  Wedding Experience

  This place was a BEAUTIFUL place! Even the guest were talking about how beautiful it is!! My husband and I loved everything about it. It is more than what we wanted and more! The workers were more an helpful and went above and beyond with everything. Lindsay is a professional, and made me feel at ease the day of the wedding, and she even answered all of my crazy questions! I would recommend this place!

  Simply Amazing!

  Lindsay and the entire staff at the Barn via Hornbaker Gardens did such an amazing job with our special day! We did not have to worry about anything in terms of random issues due to their flawless efforts to manage everything efficiently and effectively. Making the decision to utilize this venue and team will forever stand as a heartwarming memory as we remember this day for the rest of our lives!

  Lindsay and the entire staff at the Barn via Hornbaker Gardens did such an amazing job with our special day!   We were so happy we chose The Barn!

  We got married at the The Barn in January of 2023 and could not have asked for a more perfect venue for both our wedding and reception. While the grounds are absolutely beautiful regardless of the time of year, one of the main selling points for us was working with Lindsay. The first time we visited and met her I knew she would be incredibly helpful through all the phases of planning and the day of our wedding - and she did not disappoint! From her recommendations on vendors, quick turnaround time on any and all questions, and her willingness to jump in and take care of whatever was needed the day of, she was an integral part of our wedding! The rest of the staff at The Barn is top notch, too! Since we had both our ceremony and reception in the main room, they had to convert the space immediately following the ceremony and they had it done in no time. Lindsay assured us it would be quick and painless, but they far surpassed our expectations! If you are looking for a wedding venue, I could not begin to recommend The Barn enough. We received so many compliments from our guests!

  Beautiful and Unique Location

  We loved having our wedding here! We had it at the end of October and it was gorgeous. A few rain issues for and outside wedding, but it stopped for the ceremony. Everyone who works there are so accommodating and friendly. They bend over backwards to help you out. They help you find what fits your budget. Renting the venue, it is pricey, but it's a location you and your guests won't forget. There are tons of spots for photos. It rained so I couldn't go to those spots, but that isn't the venues fault at all.

  Fantastic!

  I have wanted to get married at The Barn at Hornbakers since it opened. My dream came true this year and it did not disappoint. Lindsay, our venue coordinator, was absolutely wonderful throughout our planning and made the weekend run smoothly and stress free. They have this down to a science and leave little room for error. The venue was gorgeous through rain and shine and speaks for itself with minimal decor needed to make it beautiful. I cannot recommend this location for your special day enough!

  Perfect Venue!

  This place was beyond what we had hoped to have for a wedding venue. From the building to the grounds, there were countless places to take pictures from. The staff was just as great as the location too. Several of our guests commented on both the beauty of the venue and the friendliness of the staff. I worked with Lindsay as my coordinator and she made sure everything the day of our wedding went off without a hitch. Wouldn't have chosen to get married anywhere else around here! It was truly one of the best days of my life so far and a day I will happily never forget!

  The best of the best

  ATTENTION BRIDES: We had our wedding at the Barn at Hornbaker Gardens in September and it was the best venue ever!! I’m so grateful to have found this place – it was PERFECT!!
  
  First off, lets talk about the Barn layout: it’s absolutely GORGEOUS. The hallways, bathrooms and bride/groom rooms are spacious and I have to tell any newly engaged to-be brides that a venue with air conditioning AND bride/groom rooms are A MUST when checking venues (trust me on this!)
  
  The grand ballroom in the Barn is HUGE. Perfect for receptions. Personally, I feel the pictures on the internet do not show the true size of the room…plus the vaulted wood ceilings create an elegant yet cozy feel. Additionally, the kitchen is larger than one would think; making it easy for caterers to get the job done right. One of the main perks of having a wedding at the Barn is the guests have free range of the ballroom but also the covered patio in the back - guests are able to mingle and mix and be while still being in range of the music and dancing. There is a winding brick layout complete with a fire pit as well in the back of the Barn for Brides who wish to have a fall/winter wedding as well as a set of bags (or “cornhole” or whatever else you call it) for anyone to play (I was grateful to have this at our wedding…it kept our groomsmen busy while the bridesmaids and I were finishing up getting ready)
  
  Surrounding the Barn are acres and acres of lush, gorgeous botanical gardens. As the bride and groom, you have access to the entire ground for pictures (trust me when I say you will be amazed on how large the property is) along with a golf cart for easy access to take an array of pictures. From what I have seen, the changing of the colors no matter what season make a picturesque backdrop to any wedding photo.
  
  
  Now, let’s talk about the Barn staff: No question about it, although the Barn and the surrounding gardens took my breath away when my then-fiancé and I pulled up to the Barn for the first time, it was the Barn Manager, Lindsay, who was one of the main reasons why we chose to have our wedding there.
  
