Soolah, DJ to the STARS!!

We worked with Soolah for our wedding and she was an absolute gem. She and the rest of the Dapper DJs team made the entire process a breeze. Their online portal was nice and easy and Soolah was communicative the entire time to ensure we had everything set up to go. We had some unconventional things during our reception (live singer for first dance, etc) and she made sure we knew it wasn’t the tiniest bit of an issue. During our reception, she had one of the co-owners with her as well, Jack. I got to have a lovely chat with him about their business, the job, and just various other things that was an absolute pleasure. In general, they’re just good people all across the board. Not to mention that Soolah kept the vibes up all night long!! Wonderful people, wonderful DJs, for a wonderful price!

DJ Najee killed it!

Booking the Dapper DJs for our wedding was one of the best choices we made during our entire planning process. They were very easy to book and communicate with. When it came to the actual wedding, our DJ, Najee, was a huge hit! So many of our guests told us how much they liked him and the energy he brought. Due to a weather mishap, we had to extend the dancing hours of our wedding but Najee didn’t miss a beat. He kept the energy high and the party going for hours and made the wedding an epic dance party of all our guests. We had a blast thanks to Najee!

Had Us Dancing All Night Long!

Brent was wonderful to work with! Walking through and building our playlists for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception was one of the top most (if not the top most) enjoyable part of the wedding planning process. They're the best in the business!

Najee Wedding DJ

We hired Najee for our wedding and he was AMAZING! We talked with him for our initial consultation about Dapper DJ's, then another call once we had hired him, and one a few weeks before the event. He explained everything that was included in the price - plus any extras we could add on - very clearly and never tried to upsell anything at all. He was so friendly and easy to chat with and was always excited for and receptive to our ideas of the vibe we were going for. He is such a likeable guy that by the end of the first call you will want him at your wedding as a friend as well!

Once we decided on Najee, Dapper DJ's sent us a portal link where we could upload songs and Spotify playlists for different parts of the event (ceremony, dinner, reception, etc.) which made everything super easy. They also included a section to add songs to “must play,” “play if you can,” and “do not play” lists. Signing the contract and making payments online also went smoothly.

The day of, he had everything set up before we even realized he had arrived and had several mics (handheld and lapel) to choose from for the ceremony. Our venue was a café split over two floors, and he did an amazing job coordinating people for different parts of the evening that took place either downstairs or upstairs, so the transitions felt seamless. He was a great MC - introducing everyone who gave speeches, hyping up the crowd for hitting our pinata, getting the dancing started, setting up the bouquet toss, first dance, everything! During the reception, we had so many guests come up to us asking "Where did you find this guy?? He's awesome!" The music and transitions were perfect, and he played a great mix of both the songs we had requested and his own that fit the current mood.

And he proved the accuracy of the Dapper DJ’s name, because several people said word for word: "He looks so dapper.”

We were originally on the fence about hiring a DJ at all to try to save some money, but we are SO glad we hired Najee. To say he was worth it would be an understatement. He really made the wedding, and we could not recommend him more!!

Perfect Garden Party Wedding DJ

We love Dapper DJs!

We LOVED our experience with the Dapper DJs! They were a perfect fit for us, and I feel like we got an amazing experience for the price we paid. From the beginning, communication with the whole team was clear, timely, and easy. I had an introductory call with Alex where we went over everything, and then a call with Marcos who eventually became our DJ. My husband and I clicked with Marcos immediately because we share similar music tastes. Both of these calls were quick to schedule and I found everyone very dependable to work with. Marcos did an incredible job as our DJ/MC. His management of our ceremony sound and music cues was perfect, and he did a great job guiding the reception. He had no trouble with timing or names for anyone, and made it such a good experience. Most importantly, his dancefloor management was flawless. He flowed easily between more current pop songs, the 2000s alt pop we told him we liked, and more classic wedding songs. His transitions were so great, no song went on too long and it kept people interested all night. The dancefloor was full the whole 2ish hours we were going! Many guests mentioned to me what a great job they felt he did, both at the event and in the days after. We can’t recommend Marcos or the Dapper DJs enough!

Awesome DJ that fit our vibe perfectly!

Najee was our DJ and he was absolutely awesome!!! He really made our wedding flow well and was attentive to our guests and requests. It's almost been 2 months and friends are still talking about how great he was!
The only down sides were that the website you add your music selections to is pretty dated and the process to get a contract together wasn't smooth.

Fun and Professional

Najee is the best DJ!

Najee DJ'd for our small outdoor wedding, and he did a fantastic job! He brought two picnic victrolas, which our guests loved, and did a great job of keeping our guests out on the dance floor. He did a great job too of adjusting as things changed through the day.

