Incredible!

We got married back in May and people still comment on how awesome the band was. DC Transit Band is super talented and did a fantastic job - they sounded incredible and the dancefloor was always full! It was a super fun night and I really have the band to thank for that! Don't hesitate to book them!

Best Band Ever!!!

Wow - Words cannot express how INCREDIBLE DC Transit band was!!! Everyone said it was the best band they had ever had at a wedding. They played pretty much the entire time - Starting with our ceremony and finishing at 9:30. They were so talented and gave us the most magical night. I’m so grateful we had them as our band and I wish we could book them for every party for the rest of our lives!!!!

Fantastic Band!!!

This band is amazing! A wedding is hard enough to plan. Do yourself a favor, hire DC transit to take a lot of stress off your plate. First of all, Cameron contacted us immediately after we submitted our inquiry. He is organized and prepared with questions, scripts, timelines, pricing, etc. He allows you to take the necessary time to answer song selections, and is familiar with all genres. After a great experience hiring and planning, it was time for our reception. Without any problems or phone calls/texts, the band showed up and was ready on time as promised. They played everything we asked them to play (and didn't play the things we didn't want). The jazz set was fantastic during cocktail hour (Shoutout on their Dave Brubeck's "Take 5"). Their dinner set got everyone excited to finish eating and hit the dance floor. We've dealt with a lot of bands, and I can say, without a doubt, this band is the easiest to work with and delivers beyond belief. Please hire this band!!!

the most AMAZING band - an experience you won't forget

I cannot write enough words to describe how incredibly fun, upbeat, and amazing The DC Transit Band was for our wedding! From the start, Cam (one of the band members and manager/coordinator/liaison) was easily reachable and was able to alleviate stress for how the day would run. He sent a script of the structure the entire day, down to the specific words. Early on, he sent a very extensive list of songs they could play and requested we mark ones we would/would not like. They had selections from wedding ballads, to 80's hits, to ABBA, to Taylor Swift, and everything in between. Day of, they had an amazing flow of the music and there was not a single skipped beat or note. They were also super flexible and learned abridged versions of multiple songs for us (including our first dance and my father/daughter dance)! To my surprise, they event sent versions of these abridged songs via email a couple of weeks before our wedding (which was SO perfect because my fiance and I could practice our first dance!).

During our actual wedding event, even before it was officially "time" to start the dancing portion of the evening, we had guests dancing to the songs because The DC Transit Band is JUST THAT GOOD. Their vocalists (a male and female singer) both have the most luxurious, beautiful voices that compliment each other. They also have so many musical artists in their band (including a saxophone!!) that each song sounds so full and beautiful. At the end of the night, I'm pretty sure every single guest had raving reviews of the band. Even at our farewell brunch the next day, the guests were abuzz with the amazing talent of The DC Transit Band. I cannot recommend them enough -- book them if you want a fun filled, upbeat night with AMAZING vibes and superbly talented vocals.

From planning to our wedding night, The DC Transit Band was everything I could have asked for!

To start, just book them!! From the start of our planning experience through our wedding night, The DC Transit Band was phenomenal! Cam (the Band Manager) was so personable and professional, and always made himself available to answer any questions I had. He came prepared to every call we had and was always willing to offer his professional advice, which I needed and very much appreciated. During our wedding EVERYONE raved about how talented and fun they were. The dance floor was NEVER empty for three straight hours. My husband and I cannot thank them enough for being everything we could have wished for. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Wonderful experience

Cam and the band accommodated every wish. They learned 4 new songs (including one that would be sung in Korean by the bride’s parents) and didn’t bat an eye. They were flexible throughout the evening and followed our every wish, even making changes to the schedule on the fly when things didn’t go quite as planned. The value for the experience was phenomenal, and we couldn’t be happier with the band’s professionalism and skill. They really helped set the tone for the evening.

Cam was responsive and communicative throughout the planning process and made us feel comfortable every step of the way. Very easy to work with, and a gentleman.

Say YES to DC transit!

Working with Cameron and this incredible band was not only easy, it was fun! I am so thrilled with the incredible job they did and the entertainment they provided for us and our guests! They are upbeat, flexible, cater to requests, and are just an all around GREAT BAND! We can't wait to see them play again somewhere and re-live our wedding dancing!

Best choice for a wedding band!

