We had an amazing experience working with The Classic Catering People! From the initial phone call, Georgetta was super thoughtful about our unique needs and really helped us through the planning process. We were able to have food from both of our cultures represented (Argentina / India) and the food was AMAZING. Our guests raved about how delicious everything was and how fantastic the service was. Georgetta was also incredibly helpful organizing our rentals, and was super flexible when I changed our vision (a couple of times!). We loved working with her and would highly recommend them to anyone for their event!! -

Our daughter was married on Sunday, May 26, 2024. We chose Classic Caterers because they were on the preferred vendor list and other friends highly recommended them. I can not say enough about how happy we were with their service, their food, and their professionalism. Really a class act! I can't tell you how many guests commented to me about how good the food was, and I totally agreed. We did a dual entree, which made serving go faster and was nice for people not to have to choose their meal - but be able to have 2 entrees on one plate. Of course, vegetarian and other food accomodations were no problem. Our coordinator was Mark Eisenhardt and he did a fantastic job making sure everything was planned and went off without a hitch, while keeping a very calm demeanor. I was also surprised that Gail Kaplan, one of the owners of CC, was onsite and very helpful. We had some glitches with asking for a few extra meals to be packed up to take back with the children who were not feeling well and needed to leave the reception, Gail just looked at me and said - "No problem, we've got this for you." I feel like other caterers would have given us a hard time, instead she just wanted me to feel supported and that they would make everything right for us.
The tasting was also a wonderful experience. There were a few things we wanted changed for the final menu - and, again, they delivered as promised.

Lynn and her team at Classic Catering are amazing. We recently got married in 2/2024 at the Peabody Library and I do not have enough good things to say. I would book them again in a heart beat and have recommended them to all my Baltimore area friends. Their team was the single reason that our wedding was absolutely perfect, and as cliche as it is when I walked into the room for the reveal I could not believe how incredible everything looked. The entire wedding is still talking about the appetizers, signature drinks, and the food. When we did our table visits it was #cleanplateclub all around. Their team made sure every single detail turned out how it was supposed to and when we had a lot of mishaps with our day of planner Lynn and her team stepped in seamlessly to ensure nothing was missed. From the first tasting to the visit to pick out utensils to the many emails about changes to drinks apps head count etc etc etc I knew that I was in the best hands. The first vendor you should book as soon as you know your date is Classic Catering. -

We had a fun time working with Mr. Bobby and his team. They were kind, helped us design a menu based on our backgrounds (my husband is from Louisiana and I'm from Baltimore) to help us merge our different port city flavors. They also helped us stay within our budget. He and his team went over and beyond. The food was delicious. We were assigned a team member that made sure my husband and I ate because too often the newly wed couples don't eat at their wedding. Our guest continue to talk about the food and excellent service. We highly recommend them. -

The very best!!
We used Classic Catering for our wedding at the George Peabody Library. From our first call, through all of the planning and through seeing it come to life the day of the wedding, Classic Catering was amazing to work with. Larry took our first call and we knew we were in good hands – he was so kind and never pushy - he won us over almost instantly. We worked with Liv during the planning phase and she was also our onsite/wedding day contact. Liv is wonderful - efficient and knowledgeable and a joy to work with - she just gets it. You can tell she loves what she does. We had everything we asked for and more – we never heard the word no or sorry – Classic Catering is a true partner in planning. Our custom menu was perfect (the tasting was so much fun and such a huge help in finalizing our menu). The food was served at the exact time it was supposed to be served and was hot and SOO delicious and beautifully plated. The place settings were perfection and so elegant. We had rave reviews about the food (and the presentation) throughout the entire evening and afterwards. Everything came together SO seamlessly. The bartenders and servers were amazing, Ms. Pat especially! We had late night snacks which were set up with so much special personalization – it was so thoughtful! I would recommend Classic Catering to anyone in a heartbeat. They are truly the best – we could not have asked for more. -

Not just amazing food!
There are not enough stars in the world to give to the Classic Catering Company. I had them cater my wedding at the George Peabody library and was blown away by their organization, service, and of course, food! It was so reasonably priced for the quality of food we received - truly a fine dining experience for our guests. Lynn, our catering coordinator, was so phenomenal at her job, I didn't even need a wedding planner! She took care of every detail from linens, decorations (brought table numbers, books, signage), and timeline of the day. I don't think there is a wedding planner who could live up to her capabilities. I had the best day of my entire life and I truly believe it was due to Lynn and her incredible team. I had no stress and felt completely at ease! I could not recommend more! I want to have another party just to hang out with them all again! -