Uriel is the Best!!

Working with Dapper DJs was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Uriel was amazing and went above and beyond to really make our night special!! We cannot recommend him enough! We really appreciated his approach in preparing for the wedding - which included keeping track of multiple spreadsheets filled with special music queues, wedding reception moments, and all of our top songs. He was so helpful and easy to talk to, and he made sure to ask us about the small details that really made the day special. Our guests loved him and we still get compliments on the music and the atmosphere he created. Our wedding included a fusion of Indian and Western elements and Uriel handled switching between different moments with ease!! It was such a special day for us and our guests.

Dapper DJs made our wedding even more amazing

Dapper DJs is so easy to work with, we loved that there were options for different price points and different DJs to pick from within those price points. They recommend you chat with several DJs to find the right fit for you and your event. They are very transparent during the entire process, and it was so great to work with the admin (Kendra) and our DJ (Najee) to make our event perfect.

Najee was spectacular and our guests cannot stop talking about how personable and energetic he was during the event. We expected nothing less from the meetings we had with him. He is friendly, genuine, hilarious, and incredibly talented. From keeping the ceremony perfectly paced to keeping up with the energy in the reception, Najee is truly amazing at his job and we would recommend him and Dapper DJs for any event.

Fun and Easy to Work With!

We first encountered Najee from the Dapper DJs at a wedding expo and were immediately drawn to his vintage equipment and his impeccable outfit. He was friendly and fun to chat with so we looked them up. Their company had a look we loved and they had the attitude we were looking for: making our wedding what we wanted to the best of their ability and not trying to shoehorn us in to some template. They made the whole process pretty easy, from payments to selecting which songs we wanted, and just as importantly, letting us pick songs we didn’t want. When we had a minor communications snafu early on, Alex, the owner, helped out and made sure everything got sorted out and the process went smoothly from there.

Our DJ, Chris, was fun to get to know (we bonded a bit over Star Wars, favorite movie songs, and my husband’s video game interests), and he kept emphasizing that he was there to facilitate, help our guests have a good time, but mostly to play the songs we wanted and create a memorable night. We especially appreciated his style of DJing: he was never intrusive, he helped things move along, he followed the flow of the reception in choosing songs, did his best to play nearly everything we wanted, and never did anything we didn’t ask him to do. He readily agreed to one of our main requests, which was to play full songs and not cut quickly between pieces of them as we’d experienced at other weddings. When my husband mentioned his affinity for video game music, Chris offered that he had a playlist of lofi (softer and quieter) versions of game songs and noted they made good background music as guests are eating and socializing. He happily customized it to include selections from some of my husband’s favorite games, and played that for part of the meal and then moved to his traditional love song playlist as we transitioned towards the dancing part of the evening. Throughout our planning and the wedding itself, we appreciated Chris being approachable, friendly, and even-keeled when there were unexpected changes. He even facilitated a fun moment when friends decided to dance to Bohemian Rhapsody towards the end of the evening. We enthusiastically recommend the Dapper DJs!

Great wedding dj!

Excellent DJ

We had John as our DJ for our Wedding. He was professional, easy to work with, extremely helpful during the event, and played a great selection of music. Dance floor kept going

Best Wedding DJ Ever!

We had multiple guests comments that Najee was the best wedding DJ they'd ever experienced and we couldn't agree more! The dance floor was full the entire night and the mix of our requests and other party favorites was perfect. We wish we had been able to dance and enjoy the party for longer! The Perfect Mix

DJ Christomatic was the best! We had multiple meetings prior to our wedding day to discuss the overall vibe we were going for on our day. Brent is the man!

Brent and his crew did an amazing job dj'ing our wedding! The dance floor was hopping all night long and we even got an extra encore song after everyone yelled, "one more song!" at the end of the night. Brent was so helpful meeting with us multiple times before the event to understand what kind of music we liked, the "vibe" we were going for, and just easing our minds that the whole procession, ceremony and party would go as planned. Dapper DJs Rock!

Cannot recommend Brent and the Dapper DJs enough. From the beginning, Brent was very responsive and really helped us put together an awesome playlist, which everyone at the wedding absolutely enjoyed. Alex create crisp, clear sound for our ceremony and speeches, jamming dance music, and kept the party going all night!
We booked The Dapper DJs through our venue, Ceresville Mansion, in Frederick MD. Alex contacted us right away to congratulate us and get the planning started. He's both fun and a professional - he had all the audio equipment we could want: wireless lavs, standing and handheld mics, uplighting, and he moved locations to suit our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Alex worked seamlessly with TLIC, our videographer and streaming video vendor, and our live entertainment.

