RUN don’t walk to the Curvy Bride!

I don’t even know where to begin on reviewing this FABULOUS establishment. From the moment I stepped inside, I felt right at home. My consultant Barbara met with me privately from my guests to get my input on what I was looking for. Barbara immediately got to work and began pulling things that fit my look. Being a plus size bride was something that had me very anxious and down. I was anticipating being let down, and was prepared for myself leaving that day without finding a winner. Barbara listened to me as I tried on each dress, ruling out immediately other contenders based on my wants/needs. Then I finally put on “the one” and we all knew immediately this was my dress! Michelle then popped in once the good news spread and she made herself present in more ways than one: giving me such uplifting compliments, to advising us sizing expertise and alteration suggestions. This place and their employees immediately rallied around me as a family would- making me feel nothing less than beautiful. After purchasing my dress I immediately was given a timeline and text notifications were how I would hear news. Just as they anticipated, my dress came in when expected and I was due to come in again. The service continued to be over the top and every fitting was flawless. Don’t walk, but RUN to the curvy bride. Michelle and her team are absolutely wonderful to be in the presence of. I received so many compliments of how beautiful I looked, and how perfect my dress fit me! I cannot thank the Curvy Bride enough for making me feel beautiful and confident on my biggest day!

Perfect for my Plus Sized Girls

As someone who was very stressed about shopping for my dress, The Curvy Bride made it so easy. They only carry Plus Sizes so it was nice to know I could actually see what a dress would look like on my not so small body. I was shopping off the rank so I was only given options in my size but there were plenty of options and I tried on as many as I wanted (ended up choosing the very first one). They were so excited and involved in the process and when I did my alterations with them, I really felt like they listened to me and wanted me to look my best. For any of my fellow plus-sized girlies, this is the place!

Highly Recommend!

I bought my wedding dress at the Curvy Bride, and I could not be happier with their services! As a plus size woman, shopping is not always the most exciting experience for me. However, the Curvy Bride provided a comfortable environment for me to try on wedding dresses. They only have a couple of brides in the shop at a time, so the employees are very attentive, and all had such an encouraging attitude. They had a beautiful selection of dresses, and I picked out my dress on my first visit! I was so happy with my shopping experience that I utilized their alternations services as well. I highly recommend shopping at the Curvy Bride for your wedding dress!

The absolute BEST!

Finding my wedding dress at The Curvy Bride was an absolute dream! From start to finish, the experience was seamless, fun, and truly special. When I first walked into the store, I was so nervous about whether any wedding dress would look good on my curvy body, but Michelle, Pervin, and the entire staff immediately put me at ease. They made me feel so comfortable and confident, and with their guidance, I found the perfect dress that made me feel like a princess. The compliments on my dress were endless, and I couldn’t have been happier with my choice.

The Absolute BEST!

Where do I even begin... Everyone from The Curvy Bride is amazing! My whole experience was so wonderful from start to finish. I’m not super comfortable trying on clothes in general especially being plus size and having a large chest – The Curvy Bride made me feel so much better and confident. From the moment I walked in, I got an awesome, positive vibe from everyone there. Crazy as it may sound, the wedding dress was the last thing I got for my wedding and I was very last minute with it, mostly because I was nervous to try dresses on. I came with a booklet of different types of dresses, and they ran with it, pulling every type of dress I had in there. I only tried on 6 dresses, fell in love with the 2nd one I tried on but felt like I had to at least try the others she pulled – for everyone including myself to be absolutely sure. Once I had that one on again, I knew it was the one, they knew it was the one, my mom knew it was the one & I was on cloud 9! It was off the rack and they gave a very doable timeline for fittings and everything before my wedding which I truly appreciated being so last minute. The seamstress was a miracle worker and sweet to boot. My last fitting was bittersweet, I was so happy with everything and the whole experience but also sad I wouldn’t be seeing these lovely ladies again. I gave them a treat tray and hugs! I recommend them to everyone, big or small, because they are just the absolute best! Love my Essence of Australia dress, love The Curvy Bride!

Excellent Experience !

I found my wedding dress at the Curvy Bride and was really happy with the staff who assisted me. When I arrived for my appointment they only showed me dresses that were in my price range and helped me pull different styles because I was unsure of the type of dress I was looking for. I ended up finding my actual size with a sample dress and was able to walk out that next day when I came back for the dress to purchase it. I felt no pressure to buy the dress and the staff were extremely friendly and professional. Being a plus size bride I was having insecurities during the wedding dress shopping process, but at the Curvy Bride I really appreciated everyone being so encouraging and supportive!

The absolute BEST!

I didn't even know plus size bridal shops existed until I was told by a friend to check out The Curvy Bride. I went to 3 other bridal salons before coming here and none of those experiences even came close to how I was treated during my appointment with MaryAnn. She was so friendly, listened to what I want, didn't force me to "just try it!" when I didn't want to, but was also able to suggest some styles for me that I hadn't thought of before. She was never, ever, pushy and I never felt rushed into making a decision. I purchased a gown that I knew I liked (I had tried it on at one of the previous appointments at another shop), and MaryAnn saved it for last because I had indicated that it was my favorite. When my mom cried I knew that it was perfect. I bought my dress during a trunk show and got 15% off the total cost, which is due in full at the time of purchase. From there, all communication and appointments were set up with ease. I also did alterations with their seamstress, Lydia, who was fantastic. Truly I loved my experience with everyone there and I can't recommend them enough. If you don't fit into the typical body type and want to feel confident, take the trip to see the lovely stylists at The Curvy Bride! My drive was over an hour one way and it was worth every minute. Personal, body positive, professional experience

There are so many positive things I have to say about The Curvy Bride. 10/10 for sure!
It starts with the ease of the website for booking appointments. I called to ask a question and the owner, Michelle, called me back on a day that the salon isn't even open. I also had to call the day of my second appointment and Pervin answered "Hey Nicole!" immediately as if I was calling a friend. So personal, great customer service.