Hire the DC Transit Band for your wedding, you won't regret it! Cam was super responsive and accommodating to our needs when it came to our wedding, they even learned 4 new songs just for us (by the way, if you are undecided on a first dance song, Lindsay absolutely rocked the band's version of Lover by Taylor Swift)! They even provided the music to our ceremony that was held outside of the reception hall. The best part about them is that you could tell they were truly having a great time up there on stage, and it showed through their music. We continue to get compliments about the band even a month after our wedding. They were all we could ever ask for!

Simply Awesome Guest Experience

Absolutely highly recommend DC Transit from an entertainment and professional point of view. The entire band was talented, energetic, yet down to earth and easy to work with. They learned two new songs for the first dances and provided us with those tracks in advance to review. The horns made the band's overall sound so rich. During the cocktail hour, the horns provided a jazz quartet for background mood music. Wedding dinner and dancing featured the full 9 member band playing. The only break the band took was during the best man/maid of honor speeches. Afterwards, they played a straight 2 1/2 hour set. The band read the crowd extremely well and kept the dance floor packed all night long with great, upbeat music. DC Transit provided a simply awesome experience for all our wedding guests.

Professionals who bring the party

We booked the DC Transit Band after loving their performance at a friend's wedding, and couldn't be happier with our choice.

Cam was extraordinarily easy to work with. He promptly answered every email and kept close track of all our special requests. The rest of the band was every bit as accommodating - making requested changes mid-reception without any difficulty. Our venue, which coordinated with the band, praised their early arrival, quick setup/takedown, and overall professionalism.

Countless guests complimented us on the band both during and after the reception, and with good reason. They did a great job getting guests of all ages on their feet - not easy to do with a reception that ran from 7pm to midnight. Our wedding wouldn't have been the same without them, and I could not recommend them highly enough.

Easiest wedding decision there was

If you are reading reviews - just stop. Go ahead and book DC Transit Band before someone else snatches them up.

I first heard of DC Transit Band from a friend. She heard them at a wedding, and the next morning texted me to tell me that she found my wedding band. As soon as I got engaged,my fiance and I reached out and we couldn't be MORE thrilled with our decision. From the start, Cam and the group have been an absolute DELIGHT to work with. My husband and I went to listen to them one night at a bar and were blown away by their talent. When we finally got to chat with them during set-break, we were blown away by how nice and fun and all-around great they were.

My husband and I procrastinated a little about our song-selection. Cam was so patient and professional and helped guide us through our check-list and gave us some great suggestions and guidance as we chose some special songs. He helped coordinate a string quartet for the ceremony who was incredible and nailed our songs (including a very special request song for my husband as he walked down the aisle).

And at our party, Cam, Lindsey and the band were the best! They learned some songs for us (and on short-notice, much appreciated!!). They kept everyone on the dance floor and bouncing around. There wasn't a down moment, I just wish the party was longer so they could have kept playing. So, so many people throughout the evening kept coming up to us and complimenting the band.

Music is such an important choice at a wedding and can make or break a party. DC Transit Band is the best choice you could make. Their voices were on point, the instruments were on point, their song selection was on point. They made our wedding into a beautiful live affair and we couldn't be happier with our decision. We hope we have another special event soon and get the chance to hire them again! Do yourself a favor and stop looking at anyone else, you WILL NOT find anything better.

I was the wedding coordinator—the band was recommended to the bride. I screened the band and was exceedingly impressed.

Cam and the DC Transit Band were amazing! They truly rocked the crowd. Our bride and groom were very much into their music and worked with Cam on the music selections. They even learned new songs! Everything was perfect! Their energy was high; the announcements were done professionally. They adhered to our timing schedule. And they were nice and very communicative throughout the planning process. I have only the highest praise for Cam and the DC Transit Band. As the event planner, I was exceedingly thrilled. The parents and their friends danced the night away —the bride and groom was still over the moon! Thank you for making Lindsay and Adam’s wedding at the Intercontinental DC Wharf the best one ever!!

The best decision we made about out wedding was to hire DC Transit Band. They went above and beyond our expectations and I could not be more thankful. Everyone I spoke with at and after our wedding complemented the performance. It was a hot day for our wedding and they were still so high energy and fun! The music selection was perfect and we are just so happy about how everything went. They put together an amazing selection of fun music and kept the party going! The DC Transit Band were wonderful to work with from the beginning. My company used them for a corporate anniversary party and they were extremely accommodating and responsive. Cam is fantastic and he was easy to get a hold of and made the whole process seamless. The band was SO much fun and had a range of songs to get all ages on the dance floor. They are a great value (9-piece band!) and you won't regret hiring them.

