We found out about The Baking Institute through our banquet’s partnership with them. We are so happy they are partners as it made everything much more convenient. The tasting was easy to schedule and had very yummy choices. We ultimately chose Dulce de Leche and everyone at our wedding LOVED it!! It was the perfect amount of sweet. The frosting was also delicious and I don’t even like frosting usually. The cake decoration was simple and elegant, which is exactly what we wanted. They did an amazing job!! Thank you all for your help making sure our wedding cake was perfect!

Beautiful Cake
Worked with them for our wedding cake. I am gluten free but not many of my guest were, they suggested doing a GF topper and regular cake for the bottom two layers. They also suggested making the two types of cakes different so that the servers would have a visual distinction between GF and regular. I really appreciated them being able to accommodate my diet and also offer advice for my event. Of course the cake was beautifully decorated and absolutely delicious, our guests raved about it all night.

From the moment I called to get more info on the types of pastries available to the actual wedding day, The Baking Institute provided superior service, huge variety of fabulous pastries and they delivered it all perfectly to our venue. We got a complimentary cake with this vendor through our venue, and boy were we happy with it! We got a lemon Bavarian cream cake for our wedding day and the guests couldn’t stop talking about how good it was, even how beautiful it came out with the fondue red roses and designs.

Our cake was made to the exact instructions and with the utmost detail. They were very attentive in our appointment and tasting to write down all of the specifics we wanted. They had a very large variety of cake, frosting, and fillings to offer and were very accommodating for the tasting to allow us to try any combination we wanted.I was able to get details from my dress incorporated as well as our wedding colors and also give it artistic flair. Amazing cake from the decoration and the tiers. Reasonably priced and no sales pressure. Honest consultation. Would love it if the institute can do a questionnaire to get flavor profile picked. We picked flavors based on what we thought sounded good combo but wasn't. No issues from consultation or having the cake delivered.

Cake looked and tasted great!!
This bakery is the one our venue uses (the cake was included in the cost for our venue), so we went with them because we already paid for it with the venue. While the cake and icing flavors that were included with our venue cost (Aka the cake and icing flavors we didn’t have to pay anything extra for) were somewhat limited, we ended up choosing 2 different cake/icing combos on alternating tiers and both were fantastic. Cake was super moist, and both us and our guests loved it. The only slight downside was that 1 of the cake/icing combos we had (raspberry icing with chocolate cake), and it was impossible for us (and some of the guests we talked to) to taste any raspberry whatsoever, both at our cake tasting and the day-of (including when tasting the icing without any cake). Not a huge deal, just slightly disappointing because I’m a sucker for raspberry. We still chose it because it was one of few icing flavors that worked with chocolate cake, and the chocolate cake was too delicious (and moist) not to pick for our big day. Anyways, only a minor disappointment, as I would still give them 5 stars! Highly recommend the white cake with lemon French custard - it was our favorite as well as many of our guests’!

Great cake!
I had found this bakery through my venue because they work directly with them and I’m so beyond happy with the service. It was such an easy process for us to pick out what flavors we wanted to try and everyone we did was delicious. And the design of the cake was absolutely beautiful! I can’t wait to see pictures of it when our photos come back!

It's exactly what we asked for!
The venue we chose for our wedding had the cake included, through The Baking Institute. We visited their office and went through what exactly we were looking for, which we had seen somewhere else and wanted to try to get the same look and feel. We were absolutely blown away by what they were able to come up with, and we are so happy with the way our wedding cake turned out. We got nothing but compliments on it, and couldn't be happier. Dream Wedding Cake
A wedding cake is a must, even if you aren't cake people. We would classify ourselves as not cake people, but the Baking Institute may have us reconsider! The cake was not only beautiful on the outside, but moist and delicious on the inside. We are really looking forward to our 1 year anniversary to dip into the cake topper! They worked with us during the hectic time of COVID, as we had to reschedule our special day several times.

We were able to work with the Baking Institute through our venue. I was very pleased with the entire process. I was uncertain the about of decorating that we could do for the cake, however I thought we had a lot more options then I was expecting to make a beautiful centerpiece to the venue. Beautiful, tasteful, creative
Scheduling an appointment for tasting was easy! Things came up and we had to reschedule, doing so was smoother than buttercream. We liked the option of choosing our flavors ahead of time, it let us do it together in the comfort of our own home after a long day. The tasting was delicious 🤤 but we were still undecided on flavors so the bakery offered us samples in the other flavors we were considering, to be dropped off at our banquet hall within the coming week, considering the bakery is so far from us in comparison to the venue. Looking forward to tasting the cake in 10 months on our anniversary! This was an incredible, fun, and easy going experience!! I definitely recommend them!!

I went through Baking Institute for my wedding because of the package I was given at my venue. However, Baking Institute was amazing! We had a tasting and everything we had was delicious. We ended up with the Red Velvet cake with cream cheese and it was AMAZINGGGGGG!!!! Our guests loved the flavor AND how it looked!! They did an amazing job on decorating my wedding and delivered it on time! Highly highly recommend them!

