We had our wedding at Barns of Lost Creek October 1st and this venue was one of the best decisions we made during our wedding planning. Mell, Don, Amy, and all of our vendors were top notch and all went above and beyond during the planning process and day of. The space was huge and our guests had a great time exploring the grounds and all of the adorable buildings. It has the perfect relaxed, romantic vibe and the florals and greenery around the venue really enhance the beauty of this place. With so much help from the owners and the local vendors, we truly got to spend the entire day celebrating and spending time with our guests. -

You have got to visit this place! It is so amazing. It has a rustic charm- many special spaces for your guests to wander and enjoy. Handicap accessible, incredible staff, lots of affordable extras you can utilize to make life easier. Mel and Don are so accommodating to work with and she is also an amazing baker. It could be almost a one stop shop for you. -

Our wedding experience at The Barns of Lost Creek was truly magical, and I'm not just saying that.
We had the most beautiful experience with them - Mel & Don are the nicest people you'll ever meet.
Everyone who came up to me on our wedding day RAVED about how much they loved the venue and how beautiful it was.
We had perfect weather - so we definitely got lucky - but we absolutely loved that our family was free to roam on the farm, play games outside, and the kids loved chasing after the chickens and checking out the sheep.
I truly can't imagine another place that would have made our day so perfect.
Mel & Don were so helpful and attentive to us and made our day (and wedding planning) as seamless as possible.
I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a cozy, nature-focused, beautiful venue for your big day! -

Fantastic experience
Mell and Don are wonderful to work with. They went above and beyond in the planning process and on the day of to make our day special. They also made our appetizers which we thought were excellent and we heard many compliments on them. Mell and Don are so on top of things, very responsive, and very flexible on how we wanted to do things. We can’t say enough about how fabulous this venue and Mell and Don are. Book this place! You’ll be glad you did! We wish everyone as magical and fun of a wedding as we had. -

The Barns of lost Creek is a hidden gem!
The owners are great & extremely accommodating. The venue rental includes separate spaces for your ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, & dance. Plus plenty of extra outside areas for your guests to sit & relax, play yard games, or even explore the farm (including farm animals). The best part is they have different rental options if you’re on a budget. They also provide you with a great list of local wedding services (such as caterers & DJs), or you can bring your own. The venue is so nicely staged you don’t even have to decorate… but they love it when you do! -

It’s honestly hard to find the words for how grateful we are that we chose The Barns of Lost Creek to host our wedding. This venue is obviously gorgeous, but what makes it really special is the owners, Mell and Don. They are so kind, accommodating, easy to work with, and they really thought of every detail. Everything about our day felt perfect and most of that had to do with how much love and care they put into their business and into our experience. I will recommend this place to every person who needs to host an event - it’s perfect! -

This venue is absolutely breathtaking!! It is a gorgeous venue. It took the photographer a long time to figure out possible photo locations since everywhere you turn is a photo opportunity. Mel and Don are the absolute best. They went above and beyond our expectations. They work so diligently to make sure your wedding day is everything you want it to be! It was also a bonus that the barn is so unique and decorated brilliantly that the need for extra decorations and accent pieces was minimal. I would highly recommend to anyone who is a looking for a barn wedding. Mel and Don truly take pride in making the wedding day go according to plan! I couldn’t be happier that we chose this venue!! -

Brathol Wedding
Best wedding venue ever! Don and Melissa were so accommodating and made our day perfect during covid. Our guest felt safe and they made sure our event went smoothly. Mel made sure all my ideas came true and helped me along the way with vendors and questions. We also went with Mel for our desserts as she is a spectacular baker.
The venue itself hosts outdoor and indoor options which is great for Wisconsin weather during summer and autumn. There are bathrooms and bridal suites available onsite as well. Don and Melissa are great about accommodating any idea and their staff is amazing. We would recommend this place 100 times over. The Barns of Lost Creek is the best packaged deal around! -

We had our wedding here on October 3rd and it was so magical! Mell and Don are the most amazing people to work with. Their venue is fun, unique, beautiful, and we received so many compliments from our guests on it! Mell and Don also made the process of wedding planning (especially during COVID) a breeze! Mell answered all my questions in a timely manner and was extremely helpful in offering advice and suggestions when needed. They went above and beyond in every manner and I truly can't thank them enough. I would HIGHLY recommend this venue to everyone! We couldn't be happier with how our wedding turned out! -

