The Cakewalk shop is AMAZING! They made us the most perfect wedding cake. We had a dream of having pressed flowers on the cake, and they perfectly executed the vision. It was more beautiful than any of the inspiration pictures we shared!! It was also so delicious!!! And the team was very flexible and helpful with getting it to the wedding on time and set up perfectly. Thank you!!

Customizable cakes, great flavors

Purchased a two tier cake and about 170 cupcakes for my guests. They did a great job dropping everything off, decorating the cake with the flowers my florist provided, and everyone loved the flavors.

Stunning cake and service!

I am so happy I used The Cakewalk Shop for my wedding cake. It was absolutely beautiful! After the ceremony, my bridesmaids excitedly pulled me aside and said I had to go look at my cake! I had guests commenting not only on the look but the delicious flavor as well. I had sent Johanna a couple of pictures of ones I liked, and she pulled it off fabulously. She was very communicative and I had no issues with delivery (to Whidbey Island)- all the details were hashed out well in advance so I didn't have to worry about a thing come wedding day. Absolutely recommend!

Amazing!!!!

I can't even begin to find words for how amazing our wedding cake was this weekend. It was truly the most perfect cake. The design was everything we could have ever hoped for! All of our guests were blown away to find out that the flowers on our cake weren't real, but sugar!! The design was truly perfection. Now the cake itself? AMAZING!!!!! Omg, it was so good - we even had a few bakery professional guests who were blown away by how delicious the cake was. I can't recommend The Cakewalk Shop enough... if you want a cake that will blow your mind (and your taste buds) don't even think twice... call these ladies!!

Best wedding dessert table!

All I can say is WOW! The desserts were all amazing. Everyone raved at how awesome the dessert table looked and tasted. Cake was beautiful and delicious. All the cupcakes, cookies, macarons and cake pops tasted amazing. Better then the tasting even! Everything was perfect and better than I even thought possible. Definitely the highlight of my wedding!

Absolutely Perfect

I'm so glad I found this shop for my wedding! We were so impressed with everything they had to offer, and the price really couldn't be beat. We ordered our wedding cake as well as a dessert buffet that included cookies, mini pies, cheesecake shooters, lemon bars, and meringues. The desserts were gone before we even had a chance to cut the cake (luckily our wonderful caterer set some aside for us)! Our guests raved about how good everything was, and the display for gorgeous! At our tasting, I gave them an idea of the look I was going for and they hit it out of the park! Every detail was perfect.

The Cakewalk Shop did a fantastic job with our cake and a dessert table. All of the desserts were a hit with our guests. They were really helpful as we were planning how big of a cake and how many other desserts we would need. The cake was beautiful and had amazing sugar flowers decorating it. It was also delicious cake!

My experience with the cakewalk shop was amazing to say the least. I was behind on my planning, but they managed to accommodate me on short notice and still provide an absolutely amazing cake. We went in for a tasting and I said "ferns" & "blue?" and they sketched the idea right then and there. It's like they knew exactly what I was going for. When they delivered, I provided the flowers and ferns and they decorated on site. When I returned to the dessert table to see their work, I was literally speechless. I wish I could have kept it forever, it was too beautiful to eat. I thought in my short time frame that I'd have to settle for simply decorated, but they made my dreams come true. Oh, and the "blue" velvet we asked for was absolutely delicious too!!!

We cannot thank Tamera and Johanna enough for all that they did for us. Tamera's ideas and guidance helped us make a truly unforgettable day with memories that will last a lifetime. We had the most amazing lemon cake with a passion fruit filling. A simple black and white cake on the exterior, but when we cut into it, there were 7 brightly colored layers of the rainbow. We paired that with matching flavor cupcakes for the guest. We also had amazing chocolate cupcake filled with dark chocolate ganache and topped with salted caramel buttercream. We highly recommend this amazing team!

I can't thank Johanna and Tamara enough for crafting up the perfect wedding cake for our wedding day. Not only do I think that their cake is the best around, but I was looking for some specific flavors and they ended up creating a new cake recipe for us. I was looking for a cake that wasn't too sweet, so they created a sour cream pound cake with white chocolate filling and summer berries inside. I can't even tell you how delicious it was. For our second flavor, we chose from their menu and ended up with chocolate with salted caramel frosting and brittle inside. We did a fresh berry sauce for guests to pour over the cake. Guests are still raving about how delicious our cake was.

As for our design, by the time we went in for our cake tasting I was "decisioned-out." I had some photos of things that i liked, but couldn't choose just one to save my life and honestly didn't care. I just wanted it to look pretty. In the end, I told them to just have fun and create something they thought was beautiful. I walked into our reception and was BLOWN AWAY by our cake. It was so perfect and gorgeous. There are so many pretty cakes, but it was fun to see what they envisioned along with the rest of the design for the wedding I had shown them.

Finally, I had secretly planned a groom's cake with Johanna. My husband was so surprised and it was really fun to see how they crafted the arena floor for his favorite basketball team.

Our wedding cake was beautiful and delicious. We had a smaller cake and a variety of dessert options. Pies, mini cupcakes, macaroons, tarts. Everything went.

My husband and I LOVED our experience with The Cakewalk Shop. The mother-daughter team did an amazing job with our cupcakes, beautiful wedding cake, and helping to set up the cake table. Everyone loved the cake flavors (browned butter is amazing!) and the cake table looked dreamy. We would absolutely recommend them!

The Cakewalk Shop provided our cutting cake, cupcakes for guests and french macarons as our wedding favors and they were fantastic. They were flexible in scheduling a tasting outside their typical hours and responsive to our questions. In addition, they generously offered help to box our macarons. We received many compliments from our guests on how delicious everything was. I would definitely recommend them!

SOOOO Yummy! Cakewalk Shop was so easy & fun to work with. The cake tastes as good as it looks, too!
My husband & I actually booked them before doing a tasting because the reviews were so high and we were not disappointed.
Upon finally testing out the flavors, we tried 4 different kinds of cake and numerous toppings to the point where it became difficult to choose. We settled on alternating tiers of red velvet & spice cake. The day of the wedding the cake arrived early and it was stunning! Would recommend Cakewalk to all future couples as the price point and quality are top notch.

I was in a crunch as my prior baker disappeared so going off of online reviews only, I bought a cake from The Cakewalk Shop.....and I was NOT disappointed! We chose two flavor combinations for our cake: the salted caramel filling was TO DIE FOR and the champagne cake was so delicate it melted in your mouth. The customer service was very helpful and her kind words calmed my stress. I have referred several friends and family to her and will continue to do so.

When we first visited our venue, Swans Trail Farms, we heard there was a bakery onsite and were thrilled to learn that they made not only cakes, but pies too! After tasting the pie holes (single serving pies), we were completely sold and decided to get a small two tier cake from them too. They waived the minimum cake cost for us and allowed us to use a cake stand of our choice at no additional cost since we got married onsite. They even baked the pie holes that evening and brought them out to our reception still warm from the oven! They were a huge hit and the cake was absolutely delicious too! We couldn't be happier with our experience with The Cakewalk Shop!

We first heard about The Cakewalk Shop at a vendor open house held by Antheia Ballroom. We were able to sample the different cakes and frostings. We talked with the staff and came up with what we wanted the cake to look like as well as the different flavors available. We decided on a 6" round cake and 8 dozen cupcakes. We had 2 different flavored cupcakes and our 6" round wedding cake was a different flavor than the cupcakes. We really liked the fact we were able to have such a variety of flavors at no additional cost. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how moist and delicious the cupcakes were. We were so happy with our experience that we voted for them in the category of Best Wedding Cake in the Best of Western Washington contest. We highly recommended The Cakewalk Shop.

Can we just say AMAZING and DELICIOUS!! You have to give The Cakewalk Shop a try!!

I am not a sweets person; I am not even a big fan of cake. I usually pass when cake is offered because it always just seems so plain and not exciting. All of that changed when we met with the ladies of The Cakewalk Shop!

We had the brown butter cake with coconut and salted caramel filling and it was divine! ME…The person who didn’t like cake was in heaven and I couldn’t wait until our wedding to share the amazingness The Cakewalk Shop is with everyone.

We definitely had to share a whole lot sooner so we ordered our wedding cake flavors for two birthdays in our family before the big day. EVERYONE couldn’t stop talking about how delicious the cake was! We had family as excited as we were to eat cake at our reception.

The cake was beautiful and exactly what we wanted. It was simple yet elegant and matched our wedding perfectly!

We tried a lot of cake that just didn’t really do it for us before going to The Cakewalk Shop. We were glad we found them! We had a beautiful and delicious cake that was right within our budget yet looked like we could have spent a pretty penny!

We had a very simple cake in mind, though of course we knew that a simple result often takes more work to pull off than the extravagant look. The tasting was fun, and we felt we had good guidance on what would and wouldn't work, which really helped. The end result was perfect and not only looked good, but matched the day perfectly and tasted amazing.

First off Yum! There cake is delicious! The cake tasting was fun, they let us try several cake flavors and different types of frostings and we could even mix and match! They let my fiancé and I alone for a little bit so we could discuss which was our favorites and which combinations we liked. We thought this was so nice!
They were so flexible with the amount of cake I ordered...Originally I had anticipated 160 guests but ended up with 130. About 2 weeks before I called and asked if I could change the size of the sheet cake and they worked with me so I didn't pay for extra cake!
The caterer I used said my cake was the prettiest cake she has seen! The Cakewalk Shop did an amazing job. I had showed them a few pictures of ideas and they did a drawing of their ideas and I told them to go with it. It was so beautiful!

Tamara and Johanna are so wonderful! They made an absolutely beautiful and delicious cake (or two..)! So many different flavors to choose from, and all so wonderful! We had a 3-tier cake as well as a groom's cake. Top and bottom tiers were lemon cake with one layer of lemon curd, 2 layers of raspberry buttercream, middle tier was browned butter cake with milk chocolate ganache, and groom's cake was carrot cake with spiced cream cheese and ginger. All flavors were a hit!

This place was amazing! I was planning my seattle wedding from CO and were able to fit me in last minute for a tasting when I was only in town one weekend in June. The tasting was great with a wide selection of cakes and frostings and worked very well with the venue, they were just down the street. On the day of they delivered everything and the catering staff set up (so things wouldn't melt in sunlight). Everybody LOVED the cupcakes! We loved our adorable cutting cake! We had 3 cupcake flavors for our guests and our cake for us. They were beautifully decorated and tasted great!

I cant say enough good things about the cakewalk shop! They exceeded all my expectations. Booking with them was easy, my cake tasting and design planning was a relaxing and fun experience. When I saw my cake for the first time on my wedding day I jumped and squealed like a little girl. It was perfect. They followed my design to a T, nailed my colors perfectly and holy moly was it ever delicious! The cake was so fresh and the flavors were in perfect harmony. Not to mention the sugar flowers on top were little works of art, themselves. They even found me a mint cake plate to use that was identical to the one I had been searching for (without any luck). The whole process with the cakewalk shop was a breeze and im SO glad I found them! To think I was going to just get a grocery store cake and call it good. Would have been a terrible mistake. I highly recommend them, they know their cake!

The cakewalk shop is simply amazing. Fantastic service with true professionalism and friendliness . They are very attentive to my requests and were very prompt with my emails and questions. I ordered a custom made three tier cake for a woodland themed baby shower. Cakewalk was amazing in replicating the picture of the cake I wanted but also added a creative and artistic emblem. The cake was the talk of the party. The brown butter cake with salted Carmel filling and the red velvet cake with cream cheese filling was delicious. I had many inquiries about the bakery and I would recommend them to anyone.

The cake here is SO delicious! Everyone asked for more! We had the browned butter cake with raspberry mousse and lemon cream cheese filling for one of the cakes and a browned butter cake with chocolate ganache and caramel for another cake. They were winners!

I had attended an open house in which I brought my bridal party, my husbands aunt, my brother and his girlfriend to. They were very eager to get us seated, as we were eager to enjoy some cake. Everyone was polite in answering any questions that we had. They provided many different kinds of cakes to try. We exchanged ideas and that night when I got home I sent in the down payment (via paypal).