Fantastic DJs and Organized Company

We had an awesome experience working with Alex and Limin for our wedding. Alex was responsive and helpful with any questions we had. We really appreciated the portal for the songs which made providing an idea of what sort of music we were looking for easy to communicate. During our wedding, Limin was an excellent dj. We felt like he really understood going into the wedding the music and vibe we wanted and then was responsive in real time - continuing to play music in a similar vein when a song was particularly popular on the dance floor and smoothly transitioning between songs. Best DJ Decision

Alex was one of our favorite vendors we worked with. He set up multiple meetings with us over the course of our wedding planning to get to know us and check in with us ahead of the big day. At our wedding, he did a fantastic job and we got so many compliments on the music. We had almost everyone dancing which was one of our top priorities for our wedding. Highly recommend Dapper DJs! We worked with DJ Limin, who connected with us pre-event to get a sense not only of the style of music, but to outline what we wanted for key dances / entrances. Dream Reception!

Our wedding on a Saturday in September was just the perfect party we had dreamt of because of Alex and Dapper DJs! From the beginning, we had a great connection with Alex and knew he totally understood our vision for the wedding. He was so easy to work with leading up to the big day, helping us walk through the plan for the ceremony and reception, and listening to our goals for the party. And he and his team totally nailed it! We were so pumped up by the songs he played and amazed by way he read the vibes of the room - we truly did not get off the dance floor and didn't want the night to end! Our guests had so much fun and we are so thankful for the atmosphere Alex helped us to create. We are still talking about the end of the party and how Alex picked just the perfect last song to end the night on a super-high note. AMAZING!

Dapper DJs Don't Disappoint!

Jeff and the crew from The Dapper DJs did an amazing job in ensuring everyone had a great time at our wedding! Jeff did a great job MC'ing the evening, charming the audience with announcements but never stealing the spotlight. The music was bumping all night and his DJ skills helped us dance all night long. Jeff was also WONDERFUL to work with throughout the process. He took our ideas and ran with them. We couldn't recommend them more!

Unique and fun DJ!

Dapper DJs was an awesome selection for our wedding DJ! Chris was our DJ and he was fabulous. He used our music list well, supplementing with excellent on-theme/genre suggestions for each part of the event. He was an engaging MC and went above an beyond to support us in our after-party bowling event. Could not recommend enough!

You definitely want The Dapper Djs as your wedding

From ideation to execution, working with Alex was amazing. We hit it off from the very beginning, and he knew exactly what vibe we were going for. He was proactive with check-ins, and made a perfect blend of music to keep the party going all night long. Alex is a fantastic DJ, and their whole set up and look is perfectly dapper. You definitely want to add on the gramophones, too.

Chris was amazing!

From the initial consultation to our big day we were delighted with the flexibility, planning, and vintage feel the Dapper DJs provided. Chris played all our favorite songs and custom playlists and went above and beyond. He showed the kiddos the inner workings of the gramophones and we couldn't be happier!

Great DJ!!!

Limin was amazing. Our guests could not stop talking about how great the party was. I expected a good time from Limin based on our phone calls, but he exceeded expectations. No one wanted to leave the dance floor. I would recommend for anyone who wants to have a great party!

Knew how to read the room!

Alex was SO great to work with! He knew exactly how to get the party started and keep it going. My husband and I were literally on the dance floor from the moment the reception started until it ended, and our guests followed suit. Most fun wedding dance floor I've ever been a part of! Also, for ceremony music, he listened to exactly where we wanted songs to start and finish and he did a wonderful job making it all go smoothly! I hope I get to attend another wedding in the future where he is the DJ!

Amazing experience from start to finish!

The Dapper DJs, and Brent in particular, we're so fun to work during our wedding planning process, especially during these unprecedented times. When we needed to push our date they were extremely flexible and understanding. When the big day finally came, Brent read the dance floor so well and kept the party going all night long. You could tell that him and his assistant were really enjoying themselves, which made the night even more fun! He even sent over tons of photos and videos that they took that night, which was totally unexpected but very much appreciated!

Absolutely wonderful!!!

