Finding the right venue for my son's celebration of life was a delicate balance.
We found the perfect space at the Candlewood Inn, in Brookfield, CT. The event space is dignified and respectful, yet warm enough to encourage the sharing , keeping my son, Conor's legacy alive.
I cannot thank the team enough for their compassion and professionalism. Conor Rubin and Christian Sotelo went above and beyond to create a successful event.
The meal was superb!
During such a difficult time, they took the weight off of our shoulders and ensured every detail was handled with grace.

Our December wedding at Candlewood Inn was truly unforgettable, especially since many had never attended a winter wedding before. From start to finish, everything went so smoothly without a glitch, allowing us to fully enjoy every moment. Candlewood Inn brought our vision to life beautifully. We received countless compliments on how stunning the venue was and how delicious the food was. The team's attention to detail and professionalism made our day unforgettable. Our wedding was in December. We would highly recommend this place to any couple trying to find a beautiful venue and a stress-free, perfectly run event.

Perfect Wedding
We’re so happy to have chosen The Candlewood Inn for our wedding. From the venue itself to the staff, everything was perfect. We had an October wedding here, and the view of the lake and mountains was breathtaking. The inside was elegantly decorated with the same great views. The wedding suite upstairs was really convenient with a wet bar, bathroom, and large closet where family can leave their items and hang out. The entrees we picked were amazing: filet mignon, apple boursin stuffed chicken, salmon, and the Viennese table had everyone raving. The cocktail hour food and bar options were great as well. We loved working with our wedding coordinator, Krista. She was so knowledgeable and accommodating throughout planning. It always felt like she was super invested and enjoyed putting in the extra effort into everything. She was also excellent at coordinating the day of, as was assistant coordinator, Jessica. The attendants and waitstaff were super helpful the entire time as well. Hoping we get invited to a wedding here someday so we can enjoy it again!

Incredible wedding venue
We had our wedding on October 3, 2025 at the Candlewood Inn and it was the most incredible day we could've imagined. From the first time we toured the venue, we knew it would be the most stunning location for our wedding day and it only exceeded our expectations the day of. Aside from the amazing location, views, and food, the staff is beyond phenomenal. They allowed our day to run so smoothly with no stress at all. They took care of every single detail, placed every item I brought in exactly where it needed to go and handled all of the cleanup and packing at the end of the night. I didn't need to worry about a single thing. They truly allowed our wedding day to be the most fun, enjoyable and stress free night.

From Conor to Christian to Brooke and the girls day of wedding day and all the amazing staff. Our day was beyond our dreams. You always think of weddings as chaotic and never ending planning. This team made our day slow down and enjoy every second. Less than a year after we had our wedding reception here our best friends got married here and wanted it exactly how we had it. It was the most magical day and we cannot Gauk enough about the candlewood inn. We fell in love on lake Candlewood so this was our dream come true and it was better than we could have ever imagined.

Wonderful experience
If you’re thinking about booking your wedding at The Candlewood Inn—do it! The CWI team made the planning process seamless and organized from start to finish. Our coordinator, Krista, was incredible. She provided all the information we needed and patiently answered my hundreds of questions throughout the planning journey. She was so accommodating to our needs and truly helped bring our vision to life.
From the moment I arrived on our wedding day and saw Krista and Brook waiting for me on the steps, to the moment I left at the end of the night with my car already packed by the team—I felt so supported. Krista and her team took care of everything behind the scenes without me even having to ask, and I can’t express how much that meant to me.
I kept telling the bridal assistants, Brook and Delilah, how calm and at ease I felt whenever it was just the three of us moving between spaces for First Look, the ceremony, etc. I honestly don’t know what I would’ve done without them. They kept me grounded through the family chaos and felt like two angels looking after me all day, making sure I was safe, hydrated, and well-fed.
The food was another highlight—absolutely delicious and abundant. I especially appreciated that the team had trays of food from cocktail hour waiting for us in the bridal suite so we could have a private moment to enjoy all the food before mingling with our guests. Our drinks were also replenished the entire night. The staff doesn’t just take care of the guests—they go out of their way to take extra care of the couple, which felt incredibly special. We received so many compliments from our guests during and after the wedding about how impressed they were with both the food and the exceptional service.
Overall, we’re beyond happy with how our wedding day turned out and so grateful to The Candlewood Inn for making it such a beautiful, stress-free experience.

The perfect wedding
To Christian and the Candlewood Team who helped us on our special day there aren’t enough words to say how thankful we are for you guys. From our initial meeting till the last dance it was truly amazing. The communication throughout the months leading to the wedding was perfect. You were there for quick questions, food questions, silly questions to everything in between. The day of the wedding went so well and smoothly!! I was blown away at the communication, the focus on making us comfortable and at ease, and the attention to detail. We couldn’t have done it without you guys. Highly Recommend!
I can’t recommend The Candlewood Inn enough! We live 2 hours away but had no second thoughts about booking this venue. Not only is the location absolutely gorgeous, but the staff is incredible to work with. Christian and team were so helpful, responsive, accommodating, and kind. There is only 1 event per day, so you get the full focus of the Candlewood team. We also booked the on location bridal suite for the girls to get ready in the morning of the wedding. The space was perfect, and they provided us with so much food. And speaking of the food, it was incredible! Our guests are still telling us how much they enjoyed the food, service, and overall beauty at Candlewood. We had several of them tell us that the 2+ hour drive to our wedding was 100% worth it, which is the highest praise I could give!

An Amazing Venue With THE BEST Staff
Our Wedding day (and evening) at the Candlewood Inn was nothing short of exceptional. Christian and his staff we're amazing, their attentiveness, focus on detail, responsiveness, and overall excitement to host our day exceeded our already high expectations! The venue itself is beautiful and incredibly maintained, set on the picturesque Candlewood Lake, it was the perfect backdrop to our wedding, not to mention the convenience in location and proximity to hotels, I-84, and various sights in Brookfield and neighboring towns. The food, wow, just wow. From cocktail hour, through dinner service, and dessert, every option we chose was incredible and left a huge impression on our guests. The staff was so organized and on top of every little detail, coordinating the day perfectly allowing my wife and I to take a step back and enjoy the party.
We cannot recommend The Candlewood Inn highly enough for couples looking for a stunning venue with exceptional service!