Wow. Your crazy if you do not engage The DC Transit Band for your event!! They went out of there way to develop a play list for our event that had a broad age group and a variety of tastes. They even learned several new songs that we had requested. The jazz during our cocktail hour was amazing. Sadly we could have danced a whole lot longer as the evening went way to fast. The communication during the planning stages was flawless. Thanks again to Cam and his world class musicians. Chuck Lawrence - Sailing Club of the Chesapeake. DC Transit Band was the BEST decision we made during the whole wedding process!!! Cam was absolutely wonderful and easy to work with and he went above and beyond to make our wedding special. He visited our venue on his own time to get a feel for our lay out and that truly made a difference! The whole band was set up in the most perfect locations during cocktail hour, the dinner, and the reception to set the perfect mood. Two months later, our guests are still telling us how much they LOVED the band. They were that much of a HIT! A million times better than any DJ and they were very reasonably priced. Best decision we made!

Dc transit played at our sons new years eve wedding, they were phenominal, from the ceremony to the coctail hour through the wedding reception they had everyone talking about how fantastic they were. People never stopped dancing they has 200 people out on the floor all night !! They played till 1 am and honestly we could of kept on going , they are professional but really easy to work with.

DC Transit Band really made our wedding! They are fabulous and SO accommodating and easy to work with! They worked up a special ceremony entrance song just for me and worked with us on all of our requests. They are great entertainers, stick to your script and requests and keep the party going! Our guests are still raving about them! They are truly the best touch to any reception!

Hiring the DC Transit was one of the best decisions we made in all of our wedding planning.

Cam was very responsive, easy to work with, and did a great job of accommodating our requests for songs, programming items, etc. We had a lot of input into what songs were played at the wedding and they even learned a few new songs just for us.

The band itself brought down the house during the reception. They did a fantastic job of getting the whole crowd dancing all night. The songs in their line up are extensive, relevant, and fantastically preformed. We received many compliments on them after the wedding and a number of our friends have asked about how to book them for their own events.

Additionally their value is unmatched. They provided a nine piece band for the reception and a four piece jazz combo for the cocktail hour at a literally unbelievable price. Also for a small additional fee their piano player provided music at our ceremony .

I can't speak highly enough of the DC Transit, I would hire them again every day of the week and twice on Sundays. You're crazy if you look somewhere else.

Look no further! DC Transit was the best choice we made. It really brought our wedding celebration to its full potential. Excellent playlist, talent, communication, and we had the best dance party. We honestly had so much fun at our own wedding and would not have changed a single thing.

DC Transit is such an incredible band! I could not have imagined a more energetic, talented, down-to-earth group of musicians to play at our wedding. From the moment they started playing, everyone knew that we would have an incredible time dancing. They even LEARNED new songs for us for our "special songs" such as first dance, etc. Their horns section adds an incredible dynamic to their playlist. They pulled off songs like "September" and "Superstition" and had everyone singing and dancing along. While they were playing their dinner set and everyone was eating, they started playing "At Last" and I was so moved by the music that I had to pull my husband up on the dance floor. We think of that as our "second" first dance! I highly recommend this band to all of my friends and family for their events. They are, simply put, incomparable!!

If you don't read the whole review, the summary is this- hire this band, do it. You will not be disappointed.

Everyone at our wedding, EVERYONE, said it was the best band they had ever heard at a wedding, and a lot of guests said it was one of the best bands they have heard, period. They were so entertaining that the venue we booked asked me for the band's information so that they could work the band into their recommended entertainment for when people book the venue.
I am a professional musician and have heard and played with a lot of talented people and groups, but the D.C. Transit Band is the best band you can hire that I've ever seen, without question. The singers are incredible and know how to work the crowd, and the band behind them is really tight on every song, everyone locked in with each other. From "Shout" to "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" to "Uptown Funk" to "Can't Stop the Feeling" to every other song in between, they were perfect. Plus, the only break they took for the night was for best man / maid of honor speeches.
We didn't just get the dinner music though- their keyboard player provided the music for the ceremony. My wife had very specific requests for the party entrance music, the bridal entrance, and the recessional music, and he played each song perfectly. The horns provided a jazz quartet for cocktail hour, then the whole 9 piece band did dinner and dancing.
Long story short- you cannot get more for your money than you can with the D.C. Transit Band. They could have charged double what they did and would have still been the best value of anything I've spent money on. For what they provide and the price they charge, you're basically losing money if you hire anyone else.