On our wedding day, the cake was GORGEOUS. I didn't even want to cut into it, although I had been waiting almost a year to eat that amazing cake again.

I know that if any of my friends or family need a cake, for any occasion, that I will recommend The Cakewalk Shop!

This vendor was very easy to work with. The cake was delicious, but like almost every wedding cake I've tried, a little dry. Our cake was browned butter flavor with salted caramel frosting - so delicious! It was simple with no cake topper, just burlap lace around the bottom of each tier. We had 4 tiers which was enough for 200 people and it cost right around $700 total. That's a lot of money for some (including myself) but we were honestly lucky to find a cake vendor that inexpensive. Overall, it was definitely worth it.

Tamara was AMAZING to work with! Not only was she able to take our order on short notice (we only had about a month to plan our wedding due to family health problems), she made our order PERFECTLY! My groom and I had wanted cheesecake cupcakes as well as some other flavored cupcakes--so kind of a strange request. Tamara knew exactly what it was that we were thinking of and had cheese cake in addition to all of the other flavors of cake and frosting present at the tasting. She allowed us to try different combinations of cakes, frostings, ganaches, and fillings. It was so much fun and beyond delicious. She managed to incorporate all of our wedding colors into the cakes (light blue and silver) while having them still look tasteful and delicate. There were no left overs after the wedding and I definitely saw a few people go back for more. I would highly, highly recommend The Cakewalk Shop for your wedding cake needs! They are fantastic!!!

Tamara did an AMAZING job on my cake. It was incredibly beautiful and not to mention outstandingly delicious. We had two layers one with white cake and lemon mousse filling and one with chocolate cake and orange cream cheese filling. Tamara is so easy to work with and has great ideas and input. I have recommend The Cakewalk Shop to all of my friends and family. Amazing cakes!

My sister and I both ordered our cakes from The Cake Walk Shop. My sister's was red velvet with salted carmel filling and fondant frosting. I chose two different flavors: vanilla with strawberry cream from scratch and chocolate fudge with lime curd. Both were absolutely delicious. My sister's was a gorgeous black and white damask. Mine was a pretty cream color with handmade pink peony flowers. Both were absolutely gorgeous. The cake tasting was also awesome. We got to try so many different cake flavors and filling flavors. It was so much fun. Tamara was very prompt with the appointment and offered good advice. I would definitely recommend her to anyone.

Absolutely perfect!! The cake was actually as delicious as it was beautiful. Almost unheard of in a wedding cake. There were so many options we couldn't choose just one and went with an assortment. A cake topper, cupcakes of various flavors, different decorations on each different flavor etc. Each one was a work of art. I am generally not an easy client. I know I am picky and have perfectionist tendencies, so trust me when I say that I was not just satisfied but seriously impressed.

I would recommend The Cakewalk Shop to anyone! I was told by so many of my guests that our cake was the most delicious cake they had ever eaten and they couldn't believe it was a wedding cake. The chocolate fudge with salted caramel filling and real buttermilk frosting were to die for! The cake also looked so beautiful and matched our theme perfectly! The Cake was definetly one of my favorite parts of our wedding. I wish she sold her cakes in a bakery because they put all other cakes to shame. At the cake testing, we discovered they are all delicious and it was hard to pick one, but it was sure fun to figure out! The Cakewalk Shop is something special!

When was the last time you thought a wedding cake tasted good? My cake and cupcakes were beautiful, unique, and delicious. All guests marveled over the flavors. There are so many lovely cakes to choose from. Tamara's taste level is very high. You can depend on everything being done right.

The Cakewalk Shop provided my mother and father a walk back in time for their 50th Wedding Anniversary. I ordered the exact cake from their wedding for their anniversary party (we had a photo to work with). The cake turned out even better than the original, because everything on it was edible! We ordered wedding Pie for our 3.14.15 wedding and they were delicious and affordable. We ordered apple and mixed berry and people couldn't stop raving about the berry! We found Cakewalk Shop through our venue and they worked with our coordinator to deliver everything- it was seamless. I would definitely order pies from them again!

Tasty and beautiful cake!

Our cake was delicious and the girls at Cake Walk shop are so sweet and great to work with! the only thing we had problems with was communication at times but we enjoyed the cake and how beautiful it was! We chan he s our flavors and Johanna was more than happy to help with suggestions and figuring out a solution for us!

Our wedding cake, and miniature pies, pie holes, for our wedding were AMAZING! Johanna is an absolute delight. We had so much fun at our cake tasting, and knew we wanted to book with her for our big day. Our cake look beautiful with fresh flowers from our florist, and tasted just as delicious as it looked! Our guests absolutely loved our cake, and our pie holes. We had key lime (to DIE for) and marionberry. Johanna was also super responsive and helpful along the way! I highly recommend this mother, daughter shop!

Tamara was able to organize a late evening tasting for us since we were out of town bride and groom. Everything tasted good and she gave us suggestion what when together. I had a couple changes after our initial meeting on the decoration, but Tamera and Johanna knew what I wanted. On the day of the wedding, the cake was delivered and it was exactly what we wanted. It tasted delicious as well! I would recommend them!

The desserts were delicious and the dessert table looked beautiful! We loved visiting the shop and having our tasting, and they were great at providing accommodations for vegan and gluten free guests. They even picked up the platters at the end of the evening (which is typically an extra fee). The only thing they need to work on is their response time with emails. Other than that they were great and we would absolutely work with them again!

We were pretty easy customers for wedding cake. I really wanted my parents who live out of town to come tasting with us so I needed a place that would let us taste on a weekend. The tasting set up was so adorable and I loved that we got to mix and match our own tasting!

We never heard back about paying the bill off before the due date but after I sent an email we got the invoice and it was taken care of pretty quickly.

The cake tasted great on the day of and looked BEAUTIFUL! It was simple and perfect the way I wanted it and they coordinated with my florist to arrange flowers on it on the day of. They also made me a custom topper and I am saving it in my wedding keepsake box!

The cake was absolutely beautiful and tasted amazing. The caked showed up on time which was an absolute plus! Only negative thing I have to say is that it took longer than my personal preference on the response time to e-mails and phone calls.

Provided a complimentary cake tasting in their quaint shop. After we decided to book with the cakewalk shop we mailed our signed contract and deposit, several months later as the wedding was approaching I received an email stating that there was no records of my signed contract or payment. After proving that the check had been cashed and sending a new contract we had no further issues. I had many compliments from my guests about how beautiful my cake was and many guests didn't think it was real because the frosting looked flawless. We had a four tier cake with two flavors, two tiers were a white cake with raspberry buttercream and white chocolate ganache and the other two tiers were white cake with orange buttercream and dark chocolate ganache. The flavor and texture of the cake was very good. The only issue we had was the minor miscommunication about the deposit and contract which was quickly taken care of.

I was a little disappointed with the final cake because the color was not correct. Also - the cake was kind of dry. When I pay $750 for a cake - I kind of expect it to be perfect. I honestly wish I would have went with Simply Desserts in Fremont - even though they don't actually do wedding cakes. At least I know the cake would have been delicious. : (

I wish I could agree with the other reviews, but my experience with Tamara was far from good. My husband and I had sampled her cakes at 2 other weddings andwe loved them, which is why we chose her to make our wedding cake...big mistake. She made us a 3 tier cake and 2 smaller side cakes and unfortunatley none of them tasted good. The vanilla cakes was very dry and the chocolate cakes were only slightly better. We asked for raspberry filling in the vanilla cake and she incorrectly used strawberry. The salted caramel filling in the chocolate cakes was so faint our guests asked us what the flavor was. The buttercream on all 5 cakes was incredibly greasy and tasted nothing like buttercream. We had guests ask us, at the wedding, what happened to the cake...it was very embarrassing. My mom emailed Tamara to make a complaint and when we met with her, I was shocked by how rude and condescending she was to us. She essentially implied that my mom and I were liars because she's never had a complaint before. That's fine if she's never had a complaint, but don't imply that we are lying. She offered no apology whatsoever nor did she offer any type of compensation. I am still so very disappointed and saddened by the entire experience. I would not recommend the Cake Walk Shop to any bride.
