Make it your first stop!

I was so nervous about dress shopping. Wedding dresses are often big and can make you feel very large and uncomfortable when you try them on, especially if you are plus size. I tried a couple other stores in the area first and took a big hit to my self esteem. I didnt give up, but I felt like I was going to have to settle for a dress that I didn't feel pretty in. Barefoot Bride was the answer! I felt pretty in every single gown Joelle pulled and ended up choosing between two incredible, special options. She was a wonderful help and so positive and fun and real. We had an amazing time here and got a great deal on a gorgeous wedding gown (they have off the rack and they can order as well). Make this your first stop!

Great experience. Found the wedding of my dreams

I absolutely loved this boutique. They have a large variety of dresses in many sizes. I loved how personal it all felt as I was the only one there along with my family. I bought both my dress and veil from there. Highly recommend.

My Experience was a Dream!

I was SO nervous about wedding dress shopping because I struggle with my self-esteem during regular shopping. I couldn't imagine that this would be anything other than a terrible experience. The Barefoot Bride made the experience absolutely amazing! I've never felt more beautiful and I didn't try a single dress on that I didn't feel comfortable in. The first dress I tried on was my dress, but my stylist didn't give up trying to outdo it! I had so much fun, and I don't think anyone could go wrong with making them your first stop!

Amazing experience! Every bride should visit!

I had such an amazing experience at The Barefoot Bride. When I first got engaged, I was so worried about finding the perfect dress. As a plus size bride, I had heard horror stories from other brides about their experiences at other stores, and not feeling like they had anything to try on.

At the recommendation of a friend, I made Barefoot Bride my first (and only) stop for wedding dress shopping. The selection was amazing, but more than that, Amy and the rest of the team at Barefoot Bride made me feel beautiful and special. From the beginning, they made it clear that wedding dress sizing was arbitrary and to instead focus on the dress being made to suit me, instead of vice-versa. I never saw a size or measurement while trying on dresses. The dresses were sorted by adjectives that correlated to sizing (example: beautiful, gorgeous, stunning). This helped me stay out of my head while shopping and instead focus on the wonderful experience! The second gown that they picked out for me turned out to be "the one." I've received so many compliments on my dress, both at my wedding in Hawaii and my celebration back home in Mississippi. I tell every bride that I meet, especially ones that I know who struggle with body image or sizing, to make sure they start their planning with a trip to the Barefoot Bride!

Amazing Experience

Barefoot Bride made wedding dress shopping such a fun and positive experience. I had previously tried on dresses elsewhere and left feeling horrible about myself, but Cristin Cook made me feel beautiful inside and out throughout the entire day!! Absolutely wonderful!

Service was great! We were the only ones there, so your service is very personal, and you don’t feel like they are herding you through. I really felt like they listened to what I wanted and picked things I liked. It was something different than I had in my head, but it was perfect!

Amazing shop!!

I found my dream dress at The Barefoot Bride! I looked online ahead of time before my appointment and saw the most perfect dress! I showed them the dress I wanted to try on and it was the one! Wonderful experience

Treasure Trove of the Most Beautiful Gowns!

This is the most amazing bridal shop. I was nervous at first because I worried about how I would find my dress in just an hour, but the shop is such a treasure trove for beautiful designer gowns at a discounted rate that it is hard not to spot something you love quickly. Even if you don’t find a dress right away or want to take more time to think about it, you can set multiple appointments. The team was a dream to work with. They were all so hospitable (offering beverages) and were the sweetest ladies. Unlike other bridal shops, I didn’t feel any pressure to say yes to a dress that I was unsure about. They make it very clear that there is no pressure to commit. I ended up finding the most amazing dress within my budget that was perfect for me. It is a designer dress that retailed for twice the cost that I paid before it was discontinued. I never dreamed I could own something as beautiful as that. The quality of the dress was superb as it lasted all night through crazy dancing and walking through rain puddles. Give this shop a chance and become a barefoot bride!!

It was amazing

The moment I walked through the door I was greeted my sweet smiles. Everyone in this shop was super friendly and you don’t have to worry if your being judged because they go by appointment only. So it's just you, your entourage and the consultant! They’re very personable with you and know their stuff! It only took me 5 dresses before I found the perfect one, but that was only because my consultant was awesome! I couldn’t recommend this shop enough and not to mention the prices are amazing!

