If your date is open, book immediately!
5 stars doesn't even seem to do the Bostonian justice. TL;DR: If you're looking for a fantastic venue with an even better value and want to work with best of the best, book the Bostonian immediately!
The Bostonian was the first venue we saw and knew that it was likely to be the one. We knew that we wanted to be in the city, but didn't want a stuffy hotel ballroom. Although it is a hotel, The Bostonian was far from a standard ballroom. We immediately fell in love with the amazing giant windows, incredible staff and the location. We did our due diligence and saw countless other options, but in the end, The Bostonian offered everything we were looking for and more for way less than the competitors. Not to mention, Nicole is a goddess among mortals and I wasn't going to pass on the opportunity to work with her!
Before booking, we had decided to have dinner at North 26 to get a sense of the food. The food was very important to us and while they are different menus, the same head chef handles both their restaurant and events menus. During our dinner they managed to give us a sampling of appetizers from the catering menu, which blew my mind! Everything we tasted, at that dinner and at our official tasting dinner, was incredible. Not a single person at our wedding had a bad thing to say about the food.
While the space and food was key for us, it was the people who really made The Bostonian stand out. Everyone we came in contact with from the door man to the front desk manager to our event manager, Nicole Shapiro, were outstanding! They went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and supported. Nicole answered my countless ridiculous questions - trust me there were a lot of them - quickly and without hesitation. If she ever once thought I was insane, she certainly didn't show it! She even helped us unload the uHaul of supplies we dropped off before the wedding and assemble our welcome bags.
As an event planner myself, I knew that the hardest part of my wedding was going to be letting myself enjoy the day and not focusing on running the event. With Nicole at the helm, I didn't worry for a single second that day or the two years we worked together leading up to it. She is a DREAM to work with and I can't recommend her enough!
If we were to do it all over again, we would 100% book the Bostonian again!

Incredible
If you want to feel like King and Queen on your wedding day then you should have The Bostonian to be your venue. Not only this place is affordable, their packages are incredible and its in a great location but their service and attention that you will get throughout your planning, during the wedding and even the next day is INCREDIBLE.
When I say that my wedding went without a glitch I mean it. It's been over a month and we still can't believe how perfect everything went.
We had Nicole as our event coordinator, she was there with us all the way, and understood exactly what we were looking for. Nicole was on top of everything
OH! and the food?? also INCREDIBLE

The perfect place for our wedding!
As soon as we saw the Bostonian, we knew it was the perfect place for our wedding. My husband and I wanted a city wedding with skyline views. The Bostonian has such a prime location, right across from Faneuil Hall. You can walk to so many beautiful places for photos from here. I truly don’t think you can beat the location. The Seasons Ballroom has a unique vantage point of the city. You get skyline views without being 50+ stories high. Right out the window is Faneuil Hall & Quincy Marketplace, the clock tower, and some other beauties! We had our ceremony and reception in the ballroom and the setting couldn’t have bene more dreamy.
The Seasons Ballroom has modern and clean feel, perfect for any decor you want to add. Most hotel ballrooms have bold and busy rugs, dated light fixtures, and feel overly stuffy, but this space is so modern and fresh. We worked closely with Nicole (and Rachel was great too, who we talked to a few times!) and she guided us through the whole process. The pricing was very fair, especially for a Boston wedding. Nicole worked with us on ironing out our day of schedule, made vendor recommendations, and was very responsive. The day of our wedding, she coordinated everything. I didn’t have to worry about talking to any vendors or worrying about anything at all. She handled everything. The staff at the Bostonian, especially Nelson, the head waiter was great. He took care of our sweetheart table and our parents tables and was so warm, friendly, and provided such a high level of service.
The food was wonderful. The options at the Bostonian were so hard to choose between since they have such a generous menu. People complimented the food and desert (we had the North End desert platter which was DELICIOUS!).
I couldn’t have asked for a better wedding day. Gorgeous venue, amazing staff, perfect day!
