Picking a reception venue was one of the biggest decisions that jump-started the rest of wedding planning and we’re so happy we landed at The Crown Room! It was perfect for us. We loved the beautiful wood ceilings and the space is ideal for a good party. We loved that the location of the dance floor was both near the entrance and the bar—it ensured that the dance floor was central and busy all night long while still being accessible for onlooking guests. We also still had room to have a long harvest-style table for the bridal party. The location was ideal — a close drive from our ceremony location, convenient to guests that lived anywhere within the twin cities, and adjacent to two different hotels (it was SO nice that we didn’t have to coordinate hotel shuttles.) We worked with Natalie and she was incredibly responsive and flexible; something that most wedding venues are becoming less and less of. Because there was not an event the Thursday or Friday before our Saturday wedding, myself and my mom & sisters actually got to be involved in the setup of our space—this was such a huge relief and not having to carefully write out steps and make intricate setup directions and table boxes was a huge time saver. As an independent & particular bride, I was so thankful that I asked and was able to help setup and see everything come together as I envisioned. We even DIY’d our own flower centerpieces at The Crown Room and stored them in their walk-in fridge overnight—avoiding transportation hassle. Take down was as easy as set up. The Crown Room staff took care of all of the take down/material gathering at the end of the night and then we didn’t need to physically move items until the Monday after the wedding. Not having to stress about cleanup at the end of the night or the following morning was so nice. Natalie was very accommodating and reassuring throughout the planning process — going the extra mile to make sure we had Fresca (a family favorite soda) available and was communicative about alcohol consumption levels before and during the event. The price point of The Crown Room was such a great value and allows weddings with large guest counts to still be feasible in today’s crazy wedding world.The Crown Room Banquet Center's reply:

Our wedding day at The Crown Room Banquet Center was absolutely magical. From start to finish, everything felt like a dream come true. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was perfect, making it the most wonderful day of our lives.
The team at The Crown Room Banquet Center truly shined in their attention to detail. They were accommodating and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of our wedding was tailored to our vision. Their seamless communication and willingness to listen to our ideas made the planning process smooth and stress-free.
One aspect that pleasantly surprised us was the flexibility of the staff. They were quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had, showing a high level of professionalism and dedication throughout. This made us feel heard and valued as clients, adding an extra layer of comfort and trust to the entire experience.

Amazing experience with the Crown Room
Cindy and the staff at the Crown Room were absolutely amazing! They truly went above and beyond all my expectations! Cindy was so fast in responding to any questions I had and was always checking in to see how I was doing and if she could help with anything. There were last-minute changes I wanted to make to the venue and was worried it was too late to do, but Cindy went out of her way and made it happen without a hiccup! She is so gifted at what she does and we continue to brag about her to everyone we meet! She always has a smile on her face and has a very calm and inviting demeanor that helped wash anyway any stress I had! I truly cannot say enough how amazing our experience was and I highly recommend them! -

Amazing, elegant and wonderful wedding venue!
The Crown Room is top notch on every level! From the initial tour, to planning my wedding reception, to tasting the food options, Cindy and her team brought my wedding dreams to life! It was so so easy to work with the Crown Room. The food was amazing, the staff was amazing and all of my guests raved about how gorgeous the venue is. I absolutely loved my experience with the Crown Room and will recommend this venue to anyone looking for one! I can’t say enough great things about this venue and the staff. -

We are very impressed with the service we received at the Crown Room. Even with the coordinator leaving a few months before the wedding, the current staff was very easy to communicate with and did very well executing our vision. They set up and helped take down all décor which made things much easier. The food at our reception was slightly different than what we had at our food tasting; however, it was still wonderful. The bartenders were top notch! We highly recommend the Crown Room for your wedding reception.The Crown Room Banquet Center's reply:

We were unable to have our wedding at The Crown Room due to Covid, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to write a rave review. Gina is amazing to work with, and her communication is unmatched. When Covid hit she updated us on a regular basis, and was fair and flexible with the several reschedules we had. If you're looking for a beautiful affordable venue with amazing service, this is the place!The Crown Room Banquet Center's reply:

Best of the best!
From start to finish Gina and the Crown Room Staff were incredible! We toured plenty of venues but the Crown Room was magical and reasonably fit into our budget. We got married on the special day of February 29, 2020 and it truly was a magical experience! Gina was always willing to chat and give advice and help point us in the right direction! The team there impressed everyone on the day of - from the smallest of details(bringing my husband and I some apps when we finally got into the building) to the big stuff (putting all of our decorations up literally perfectly!). Honestly if you are even considering the Crown Room - DO IT! At the very least give Gina and call I promise you won’t regret it! — The Happily Hazledine’sThe Crown Room Banquet Center's reply:

We were so amazed and impressed by how organized Gina and Jen were. They were extremely responsive and we didn’t have to wait long to hear back from them with any questions, changes or concerns. And we had a lot of questions. Gina went out of her way to make this a dream wedding. Jen was so patient with our guests and us. They did amazing job decorating the place for us. Both Gina and Jen have so much patients. They were very responsive to all the people who was helping with the wedding. They made sure everything went smoothly. The staff was very polite and respectful. Food was the best Wedding food we’ve ever had. We got more then we hoped for with this venue. The Crown Room made our reception beautiful, Awsome and memorable!!! God definitely blessed Us by being able to have our ceremony there. I would recommend the Crown Room!

Lovely Venue and Awesome Reception!!!!
We were so impressed by how organized Gina and Jen were. They helped from from the very beginning of our reservation to the last hour of our wedding. They made sure everything flowed smoothly and talked to our vendors to ensure everybody was on time for the reception.
The staffs were very polite and respectful. Gina was there the night of my wedding to ensure the operations ran smoothly. They were very responsive to our wedding coordinators. The staffs checked on the Bride and Groom periodically to ensure things are running correct.
The Crown Room made my reception awesome! I would recommend the Crown Room! -

We loved our December 2018 wedding at the Crown Room! Gina and Jen were a joy to work with. They made the whole process of booking and planning so easy and stress free. One of the main reasons we were interested in the Crown Room (besides the beautiful fireplace, large windows, and ceiling beams) was because they are a full service vendor. We had our ceremony and reception in the same room, they have their own chef and pastry chef, wait staff and bar service.
The food is sooo good! From the open house in January that had appetizer/cake tasting and entree tasting a few months before the big day, we were constantly impressed and stuffed! We received countless positive reviews from family members and guest on how incredible the dinner, cupcakes and hors d’oeuvres were at the wedding. Some guests even describes the food service as “magical,” the servers seem to appear out of no where and serve all tables at the same time.
We chose to have our ceremony on site as well as the reception. We loved being able to create our own aisle design and ambience. The guests did not sit in rows but instead at the tables they would be served dinner. I loved how this was set up, it felt more cozy and less formal and intimidating to me and my husband.
We were allowed to take photos on site before the ceremony. There are many beautiful locations on the Crown Room grounds as well as inside to take photos as a large group or as a couple. We found it very sweet that this beautiful room was nestled in a senior living facility. There were many residents that would sit in their front lounge and admire all the beautiful dresses and give such kind compliments and advice to us newlyweds!
I could go on and on about what an amazing experience we had at the Crown Room. Bottom line, if you love this venue book it before it’s too late! -

Hi wedding wire, I didn’t go with this venue but I do want to say the staff here is amazing! I want to give a shout out to Gina who went above and beyond to give me a ton of great information as well as great advice.

Absolutely Amazing
I have no words to describe how amazing The Crown Room is and how truly wonderful the staff is. There is absolutely nothing I would change or ask to be done differently. Even some small hiccups I heard about after my special day they handled seamlessly and we're so accommodating. The food was so delicious and everyone kept talking about how good it was. They truly put in the time and love to show they wanted us to have the most perfect wedding and it was. They helped make it truly everything we could've hoped and dreamed for. -

When Cody and I first began researching venues for our wedding in December of 2017, the Crown Room popped up on my google search. At the time, we were living 2 blocks down the street from the CR and we were blown away by how gorgeous it was! Who would have thought that a senior living facility would house such an awesome place? We booked a tour right away, and then shortly after that we put a deposit down for our June 1, 2019 wedding. From the very beginning, Gina was incredibly knowledgeable and extremely helpful. She was very attentive and answered any and all questions that we had. What I really liked about Gina was that she made suggestions about things that you wouldn't normally think of including for the day! What was nice about the CR was that they held and Open House in January for you to taste cake flavors, appetizers and wine of course ;) There were also different table settings that you could get ideas from for your own day. If you are someone who stresses out about the entire planning process, this place is the way to go. It is a one stop shop for the venue, baker, food and drinks. You do not have to worry about going out and finding a vendor for any of those things, which is probably why I had zero stress planning our wedding! Everything is extremely affordable, compared to having a wedding in the cities and is equally as beautiful! I am so glad that we had our wedding at the CR and I would suggest that if you are looking to stay within your budget, that this is that place for you!