I had my wedding on October 8, 2022 at the National Aquarium catered by the The Classic Catering People. Between COVID and having a baby, we had to reschedule our wedding three times. They were super flexible with the changes that we had to make. During these unprecedented times, it was refreshing to work with a company that was understanding of the challenges we were facing with wanting to keep everyone safe, and then again when my baby's due date was a mere 2 weeks after one of the dates we had scheduled.
Our experience with planning was fabulous as well. They responded to all of our questions and concerns within a timely manner. They invited us to their location to work with us to come up with a menu. They had a few snacks prepared for my husband and I. They asked several questions about our vision for the wedding, about any allergies or special diets that might require a special meal. They even let us know that they could prepare some staples for a children if we needed (we had no need to take advantage of that). They were also able to ensure that my favorite wine would be available at the event as part of the bar package.
Once we had the menu planned, we were able to schedule a tasting for the event a few months out. They encouraged us to invite my in-laws to the event as well (which we did, and my FIL really enjoyed being able to take part in that with us.) They prepared the entire menu for the 3 of us, and confirmed that everything was perfect for our wedding, and it was. They also had linens set out for us to pick from. When I gave them the colors for my wedding, they were able to pick a few different options for us. They also were able to suggest ways to make the linens the most cost effective for us.
The day of the wedding went perfectly. Our ceremony was at 7pm, and they arrived to begin setting up at 5pm. They set up for the ceremony. As we walked around the venue for cocktail hour, I was able to spot tables prepared for them to switch the ceremony space to the reception space. This was done within an hour, and went so smoothly. Nobody was standing around waiting for them to switch things over. They also set up my centerpieces, card box, guest book, seating chart, and table numbers. I didn't have to put someone in charge of worrying about that, and was able to have peace of mind that it was taken care of. When packing everything up, they also packed up everything for us as well so we could retrieve it the next day.
Every single person I interacted with was super helpful, kind, and respectful. I could not have asked for a better experience. -

Classic Catering was truly amazing to work with and provided an outstanding reception for my daughter's wedding on August 20, 2021. From the initial email inquiry to the final details for the day, Bobby Pressman, was responsive, provided suggestions and guidance throughout the entire process. This was the first wedding that we have planned and we couldn't have done this without his help over the past few months. As if his help wasn't already beyond our expectations, the amazing service and help in the final preparations that we received from Amelia Flaton, was above and beyond what I could have imagined. She truly made the event execution flawless and made sure every detail was perfect. She is an asset to the company. The food was excellent and the service was perfect. From the appetizers, to the main course, to the beautiful cake, it was all delicious and beautifully served and displayed. The entire staff was professional and accommodating to all of our guests. Their execution was flawless and every detail was perfect.
I would highly recommend this group for any event as they are wonderful to work with and cater a wonderful event.
My compliments to the entire staff that were a part of the beautiful reception for my daughter. -

The dream wedding we wanted but didn’t plan
It's a shame there are only 5 stars to give because these people deserve 10. My wife and I were working on the fifth iteration of our wedding during the pandemic and needed food for 24 people with less than 2 weeks notice. Thankfully we had already done a tasting with Classic for another venue and Larry was so helpful not only to throw things together so quickly but also to reassure us that he was thinking of and handling every little detail.
The food stands alone as it's own 5 stars. We had crab imperial and short ribs which were so good. There was so much crab, not too much sauce or breading. The short ribs were so tender and flavorful. We asked for appetizers during the cocktail hour which included Peking duck wraps, crab cakes, scallops wrapped in bacon, Brie tarts, and (my favorite) a deceptively legitimate cauliflower arancini. They packed up leftovers for us which we enjoyed 2 days later (we had no appetite during the wedding), and I can only imagine how good the food was for our guests. Importantly, my in-laws (who are never impressed by any food ever) LOVED the food and couldn't stop talking about how delicious and delicate everything was.
As for logistics, Larry and David were the consummate professionals. They set up our banquet table to my wife's exact specifications and it was so beautiful. We brought a Whole Foods Berry Chantilly cake which they decorated as our wedding cake and was as good as if not better than any other wedding cake. They were so kind and responsive in all phone and email correspondence and there wasn't a moment when they weren't a step ahead.
I could go on and on, but basically you can trust these people to put on the most important party of your life and I'm so glad we were able to do business with them! -