The Candlewood Inn exceeded all of our expectations and was a perfect venue. We got married on May 3rd- it was a beautiful day and the property was stunning and well-maintained. We worked with Christian who was professional, experienced and detail-oriented. We met multiple times to discuss the process and to allow for a smooth wedding day. The bridal assistants, waitstaff and bartenders were phenomenal as well. Overall, we had an exceptional day and we are very happy we chose The Candlewood Inn for our wedding.

Dream wedding venue
I don’t think I could say enough wonderful things about Candlewood Inn and their team. Simply put our day was perfection. Krista and her team made sure everything was as we wanted it and we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Our bridal attendants Mary and Leslie were the true fairy godmothers of the day making sure myself (the bride) and the rest of our bridal party had everything they needed at all time. The communication throughout the process coming up to the wedding and on the day was absolutely flawless. We felt truly cared for which can be hard to find with the amount of weddings that are done. The venue itself was beautiful, you cant quite beat the views on that lake, and so that alone makes it so special. The food was spectacular, us and our guests could not get over how delicious everything was. The staff throughout the night was so professional and kind, and made sure our guests were cared for as well. We loved having the time alone right after the ceremony with all of the appetizers we had picked just to have a bite to eat and take a moment to reflect on being married! It was so special and I attribute that to the work the Candlewood team put in. I would recommend this venue to everyone and anyone that just wants a beautifully run day. I already cant wait for one of our friends to get married here too!

The perfect venue for our special day!
My husband and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding day, and so much of that is thanks to The Candlewood Inn and their amazing team! Krista, the event manager, was truly outstanding from day one! From the planning process to the big day, she made everything so seamless and stress-free. Her attention to detail and calm demeanor were such a comfort, and she made sure every moment went off without a hitch.
The staff at Candlewood was phenomenal—so polite, attentive, and professional. They were always on point, making sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish. And the food? Absolutely DELICIOUS! Our guests are still raving about it. I have a food allergy, and they were so accommodating, making sure everything was safe for me to eat!
The venue itself was stunning, especially the beautiful lake view, which created the most breathtaking backdrop for our ceremony and photos. It added so much to the magic of the day! We are beyond grateful for the team at Candlewood Inn and the perfect day they helped us create!

An Absolute Dream Venue
This venue is an absolute dream. It was the second venue we saw and immediately fell in love. We couldn't have asked for a better spot to host our wedding.
We had a Sunday fall wedding and myself and the bridal party stayed at the venue all day getting ready. The bridal attendants were phenomenal, tending to our every need. Brook was my day of attendant and was absolutely amazing, she was able to anticipate my every need, was always checking in on me to make sure I was okay and wasn't overwhelmed. I felt so safe and at ease with her. Plus, she is a RIOT. We were cracking jokes all day and she even through on a wig and fake mustache during our ceremony (which made for an epic photo opp).
Krista the event manager is such a sweetheart. She was so easy to talk to and plan with and was a gem the day of, making sure everything was running smoothly. The day would have not been possible without her. She also came up to me throughout the night with photo opp ideas that I would have never thought of, and made sure my husband and I were taken care of.
All in all, I could rave about this venue and the staff forever. We definitely made the right choice booking here and highly recommend to everyone. The views are phenomenal, the building is gorgeous and the staff is 10/10.

Beautiful wedding day
I had the privilege of attending my daughter's wedding at this beautiful venue, yesterday. Everything was fantastic. The professionalism of the entire staff was evident from the beginning of the day and continued throughout the entire wedding. The food seemed to be never ending and was delicious. Breathtaking, in your Budget, and Beautifully Balanced
The Candlewood Inn was the absolute best wedding venue I could have asked for. First - the price. The amount that is included for the price makes the venue an option for ALL budget sizes. Second - the food; we can’t rave enough about how fantastic the food was, how much food there was, and how we were able to get exactly what we wanted, and what our guests wanted. Third, the spot is gorgeous by a beautiful lake while still being close enough to hotels and transportation and finally - the staff. Krista, our wedding planner held our hand and made sure that all of our details were taken care of. Gina made sure our food was delicious and food crew were operating wonderfully. And Delilah and Brook made the day - as the bridal assistants, they really set the tone for the day-of experience for the couple, and their thoughtfulness, patience, support, humor, and dedication ensured I had the most perfect day. My mom was so moved by their amazing work she wrote them personal thank you cards as well! Overall - go for it. Book this spot for your wedding and you won’t regret it for a minute.

The best venue ever!!!!
We just got married at Candlewood Inn in May and I seriously can’t recommend them enough. Great location, beautiful cocktail hour area, beautiful outdoor area, plenty of parking, and a stunning view for photo opportunities. It was my dream venue for my perfect day. Outside of the amazing location, the wedding packages are phenomenal and what sold me on this venue. Christian and Krista were amazing and so helpful and attentive throughout this entire experience. I feel like every other day I was asking them questions and they had the answers back so quickly. Gina and the bridal attendants on the day of were equally as amazing. I didn’t have to get centerpieces, table cards, sweetheart table decorations, or table numbers as this was all included. They set up everything that I brought beautifully and broke it down and packed it into my car at the end of the night. I swear I didn’t have to lift a finger the entire day. The bridal attendants were always by me or my husband making sure that we had everything we needed – drinks, food, privacy, fixing my hair or veil for photos, holding things for me, you name it, they helped me do it. Additionally, the entire team at Candlewood worked seamlessly with all of our vendors before and on the day of the wedding. If something went wrong, I never found out about it! I swear, the day could not have gone any more perfect. If you are type A like me and want to make sure that you will have absolutely nothing to worry about on the day of your wedding… choose Candlewood Inn. You get so much more than you can ask for. I promise you will not regret it. I am telling everyone that will listen.