It is not an exaggeration to say that Jeff totally made our wedding. He was wonderful to work with, asked great questions to make sure he understood the vibe we wanted and we both felt really comfortable that Jeff got us as a couple and what we were looking for in a DJ. What really made Jeff so wonderful was how he went above and beyond for us week of. We had planned to have an outdoor ceremony - weren't sure where Covid would be by the time we got married and we wanted people to be comfortable - but the week before our wedding the weather was all over the place - some days it looked like it'd be 60 and sunny, others it was predicted to be 55, cloudy with high wind. We had booked a string trio to play for the ceremony and cocktail hour but with the weather changing daily, we decided to have a plan b which would be Jeff playing for the ceremony. When we chatted with him about this he was wonderful - he was fully onboard, asked all the right questions, and we felt great going into our wedding weekend knowing that no matter what happened, Jeff had us covered. He was wonderful during the ceremony, during dinner, and the reception music was awesome - all of our guests told us how wonderful he was and how he knew exactly what to play. Seriously, book these guys. It'll be the best decision you'll make for your wedding and you'll never have to worry about them. They're dependable, flexible, so wonderful to work with, and you'll hands down have the best music for your wedding.

Awesome DJs

We found Dapper DJs through our venue, Ceresville Mansion, because they are part of the vendor package. We knew right away they felt like our kind of people. We had a meeting with Alex (the owner) in advance and he was so kind in answering all our questions. They even did the ceremony music, which was technically not included in the time they were hired for. When I realized that we actually needed them for 6 hours, not 5, and I reached out two weeks before the wedding - they said it wasn't a problem and not to worry.
We ended up with Chris as our DJ for our wedding. In the craze that is the weeks before the wedding, we realized we'd never set up a time to talk with him. Even though he had emailed us to ask about it. He'd given his number in the email so I texted and asked if he had any availability to talk that day and he made it work. We were able to talk through all the things we wanted and give him our general vibe for the reception.
He did a great job and tried to be responsive to us and our guests. I'm not much of a dancer, but my husband is so we did some swing for our first dance and I was a bit out of breath. Chris noticed and made the switch to have my husband do his dance with his mom so I could rest a couple of minutes before dancing with my dad. We wanted to do our last dance on the pergola outside, but of course, I forgot to tell Chris until the middle of the reception. He was super flexible and made it work. I think part of that is Ceresville's built-in sound system makes it relatively easy to have sound outside, but it was still a change and he took it in stride. I felt the whole time like he really wanted us and our guests to have a great evening, not just to play some songs and get paid.

Party All Night

I attended a wedding a month ago and was blown away by Dapper DJs...specifically DJ Chris (Christomatic). I noticed him immediately as the guests were taking their seats for the ceremony. The music was playing and he was attentive and very professional. Once the reception began, DJ Chris kept the party going all night. The dance floor was always full because he could read the crowd and knew just what music to play. I would highly recommend DJ Chris and Dapper DJs for your next event!

Stop shopping around--you've found the DJ you NEED!

DJ Chris from The Dapper DJ's helped make our wedding even better than we could have dreamed--some guests are even calling it "the wedding of the century!" Chris was adept at noticing on the fly what was getting the crowd going and adjusting accordingly to keep the party going all night long (and believe me, we could have!) 10/10 recommend. In fact, throw a party just so you can hire The Dapper DJ's.

We danced all night!

Dapper DJs is the best around! They worked a wedding we attended, and we knew that we had to have Dapper DJs for our big day! They were one of the first vendors we booked because we knew how amazing they already were! We had the pleasure of working with Jeff Sears who was an absolute treasure! Jeff was so accommodating and so friendly. He was always there for a phone call or a late night text when we had any questions and was always quick to respond. Jeff made our day so special and did a fantastic job! Multiple people told us that we got our money’s worth out of our Dj because the dance floor was always packed! Everyone had a wonderful time, and Jeff kept the night running smoothly! If you want a great party definitely book Dapper DJs and ask for Jeff! You will not be disappointed!

Sam & najee - incredible duo

We were blessed to work with Sam at our August 21st wedding ceremony at Whitetail Ski resort in PA. Sam made us feel so comfortable from our very first meeting; he truly got us as a couple. Leading up to the wedding he met with us multiple times to ensure we had all the details nailed down, names, song choices, etc, and then the day of he brought everyone young and old out onto the dancefloor. Our ceremony went perfectly & he snuck in songs that were unexpected to others, but absolutely perfect for what my husband and I wanted. I had a specific song I had only seen on Apple music & Sam went out of his way to find it for us so I could walk down the aisle to one of my all time favorite songs. As for the reception, we got SO many compliments from staff and guests alike. They said they had never seen a DJ vibe with the crowd the way Sam did. He knew exactly how to get everyone involved, and I don't think I left the floor all night. Najee was also a major hit with our guests and was totally the life of the party on the dance floor. We are so grateful to have worked with the Dapper DJs and cannot thank Sam enough for making our wedding an absolute blast from start to finish.