The crown room is hands down the best wedding venue we have ever been to. We have been guests there, and now we can proudly say, we had our wedding there! Jen and Gina are truly passionate and caring when it comes to wedding planning. They are detail oriented, organized, and very efficient. They always got back to me within 24 hours or less if I had any questions or thoughts. The venue space is perfect. Everything is in one area, and I was looking for that (no one wants to lose wedding guests at the bar). The food was fantastic. Everyone raved about it. Food had perfect portions and everyone got served at the same time. Which made everything go smoothly and go as planned. The over all hospitality was perfect. Everyone was greeted at the door and coats were checked if needed. We also loved that they put up and took down all wedding decor. Huge stress reliever. Over all, our wedding was amazing and everything turned out perfect. Thank you Crown Room! -
Kristin Sent on 08/29/2018How many mother's of the bride can say they were completely relaxed and had a ball at their daughter's wedding? This one can because everything from meeting with the Crown Room staff on day one, the planning stages, and the evening the wedding was handled with care and with attention to the small details. Gina, her staff, the hospitality, the food, the service, and the room all made our evening an evening we will hold in our hearts for years to come. In addition to the wedding, the Groom's Dinner was hosted at the Crown Banquet Center's Whiskey Room the night prior to the wedding. The venue, food and staff service was also excellent!

Cindy and Natalie worked so hard to make sure that we had everything the way we wanted it for the big day. This is a full service venue, which meant we could focus on getting ready while the staff set up our decorations which reduced a lot of stress for us. The staff was amazing about asking clarifying questions about the decorations so that they could make sure everything was perfect for us. The day-of staff were so friendly and high energy, they made sure to give appetizers to the bridal party which was so appreciated. The staff worked so hard to make sure everything ran smoothly. The venue itself is so beautiful, and any decorations added to it will look amazing and elegant. We had our ceremony and reception here. Gina and Jen were professional and knowledgable to work with and made planning our wedding from out-of-state easy, stress free, and fun! This venue was the perfect setting for a warm and cozy atmosphere and they partner with the best of the best vendors. It was the perfect size for our 130 guest count and our guests described the atmosphere as beautiful, gorgeous, and enchanted. We rented uplighting and edison bulbs from a preferred vendor and the Crown Room provided an amazing fireplace focal with fairy birch lighted trees. I also appreciated that this venue allowed us to release Sky Lanterns and Sparklers, features that many venues would normally not allow. The only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars was not being able to have Gina or Jen on site with me the day of the wedding and having to work with staff I hadn't met prior to the wedding day. As with all weddings there were a few small hiccups throughout the day that could have easily been prevented had I been able to work directly with the day of manager. Other than that, you're in good hands here and have a team that wants to give you an amazing day! -

We love the Crown Room!
If you're considering getting married at the Crown Room, my advice is to DO IT!!! We had the best day ever, and the Crown Room and their staff was a HUGE part of that! They were amazing with the whole planning process, provided such great feedback and suggestions, and always followed up on emails within a day or two. It was very easy to get in contact with them, which is a big thing when it comes to wedding planning! Gina and Jen are extremely organized, and have the planning process completely laid out down to the smallest details. They are very clear on their rules and expectations which is very helpful when it comes to planning. Our wedding day was better than we ever could have imagined - the ballroom looked STUNNING, all of the decor in the ballroom and all of the tables in the main entrance area with our guestbook, gift table, etc. were set up perfectly. The staff was so incredibly friendly and did an amazing job passing out our appetizers. When the wedding party arrived to the Crown Room from our bus, they were even waiting as we got off with appetizers for us! We got so many compliments on the meals and how delicious they were! The food was passed out in a very timely manner, and was all still warm and perfect when it was served, which was a big deal to us. We had two flavors of cake, and they were both so good! At the end of the night, the staff took everything down for us and packed it up, we hardly had any clean up to do! Everything from start to finish at the Crown Room was amazing, and I highly recommend them as a venue!The Crown Room Banquet Center's reply:
