Beautiful & Delicious

The cake was absolutely beautiful and delicious! Amy was easy to get a hold of, and she even let us borrow a cake stand. It was really fun getting to try different cakes before the wedding, and her chocolate cake is amazing! I would highly recommend

Our wedding cake was stunning and absolutely delicious. Amy was such a dream to communicate with and offered great suggestions for the size and decor of the cake. All our guests commented how delicious it was!

Cake was a stunner!

The Cakery delivered on every expectation for a gorgeous and delicious cake. We loved our cake and enjoyed working with Amy to design it. Amy was also tremendously helpful in baking our favors which included cookies from our heritages (German & Italian) for our guests to enjoy. I would highly recommend The Cakery if you're looking for a delicious wedding cake that can be created to suit exactly what you're looking for and more! We can't wait to enjoy our top tier at our one year anniversary!

Lovely Experience

Amy is one talented baker. Our wedding cake was so good we ran out! She also offers tasting options to allow couples to decide on flavors though they were all so good it was actually quite hard to make decisions!

Delicious, beautiful, moist cake!

Everyone knows what it is like to go to a wedding and be totally disappointed with the cake (like at my own!) but for my daughter’s wedding we decided to go with The Cakery and did not regret that decision one bit! We ordered 400 cupcakes plus a two tier cake and there wasn’t one bit left. In hind sight I should have ordered double that! Who knew some people loved the cupcakes so much that they came back for 3 or 4 MORE!! I highly recommend The Cakery and promise you will not be disappointed!

Wedding Cake of my DREAMS

Amy at The Cakery took my design inspo photos and created the wedding cake of my dreams! Our other vendor backed out last minute and she was able to squeeze us in. The cake was STUNNING, we got so many compliments on it. Not to mention it was so tasty! I would highly recommend Amy at The Cakery!

Our Custom Cake was Perfection!

I contacted Amy within 2 months of our wedding date as our first baker backed out. I had my heart set on an Earl Grey Tea Cake with Honey Buttercream. I later requested she decorate it with raw honeycomb. Amy shared her excitement in trying something new and provided an incredible sampling. She shared with me her plans for it's aesthetic, and it came out more beautiful than I could imagine! I highly recommend the Cakery to anyone!

Highly Recommend!

We love The Cakery! Both Lonielle and Amy were fantastic to work with. Our tasting with Amy was so much fun, and because all of their cake flavors are so delicious, it was hard to narrow down our selections! Amy was super helpful and accomodating as we discussed options for our wedding cake and cupcakes, and she was attentive to every detail as we talked through our vision. Not only were we able to ultimately select a variety of flavors (funfetti!) and frostings, but she was able to provide gluten-free cupcakes for some of our guests. Cutting our cake on our wedding day was such a fun and memorable moment - the cake was absolutely gorgeous, and exactly what we were envisioning! The cupcakes for our dessert table were also incredible, and everything tasted so amazing! We were thrilled with our desserts from The Cakery - thank you, Amy and Lonielle!!

Simply the Best!!

The Cakery was the best choice for our wedding! Lonielle was super professional, accommodating and so easy to work with but maybe most importantly her cakes are amazing! All of the flavors are simple and delicious and Lonielle does an exceptional job at decorating - ours was beautiful and I don't think there's any design she can't do! We could not have been happier and now even a year later the cake is just as good as it was on our wedding day! Thank you Lonielle!!

Best experience with The Cakery

I tried out several bakeries for my wedding. The Cakery was the absolute best out of everyone. I wanted variety of cupcakes and a small his/her cake. So we ordered several dozens of options of cupcakes for our guests to pick from. The taste and presentation was beautiful and amazing. I had so many guests ask me where they were made. I had to make sure my planner pulled some aside for me after the wedding because I didn't want to miss out. She was so polite, professional, and helpful at making my vision come to life. I cannot wait to order again for any other occasion we will have. Thank you Cakery, we were so happy with our order and we know others will be too.

In it to win it? The Cakery will take you there.

Dear Cake-Seeker,

My husband and I had a vision of a geode cake, featuring amethyst (my birthstone) and aquamarine (his birthstone), ombre with gold features.