We worked with Maria, Pervin, and Michelle between our two appointments. All three of them are lovely and every single second from when we walked in the door until leaving the building we felt and were treated like beautiful women. They are so body positive and had not one negative thing to say about any of the dresses my fiance and I tried on.
We were looking for two dresses and arrived a little early for the appointment. I called to see if we could come in a half hour early and we were welcomed right in. The appointment lasted two and a half hours (way longer than the scheduled time) and I did not feel rushed at all. Michelle kept picking out dresses for me to try on because I was so undecided on what I truly wanted. There were sleeves I loved from one dress and wanted to add them to another, and Pervin called the dress maker and they were able to sell the sleeves separately if I wanted them! Above and beyond all expectations.

Their dress selection is amazing and the dresses are all in sizes that you can't find at most bridal shops. I had previously gone to another bridal salon and had a terrible experience because all of the dresses were too small. Not at The Curvy Bride! Even if a dress wasn't our size, Michelle used her clips and tucked everything in to make it feel like and look like it fit.
On top of all of that, you have the entire salon to yourself during your appointment, so you have the full attention of the staff and a personalized experience that is so hard to find! No trying on dresses next to a size 0 or not having enough seats for your entourage. Plenty of space and seating for everyone to enjoy the experience with you!

A friend we brought with us is a type 1 diabetic. Her sugar was getting low and Michelle offered her a snack to help get her sugar back up. We truly felt that even though we walked in as strangers, we left as friends!

I HIGHLY recommend checking out The Curvy Bride. I can't say enough good things about our experience. It's so hard to find clothing as a plus size person and not many stores do it right. The Curvy Bride does it right!

Excellence , A wonderful time

The Curvy Bride was the first location I wanted to go try dresses on the moment stores begin to open after our first Covid scare

My mother, my best friend and I headed to the store . My mom suggested we go to another location first because it was bigger and I might have more options . We went, this with retailer was a one stop shop for all things wedding, you could buy dresses shoes accessories even tuxedos . It was three levels of fun in this building I felt like a kid in a candy store .

it was an excellent experience as you would expect from a well-known vendor however their pricing was crazy and the sales person failed to even listen to what I wanted, she was so focused on the sale. I gave her a set budget as well as the type of dress I was looking for . She hardly listened to me . I was very close to purchasing a gown that I somewhat liked and was at the very top of my budget when I thought for a moment let me go to the Curvy Bride first before I make my final decision. I am so glad that I waited!!

The Curvy Bride is a very intimate and beautiful boutique where you get one on one attention . Considering the store had just opened again after being shut down for COVID restrictions , they offered a substantial discount if I bought a dress that day off the rack

I always thought that I would be a woman to have a ball gown as my dress but I found the perfect dress that was not like I expected to fall in love with. My fiancé had given me $1500 to purchase my dress that day. Once I said yes to the dress my mom surprised saying she would pay for the dress for me !! the biggest surprise is that my gown was heavily discounted as promised!!

I spent under $500 for my dress !!

I didn’t have my wedding until two years later . I was about 10 dress sizes smaller but I still looked beautiful

I will never forget my experience at this boutique I suggest all Curvy brides go experience what I did that day

Exceptional

When I knew I wanted to start searching for my wedding gown, I instantly started stressing about what options I was going to have as a plus size woman. Were my options going to be severely limited since most stores don't carry a wide selection of plus size samples? Was I going to be limited to a single style gown?
I found The Curvy Bride through WeddingWire and how happy am I that I stumbled upon them. I made the over 1 hour trip to and back from them countless times (finding my gown, picking it up, ordering my veil, 2 fittings and then final pick up) and I'd do it all over again if I had to. The owner was so nice, friendly and flexible. The girls out front were always happy and personable. Their seamstress, Lydia, is a complete miracle worker. After I ordered my gown I ended up loosing some weight, not a ton, but definitely enough to make a difference in my gown.. and she took it in all over the place and hid the seams flawlessly.

The perfect dress for the perfect day!

Being short and curvy I hated trying on gowns which none seemed to compliment my body. With apprehension I decided to visit Curvy Bride. My appointment was scheduled with Maryann. She could tell I was nervous, uncomfortable and experiencing anxiety. Maryann took my hand and said I will help you find the perfect dress. I closed my eyes and explained my wedding plans. I wanted a ball gown and a dress that sparkled since my wedding was a candlelight ceremony. The first dress she showed me it was a winner. Really it was!!!!! Maryann laughed and said no you must try on a few more dresses to be sure. But after 10 dresses it was the first dress Maryann had me try on. It was like Maryann was in my head and knew exactly what I wanted. Not only did she help me find the perfect dress, but the veil sparkled, and it was on sale which made my dad love Maryann as well. A special thank you to Miss Lydia for making sure my perfect dress was the perfect fit for my perfect day!

Amazing experience

Had an awesome experience at The Curvy Bride. As someone who is more mid-sized, I was always nervous trying on dresses. I went to one other store before The Curvy Bride, and was so happy with my experience at The Curvy Bride with their inclusive sizes and wide variety of dresses. Plus they carried Essence of Australia, which was a brand I had followed for years and not too many NJ stores carry it. I fell in love with my gown, and couldn’t have dreamed of a better dress for me. It’s funny because I went in with the mindset I wanted long sleeves A-line, and walked out with a strapless ballgown. But it was just perfect. I did all my alterations through the store as well, and she was amazing as well. Could not recommend any more.