My experience with CWI was above and beyond fantastic. Everyone was professional, and flexible; all my questions and concerns were answered by someone. Seamless, Unforgettable Wedding Experience!
I can't even begin to express how pleased my husband and I were with our wedding experience at The Candlewood Inn. From our initial visit, to our final farewell on our wedding night, every aspect completely exceeded our expectations. Conor, Christian and the entire team were not only accommodating and on top of every single detail, but they truly made you feel like your wedding day was the most important thing to them and our happiness was their main priority. Every question or concern we had during the planning process was addressed quickly and thoroughly. There was always constant communication and I felt at ease through the many planning stages. There was also nothing that the team didn't have a plan for. The day of our wedding, a rainstorm decided to make its debut right before our outdoor ceremony. Before I could even dwell on the disappointment of this, the team jumped into action, pushing back the ceremony just a bit, tracking the storm, keeping our guests comfortable and ultimately making our outdoor experience a total success. The bridal attendants were nothing short of amazing, as well. They constantly made sure that I had what I needed, bringing me snacks, water, Advil, you name it! I can say I felt like an absolute princess that day! On top of it, my guests raved about this wedding experience as well. Multiple people told me they've never enjoyed the food at a wedding as much as they did here and that it was the most seamless wedding experience they had been to. Choosing The Candlewood Inn for our venue was the best decision ever. We are forever grateful to the staff for giving us such an amazing experience and memories that will last a lifetime!

Amazing venue
Candlewood inn was the perfect venue for a wedding. It is beautiful even on a rainy day. Christian and his staff were so helpful and organized throughout the whole process of planning my wedding. I was even able ti change my wedding day a year due to Covid without any financial penalty. The actual wedding couldn’t have gone any smoother. I had multiple guests come up to me saying how this wedding was the most organized they have ever seen. Bridal attendants assisted with our every need throughout the wedding. Would recommend this venue to anyone!

Best day with the best team at the best venue
I cannot say enough about how wonderful all of the people at the Candlewood Inn were from start to finish. Our journey took so many twists due to Covid, and Conor was wonderfully supportive, thoughtful and helpful without fail. Once we actually got closer, Christian and team were helpful, excited and flexible as we worked together to plan the day. The day itself was perfect- not a detail overlooked or a flaw in the house. The renovated bridal suite was a wonderful surprise to add to the day and the perfect setting to sign the ketubah. The gazebo had beautiful florals and made for a fabulous setting for photos. The food was incredible and the cake exquisite. Choosing the Candlewood Inn for our wedding was the best decision we made and I could not be happier. The team there is really a special group of people.

Best Wedding Venue!!
I don't even know where to begin to review the Candlewood Inn because our wedding day celebration was absolutely perfect. The setting was beautiful and the food was delicious, but it was really the staff that made our event so special. From the moment we met with Conor two years ago, we felt like we were in the hands of people who truly cared about us and cared about making our wedding celebration magical. Christian and Kirsten were so responsive and helpful in the entire planning process, and of course, on the day of.
Speaking of the day of, our bridal attendants, Delilah and Gina, were incredible! They were so attentive and thoughtful and made the entire day (from our 10 am arrival to our 12:30 am departure) run seamlessly. They were one step ahead of us while we were getting ready, bringing us things we didn't know we needed until they brought them. They were there for me, my girls, Max, and his boys every moment and it did not go unnoticed.
I can not get over how easy it was to plan a wedding at the Candlewood Inn. From our drop-off appointment to loading up the car at the end of the night, everything ran like a well-oiled machine and made the wedding day itself go perfectly. I'm honestly so sad that the wedding is over and I just keep saying to Max, "why would anyone get married anywhere else??".
I know I glossed over the setting and the food in the beginning, but those aspects of the wedding were obviously also amazing. The lake and the gazebo are truly a beautiful backdrop to get married in front of, and the venue inside is equally as stunning.
The food was outstanding. Everybody LOVED the New England station and the gelato station, as well as their dinner. We've received a ton of compliments on how great all of the food was; many have said it's the best wedding food they've had.
So many of our guests have told us that our wedding was the best wedding they've ever attended, and I'd have to (with bias, of course), agree. It was a perfect event from start to finish. I highly highly recommend!!

Best venue, great crowd pleaser
So I had to reschedule my wedding maybe about 2-3 times during Covid. They helped me and didn’t cause any issue through the process. They helped me pick a new date and they were very helpful and courteous. My guests loved the weather and the sights. Honestly they spent a lot of time outside which was great! The view was awesome and the photos we got were amazing. My friends didn’t even want to leave when our time was up haha! Food was amazing and the service was helpful in making sure I was fed and had some extra in case of snacking! I would recommend, but be sure to schedule at least a year in advanced. They’re very popular!!

Better than my dream wedding
Our wedding could not have been more perfect. Let me start off by saying I have always wanted to get married at the Candlewood Inn since I was younger! My parents and I would pass by on the boat and I would point and say I am going to get married there one day! Sure enough we did and it absolutely exceeded my expectations!!! Being a COVID Bride and planning our 2020 wedding it was pretty heartbreaking when we heard we had to reschedule. The entire staff at the Candlewood Inn, especially Christian and Conor, made the transition and moving our date into 2021 much Less stressful. I know I must’ve called them 1 million times with a ton of questions but they always got back to me within the same day! when our wedding day finally came it couldn’t have been more perfect! Besides having a stunning location their food was absolutely incredible. We have had almost ever single guest come up to us and tell us it was THE BEST food they have ever had at a wedding. The day of staff and bridal attendants were so helpful and I couldn’t be more grateful for the reminders to make sure I ate my food (lol). I wish they day never had to end. Thank goodness for photos!!! Thank you Candlewood Inn for the most perfect wedding a bride could have asked for!

No competition, the best venue in Connecticut!
From the first time we saw it, the Candlewood Inn was the perfect venue for me and my wife. Everyone that worked there was incredibly informative, kind, understanding, communicative, and helpful, especially throughout the process of trying to plan a wedding during the pandemic. They consistently updated us on any potential changes or concerns (especially regarding the pandemic), answered all of our questions, accommodated special requests, and went above and beyond when providing for us both before and during our special day. Everyone that works there is incredibly kind, genuine, and supportive throughout the entire process (Thank you so much to Conor, Christian, and Kirsten!). When it rained on our wedding day, they moved everything inside seamlessly and made it look beautiful. The staff made sure that we had everything we needed and kept everything going smoothly throughout the entire day. They created the perfect atmosphere for our intimate wedding day without any problems, and they communicated with us throughout the entire process. And don’t get me started on the amazing food! Their menu options are outstanding and the food on our wedding day was delicious. A month later, friends of mine still ranted to me about wishing they could have the food again. When the event was over, they helped us move things out and shared such kind words and wishes to us as we began our marriage. I cannot speak highly enough of this venue and the people who dedicate themselves to making wedding days perfect and brides and grooms feel special.

Beautiful Venue With An Excellent Team
We originally booked a July 2020 wedding at Candlewood, however due to COVID we needed to reschedule. We chose to reschedule to December and Conor was nothing but gracious and accommodating. As the months went on and COVID wasn’t going anywhere, we ultimately decided to have a much smaller wedding elsewhere. I was so sad to have to cancel our wedding at Candlewood because the venue is absolutely beautiful and the new renovations are stunning, and the food is amazing. Conor was, again, incredibly understanding and responsive to my many questions, and helped me every step of the way. I am sad we did not get married at Candlewood because it would’ve been an amazing experience, so I could not recommend this venue and staff more.

Amazing venue with the best team!
The Candlewood Inn is amazing! This venue was our first choice and they did not disappoint at all! We worked with Conor who was always so responsive and supportive. Initially we planned to have a full wedding and reception, but then plans changed to an intimate ceremony only due to COVID. Conor was able to work with us to put together a small ceremony only package onsite for our original wedding date. The day of our wedding ceremony, Conor and Christian were proactively keeping an eye on details and timing to ensure seamless transitions. From arrival and set up, to walking down the aisle, and pictures they handled everything. Conor and Christian took the lead when needed, so we could enjoy and be in the moment. They took all extra precautions for COVID protocols to ensure our guests would feel welcomed and safe. We can’t wait to return to the Candlewood Inn next year for our reception and to enjoy the full Candlewood Inn experience!

Stress free wedding planning!
I really can't say enough nice things about the professionalism of the staff and the beauty of this venue! I personally was not the most organized bride and they made the entire process amazingly almost completely stress free! They do just about everything for you and give you many options to personalize (although I definitely get the impression that if you wanted to be more hands on than I, they would be very accommodating to that as well :-)). Christian is absolutely amazing, he is very organized and knowledgeable and great at making things streamlined and efficient while still being such a caring person. He really can make you feel special! I also really loved all the support day of. I personally worked with Sabrina who was amazing at keeping me and the day on track (which was not an easy task!)! My husband loved who he worked with as well, but of course can't remember his name :-P. Great food, great help, wonderful people, in a beautiful environment . I really couldn't ask for more. If you want as stress free of a wedding as possible- Book with these great people!

Amazing November wedding
I got married in November 2019 and our reception was at the Candlewood Inn and I can’t say enough at how amazing the event and the staff were. From the second we pulled in to the time we left, everyone was extremely professional and helpful to make this the best day ever. We had a large party close to 230 and a cold day so everyone was inside the whole time. They handled it with ease and kept everything moving despite the large demand. It was the best decision we made next to the “I do”!

The most gorgeous venue and best staff
We had our wedding at Candlewood Inn on September 27, 2019 and we could not be happier with the experience from start to finish. We knew we were at the right venue the minute we stepped out of the car for our initial meeting. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the waterfront setting is spectacular. Even on a cloudy or snowy day the setting is unmatched. We initially booked with Filmonea who explained all the details with us and was extremely pleasant to work with. Christian, the event coordinator, met with us after to help us choose table settings, wines for the table, etc. He communicated with us throughout the months leading up to our wedding. On the day of, he was present throughout the event to make sure everything ran smoothly. He checked in with us frequently and met our every need. He truly was a pleasure to work with from initial planning to the final event. Kirsten, the administrative coordinator, helped us tremendously in the final weeks leading up to our wedding. She was quick to answer any questions we had via email or phone. She also met with us the week of our wedding, so we could finalize exactly how we wanted to the room set up with our various decorative items. Christina and Sabrina were assigned as our personal attendants on the day of the wedding. To say they were excellent is an extreme understatement. Both helped to bustle both my and my mom’s dresses, they made sure my husband and I always had a drink (even before we finished the first!), and had appetizers waiting for us following our ceremony both on the lawn during pictures and in the wedding party suite. They both checked in with us regularly to be sure we had everything we needed. Mario was also ever present during our event. He helped guide us prior to the ceremony and made through everything ran smoothly throughout the night. It was a pleasure to work with him. Aside from the superb staff, the food was incredible. From appetizers to main dishes, everything was absolutely delicious. We continue to get compliments. My husband and I continue to talk about how seamless the night was. We did not have to worry about a thing as the entire Candlewood Inn staff took care of every detail. We couldn’t be more pleased with how our wedding went. It was a night to remember and we cannot thank the entire team at Candlewood Inn enough for their services.

Beautiful venue, great service
We searched extensively for a reception venue that would be not only beautiful, but top notch quality and service. We found all of that and more at the Candlewood Inn. Christian and the bridal attendants and assistants were amazing. They ensured we were fed throughout photos and the cocktail hour, refreshed with drinks and water, and even carried a small table around with us with food and drinks during the family photos. They were amazing with helping to carry my train, bustle the dress with my sisters and positioning the train for numerous photos. We felt 100% taken care of throughout the reception, as they were there to check on us and make sure we were fed and happy with our dinner.
The food was absolutely delicious. Our guests raved about the new england seafood station and shrimp cocktail station, the hors d'oeuvres, and main entrees. The cake was SO good, and beautifully presented, and the cookie/pastry trays were a perfect touch for after dinner!
We lucked out with a great weather, and everyone was loving the venue setting on the lake. This place is beautiful, and will be the perfect spot for anyone looking for a picturesque wedding. Thank you to Christian and all the staff! We strongly recommend the Candlewood Inn!!

