    Absolutely the best

After working in the industry for over 20 years, I had a pretty good idea which vendors I trusted. McHales was right at the top of that list. Not only was the food amazing, but so was the entire experience from our first meeting to the day of our event. I loved them before and don't even know what words to use now!!

I cannot say enough about the work of the Cincinnati Club on my wedding day. The Cincinnati Club was so detail oriented that I barely had to worry about anything on my wedding day. CC worked with all of my vendors to make sure that the night was well orchestrated. The pricing was easy to navigate and CC worked within our budget to make sure the night was everything we wanted it to be. I highly recommend the Cincinnati Club and Davis catering to brides who are looking for a classic event and a well trained and professional staff.

I could not say better things about Davis Catering and the Cincinnati Club. Our reception and cocktail hour was not only beautiful, but the absolute easiest part of the wedding to plan! Beth and Diane made impeccable suggestions (that I used), made sure everything was running smoothly during day of and weeks before, and made sure my husband and I had a great time. The price for the food was very reasonable, and the food was delicious! Highly recommend to anyone looking for an upscale reception with a twist of Jane Austen inspiration.

The moment we first walked in to the Cincinnati Club we fell in love with the venue! Throughout the wedding planning Beth and Diane were very helpful and there with quick replies to my questions. I couldn't have asked for a better venue to have our special day in!

My experience with the Cincinnati Club was wonderful. For what you get, it is very reasonably priced, especially for a daytime event. Diana, the manager, was great, whether helping us to plan the event or stepping in to help out when we needed it. They take care of everything, too--from linens to set-up/tear-down, and those things can really add up if you're paying for them separately (not to mention the hassle of having to coordinate all of it). The food is tasty, and they'll work with you to plan the menu you want. We were very pleased with our experience, and would definitely recommend them

We had a beautiful downtown wedding at the Cincinnati Club. We immediately fell in love with all the wood and the mural painting in the Oak Room. The whole building has a vintage, classy feel. We also liked the fact that you could only be 1 of 2 weddings in an evening. We had a lot of out of town guests and they appreciated being downtown and within walking distance of so many things to do. The Garfield Suites hotel is literally right next door so it's super convenient that guests can walk back to their hotel rooms at the end of the night.
Beth and Diana were always very responsive and helpful through the months of planning. You can tell they have a lot of experience so you know right away you are in good hands. Beth was with us the day of our wedding and she did a great job of making sure everything ran smoothly. The waitstaff was very friendly and attentive and our guests are still raving about the food. We did stations and the lines got a little long at times, but everyone said it was worth the wait. The mashed potatoes made to order and served in martini glasses were awesome and so fun (that's probably what caused the line because everyone wanted to try it first!).
I gave only 4.5 stars for flexibility because it was a little difficult to schedule our final walkthrough meeting. We were told we couldn't meet with anyone on weekdays after 3 or 3:30 so the only option for us without taking time off work was a Saturday. The problem was they were booked on Saturdays for several weeks out and I got nervous that we were cutting it too close to the event. Everything was fine in the end though and Diana came in extra early one Saturday to meet with us.
I would definitely recommend the Cincinnati Club if you are considering a downtown wedding. The value was very good for the quality of service provided. Great service and amazing food in a beautiful building in a nice area of downtown. What else could you ask for?

We had our reception in the Harrison room at the Cincinnati Club. It was a beautiful space, and all of the guests raved about how good the food was. It was a fabulous space for a reception and nice to be downtown but still keep things affordable!

I definitely recommend Davis Catering and the Cincinnati Club!

Diana was wonderful to work with throughout the entire planning process. The building was beautiful, the service was excellent, the food was great too. My only gripe with these people was they shut down the bar an hour early as they felt some people were over served. After some coaxing they agreed to simply stop serving those individuals rather than shut down the bar for the rest of the guests. I think the bar ended up being closed for a short time, and they were open to our suggestion.

Diana with the cinti club was amazing. She has a very dry humor to her which some people think is unfriendly but she will not let you down. Trust her because she really knows what she is talking about. We took every recommendation she had about what entrees to pick. The appetizers were amazing and the dinner was even better. Diana even gave us an idea about a signature drink that fit both of our personalities. I have always said and still do think that the Cincinnati club is the best kept secret in Cincinnati. The oak room is stunning and the gold room is hip and fun! We had dinner in the oak room so we were able to keep it romantic and quiet and then we danced the night away in the gold room.