Throughout COVID he was a pleasure to work with and easily rescheduled us for 2021. Kept the party fun!

Our wedding was the first event that a lot of our guests went to post-COVID (post-vaccination) and they were not only talking and catching up, but ready to party again! Limin was fantastic in understanding the vibe of the group, understanding what type of music we wanted and didn't want (thanks to the thorough online forms), and what requests should go in what order. It was about 5 hours of the most fun evening we've had! We also had to reschedule our wedding multiple times #coronabride and they were very flexible and understanding about this. Perfect Songs, Perfect Timing, Perfect Everything!

We debated a lot about what we wanted the music to be like at our wedding, and let me just say that working with Alex did NOT disappoint! From the first conversation, we felt like he wanted to get to know us and our music styles on a personal level, which made it so much easier to feel comfortable conveying what we were looking for. Leading up to the wedding, things naturally got a little hectic, and Alex went with the flow, reaching out to us directly to get the information he needed, and then didn't miss a single beat on the night of! He timed everything perfectly, sounded so professional, and obviously, rocked the music list. I was so impressed with his ability to thread between our requests and new songs that kept the dance floor thriving, while also staying true to the oldies and classics styles we said we loved. Multiple guests throughout the night commented on his awesome set up and how amazing his music selections were. None of us could sit down, he was just playing hit after hit. Not to mention, we love his vinyl. :) Alex is the nicest guy, and an extremely talented and professional DJ. Hire him! You will NOT regret it!

I would have another party just to hire them again

The DJ was probably the most important wedding decision we made, since my family and I are picky about music, and my husband and I have VERY different families. We needed a DJ who could cater to a diverse crowd, but also play all the old hits my family and I love (we are vinyl lovers). Alex was so easy to work with and after meeting I knew I wouldn’t even need to really so much, we trusted him and wow was it amazing. I would say at least 15 wedding guests told us the DJ was amazing, loved the gramophones, told us ‘whatever you are paying them isn’t enough’, or asked for their info. I cannot say enough good things!!

The most dapper dj

I can't say enough good things about the Dapper DJs and especially their fearless leader, Alex! I knew going into the wedding that he had everything under control and he seamlessly transitioned from a very quaint Victrola to play during the ceremony to an awesome, pumped up dance floor at the reception, as well as MCing the reception! And I was not the best, most communicative bride, either, so serious props to him for taking my haphazard and somewhat anxious ramblings and turning them into something great!

The Bee’s Knees

The Dapper DJs are the most unique DJs you will ever find. Alex and his crew will have your guests talking about your wedding for weeks.

We asked Alex to progress through the decades as the night went on. He started us in the 1920s and 1930s for cocktail hour, moved into the 1940s and 1950s for dinner, and rocked some 1960s to 2020 for the dancing. He set a party atmosphere and kept people dancing, grooving, and enjoying themselves the whole night. Music flowed seamlessly and I was sad to see the night end.

I highly recommend adding the horned gramophones to your cocktail hour. That unique vintage touch stands out from any other DJ experience.

Alex also handled our ceremony music, which was perfect. We discussed it at length in several calls leading up to the day, down to the exact recording I wanted to use. It was flawlessly executed. But the part I’m most grateful for was how he handled our request to livestream the ceremony to those who couldn’t be there due to COVID. Alex set up his laptop at the back of the church and mic’d the ceremony audio directly through his soundboard. This meant every guest could hear the words being said as if they were less than six feet away. Hundreds of our friends and family got to witness our starting our marriage from a safe distance.

If you want a DJ who will ensure every guest has a time they’ll never forget, book the Dapper DJs!

Amazing DJ! Guests Loved It!

The guests at my wedding could not stop raving about how great the dj was. Alex played not only our special request songs, but also other great dancing hits that he knew would get people on the dance floor. He also was super organized with our first dance and father daughter dance mp3s (which were special mashups and shortened songs). He was also fabulous at announcements and timing of the schedule to ensure the night went smoothly. He helped with mics for toasts and speeches, announcements about cake cutting or reminders to wear masks (Covid), and much more. Not to mention the awesome cool retro dj setup! If I could give 10 stars I would! Highly recommend!

Dapper Fun

Our DJ from the team was Sam--he was cool as a cucumber during the hectic day of moments and super friendly and nice to work before the wedding. He was ready for any and all questions and offered suggestions for songs if we felt stuck. The guests loved his dapper look day of and he did a great job overall! Vintage Up Front, Party in the Back

We loved having Sam for our B&O Railroad Museum wedding. We enjoyed working with him before the wedding and thought he executed our wedding vision perfectly. The perfect vibe!