One of a kind experience

Beautiful Bargains

Barefoot Brides was my first and only stop for buying my wedding dress. I love finding a bargain and you definitely can at barefoot brides. Your appointment will be totally exclusive to the bride- just one consultant and whoever you choose to bring. The shopping experience is fun, but also worthwhile in trying to find your dream dress!

They are so personal and amazing!

I only went to two places to look for wedding dresses. The first place didn’t even ask us our budget so I found a dress I loved but it was over budget. So I decided to go to Barefoot bride and the first thing they asked was what was our budget. They found me a dress that I absolutely loved and made me forget about the other dress. They make you feel so special by being the only one in the store when you shop. They offer you champagne and really help you find what you want. I found the dress of my dreams and it was under our budget!! They were amazing.

I visited the store a few weeks ago, and had a wonderful experience. You have the whole store to yourself, and I found more than one gorgeous gown within the hour. I didn't feel the slightest bit of pressure to buy anything even though I'd planned to choose between two favorites I tried. They offer champagne during your appointment, and they were nice enough to send us home with some as we'd brought our own. My plans for venue/date quickly and unexpectedly changed after my appointment here, so I now need to revisit dress shopping. I will most definitely be going back here.

Barefoot Bride is a wonderful boutique with a huge selection of dresses to choose from. I loved that they had dresses of all sizes and styles! I found my dream dress here! I went to several different bridal shops, and the Barefoot Bride was my absolute favorite! Amy helped me both times I came to visit, and she was the nicest, happiest, most helpful person I worked with while looking for my dress. I never felt rushed in the shop, and I didn’t feel like just another customer. The whole shop is yours for the hour you spend with them. They have a ton of dresses, and I was able to find and try on more than enough in my price range. Amy talked through what I liked in a dress and then helped me find some like I was looking for. The Barefoot Bride was extremely nice and helpful with scheduling a second appointment on short notice. I bought my dress and a veil that perfectly matches it, and I would definitely recommend all brides visiting the shop to see what they have to offer you!

The sweet lady at barefoot is very sweet, professional, and knows her stuff when it comes to wedding dresses! Gave her my size, the image of the perfect dress in my head, and she pulled a handful for me to try on. The 3rd dress tried on was the one. Tried on a few more and went back to #3. I got married over 2 years ago and still think about what a GREAT experience Barefoot Bride was. Joelle was so professional, fun, and not pushy at all! The one on one with her was amazing. I didn't feel like I was just another sale to them. I found my dream dress at a great price. I loved that they respected my budget and were not pushy at all. Words cannot describe how i feel about this bridal shop. I was recently affected by the closing of the Alfred Angelo store in California. I had found my dream dress fell in love and ordered it and placed my deposit. Come to find out just 4 weeks later they were closing all stores and orders would not be made and delivered. I was in tears this weekend with the thought of having to find a dress again knowing it wouldn't be like the first one. After some searching I found the website for the barefoot bride advertising my dream dress in my size! I emailed the store and received a call back within 20 minutes. They were so sympathetic to the whole situation and so willing to help anyway they could... Well they had my dress and could ship it to Me! She text me pictures of the dress sp i could see it a verify thag it was in fact my dress.I was over the moon and broke down in tears realizing I was going to get my dream dress! So I may have started out as an Alfred Angelo Bride but I am forever going to associate myself as a barefoot bride!

Had a wonderful experience purchasing my gown, belt, and veil here. All the dresses are so beautiful and having the personal attention of just one appointment at a time is so nice. I was going back and forth about a dress and wanted to sleep on my decision and as soon as I called the next day to let them know the one I wanted it, they pulled it and had it ready and waiting for me. Just know in advance you aren't allowed to touch the dresses when viewing them. They do this so they stay pristine for each bride, but it is so hard not to want to touch them I had to hold my hands back! Lol. My dress held up beautifully the day of the wedding and I put it through some torture walking through tall grass, leaves and dirt. The lace did not snag or tear and the dress did not stain. I saved over $400 off the retail price of my dress. Thank you barefoot bride for making me look perfect on my big day!