When looking at venues, my husband and I knew we wanted something in downtown Boston, but didn't have a major budget. When we found the Bostonian, the choice was clear. The venue is a lovely glass atrium, in an amazing location right next to Faneuil Hall. The best part is the amazing package deal at a variety of price points depending on your budget and each package is fully customizable. Nicole Shapiro was so helpful in coordinating everything and making us feel secure in our decisions and plan for day-of; we didn't even need to hire a coordinator because she handled everything from helping us select the menu to telling us when it was time to cut the cake. She's also a delight to work with and superstar at her job -- even while she was planning her own wedding! When it came to day of, the entire staff was super attentive and all of the guests raved about how caring everyone was. When I walked in to the cocktail hour, one staff member immediately offered me some of the passed hors d'oeuvres and made sure to check in on me and offer more food! The food was AWESOME and they were very flexible when it came to the menu, so I was able to tailor the menu and even add a completely custom salmon option. The package is unbeatable - you'll have a place to get ready with your ladies (with salon chairs and breakfast and mimosas!), and all of the tiny details are taken care of -- no need to worry about insane rental upgrades and Nicole handled working with all of our vendors to make sure everything ran smoothly. I could not be more thrilled with how our special day worked out and I would absolutely choose the Bostonian if I had to do it all over again. Your day will be amazing here and it won't break the bank to have an absolutely stunning wedding! When looking at venues, my husband and I knew we wanted something in downtown Boston, but didn't have a major budget. Beautiful venue and wonderful planner!
We are so happy that we chose the Bostonian for our wedding! We had both the ceremony and the reception there, and Nicole was a pleasure to work with throughout the whole process. She was incredibly responsive to questions and helped us with all the planning. The location is perfect, and allowed us to take really great photos on the Greenway and in Fanueil Hall prior to the wedding, all within an easy walk. The Seasons Ballroom is a beautiful glassed-in space (not your typical hotel ballroom at all, which we were thrilled to find!). The food was delicious, people were complementing us on the appetizers and dinner the whole evening. Nicole dealt with all the little details for us on the wedding day, the service staff provided wonderful service, and overall we were just thrilled with how everything came together. Wonderful Venue & Fantastic Food
Our wedding reception at the Bostonian exceeded all my expectations. From our first visit to our wedding day, our coordinator Nicole Stone, was incredibly helpful and made us feel like we were the only wedding all fall. The hotel, right in the heart of Faneuil Hall, has old Boston charm while being also having a city sleek vibe. The ballroom has a fantastic view of the skyline which helps bring the room to life once the sun goes down. There were numerous options for food and drink packages and Nicole helped guide us to what would fit within our budget. The food was outstanding and we have had many guests rave about their meals. I was happy that there were so many options to chose from as we are not chicken/filet people and were able to offer our guests fresh New England seafood. If food is one of your top priorities for your wedding, as it was for us, the Bostonian will not disappoint. The staff was incredibly accommodating as we had quite a bit of decor to drop off and there were zero hiccups prepping for the big day. Nicole walked us through every step to ensure we would not have to worry about a thing the day of. The hotel uses a smaller conference room as a "bridal lounge" complete with salon style chairs and mirrors which made getting ready with the gals so enjoyable and we had so much space! There are so many great things I can say about working with Nicole and the Bostonian, it truly made our day so memorable and bring our Boston theme to life. I could not recommend The Bostonian or Nicole enough to other couples. The location was simply perfect and they really made the entire experience feel special and enjoyable. Flexible and Professional
We only held our ceremony and happy hour at the location but it was beautiful! Nicole and her team were on top of the game, and because we chose to have the ceremony at 2pm on a Friday it was a STEAL for a ceremony, open bar and happy hour! I can't thank The Bostonian staff enough for the wedding of my dreams. I was convinced I had a venue picked out but my mom forced me to look at another for comparison. I picked the Bostonian because it was closest to my office, so easy to go tour but the second I met the staff and saw the space I fell in love - not to mention how reasonably priced the packages are compared to anything else in the city. Our whole theme was downtown Boston, and this is as downtown as it gets. I was very anti-hotel ballroom, but The Bostonian's ballroom is anything but traditional, with the floor to mid-ceiling windows and balconies. Plus they included space for the after party and the brunch. The only hiccup we had was staff turnover - my hotel planner left about 3 weeks before the wedding. I was petrified at first, as we had many