We knew from the moment we were stuffing carrot, chocolate, and vanilla cake rounds in our mouths that we found “the one” (that raspberry marmalade will melt your mind into some river of sweet divine). We were further committed as we got to know Lonielle, and she presented us with a sketch of said vision. Fast forward to person, it was stunning. A show-stopper. Mountain of magic. An exhibit to marvel.

Our guests were served two cakes: a chocolate ganache + cream cheese and a vanilla with strawberry marmalade + cream cheese. The strawberry marmalade was a special request, and Lonielle brought it to down to us directly from the heavens.

As a special thank you to my mom, we asked Lonielle to make us a 5” heart cake, imitating colors and details of my mom’s dress (we sent her a pic). Carrot was the obvious flavor choice simply because we could eat it all day. Lonielle grows the carrots in her garden.

The Cakery is a mandatory stop on your quest for cake. It will also be your endgame.

Dream Wedding Cake

Lonielle at The Cakery is a pleasure to work with and made the wedding cake of our dreams! From our initial consultation, we knew she was the one for the job — she really listened to our vision and her delicious samples made it hard to decide which flavors to pick (we mixed and matched a few layers).

Our guests loved the cake just as much as we did and we couldn’t recommend The Cakery more for your special day or event!

Amazing service - delicious cake

Lonielle was amazing! She was one of the easiest vendors to work with! Great communication and knowledgeable. She helped design a cake to hold the cake topper I selected, gave the best recommendations for flavors, and made sure everything was seamless for our day! We got SO many compliments on our cupcakes and our cake. I am so grateful we used The Cakery!

Amazing little cactus cake

We used Lonielle from The Cakery for our recent colorful cactus themed wedding in Oct 2018 at the recommendation of our wedding planner. During our tasting she had lots of different options to choose from, we settled on chocolate cake with cream cheese and chocolate ganache icing/filling which was delicious even a month later when we cut some from the frozen cake we saved. We did a small cutting cake only as we had a separate dessert for guests. When we asked her short notice (less than a month to go before for the wedding) to add little cacti to the top she was quick to respond with "no problem" and the cost was totally reasonable! The outcome was perfect :)

Absolutely wonderful!

We had a pleasure to work with Lonielle for our wedding in June! She made our wonderful 2-tier wedding cake and mini cakes to feed our guests. The wedding cake was truly a piece of art!!! I literally cried when I saw it on my wedding day. It was absolutely gorgeous, and Lonielle made every effort to make it exactly as I imagined it! She even went as far as looking for edible rose gold foil for us!! In the end, it’s not something that exists out there, so she made sure the cake had the detail I wanted and took all precaustions so that we (or our guests) don’t end up eating inedible pieces of cake :) we froze a half of our cake and I can’t wait to have it for our first wedding anniversary.

The mini cakes were an absolute hit with our guests, we are still hearing the feedback about how amazing they were. So much so that I only had a HANDFUL of them left the next day - the guests cleared them out!

Thank you so much Lonielle for making our day so special and finger-licking tasty! :)

Awesome Experience!

Lionelle was very professional and understood exactly what I want.
Her cake is not too heavy, not too sweet, but very airy with right amount of icing.
I personally never liked the American cake, but hers!!! I can eat the whole thing.

My guests really loved it too.

Best cake ever!

Lonielle is the BEST cake baker I have ever met! Our cake was so beautiful and tasty! I wish I had her skills. My husband and I came in for a tasting about a year before our wedding and we are not sweets people, but we could eat her cake everyday! I would NOT book anyone else. The cake was not overly sweet, it was not dry, it was simply perfection. I would highly recommend The Cakery. I honestly would request a cake from her again for any event my husband and I are having. Lonielle, please do not change a thing! I'm sure you will be hearing from us again soon.

I first met Lonielle at a bridal fair where, after having just one sample, I knew that not only was she the one for us, but also that I’d just eaten the best cake EVER (and I’ve eaten a lot of cake in 64 years!). Our cake was as delicious as it was beautiful. Working with Lonielle was so easy and fun. She is great about responding right away to phone calls or emails, and is a true delight. I had seen a “sunset” cake on her website, and together we took that vision and made it even more beautiful, with blue skies adding to the colors and our theme of “All My Tomorrows.” We had a small, two-layer cake: one layer was devil’s food with dark chocolate granache, and the other layer was white cake with raspberry cream cheese filling. Even cold leftovers (and I made sure they gave me a lot) were still incredibly delicious. When we walked into our venue and saw Lonielle’s creation, it was magical. Lonielle, and The Cakery, are the ones you want for your special day, believe me.