Fantastic in every way! We worked with Lynn, who is not only experienced with catering, but is very experienced at our venue, The Peabody Library. Lynn is kind, thoughtful, responsive and detailed. She went above and beyond for our wedding attending floral and rental appointments in addition to partnering seamlessly with our coordinator, Aubrey from Simply Created Events. What a duo! All of her recommendations were spot on and flawlessly executed. There was never a line at the bar, there were constant appetizers being butlered. Everyone LOVED the ice cream sundae bar she recommended and most importantly her wait staff was top notch and efficient. So friendly and accommodating but SO GOOD at their jobs. The excellent food was a topic of conversation among several guests that reached out to us after the wedding.. it was fantastic! After our ceremony, a tray of appetizers and signature drinks were brought upstairs for us to enjoy in our first moments together before we went down into the swarms of guests! We always had drinks in our hands and we never even stepped up to the bar. We love Classic and would hire them again in an instant! -

We loved Classic Catering, from our first email to them 'til the end of our wedding night! In addition to the amazing food they prepared, the service was top tier! Nicole made our planning and wedding day coordination so much easier, and we are indebted to her.
Classic Catering (particularly Nicole) excelled at responding to our emails quickly, giving us straightforward (and very reasonable) pricing. They also allowed us to modify our alcohol choices (since we are wine-os) and gave us amazing prices for our alternative beverage options. Nicole and the beverage staff also helped us to design a signature cocktail, which our guests loved.
We were a bit lost at how to plan a wedding, and Nicole helped us to pick a theme (i.e. international). Furthermore, we didn't want to have one big sit-down, immobile dinner, but instead have lots of small dishes from which the guests could pick while they wandered around to chat with other guests. With that little guidance, she suggested numerous dishes and offered us massive tasting sessions. Many of the dishes were our favorite international dishes that we had just thrown out as suggestions, and she figured out how to turn them into classy, smaller dishes. We instantly fell in love with the food during our tastings and were really impressed by the variety and quality Classic Catering offered at good prices. (We didn't suggest any changes.) For the wedding evening, Nicole also set up a variety of sit down and higher cocktail tables so that our guests had the options of sitting down to eat or mingling. Lots of Classic Catering staff was present to meander around to offer guests food; no one went hungry.
We also had a couple of bars and lots of staff offering guests drinks (e.g. the signature cocktail). Most importantly, there were NO lines at the bars even though we had over 100 guests! Our guests got plenty to drink without having to miss out on the dancing. :)
Nicole advised on nearly every element of the wedding and reception. Her attention to detail helped us with everything from table placement, room layout, and planning the transition from wedding ceremony to reception. Even though it has nothing to do with catering, Nicole also essentially adopted the role of a wedding planner. She helped us figure out how to line up everyone for the wedding ceremony and send each of us out at the appropriate time. She also helped calm the nerves of a flower girl and (sigh) an adult bridesmaid. The kids and our relatives loved her; she was focused and polite. Additionally, she helped us to lay out decorations, queue the DJ, and rent a dance floor. And she encouraged our shy guests to dance. :)
Our guests, weeks later, continued to compliment our food choices. (And we had plenty of leftover, take-home food that we continued to enjoy; my dad kept inviting himself over to eat more of it.) Several of the guests said it was the best food that they had ever had at a wedding, and it was the classiest wedding they had ever been to (no doubt a large part because of Classic Catering's fantastic, attentive, and friendly staff).
Nicole and her staff were a joy to work with and the food was so delicious and exquisitely presented. Classic Catering far and away surpassed our highest expectations. We heard compliments throughout the evening and afterwards from our very pleased guests! We can only hope that we have the opportunity to attend an event that Classic Catering is involved with, or hire them again, because the entire staff will make the day so amazing and memorable. Please invite us to your wedding if you choose them! -

