Amazing Wedding Cake - so many compliments!

We used Cake Shop for our wedding cake and did things a little differently. We got a smaller 2 tiered wedding cake as our main cake that we had out and as the one we cut. Then we got a sheet cake for everyone else to help cut costs. Both cakes were marble and tasted amazing! We had many guests going back for seconds and received many compliments on the cake! It also looked beautiful!

Steve Newman is a Cake Wizard!

Steve at the Cake Shop is the best wedding cake designer in town! He was so easy to work with, not to mention he is such a friendly, sweet man! His cakes are so incredibly delicious, and I'm not usually a cake person! I'm not sure how he does it, but his cakes are the perfect combination of creamy, rich, sweet, and moist. We saved the top layer of our cake to eat on out one year anniversary, and it is taking so much restraint to not eat it now! It was so yummy!
2 days prior to our wedding, category 4 Hurricane Michael hit the Florida panhandle. Steve was calm, positive and incredibly professional and had the cakes ready our big day without hesitation. He called me the morning of our wedding to let me know he had the cakes ready to bring to the venue. Little did I know, he was without power from the storm just a few hours before! The cakes turned out both beautiful and delicious (which if you ask me, is a hard feat!). He did not let the hurricane get in his way.
Nothing but high praise for The Cake Shop! Thank you a million times, Steve!!

Our wedding cake was absolutely stunning. We had a 3 tier nearly naked cake that was coated by a very sheer icing...beyond perfect!! We got so many conpliments not only on the looks but how wonderful it tasted!! We went with the fudge/vanilla mix and it was so moist and delicious, several of our guests went up for seconds. Would definitely recommend The Cake Shop, they put our vision into reality!

Both my cake and the grooms cake was delish!
My new husband and I went in for a cake tasting about four months prior to the wedding. What a great experience! The bakery is adorable! The bakers are truly the nicest people I have met . I chose a red velvet cake with butter cream icing, so moist and delish. The whole cake was eaten at the wedding. Except the top. My husband chose a carrot cake with cream cheese icing pecans on the side and a caramel drizzle. This cake was a rave at the wedding. Everyone wanted to know who the baker was and how soon could they have a cake made . I would highly recommend this Bakery to anyone. The set up and delivery was equally as great as the cakes taste. delish! I am the Mother of the Bride. My daughters wedding cake was Red Velvet with Butter Cream Icing. Honestly this was the best red velvet cake I have tasted. However, the grooms cake was carrot cake with a caramel drizzle. Fabulous. Both cakes were completely gone. Just this morning I received four telephone calls about the carrot cake alone. Thank you so much, The Cake Shop!

We sent a photo of our cake idea and what they created was 10 times better than the photo. It was an amazing looking cake and tasted great!

We have been celebrating birthdays and special occasions with cakes from The Cake Shop for years, so when it was time to order a cake for my only daughter's wedding, this decision was a no brainer — vanilla cake with buttercream icing from The Cake Shop. We had sent in a photo of a cake my daughter liked and when the big day arrived, the cake was a beautiful take on the photo. Lovely frosting roses covered the bottom tier and three more plain tiers looked almost like fondant, they were so smooth. We wanted to have a cake that was not only beautiful, but delicious, and The Cake Shop came through on that, too. It was so fresh and moist. Our guests raved about it and ate seconds.

Our cake from the cake shop was absolutely phenomenal. I wasn't able to meet with Steve so he met with my maid of honor and he made my ideal cake. I had it delivered to the recreation venue and it arrived in absolutely perfect condition. I can't wait to eat my cake on my first anniversary!

The Cake Shop did an amazing job! I was blown away by my wedding cake. The cake was one thing we weren't very passionate about and just chose something we thought would be simple and pretty, but when the cake arrived on the wedding morning, it was more than we ever imagined! It was absolutely beautiful! If you want an amazing cake for great value, call The Cake Shop!

I used the Cake Shop 28 years ago for my wedding and now again for my daughters wedding last week end. It was easy doing business with Steve Newman who makes all of the wedding cakes and both the wedding cake and grooms cake were beautiful and delicious!

The people at the cake shoppe and Steve, the wedding cake designer, are very easy to work with and very friendly. Not to mention the cake was fabulous! He even made mini cup-cakes in special flavors for me!

The Cake Shop has the most delicious cakes in northern Florida. It looked beautiful and tasted great. They delivered and I was very happy. Thank you to the wedding cake baker who worked with me on my budget to get me what I wanted.

The Cake Shop let us taste all their cake for free (and they even gave us free milk with it!). I was able to design my own cake and Steve made it seem so simple when we brainstormed ideas. It was quite fun! On the big day, the cake was absolutely perfect that I didn't want to cut into it! It looked more beautiful that I could have ever imagined.

We got cupcakes in 4 different flavors and a 8" round cake topper. Our guests loved the cupcakes and even a week later we had some left over that were still good!

The Cake Shop was very accommodating to me. Our wedding cake was beyond beautiful and our grooms cake was chocolate cake with chocolate icing and had a Gator logo on it, big hit with the hubby. I'll be back.

Dan did a wonderful job of accomplishing the look that I was desiring in my cake. He was very accommodating and easy to work with. I'm gluten intolerant so I didn't actually eat the cake, but everyone I heard speak of it said that it was one of the best wedding cakes they've ever eaten!