Alex was a dream to work with and the ceremony performer was breathtaking! As the bride, you don't hear a lot of the ceremony music, but while we were setting up to come in I did hear some of it and it was amazing! Our musician was Chris Urquiaga and his singing and playing were just beautiful. Alex was our DJ and really kept the fun going all night. I did choose a fair amount of songs, but I wanted to give him leeway to work with the crowd and I really think he did a fantastic job with that. He was very strict about requests which I sincerely appreciate!

Wonderful experience with Jeff!

We used Dapper Dj's for our wedding on 12/7/19. Our assigned DJ was Jeff Sears, and we were so happy to have been paired with him! We had one meeting with him about a month before the wedding to go over details.
I was nervous about the music as I had been to one too many weddings where the DJ/ music is overbearing/ boring. Meeting Jeff was great! He has a wonderful personality and is so easy to talk to. He totally understood our vibe and respected our wishes for the dinner music to be on the quieter side so then people could hear each other talk. He put all my worries at ease and was confident that our ceremony music timing would go off without a hitch. Meeting him was like meeting a new friend!
On the day of our wedding everything was perfect and the dance floor was kept full throughout the night. We requested 90s music and he was able to incorporate it throughout the dancing. His emceeing was perfect, not too much, not too little!
We can not recommend Jeff and the Dapper DJs enough. They were a wonderful addition to our wedding!

Best DJs ever!!!

Y’all. These guys are the best!! We were originally booked with two different DJs with Dapper but a medical emergency happened and Alex switched us to Sam. Sam was so responsive in all of our emails, phone calls, and in person meetings, very helpful with music selections, and helped make our day run super smoothly by helping keep us on track from the ceremony all the way through the end of the night. I love this guys and would book them again in a heartbeat!

Very Flexible and Easy to work with

Alex was our DJ at our wedding and I was shocked with how extremely helpful he was. Their music portal was very easy to use and even gives suggestions on popular songs. During our wedding the dance floor was always full, which I have never witnessed at a wedding. Alex is the reason our wedding ran so smoothly! If you want a DJ company that will give you a great party but still keep it classy, this company is for you!

GREAT DJ for party people

LOVED having Jeff from Dapper DJs at our wedding! He was able to find the perfect music to have people dancing on the dance floor all night long. We are from out of town so we talked several times on the phone before the wedding in order for Jeff to get our perfect wedding vibe- and he nailed it! Jeff was so professional, friendly and had a great personality. Would recommend to anyone who loves to have a great time and dance all night.

Dynamite DJ!

Are you looking for a DJ who will keep your guests out of their seats the whole time? Look no further! Alex was amazing from booking through the wedding day. His flexibility was astounding to my husband and I who moved 4 hours away from Frederick and are both in education, so we cannot take calls until late afternoons. Alex was available to chat whenever we needed, gave advice when we were confused, and truly heard us and our want for everyone to have a good time! The day of he showed up in amazing attire, something our guests are still raving about, and checked in on my husband and I before introductions to see how were doing. His attention to detail did not go unnoticed. I cannot thank him enough for being a part of our day and allowing us to have a party we will never forget!

Awesome DJ/Band Hybrid!

We were stoked to do the "Two DJs and a Microphone" package with Gramophones! What an incredibly cool duo! The guests were absolutely shocked when Will and Jeff started playing instruments with the music! There were people on the dance floor all night! You won't regret hiring these guys!

Outstanding and FUN!

Dapper DJs was wonderful to work with from the start. Talking initially with Alex, working with the office folks and, for the event, having Will DJ our wedding - everything was professional, easy and friendly! I LOVED the unique gramophone and decade music for the cocktail hour! Will went out of his way to ensure the bride had the music she wanted - EVEN WHEN we made a change at the last possible second (like literally minutes before the father/daughter dance)! Will also worked so well with our wedding coordinator to help keep us all on track. I can't recommend Dapper enough! Fun, easy, professional!!!

True musical gems

Alex is a one-of-kind DJ. He is patient, kind, and has exemplary taste in music. He was on board with us shaking up the wedding scene and was in tune (no pun intended) with us throughout the entire process from planning to our wedding. The Perfect DJ!

Sam's understated and professional style was just what our daughters wanted for their wedding. The girls enjoyed working with Sam, and even though it was planned long distance, they Skyped to work out the details. Sam's timing and sound system were perfect, and he was flexible and accommodating. The dance floor was shaking until the very end of the reception. Sam, you made the reception run smoothly. We lucked out hiring you!