The absolute best bridal shop

I CANNOT RAVE ABOUT THE CURVY BRIDE ENOUGH!! They were the only shop I went to, and I tried on seven dresses before I picked the "one". Maryann is an absolute DOLL. She was my personal helper, and I mean this when I say this, she is the best person to be doing this job. Pervin, Michelle and everyone else there were just so wonderful in helping me build onto my dress when I wanted more, and never made me feel uncomfortable, annoying or anything other than just truly happy. I adore this place and would get married all over again just to have the experience I had with them! 11/10!!!

Make The Curvy Bride your first stop!

The amount of love and enthusiasm I have for The Curvy Bride is unparalleled! I am a curvy bride, and after getting engaged to the most wonderful man in the world I immediately began to dread looking for a dress. Years of seeing smaller brides on shows like say yes to the dress paired with my high anxiety left me nervously anticipating not being able to fit into any dresses in the shops, having to clip one on top of my clothes and not actually knowing what it would look like, and having to go to the dark, back corner to see the five plus size dresses most stores carry.

Needless to say, The Curvy Bride blew me away. When you arrive you are greeted by the sweetest team of women who immediately make you feel beautiful, valued, and like family. As if it could get any better, I could fit ANY DRESS in the store! They carry their samples in plus sizes so any bride can have that magical wedding dress moment! They also can order for dresses who aren't plus size when you fall in love with one of their gorgeous gowns! The spaces where you try on dresses are closed off so you are the only one in the space which makes you feel even more comfortable.

The angel on earth that is Pervin listened to everything I wanted in a dress and helped me find multiple different styles to try on. Even better, there was a sample sale going on at the time and the very first dress I tried on was the dress of my dreams and I took it home that night! The women at this store - staff and customers alike - are like your own team of hypewomen. We would run into other brides in the parking lot and it felt like we were one big family.

I still can't believe how easy and actually enjoyable this process was! I came back multiple times to have my dress fitted after this and we didn't even mind driving one hour each way because these ladies are worth it! Make The Curvy Bride your first and last stop for the wedding dress of your dreams!

The Best Bridal Shop

I found this shop through Google and was very anxious about going because as a plus size person shopping is something that is daunting for me especially since this is THE most important purchase ever. As soon as I walked into the shop my mother and I were greeted with huge smiles and we were treated well from the start. I love the Curvy Bride!

I am so happy that I used the Curvy Bride for my wedding gown. From the second I stepped into the store, they made me feel comfortable. Vip experience & the perfect dress!

Not only did the Curvy Bride treat me like a total VIP for my initial appointment, but I was blown away by their selection, the way they listened to what I wanted, and how they found me my DREAM dress almost immediately! I had to come back for a few fittings and alterations, but their seamstress helped me add a few details to customize the dress to my comfort and style. The end result was a breathtaking, perfectly fitted wedding gown that had my groom and guests in complete awe. They are the BEST bridal salon!!!

The Most Beautiful Dress! Highly Recommend

With two and a half weeks before my wedding I decided to try The Curvy bride as I wasn't happy with a prior online purchase. I came in with a dress in mind to try on, which they pulled, but I welcomed my consultants suggestions. After talking with me she pulled a dress off the rack that fit my body like a glove. Hugged my waist just right. I truly felt like a princess, even with a mask on! I was able to get a fitting appointment the next day, and it all got done in time for my wedding.
My dress was breathtaking. I've never felt more beautiful.

Wonderful dress experience!

I first went to the Curvy Bride after a few other stores in July of 2019. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming! They accommodate my group of 5 people. My mom got lost and the CB team jumped in and helped her when her GPS failed her - I will forever be thankful for their patience!
I tried on probably 10 dresses - and ended up with a dress I fell in love with from Essense of Australia! I loved the little celebration toast at the end of my visit!
The dress came in a few months later - I had my first fitting at the end of January which went super well! The 2nd fitting happened 2nd weekend in March which when businesses first started to close for COVID-19 (before the lockdown) - I had a very enjoyable experience - even with all the newness of keeping distance and sanitizing everything. When I had to postpone my wedding - they were extremely helpful and understanding!
My fiance and I ended up having a small ceremony on August 1st - so I had my last dress fitting mid-July. They had wonderful protocols in place (limiting the number of people in store, calling when arriving, temperature checks, distancing…); I felt very safe, and they made me feel so welcome and comfortable! The dress fit wonderfully! I was so happy with my experience there, and appreciate their kindness and wonderful business practices!

Amazing you need to check this place out

This place was on my must have to check out verse the NYC places that I've gone to a million times..Any plus size bride wants to try on any dress and see what it "really " looks like verse a dress too small that you have to envision that will fit. I'm an older mid 40"s first time bride who has been in a million weddings and I told Michelle to get something different. Well she did and every dress lookes better than the next and the best part is they all fit. What a confidence booster for a plus size bride. She picked a wild card dress that i would have never ever picked and due to her expertise that was the one. During that moment i got upset not about the dress but my parents had passed and I was a daddy's girl and she let me step into the dressing room to take some time to call me brother and get the final stamp of approval from our parents above. This is not just a store with people who work there but a family of staff who are their with their brides threw the tears of happiness and sadness. If you are plus size check them out go with an open mind and let them guide you to your dream dress.