We used the The Cakery for our August wedding in Paso Robles and they were AMAZING! From setting up an appointment for the cake tasting, to the final product at the wedding, everything was perfect! Lonielle was able to see my vision from pictures I brought and brought my idea to life. We did cupcakes for all our wedding guests and we are STILL getting compliments about them. We used the Cakery for our wedding this past November. We did a tasting in Aug, and had a blast! She was so accommodating, and like everyone said, it was hard to pick the flavors!! Working with The Cakery was such a pleasure. Lonielle always stayed in contact, answering my MANY questions! She was so flexible with my changing guest list and made sure to accommodate the amount of cake with the amount of guests we were having. When my husband and I went to the tasting, we were so amazed at the taste of the cake! The cake designs she had were beautiful but the best part was the actual taste of the cake! It was delicious! The cake was soft, the buttercream complimented the cake so well! The buttercream flavors weren't overbearing. I couldn't stop eating my cake! Thank you Lonielle!

We loved our wedding cake! We met with Lonielle for an initial conversation about a concept. My wife had an idea for doing mini cakes, almost like cupcakes, and then one main cake for our anniversary. We found a photo on Pinterest of a design which featured leaves made of chocolate going up the side of the cake, and she re created it perfectly and delivered exactly what we were looking for. Everything tasted amazing, it had an artisan quality to it. Our guests are still talking about those little cakes. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a cake for their wedding. five stars!

I spoke with Lonielle over the phone and we were able to discuss all the details of my wedding. She made a gluten free cutting cake that was amazing! I also ordered 'minis' which are small bite size pieces of cake. The cake was moist and the frosting was so good for both items I ordered. I had flowers for her to put on the cake, along with the cake topper and she made it look beautiful. I couldn't have been happier with choosing The Cakery!

Lonielle was great to work with! She provided my husband and I a great wedding cake tasting experience and had many different flavors for us to try. She was prompt to answer our questions and stayed in contact through the course of our planning. Planning a wedding is stressful, however, she handled the cake and I didn't worry about a thing! She delivered it to our venue without complication and adorned it beautifully with flowers. Our cake was beautiful and our guests talked about how good it tasted! Lonielle was so great to work with when we were talking cake flavors and style. I cannot express in words how flavorful and moist her cakes are. She gave us everything we wanted and more! Lonielle from the The Cakery was excellent! Although we didn't use her talent for a wedding cake, it was a big event cake that could compete with the best of them. My daughter had a themed Quince, aka 15. Lonielle created a beautiful design that captured her ideas and brought the theme to life. Not only was it great looking, but it tasted amazing. Her red velvet is super yummy. When the day comes for my daughter's wedding; we'll definitely ask her to make her wedding cake. :)

Lonielle at The Cakery is a brides dream come true! Her cakes are not only stunning, but they are DELICIOUS! I ordered a three tier cake with every layer a different flavor (raspberry jam with vanilla cream frosting, chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting, and spice cake with pumpkin frosting....all of which were scrumptious). The cake looked great and tasted even better! They were easy to work with and everything happened just as they had promised. Now we need another event so we have an excuse to order another cake!

Lonielle is the best. Seriously. I had a very specific edible lace design in mind, one that was new to her. She had to research and go through some trial and error on her own time to make it happen. Not only did she deliver but it was GORGEOUS; exactly as I envisioned!! And to top it off, the cake was delicious!

Lonielle is a true professional and master of her craft. My husband and I loved working with her and we had a blast at our cake tasting :-) Thank you, Lonielle, for crafting such a beautiful cake and making my wedding day so special and memorable!

The Cakery created a fantastic cake for our 50th anniversary which was celebrated at a winery here in Paso Robles. I had seen a picture in a magazine and tried to describe it as best I could and they took that info and created a beautiful cake.
The cake was a large 50 with white frosting trimmed in purple with the addition of purple orchards. Just lovely and the cake it self tasted yummy and delighted my guest.