I worked with The Baking Institute through the Glendale Lakes Golf Club for my recent wedding. They have so many choices and options that it can seem overwhelming, but they are readily available to answer any questions you may have. I chose to do a standard cake without anything extra (included in my wedding package), and the cake was absolutely beautiful. It definitely exceeded my expectations, and it tasted AMAZING. Usually people don't remember the cake at weddings, but I've definitely have had people continue to compliment it afterward.
The in person meeting was amazingly quick, and I felt confident in their abilities from the very beginning. Fantastic, amazing work. I can't wait to eat our anniversary cake in a year!

Came with photos of all the different layers I wanted. They cut them out and stacked them as I asked and taped it together. On the day of our wedding, I was stunned when I saw our cake. It was everything i have imagined and more. I haven’t seen another cake I love as much as I loved ours. The details were perfect.

Shout out to The Baking Institute for making our amazing wedding cake! It was beautifully done with gorgeous piping and decorating! To our designer Elizabeth who did an fantastic job! Took the time, went over options, suggested alternatives and help us pick the cake of our dreams. The flavor, holy hell, was it delicious. Ever since we had the tasting I literally dreamt and could not wait to eat that praline Bavarian cream again. I’m not a sweets person and literally craved this cake. My husband and I did a kind of multi-theme wedding and we were very specific and particular about exactly what we wanted on our cake. The Baking Institute did awesome! They gave us exactly what we wanted without any additional questions or problems. The day of the tasting when we explained everything they immediately started drawing out a sketch and we knew we would not be disappointed with the outcome. We were still very surprised and happy at how perfectly our cake turned out. Highly HIGHLY recommend.

The Baking Institute is the vendor that works with our venue. Although we did not hand select them as our vendor, we could not be more happy with the service and product we received. The cake was exactly how I envisioned it would be. It was beautiful and very elegant looking. We selected two different flavors for our 4 tiered cake and both flavors were absolutely delicious! We received many compliments on the cake for the appearance and the taste.

The best wedding cake bakery. Replicated the photo of a wedding cake I liked perfectly. It was identical and the taste was heavenly! I would recommend anyone to use them for their cake!

Best cake ever! Both gluten free and regular. They made cupcakes in the shape of cats for us for our wedding and were the hit of dessert table! They were not only delicious but adorable.....Thank you so much!

Our wedding cake was so delicious and beautiful! We showed them a picture that we were interested in and they were able to make the perfect cake for us. The cake tasted amazing! We took two slices home! We cannot wait to eat the cake again on our 1 year anniversary!

Our venue used The Baking Institute as one of their vendors. The wedding cake was included in the price of the venue, so we used them for my daughter's unusual wedding cake. We weren't sure if they would be the right bakery to use, but the assured us they could execute our request, and that they did. They did a beautiful job creating our "naked cake", aesthetically and and very tasty too.

We loved our cake! We were a bit worried at first since our venue told us this was the bakery that came with the package but it ended up being perfect! When we went to the tasting, it was so easy to schedule and they were so helpful in making the design we wanted. We decided on a mixed cake with 2 tiers a marble (which was delicious btw) and the top tier lemon. Well, they gave us 2 lemon and 1 marble which at first I was worried about but ended up being a blessing. So many guests loved the lemon with the white chocolate mousse! It was moist and just delicious. Such great flavor.

We planned our wedding within a month of our date (yikes), and among the vendors we contacted, some took a week to respond (just to let us know they were unavailable), while others never responded at all. Heather responded almost immediately and worked with us right from the start. When we met with her for our tasting (gooooood luck trying to narrow down your choices), you could tell right away that this was someone who took great pride in her work; she was passionate, knowledgeable, and never pushed a design or size on us. In fact, she found ways to help us logistically, and found ways to keep costs down.

Our cake at our wedding was absolutely DELICIOUS!!!! At our tasting we were given several cakes to taste with several options of filling. We were initially stuck of what fillings to mix with what cake and the baker helped ups with our choice and it turned out great! Everyone loved the cake. My venue provided the cake but thankfully I was able to choose from a few different vendors. I'm glad I got a chance to taste it and everybody agreed I made the right choice. Me and my parents are picky about cake so I'm incredibly thankful and everything was designed it just how we wanted it.

The package at our venue (Esplanade Lakes) included the wedding cake, which was from The Baking Institute. My (now) husband and I love sweets, and cake is my personal favorite, so I was most excited for the cake tasting. I loved everything I tried. All the flavors we chose were moist and yummy. We ended up choosing 3 different flavors, and asked our venue coordinator to please make sure we received 1 of each the night of the wedding! :) Again, come wedding day, all 3 flavors were delicious. The cake was beautiful and looked exactly as we imagined. We couldn't have been happier!