non-traditional elements that we had very carefully choreographed with her over the past 10 months - our ceremony was in the ballroom, we were the largest wedding they had ever done (plus had a 7 piece band), we had the cocktail hour outside in the courtyard, we had a non-traditional "cheese" cake that the staff had to put together and decorate, some very specific food allergies, and more. Steven, the sales manager, went out of his way to make my mom and I certain that the transition would be fine, and generously comped some upcharges to make up for the last minute stress. A whole team seamlessly covered for my planner's absence, and Nicole went above and beyond to understand the plan and quickly answer my questions and make me comfortable once she took over - she is the best! Our guests told us it was the best food they ever had at a wedding; it's now 2.5 months later and people are still talking about what they ate. There were never lines at the bar, the servers were outstanding, and all of our small touches were setup perfectly - they even had champagne and our leftover dinners in our room after the after-party. Our wedding reception at the Bostonian was so incredibly wonderful and the staff was simply the best! All I can do is sing their praising, especially Nicole, the catering sales manager that we worked closely with leading up to our wedding and on the day of the reception. Every time we met with the Bostonian, they treated us like family and showed genuine interest and passion in making our wedding day perfect. Nicole would respond to all of my questions and requests within a day, if not within an hour. I was planning form halfway across the country and the Bostonian made that seamless and easy. I did not have a wedding planner, but the Bostonian staff made it so easy that I wouldn't have ever thought of needing one. The food was also delicious and the location is absolutely ideal - it felt like we got such a good value for everything. Truly a hidden gem in downtown Boston. We wanted a wedding that encapsulated the city we love and the Bostonian hit the nail on the head. Everything was easy and accommodating from the first visit, all the planning, to the day of execution. The weekend of the wedding we were treated like a kind and queen by every hotel employee and our coordinator Ashley was amazing! She helped us every step of the way and allowed us to enjoy the day since we were confident she would execute everything perfectly. Our guests are still telling us about the amazing views, food and service. I would recommend this venue to anyone and every one looking for a Boston wedding venue. Hands down amazing!Truly a hidden gem in downtown Boston. We wanted a wedding that encapsulated the city we love and the Bostonian hit the nail on the head. Everything was easy and accommodating from the first visit, all the planning, to the day of execution. My review was too long to fit here so to sum it up - we were billed thousands of dollars in excess of what was agreed upon prior to the wedding in writing, When the fire alarm went off in the middle of the ceremony - when there was no fire - not a single member of staff notified any of the 105 guests in the ceremony room of what to do or whether it was an actual fire or not. The hotel would later claim it was a natural disaster.... despite there never being an actual fire. Disappointing to say the least. Dear Ariel,
Congratulations! We wish you all the happiness and health in a lifelong marriage.
Thank you for your posted review and we understand that not every detail was to our mutual service expectation, and I offer a sincere apology for what was in our control. As one can see from a long list of past favourable reviews, yours’ is an anomaly and not in keeping with our standards.
Boston has some of the strictest fire codes for public buildings in all of the United States and anytime an alarm sounds, it is mandated by policy and equipment settings. Truly, we are happy that it was a false alarm regardless of reason and agree that timing could not have been more inappropriate. As for your guest safety, our public address identified for all guests to remain in their current location until further notice, and once cause was determined, this was communicated and we avoided rushing your wedding out of the building.
We realize that this interruption was extremely upsetting, especially for a bride and I know my team did all possible to relinquish your angst. For your inconvenience our Banquet Manager, Stephen, and your personal Wedding Planner, Nicole, allowed additional time to your Open Bar as a gesture of goodwill.
Your statement of a billing error is accurate, and, yes, great hotels make mistakes and we acknowledged this with a full adjustment, and as well waived your contracted additional $400 bar tab as an ‘olive branch’. This type of billing inconsistency should not have occurred and we have evaluated protocol to prevent any further inconvenience.
We wish you a wonderful first year in your new life together and look forward to your return, on your anniversary, with your Complimentary One Night Stay.
Thank you,
Robert Rivers

I don't think I could say enough good things about our wedding at the Bostonian! The venue is visually stunning - the backdrop of the statehouse was gorgeous for our ceremony. The food was absolutely delicious as well! The whole staff was so accommodating, but especially the wedding coordinator Lindsay who was absolutely wonderful to work with.