I can’t explain to you the joy this store brought to my heart! I was having so much anxiety due to bad experiences at other shops. Actually, I was convinced I would never find a dress that would make me feel beautiful or fit my budget.
Well here I found BOTH. . Infact I was stuck between 2 dresses because I loved them both so much.
The sales associate P & the owner Michele were such a pleasure to work with. I didn’t feel rushed or like I was being upsold. The dresses here are absolutely gorgeous (as is the location itself)
This was exactly the bridal experience every woman deserves. And for the record my dress was under 1k and had all the aspects I was looking for (lace, a line, designer)
I would drive 3hrs here if I had to. They are AMAZING. You have to visit this place!!!

Best Day Ever

The CB Team provided a positively unforgettable wedding dress experience for me and my family this weekend. I was honestly dreading this part of the wedding process for many reasons (also hello, Quarantine 15) but the minute I walked into the boutique my stress melted away. They’re a small local business with an important mission for plus size women, but they go the extra mile to making you feel welcome and safe; their attention to safety precautions in the age of COVID and an immaculate shopping space made us feel comfortable and respected... it even just SMELLED amazing! Their commitment to inclusivity allowed me to try on anything in the store, and I was never made to feel inadequate because of my shape. They take the time to build relationships with their clients which is enough to celebrate, let alone their generosity of spirit. If anyone asks me, this is the only place to go for bridal appointments! The consultant, Maryanne, and the owner, Michelle, will not only provide unwavering and outstanding professional support as you shop, but they will become your fast friends. They not only remained my professional confidants throughout the process, but the relationship we’ve built is reflected in the care they’ve taken with us. Their patience and overwhelming generosity in providing extra time and financial relief where they could is so appreciated. I’m grateful for all that they do. I am beaming whenever I think of this day. The wedding dress “yes” is such a special moment for many, and I will never forget mine with Curvy Bride. I’m not only looking forward to seeing my dress again when it arrives, but also these lovely women!

The most perfect dress & boutique!

I can’t believe that I found my perfect dress at the first store I looked at!! I can’t thank everyone enough at the curvy bride for really making me feel special the entire time I was there, from picking a dress to getting it altered and picking it up. Honestly, dress shopping was what I dreaded most since I figured it would be hard to find plus size dresses. From the moment I stepped foot in this store, I was greeted with smiles and everyone willing to help me find my perfect dress! From the minute I put my dress on, I knew it was the one. I didn’t want to take it off, I couldn’t wait to try it on again during a fitting and I absolutely loved wearing it on my wedding day. The Curvy Bride

I went to Curvy Bride for my wedding dress, I knew how great Michelle, the owner, was based on the experience that my sister had there 5 years prior. During my appointment I must have tried on upwards of 10 or more dresses, and the woman helping me was so patient and kind. I ended up ordering a beautiful Essense of Australia gown which I fell in love with. Overall, I had a great experience at Curvy Bride and highly recommend this shop!

I knew I wanted to look for my wedding dress at The Curvy Bride even before I got engaged. The idea that there was a place that catered to plus sized brides was so amazing to me. I booked an appointment to try on dresses exactly a year before my wedding. Paige, my consultant, was amazing. She pulled several dresses I had seen on their website plus a few more she thought would work for my shape. I ended up falling in love with the first dress I tried on and ordered it that day. It arrived in the time frame promised and I started alterations with their in house seamstress, Lydia. She not only made sure the dress fit perfectly and had the appropriate length hem but added an amazing bustle. I was absolutely in love with my wedding dress and I cannot thank The Curvy Bride enough for making me feel beautiful!

Wonderful.

Great experience!

I was dreading wedding dress shopping but all my worries/concerns went away once I entered Curvy Bride. Michelle helped me during my appointment. She did an amazing job understanding what I liked and what worked well with my body shape. She quickly got a feel of what I liked and each dress she pulled was beautiful making it hard for me to make a decision (which was a great thing to have options!). Her sweet calm attitude truly helped me during this experience. The appointment went so quick and smooth and I ended say yes to the dress. The alteration processes almost went smoothly and Lidia and Michelle were great to work with. Highly recommend this bridal shop!!

Highly Recommend The Curvy Bride!

I'm having a short engagement, so my dress shopping day went like: tried on 3 dresses from Azazie at home, thinking I'd be ordering from them cuz of their 4 week turnaround. Tried on 7-8 dresses at David's Bridal, only liked 2 kind of, worried about the 12 week production time. Got to my appointment at The Curvy Bride, talked with Stacy about what I like, my timeline, and my budget, and she suggested I start with the sample sale to both meet timeline and budget needs. I found several dresses that would fit me and interested me in the sample sale, and she helped me try them all. She had great comments on how each fit me, and the quality of each, and was incredibly helpful and kind and understanding! We got through 5 dresses I think, we went to see if there was anything else I wanted to try, I found one more to try, and ultimately ended up leaving the store with the second dress I tried on! It was an amazing experience, Stacy was so helpful and so kind, and was making educated decisions on whether or not to clip the dresses since they were now in the take home immediately section, and I'd highly recommend going to The Curvy Bride!

Paige, the store manger, is fabulous!! She made this such an easy and enjoyable experience for my mother and I. She was attentive and accommodating without being pushy.
Based on the pictures I showed her she pulled dresses that I loved. I tried on 5 of them and ended up choosing the second one.
The champagne toast at the end was a fitting way to celebrate finding my perfect dress. Paige made sure to take cute pictures of my mom and I holding their cute signs.
What could have been a nerve wracking experience was a delightful one instead. I would highly recommend this boutique.