I am from NY, so originally was unsure if we should go with a CT wedding but once my husband and I looked at this venue we instantly fell in love with it. FFW to the wedding day and they were always one step ahead with EVERYTHING! Christian was excellent to work with and so accommodating. We decided on Candlewood Inn for our venue after we saw the amazing view they had. We had our wedding there yesterday and I have to rave about them because they were so amazing. Bridal attendants always made sure I was being taken care of with everything I needed bring me food during cocktail hour since I was taking photos. They were on top of everything for me. The whole staff were amazing and they let me know of everything going on ahead of time so that way I knew. They made my wedding perfect! We would give 10 stars if possible! We celebrated our wedding day in early December 2017, and although the venue is known as a premier location for outdoor weddings, we were blown away by the holiday décor and beautiful cozy ambience of a winter wedding. The staff at the Candlewood Inn makes wedding planning a breeze due to their expertise in event planning. We dropped off all our decorations and personal touches a few days before the wedding, thinking that some of our bridal party would need to set up a few of the bigger items, however the team at Candlewood did it all for us. Christian and team go above an beyond the day of the wedding to make sure that all plans are executed to perfection, the bride and groom are fed, and gifts are secure. We had 4 staff members available for help and for service the whole day. All the food was excellent. Plus we loved that the dance floor is huge and accommodated so many of our guests. Many family members and friends have told us that our wedding was one of the best they have ever attended. Thank you Candlewood Inn!

The Candlewood Inn was absolutely amazing from beginning to end. The husband I were blown away by the property and the fact that they are a full service venue was awesome. The staff is amazing and planning, from our first meeting before we signed our contract, to our wedding day was stress-free. I never had any problem getting my questions answered in a timely manner. We decided to create our own centerpieces and the staff graciously created the tablescapes for me on the day of working from pictures I provided and everything was perfect. The food is amazing; not one of my guests were disappointed! Look no further than The Candlewood Inn for a gorgeous venue on the water in Fairfield County.

I recently got married in June, and The Candlewood Inn made my experience so unforgettable. The whole staff, especially Christian were completely professional and helpful from day 1 with wedding planning. The first time we met he even gave us some sample cake slices to take home that someone had left...we were so excited to try so many cakes! And even with not so great weather and a ton of Danbury traffic, they created a perfect day for us. My guests complimented on how beautiful the ceremony was, even inside. They were able to transform the room from ceremony to reception with no problem. The food they provided was phenomenal, there were so many rave reviews from our guests, and our cake was incredible! A simple funfetti with cream cheese filling, everyone LOVED it! We also decided to have one of their exit stations as our guest favors...we chose the fabulous "cookie jar." We knew people were appreciative of some to-go cookies just by how little cookies were left by the end of our wedding. It was definitely a great favor idea. I can't say enough great things about Candlewood. The staff, the food, the service, the scenery, the atmosphere...I wish we had been able to party there all night long! They are an absolutely wonderful wedding venue.

We are so thrilled that we picked the Candlewood Inn for our reception. From the moment they opened the limo door and we stepped out, Christian and the gang were by our side. They went above and beyond--asking us what they could get us, bringing out appetizers and drinks while we were taking pictures and even bustling my dress for me!! We left a roll tulle at the venue that we didn't know how to use and they tied it into beautiful bows on the bathroom stall doors!! They went above and beyond and the reception was absolutely everything that we hoped it would be. We had a little mishap with seating and Christian fixed it almost instantly and absolutely seamlessly. Besides being a stunning venue, the service is what really made our wedding day spectacular. They even asked us when we wanted them to serve our food so that it wouldn't get cold when we were going around to our family and friends. This phenomenal service and stunning venue made our day absolutely perfect and we are so thankful that we chose the Candlewood Inn.

There was a chance of rain on our wedding day, and the indoor option with the same view would have been perfect had we needed to hold the ceremony indoors. Christian, our coordinator, and the staff at The Candlewood Inn made everything from planning to the actual day run smoothly. Everything was set up perfectly. They took the time to understand how exactly we wanted things to be displayed and double checked with us when they weren’t sure. The attendants did a great job of making sure our every need was taken care of the day of the wedding. We were kept aware of when events were going to take place, and they ensured that we had plenty to eat and drink throughout the day. The food was excellent, from hors d’oeuvres to entrees to the cake were perfectly prepared and presented. The day ended with the staff packing up all of our stuff and loading it into the car, so we had not a single thing to worry about. We would recommend The Candlewood Inn to anyone looking for a wedding venue!

Our wedding was on 9.16.16 and our guests are STILL raving about how much they loved everything about The Candlewood Inn! From start to finish the staff truly went above and beyond to make it the best day ever. Our friends and family all complimented how welcomed they felt and how exceptional the service was. The attendants throughout the night were so pleasant and I felt that they were truly happy to be there, celebrating with us:) Five stars is not enough to rate the quality of service!!! Leading up to and even the day of, the entire staff worked with us to understand our vision, and they offered helpful suggestions at every turn. They were incredibly accommodating and reassuring through every decision regarding our special day. The value of this venue is exceptional, everything was very reasonably priced and there were many options for add on's in addition to the meal provided. We will never be able to say enough good things about our wedding ceremony & reception thanks to The Candlewood Inn!

I can not say enough about The Candlewood Inn! The second my husband and I drove into the parking lot to view it we knew it was the place for our special day! The view of the lake alone is breathtaking! Filomena and Christian were great responding to my emails before the big day. Marlene did and amazing job reigning our big group in for the rehearsal and made sure all of our last minute questions were answered. The day of Mario was there to help with anything and everything! He came out of no where at times to do simple things you wouldn't normally think about, for instance when I came out and was about to start my first dance I thought what do I do with my bouquet and then I looked up and he was there to grab it from me! We had two attendants Emily and Christina these two were absolutely amazing!!! While taking pictures the two of them made sure my bridal party was fed and had drinks as well as me and my husband. So I wouldn't get anything on my dress they actually fed me at one point and gave me my straw to sip my drink. During the pictures I had taken my shoes off and when we got back in the girls actually got a wet wash cloth and cleaned my feet off before putting my shoes back on for me! The girls were there all night long getting us drinks and anyhting else we needed! All of our guests raved about the speedy service at the bar, the bartenders had set up the most common drinks all across the bar so no one had to wait a second for their drinks after the ceremony! The day was perfect which for a wedding is usually hard to say but The Candlewood Inn delivers the food was amazing and the staff was exceptional!!