Our wedding was everything and more than we could of asked for! Nicole had a huge part to do with that and we were both so happy to see that Nicole was able to make it by that evening. The amount of time Nicole spent with us making sure every detail was accounted for was phenomenal and made it so much more special the day of. Everyone raved about the food and how it was delicious and yet unique to reflect our favorite foods. Thank you so much for also the left overs! Made a great breakfast the morning after!!
Nicole and staff made everyone feel special. Our guests that had the specialized food due to allergies, vegan and vegetarians were OVER THE MOON! My one friend said this was one of the only weddings she has been to as a guest that she was able to eat something other than a Power Bar from her purse! So thank you so much for making that happen. I wish we could do it all over again just because of how amazing everyone that evening was from Classic Catering.
Also the dessert bar was a hit! Everyone loved the selection! We both were on the dance floor so much we only got to taste the amazing top tier of the cake you guys made sure was in our room :) That was awesome!!
I can only hope that we have the opportunity to be able to be at an event that Classic Catering will be a vendor of because again you as well as your entire staff made this amazing day so memorable. Even a month after the wedding we are still talking about the amazing food 😊 -

For our daughter’s wedding we selected Classic Catering.
Our entrees were prepared to perfection and exquisitely presented. Many of our guests are still talking, weeks later, about how delicious all the food was!
From our first meeting with David Atkinson, we had no doubt that we had picked the best.
The tasting sessions were so delicious and beautifully presented. The hardest part was selecting from all the hors d’oeuvres and side dishes, but with David’s help, we came up with a perfect menu, and even then, Classic Catering far and away surpassed our highest expectations. We heard compliments throughout the evening from virtually everyone. Not just about the food, but the service as well.
Although the food and presentation were unquestionably the most important part, Classic did so much more. They advised on every element of the reception and worked closely with us to optimally place tables to allow room for a six-piece band and a large dance floor. After agreeing on all the details, Classic coordinated everything. We were awestruck to see all the pieces come together so beautifully. Incredible! -

After selecting the George Peabody Library as the wedding venue, the choice of Classic Catering was an additional joy. From the beginning the responsiveness of the staff for any concerns or questions was reassuring. The food was excellent, attractively plated, and expertly served. Guests raved about the short ribs and crab cakes claiming it some of the best wedding food they had ever had. Everything was simply of the best quality. Truly one of the best things about this company is its attention to detail. All elements were carefully considered and thoughtfully executed. Their care for us and our guests made our evening carefree. Priceless! -

David, Terri and their team were amazing! I had been working with David for over a year planning our food menu. Not only was their food outstanding, in the months leading up to our wedding, David was extremely helpful with suggestions on how to utilize the space for our ceremony and reception held at the Accelerator Space. He went above and beyond to ensure we were satisfied with every little detail. Our guests were so incredibly impressed with the food and drinks served at our wedding, and they are still talking about the amazing bacon twists at the bar. My husband and I can’t recommend David and his team enough- if you want great food served at your wedding that your guests will talk about for years to come, hire The Classic Catering People! -

Bobby and the Classic Catering team are AMAZING. The food was beyond amazing. We got so so many compliments. During the wedding our guests forced us to go back to our seats and eat the Filet because it was SOOO GOOD. They didn't want us to miss it while we were making our rounds. But of course the Classic team had already assigned someone just to me and my husband to make sure we always had a drink and food. It was just a dream! I am still getting compliments on the food. Consummate professionals.
Classic Catering People was spectacular. It’s our understanding that Classic is chosen approximately 90% of the time to cater Peabody weddings, and we completely understand why. David was our account executive, and he knows the library like the back of his hand. He knows which dishes can be made in the extremely limited catering facilities, and which dishes need to be avoided. He knows how to address all the crazy transportation logistics surrounding the venue. In addition to his depth of knowledge, David is always responsive and constantly accessible. He charmed us at our first meeting and impressed us with the endless ways Classic could tailor the food menu and drink selection. At our official tasting, he took detailed notes on our reactions, and even accompanied us to our tableware and linen vendor, giving us assuring advice on our final decisions.
On the wedding day itself, we experienced just how deeply Classic’s staff takes pride in their work. The food was fantastic, in variety and taste, and they far surpassed our expectations in the amazing bar service. The waitstaff was unfailingly gracious, friendly, and kind (even briefly boogeying on our dance floor!). All night long, we received endless compliments about the cocktail hour, dinner menu, and drinks.
Our wedding reception was wonderful, and huge part of that is due to David and his team at the Classic Catering People. We truly cannot recommend them highly enough for anyone planning an event at the Peabody. -