Curvy Bride is a wonderful salon! I had many people with me and they were happy to accommodate my large group! Michelle, the consultant, was fabulous, kind and understanding! Michelle listened to me intently with every dress and when she brought in this dress that had things about it that I know I told her I did not like, but I trusted her and it ended up being the dress I said YES too!! After we left, I got concerned about the size we ordered, messaged the salon on Instagram (they were closed) and the owner promptly answered. I spoke with Michelle, the owner, the following day and she eased all my concerns completely! This was the best experience my group and I encountered during our bridal dress shopping!

Best Experience!

Five stars is not enough for The Curvy Bride. When I first got engaged I was so excited for the whole planning process, but I knew when I was going to hit the road blocks, dress shopping. I was dreading going dress shopping, finding the dress of my dress only to have my dreams cut short by "Oh, I'm so sorry. They don't carry that dress in your size." I am naturally a planner and got things done way ahead of schedule, but I was purposefully waiting to go dress shopping until I found THE perfect place to go dress shopping, no matter how far. This is when I came across The Curvy Bride. I immediately made an appointment to go there. Paige was amazing throughout the whole process and made me feel so confident throughout the appointment. I ended up purchasing my dress that day and when my mom, best friend, grandma, and myself got in the car we cried because we were so happy to have had such an amazing experience there. The Curvy Bride puts aside the fact that you are a Plus Size Bride and treat you as you are - A Bride.
This feeling alone is the reason why my mother went back months later to get her Mother of the Bride dress. Let me tell you, my mother is NOT the one to buy something on the first try without thinking it through for days. My mom ended up buying a dress that day too because Michele made her have such an excellent experience too!
My dress (came in early too!) and my mom's dress just came in and we picked them up yesterday. I would LOVE to thank Paige and Michele for being so supportive throughout the process for both my mom and myself.

PS: Can not wait to come back when I bring my best friend back for her wedding!

I cannot say enough amazing things about The Curvy Bride. After having a few bad experiences at bridal salons in the central-Jersey area, I felt defeated. It felt like designers and stores didn’t make or carry dresses for women like me, who are short with some curves—especially when bridal consultants would hold up a dress and say “now imagine this on you, in your size.” Walking into The Curvy Bride was a breath of fresh air. My bridal consultant Paige was phenomenal. She was so kind and patient in helping me find the perfect dress for my wedding. She took all of my wedding ideas and style ideas into consideration when pulling dresses for me to try on. When I became overwhelmed in my decision, she told me to go have lunch with my mom and sister and come back with fresh eyes. I cannot thank Paige enough for picking out the dress of my dreams. After purchasing my wedding dress I worked with the store owner, Michelle, and their seamstress, Lydia. Both of these women are amazing, and made all of my fittings a breeze. My experience at the Curvy Bridal was by far my best experience wedding dress shopping. It is a smaller shop, but they have a nice selection of dresses and they are all plus size. So as a bigger girl, I could try on every dress and they would all FIT! It was a really nice change from the other stores. I worked primarily with Paige, who was lovely. She listened to what I wanted and brought me a few samples to try on. I literally loves every dress she chose. The store itself it really nice- spacious and private dressing rooms- ample space to have your family and friends. They were not pushy at all. I bought my dress on my second trip to the store. At that point I worked directly with Michelle, the store owner. She measured me and placed my order. The whole experience was really great and I would highly recommend!

Look no further! After having a not so pleasant experience at a bridal salon in NY I was hesitant when booking another appointment elsewhere. I read multiple reviews about The Curvy Bride and figured it would be worth the ride. I am a size 12/14 which may not be considered plus size to some people but at other bridal shops I experienced the consultants trying to squeeze me into dresses that clearly weren't my size. Then as I stood there, uncomfortable, the bridal consultant would say "oh just imagine it in your size." Needless to say, I was disgusted. Upon my arrival to The Curvy Bride I was greeted by Maria, who was a pleasure to work with. My mother, sister, and I were pleasantly surprised at the amount of beautiful dresses that the salon carried. My appointment did not feel rushed and I felt very comfortable throughout the dress fitting. I found my dress and veil and couldn't be happier! The entire staff was very friendly and accomodating and I'm very grateful! If you are hesitating on where to start your search I would absolutely have The Curvy Bride as my number one pick! I had an amazing dress shopping experience at the Curvy Bride. I purchased my dress in February of 2017 for my January 2018 wedding. It was the the second and last store I went to searching for my dress. Paige was AMAZING and extremely helpful. What I liked most about working with her was that she was extremely patient with me and made me feel comfortable the entire time. The entire time I felt that the experience was about me finding a dress that I loved and not about Paige making a sale. I never once felt any pressure from her to purchase a dress (which I cannot say for the first shop I went to). Michelle the owner was also a pleasure to deal with. After I ordered my dress I decided I wanted to order extra lace and everyone at Curvy Bride was so accommodating and responsive. I know that as a plus size bride dress hunting can feel overwhelming but at the Curvy Bride they will put you at ease and make the entire experience enjoyable, as it should be!