Wow, just wow. Cam and The DC transit band rocked the house for our wedding in May 2017. From the start they were great to work with, completely professional, and so much fun too. We can't thank them enough for learning multiple songs for is and playing them better then we could have hoped for. The Jazz combo for the cocktail hour was a great hit, and then they rocked the night away in the reception and the full nine piece band. We cannot thank them enough for making our wedding more than we could have ever hoped for.

The DC Transit Band provided music for our wedding reception on October 23rd, 2016 and they were awesome! They're an extremely talented group of musicians and our guests certainly appreciated it. They provided the right volume and mood for dinner music, but were also really able to turn it up for the dance floor later in the night. They play in a range of styles and always sound amazing. They even helped us with our cocktail hour music- connecting us with a Celtic duo that was a side project of one of the members of the band. My husband and I are both musicians and a large portion of our guests were high caliber musicians. Everybody said they loved the band. The DC Transit Band is an unbelievable value and you won't regret booking them! Thank You!

From start to finish, Cam and the DC Transit Band were top notch! Cam was always responsive and professional and really knows his stuff! They learned several songs for our wedding and played them beautifully. Our guests were up dancing before the main course was even served. They even cheered "One more song, one more song!" at the end of the night when the lights came up. The band was kind enough to play an encore which ROCKED THE HOUSE.

Our guests cannot stop raving about DC Transit Band - I've even had a few ask for their contact information.

How can we begin to tell you how great DC Transit Band was. They kept the party going all night with great music and were able to read the crowd beautifully. We got so many complements from people about how great the band was. I wanted to play a special song for my wife on banjo and they were down for it and made me sound great. Also, they lead a great Hora (for those looking at Jewish weddings). I seriously can not begin to recommend them enough. We plan on going to hear them at events around D.C. Cam was so great working through.

If you want a band that is accommodating, friendly, has a wide range of songs to suit every taste, and sounds great playing them, you'll want to book The DC Transit Band. I can't tell you how many guests commented on how great the band was. They played for six hours and the energy that they brought to the room never flagged. People were up and dancing all night. They even hit the photo booth, which was awesome.

DC Transit played at our ceremony and reception--they are amazing! They had the whole room dancing, and our guests loved them. They were still talking about our band days after the wedding! From my first inquiry in February to the end of my daughter’s wedding last weekend, it was clear I was dealing with consummate professionals who love music, thrive on crowd feedback, and can get (and keep) a party going!! Leading up to the event, our venue coordinator confirmed that this was a great band with which to work and that even she had received positive feedback about the band. I have received several comments, texts, messages, and posts from our guests about this fantastic band. As with any big event, there is a lot of behind-the-scenes activity, but the band was front and center for my daughter’s wedding making it “the best day of her life.” Actually, they are masterful at both: the behind-the-scenes activity managed by Cam Towner made the event look effortless. He spoke with my daughter and me before the event to make sure everything was on track, prepared a timeline of the event, a script to ensure order and pronunciations were correct, and added songs to the band’s repertoire for the father-daughter dance and closing numbers. Customer service was OUTSTANDING! The jazz quartet was perfect for the cocktail hour, and I honestly wanted to dance during dinner hour music—it’s all that uplifting! Their specialty though was in creating a fun and festive atmosphere for the reception. The dance floor was never empty, the sound was great, the lead singers were amazing, and the musicians were talented and versatile—just the perfect blend of creativity, energy, and technique. They played just the right mix of current hits, party classics, and special requests. Wow!! We literally had to herd people off the dance floor for the sparkler send-off. I honestly cannot recommend DC Transit Band highly enough!

The DC Transit Band is a group of absolute pros. You'll love working with Cam, the band's bass player and head logistics and coordination man! I promise, keep looking for a band and you will not find a higher-quality, more talented, more professional and more party-oriented group out there for the money. These were some of the best dollars we spent for our ENTIRE wedding - our guests (along with my wife and I!) were talking about these guys for weeks after the wedding.

The DC Transit Band played for our 25th wedding anniversary, and did a fantastic job. They played the best dance music as well as the requested "first dance" song. They kept the party jumping with their high energy performances, and also kept us on track acting as a MC to ensure we got the events (like cutting the cake) completed when we wanted. Their professionalism was excellent and we received tons of compliments during and after event from our guests about how great the band was -and they were! They play the perfect variety of music that everyone hears their favorite songs. You can't go wrong with a band that has 2 fabulous singers, great musicians, and of course, a horn section! We loved the DC Transit Band's performance at our event and would hire them again for sure!