  From day one, we were greeted with a friendly smile and we both felt very comfortable with her. You can tell that not only does Lindsay love her job, but her staff respects her. **On a personal note, I have known Lindsay for over 2 years now so I can attest to her genuine personality! We were a COVID couple and unfortunately had to postpone our wedding a whole year – I cannot tell you how kind and helpful she was to me while I was having my a COVID bridal meltdown and needed to change my wedding date (you da best Linds).
  
  The year leading up to the new wedding date, Lindsay was literally on my speed dial and guided me through every step of the way…no matter what question or concern I had, she answered my texts, calls and emails promptly and always went above and beyond to make sure I had the full picture and knew what to expect (even upon having a second COVID bride meltdown she still answered my calls!) so to say Lindsay is dependable is an understatement…let alone how awesome and fun she is!!! She has years and years in the wedding industry and can handle any curveball thrown her way…SHE IS WONDERFUL. LINDSAY IS ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL.
  
  The day of our actual wedding, I was able to meet more of Lindsay’s staff and they were all so friendly and they definitely knew how to handle a large wedding… we didn’t have to worry about anything that night, Lindsay and her staff had the wedding and all the vendors running like a well-oiled machine…even the bartenders were amazing - not once did I even see a line at the bar! We could just sit back, relax and enjoy the wedding which meant so very much to me after years of wedding planning craziness!!

  Best. Venue. Ever

  We cannot even begin to express how AMAZING the staff at the Barn are! Like many couples, COVID threw a wrench in our plans to get married in June of 2020, and we finally got married on our fourth date this August. Lindsay and her team worked with us every step of the way and made the entire process so easy. They are genuine people who showed us kindness and compassion. We are beyond grateful for their support over the last two years! Aside from the incredible staff, the venue itself is simply stunning. The Barn provides the perfect combination of peace and serenity that we had been searching for. Our guests could not stop raving about the venue and their amazing staff. To everyone at the Barn- thank you, for making our wedding day beyond memorable! If you are reading this and looking for the perfect venue and team to work with, look no further!

  The Barn is so naturally beautiful. The staff is so accommodating and easy to work with. Our coordinator, Samantha, took care of everything the day of so that it was executed perfect. I expected some sort of small hiccup at least during some part of the day but it went so smooth because the staff is so involved and caring.

  Hornbaker & Lindsay = THE BEST

  My now-husband and I were originally planning to do our wedding in the city and had visited a few venues we really liked, but then I discovered Hornbaker Gardens in my research and wanted to check it out. During our visit, we met Lindsay, and she sealed it for us. We wanted Hornbaker for our venue and Lindsay for our coordinator. We postponed our wedding because of COVID, and while planning during the pandemic was incredibly stressful, Lindsay was responsive, flexible, and positive through it all. On our wedding day in July, it poured all day, and I could have been stressed or worried, but with Lindsay managing it all, I really knew either way, it would turn out great. We did end up having to have it all indoors, but it couldn't have been more perfect. Lindsay also had recommendations for all of our vendors, and they were INCREDIBLE (Mark Allen's, Flowers by Julia, Kelsey's Kakes, CampBride, and more). Thank you so much, Lindsay, Samantha, and to the rest of the Hornbaker team for making our wedding day everything we had hoped for.

  Lindsay did not miss a beat the day of my Wedding!

  The moment we drove up to the Barn, we fell IN LOVE with the beauty of this venue and couldn't wait to marry at The Barn. It is a STUNNING venue. I could not speak more highly of both Tara and Lindsay. Tara would check in with me regularly to see if I needed any help with the wedding planning process. Lindsay did not miss a beat the day of my Wedding. She went above and beyond to make sure the day was absolutely perfect. From getting there early to let my makeup girl in to set up to the hand-written note I found in my card box that brought me to tears. She is the most thoughtful and kind person.   The Barn and Lindsay are the best!

  Well, besides it being the most beautiful venue there is, Lindsay is amazing. She assisted us from the start of the planning process to the finish. I discovered the Barn when I was in high school dating my now-husband, and I knew when we got engaged that I wanted our reception to be there. When we got engaged, they were my first stop. My story is one of the unfortunate ones where COVID took every original plan and crushed it, and I never did get to have my wedding reception at the Barn. The experience I had planning with Lindsay, though, is what would bring me back a million times and recommend this beautiful place to everyone. It started out with Lindsay being my coordinator, but it ended with her being my friend. I am so lucky I stumbled across the Barn many years ago and got to meet her. This place is worth every single penny and I highly suggest you hire them for your reception venue!

  I woudn't change a thing!