I first visited curvy bride during their grand opening event when my best friend was getting married. The very second we met Michele I could tell how genuinely invested she was in making brides happy! There she was pregnant and ready to pop and running the appointment without missing a beat. I told myself that day that i would be back when it was my turn. Sure enough, i returned and it was the best decision i made. Michelle is one of the sweetest people ever! Her staff is just as sweet and patient and a true reflection of Michelle. As soon as you walk into the shop you feel welcomed. The shop is just beautiful. My sister and my mother are not plus sized but they loved curvy so much that they wished they could get their dress there. My consultant was Paige, she was a complete doll! I can't thank her enough! Paige was so sweet and patient through the entire process. Being a plus size bride can be a lil daunting, there is certainly a level of insecurity you may feel. None of that is an issue at curvy. They totally understand how to dress and style a plus bride!! curvy was my favorite experience of the wedding planing process. I can't say it enough, but thank God for the curvy bride!
Lydia handled all alterations and she was great! She was a real pleasure to meet and work with! Lydia was also incredibly patient and truly listened to me and what i wanted. Beautiful work!

Hi my name is Lanée and I purchased my dress in January 2017 for my wedding day of August 18, 2017. I want to thank the Curvy Bride staff for such an amazing bridal dress fitting! Speacial thanks to Maria who made my weekend experience so great! I am a size 18 and had such a difficult time trying on dresses at 2 other bridal shops. A Nordstrom bridal consultant told me to try out your place and man, I must say, I was in bridal big girl heaven! I was able to try on every dress I liked and they all fit! Most of all my husband loved my dress and still talks about how beautiful I looked on our wedding day! People still talk about how fashion foward my dress was as it wasn't "cookie cutter" because of what I could fit into. Everyone was so nice, so patient, and the sales manager, Paige, really knew exactly what I was looking for. I loved that I could try on every single dress in the whole place too. One of my biggest fears was to go dress shopping for the wedding and Curvy Bride put all of my fears aside. Paige was such a calming presence and happy smiles. I tried on a few dresses and they were great but not the one. Paige said "let me pull one more" and I had my say yes to the dress moment! Dress needed minimal alterations and the alterations appointments have been painless. My favorite little detail is the text message reminders. They helped keep me on track to remember my appointments! You truly get what you pay for and I would highly recommend Curvy Bride and Paige!

I cannot thank Michelle and her team enough for an amazing experience. I went to The Curvy Bride right after I got engaged to look at dresses. I could not believe how many dresses I got to try on. I was not ready to buy yet, as I wanted to book my venue first, but I knew I would be back. Yes, I did try other bridal stores but there was no comparison. Some stores, I don't think i even got one dress on that I liked. At The Curvy Bride, I could have had an appointment that lasted a few hours with the amount of dresses. Michelle is so nice and her staff makes you feel so comfortable. I went in there thinking I was going to get a ballgown dress and I walked out with a more fitted dress. When I went back a few months after my first appointment, Michelle and her team were just as welcoming to myself and my family and were so excited to see we were back. I tried on the dresses I had in mind and even a few new ones. At no point did I ever feel rushed though my appointment or discouraged. I was so happy to say "Yes to the dress" at the Curvy Bride. Lydia, the seamstress, was awesome too. She made my dress perfect!! There is no doubt that The Curvy Bride gave me the best dress experience! I was so thankful to have The Curvy Bride!!

I was referred by a friend who knows the owner. I decided to get married in 8 weeks and everyone told me I would never find a dress. I called her and she immediately responded with an appointment for Memorial Day weekend when no one else was open. After an honest conversation is told me she didn't carry my size in stock as she appeals to curvy brides, hence the name, and would have to special order which would not be available by the time I needed it. I appreciated her quick response and honesty. I had to get my dress elsewhere, but her professionalism and honesty were very helpful! If I had had the time, I would have ordered from her! I highly recommend her to curvy brides!

I am so happy I used the Curvy Bride in Manalapan for my wedding dress. The dress I picked was gorgeous and arrived early. I had sleeves added and I think it looked stunning on my wedding day. I bought my dress at The Curvy Bride just this past weekend and it was a WONDERFUL experience! Being a super plus size bride I did my research and booked my first bridal appointment with The Curvy Bride and I am not looking back. It was an hour drive for me but so worth it. I had corresponded back and forth with the owner Michelle a few times through Facebook Messenger and she was very quick to respond and always helpful when I reached out with a question. I had asked if if they had a certain dress in stock and while they were waiting for it to come in at the time she took the time to reach back out to me and let me know when they had gotten it in which I really appreciated. When I got there with my mom, sister and close family friend we were welcomed warmly by Marie who was my consultant, she was getting the dress I had inquired about ready for me as we walked in. Michelle came out to greet us and gave me a big hug, it was nice. Marie was great to work with and super helpful. She put me right at ease. She told me I was her last appointment of the day and not to worry about how long I took. My ladies I brought with me had plenty of room and seats to be comfortable and I had a whole section to myself with a pedestal to model each dress in. I tried on my dream gown first and loved it but tried on a few others.... one was a contender so we put on a veil and everything but I still wasn't sure so I got back into the first dress and decided that was definitely the one. Marie brought us out some delicious peach moscato to celebrate, she took pictures for us and even after we took measurements and put down the deposit Michelle and Marie were still so nice taking more pictures for us and allowing us seconds of champagne. I can't wait to go back and see these wonderful ladies when my dress comes in. I was anxious about dress shopping but I could not have had a more perfect experience. Michelle and her staff are so kind, welcoming and helpful. It was totally stress free!

I went into The Curvy Bride feeling pretty defeated after my previous experience at a bridal boutique. My fears melted the second I walked into the door and was greeted by the warm owner. They had a huge selection and she was very knowledgeable about the collections. She did not rush my appointment one bit, and gave me her sole attention.

I found my dress today, thanks to The Curvy Bride. I did not want to take it off!! If you are a curvy bride, do not hesitate to try out this boutique.