The Cakery did such an absolutely amazing job for my wife and I!!! Lonielle and I had spoken a few times and then she met with my wife and my mother and I and did an terrific presentation.
We did three different cakes: Chocolate, Vanilla with a raspberry filling and a hint lemon and carrot. We also did one of the chocolate gluten free.
The cakes were just gorgeous and far exceeded my hopes.
I very strongly recommend The Cakery for the your wedding cake for the best day of your life!!!!!

We tasted a few cakes prior to choosing The Cakery and found Lonielle's cakes to be the most moist and delicious. We also found her to be right in the middle of prices we were being quoted by others, not the highest but definitely not the lowest. She was willing to discuss options to fit the cake into our budget and we certainly got what we paid for. She hand painted our cake and really personalized it to what we wanted. She came in quietly the day of our event and set it up and decorated it with flowers we provided...she was almost stealth-like. I would recommend her to anyone.

Lionelle did an AMAZING job! I sent her pictures from pinterest on what I would like my cupcakes to look like and she delivered! She even got the light blue frosting down with cute blue flowers to follow my theme. We did mini cupcakes instead of he standard cake. Everyone loved them! We estimated 2 per person and the last one was eaten when the music finally stopped. It was perfect.

The cake was truly beautiful and the taste amazing. We went with a white cake with raspberry filling that is to die for and we also chose a chocolate cake with chocolate ganache and coconut cream that was out of this world. Really happy that everyone loved the cake.

The Cakery was a recommendation from my wedding coordinator and wow was i blown away with the cakes i ordered! When we first went to meet with her we kind of went through what we were looking for and let me tell you, she put our ideas in living reality, she did the most amazing job on our wedding cake! we had 2 sheets cakes and a wedding cake and everything was a different flavor, ALL which were huge hits among the guests!!!
I had ordered a surprise grooms cake for my (then) fiance and i was very specific with what i wanted. I told my coordinator that i wanted a Bears football field for his cake and not only did she deliver this football field, she made it twice as big without charging me because she didn't want to ruin the integrity of the look of the cake, i was FLOORED when i first saw it, OMG, did she deliver my vision! It was perfect and it was salted caramel which is my husbands favorite and it was three layers! Goodness when i say she went above and beyond my expectations, she truly did and i was so thankful! The wedding cake was just as gorgeous, she gave me what i wanted and because i wanted the three tiered cake taller she added wine glasses between the top layer and the bottom two tiers to elongated it and it was just mind blowing on how beautiful it was! Also i made it a point of telling her i wanted tons of bling (in a classy way) on the cake and she added stripes of bling on each layer with a quilted bling pattern on another layer, i was over joyed that i got just what i had envisioned for my cake! She is the best!!

I fell in love with the Cakery during my college years at Cal Poly SLO. Lionelle has really brought the old tastes and updated the overall brand. First we went to the Madonna Inn, and had some trouble catching their baker in order to make an appointment. We didn't end up meeting with the baker, but was shown a seat in the restaurant. A waitress plated some slices of cakes for tasting, and left us with a book to choose a standard design. No substitutions, no consultant to speak with, no delivery to the site, no custom options, no, no, no.

The Cakery was a completely different experience. Lionelle's shop is immaculate! Everything is labeled and organized. We felt absolutely heard by her and felt like we could make any changes or substitutions we wanted. She made us individually baked mini cakes and had many frostings and fillings that were made for us that morning. She gave us space to talk privately but I felt connected and important as a client. She worked with us to get our vision and to meet our budget. We could bring our own decorations or have her get them for us. Even though we were coordinating with her from Los Angeles, I had no problem dropping off our decorations and ribbons, or e-mailling her and getting a quick response. Professional, committed, reliable, supportive, and lovely.

The guests were gaga over our lemon/coconut and chocolate/raspberry wedding cakes. Plus it says something when the local wedding planner's favorite cake is from the Cakery!!

They were so great! We tried three cake places in the San Luis Obispo/Santa Maria area. Once we tried their cake, we knew we had to have them! Our flavors were white cake with raspberry filling, carrot cake with cream cheese filling, and chocolate cake with a chocolate ganache filling. Oh my goodness! My husband and I never eat cake at a wedding, but we made sure we sat down and ate a piece of our cake! Absolutely amazing!

