We were married at The Boat Club in September and it was, without exaggeration, the perfect wedding day from start to finish.
From our very first inquiry, Bella (the venue’s event coordinator) was an absolute dream to work with. She is warm, responsive, incredibly organized, and truly cares about making your vision come to life. Every question was answered quickly, every idea was met with enthusiasm, and she guided us through the planning process with ease. On the wedding day itself, Bella and the entire staff executed everything flawlessly, we didn’t have to worry about a single detail.
The venue itself is stunning. We rented all three of the banquet spaces (ceremony, dinner, and reception) which allowed us to have the entire wedding in one gorgeous location. Our ceremony overlooked the water, with cocktail in the courtyard, dinner was served in the Harborview Room, and the reception continued late into the night in their larger August Fitger's Room. Not having to shuttle guests between locations made the day so relaxed and enjoyable for everyone.
The food was outstanding. We had wonderful apps during cocktail hour, and a pasta buffet for dinner, they even had gluten free options set aside for our guests with dietary restrictions. The bar service was top-notch all night long, keeping up with a very thirsty group of guests. The entire staff was professional, attentive, and happy to be part of our celebration.
The Boat Club. Bella and the staff made our wedding day absolutely perfect, and we couldn’t be more grateful. Highly, highly recommend!

We had our wedding initially in the courtyard at Fitger’s, but due to weather, had to change it last minute to the August Fitger room. Bella was very responsive and got us all set up in a short time period for the sudden change. The venue was still beautiful! We had a great experience overall and wouldn’t change a thing!
Bella was very responsive the entire 11 months planning up to our wedding day, and got back to us very quickly with any questions or concerns we had. She also met with us a few times to ensure everything was planned accordingly and all the details were correct.
Food was wonderful! And service was great - the bartenders were very responsive and super nice!
We had the best day! Fitgers and the Boat Club were amazing, highly recommend! -

Book here for a great stress free night!
My husband and I cannot recommend the Boat Club enough! We had our rehearsal dinner there this past weekend and it was nothing short of a breeze to work with. Bella was amazing and was super communicative during the whole planning process. Everything was so smooth. The food was amazing. The service and bartender was spectacular. Also, there’s nothing worst than being quoted an estimated cost of something only to have it be no where close as we hosted beer and wine. BUT! It was under the estimated cost and was amazing. You would not regret having your dinner or special day here! 11/10. -

Where do we even begin! Everything about having our wedding at the Boat Club was absolutely perfect. Throughout the whole planning process, Bella was very responsive, professional and answered all my questions with great insight and support. Days leading up to the wedding, Bella was flexible and helped make sure every detail went off without a hitch. Also huge shoutout to our bartender Chris and all of the serving staff that made the day run seamlessly. During the planning process and the day of the wedding, I felt like I was planning my wedding with a friend I had known for years. There are no other words to describe the day, it was magical and I would not change anything about it! -

Very attentive and helpful
Incredibly friendly staff, supportive, and spontaneous with small details. Bella was so flexible and helped us even when we had to make a change in our plans close to the event. My wife and I celebrated our marriage at the Boat Club Restaurant on a beautiful fall evening this past September. We were searching for a small and intimate venue in Duluth that could show off how beautiful this city is. I received a recommendation for a women named Bella who was the Banquets and Event Manager at the Boat Club Restaurant. I emailed her inquiring about venue spaces, and we were touring the Fireside Room at our first availability.
My wife and I were immediately enamored by the Fireside Room, a room that includes a walkout to a spacious courtyard that towers over the Lakewalk below while overlooking Lake Superior. This was exactly the venue we were picturing when we would talk about our wedding day; a small, yet beautiful setting for us to be surrounded by the people closest to us and to celebrate our love. It was perfect. We had received, and signed, the wedding contract the next business day and our countdown had officially begun.
Working with Bella made my wife and I’s planning as easy as possible. Any time we wanted to add something to the venue or if we wanted to make a change about any detail, Bella and her staff were ready to make that change a reality. Her responsiveness via email (phone was also an option, email worked best for me) was always prompt and professional, which took a lot of the stress off my wife and I while planning.
I always thought that people who would say their wedding day was the “best day of their life” were too lazy to think of any of their actual accomplishments or achievements. After having experienced my own wedding day, I can now say without a doubt, that my wedding day was in fact the best day of my life. This is largely due to Bella and her staff at the Boat Club Restaurant for helping make the planning easy and the day carefree. The venue was perfect, the food was excellent, and every aspect of the day and night went exactly how my wife and I envisioned it would. I could not recommend Bella and her staff enough.

