I couldn’t have been happier with Adam and the team from The Decisive Moment. They made me comfortable from the start when we first engaged over the phone. They noted that their goal was to try to capture our special moments in a way that really captures the emotion felt in the moment. This is what I noticed about their online portfolio that made me choose them as my wedding photographer, and that’s exactly what they did for our wedding and rehearsal dinner. They came through 100%! Our photos from the weekend were amazing. I felt like they really got to know us, and it showed- it helped them capture all of the important moments. Including a moment we wanted to capture with some city views before sunset, which they worked with the videographer to make possible. They worked so well with the videographer and all of the vendors on the day of the wedding which made the day go so smoothly... which is critical on your wedding day. And during the events, we barely noticed they were they were there! They were incredibly helpful (and patient!) with us while we were choosing the pictures for the album, which I really appreciated. I highly recommend these folks and I’m so glad I chose them to capture my special day ❤️ -

Stunning Photos and Exceptional Service
I can't say enough wonderful things about The Decisive Moment. I after seeing the gorgeous job Adam Linke did for my sister, I had no doubts in my mind about choosing them for my wedding day (October 2018). Not to mention, their photographs are absolutely stunning! Melissa Bugg was my photographer and I have such a special place in my heart for this woman! From our engagement shoot to the wedding day, her easy-going personality and happy demeanor truly set the scene for a beautiful experience. My husband is not the type who likes to be photographed, but he trusted Bugg and she was able to help him roll with some of the awkwardness of posing in front of the camera. She (and the rest of The Decisive Moment team) embraced my idea of including our dog Wilbur in both our engagement shoot and our wedding day which meant so much to us. I remember feeling nervous and jittery on my wedding day, but Bugg's calming presence made me feel so much better (it honestly felt like having a close friend photograph us).
Perhaps the most important part though, is that their photographs are STUNNING. I've recently been going back through my photos and literally every single one is beautiful - which makes selecting pictures for your album challenging! Our Album was included with our package, and that also came out so so perfect! My one and only complaint is that your full photo library (without the watermarks) / flash drive is not released until after you complete your album. That being said, it's a small price to pay and you won't find a better company to work with or more beautiful photos. I would absolutely recommend that if you are looking for a wedding photographer - look no further. I promise you The Decisive Moment will be the best wedding decision you make! -

I knew that choosing a great photographer was at the top of my wedding to-do list. I have always said if you are going to splurge on one thing for your wedding, it should be the photographer...that is what you will be looking at for the rest of your life, what you will be sharing with your children and grand-children. The Decisive Moment was my first choice and I am so glad we were able to book them. Jessica did such an outstanding job...I am so happy with how our photos turned out! Have absolutely zero regrets about booking them. -

Jes McGowan and Bugg were the PERFECT photographers for our wedding! We wanted a journalistic style (didn't want cameras in our faces or too many posed shots), and boy did they deliver! Every single step of the process was delightful. So professional and easy to work with. And the slideshow when the photos were ready was so much fun! They really served us wine and cheese while we watched a selection of our wedding and rehearsal photos, set to music. We ordered an album through them, and it is truly one of our most treasured possessions. I struggled with the high price tags of some vendors, but now we have gone through the experience, it totally makes sense why these pros charge what they do. Many of our friends were disappointed with their photographers, so I almost feel bad that our experience was so wonderful (but not really :D). If The Decisive Moment is in your budget, you will NOT be disappointed! -

Maria Sent on 12/06/2017I had an unconventional ceremony site and transition to reception (we walked through Piedmont park from one to the other). Our photographer took time to do a walk-through with us before our wedding date, helped us decide our ceremony time for best lighting, and took incredible photos throughout the process. Most importantly, I was connecting with my guests and new husband during the events rather than with the photographer. He totally put us at ease and the pictures capture our day perfectly.

The whole staff makes you feel like family and couldn’t have been sweeter. So thankful to have found such an amazing company :o)

We had an Indian wedding and we were thrilled to work with them for our engagement party, engagement shoot, garba, wedding and reception. We chose the DM team because we love their photojournalistic style of capturing candid moments from our guests and family. We're approaching a year since our wedding and we continue to reflect on how smart our decision was to go with this team. Jenn at the head office made the process seamless and it was a pleasure to work with Jason Seagle and Jess McGowan for our events. In the past year I've referred numerous friends to DM and they have also been so happy with the results. If you are throwing a big fat Indian wedding and like candid pictures, this is the team to work with hands down. -

Heather Sent on 01/27/2013I am a photographer, so when I set out to hire a photographer for my own wedding, it was really important to me that I find someone who not only shoots well, edits well, but who will treat their clients well. We looked at several photographers but ultimately went with TDM because their photo-journalistic style went with what we wanted from our day. We wanted a story of our day, not a series of posed photos that didn't tell anyone anything about how we felt about each other or how the day went. Not only are our photos stunning, but I feel like I look like a million dollars in every one of them without the photographers being up in our face. When I look over our wedding photos, I'll have these amazing memories of who was there and how they looked and how we felt. Our photos speak to me, they tell the story of us, and I love them. -

My husband Christopher and I can not thank you enough for your graciousness and all of your hard work in capturing all the special moments during our wedding and rehearsal dinner.