We did something a little different, but it worked so well for us with serving our guests faster. We had a four teir wedding cake with two layers fake -styrofoam I think- (top real cake for saving, bottom real cake for cutting) and then we had sheet cakes in the back kitchen cut up before we cut our cake big cake. This was a great idea and I highly recommend it for anyone!!!

Over all great Cakery. I would/do recommend them to anyone and everyone!

I was a cake vendors nightmare as I'm gluten free & my groom is a picky princessa! Initially we had a phone consultation on what we were looking for & Lonielle was very good at answering our questions and providing helpful insight. We met with Lonielle several months before the wedding to taste cake & to my surprise she had even made gluten free cake so I could be a part of the tasting! The cake flavors she offers are unique & her decorating/designing talents are pretty awesome. I'm a picky person with lots of ideas & wasn't sure how to put them all together & Lonielle was really good at helping me narrow things down.
My husband & I had a custom cake topper and Lonielle was able to paint it for us (she made it sparkly & pretty) & perfectly incorporate it into our cake design. This cake topper came last minute & Lonielle was kind enough to communicate with us via email & phone many times on how we could make our perfect fairytale style cake. Lonielle was also great at communicating with my florist on how to incorporate fresh flowers and it was nice to let her take the reigns & be able to take that off my plate.
The day of the wedding Lonielle arrived on time & set my cake up beautifully. The cake was stunning & turned out even better than I had imagined. The best part was the fact that because she made 1/2 of the top tier gluten free I could actually indulge and enjoy having cake with everyone else. Many guests told us how beautiful the cake was and that it actually tasted delicious and not just like hard fondant like many wedding cakes typically do. Did I mention that Lonielle has a unique way of using fondant but then removing it so guests taste moist delicious cake and not hard tasteless fondant!
If you're looking for a cake that looks expensive & unique, tastes moist & flavorful & you want a vendor who will get to know you and isn't part of a big box cake factory then this is the place for you. Lonielle is the owner, the baker and the decorator.

We choose a smaller cake and had about 400 "cake bites". The Cakery did a great job designing our actual wedding cake. I wanted lace and fresh flowers and they were very accommodating with the design. It turned out beautiful. The cake bites were unbelievable! Our guests loved them. People remarked that it was great to be able to sample different types of cake instead of one big slice.

For her Halloween wedding, my daughter emailed me a photo of her dream wedding cake. One look at the photo and I knew this was a very intricate cake and that I may have trouble finding a baker who could do this. I was right. I had several wedding cake bakers look at the photo and say, "Wow! This is a beautiful cake but we cannot make it." Then I found Lonielle at The Cakery in Santa Margarita, CA, who took a look at the photo and not only said she could make it but that she was very excited about making this very special cake. Lonielle's talents are amazing. She made us a beach-themed cake with edible seashells/starfish which the kids loved as much as everyone else. The cake itself was gorgeous; it was white with hints of lavender and pearls around the edges, just like I wanted it. She even created our initials on a sugar sand dollar on top of the cake! On top of that, our cake was delicious! Everyone wanted to take some home. The raspberry was the winner but my personal favorite was the chocolate ganache and salted caramel. Thank you, Lonielle!

Our wedding cake from the Cakery was sooooo delicious! We even had guests ask if they could take some home. Our caterer liked the cake so much she said she was going to refer everyone to them from now on. Also Lonielle was very professional and responded quickly to emails. She also was really great at guiding me when I needed help with decisions. I showed her a picture of the cake I wanted and our cake looked exactly like it. I also rented one of her cake stands that was beautiful and fit my color scheme perfectly. I would definately recommend The Cakery and would use them again in the future.

BEST CAKE EVER!!!! My husband and I are so looking forward to eating the top layer we saved for our 1st year anniversary...and believe me, it took A LOT of will power to save it. Let's hope we can wait the whole year.

From start to finish, Lonielle at the Cakery did a phenomenal job! We went to the tasting and tasted some of the most delicious creations we'd ever had. She was professional and informative and put us at ease from the get-go. We flipped through binders and made a decision for a 3 tiered custom creation just right for our wedding. She even let us pick 2 different cakes for the different tiers, since we couldn't decide which we loved more (for the same price). The Cakery is upfront about their pricing, no hidden fees and really good about responding to any inquiries we had. She arrived on time and set up the cake, even putting our flowers on the cake for us... and the cake?? The cake turned out better than we could have imagined and tasted divine! Everyone was raving about it. You know when you see a beautiful cake and then you taste it and you're disappointed with the lack of flavor? Well, this won't happen with the Cakery. Mind blowing taste!!