My husband and I hosted our wedding rehearsal dinner in one of the private event rooms for roughly 20 people. It was exactly what we were looking for! We opted for the buffet pasta bar which had an option for all of our guests and everyone was really happy. The s'mores bar was the icing on the top of the cake! The staff were friendly and attentive to us and everyone we invited. Our family will definitely keep The Boat Club in mind for future gatherings. -

Bella was the best to work with. I didn’t have a wedding planner but Bella made sure to guide me through the options and gave her recommendations. I felt like a friend was helping me and answering my questions! She was fast in response, detailed, accommodating, and it was such a pleasure to have her apart of our big day!
The staff of our wedding were amazing also. Again, felt like friends! All around amazing experience! So thankful for Fitgers, Bella, and the whole boat club crew who made it happen ❤️

Bella met with me as often as I needed to go over details and answer my questions. She worked with me to figure out how to make the menu best suit our needs and offered suggestions to solve certain problems we might run into. The staff on the night of our wedding was absolutely wonderful, and they served our every need! When my husband and I were away taking pictures, they put together plates of food for us and set them aside before they ran out. The prime rib carving station was absolutely delectable. Thank you so much to this venue for helping us to create this wonderful experience and memorable wedding day. -

When planning a wedding, a lot of time, thought, and attention to detail go into the event. Bella and the rest of The Boat Club team not only helped us throughout each step of the process, but truly went above and beyond. They cared as much as we did about our special day and they made the experience truly perfect. Bella was incredibly thoughtful, caring, and responsive. She went above and beyond and helped us in ways we didn't know we needed. I cannot put into words what a truly remarkable experience we had, but please note that if you are looking to be married in a beautiful location with a dedicated team to make your dreams come true, The Boat Club is your venue. -

Exceptional Wedding Venue
Our guests were constantly telling us how beautiful the Lake Superior setting and the wedding reception was. Working with Bella was so easy - she answered any questions we had promptly and professionally from the first day through the BIG day. Bella and her excellent team had the table settings for decorating ready ahead of schedule - so our decorating with flowers, favors etc were able to be done earlier than planned. The food -from appetizers through dinner was plentiful, served hot and delicious. All these details gave us ample time to relax before the festivities began. We would highly recommend The Boat House for your event.

Bella and team were absolutely amazing! We planned an intimate wedding with family and wedding party in under 2 months. Highly recommend utilizing the Harborview and Fireside rooms to create the perfect blend of indoor and outdoor space. So many great places to take photos with Lake Superior and the Ariel Lift Bridge as the backdrop. There were endless options to customize the day just the way we wanted. -

We got married at the courthouse and invited family to the Boat House afterwards for a celebration dinner - which was still 80 people. We rented two of the adjoining private rooms, and they were perfect. Really beautiful rooms with charming details like brick and fireplaces, and of course the Lake Views - we did not even bring any decorations and everything still looked so nice. Bella was so helpful before the day helping us nail down all the details.
The food was actually amazing, I generally don't expect much from wedding food, but the pasta bar was really delicious. I especially loved the alfredo sauce and multiple guests complimented the sautéed peppers.
Lastly, the bartenders and waitstaff really added to our night - they were all good sports with our fun-loving guests, and they went out of their way to help my Mom who has mobility issues. All in all, Boat House exceeded my expectations. -

