Awesome Photographers!
The Carrs and Company team is great - from the talent of the photographers to the warmth and kindness of the owners. Grace (the point of contact/owner) is so great to work with - her communication and responsiveness is fantastic, and she was so kind in answering our (many, many) questions and even helped us to craft the perfect custom photography package to capture every precious moment of our big day. Kera (our photographer) is truly a self-proclaimed "mad genius" in terms of her creativity and photography art. We were more than happy to go along with some of her out of the box ideas and she was more than happy to oblige ours - the results were amazing! Our photographers also worked so well with our videographers from a different company and communicated and collaborated to get the best lighting and shots and stay out of each other’s way. You won't regret going with Carrs!The Carrs and Company team is great - from the talent of the photographers to the warmth and kindness of the owners. BEST way to document your day!
When the wedding is over, the photographs are one of the things keeping the memory alive. I am so incredibly thankful that we went with the Carrs for our photography! Grace is amazing and so organized and easy to work with! Alex was our photographer and he is THE BEST. My husband hates getting his picture taken, but Alex made him feel comfortable and confident! I can't recommend the Carrs enough. They are extremely talented and I will cherish the the memories that these photos hold forever.When the wedding is over, the photographs are one of the things keeping the memory alive. Great Experience
A year later and we’re still obsessed with our wedding pictures. They did a fantastic job capturing our day. The planning and prep was such a smooth process. Grace manages everything flawlessly. Alex did a great job making us feel comfortable in front of the camera. Our pictures couldn’t have turned out better! I have so many friends who have been disappointed with their wedding photos in the past and I know I can be picky about pictures of myself so I knew it was one of the most important services to consider for our wedding. Seriously, don’t skimp on this part! I looked around online for quite a while before finding the Carrs. In general, I highly recommend looking through some wedding galleries shot by the photographer you are booking and not just 5 example images on the company website. That made a big difference when I was looking around! When you look through the Carrs photo galleries, you can tell they take beautiful natural looking photos and you don’t see cheesy overly posed pictures or unflattering candid snapshots. Their editing style is also beautiful and classic.
I also loved that they aren’t a large business of 50 photographers where you don’t know who you will get (like some of my friends experienced). You book with a specific photographer and that’s who you work with for your wedding and engagement pictures (which lets you get to know them and get comfortable).
Our photographer was Kera and we loved her! Your photographer is around you most of the day so you want to feel relaxed with them and you definitely will with Kera.
One last thing I think you may want to know is that they take the time to meet with you a few weeks before the wedding to help you plan out the flow of the day and discuss any special moments you want them to know about and capture. The Carrs Photography were easily the best aspect of our wedding planning and wedding day process when it came to vendors. Michael met with us during our search for a wedding photographer, and we hit off immediately. He created a welcoming atmosphere where we were able to combine our goals as a couple for this experience with his company's expertise. Our Engagement Shoot really solidified our choice, as the experience was professional yet very relaxed, and when we got our pictures back, we knew that we had struck gold. The Carrs went above and beyond in planning our actual wedding day. Grace helped us to create a timeline of events and to breakdown ideal opportunities for photos that worked seamlessly with our schedule for the day. On the day of the wedding, our photographers were there early, ready to go, and captured every moment that we could ask for. They balanced all of the staged photos that we requested with tons of candid moments and new designed poses based on what our locations provided. During the actual wedding ceremony and reception, they were extremely respectful and caught many special moments without distracting from them - I called them 'Photo Ninjas' as a result of their ability to blend in despite always being present. After the day was done, we had no worries about our photos and within a short few weeks, our photos were ready to share. They were UNBELIEVABLE. Our biggest challenge was selecting which ones to share and put in our wedding album, which we are also working with the Carrs to create. Can't say enough positive things about our whole wedding experience with The Carrs. From our first initial meeting, we knew we had to have Michael photograph our wedding! Photography was one of the single most important aspects to us, and we wanted the best, and The Carrs are truly the best. They helped us through the entire wedding planning process, from figuring out that ever daunting day-of timeline to hosting fun little parties to help their Brides relax, to most importantly reminding us to choose Joy on our wedding day and enjoy every second. And that joy is reflected in our photos! They have a killer studio and awesome style, and we are lucky to consider Michael & Grace friends now. They have an amazing staff (The Carrs & Co.) that go above and beyond to make your experience the best ever. They are fast to respond, fun, funny, and add so many personal touches so it's not just some guy photographing your wedding, it's an experience. I attended a Bridal Relaxation Bootcamp and a Teas & Timeline event, and we had a reveal party at their studio with wine and we got to see all our photos for the first time with Michael. Michael even traveled to Columbus for our engagement session since that is where we got engaged, and he was so accommodating when we wanted photos with our dog Oliver for both the engagement & wedding photos. We left the wedding photo locations up to him and had beautiful garden shots at Wegerzyn Gardens and urban shots downtown Dayton. One of the most important things is to make sure your personalities get along with your photographer's since you will spend the WHOLE day together, and my husband and I couldn't be more pleased in our decision to go with The Carrs. Look no further, you have found the photographer of your dreams! The Carr's are the absolute best in the business! They are creative, kind, timely and organized. They make taking pictures so much fun and make you sit at home praying Michael will post another teaser from your shoot! :-)
My husband and I live in Colorado but were having our wedding ceremony in Dayton. With our package, we received engagement pictures and wanted them taken out in Colorado. We thought this would be a huge issue and that we'd have to find another photographer for our engagement shoot out here. But it was no problem at all, we mentioned that we wanted to do our shoot in Colorado, and Michael flew out to take our engagement pictures here!!! Michael had us up taking pictures before the sunrise and the photos are absolutely priceless. We have received endless compliments on how incredibly beautiful the pictures are. Secondly, for our wedding, my husband and I can easily say that Michael was one of our best vendor choices. He showed up on time, did his job wonderfully, looked professional and NEVER once seemed rushed/stressed/worried. Every single person in our bridal party commented to us on how great he was and on how easy he made the whole day. Our guests kept coming up to us complimenting how our photographer seemed to take a picture of every moment without ever being in the way. We cannot say enough good things about The Carrs Photography and would recommend them to anyone and everyone!!!Look no further, you have found the photographer of your dreams! The Carrs did an incredible job on our September 2014 wedding. Not only did they shoot breathtaking photos in difficult light, but they provided much needed coordination and direction the day of. Highly, highly recommended.