We knew before we got engaged that Candlewood Inn was where we wanted to be married just because of the absolutely gorgeous setting. We could not be happier with our decision. Everything was absolutely perfect! Christian was so great to work with leading up to the wedding and the day of. He made sure that everything ran smoothly and oversaw the entire day. Sabrina and Emily were dedicated to the bridal party, they were amazing! They were always there with a new drink when ours were getting low, they made sure we got to enjoy food from the cocktail hour, they made sure that we ate our dinners, they even helped my maid of honor bustle my dress!!!!!! Christian and his staff really made sure that we had the best time at our wedding. We knew that we were in good hands and we were able to relax and enjoy ourselves. The food was amazing, we are still getting compliments from our guests. The food arrived to each person hot, which at weddings doesn't usually happen, the filet was cooked as requested by the guests, and everything was so delicious! The late night pizza station was also a huge hit with our guests! I cannot even put into words how amazing The Candlewood Inn and ALL the staff were. They followed through with every little detail we requested from serving beer in pint glasses rather than the bottle, to choosing a cake shape and design from two different cakes they offered. Everything was absolutely perfect. We were treated like royalty. I never had to go looking for a bridal attendant, they were always there to hold my bouquet, lipstick, bring a drink, etc. Special thank you to Christian for all his hard work. There are not enough words to describe how outstanding my wedding reception at the Candlewood Inn was! Christian and his team were absolutely incredible from the moment we first toured the property through to the moment we left after our wedding was over. The venue speaks for itself with the gorgeous lake views and stunning grounds. The inside was SHINING the day of my wedding, with a fresh coat of paint and newly washed chandeliers! Christian even took the time to help me decide on the perfect color for the uplighting that we added in, never losing patience with me and acting as if he had all the time in the world to help indecisive me decide on a color.
As soon as the limo bus pulled up with my husband and our bridal party we were treated like royalty. Our bridal attendants took excellent care of us, always making sure we had water, beverages, and food nearby. When my bustle on my dress broke a few times throughout the night, they were always prepared to help fix it.
The food was delicious, from the cocktail hour all the way to the gelato bar, my guests are still raving about it! Christian made sure that my husband and I took the time to sit down together so that we could enjoy our meal as well, something that was very important to us. He even got us our own special individual pieces of tiramisu, my favorite dessert, to go along with our wedding cake! Everywhere I looked that day, Christian was there making sure that my husband and I were having the best day of our lives.
To say that our wedding day was a dream come true is an understatement. The Candlewood Inn helped create a wedding day that was far beyond our dreams, it was absolutely perfect in every single day. Every single person working at our reception had a smile on their face and you could feel their genuine happiness for us, it did not seem like it was just another day at work for them. The Candlewood Inn is worth every single penny!

We had our son's wedding on July 2,2016 at the candlewood Inn and it was magical. The entire staff from the first day of planning till the day of the reception, made us feel that our wedding was going to be spectacular..... And it was. The venue speaks for its self on beautiful Candlewood lake. We have a summer home on the lake and dreamed of having our sons wedding their with all the beauty the lake has to offer. Having amazing weather could only add to the special feeling that the venue offers.
The food was 4 star, from the cocktail hour straight through to the Viennese hour that was top class. We would recommend this venue to any family looking to have an elegant wedding reception that truly became worry free for us. Many venues will promise you everything and when the special day arrives and you are disappointed, you can't redo the day. you have one chance to get it right and we are so happy we chose the Candlewood inn.

Our wedding at the Candlewood Inn was everything we could have hoped for and more. From booking to the big day everything went smoothly and Christian was great to work with. We arrived early for pictures and were welcomed with open arms. The bridal attendants went right to work making sure everyone was comfortable and hydrated, they blew us away. One of the attendants even found me on the bus as we were leaving with food in to go boxes for us to eat later! All the food was great, filet was our favorite! Our guests are still raving about the coffee cordial bar that they offer with dessert, highly recommended!

We got married at the candlewood inn on April 9, 2016. From booking with filomena to choosing the cake and food choices with Christian everything went smoothly. The day of our ceremony was perfect, the staff were so helpful and guests even complimented how everyone went above and beyond. The food and cake were delicious and the venue is gorgeous. We got married in July at Candlewood Inn and loved the whole experience! Christian and his crew made everything so easy and stress-free! My husband and I both had attendants the whole night checking in with us, grabbing us drinks and even helping my MOH bustle my dress! My biggest fear was the food since we were not allowed to do a tasting before, but the food was great! We added the gelato station and a pretzel exit station which our guests LOVED! The venue was beautiful and we got great pictures on the lawn as the sun was setting. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue and staff!

If you are looking to have the most perfect wedding experience that won't break the bank, then DEFINITELY book your wedding at the Candlewood. The staff is beyond professional. They were very attentive and very caring. Our wedding went off without a hitch and it was all due to Christian, Mario and their staff.
When we booked our wedding, I was a little nervous about the food, especially since there was no tasting, but everything was delicious and perfect. We ordered the filet mignon and the chicken piccata are our entrees and they were out of this world. The steaks were made to order and we like butter! And the wedding cake was included in the package!!!!
The venue is also beautiful! What more can you ask for??? The space, the staff and the delicious food made everything perfect!

The choice to get married at Candlewood Inn was an easy and obvious one! The venue speaks for itself. We had only visited a handful of other places and instantly knew when we drove up that this was where we wanted to say "I do." My husband and I got married over Memorial Day weekend. From the very beginning Christian and his staff were more than helpful and accommodating. They walked us through the entire planning process and helped alleviate some of the stress of planning a wedding. The weekend of our wedding Christian and his staff were by our side from the rehearsal dinner all the way through the end of our reception. From the ceremony through the reception Christian was there making everything run seamlessly. He was so much fun to work with! The biggest worry I had prior to the wedding was that they do not offer food tastings. If you are concerned about this, don't be! The food was fabulous. Our guests are still talking about the filet and how it was so tender it could be cut with just a fork. Thank you to Christian and his staff for a wonderful and memorable day! We couldn't be happier.

My daughter's wedding was Memorial Day weekend. There is no other venue worth looking at in Connecticut as Candlewood Inn has it all. The setting is amazing. The staff was absolutely incredible, especially Christian. Christian was the person we dealt with every step of the way, especially the rehearsal and evening of the wedding. He was incredibly attentive and wonderful to deal with. The food was plentiful and absolutely delicious. All of our guests were blown away by this wedding venue. Most people said, why would anyone look any place else. I would recommend Candlewood Inn to anyone without any reservations at all.