If you want to WOW your guests with not only a gorgeous cake but the most delicious and scrumptious cake they've ever had you must go with The Cakery! Our guests are still gushing over how beautiful the cake was but even more how delicious it was! Lonielle was so easy to work with and always immediately understood what I was envisioning for our cake and the surprise grooms cake I asked her to make. Everything came out as promised and the cake looked so much like the sketches only better. Lonielle is wonderful to work with. We had a small wedding and it was a two tier cake with two sheet cakes. Lonielle worked within our budget and did a beautiful job. Definitely will work with her again if I can.

Lonielle De Haven is professional and she is a hell of a bakery !! We did not even get to say hello to her on the wedding day, but her work was just heavenly! Can't wait until our 1 year anniversary :-)

Delicious cake! So happy with the outcome! Made it just like I wanted (I brought a photo). Plus, they grow their own carrots that go into the carrot cake! They also use top name brand ingredients and it does make all the difference. Everything was delivered without a hitch! Highly recommended.

Lonielle with The Cakery was friendly, talented, and great to work with. For the tasting she created great parings of cake and fillings to choose from, and while we decided on a simple design with fresh flowers for our wedding cake Lonielle created a beautiful piece of art from it that tasted awesome!

I absolutely loved my wedding cake. It not only looked perfect, but tasted AMAZING. We were able to pick a great variety of flavors for the whole cake with their many different filling options. The cake was beautiful and more than I thought could be done in a cake!

Not only was our cake beautiful (and EXACTLY like the picture I showed Lonielle) but it was DELICIOUS!! We cleaned the sample plate at the cake tasting and were so excited to eat the left over cake packed away for breakfast the morning after our wedding. We tasted with another popular cake vendor after we tasted with The Cakery and there was no competition in terms of artistry and taste. If Lonielle is available to make your cake you should absolutely snatch her up!

Our wedding was planned in about 6 weeks time! Met with Loinelle at the Cakery and immediately felt at ease and comfortable with sharing my ideas of what I wanted our cake to look like. BTW ... This was a same sex wedding so no bride and groom topper! She showed excitement with our idea and began to draw a picture of what the cake would look like. Then she presented several samples of cake flavors for us to taste ...OMG ... so hard to choose as everything was amazing. All fresh ingredients, the cake, the fillings, the icings all fresh made. We selected both a carrot cake and chocolate with raspberry filling. All the flowers were hand made and platinum colored. The day of the wedding the cake was delivered on time and was stunning! We rented from The Cakery a silver base for the cake to sit on which only added to it's beauty. The design of the cake was everything we discussed and more. It was fresh and moist and our chosen flavors were amazing. So many compliments from our guests, some even had both flavors. I loved the carrot cake but the chocolate raspberry was by far my favorite! And Loinelle, she was delightful to work with, listened to my ideas and followed through to make it happen.

The Cakery was AMAZING!!!! 1-The cake was delicious!!! 2- Lonielle took my little picture from Pintrest and made my cake a reality 3- When she dropped off the cake Lonielle really took the time to place the flowers and arrange the cake table so everything was beautiful (and out of harms way). She was a pleasure to work with and I recommend the Cakery highly enough!!! If you need a cake in the SLO area look no farther!!!

I still cant get over how perfect my cake was. The entire night i kept telling people "Have you seen my cake???!!!" It was absolutely stunning and the vendor was flawless. They called me the week of just to sort out any last minute details and the whole transaction went flawlessly!!! The cake was delicious, looked beautiful, and absolutely no worries or snags in the whole process. I had my coordinators leave my topper on the cake stand and The Cakery set it all up when they dropped the cake off. I can't speak any more highly about The Cakery. It's really too bad my caters dropped the ball and didn't serve it because i had most of the cake leftover.(People ate it at the Sunday brunch luckily) Shame on Trumpet Vine because it was a gorgeous and delicious cake. Thank you The Cakery for making my wedding cake perfect!

