What an amazing venue!! To be able to use the entire courtyard for the ceremony and cocktail hour to the ballroom. Just Gorgeous!!! Worth the amount of money we paid. And the staff…very very respectful and professional. This was my dream come true wedding. -

We had our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, reception and after party all at the Desmond. Easily the best night of my life! They catered to every possible need for us.
Joanne was absolutely incredible through the whole planning process. She made planning so easy, very responsive and helped us every step of the way. Samantha, who ran the show that day was absolutely outstanding. She was organized and really took charge of making sure everything was where it needed to be. Every single staff member we encountered was over the top nice and accommodating.
The food was incredible from the apps to the main course. The bartenders made excellent drinks!
One of the best parts for us is that you get an "outdoor" feeling wedding without dealing with any of the weather elements, balcony view rooms overlooking the courtyard and beautiful mood lighting.
Can not recommend this place enough! -

We had a fabulous experience working with the staff at the Desmond. From the very beginning, Jack Roddy and Amanda were so helpful and flexible. They listened to what we wanted and executed the day of. The space is beautiful, and it allows for a lot of creativity. We utilized the King street ballroom, Mr. D's for late night and the coi pond for brunch. We highly recommend this venue! -

To say that The Desmond is the best of the best places to have your wedding reception is an understatement. Throughout our wedding planning process, Amanda Stankavich and Jack Roddy were there every step of the way. During COVID and lockdown, we had to reschedule our wedding not once, not twice, but three times. Jack Roddy was an absolute angel on earth for us during this difficult time, and we are forever grateful to him. He made what would normally be a stressful process (rescheduling your wedding three times) seamless and he alleviated us of so much stress knowing that we were in good hands! When our special day finally arrived, Jack, Amanda, the staff at The Desmond nailed every single detail. As a bride, I felt like they took the vision of what was inside my head, and they made it happen right before my eyes. As I walked into the ballroom with my new husband to see our space for the first time, I instantly started crying happy tears. We cannot say thank you enough to them for all that they have done. Throughout our reception, the waitstaff was extremely attentive and kept checking in with us to see if we needed anything. We would recommend The Desmond to anybody in a heartbeat. We had a night that we will remember forever! -

No Place Better!
Our entire wedding weekend was amazing thanks to Amanda and the staff at the Desmond. We started with a rehearsal and dinner to follow and ended with a breakfast the day after the wedding. We had an awesome after party in the tavern with food. I didn’t worry about any of the small details and we were able to do everything on site. All of the food was amazing. The Desmond worked with all of our vendors and both of us had places to get ready. They provided top notch service all weekend. -

I would highly recommend this venue for any event or even for dinner! All of the organization of before, during and after was taken care of which made every transition perfect and painless. We love The Desmond and plan tok revisit every year!

Our wedding at the Desmond was everything I dreamed of and more. I fell in love with the space years ago and never forgot how beautiful it was. From the first meeting, we knew it was the venue for us. Yes, it is pricy - but they were able to customize our day and package to fit our needs exactly. The food was INCREDIBLE, which we were skeptical about without having tastings ahead of time. However, the best part of everything was the service. The amount of staff members who specifically found me in my suite or anywhere else on the grounds on wedding day to check in with me was amazing! The entire day was a well oiled machine and I couldn't be happier. -

Jennifer Sent on 02/02/2011Minimums are high but they are willing to work with you. You will never pay for nothing! They will always give you something for the extra money you spend. Get everything in writing at your contract meeting therefore there will be no questions towards the end. Our wedding turned out to be so beautiful and we couldnt have ask for anything more! The staff did whatever they could to make our day special. You will be in very good hands at the Desmond for any event!