The Cake Shop was very responsive, organized and professional. They were also very kind to give us free cupcakes when we paid our deposit! We had a contract far ahead of time which made us feel secure. Cake prices were very straight forward and well worth the cost! Their cake designers are talented so we had no problem working with them to develop the style we wanted. They worked with us to match the frosting to our wedding colors. We bought a cake topper which we brought to the venue for them to add to the cake on delivery. The cake was delicious as all Cake Shop goodies are, and we got a lot of positive reviews from guests! We finished off the leftovers when we got back from our honeymoon...we could not wait for our anniversary for more cake!

The Cake Shop was the perfect choice for our wedding cake! We got a two-tiered yellow cake with purple frosting that a big hit at our wedding! The cake was delicious and it looked beautiful. The somehow managed to turn slightly a faded blue, but no one was concerned because it was delicious! I live out of town, so I communicated primarily through email, which wasn't the fastest way, but I ended up with the perfect cake regardless. Thank you!

The cake chef was very professional and led it through the whole process. We are pleased to say we are getting our cake from Cake Shop! My parents got their cake from the owner from which owned a different named shop and has been top quality each time.

Steve Newman of the Cake Shop did a WONDERFUL job on our wedding cake!!!! He is such a talented artist and made us a lovely cake that was just what we had dreamed of. When we saw it in person, our jaws dropped, it was so fantastic.

And it tasted delicious too. Brides, make sure you actually get a taste of your cake at your wedding - it's easy to miss out with everything else going on.

Thank you Steve and the Cake Shop, for a wonderful, beautiful, memorable and yummy wedding cake!

I'm so thankful to Steve and the staff at The Cake Shop. They were able to prepare and deliver my wedding cakes immediately after Hurricane Hermine. I'm so thankful for them and the extraordinary customer service that gave me and my husband.

I worked with Steve who designed my wedding cake. Steve was very flexible when meeting up prior to my wedding to go over designs, styles and flavors for my wedding cake. We have used The Cake Shop for a few occasions and have never been let down. Steve was very easy to work with and I showed him a few pictures of what I wanted and honestly was blown away when I walked into my reception to see such a beautiful cake sitting there. I did not have to worry about anything after our initial visit which was very nice. Thank you for making it such an easy process.

Although they are a bit pricy per cupcake, the taste is worth it. I do wish they would have cake samples for brides or at least offer them when they know it's a wedding.

I loved my wedding cake from The Cake Shop. It was exactly what I hoped for and they were very accommodating and willing to listen to what I wanted. They also gave me a lot of free samples while I was deciding what kind of cake I wanted! :) The only downside was that it took awhile to hear back from them about setting up an appointment, and since I only had three months to plan my wedding I really needed to meet with them early on. The cake didn't last well in the refrigerator; it dried out after a few days, but the day of it was absolutely beautiful and delicious! I would recommend them for sure.

We had a sweets buffet at our reception and did not want to have a traditional wedding cake. When I went to look around the staff was very inviting and ready to answer all my questions. When I told them what I had in mind they gave great suggestions. We ended up with 4 cakes that were very reasonably priced. The cakes were beautiful and everybody raved about how good it was. I love it when a plan comes together!!

Not surprisingly, the Cake Shop's cake was amazing! The cake baker was super flexible and did exactly what we asked. It looked beautiful and tasted even better! Whenever I'm in Tallahassee, I will always look for an excuse to get a Cake Shop cake!

We got our wedding cupcakes from the Cake Shop. Everyone loved them! It wasn't a bad deal at $1 a cupcake...Cake Shop seems to be the most preferred bakery in town for taste. Service is another thing entirely. When I placed the order we were the only people in the bakery so we were attended to promptly but I know other times I've gone, they seem to be short-staffed and super busy. That seems to be the case for others judging by the rest of the reviews. It's unfortunate because they could really be fantastic if they stepped it up with the service. But as for me, I had a great experience for the wedding (thank goodness!).

First off, let me preface this by saying that the cake was absolutely gorgeous and delicious and I would definitely got back to The Cake Shop. Their customer service is absolutely atrocious though.

When I first went into The Cake Shop to talk about wedding cakes, I was kind of taken aback that they don't do a tasting until you actually put down a deposit with them. How is a bride supposed to know they like the cake? I ended up buying a couple of different kinds of cupcakes to make sure that they tasted good.

After we decided we wanted to go with them, we put down a deposit and met with the baker. He sketched out a design of our cake and gave us a price. We ended up having to ask him to try a few different flavors and the only thing we ended up getting to taste was yellow cake with raspberry filling (which is what we ended going with). Even though we loved the one we tried, I would have loved to be able to try a few more flavors to see if there was anything we would have liked better.

On the day of the wedding, my fiance went to pick up our wedding cake. They forgot to give us our cake stand. After numerous tries to get a hold of them, we finally decided to go without the stand. They called us 2 hours before the ceremony started to tell us they forgot to give us the stand and I had to drive over there and get it. That was definitely a hassle and I was not happy to have to do that when I already had tons of other stuff to do.

I don't know if poor customer service is the right phrase but I felt like no one knew what was going on when I went into the shop. I asked for a specialized cake and it turned out the way I wanted but it took a lot of effort to get it all organized.

No personal service. Very unprofessional. Late delivery of cake. Never even spoke to the mother of the bride or the bride, when setting up the cake. AND, the cake really wasn't that good. I would not recommend.