  We love The Barn and all that the space offers. We were able to create the perfect morning ceremony followed by Brunch! We celebrated all day with friends and family and ate one of the greatest meals ever by Mark Allen's American Kitchen. I wish we could relive this day!

  We love The Barn and all that the space offers. We were able to create the perfect morning ceremony followed by Brunch! We celebrated all day with friends and family and ate one of the greatest meals ever by Mark Allen's American Kitchen. I wish we could relive this day!

  Dream Venue, Dream Wedding

  100000% recommend this wonderful venue. From the moment we toured the place until the final hours of our night, the staff at The Barn at Hornbaker Gardens exceeded our expectations in every way possible. We initially chose this venue because of the BEAUTY of the entire area, but getting to work with both Tara and Lindsay throughout this process was an added, stress-free bonus. The two of them were so kind, helpful, and detail oriented and were so attentive and sweet to me whenever I needed anything or had any questions! We had originally planned to have an outdoor ceremony, but it had literally flooded the night before our wedding forcing us to go with an indoor ceremony as the ground was just way too wet. I was not one bit disappointed to have the ceremony inside because it was still gorgeous and the Barn staff transitioned to the reception set up before we could even blink!! We truly had the perfect day at the PERFECT place. THANK YOU Hornbaker Gardens for a day we will cherish forever!

  Jaw-Dropping Venue

  I just recently had my wedding held at the barn and I couldn’t have asked for a more gorgeous venue. Lindsay was my go-to person for all my questions and requests and she did a FANTASTIC job. I got the most beautiful photos taken on the grounds. There are some absolutely gorgeous spots to take the most incredible pictures that cannot be replicated anywhere else!

  I just recently had my wedding held at the barn and I couldn’t have asked for a more gorgeous venue. Lindsay was my go-to person for all my questions and requests and she did a FANTASTIC job.   Our daughter was married and held her reception at The Barn at Hornbaker’s, and I cannot share enough positive words to accurately convey how exceptional their services, and consequently, our experience was.
  
  Lindsay and Tara were professional, warm, communicative, helpful, calm, and encouraging throughout the entire process. Their staff was second-to-none. Every person went beyond expectations to help everything run smoothly. Just one example of their guest care was when one of our guests arrived to the Barn with just fumes in his gas tank and a newborn in the family. A staff member secured gasoline from somewhere on the property so this guest could make it to the nearest gas station after the reception.
  
  The grounds and facility made a stunning backdrop to the wedding ceremony and reception. Every season is beautifully picturesque here.
  
  The vendors with whom they work are wonderful. Hornbaker’s has a list of tried-and-true vendors to help your event e a success. We hired Mark Allen’s as our caterer, and they were exceptional.

  Hands down amazing experience

  We knew from the minute we saw the venue that it was going to be the one we chose for our wedding. Lindsay was the one who did our tour and she was also our coordinator for our wedding. Without her our wedding would not have been the same. She is extremely responsive and answered all of my questions (all 200 of them) extremely fast and without any hesitations. She worked with our vendors seemlessly even the ones she’s never worked with in the past. Not a single thing went wrong at our wedding and I can say without a doubt that would not have happened anywhere else. The venue is absolutely gorgeous and Lindsay’s attention to detail and help throughout the process made everything perfect. She also did the flowers for our wedding and took in everything that I wanted. I HIGHLY recommend working with them! We will forever be thankful that we did!

  The Barn at Hornbaker Gardens was beyond amazing for our June 2018 wedding. Not only is it a fairytale setting, but the staff are INCREDIBLE. We had the privilege of working with Lindsay on our wedding, and she also did all of our flowers. She is AMAZING, both in her role as venue coordinator and florist. She replies to email and phone calls quickly, is always full of helpful advice and recommendations, and she worked with all our vendors to make our day flow smoothly. Our flowers were out of this world beautiful, and at a price that’s almost too good to be true; we could not be happier. We held our ceremony outdoors under the beautiful new arch (decorated by Lindsay!) and had the Barn staff run our sound, including all the processional and recessional music and microphones for our officiant and readers. They did a great job—they were so professional, what a great service to include! The Barn includes so many details, like the tables and chairs, the bride & groom’s rooms, the barware & glasses for tables, the patio space, even small details like the bags game--it’s just the best you’ll find in central IL! The bar service was also amazing, and Lindsay worked with us to get a package that would work for our wedding, which was incredibly reasonably priced for a 200-person wedding. Honestly, we were sold the second we walked in—we would have paid all over again just to get to take our photos on their beautiful grounds!! I am SO happy we had our dream wedding here; it was absolutely gorgeous, and the staff were incredible—they made everything so easy for us on the planning side, and it was SO well executed on our wedding day! Cannot recommend this venue and these awesome people highly enough!