If you are looking for a band, want incredible quality and value for your money, zero headaches, people who put up with your craziness, and a set of very happy, excited, and entertained guests – Good news. DC Transit Band is/does all that and more.

My fiancée and I crashed weddings and charity event, we drove to out of town to the north and south, we stood in bars and flopped on basement practice rom couches – all to see over a dozen bands. We wanted our event to be perfect – Meaning everyone would have a great time (dance a lot to great music), we would not spend a crap-ton of money, and probably most importantly, we would not have to worry about anything on our big day - so that we could just enjoy ourselves.

It is sad that we had to see so many bands before we realized that no one would top DC Transit – we could have saved ourselves literally days of time.
Seriously – If there is one piece of advice I can give to anyone considering a band for their event, don’t be fooled by DC transit’s relatively low fee – this is a situation where you get more than you pay for (in a great way!) Book them. You will not regret it.

They will rock your event, but probably even more valuable for us (and maybe for you?), they were incredibly accommodating of our desire to have customized songs, change plans at the last minute, send us recordings of new versions of particular songs, and generally good-naturedly demonstrate patience and understanding in the face of what most normal people would consider an overly demanding bride and groom.

I can’t say enough good things about the DC Transit Band. (I’d probably max out the character limit here.) But one final point – make sure you pick some songs that take advantage of their horns. They kick ass.

DC Transit Rocked! They're an amazing group that play terrific music. Great arrangement, two awesome singers and every instrument you could want (including an horn section!). D.C. Transit played at our daughter's wedding and we could not be happier. Cam and the entire band were wonderful. While being very professional they were so much fun. You could tell that they really enjoyed being there and wanted to make our event very special.

Cam is wonderful to work with and we were impressed and liked him immediately when we met him and the band at a venue earlier where we went to hear them play.

I was unbelievably fortunate to have found the DC Transit band!!! I was instantly the BEST Mother-of-the-Bride ever!!! Long before the actual date – Cam Towner – The managing musician - asked questions about the entire Wedding Ceremony and Reception as it was all in the same place, and set-up a timeline for the entire wedding. They provided all the equipment for an outdoor wedding, i.e.: the Officiates microphone - who thinks about that? I didn't! They provided all the LIVE music as the guests arrived (no recorded music) and set the tone for the entire wedding. My daughter walked down the aisle to a very special song that their male lead singer - Joshua Alfred- sang at my daughters request - It was perfect!!
Lindsay Diles, the lead female singer, took over as the Emcee and it was smooth sailing! The entire band was amazing!!
But beyond their outstanding talent and professionalism, here is the part that I will forever be indebted to DC Transit for – Tropical Storm Bill!!
The weather was beautiful - but we knew we “might” get some evening rain as we were on the outer edge of Tropical Storm Bill. We were at a beautiful wedding Pavilion in Frederick, but I had not wanted the rain/wind walls to the Pavilion to be attached – because I truly believed it would stay perfect! Funny thing – I really should have said yes to the rain/wind walls! But DC Transit played on – through two power outages and torrential downpours! It was a deluge of rain and wind!! The band moved their equipment away from the edges, the guests moved the tables in closer, and the band played on!!! When the Venue lost power the band sang and the guests sang with them! They saved my daughter’s wedding! It was truly amazing! They were absolutely the calming force in the storm!!!
I can’t say enough about The DC Transit Band. To ‘weather’ my daughter’s wedding was the culmination of years of experience and professionalism and LOVE - the DC Transit Band is amazing!!!

We booked DC Transit Band for our recent May wedding, and we are so glad we did! From the start, Cam the band leader, was engaging and responsive as we planned our day. He met with us and listened to all of our requests, but more importantly suggested ways to make the evening move more smoothly. On the day, the jazz quartet was great, a perfect accompaniment to our outdoor cocktail hour. During our reception, the full band was absolutely spectacular. They provided the perfect entertainment for our guests and kept everyone dancing all night. We expected the band to be great, but they exceeded our expectations ten fold. The DC Transit Band was amazing!... I'll start off with coordinating with Cam the band lead and trying to organize the program for our wedding. Cam was so prompt in responding to any questions at any time, and any requests that I had he made it happen. They were the only vendor for my wedding that I did not feel stressed or didn't have to worry about anything at all. Any song choice we needed, they were able to play it. Although the song choice for our first dance and mother/grooms' dance was not listed on their repertoire, they were able to practice it and play it within a couple of weeks time. They also provided a jazz quartet during our cocktail hour which was perfect, and their instrumentals were so beautiful. They played a variety of music from the 60s to today!... Lindsey and Josh the lead singers were phenomenal, their voices had our guests so emotional especially during our first dance. They had all our guests on their feet, having a great time and everyone couldn't help but only to say that the band was what made our wedding spectacular and so magical!. They showed up on time, was very prompt, and coordinating with them was so easy and they were so reliable. We would highly recommend the DC transit band for any venue! We'll see them at our 10 yr anniversary!.