We made the decision to have our wedding at the Candlewood after only visiting 3 other venues. Why? Because some things just feel right. We were married here on 10/6/2013 and never could have imagined such an amazing experience. I want to get on to something important so first, allow me to quickly sum up the food & service: our guest list was comprised of 150 picky Greeks and Italians. Most of which work within the restaurant industry, It is now February, and people are still raving. Start to finish, everything was top notch. But the food is not why you need to get married here. From the day we signed w/ Filomena, to the day we first met with Christian right through the end of what was a dream wedding there was no way we could have asked for more effort, dedication, attention to detail or higher quality anything, No, our only issue was with mother nature. ten months of excitement about getting married lakeside, and we woke up to rain and fog leaving us to make that decision that those who want an outdoor ceremony fear the most. It was at that point Christian went from wedding coordinator to hero. clearly upset for us, but remaining calm cool and collective, he created a breath taking indoor ceremony, and even with guests starting to arrive for a 3:30 pm start he told us it was our call up through 3:15 pm when he came in from a steady drizzle with the weather app open on his phone and assured us that he could still set up outside within 15 minutes if we wanted to chance it. For the sake of our guests we chose to remain inside and still had a ceremony too beautiful for words. The dedication and support we received from Candlwood was something you don't see very often. There's a reason anyone in CT you mention it to asks if you're working with Christian. This time last year he was our wedding coordinator. By our wedding day he was family. And he always will be thanks to his amazing character and giant heart.

I am a little late on the review but my Husband and I got married at the Candlewood Inn June 9, 2013. It some how was the most gorgeous day despite the weather the rest of the week. The day couldn't have been more amazing and ALL of the staff was perfect at The Candlewood Inn. Everyone made me feel like a princess on my day, something I wasn't sure I would want... until I got it :) My husband and I were never without something to eat or drink. The timing of all aspects of the ceremony and reception had all be done perfectly, anything we had wanted had been executed. We did a sparkler exit without much planning but the staff made it a wonderful experience. Growing up taking the boat out on candlewood lake is some of my favorite childhood memories and The Candlewood Inn made it possible for such a beautiful lake to be a part of my life forever. I wouldn't have wanted my wedding day to have been at any other location, even the grandest in the country! The simplicity and elegance were simply breathtaking and the staff is unbeatable. I felt as if they were all my best friends by the end of the evening. Thank you Candlewood Inn for making our wedding day a perfect one!

Since the very first day we came and speak with Filomena, we knew this is "our place". The place is beautiful and breath taking. Christian, Marlene, Hillary and all the wait staff were great and very attentive to our need. They were beside me and my fiancée all night to make sure everything were taken care of. We had a Saturday wedding during the day at Candlewood Inn and everything was picture perfect!! The staff were attentive, asking me if Id like a drink or if they could retreive anything for me. They even made a new batch of Chicken Satay because we missed cocktail hour doing pictures. Christian organized everything, I felt doted on like a celebrity the entire time! Theres a beautiful suite upstairs for the bride to get ready in with a private bathroom. There was not a single mistake, the staff was professional, attentive, efficient and friendly. They really made me feel like a Queen. The food was also Excellent! I was so pleased with the feedback from my guests. But the number one thing this venue has going for it is its view. BEAUTIFUL! Photo ops everywhere, beautiful sparkly lake, just perfect. I would choose this place over and over again. You really do get what you pay for.

The Candlewood Inn was beyond amazing! The staff was fun, respectful and organized. They kept things on time and moving throughout the whole day. We have gotten SO many compliments on how beautiful the venue was inside and out, how amazing the food and cake was and how much fun the staff was. Christian and Marlene were excellent to work with throughout the year. We had a Saturday day wedding with the ceremony on the lake at the gazebo. A day wedding at Candlewood is so reasonable and the service is the same as a night wedding which is $45 more a person. I looked at 11 other venues and Candlewood by FAR offered the best of everything. We had two attendants assigned to us and they even helped bustle my dress! A Saturday day wedding is an amazing deal at Candlewood and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an impressive venue on a reasonable budget. We keep hearing "That was the best wedding we have EVER been to!!!"

There is no other word to describe the Candlewood Inn other than absolutely AMAZING. Ill start off by saying this was the first and only venue we ever looked at. We drove up to it and it's just so beautiful. The location of being right on the water is breath taking along with the landscaping is just stunning. We fell in love with it and booked it that day. Besides that fact of how beautiful the Candlewood Inn is the staff is most definitely the best part of it all.
Christian was our coordinator and he did a superb job is making sure everything was perfect for our special day. The whole team was so amazing. The wait staff made sure we always had a fresh cold drink in our hands from the time we pulled up to the Candlewood Inn all the way to the end of the night. Tony and Phil taught us how to "Wobble" on the dance floor- now that is a staff you could only wish to have!
The food was so declious, our guests are STILL talking about it now. It's been almost a month now since our wedding and everyone that went is still talking about it saying that is was one of the most beautiful and best overall weddings they've attended. All the credit goes to our vendors and The Candlewood Inn of course :)
So if you're a bride and groom out there looking for a venue, look no further, The Candlewood Inn will make your day more special than you could ever imagine. We couldn't have been happier!

The Candlewood Inn was amazing from start to finish. Christian and his staff were extremely attentive and very kind. Marlene was very nice and answered every question we had with a smile (and there were many). She seemed like she really likes her job.
We did not have to worry about anything the day of. We were told to just relax have fun and they would take care of the rest... and they did. The food was delicious. The ceremony was still beautiful despite having to move inside last minute due to the weather. Our guests are still commenting on how beautiful the venue was. Overall we had an amazing time and if we had to do it all over again we would not change a thing.

Matthew & I had a winter wedding at The Candlewood Inn. We had SUCH an incredible experience planning our event there. Christian & Marlene were extremely helpful & made the process very easy for us. They are organized and had great suggestions. I never doubted that our event was in great hands. Our guests raved about the location, the food, the service and overall atmosphere of our event. The food was delicious, the menu options were awesome (and plentiful) and they created the exact look we were trying to achieve for our ceremony & reception. I didnt have to think or worry at all in the process; they had everything under control!! I absolutely recommend The Candlewood Inn and we plan to use this venue for a future event!!