I loved my experience at The Curvy Bride! I wear a size 20 dress (sometimes a 22), and I fell in love with some Allure gowns online. I went to a bridal store with my mother in law to try on dresses and had a horrid time because they only had a few gowns that fit me. They kept trying to shove me in things that didn't fit or convince me to buy a gown without trying it on. Frustrated, I came across The Curvy Bride and immediately decided to check it out. It was fabulous! The whole experience was intimate and quiet, and I felt like I had all the options in the world. I bought my dream dress, and they were willing to hold it until I could drive back up to NJ (I live in DC) to pick up my dress. I highly recommend folks giving the store a try!

This is the most amazing wedding dress shop that I went to. If you are like me and have curves like me then this is the place to shop. I went into a few other wedding dress shops and found that they did not have mankind dresses that I could dry on. The ones that I did didn't look right because I was squashed into them. The Curvy Bride helped me to find the perfect dress for my big day! The seamstress, Maria, did an amazing job make the dress fits like it was make just for me! From the first minute that I walked into the Curvy Bride and met Michelle and Paige I knew I had found the right place to purchase the most important dress of my life! Being plus size can sometimes lead you to feeling that you need to comprise in regular clothes let alone the wedding dress. This was NOT the case at the Curvy Bride! I purchased my Allure bridal gown last night at the curvy bride. I found the dress online and called several boutiques and the curvy bride was the only place who had it! I drove an hour with my sister to visit her salon it was the first dress i tried on and i just knew it was the one! I came back a few weeks later with my mom, my sister, my son and a friend to do a "full" appointment and try on several dresses just to be sure i made the right choice. The last dress i tried on was MY dress the original one i fell in love with online and a few weeks before when i came in to try it on! Michelle the owner was absolutely amazing. She was very responsive not pushy at all and really made me feel beautiful! She has so many options all the dresses were gorgeous! She was so accommodating she actually came in with her assistant Maria on a Monday when the salon isn't even normally open just for me because it was the only day my Mom could make it in! I said yes to the dress and Maria poured us all champagne (which was peach and delicious by the way)! I am so so happy with my decision and even more excited that i got to work with such an awesome bridal salon!!!! HIGHLY recommend the curvy bride!!!!!!!!

I started out wedding dress shopping at Kleinfelds, which the staff was great but the dresses cost more then I was comfortable spending. When I went to a more affordable and popular bridal store I was disappointed with not only the service from the staff but the quality of their dresses. My sister suggested Curvy Bride located in NJ, and I have to say, I am so happy that she did. I can't say enough good things about this place! The store was very clean and organized, with a varied array of options, and it was intimate so you didn't feel like just another bridal appointment. They listened to what I said and pulled three dresses and the first one I tried on was perfect. They made me feel so special and beautiful. Michelle and Paige helped me on my three visits and were just so sweet, pleasant, and encouraging, and they made great recommendations for both my veil and bolero jacket. The customer service was equal to that of Kleinfelds and the dress I chose was very similar to the one I loved, for almost half the price! Their prices are reasonable and they are very up front about the costs and what to expect, with no hidden fees. I would definitely recommend The Curvy Bride to any women looking for a beautiful wedding dress at a great price.

I was very nervous to start the process of looking for my wedding gown. I had read horror stories of plus size girls not having any options to try on, and having to buy a dress based on what it looks like on the hanger. The Curvy Bride was the second store I went to, and I am so happy I did. Paige listened to me about the type of dresses I liked, and she pulled a large selection for me to try on. I had a hard time narrowing it down, because the store had so many that suited my needs. After going back and forth between my two favorites, I chose a Maggie Sottero. I absolutely loved my dress, and got so many compliments. The style I selected had a very low back, but Paige assured me we could order extra lace and get it exactly the way I wanted. I worked with the seamstress Lydia through the store, and she was able to deliver the dress I had dreamed of. It took a quite a bit of fittings, which was only an issue for me, because I live quite a distance from the store, but it was worth it. Every time I went to the store for a fitting, I left feeling like I received wonderful customer service. The owner was so nice. I wound up buying my headband and belt from the Curvy Bride as well. If you are plus size and looking for a dress, do not stress out...just go to The Curvy Bride. They will make you feel like the beautiful bride you are!

Being a curvy woman I was nervous to try on dresses. I went to David's Bridal and they only had one dress I could try on. After leaving disappointed I searched for a place meant for full figured woman and here came the Curvy Bride!! I made my appointment and traveled the hour and a half drive to the store. A little nervous I was afraid I wasn't going to find anything we started trying on dresses. Not one dress or two dresses I tried on 5. I found the ONE!!! They served us champagne which I thought was so sweet. I also got my dress tailored here by one of the people the provided. My dress was beautiful and I am so happy a place like this exist. For a plus size bride, the thought of going to a bridal salon and holding up a Bridal size 6 gown up to you, to envision yourself on your big day made me sick. After some research I cam across The Curvy Bride in Manalapan. I live in northern jersey, but after all the reviews, I felt I owed it to myself to make the trip. From the very first phone call, they put me at ease. However, walking in to that store was amazing. Michelle and Paige felt like family instantly and went above and beyond to make me feel special. It was also great to have to have the dress clamped on me, I must say.
If you are a size 14 or above, I would say it is worth the visit. The dresses were ALL BEAUTIFUL, affordable (nothing in the store is over $4,000) and is an experience second to none. Thanks for making the experience so easy ladies! Highly Recommend!