Bottomline upfront: The Classic Catering People were absolutely amazing. Not only did the food taste like we were dining at a Michelin-starred restaurant, but the staff was quick to refill waters, bus tables, and none of the guests had to wait long for their food.
My husband and I had our wedding reception at the historic George Peabody Library and were required to use one of three approved caterers. In our mind, there was only one choice to go with and that was The Class Catering People. We worked with Lynn Piette and from the get-go, her professionalism and hilarious personality put my parents, husband, and I at ease. She was even able to connect with my stepson who is a fellow Star Wars fan. My mom's biggest concern with the wedding was the food and making sure everyone was well feed. We are Filipino so it is a cardinal sin to have guests leave hungry! At our initial meeting, Lynn brought us a sampling of some of their food (per my mom's request) and asked us some questions that would eventually inform the food proposal. Lynn expertly came up with a menu that satisfied our Asian/Maryland/Surf and Turf theme for the food. We also worked with Classic for our Wedding cake and she helped us create a three-layered cake that satisfied my mom's, my husband's mom, and our favorite cake flavors where each tier had a different flavor: marble with mango cream, marble and chocolate, and carrot cake.
Throughout the development of our wedding reception, Lynn was there at meetings for the linens, the final meeting/walkthru with the Peabody, and communicative with us as we had questions or changes to the menu and guest list. At the wedding, everyone raved about delicious filet mignon and shrimp with crab imperial and even those who got the vegetarian meal were amazed at how delicious and filling the food was. Lynn also made sure that we were well taken care of while taking pictures outside in the August heat. She sent a server with ice cold glasses of water for us and our photographer and videographer. Before our big entrance at dinner, Lynn provided us a plate of all of the appetizers and helped us steal away a few moments to ourselves to enjoy the food and recharge for the rest of the night. Talk about full service! We had nothing to worry about except for remembering our dance moves for our first dance.
I cannot say enough good things about how happy we were to work with Lynn for our big day. Classics not only provided the most amazing meals for our wedding, they really went above and beyond to make our day absolutely magical!

When beginning to plan our wedding, I told my now husband the one requirement I had was that we use Classic Catering (a company my family has used my whole life) and boy did they not let us down!
We wanted a unique food experience for our wedding, not a buffet but not seated, and when working with David from Classic he immediately got that vision and saw it through with us. Everything we asked for David and Classic provided without hesitation and they went out of their way to call people in attendance with allergies and make sure that everyone was able to have a meal at our wedding. A month and a half later now and people are still talking about how amazing the food was.
During cocktail hour we were taking some time alone to process after a beautiful ceremony and Classic made sure to send someone in with all of the various food from cocktail hour so that we could eat. They went the extra mile to give us a personal server who was the sweetest woman! David even made sure to put special food at our table that I had requested.
The Classic Catering People are truly a company that we can’t recommend enough!
P.S. If you choose to work with Classic (which you should) make sure to ask about their candied bacon!

We used Classic Catering for our wedding in June 2019 at the George Peabody Library. As restaurant owners, we have high expectations when it comes to food and service. Classic Catering delivered in all aspects. The food was excellent and service was top notch. Lynn Piette was our coordinator, and she is great! She was very responsive to emails and made this process very easy for us. On our wedding day we didn't have to worry about anything. We are very pleased with our experience with Classic Catering. Our guest are still talking about the food..especially the lobster rolls! -

We were amazed by how good the food was. The staff was even better. Working with Lynn on planning everything was a breeze. She is dedicated. (She had hip replacement surgery in the middle of planning and I didn't even know until after it was done becuase she was never unavailable). She is a joy to communicate with. The wait staff were amazing as well. The moment we came into cocktail hour, one of the staff introduced herself and made sure we had appetizers and drinks at all times while we were visiting with our guests and taking a few pictures with them. The food was so good that I made sure to make the time to gobble up those appetizers she brought us. I had heard so many brides say they ended up not having time to eat because of everything going on. I probably would not have had time to get the appetizers (or desserts later) if she had not taken the effort to make us a plate and give us that opportunity to eat. When it was time for dinner, every course was superb. I highly recommend Classing Catering People. Not only do they know how to make great food, but their logistical know-how is top of the line. (They did a complete reset of our venue in-between ceremony and reception while also helping us enjoy our cocktail hour at the same time.) -