Unbelivable!! So great and easy to work with! Christian was able to answer all our questions and guide us every step of the way!! The food was amazing, the staff could not have been better!! We are still receiving comments from people that they have never been to a better venue with the view and amazing food!!! Wish we could do it all over again!!!

We got married the Friday post Hurricane Sandy and we could not have been happier than we were with the level of service at the Candlewood Inn. The entire staff was fantastic and Christian did a great job keeping the flow perfect for our wedding day. On the final hour we decided to move the wedding from outside to inside and it definitely exceeded my expectations. The food was great, drinks were plentiful and the grounds were well kept!
Thanks again to the Candlewood Inn staff!

Perfect! That is the best word to describe everything! Everything went perfect! Christian and the staff at The Candlewood were amazing! Every step was easy and smooth. We had absolutely no problems; our ceremony and reception were both at The Candlewood Inn. The location is absolutely gorgeous! I can’t wait to see the photos! The food was absolutely amazing we are still getting compliments on how good the food was! Everything was amazing! I highly recommend The Candlewood to anybody who wants to have a Perfect wedding day!

The Candlewood Inn provided me with my dream come true wedding!!! Thanks to Christian and his team, I can honestly say that my wedding was perfect. From the very first day that I met Christian he was extremely friendly and helpful. I constantly had questions for him throughout the planning process and he ALWAYS responded immediately and made me feel very calm. I trusted Christian and his team with a lot especially when it came to the set-up on my wedding day and they did not make one mistake!! Everything was just perfect and beautiful. On my wedding day, I felt like a princess and had that one-on-one attention that is so important for all brides to have on their special day. I am from NY and I did not want to get married at the typical NY venue, so I discovered The Candlewood Inn and immediately fell in love with its beauty. Well, not only did I fall in love with its' beauty, but I also feel in love with the way that the entire staff made me feel from day one of planning all the way through my wedding day. If you want to have a magical wedding and deal with a friendly, and personable staff then plan your dream wedding at the Candlewood Inn! Thank you Christian and the entire staff for making my wedding the most amazing day of my life!!! P.S. The food was amazing as well!!! From the Fried Mac and Cheese and Goat Cheese Medallions to the Filet Mignon and Ice Cream Bar...OMG!!!!! Loved EVERYTHING!!

I could not have been happier choosing The Candlewood Inn as our reception venue. When looking at reception venues earlier in the planning stages, I had selected three in CT, and set up site visits at each- all booked for a weekend in January. The Candlewood Inn was the first place I saw, and I immediately cancelled my other site visits and booked! Their reception hall is immaculate, and is backdropped by a breathtaking view of Candlewood Lake. It was a wonderful spot for guests to relax and stroll the grounds with cocktails and hors d'oeurves, and our pictures set against the lake were amazing. The meal choices and appetizers were outstanding, the bar was well stocked and well attended, and the waitstaff was extremely attentive to not only our guests but to myself, my husband and our bridal party. They brought us cocktails and ice water, stocked us with our own hors d'oeurves, and even got my sister an icepack after she was stung by a bee during our photo shoot! Months later I am still getting phone calls and emails about how beautiful our wedding was, and The Candlewood Inn was the perfect location!

We could not have asked for more on our wedding day from the Candlewood Inn. During the year and half before our wedding day, Christian and his staff were extremely helpful and a pleasure to work with. They were very organized and helped to keep us stress free. On the day of our wedding the staff was so attentive and ensured that our guests and us (the bride and groom) were having a good time. We even had two lovely staff members assigned to us all day. They brought food from our cocktail hour to the bridal suite to ensure that we were able to enjoy our cocktail hour. All of the food was excellent, all our guests were commenting on it. The cake that their in house bakery made looked amazing and was delicious. And one cannot forget the beautiful view of Candlewood Lake. Overall we could not have been happier with The Candlewood Inn and their wonderful team.

Candlewood was absolutely amazing. Our wedding day was magic thanks to Christian and his staff. The venue is beautiful, the food is delicious, and the service is incredible. I just cannot say enough about this place. They were so helpful and so flexible leading up to the event, and on the day of the wedding, they were more than attentive. Someone stepped on my dress and my bustle ripped, and before I knew it, someone was at my table to fix it. Candlewood exceeded all of my expectations, and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a gorgeous reception site, great food, and friendly, professional staff.

We had our wedding reception at The Candlewood Inn and were blown away by all of the individual attention and professionalism of the staff. All throughout the planning process the staff could not be more helpful and did all they could to make the planning easy and transparent!
On our big day everything went so well thanks to Christian (Event Manager) and all of the staff who made everything so easy and special. This venue is one in a million, the setting on the lake side is unbeatable, the food is delicious with great portions, and the staff are so friendly and helpful. They truly went above and beyond to include all of the unique special details that we wanted for our day. When we walked into the reception room we were speechless to how beautiful everything looked!
We couldn't imagine our event happening anywhere else!

My husband and I had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Candlewood Inn in the beginning of October. From the start, Christian and Christina were extremely helpful and open to what we asked for during the 10 months it took us to plan, which simplified what can normally be a very tedious job. The actual night of the wedding couldn't have been more amazing. The setting of our ceremony was absolutely stunning, and the professional staff went above and beyond to ensure that not only my husband and I were taken care of, but that all of my guests felt important during their time at our reception. I am still receiving rave reviews from family and friends about the delicious food, the service, and about how beautiful the venue was for our wedding. I want to thank the entire staff of the Candlewood Inn for making our special night the best night of our lives!

10 out of 10, I would rate The Candlewood Inn a 20 out of 10 if I could. The food was delicious, my family and friends are STILL talking about it. The view is the backdrop for most of our wedding photos, and even though we got married in March, the pictures are GORGEOUS. The sunsets are out of this world, rain, sleet, snow, or shine, this place steals your breath. The service was impeccable, so much so that I actually took a moment to thank all the people bussing the tables and cleaning up at the end of my reception. Courteous and professional, they went above and beyond and knocked our socks off!!

Our experience with the candlewood Inn was nothing short of fantastic. The food was out of this world, the quality of service provided to the bridal party, my family (the bride) and all of our guests was fantastic. During the reception you didn't even notice the staff, but right when I needed something they would appear out of nowhere to help. Christian was my coordinator and he was fantastic. Every detail was taken care of, everything was beautiful, and thanks to him, everything flowed beautifully.