Also, our guests staying at the hotel loved how it was in the center of Boston. And we all went out after the reception - it was very cool to be so close to so many great bars. We booked this hotel for our guests out of town to stay at an for our families. There was some turnover within the hotel, that made me kinda stressed, from the time I held the rooms to the time the contract had to signed. However, the staff was great and very helpful an understanding and made me feel reassured. They reached out to me many times answering all my questions and concerns. The view from the ballroom is amazing. I live abroad and I am only in town for short periods of time, however, they were very flexible. Anne just started but I started working with Eleni before her. Eleni sold the venue for me. She was helpful and guided me to how to pick vendors.
Selling the place isn't hard, the ballroom and hotel are beautiful. The hotel is a modern boutique hotel over a very historical area. Right outside of the ball room you can see where Paul Revere rode warning everyone "The British are coming!". Don't let the historical area and building stop you. It's up to date and modern. The rooms are beautiful with charming balconies. The hotel is quiet considering the bustling neighborhood.
I should warn you that the hotel is considered small. It caters to smaller weddings (they advised me that over 100 can become cramped, 100 will be cozy but roomy. It's perfect for my 70-80 person wedding. Plenty of room to dance.
With a small hotel comes the issue with not having enough hotels. They give you 20 complimentary rooms. That means, if you don't use them all, you are not obligated to pay for the room. However, if you use those up for guests, asking for more rooms depends on the availability at that time. It's a small hotel so the rooms can fill quickly if you pick a popular weekend. We have a lot of local friends and family so we should be fine. It caters to local couples with local friends and family. Out of towners will have plenty or hotels in the area to choose from. It's the plus side of picking the hotel and the area. The view from the ballroom is amazing. I live abroad and I am only in town for short periods of time, however, they were very flexible. We had a truly wonderful experience with the Millennium for our May 2015 wedding of about 80 guests. The view from the ballroom, the fantastic food, and the downtown location are all amazing and we continue to receive compliments from our guests. One of the things we really liked about the Millennium is that it's a great venue for not-too-big not-too-small weddings: many of the other venues we looked at had ballrooms that were just too big for our size. The Millennium venue offers a great combination of old Boston (without being stuffy) charm and an urban, modern feel. But the best thing by far about our wedding was the SERVICE. Every staff member from the doormen to the catering team was superb. Anne and Lindsey, the wedding coordinators, went far above and beyond (and even that seems like an understatement). For any bride considering the Millennium, rest assured you will be in exceptional hands with Anne and Lindsey. We are so, so thrilled that we held our big day there. We had a truly wonderful experience with the Millennium for our May 2015 wedding of about 80 guests. Our experience with The Millennium Bostonian Hotel was nothing short of amazing.
Staff: We worked with 2 wedding coordinators during our planning and both were incredible and very experienced in the wedding industry. Our day-of coordinator, Anne Wilkes, did everything to make the day perfect.
Service: The catering staff for the reception was first class.
Food: We are still getting compliments on the food! Great variety of appetizer and entree options and they were able to accommodate a few special meals (gluten free, vegan, etc).
Venue: Can't beat the view from the Seasons Ballroom! Looking over Faneuil hall all lit up at night was the perfect backdrop for our city wedding. The hotel is in a great location for out of town guests to enjoy Boston.
Hotel Rooms: all recently renovated and very nice.
I highly recommend the Millennium for a great city wedding! Our experience with The Millennium Bostonian Hotel was nothing short of amazing.

The Millennium Bostonian is a fantastic location with amazing service, great food and a unique venue. We had both the ceremony and reception at the Millennium. The ballroom's backdrop (Faneuil Hall) and floor-to-ceiling windows, along with the three balconies, were unbeatable and allowed for some outdoor space. The cost can be on the higher end, but our original wedding coordinator was flexible and worked with us to customize the package they offer to help us stay within our budget. While pricey, you definitely get what you pay for. All of our wedding guests had a great time, were so impressed with the room, and told us the food (offered from the hotel's restaurant) was great. We are very happy that we got married here. That said, our only issues had to do with communication. They are not as proactive about communication as a venue of this caliber (and cost) should be. For example, it wasn't until we had to physically show up at the hotel after days of not getting a response from the hotel's wedding coordinator that we were told -- by a front desk clerk -- that she no longer worked with the company. The new events supervisor told us the new coordinator, once hired in about two weeks, would be introduced to us and each couple would get a new meeting. After not hearing anything for about two months, we decided to reach out on our own. It was only then that we were introduced to the new coordinator. Our new coordinator was much more responsive than other hotel staff we worked with, but on the day of our wedding there were still a few small details that, though we had discussed them, were missed. All in all, we would recommend this venue to every other couple looking for a modern city wedding in a convenient location, but with the advice that you have to be the proactive ones when communicating. The Millennium Bostonian is a fantastic location with amazing service, great food and a unique venue. Eleni and her team were amazing! Eleni came in during the middle of our wedding planning, and exceeded all of our expectations. She was professional and quickly caught up on all of our details. It was clear throughout that she loves her job and was working very hard to make this our dream wedding. She was incredibly responsive and coordinated all of our vendors which took a lot of pressure off of us in the days leading up to the wedding. The hotel and event staff were equally professional, friendly, and efficient. I had my wedding here on 6/20/14 and the event coordinator and the team did a fantastic job! I met with the wedding coordinator a handful of times prior to the wedding for the initial meeting, another meeting with my mom present, food tasting, and multiple small meetings to touch base. Each time I was feeling nervous and needed to go in and ask questions they always responded to emails and would set up a time to meet to just go over minor details. They were very polite, professional, and pleasant throughout the whole process. On the week of the wedding they were very helpful and organized. On the day of the wedding they went above and beyond! I had no stress that day and every hour or so they would check in with me to see if there was anything I needed or anything they could do. In the Daws suite where myself and the bridesmaids were getting ready the little fridge was leaking a little bit and immediatley someone came to fix it, so we could put our champagne in it. The phone also was acting up, and again someone came to fix it right away. It was very organized and stress free. During the reception my husband and I had a special waiter designated just for us at our sweet heart table and he was very kind and accommodating. Eleni was very personable and I felt very comfortable with her. We were so happy to have chosen the Millennium Bostonian Hotel as the location for our wedding reception! We really felt like the entire staff knew who we and our guests were the entire weekend and felt like they were attentive to all of our needs from start to finish. The entire day of our wedding was exactly as we had hoped for as well. The hotel was extremely accommodating by setting aside two rooms for us the day of our wedding; one that was used for me, my mom, and bridesmaids to get ready in the morning before heading off to our ceremony, and another room that we used with our photographers to take a family group shot of 30 people - this was really important to my side of the family!
Additionally, we couldn't have been happier with Eleni Granas, the catering manager/wedding coordinator at the hotel. We only worked with her for a short time, as she was recently hired, but she is really friendly and professional, making it easy to work with her and giving you the confidence that the wedding is going to go extremely well, which it did! I only wish we worked with her longer, as she was wonderful! She made sure to make sure everything was perfect from the time she started with us. She went over all details with us for the day and coordinated with vendors beforehand, ensuring everything was as we wanted. Eleni also checked in periodically with us and the bridal party throughout the actual wedding day to see if there was anything we needed. She is very professional and has a great personality!
In addition, the whole reception was set up beautifully. It was the perfect downtown wedding location, and all of our guests enjoyed the views from the ballroom, which overlooks Faneuil Hall. The space itself was also perfect for our 110 guests; enough space for dining and dancing!

The Millennium Hotel is a beautiful venue that has everything you need for a picturesque Boston wedding without putting yourself over budget. The view of Faneuil Hall is gorgeous from the ballroom and the staff did an amazing job setting up the hall for both our ceremony and reception. All of our guests raved about the food and the venue the whole night. The only problem with the Millennium was that we worked with 2 different wedding day coordinators during the year and a half while we were planning our wedding. This was very stressful since two months prior to our wedding date I was not informed that the wedding coordinator was no longer with the venue and I had been attempting to contact her for several weeks. Although the sales manager took over the coordinating responsibilities for our wedding day, the whole experience was very stressful at the end. We were very glad that we had hired a DJ/coordinator to help ensure that everything ran smoothly the day of the wedding. All of the staff were very nice and helpful, but I think that things could have run more smoothly if we had the same coordinator throughout. The Millennium Hotel is a beautiful venue that has everything you need for a picturesque Boston wedding without putting yourself over budget.
