We are so happy that we had The Blue Vipers of Brooklyn at our wedding. They were responsive every step of the planning process, learned a requested song for our processional and did a beautiful job accompanying our ceremony and coctail hour. There was a huge rainstorm 15 minutes before our ceremony started and we were nervous that our guests would be miserable. But we heard from multiple guests that they were feeling cozy and romantic standing under the tent and listening to the band. Know that The Blue Vipers were out there setting a lovely mood for our wedding was all we needed to relax. The processional song they learned for us was perfect. I felt like we were in the best hands. Highy recommend! -

The band was great! There were some last minute changes to our schedule, including rain, but they casually went along with the changes. They are a stellar band. Our son plays guitar, and after he performed one of his songs, one band member actually let him try his electric guitar! It was really cool. Also, they dressed up very nicely and fit the mood for a vineyard wedding. -

These musicians were pure magic--setting the tone for our Friday night welcome dinner with class, fun, joy and talent! So many of the guests came up to me and said what a magical night it was and what an amazing band we had. They learned a song for my 94-year-old grandmother, and when I brought her to the dance floor to be serenaded by the band, she glided across the floor grabbing five different men to dance with from the crowd! I've never seen her happier and the music transported her to her days on the dance floor as a young girl. It might be my favorite moment of my whole wedding and we could never have done it without the Blue Vipers of Brooklyn! If you're looking for something special, timeless and a little different for your event, you simply cannot go wrong with The Blue Vipers. I cannot wait to find another way to work with them again! Thank you, thank you, thank you! -

These guys were not only great to work with in the preparations surrounding our wedding, they sounded just great at the event. Song after song of high quality music making, and even in a room of professional musicians, everyone had only high compliments for The Blue Vipers. Highly recommended. -

The Blue Vipers are so talented, and really made our intimate wedding so special. We went to see them in Jersey City, at their regular Thursday night gig, and they were everything we wanted - excellent musicians, playing relaxed and fun 20's and 30's inspired music. We hired them for our 5 hour wedding at Frankie's 457, Memorial Day weekend, and they were troopers about an unplanned downpour, so nice and accommodating throughout the evening, and just a pleasure to set listen to as a background to our day. We can't recommend them highly enough! -

These guys were easy to work with, clear with what they can and can't accomplish, reasonable on their pricing considering the amount of talent they have and were the talk of our wedding reception. Young and old, everyone loved them. We only asked them to learn one song and they did a great job with it. The set they put together was outstanding. I highly recommend them. -

These guys were outstanding! They created the ideal ambiance for mingling, dining and dancing. Set up acoustic for cocktail hour and then plugged in for dinner and dancing. They learned our song for first dance and played it to a T! So good! Can't say enough, highly recommend!! -

Chelsea Sent on 08/27/2015The Blue Vipers of Brooklyn played at my wedding reception in Brooklyn this July. We had the option of having a quartet up to an octet. We went with a quintet, which resulted in a great, full sound and was perfect for the size of the room. Leading up to the wedding I communicated with Chris, the upright bass player, and always found him to be responsive, professional, and friendly. The Blue Vipers were just fantastic! We held our wedding at the Montauk Club, an old club in Park Slope, Brooklyn. Their vibe totally fit the atmosphere. Having live music felt so special! They played a great mix of early jazz, swing, and blues that was thoroughly enjoyed by all our guests of all ages. For instance, it made us so happy to see our 20-something friends dancing to the same songs as our 90-something great uncle. Everyone raved about them and I can't wait to see them play again! (They have a weekly gig at Bar Tabac in Carroll Gardens, BK.) I recommend them 100%! -

User1414606 Sent on 06/23/2013The Blue Vipers of Brooklyn are not a "wedding band". They are just simply an incredible BAND that we were lucky to have play at our wedding. Each member is insanely gifted and together they take you back in time and beyond your venue. They were so responsive and professional every step of the way. They even created and played their own version of a requested tune for our father daughter dance and it was better than I could have imagined. For the quality and talent and service they provided I think the price was very reasonable. They were also all very kind and humble and super pleasant people to do business with and have at your wedding. If you want your guests to be on their feet dancing all night long, hire the Blue Vipers of Brooklyn! As a note... You will be hiring incredible musicians to play music--not a wedding band to host the evening. They do no emcee or make announcements, so make sure you have a friend who can step up to the mic a few times for things like introducing the bride and groom or announcing cake cutting, etc. It was simple and we were happy to have a friend do that and let the musicians do their thing. -

User969124 Sent on 10/11/2012I can't say enough about The Blue Vipers. They have this old school, throw back quality to them, while being edgy and hip at the same time. They were the hit of our day. Everyone danced all night, and if they weren't dancing, they were enthralled, watching this band. We are both musicians and didn't want a 'stock' wedding band. We wanted a kick-ass band we would go to see in a club, and that is exactly what we got. People are still talking about them.