I shopped in NYC Texas online and more! But then I found the barefoot bride! I found the most gorgeous dress! The owner is so awesome and she truly knows how to make you a gorgeous bride and listens to what you want and makes it happen! She helped me customize my look and I have never gotten more compliments on anything! Also I only spent 1500 on a very very very expensive dress!

The Barefoot Bride is the ONLY place to go in Memphis. The staff is extremely attentive and patient and you get a 1 on 1 experience. They knew exactly what style I wanted by my brief description and were conscious of my budget. This was the first and only shop I went into. I had a very vague idea of what I wanted and the woman who owns the shop was able to figure it out from the 2 pictures I showed her. My dress was literally the 4th one I tried on--we were there for a grand total of 30 minutes. She is GOOD at what she does. Not only that, but it was literally 1/2 the cost of what it would have been if I bought it at a regular salon. I felt beautiful on my big day, thank you SO MUCH for your help!

The shop is adorable and bursting with beautiful, unique, designer dresses. Joelle is incredibly sweet. She sets up individual time slots (a huge blessing, with privacy!), and she saw/understood my vision right away.
It was the first shop I went to (I'd walked into a chain store and walked right out knowing it was not going to work for me) and after looking at a few pictures, she grabbed a few dresses and went to work.
"The one" was only a couple dresses in. She helped me take pictures (I'm new to the region and all of my 'people' are out of state) and noted that I had actual goosebumps in the one particular dress. We still tried others.
She wrote down that dress and made me promise to go to at least one more shop but call if I couldn't stop thinking of the dress. I couldn't. I scheduled another appointment to come back for it the next week. She held it for me without money down over the phone until that appt.
In the meantime, I went to other shops and far lower quality/lesser brand dresses were three times the price.
She works hard to get beautiful gowns for reasonable prices and it is a fantastic experience.
Her referral for alterations allowed me to customize the designer dress into precisely what I was looking for and it was positively perfect.
I couldn't say enough good things about Joelle or Barefoot Bride if I tried.
I feel blessed to have had this experience.

Joelle is AMAZING! I made an appointment, which she was very flexible with, and went in there with my Mom and Dad with no real clue what I was doing. Joelle helped me figure out exactly what I was looking for, and she knew way before I did. She was so patient and helpful. I recommend her to everyone I know who is looking for a wedding dress. I had heard lots of good things from the Barefoot Bride and really wanted to set up an appointment with them. My family last minute decided to go look at wedding dresses before I left for school, so when I found out that they were by appointment only, I didn't know if I would be able to get in. I called (end of July) and was told that the only available appointments during their late hours wasn't available until the end of November. I was put on the waiting list though and was contacted the next day and was told that there had been a cancellation so I was able to set up an appointment. They had lots of dresses, just unfortunately not a big selection in my size. They said that sizes 6-10 were difficult to come by- which just happened to be the category that I fell into. The woman who helped us was very nice, and I really enjoyed the experience.

The Barefoot Bride was the first and last stop on my wedding gown hunt. I admit I made an appointment here and Low's the following weekend, thinking I'd get an idea of what I wanted and then snag a major discount on a dress at Low's semi-annual sale. Boy, was I wrong for doubting the selection and experience at The Barefoot Bride.
I called to make an appointment and within an hour, I'd received a text with dates and times available. I went in with my maid of honor and one bridesmaid. I tried on eight dresses. Nathalie was there to assist me with picking out dresses in my price range, explain what fabrics and styles may be a bit more costly, what styles and cuts fit certain body types best, etc. She was so informative and helpful. She pulled dresses I never would have looked at twice. All her picks were the ones I liked best. The last dress I tried on was the dress! I was very nervous about making such a big purchase, especially with it being my first appointment and my wedding date so far away. Nathalie offered to hold the dress for me, despite having several other appointments that day. She gave me a follow up appointment for the next Saturday, and told me if I decided for sure I did or didn't want the dress, all I had to do was call and she'd put it back on the floor or make sure no one tried it on until I came to pick up. I came in the next Saturday. Joelle was there this time. She was on her A game...just bubbling with personality and knows her stuff. She already had names and contact information for bridesmaid dress boutiques, alterations, etc. She gave me all the info, suggestions on alterations, dates and timelines for ordering bridesmaids dresses and having alterations made. She is just wonderful!! She and Nathalie made my wedding dress shopping experience so lovely. Best part was my dress was $600 off retail!!!