DC Transit went above and beyond for our wedding. They accommodated a request I thought no one would fufill and made this special event even more memorable than I ever thought it could be. Almost 3 weeks after the wedding I'm still running into people that are asking who this band was and where can I contact them. They are truly a top-notch, professional and incredibly fun band. We used the DC transit band for our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception music. They were incredible and our guests raved about them throughout the night and afterwards. They kept our dance floor moving and played a great selection of music. They were also extremely responsive to our emails and requests prior to the wedding, agreeing to learn a song for my husband and I to sing as a duet with the band in lieu of a first dance that they also provided to us to rehearse beforehand - it was a highlight of our wedding and a memory we will never forget. We had looked around at other bands in the DC area before selecting DC transit, and DC Transit is by far the best value for the quality of service and music that they provide. You can't go wrong selecting them!!

The DC transit Band was awesome at my daughter's wedding. The entire band was magnificent and as many guests specifically mentioned to me, they played for everyone of all ages. The horns and other band members were fantastic! Both vocalists were wonderful and Lindsay Diles did a terrific job in emceeing the event.

They worked with my daughter in planning for the selections of music and program. They were willing to do anything we wanted. A true professional and easy group to work with.

Everyone applauded your band and as one knows ,a band can make or break an event. My nephew and brother-in-law and nephew, who are are aficionados of rock and bands, could not stop saying how wonderful the band was.were. What was also great is during the dinner, the band was playing acoustical music during dinner so everyone could hear each other with the music in the background. This was great plus the band did not play so u reasonably loud, a common complaint I and others have at events we have been to. The band's selections covered both oldies and
new in a seamless way. DCTransit is a wonderful band and made an exceptionally wonderful event even. more outstanding.

WOW. Words cannot express how amazing the DC Transit band really is. They are true professionals in every sense of the word. Through emails and phone calls, Cam, our contact, was on point with every question that needed to be asked, and then some. They helped us plan out our entire night and helped us stick to the schedule throughout. What we loved most was no matter what we requested - be it our indie/shoo wop first dance (baby i'm yours), or a song dedicated to my cousin by Taylor Swift - the band never paused for a moment. They learned it all and KILLED it as if they have been playing Taylor for years.
You can easily see how much fun the band is having the entire time they play and their enthusiasm is totally addictive. I am so glad I brought a pair of dancing sandals to change in to because I was on the dance floor all night long.
Every time I talk to family & friends, they continually mention how much fun they had listening and dancing to the best band they have heard in years. DC Transit made our wedding one to remember and we love them so much for it!!

The DC Transit Band MADE our wedding! Our guests are still raving about them! Working with Cam was such a pleasure. He was willing to go the extra mile and covered all the details which really put me at ease. Everyone in the band was enthusiastic, professional and extremely talented. Josh sang our first dance song and blew everyone away right off the bat. Lindsay's energy and powerhouse vocals got everyone up and dancing! Kevin played the keyboard during our ceremony and it was exactly how I had hoped. It was truly flawless.

TWO days before the wedding, I emailed Cam last minute and told him that I'd love to surprise my fiance with the Redskins groom's cake after our cake cutting and if there was any possibility the band could play the Redskin's song. He said "no problem" and it turned out to be one of our favorite memories! The band's willingness to go the extra mile meant so much to us.

My wife I recently were wed in Blue Mont, VA. We hired the D.C. Transit band to perform at our outdoor ceremony and reception. I was extremely impressed with their professionalism, enthusiasm, energy and class. I would highly recommend this horn band to anyone couple that wants to have a memorable wedding.

The band, under the direction of Cam Towner, was very responsive to desires of my wife and I. They made it a point to inquire what genre (s) of music we wanted to have performed during the wedding planning process. Their prices were very reasonable and fit in our tight budget.

Since our wedding all of our guests have ranted and raved about how amazing the music and atmosphere was during our reception. I would highly recommend this class "A" ensemble for any special event or occasion you may be planning.