Sam Keeps The Party Going

Sam was our DJ and he was FANTASTIC!

We had two calls with him leading up to the wedding to discuss music and song options. He even gave us the idea to have my husband walk down the isle to his own song! We Rick Rolled everyone and it was hilarious!

Sam made the whole thing super easy. We told him what kind of music we liked and he knew exactly what to play. People were dancing until the end of the night thanks to him!

So much fun

DJ Stephen arrived with two vintage gramophones and played old jazz records during our cocktail hour. Our guests loved everything about it! Dapper DJs owner Alex was a pleasure to work with - easy to be in touch with and very responsive. Thanks for a memorable evening!

Fun with style!

We had a brunch wedding and the Dapper DJs totally came through with style! Alex was our DJ and was really responsive especially with our planner. It was perfect! Can't say enough about the group and how awesome they are! Would hire them again in a heartbeat!

Dapper to Perfection!

We live in Michigan, but hosted our daughter's wedding in DC. We feel so fortunate to be assigned Will Cole of the Dapper DJs at our daughter's June wedding. There are only positive comments to report about him, and we assume all the Dapper DJs would be the same. He is the kind of guy who has the "bride's back" from beginning to end. He also has the "parents' back" and handled our confidential concerns with respect and politeness--even "awkward" moments. Everything that was promised was executed--from the dapper outfit he wore to the wedding, to the equipment he brought, and to the playlist he promised he would adhere to. Dapper DJ's are pure delight!.

The Dapper DJS has a stellar reputation in our community. We chose the Bees Knees and met with DJ Jeff. Jeff was OUTSTANDING in his ability to give feedback to the flow of the wedding and on point music selections for each transition of our wedding. He was organized, on time and responsive to questions via text/email. The icing on the cake was the upbeat energy he brought to the guests and venue. We were thrilled with the Dappers DJS and Jeff.

The best!

The Dapper DJs is an awesome company. From beginning of our introduction to the end of the night, we were so happy with the Dapper DJs. We first spoke to Alex, and then we found out he couldn’t commit to our day. Of course when you connect with someone, you want to go with that person. Then we got connected to Jeff. And honestly, it worked out even better we could have imagined. Not only was his background similar to ours, he was the perfect person to handle our needs.

He wanted to meet with us, he loved our theme of having cowboy boots and a little country, and was so positive towards our wedding ceremony. We wanted to have some Christian music played during the ceremony and have our music lead from our church sing a few songs. Given the fact that we had both a videographer, and musician, and the DJ all needing to hook up to a speaker, he was able to handle our request and make it all work perfect. The cocktail was a hit with the gramophone and bringing everyone back to a time in America classics.

He played the songs we needed and the dance floor was thumbing the whole night. We had a very diverse crowed, both in age and race, and everyone was having a great time. Some of our families we never seen dance before and they were on the dance floor.

Lastly, when our wedding planner dropped the ball, he quickly came in to the rescue and made our night perfect. Honestly, if we didn’t have DJ Jeff I think it would have been totally different. These guys are professional and while we think DJ Jeff was perfect for us, we also know that anyone would have done a great job.

Awesome old school vibe with a fresh feel

As a couple, my fiance and I love the old school tunes mixed in with modern dance songs. We had DJ Sam and he was so perfect at accommodating our space which was split up between 3 distinct areas - outdoor ceremony, cocktail hour outdoors and indoor reception. We were so excited with the old gramophones which were a huge hit with the guests and matched the vintage vibe of the wedding. The dance floor was packed all night and people loved the mix of old and new. I was most impressed by how seamlessly Sam hit all the marks. Every special song we requested for walking down the aisle or entering the reception venue to our first dances was perfectly timed and sound quality spot out. Absolutely loved working with Sam and this group!

My man, Jeff!

Look no further as Jeff is your man.

Jeff uses the face to face meet to really understand who the couple is and what type of environment they want in their wedding (he's also from Texas, so the southern charm is included).

Jeff did an amazing job in orchestrating (see what I did there) our playlist vision into a dancing reality. At one point in the evening I took a moment to soak it all in... and noticed that the entire party was on the dance floor.

I provided Jeff with an inspiration/theme playlist, so he had something to reference, but told him to do his thing from there. I highly recommend utilizing Jeff's musical creativity as you won't be disappointed.

All in all, Jeff is a great human. He loves what he does which shows and was genuinely excited to be part of our day. We even took a selfie with Jeff (his idea) which to me says it all.

You'll only need one conversation with Jeff to feel completely confident that he's your guy

Excellent service and a pleasure to work with!