Love this store! I will be honest, I am not a curvy bride (size 8) but I ended up finding my dress here and I couldn't be happier. I called prior and was told that I could order any size I needed. I liked that they ordered my size - they did not push into a larger size like some stores do. The store is quaint and the customer service is amazing! They do cater to plus size women but if you know the dress you want please consider them for ordering as well. You will not be sorry!

This store is small but amazing! I've always been afraid when formal dress shopping. Being dismissed or ignored simply because I'm not a size 5. Michelle and her staff were so incredible! Supportive, encouraging and just so pleasant to be around. As an older bride (vow renewal) I came with my own set of insecurities. This was my first time and shop trying on wedding dresses. They made it so easy and really listened to what I liked and disliked. I gave her an idea and we tried on the first three, and they were all beautiful but I told her what I did or did not like about them and she picked 3 more and the 4th one was "the dress." It was so nice because they gave me ample time to get back into the dress that i loved and made sure I spent enough time in it just walking around and talking to my party to make the final decision. I really didn't want a strapless gown so they suggested I try one on and they could make straps for it. SO HELPFUL and effortless. It also was affordable.

Being plus sized, I was filled with anxiety over looking for a wedding gown. I had a miserable experience at the 1st bridal shop I went to - hardly any dresses in my size, crowded/not private with pushy salespeople. Curvy Bride was the 2nd shop I visited - and the experience was completely different. My matron of honor and I had a huge private dressing area, our salesperson (Paige) was very attentive/patient and brought me lots of dresses to actually try on (vs. trying to imagine what they looked like on). After going to about 18 different places I was completely fed up with trying on dresses that I could not get the whole feel of. I needed to try on a dress in my size. Then I found The Curvy Bride website and it sounded like exactly what I needed. My MOH and I decided to drive the 45 minutes away. If it wasn't for this place, I probably would have had to go to my wedding in sweats! lol
I was DREADING wedding dress shopping and wanted to put it off indefinitely, but this place was a godsend. Most of the samples there were TOO BIG on me; I couldn't believe it! Michelle, the owner, is a sweetheart; she really cares about her customers. Paige, with whom I had my appointment, was very patient and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

I just love the Curvy Bride. I had a wonderful experience with them. Everyone said how beautiful I looked in the dress and I really felt beautiful in it. That doesn't happen a lot being plus sized. We traveled 2 hours to the store and it was well worth it. My mom got her mother of the bride dress and her own wedding dress there. If you are plus sized and want a magical dress shopping experience do yourself a favor and go to the curvy bride.

Words cannot express how grateful I am for The Curvy Bride! I had gone to many bridal boutiques in my town and they would only have one or two dresses (if I was lucky to try on) after months of disapotment, I was done looking for my wedding gown. One night I decided to google search plus size wedding gowns and the first website to pop up was The Curvy Bride, I clicked into the page and I was in heaven. I read how they became a business and I was in tears because I was able to relate to Michelle in so many ways.
Right away I made an appotinment and I was super excited for once to go dress shopping! When I walked in, I never felt more comfortable, I was able to try on every dress in the boutique. I am a very organized bride and since The Curvy Bride post every dress on there Facebook page, I already knew which ones I wanted. Michelle was so impressed that her and her team quickly grabbed the dresses and we had a runway show.
Thank you Michelle for making me feel so beautiful and special. The personal attention you give every bride is amazing, my sister had purchased her dress there as well. We thank you for making are dreams a reality!

I was not looking forward to wedding dress shopping. At all. I feared it. It gave me anxiety, and I kept putting it off. I put it off for over a year after I got engaged.
I've watched the shows, seen all the girls have that "moment" with a dress - I doubted I would ever have that feeling. I feared that a majority of the sample dresses wouldn't fit me, and I'd have to pick a dress either by the fact that "it zipped" or have to use my imagination that it would look great "in my size."
Someone told me about The Curvy Bride, and when I walked in, I never felt more comfortable. I could try on every dress! And the entire staff was so warm and inviting, my anxieties disappeared. The personal attention they give every bride is amazing. I didn't feel rushed, in the way, or like I was taking up too much time - and I showed up with everyone that day! My mom, my mother in law, and all 6 of my bridesmaids! It was never an issue.

And I had that moment. The one I never thought I'd have.

Thank you for making my day so special.
And for making me feel stunning - for the first time in my life.

Michele and the entire staff at The Curvy Bride helped both my mom and I find our perfect dresses. They went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with everything.

Michelle and her staff were amazing. Picking out my dress was a beautiful and personal experience. I wasn't rushed and felt so comfortable. After we picked out my gorgeous gown we toasted with champagne. It was the perfect experience. I just got married and received so many compliments on my beautiful dress. I felt beautiful and am so thankful for The Curvy Bride

Words cannot describe how wonderful it was to work with Michelle and Paige. They were able to get a sample dress in for me to try on which they didn't stock in the store. The entire experience from first hello through the final fitting was nothing but positive, professional, and considerate.

A must for wedding dresses for the curvy, plus-sized or full-figured woman! 5 stars! Gorgeous dresses and spectacular customer service. I drove almost 2 hours to buy my dress there and it was worth the drive!

I had been trying on dresses for months and was having a hard time finding anything that looked good on me. Once I came to The Curvy Bride, Peaches was so helpful and patient with me while I tried on dresses. There were plenty for me to choose from and I found myself liking all of them! I found my dress he first time I went there and couldn't be happier. I went back with my bridesmaids and once I "said yes to the dress" they brought out champagne for everyone. They were great with the service and sweet as can be. I didn't get my alterations done here, however, because they were not done in-house, but that's okay; I was just happy to find my dress!