Davis Catering owns The Cincinnati Club Building where our ceremony and reception was held.

They were great. They worked with us in developing a custom (and affordable) menu. All of our guests raved about what a beautiful venue it was and how good the food tasted.

Contact them. You'll be happy you did.

Cincinnati Club/Davis Catering were wonderful. They were incredibly flexible and helpful. The food was delicious. I loved the historic building and the character, and that it was in downtown. I also loved that I didn't feel like "just another bride" going through the wedding factory. I highly recommend them!

The food was really great. The only reason I am giving 4.5 instead of 5 stars is because communication was a bit difficult at times. Beth and Diana were both great, but sometimes I would tell one of them something and then it wouldn't get passed on to the other. The miscommunications were minor and overall our wedding was wonderful.

Overall, the service was great. Food was yummy, plating was nice, etc. And the location is gorgeous. I did have the following complaints though: (1) the lack of a bar downstairs. They use long tables and pull the beer out of a cooler from behind L - this could be avoided if you used the Oak Room upstairs, where there is a bar; (2) the fact that they ran out of champagne (apparently we went through THREE CASES by the end of the cocktail hour); (3) they served our meals too late (the bride and grooms’), meaning our food was cold by the time we got to eat it; and, finally, (4) they changed the veggie entrée by removing the Portobello mushroom cap in which the risotto was supposed to be served, but didn’t tell me they were doing so.

In the beginning, I definitely had some problems getting responses to my questions, but as we got closer to the date, the CC was much better about getting back to us ASAP.

When we first met with them, we weren’t incredibly impressed with their professionalism (I think the person who met with us to show us the place might even have been in sweatpants), but the venue is so gorgeous that we booked anyway, and we’re so glad that we did.

The Cincinnati Club and The Phoenix were at almost exactly the same price point when we booked, but I think we got a bit better value with the CC. The food, particularly the appetizers during the cocktail hour, was fantastic. We actually just got our final bill from them and the fact that Joe didn’t have a heart attack when we opened it says a lot!

We had a bit of resistance to our rectangular-instead-of-round table idea, but other than that, CC was great when we needed to make changes, i.e. when we wanted to move the location of the bar, when we needed to get in early to set up our non-chuppah chuppah, when we had our mini sorbets delivered early, and when I wanted to switch to having our champagne passed with our hibiscus flower garnish.

The Cincinnati Club is BEAUTIFUL! It is an amazing location for a wedding. I received so many compliments on the space and how our wedding looked based on the venue. I was happy with my decision because it will be beautiful in photos for our future and it is large for any size party. However, beware! The woman that runs the reception hall and the catering business is terrible. I would always send her the information she requested far in advance and she would say she didn't receive it, even though she replied to my emails confirming that she received it. I had to tell her multiple times about certain details like the tablecloth color. She would often address me as the wrong name in emails, which is just unorganized. I had the entire reception planned and the budget down and she constantly said we would be under budget but I felt confident we would fit the bill with the open bar. Instead of continuing to address the concerns with me, she would go around me and call my parents. She finally talked my parents into adding 3 extra, unneeded appetizers and other additional things that I didn't see fit for the wedding. She also complained when I added things that I wanted like various liquors and beers, which all were chosen based on our guests. On our wedding night, she closed our bar 45 minutes early because we were suddenly over budget like I knew would happen. Overall, I felt like the process was completely unorganized and I felt like she was trying to add in costs to end our evening early all along. She knew she wouldn't profit off of our evening so felt the need to cut everything off. I loved the venue and her partner is amazing and helpful, but this woman needs to be out of the business. ALSO the room rental deposit does not count towards the minimum for the bill even though it is listed in the contract as a separate amount.

Beautiful building but the STAFF IS TERRIBLE. They gave me ten minutes to set up the reception hall, had the wrong color table cloths and wouldn't correct them, told me the bar had to close an hour earlier than planned the day before the wedding. On the day of the wedding, they were so incredibly rude and negative that my photographer even commented about it and my sister had to ask them to not talk to the bride the rest of the day so I could enjoy myself.