The perfect rustic barn wedding venue
My husband and I were married at The Barns of Lost Creek a few weeks ago and our wedding was absolutely perfect! We loved the venue from the moment we toured it over a year ago. The entire property is so beautiful and thoughtfully decorated and we loved that we hardly needed to add any decorations. All of the flowers were in bloom for our wedding which made the grounds look and smell amazing!
Mell and Don were a dream to work with as well! They are both so sweet and laid back which we so appreciated. They went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect. Trying to plan a wedding during a pandemic was not the easiest, but they bent over backwards to be as flexible as possible and help us in any way they could which took SO much stress off of us. I can't even express how thankful we are that they made wedding planning so easy!
We would 1000% recommend The Barns of Lost Creek for any couple who is looking for a rustic barn wedding. You will not be disappointed! -

Most Beautiful Venue and Helpful Staff!
This was the perfect venue for us! We loved the atmosphere, and the owners are extremely helpful and accommodating. We dreamed of an outdoor wedding, and the location had multiple outdoor spots to choose from, but the barns were so beautiful that we wouldn't have been upset if weather moved our ceremony to be inside one of the barns. Decorating was super easy because both barns are already decorated beautifully. We especially loved this location because it accommodates ceremony and reception. We live in the Twin Cities, and found the Barns of Lost Creek easy to find and an easy drive. Overall, are experience was wonderful, we hope our friends have their weddings here because we want any excuse to go back! -

Beautiful, Artistic, Attentive
A few weeks ago we got married at the most beautiful venue we could even imagine. The Barns of Lost Creek spoke to us when we first visited in August of 2018. Since the very beginning we adore Mell and Don. Their attention to detail and wholehearted thoughtfulness will never go unnoticed. From the moment you pull in, it is obvious these two work their tails off. The grounds are beautifully decorated and landscaped. The antiques are artfully picked and you can't help but wonder the story and life behind them.
The morning of our wedding, the weather was not ideal. It was cold, windy and rainy. This is something you obviously cannot control, but Mell and Don were prepared and ready for this prior to our arrival with heaters ready and warm. Throughout the entire day they ran around helping wherever they could. Don even waited outside the bridal suite and walked me to the main barn for our ceremony with a HUGE umbrella. I'm happy he didn't blow away! Our wedding day could have quite possibly been a mess if it weren't for these two. We are not the most organized couple but Mell and Don helped guide us since day one.
Getting married at a venue that is created from love is truly special. The Barns of Lost Creek will always have a special place in our hearts.
Thank you Mell and Don, much love to you and hope you have a wonderful, restful winter - you deserve it!

Mell and Don are professional, genuine, and extremely helpful. My husband and I were married at the venue on 9/29/2019. The grounds are beyond beautiful. The barn, dining hall and other out buildings are so beautifully decorated that we really didn't need to add to it. It was the perfect day at the perfect place. I highly recommend this venue. -

Mellissa and Don were such gracious hosts and so helpful to my daughter and I during the entire wedding process. Being from out of state, Mellissa always returned phone calls and emails promptly and gave great suggestions on vendor options and decorating ideas. Their property is very beautiful and we received a lot of compliments on our venue choice. If you are looking for a rustic wedding venue, this place is an awesome choice! -

I don't like to give the best score possible on reviews and tests, but I literally could not have asked for better from The Barns of Lost Creek. My husband and I had our wedding reception there last month and Mellissa, Don and their crew were INCREDIBLE from start to finish. Mellissa was so accommodating and flexible and she and her crew did a Flawless job keeping everything running smoothly.
Beyond the team being incredible and Melissa answering all of my (MANY MANY) questions quickly and concisely, the venue is simply gorgeous. It was the perfect space for our celebration and I would absolutely recommend it to Everyone. -

I loved working with Mel and her husband, they are great hosts for their beautiful venue. They provide little extras like coffee, water, twinkle lights in the barn, and table runners. The only thing I wish were different was if there were bathrooms in the getting ready building and not just the barn, but that wasn't the end of the world! Such an amazing place to have a wedding! -