DC Transit was the perfect wedding band. They are incredibly talented musicians with great energy and style. They played a 3 hour set for our wedding (with no breaks) with great songs and kept the dance floor full the entire night (all ages!)

Cam (our contact) was very responsive and helpful from the moment we reached out to him, and DC Transit took care of all of our sound needs throughout the night (Kevin played the keyboard for the ceremony and Cam took care of the miking, four of the members played a jazz quartet for cocktail hour, Cam set up the audio system for dinner, and the band played our reception). Every member in the band was friendly, responsible, and competent, and made us confident that the music/audio would go off without a hitch.

DC Transit was very reasonably priced for all of the service we received--we can't say enough good things about our experience!

The DC Transit Band was INCREDIBLE! They played the entire night (without a break, even!) and had the guests dancing the whole time!! I loved their song selection and their energy throughout the whole night. We were so lucky to find such a talented nine piece band!! They made our wedding an absolute blast. Nearly all the seats stayed empty because no one wanted to leave the dance floor!! I would highly recommend them!!

I cannot recommend the DC Transit Band more highly! Their talent level was through the roof! The set list was second to none! Our dance floor was packed the entire night, and no one sat down until the lights came up! We had the pianist play at our ceremony and the jazz quartet at cocktail hour. The band played the reception and our guests literally booed when they took a break for 10 minutes! We cannot recommend any vendor more highly. DC Transit truly made our wedding unforgettable for us and our guests. Their talent, enthusiasm, and flexibility should make them the first people you book for your special day~ Enjoy working with Cam, who is terrific, and Lindsey's amazing vocals will take your breath away. Great band! They were super fun and easy to work with. Working with Cameron took a lot of anxiety out of the planning process. They took the time to learn all the special songs I wanted and had a very fun repertoire. Very professional. I didn't have to worry about a thing!

Five stars are not enough. The DC Transit Band is a group of talented, professional, dedicated and personable musicians, whose love of what they do shows through in their performance. Then, there are the fabulous vocal performances…totally engaged and soulful! Lindsey (one of the singers) was the emcee, and did is flawlessly. Cameron (the band “leader”,) worked closely with me before the wedding, to be sure the details of the reception were addressed. I could go on and on about how great my daughter’s wedding reception was….my guest are still talking about it. It was a day that I will always remember. It was a party that I will never forget!

DC Transit Band could not have been more amazing at our wedding! Cam was great to work with in the months leading up to the wedding and the band even learned some songs for us at the last minute. They had eveyrone on their feet dancing throughout the night and so many of our guests have told us how great they were. Thanks for being a part of our wedding and for making it that much more amazing!

If you agree what they say, that the band will make the wedding, this is absolutely the band for you. Total professionals, with incredible talent, from a jazz ensemble playing perfect 40s tunes through the meal, to kicking-it-in for 'dance dance dance' with modern and motown...horns, sax, key board, guitars, flute, drums, singers, all fantastic (even our minister got on up!). The band leader ensured the music met the itinerary throughout to meet the bride and groom's departure schedule, and to match our many details; he easily mixed it up when we were running behind with our events and made sure the music matched with perfect timing. I've never seen that before. You need that kind of attention to detail so there's no stress for the wedding party. Our happy couple left to "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" with everyone on a high!!! The DC Transit Band is truly amazing!!! You will love them!!!

It wasn't for a wedding, but rather a charity fundraiser, but these guys brought the house down. We had 600 people there, which is a rather large audience, and everyone I've spoken to absolutely loved these guys. Can't say enough about the professionalism and music quality. And what a deal! In comparison to prices from other elite bands in the area, choosing the DC Transit Band is a no-brainer. We couldn't have asked for a better first event, and it was all thanks to these guys. OF course they are coming back next year. They are also a pleasure to work with, as the band leader, Cameron, is incredibly easy to get in touch with. Great work, guys!

I checked out a lot of bands prior to booking, and without a doubt the DC Transit Band is the best value and most entertaining. They aren't just a wedding band, but a local band I would go see because they are just that much fun and the quality of their performance is that impeccable!They were the perfect band for our wedding! If we ever need to hire a band again, we would go directly back to DC Transit without hesitation. Its so much work to coordinate with so many vendors for a wedding, but they truly made the band aspect of our wedding a delight. They learned special songs we requested, helped us with coordinating special moments, and kept the party rockin....when none of the guests wanted to leave, you know it was a good party! They can play EVERYTHING! And we had them do it all...jazz, acoustic, rock. They nailed everything from Bruce Springsteen to "Hey Ho" by the Lumineers....and it was all awesome! Lindsay has a wonderful voice and her personality and stage presences is infectiously happy. I loved talking with Cam, the band leader, he is so helpful, responsive, and friendly. I can full-heartily recommend DC Transit.