The Barefoot Bride should definitely be on every bride's radar!!!! They are appointment only so you are the only one there, there are dresses for everyone's taste and you can take it home that day! After a very rough (and indecisive) weekend of what was supposed to be bridal gown shopping, I contacted The Barefoot Bride on a Monday and was sitting in the beautiful shop on Tuesday. It was just the owner and I which really made for a peaceful experience (she only allows one bride in the shop at a time). I gave her the basics about me as a person and my future hubby, our wedding style, and a couple of things that I liked about different dresses I had tried on this past weekend. She immediately had a dress in mind and within 10 minutes I was in what would become THEE wedding dress of my dreams! No fuss, no frills, no hassle, no change of mind, no "I like this part but not so much this part"...it was literally the perfect dress! After going to several big name bridal salons and finding dresses that were gorgeous but well above my price point, I wondered if I would ever find my dress. Barefoot Bride turned out to be the perfect experience. You are the only person being taken care of in the shop, so you never feel as if your consultant is distracted. I never felt pushed to shop above my budget or settle on something right away. They get in new dresses all the time, so I could always come back!I found my dress for a fraction of what I would have paid at a bigger salon, and I couldn't be happier. Barefoot Bride does not do alterations, but they give you a list of people they recommend. Personally I thought it was nice that I could take my dress home with me right away, instead of having to order a dress and then hope it would be altered on time. Overall, it was a delightful experience with great customer service.

After visiting several other area bridal shops, our time at Barefoot Bride was by far our favorite!! It was so fun to be in that beautiful shop entirely on our own, and Joelle treated my daughter like a princess! After trying on multitudes of dresses and not finding "the one" she suggested we take a break and not rush into anything...we ended up finding her dress at another shop but wanted to go back to BB to purchase a sash to complete the look. We were so pleased with the fabulous wedding dress that we purchased at Barefoot Bride in January of 2013 for our daughter Rachel's wedding on July 13th, 2013. We had a wonderful experience at the Barefoot Bride. It seemed fitting to go to a place called the Barefoot Bride in Memphis for my beach wedding as well. :) We made an appointment so we were the only ones there, which made the experience more special to me. I had a certain type of dress in mind, but we all fell in love with a dress that Joelle asked me to try on. I actually had an appointment in Brinkley, AR that afternoon and cancelled because I found my dress thanks to Joelle!

This, hands down, the most wonderful bridal store that I visited during my search for a dress. The owner was very relatable and professional. You could tell that she really knew her stuff! I tried on several dresses that I thought I would love, but none of them felt right. I asked her to pick out her favorite dress in my size and budget for me to try on. It was perfect. I bought the dress on the spot. Thank you so much to the wonderful ladies at The Barefoot Bride!

I just bought my dress from Barefoot Bride and could not have asked for a better experience. Joelle and her team provide a wedding dress shopping experience like none other in the Memphis area. I can not express how fun and relaxing it was to be the only bride in the store. It was quiet and exciting and I never felt rushed or pressured! Joelle knows wedding dresses and is really good at letting you pick out dresses to try, but also finding dresses that you might have missed. I really wanted to wear my mom's veil and a pair of shoes I already had picked out. Joelle worked her magic and we found a dress that no only looks like it was made just for me but also intended to go with my items. Even though I had found my dress by the end of my appointment, I was not ready to commit and wanted to look at a few other shops in the area. Joelle understood. The other shops could not even come close the my experience at Barefoot Bride. If you are a Memphis bride or are nervous about dress shopping Barefoot Bride is the place to go to insure your experiences stays fun and exciting!!!

I found my perfect dress at The Barefoot Bride! I also found the perfect veil to go with my dress there too! I am a very laid-back person and enjoyed the laid-back experience and having the store all to myself. I Highly recommend The Barefoot Bride!

I love the Barefoot Bride. The owner is very helpful. Price is outstanding ESP if you are on a strict budget. Selection was great and the quality of the dresses were in excellent condition.