Engagement Party- Success!!
We wanted to host an engagement party for our son and his fiance in a space that was beautiful where we could make wonderful memories while enjoying excellent service.
That is the Boat Club's specialty. We loved working with Bella, and the food was fantastic.
Our guests felt cared for by the terrific server and our son and future daughter in law said it was perfect.
Thank you for going above and beyond to make this a special event for us. -

Beautiful views!
We choose the Boat Club for the location, and pricing. We had our ceremony in the courtyard outside of the fireside room. The appetizers and dinner were phenomenal! It was a beautiful, intimate dinner with our family. The kids enjoyed the courtyard space to run around and play. Friendly staff! Bella was timely in her responses to emails and help with decision. Would choose this place all over again!!! -

We were extremely happy with our choice of having our wedding reception at the Boat Club. Anna made planning the event a breeze and was quick and thorough when communicating food and planning. She went above and beyond to help us make our day perfect.
We got filet mignon and creamy chicken rosemary. Our guests could not stop raving about the food. At the end, Jon and staff helped make our services and tear down a breeze. We highly recommend the Boat Club and had a 10/10 experience. -

We booked the August Fitger Room for our Halloween themed wedding through the Boat Club. Anna went above and beyond to cater to our needs. She was prompt about responding to email and was so helpful with all the preparations. The food was AMAZING! I would highly recommend them as an event venue. -

I can't say enough good things about working with Tami and the Boat Club. Throughout every step of the way, they made the process easy, fun, and exciting. The value is amazing...I have heard about so many people spending so much more for far less...the place is breath-taking, the food is outstanding, and Tami suggested a great list of vendors to consider working with that had all worked with the Boat Club before. The staff was second to none...and they knew how to make us and our guests feel first-class! -

My husband, I hosted our wedding event at The Boat Club Restaurant on February 1st, 2020. As it was a destination wedding we hosted multiple meals including our wedding reception dinner. Tami the event planner was not only communicative and flexible in the months leading up to the event, she provided custom options for us based on our desire to keep our event small and unique. During our event which spanned the entire weekend, Tami’s assistant Jessie and the rest of The Boat Club Restaurant Bar & Grill staff were attentive to all of our needs. The Boat Club Restaurant Bar & Grill was also flexible with the menu options and meal selections which was important as I suffer from food allergies. Usually I wouldn’t choose buffet service over plated service because I am rarely impressed with the freshness of the meals, but our meal tasted like it just came out of the oven. It was delicious, hot and served right on time. In addition to the food service, all of the event rooms were simply but impeccably decorated, clean and set based on each of our asks. Even after we asked to hold our ceremony in a room that would have been considered a little too small for our guest numbers, Tami made it work in a way that felt comfortable and inviting. We were so lucky to have chosen The Boat Club Restaurant Bar & Grill as our event venue – we felt so special all weekend because of the fantastic job done by Tami and her team. -

Better than anticipated!
We had planned an outdoor wedding, but with Duluth weather being unpredictable, it did not occur. However, it was better than ever! The room was cozy and enchanted; Tami went out of her way to make the room perfect - romantic and better than ever! It was truly a perfect day! -

The location was perfect, we got the bridge and the fireside room. Tami went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for our wedding. The staff were amazing and even helped us with our last minute requests. They even offered some last minute options that went over extremely well with our guests, I’m talking Bloody Mary’s that could have been garden salads.
We plan on returning for our anniversary next year. I can’t stress enough how much we enjoyed our entire event. Everything went off without a hitch, and under budget! -

Perfect Outdoor Location
The Boat Club far exceeded my expectations! Tami was phenomenal to work with from the start. She is very organized and experienced making our wedding day a breeze. The Boat Club was a great choice for our wedding!
Anna was very responsive in answering questions in the months leading up to our event! It was great working with her. The event staff that served at our reception were very professional and timely. One piece of feedback I have is during the morning of our wedding while we were setting up there was not a designated contact at the Boat Club that could help with our questions. Having a go-to contact person at the venue in the morning would have been helpful. Overall, I am happy we picked the Boat Club for our wedding! -