I cannot really say enough good things about Michael and his wife, Grace. Michael is a phenomenal photographer, and his wife Grace is the "brains behind the business" (as Michael would say!) Both Michael and Grace are responsive, relaxed, and incredibly flexible.
For our engagement photos, neither my husband or I knew what to expect. Michael came prepared with creative ideas that resulted in an awesome variety of fun, romantic, totally frame-worthy photos. My husband wasn't initially too thrilled about having engagement photos taken in the first place, but the fact that Michael was such a down-to-earth, cool person made a huge difference for us.
Now for the wedding... I will just start by saying I am not the type of person who particularly enjoys getting my picture taken, but with Michael, I didn't even know I was being photographed. We didn't want an overabundance of canned/staged poses and pictures. We were more looking for him to be able to blend into the background, but still be able to produce high quality shots and capture the true feeling of the night. He COMPLETELY exceeded our expectations here!
Since receiving our photos last week, I have directed all of my family and friends to our online album to relive our perfect day. It feels incredible to share photos I feel confident in that really illustrate how beautiful our day felt.
Of all our wedding vendors, Michael is the best decision we made. I plan to recommend him to everyone I know in the Dayton/Cincinnati area!

When people have seen our pictures they've said those are the best wedding pics they'd ever seen. My husband also loved that the day of he was so calm and helped us get away and have some quiet moments together in the midst of the craziness (those moments made for some great pics too!) We met Michael Carr and his wife at a bridal show and instantly fell in love with their style of photography. We were a little worried about the price at first, but it was totally worth it! Michael is a joy to work with. He always has a smile on his face and is ready to face whatever you bring him. Our wedding and engagement photos turned out absolutely stunning! We couldn't have asked for anything better. Michael's assistant was also great to work with! The photos you see on the Carrs website are really what your wedding photos are going to look like. Michael was also very accommodating and flexible with hours and timing. We are sad that our time with him is over.We met Michael Carr and his wife at a bridal show and instantly fell in love with their style of photography. We were a little worried about the price at first, but it was totally worth it! Michael is a joy to work with. He always has a smile on his face and is ready to face whatever you bring him. Our wedding and engagement photos turned out absolutely stunning! We couldn't have asked for anything better. Michael's assistant was also great to work with! The photos you see on the Carrs website are really what your wedding photos are going to look like. Michael was also very accommodating and flexible with hours and timing. We are sad that our time with him is over. -

Booking The Carrs Photography was by far the best decision we made when planning our wedding. From the first email inquiring about their availability & pricing, to the hug goodbye at the end of our wedding day, Michael, Grace & their assistant, Arthur, were absolutely FANTASTIC. Michael arrived early on the wedding day and was extremely positive and patient throughout the entire day. He was kind to our families and friends, creative, and incredibly professional. He has a very calming presence and showed sincere respect for the significance of our day. It has been weeks since our wedding and we are still hearing compliments about our photographer. I first saw the photos from the Carrs Photography 4 years ago and saved them to my favorites on my computer. After I got engaged, Michael was one of the first vendors we met with. After learning he had just moved to Ohio from Chicago, he assured me it wouldn't be a problem to travel back to Chicago for our wedding. We are so happy he was flexible and able to accommodate us. He is truly an artist and every single photograph he took is stunning. We had so much fun with him the day of our wedding and he made us feel very comfortable. He is watching and he makes you trust him so much that from the moment you put yourself in his hands, you no longer think about photos.