Joelle from The Barefoot Bride was so great to help me find the perfect dress. She was basically a one stop shop from referring me to my seamstress and floral designer. Joelle was referred to me by several people and I will continue to do the same. I also consigned a dress that I had previously bought and did not wear (thank you God!!) and she made it such a painless process. I wish them much success and know they will do well with their eye for style and great customer service. You are so talented and creative and you can't top that!

My experience at the Barefoot Bride was absolutely amazing! This was my first stop to try on wedding dresses. I walked in with NO clue what I wanted, and came out with my dream dress, thanks to Nathalie and all of her advice and assistance! The dress I picked was actually tried on for "fun"- and I fell in love with it. Although I was very unsure at first, Nathalie was super supportive and even helped me see what my dress would look like after a few alterations. She is sooo good at what she does, she was literally on her hands and knees helping me get a visual of what the dress would look like without so much poof! She took multiple pictures at all different angles with multiple iPhones, helped me get ALL of the dresses off and on, and even let me re-try my dress on 4 times! After leaving to check out a few more dresses, I immediately returned to Barefoot Bride (without even trying on another dress), and Nathalie let me try my dress on for a final time in between her other appointments! I never dreamed wedding dress shopping could be so stress free and so much fun! I am forever thankful for Nathalie and the staff at The Barefoot Bride!!!! :)

This place is AMAZING! They have SO many choices for dresses and accessories! The talent of the employees is exceptional! They helped me find a dress that was perfect for me! It was one I had didn't love on the hanger, but that I adored once on! The prices are great and the staff is very friendly! I highly recommend choosing this boutique to meet your bridal attire needs!

Loved the Barefoot Bride! I was super nervous about picking a dress. I wanted simple, beachy, flowing and this was the one place that listened to me, helped me pick what I wanted, and did I mention it was a FUN experience! Love them, highly recommend!

I went to The Barefoot Bride to look for my wedding dress earlier this year and I truly had the best experience possible. I went to two other bridal shops prior to going to Barefoot Bride and this was a completely different experience. The owner is absolutely fabulous. She sat with me and discussed my wedding, my dress ideas, my fiance and a little of our story. She was so wonderful and paid close attention to the details I gave her. We looked at dresses and she made suggestions along the way for dresses that would highlight the right parts of my body and also meet the idea I had in my head. There were so many dresses that were beautiful, in my price range, and had all the elements I was looking for. The value I got for my money was amazing as well. You will not find a better price on quality, unique, and elaborate dresses anywhere else in Memphis. The owner also has a list of great seamstresses if you want to make changes to your gown and make it your very own. All in all, I absolutely recommend this shop to all brides. You will get an experience like none other and find a dress that you just can't find anywhere else.

The Barefoot bride is one of the most professional dress vendors in the Memphis area and the ONLY one I would recommend to any bride. They love what they do and their passion shines through their work. They helped me find my dress, and I got it for an amazing deal. Don't pay retail for your dress! Go to the barefoot bride to find your wedding gown. I guarantee you will love the experience, and there are a large variety of gowns to choose from with new ones arriving all the time!

I had the most wonderful experience at the Barefoot Bride! I had shopped, and shopped....and shopped for a wedding dress and decided that maybe I was never going to find the one. I have watched countless episodes of "Say Yes to the Dress" and saw bride after bride crying in joy as they put on their one dress, and I quested for that. Yet, after hitting every bridal store in Memphis, and feeling as though I was just getting on my consultants nerves more than getting towards my dream dress, I was still left dressless. I was about to make my journey to the mecca of mid-south bridals and drive to Brinkley, but decided to give Barefoot Bride a try just in case. I had reserved them in the back of my mind, as the place that if I couldnt find a dress, that I would still be able to go there to maybe be able to find something that was kinda my style. WHY DID I THINK THAT!? This was the most wonderful experience (and thankfully the culminating one) that led me to the dress of my dreams. They were so very helpful and the appointment was so wonderful. After all of the experiences I have had in the Memphis area this was definitely the most professional and kind place that I visited. They knew all of their inventory and were just a pleasure to work with. I am so happy I finally got to have my moment where I put the dress on and it chose me, for that I am truly grateful.