The Cakery is, hands-down, the best wedding cake vendor in Central California. We did a lot of tastings before we met with Linda and Yarrow, and nobody came even close to being as perfect as them. First of all, their tasting room is in the gorgeous, oak-draped hills of Templeton. You sit in a dainty room with views of rolling farmlands with some tea and beautiful books of stunning cakes. And then you taste. Let me just say that you will not feel rushed, you will not feel upsold, you will not feel hurried or pressured in any way. You know why? Because they know that they have a stellar product and it's up to you to make your own decision. We loved working with the Cakery SO MUCH. Our cake was beyond beautiful, more than we ever could have imagined, and it remains the best-tasting, most rich and moist desert my husband and I have ever had. We cannot recommend them enough. They are artists. Professional, calming, talented artists. Plus, their prices are absolutely in line with other, much lower-rated bakeries in the area. Book them early, you will NOT regret it.

The cakery did both our Grooms cake at rehearsal and our wedding cake! I've never been a cake person but theses cakes were amazing, the best I've ever had! Not only were they so creative and perfect but they tasted so good we actually ran out of cake because people wanted more!!

Everything about our cake and tasting was wonderful. Look at the pictures on their website, they are amazing!! We got two flavors-- vanilla with raspberry/cream cheese filling and chocolate with peanut butter filling. They were both delicious!

Incredible cake & cupcakes! We had so much fun doing cupcake tasting, and ended up picking 4 different varieties, all of which were amazing. Our guests could not stop raving about them. The Cakery is well known in the area as one of the better places for wedding cakes/cupcakes, and after hiring them, we cannot disagree with that at all, it certainly lived up to its reputation!

I did a lot of research online for bakeries in the Central Coast area and The Cakery was the one I kept coming back to. My groom called to make an appointment for a tasting for him, myself and my mother. Though not hard to find, The Cakery is a little off the beaten path in Templeton in a little house on Dancing Deer Farm. When we first met with them, we didn't know exactly what we wanted, so we were able to flip through several photo books of cakes they had made in order to get a better idea of what we liked and what we didn't like. We decided on a three-tiered square cake, with a simple buttercream frosting. The hard part was picking the type of cake and fillings; they were all so delicious! In our complimentary tasting, Linda brought out all of their flavors and fillings. We selected the white cake with cream cheese and raspberry filling for one layer, devil's food with ganache and raspberry for another, and our top layer (yet to be eaten) is devil's food with Kahlua and Baileys buttercream. We wanted to do something custom on the top of the cake to reflect our personalities, so we talked to Linda about creating the squirrels from Ice Age out of fondant. She readily admitted it would be costly, and since we wouldn't get to keep them, it might be better if we could find someone to make them out of clay. We thought this was a great idea, so my husband's aunt created an amazing cake topper for us with the two squirrels sharing an acorn. However, they ended up being too large for the cake, so at the last minute, we talked to The Cakery about a groom's cake. They made a carrot cake (so yummy!) with cream cheese filling and wrapped it in fondant to look like an oak tree stump so the squirrels could sit on it. Both cakes had gorgeous fondant acorns and oak leaves cascading down. And the buttercream on our main cake was so smooth it looked like fondant. Cake is usually hit or miss at weddings...ours was a huge hit. Both cakes were so moist and the flavors were unbelievable. I have never had cake look and taste this good. And the price was great, too! Now I just need an excuse to order another one! If you want the best cake ever, go see Yarrow and Linda at The Cakery. ~Meredith & Jesse

Beautiful Cake, Great to work with

Linda was great to work with. She was extremely professional and it was obvious that she could do just about anything that we threw at her. After pouring over photos, designs and ideas, she did a great job creating our vision. The cake was very very good too. We came back from the honeymoon and ate it with every meal for a week. So good! We loved, loved, loved our wedding cake from The Cakery! The design was based on our invitations and Linda did a wonderful job of interpreting our wants during the consultation. Then Yarrow did an amazing job of putting it all together. The taste was so incredible that not a single slice was left over!! If I ever am in need of a custom cake in the SLO County area again, they will be my first call.

The Cakery did the most beautiful, perfect job on my parents' anniversary cake! It was exactly as we had discussed when we ordered it and it tasted wonderful! The cake had all the elements we asked for; everyone was just blown away! I was so pleased with how they incorporated our theme of "the beach at sunset" using blue tones of water and pinks & oranges of the sky. They used some of our fresh flowers and made sea shells; everything tied together so well!
