The Christy House - Fremont Reviews

The Christy House is absolutely beautiful. It was the perfect venue for my daughter’s baby shower. All of our guests loved and complimented the place. It was so beautiful and spacious. Everyone loved all the different rooms and places inside and out. It was also the perfect backdrop for photos. We got lots of beautiful pictures of family groups and friend groups.
We had 25 ladies seated comfortably between the dining room and breakfast room (connected to dining room). There was also plenty of room for our buffet, drink station, dessert table, and game prize table. The white tablecloths and real dishes added extra flare to our event. The bonus was we didn’t have to wash dishes!
We also had 9 men in the game room (in basement) and they had a diaper shower at the same time.
The owner, Chris was so helpful and readily available during the whole event. My only regret is that I did not book it for a longer window. Everyone would have stayed longer, just to hang out.
If you are looking for a place to hold a memorable event, this is the perfect place to go!

Our daughter and son-in-law chose The Christy House for their wedding with nearly 250 guests, and we couldn't have been happier with the venue and the service we received! Our hostess, the owner of the home, was very accommodating, and was always there to lend a hand with whatever we needed. I think she was a mind reader, honestly! She also helped immensely with keeping things neat and tidy during our event, and even helped me with cleaning dishes and packing up. I would never have expected her to do that, but what a gift it was to this tired mom! The house is beautiful, and provided a lovely backdrop inside for pictures on the beautiful staircase and other areas of the home. The bridesmaids all stayed comfortably in the house the night before the wedding, and had a truly special time. After the event, many of the wedding party spent the night, which was another plus.

There was plenty of room in the kitchen and butler's pantry for me to set up a bridal breakfast and luncheon, and several nice dining areas. The bridesmaids took over the upstairs for dressing, hair and makeup, and they had everything they needed there. The groomsmen enjoyed their own comfy space in the basement where they could relax and get dressed, complete with couches, television, and a pool table.

The grounds are lovely, and look out over a nature preserve. The wedding was outdoors, so this made a lovely setting. We had a large tent set up in the front of the house, and the caterers and florists were able to use the garage for working and storage, which was handy. I also used the garage for storage, so there was quite a bit of space there.

Overall, we had a fantastic experience at The Christy House, and I highly recommend it as a wedding venue!

We had our wedding here it was amazing!! Jeanne helped with anything I needed, helped set up, rally people to where they needed to be and made sure I had everything I needed!! She checked on me and made sure I ate on my special day when that was the last thing on my mind. ❤️

Jeanne and her husband are amazing and they did such a beautiful job at renovating The Christy House!! They put a modern twist on their renovations while keeping the integrity of the historical aspects of the house. Beautiful place to get married and for any occasion. I’m always looking for excuses to go back :)

The Christy House was the PERFECT venue for us. With family coming from all over, the rental rooms for family and friends to stay on-site were perfect for us. It created such an intimate event with so much connection between people from our lives. Jeanie was the perfect host, making sure everything went smoothly. From extension cords to chatting with guests about the story of the Christy House, she had such an impact on our special day. Having our wedding at The Christy House was the perfect choice and I'd work with them again in a heartbeat!

The owners were very accommodating and helpful to make the special day a wonderful experience. I would and have suggested to friends to use this venue.

Securing the beautiful home for a wonderful weekend wedding event was the start of an amazing experience! One could easily sense the smile on the other side of the phone from host Jeanne. As my daughter wanted a small, intimate wedding, this venue was perfect for keeping everyone together at one place.
We were blessed to have the most beautiful wedding weekend at this prestigious Christy Home. Jeanne is and was superbly suited for her role in providing a perfect wedding setting for our family needs. Would love to repeat the experience here as our memories of the entire stay were outstanding. We were fortunate to have our out of town children together under one roof, from Fri evening for a casual rehearsal, with beautiful accommodations throughout the entire home that was customized to the bride and groom's desires for a fabulous wedding event. Loved every minute of the entire venue!!!

I don't have a single complaint. Jeanne was so helpful, outgoing, and did everything she could to make our time there as comfortable as possible! The house is beautiful, well maintained, and full of history. I loved this venue so much, and I'd recommed it 1000x over.