I was immediately connected with David Atkins, Catering Manager, who responded to my request almost immediately and was able to get me answer all my questions, get a feel for what I was looking for, and provide me with a quote and sample email (and all before I was even received an acknowledgement back from any of the other catering companies!). So I booked The Classic Catering people right then and there and it was the best decision!
First off, I love me some David, and if you are lucky enough to have his assigned to your event, you will love you some David too (and if you don't, I can assure you that it's you and not David)! David served as my wedding guru during this entire process; he's seen a thing or two in the wedding world is very happy to share all of that knowledge. "Should I have chargers at the place settings? What side dishes go best with that entree? Can a vegan dish REALLY taste good?" David was there to answer all of my questions and he always followed up with me in a timely manner. His presence was invaluable.
What I absolutely loved about The Classic Catering People, in addition to them making me feel like family, is that I didn't feel nickel and dimed during the planning process. Prices never changed throughout the process, even when I'd ask to add an extra this or include an extra that. And they worked HARD for me to customize my menu and ensure that my needs were met. For example, I didn't want a standard wedding cake and instead requested a dupe of the Red Velvet Cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory, and they got it done!! I encountered the same kind of accommodation when I tweaked the hor d'oeuvres list and bar menu.
On the day of our event, the staff was exceptional and professional! None of my guests wanted for anything. Guests raved to me about how good the food was and we even had one guest approach us during dinner service (and who just had their own wedding 6 months prior) to declare that this was the BEST wedding food they've ever had in life!
I would love to throw another big party just to be able to hire The Classic Catering people again. Worth every penny! -

I cannot sing the praises of Lynn and her team enough! From the beginning stages of planning, Lynn was very responsive via email and phone, walking me through the process, answering any questions we had, and providing suggestions at my request for catering decisions (like food and linens) and also for other vendors in the area that had worked well with her and my venue. The catering staff at the wedding were exceptionally professional, and totally saved the day by bringing me snacks when I forgot to eat prior to the ceremony due to nerves! Even after the wedding, Lynn has been helpful and responsive. She truly cares about her clients, and that shows in the personal touches that she added along the way to enhance our experience. -

The Classic Catering People were phenomenal and went above and beyond to make our day special!
I'll start off this review with the tasting; we have an allergy and they were very sensitive to it. They served us the entire meal: bread, appetizers, main course, and cake. It was some phenomenal food and service, and it really helped us determine what would be on the final meal and be sure that we liked what we were going to get!
At the event, their bar service was great, and they made some killer custom cocktails that we had requested. They cook all their food on-site, so everything was super fresh and well prepared. We opted to go with a different bakery for the cake (even though their wedding cake was really good), and Classic Catering was willing to cut and serve our cake for us, even though we had four separate flavors.
Finally, Classic Catering, and especially Kelly and Lynn, were super helpful with coordinating and taking care of our chair and linen rental, allowing us to not have to worry about the final details in the days leading up to our event. When our florist (and day of coordinator) suddenly bailed, Kelly and Lynn were going above and beyond to help build an archway of flowers, set out the table decorations, favors, and numbers, and all-around filled in to help make the event go smoothly. The event would not have been the same without Classic Catering, and their professionalism and courtesy should be well lauded! -