Worth Every Penny!
Mell and Don went above and beyond in every way! We planned our wedding from across the country and Mell was always there to answer questions from us, our parents, or any of our vendors. Even being sweet enough to answer all the same questions 100 times over!They both offered us so much support for the weeks leading up the wedding-from extra walk throughs of the venue, to helping up plan the day-of flow for a seamless party, to helping set up and coordinate with our other vendors on our wedding day so we didn't have to worry about it. We could not have asked for a better team! And what a beautiful venue! I think we saw it in every season and Mell and Don where always working on improving it. You could not go wrong to book your wedding with Mell and Don and The Barns of Lost Creek! -

My husband and I were married at this gorgeous wedding venue 10/5/18- our day was more incredible than we could have even imagined thanks to venue owners, Mellissa and Don!
They were so easy to work with and ensure your day runs smoothly. They both go above and beyond and are willing to do whatever to help.
The barns are decorated so beautifully you almost have to do nothing yourself for decor! The grounds are kept up wonderfully including beautiful gardens, apple trees, and one of the best touches is the chickens and turkeys, that if wanted, can be roaming the property while you're there!
We really are so thankful Mell and Don welcomed us to their home to create and remember one of the most important days of our lives- you really can't find a better venue than this! -

Mell and Don the owners are wonderful to work with and they do a lot of work to make sure we didn't have too! Everyone at the wedding said it was the coolest venue ever! And you can pick your own food vender and bring in your own alcohol! Amazing, highly recommended to anyone wanting a barn wedding/reception! ~Amanda & Jake -

Mel and her team are fantastic and helped us throughout the day- even calling the caterer for us when he was late! She and her husband Don really work hard to make sure your big day is special and worry-free. Highly recommended.

Corey Sent on 12/07/2017My husband and I can't rave enough about Mell and Don and the amazing venue they have created. The ambiance is absolutely amazing. It is affordable! You get that rustic barn feel while still having a very well executed reception. I am an extremely type A personality and Mell was great to work with. She was extremely responsive and since we opted for the more budget friendly catering option (separate food vendors served by Mell's staff) I was able to feel confident that every detail was accounted for. The dining hall was amazing and both bar set ups were perfect. So many of our guests couldn't get over how amazing the venue looked and the courtesy of the staff. They loved how it was kid friendly (the most gorgeous roosters, chickens to view). Mell and Don pour their heart and souls into this venue and it shows. Even with the outdoor elements to contend with, All the floors were scrubbed and bathrooms fresh and clean - just what you would expect for your wedding day. I wish we could get married over and over again, and every time I would choose the Barns of the Lost Creek. I am already trying to come up with other events to host here!

Leah Sent on 12/07/2017The Barns of Lost Creek was amazing! We planned our wedding from overseas so we were not able to tour the venue before we booked it. We were NOT disappointed! Throughout the planning process Mellissa was super helpful and always responded to my emails quickly. She and Don went above and beyond, letting us use the site for both our rehearsal dinner and our wedding. The location is great, especially the fact that the bride and groom each have separate buildings to get ready in before the ceremony. Also - REAL bathrooms in the barn! Because we hadn't seen the venue ourselves we decided to hire a truckload of decorations to fill the space in the barn - but looking back at it, we really didn't need to - Mellissa and Don have collected so many cool and eclectic antiques and decorations already, the space is beautiful as is. The property is also large enough for people to roam freely and explore, while remaining small and intimate at the same time. Overall SO pleased with our venue choice, from beginning to end. It made for a great day!

Allie Sent on 11/01/2017Wanting a rustic/vintage barn wedding? LOOK NO FURTHER. I can't say enough good things about The Barns of Lost Creek venue. We held both our rehearsal dinner and wedding at The Barns, and both evenings were PERFECT. The property is breathtaking, the barns photograph incredibly, and Mell and Don go ABOVE AND BEYOND to ensure the space becomes your own and everything runs smoothly. Their knowledge, friendly personalities, and willingness to help are worth every penny alone. HIGHLY recommend. You will not be disappointed!!