We had a multi state family gathering to celebrate a monumental birthday. Our planning was very fluid and this team worked with us as we modified our plan. The property and house are like none other, spectacular views with the warmth comfort of a lovely historic home. Highly recommend booking for all celebrations!

We had our wedding June 2022 at the Christy House and it was the most beautiful and spectacular day. Jeanne (owner) is truly amazing to work with. Jeanne is happy to listen to any creative ideas you have and ask how she can help execute them! The grounds are gorgeous and provide many options to choose from to hold your ceremony and reception. The home offers a spacious place to get ready for both bridal parties. The home also offers a unique experience for guests as they can tour throughout the home and grounds! Jeanne also has great relationships with nearby vendors. We used several of Jeanne’s suggested vendors and they did not disappoint. This venue is one of a kind. Your guests will be in awe of how unique it is. I highly recommend The Christy House for your wedding and many other celebratory occasions!

The Christy house was a beautiful venue for our wedding. The guests and wedding party really enjoyed touring and taking pictures of the house. The tent we rented to host the reception under made for a beautiful night with friends and family. The only downside was due to our budget, it was hard to be able to afford even 100 guests without paying extra to use the yard space that was available regardless. Again, this was a beautiful wedding venue and the weather was perfect for our outdoor reception!

This venue is beautiful. It was a great place to have a wedding outside. I booked this wedding venue because I was able to rent the house out for the weekend. I ended up renting 5 rooms for roughly around 1800. As I arrived I learned that the owner of the house was going to be staying in the house with us all weekend. This information was not told to me before or put in my contract. If I would have known this I would have stayed in a hotel or air bnb. I’m curious to know if I would have rented the whole house out if she would have stayed in the house or not. There was an air bnb the owner rents out that she could have stayed in over the garage but she decided to stay in a room on the same floor as my guests and I. We felt like we were being watched and monitored the whole weekend. We felt like we were being watched the moment we were setting up. The owner warned us that she would be going through the trash cans to see if we recycled correctly
Or not. The owner Jeanne made my aunt feel uncomfortable. She asked my aunt from Texas if it was safe to visit there with all of the illegals and “everything going on”. My other Mexican family members heard this conversation and felt uncomfortable as well. The owner wanted first and last names of everyone staying in the house for legal reasons. She did not have my guests sign a contract for the house. I had an open room due to

And she told me that I was unable to keep the room open even though I paid for it. On our first night the owner said that we were free to hang out in the living room or the basement which we enjoyed. On my wedding day the owner peaked her head into my bridal room and asked if we needed anything. She does not allow any food upstairs. She counted her plates and realized that a plate was missing. A guest brought the bride food and she said no food allowed upstairs and it didn’t happen again. The owner of the house was not my wedding coordinator or my wedding planner but she was always around. During my wedding my guests seen her going through the garbages multiple times. My clean up time was from 10:00 pm - 11:00 pm. The owner was trying to clean up before the wedding was over. My guests felt like she was rushing to end the night. When my wedding was over I realized that my trash can in my bridal room was emptied. I realized that the owner went into my room without my knowledge and emptied my trash. The owner noticed an item in her house moved and stated to my friend “my husband and I have a running joke that people steal from here”. I had guests that wanted to stay in my open room and she was okay with that. Once the wedding was over she did not allow one of my guests to stay because he left and was going to come
Back later even though the room was paid for. My guests and I were hanging out in the basement and the owner came into the basement. She did witness a guest vaping and was very upset. She said

House out and asked what time we would be done hanging out and if we are going to be going up and down the stairs. My husband and I felt uncomfortable. We both apologized for the vape smoke. She would have not known that was going on if she did not come to the basement to look at us. We felt as though we had to end our wedding night early even though we rented rooms at this house. I couldn’t wait to leave the next morning. We left no damage to her house. The owner kept my $500
Deposit due to someone smoking a vape in her basement. It was in my wedding contract that no smoking was allowed inside the house. The owner did refund me for the open room that no one stayed in even though she states “she did not have to do that”. I do think the owner crossed boundaries, made up rules, and micro managed my wedding weekend. It’s sad to say that the owner was my biggest issue and worry during the happiest weekend of my life. I would recommend staying at a hotel
Or air bnb instead for half of the cost without the added chaperone or curfew.