The DC Transit Band was amazing! They were super flexible with our continuously changing outdoor wedding. And they did an excellent job of taking the music the both the groom and I liked and making a good mix of songs that would get people dancing into the night. I am so glad I found them and hope to have another party again soon so I can enjoy their wonderful energy again!

The DC Transit band learned every song I asked them to- in not a lot of time! They were involved, caring, professional, responsible, diligent- made a site survey to ensure perfect location. These guys were awesome- everyone danced, everyone had the best time ever!!

The DC Transit Band is AMAZING! I have worked two weddings with them this year and I couldn't be happier. They are extremely professional and very talented. It is easy for them to pack the dance floor. I would have never known they were a newer band. I can't wait to work with them again! Lindsey is a powerhouse on the vocals:)

For anyone considering a live band for an event, especially a wedding, I highly recommend DC Transit. It was amazing having such a large band play at our wedding. We received so many compliments about how great they were. Also with all the instruments they play DC Transit has a lot of versatility with song choices and genres. They played both a jazz set for our meal and a lot of great dancing songs from classics to modern hits. They were also very easy to work with through the entire process. They accommodated all the requests we had and were very friendly all the time. We will definitely go see them play anytime they are in my area..

DC transit band was awesome! I was a bit nervous at first since they are fairly new to the scene and so inexpensive. They blew me away at the wedding with their performance. I could not have been happier working with them. Cam was a pleasure to work with and bent over backwards to make sure we were happy with everything. I only wish I could give them a higher score.

We hired DC Transit for our daughter's wedding at the Mandarin Oriental. They were AMAZING'. They went out of their way to do everything in their power to please us. Whatever we asked them to do, was done to perfection and with a smile. We asked them to play some "Jewish songs", and they learned our requested music, and played them perfectly. We asked them to play the trumpet during the ceremonial recessional while we had military crossed swords, and again it was timed perfectly. They had a jazz trio during cocktail hour, and moved into the full 10piece band for the 4 hour reception. Fom start to finish, they were a pleasure to work with, and made our daughter's wedding a huge success. From announcing the bridal party, through the first dance, the toasts,cake cutting, etc, everything flowed perfectly. I would strongly recommend them! Not only are they the best, but they are very reasonably priced. You couldn't get anyone better or more professional for any price!

This is the second wedding i had DC Transit band perform. All I can say is Book Them. Do not hesitate Book Them. Just awesome Cam, Lyndsey are true processionals and sound great. If I had a third daughter I would Book Them Again !

DC Transit band rocked our wedding in Blumont, VA. They were very professional, great musicians who did everything to make our wedding unforgettable. Cam and his 9 piece band received a lot of compliments from our guests. They were on cue and on point from 80's to 2000's.

DC Transit Band performed at our outdoor wedding and everyone loved them. They were gracious with even the littlest wedding guest and played a wide variety of music. Interactive and able to get the crowd engaged. Had many compliments from guests.

DC Transit was VERY accommodating to our needs and clientele. They did our New Years Eve celebration. They did the range of music, from mood to jazz quintet to rocking the show and getting people dancing. That's the range they offer and fantastically executed. Things didn't go according to our projected plan and they rolled with the punches better than most. I was very happy with the end result and our clientele LOVED them. Great show, great atmosphere, wonderful to work with.

We loved having the DC Transit Band perform at our wedding. Working with Cam was very easy and they were so nice to learn several songs for us. They provided a jazz quartet during dinner, which was terrific and the full band played during the reception. DC Transit Band did a fantastic job in mixing old and new songs and keeping people on the dance floor (especially towards the end of the evening). We were so glad we chose this group and would recommend them to anyone who wants a killer band at a very affordable price point.

We absolutely loved The DC Transit Band.

They were responsive and helpful in the weeks leading up, which took a lot of stress out of the planning process.

Their set was a perfect mix, which the group played with some great energy. Our guests flooded the dance floor on the first song. We got everything we were hoping for from our wedding band.

For weeks following our wedding, people kept mentioning how much they loved the band. We would recommend DC Transit in a heartbeat.
