The Christy House - Fremont is a lovely wedding venue nestled in the countryside of Fremont, Ohio. Once home to the Christy Family, this Colonial Revival mansion has been renovated into an elegant and relaxing retreat for you and your family and friends. We welcome you and your loved ones for a marriage celebration to remember.
Facilities and Capacity
From small get-togethers to large gatherings, The Christy House hosts occasions of all kinds and features ample indoor and outdoor space for all your festivities. Tie the knot out on any of the freshly manicured lawns, with nature, trees and the stunning estate house serve as the backdrop for your "I dos," and the Ohio breeze whistles through the branches of bordering trees. Host a cocktail party out on the incredible 1928 original tiled patio, where your loved ones can partake in teary-eyed toasts or while away the hours unwinding over bubbly and cold beverages. Once the day turns to dusk and your dinner party begins, continue your celebration in a lantern-lit tent on the lawn surrounded by deer, bald eagles and the setting sun. As a final touch, the new couple is asked to carve their initials inside the historic Smokehouse to leave a lasting memory they can visit over hte years. The incredible dining rooms inside the house are also available for rental for rehearsal dinners and other sweet, intimate soirées. Your guests are welcome to tour the historic estate house at any point during your event and guided tours can be arranged.
Services Offered
The Christy House allows you to bring in a caterer of your choice, bring in your own alcohol and can provide referrals for tent rentals, DJ's, photographers, caterers and officiants as well as many other wonderful partners.
The Christy House owners are on-hand for weddings, they provide parking attendants to ensure smooth guest arrivals and handle all of your inquiries personally.
Unlike many other venues, The Christy House also offers overnight and weekend accommodations for up to 20 guests. The estate house has 7 beautiful bedrooms, most with en-suite baths and The Apartment has a full kitchen and 2 queen bedrooms. All rooms are available for you and your guest to rent during your event.

A Perfect Day
There was plenty of room in the kitchen and butler's pantry for me to set up a bridal breakfast and luncheon, and several nice dining areas. The bridesmaids took over the upstairs for dressing, hair and makeup, and they had everything they needed there. The groomsmen enjoyed their own comfy space in the basement where they could relax and get dressed, complete with couches, television, and a pool table.
The grounds are lovely, and look out over a nature preserve. The wedding was outdoors, so this made a lovely setting. We had a large tent set up in the front of the house, and the caterers and florists were able to use the garage for working and storage, which was handy. I also used the garage for storage, so there was quite a bit of space there.
Overall, we had a fantastic experience at The Christy House, and I highly recommend it as a wedding venue!