Diana Sent on 08/21/2017One of the most important parts of your wedding and (most expensive) is your catering. This is one of the reasons why choosing the right caterer is so important. The process of catering and deciding who to cater your wedding can be daunting, especially when you think of how hungry your guests are by the end of the evening.
Classic Catering was, by far, a great company to work with. Lynn Piette of Classic Catering not only helped us coordinate a classy event but throughout the process of planning the wedding, she took on the role of caring mother and event planner especially since my own mother lived miles away (like mom did) and could not help with some of minor details and having never married off another child, didn’t know all there was to think about.
Lynn heard exactly what our likes were, what dishes we really wanted to include and how we wanted to incorporate our diverse, Indian, Armenian, and Scottish background into event meals that were delish! The hors derves during the cocktail hour were probably my favorite part of the wedding meals. The best part was that one of her waiting staff was around to make sure we had eaten the entire night, even after the ceremony and in the moments between our ceremony and reception when we took a much needed escape to take some respite in the changing room.
Lynn helped with everything! She made sure all of our day of decor looked beautiful, she ran a tight ship and ensured that our bar was fully stocked not only with our signature drink but also our alcohol that our guests really enjoyed.
Everything from the Airline Chicken Tandoori breast, homemade hummus and naan, and greek salad added such a unique, warm touch to our wedding.

Allison Sent on 03/26/2017Six months after our wedding people are still commenting on the quality of the food delivered by Classic Catering for our special day. From the sumptuous appetizers to the tasty main dishes, Classic's food was the stuff of an epicurean dream. For the cocktail hour, we got to enjoy a selection of tandoori lamb, Korean BBQ sliders, mac and cheese cups, spanakopita as well as mini crab cakes. (Get the tandoori lamb, you'll thank us.) For our main dishes, we had the chicken, the salmon and a puff pastry mushroom dish for our vegetarian guests. Before clearing the plates for our cake and to sustain the dancers on the dance floor, Classic provided everyone with milk and cookies. People had a lot of fun with that in between songs.
The difference between a good vendor and great vendor is people. The human factor, the character and the quality of the people whom you are paying for services rendered. We planned the entirety of our wedding without a wedding planner, and Lynn from Classic, with her experience, care and professionalism, was invaluable in helping us to plan and coordinate the day. From the personal touch, to the quality of food, down to the set-up of our table arrangements, Classic Catering was an outstanding choice. I have no doubt we owe much of the success of our wedding to Classic and all the people involved. -

Janeen Sent on 02/05/2015My wedding was at the National Aquarium and Classic is one of the two caterers that the aquarium has a contract with. From the beginning (which was nearly 18 months of correspondence), Nicole Van Natta was very responsive and helpful. It was a very hand holding process with me; as I had little to no knowledge going into choosing a caterer, but she walked me through it. Once we had decided to work with them, Nicole invited us to their office and asked us questions to learn not only about our food preferences, but what we are like as people. They customize the menu based on the couple. We tried many many things including multiple hors d'oeuvres, desserts, and entrees until we found the perfect tasting meal. And, in fact, after our official tasting, they sent us home with tons of delicious leftovers! They are also very, very cognizant of special needs guests (allergies, celiac's, dietary issues) and act accordingly. I had one guest with celiac's and the entire staff was aware regarding his food preparation and service.
Nicole was extremely responsive, and when it came to the big day, it was like having another friend with me. When I expressed that I was worried about having childcare available, she offered to help me find it. When I was a bundle of nerves, she made sure her staff pulled me aside to ensure that I ate. The staff was extremely professional and worked very very hard. The signature drink suggestion was also amazing. Everyone was absolutely wonderful to work with.
Their prices are very reasonable, and they are easy to work with regarding last minute guest changes, children add ons, additional vendors, and all the crazy drama that goes with a wedding. Finally, the food was absolutely fantastic, and I heard nothing but great things. Definitely recommend using Classic for any event! -

Katy Sent on 12/08/2014I can’t thank the amazing staff at the Classic Catering People enough for their hard work at our wedding! The staff was friendly, the cake was beautiful, and the food was delicious!
We loved working with Nicole Van Natta. She was always great with responding to my emails and answering all of my questions. She also helped me organize pretty much everything surrounding the ceremony and reception. Nicole made it so easy to relax and enjoy our wedding, because I didn't have to worry about anything. Everything was setup perfectly the day of the wedding (centerpieces, card table, cake table & topper, etc.). Nicole also made sure we were taken care of the entire night. At the reception I had a really bad headache and she was able to get me something to take right away! I am so grateful for everything she did for us!
The serving staff was also incredible. I received so many compliments about how friendly and helpful all of the servers were. We were very impressed with everyone from the Classic Catering People. People are still talking about how great the food was!
I also just want to mention how incredible the cake was! It was beautiful; exactly what I asked for!