Alex was such a pleasure to work with! He was extremely accommodating and flexible, as well as consistently responsive during the planning process. On the wedding day, he did a great job keeping the reception moving along. Most impressively, our dance floor was packed the entire night! Our guests are still raving about what a blast the reception was, and a lot of that we can attribute to Alex! I would highly recommend him for someone who is professional, experienced, and brings the party!

Dapper DJs is incredible! I had never heard of Dapper DJs until I was at a wedding expo and heard them playing. I knew instantly that I had to have them for my wedding! I booked Alex and he seriously rocked the house. He sent me a wedding site that was nice and easy to put my music requests and other information he needed for the big day. He seriously kept the party going and orchestrated the entire night for us! Everything went so well and we cant thank Alex and Dapper DJs enough for helping us to create a romantic ceremony along with a rocking reception!

Could not be happier!

I knew I wanted to hire Alex and The Dapper DJs for our wedding after just seeing their photos. Their vintage aesthetic was so spot on for our wedding vision. Alex was so accommodating, friendly, responsive, and organized, and was a dream to work with for this stressed out Bride. Their client portal kept everything organized for us, and the ability to create playlists according to Must Play or Do Not Play was fantastic. It allowed us to customize our party and everything turned out amazing. Our guests had the best time since we tailored the music to what they wanted to hear. We could not be happier with the service Alex and The Dapper DJs provided. 10/10 would definitely recommend.

Best DJs Ever!

Alex and his crew did the best job with the music at our wedding! I'm an avid audiophile, and Alex listened to all of my thoughts and opinions about the type of music I wanted played throughout the wedding, and he took my ideas, and did exactly what I wanted except even better. All of my guests agreed it was the best wedding playlist they'd ever heard! So easy to work with, would recommend to anyone!

Amazing!!!

Wow! The Dapper DJ's were awesome! Alex, really listened to our requests, concerns, and musical choices. We felt like he listened to us. Every bit of the wedding went off without a hitch. He made the guests feel super comfortable- was charming, direct, and genuine. He got the party and started and kept it going! The Dapper DJs

My wife and I used Jack from the Dapper DJs for our wedding last weekend and he was awesome. He was very friendly from start to finish and went out of his way to make sure our day was perfect. He set up a mic system for the ceremony and made sure that the reception music was responsive to the movement of the crowds. We couldn't have asked for more.

I cannot overstate this enough: Alex at Dapper DJ's MADE our wedding. He. Is. Magic.

In the months beforehand, he was proactive with lots of questionnaires, organized, and extremely professional on the phone and via email. We met for drinks a week before the wedding to review the schedule and all requests so he could hit the ground running day-of and we could focus on other things, which was such a relief. He managed it all, curating an excellent mix of music based on all our discussions, suggestions, and requests that ended up being a major hit with our guests.

We wanted to dance all night long and Alex worked very, very hard to make that happen. Our guests were more interested in the food and open bar and chatting at first so he put in a lot of active effort to coax them onto the dance floor and keep them out there--he wasn't afraid to cut a song short that wasn't having the desired effect on the crowd. It was a PARTY thanks to Alex. I cannot say enough nice things about him--and neither could our guests. Dozens still bring up unprompted about how he is the best wedding DJ they've ever experienced. My husband and I totally agree!!

If you want a top-quality, dedicated, professional, knowledgable DJ, definitely call Alex!!

Style & the Snazzy Soundtrack for our Special Day

Alex was the first vendor we booked a year before our actual wedding. We saw him DJ at a friend’s wedding and totally fell in love with The Dapper DJs whole vibe and gorgeous restored victrolas. We knew it would be the perfect fit for our vintagey wedding at the Belvedere in Baltimore. Alex was so fun to work with through the year and so generous with his time. We met with him quite a bit just to stay connected and update him on our plans as they changed. We totally trusted him to help build our playlist and Alex helped us choose really nice processional music for the ceremony. The reception music was easily the best dance party I have ever been too - it started slow and jazzy, built up with some Motown and by the end of the night people were jamming to top 40s. Alex put together the perfect playlist. Every single person we talked to - young and old - said the music throughout the day was amazing. I would recommend Alex and The Dapper DJs again and again!

Had us dancing all night long!

Our Dapper DJ (John S.) was great to work with--he is a true professional who takes his craft seriously. Since we live on the West Coast but our wedding was in D.C., he made sure to proactively coordinate with us. We sent him our song list through their easy-to-use website, and he turned it into the perfect mix! Cocktail hour and dinner music was smooth, and once the dancing started he brought every guest onto the dance floor. One great hit after another!

(Also great with kids, they loved the antique gramophones!)