Our venue included wedding cake. We were able to choose from 5 different bakeries and even though our venue was not able to lean towards a certain bakery, many of the people at my venue recommended Baking Institute. I'm so glad I did! My mom and I have a sweet tooth so tasty cake was important to me. We were able to do a tasting months in advance, changed how it looked a few times, and everyone was very responsive and kind in the process. During the tasting we ordered a few samples and chose the marble cake with banana French custard and it was absolutely delicious! The cake itself looked absolutely beautiful also, better than the pictures. I highly recommend Baking Institute for best tasting cake and beautifully decorated cake. Thank you Baking Institute!

We opted to have 4 individual cakes on cake plates instead of having it traditionally tiered. People were asking where our cake was from before it was cut because they were so beautiful. We had even more people asking once they had eaten it because it was SO good - definitely the best cake I have ever had. The Baking Institute was super accommodating and very responsive to my questions and requests. I would highly recommend!

When I walked into our venue and saw our cake set up, my heart stopped, my breathing stopped, I was completely in awe! They did such an amazing job on our wedding cake that I was, and still am, completely stunned by it. I'm so glad that our venue partners with them and sent us there for our cake! I couldn't have asked for a more perfect representation of exactly what I had pictured in my head! They made all of the details on the cake perfectly match the damascus print from our invitations. It was so nice to meet with them once, MONTHS before the wedding, and taste test, and order that day, and simply have to email once a week before the wedding, just to confirm the delivery time and address. It was one of the easiest parts of the whole process, yet one of the parts with the most amazing result! Thanks to everyone there for making our dream wedding cake a reality!

We had a very easy and efficient time deciding on our wedding cake from the Baking Institute. We decided on a few samples to try and chose a simple white cake with butter-cream frosting and as simple as it sounds, it was fantastic and all of our guests loved it! The Baking Institute produce a very beautiful and high-quality cake, you will be more than satisfied. You will also be at ease as they are reliable and professional. Great to work with. We had picked our 3 flavors for tasting but the chef changed out one of the butter cream frostings to bavarian creme so we could try it out..guess which frosting for the cake we went with?
We went with the marble/bavarian cream frosting and a design out of the vendor's books. The cake was simple, elegant and beautiful. When we did our cake cutting, we were ready to cut a 2nd slice, it was soo good.
We also served the cake for dessert with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce. We received a lot of compliments about how moist the cake was. We were thrilled.

We gave Igor at the baking institute a recipe for a special, chocolate vegan cake that we wanted for our wedding. It was absolutely perfect. Not only was it spot in for the taste, it was also the most beautiful that cake has ever looked! We enjoyed working with the Baking Institute. All appointments were conveniently scheduled and the wedding cake was made to perfection and delivered to the wedding venue on time and in an excellent condition. The staff at the Baking Institute was always available for help, and what we especially liked were the flexibility of selecting and designing the wedding cake. Unlike many other bakeries, the Baking Institute had no difficulties in customizing the cake and letting us taste a sample of our selections.

My wedding cake was one of the most beautiful and unusal cakes that all of my guests have ever seen. The Baking Institute did an excellent job. Not only was the cake an exact replica of the picture that I showed them, it was delicious. We opted for the red velvet cake with cream cheese and it was wonderful. They did a great job and I would recommend them to anyone who wants a special cake for their special day.

I don't think that my wedding cake could have looked or tasted better! The whole process with the Baking institute was amazing!! We had a couple of delicious options to pick from at our tasting and ended up going with an almond cake with fresh strawberries and french custard inside. It is the best cake I have ever had!! The wedding cake was absolutely beautiful, I almost didn't want to eat it (but I knew how amazing it would taste). They were so great to work with and did an amazing job for an incredibly reasonable price!!

The people at The Baking Institute were absolutely wonderful to work with! We had several guests with a gluten intolerance, and they accommodated them by making a gluten free cake for them. All who were served this cake said it was absolutely the best gluten free cake they had ever tasted! The Baking Institute was easy to work with and provided us with a beautifully, delicious cake. Actually we heard from people that it was the best cake they had ever tasted! That is quite the compliment. Unfortunately, I got too wrapped up in the night to have a piece myself so I can't validate that personally (and during the cake-cutting with my husband was too focused on him and that moment that I didn't savor it), however, it was made exactly as I had pictured it and I trust others opinions that it was yummy. The creative designer drew us up a cake in moments during the cake-cutting since I didn't want a pre-designed cake which was also very impressive.

Not only was the cake exactly what we wanted, it was DELICIOUS! The team here really listens to what you want and creates the perfect dessert. We used them for our wedding cake and I am so happy we did! The professionalism along with the expertise of baking made for a great experience!

My wedding cake was absolutely beautiful! The Baking Institute did such a wonderful job. I showed them a picture of what I wanted and they were able to create it. Couldn't have asked for a better tasting and looking cake.

They were so easy to work with, and incredibly helpful. I told them what I wanted and they matched it perfectly. I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone. Weddings our very stressful so it was to know that my wedding cake was one less thing to worry about.

After looking at all of The Baking Institute's sample wedding cakes, they helped us create our own vision of what we wanted our cake to look like. On top of that, the cake tasted fantastic. We couldn't have asked for anything more! We definitely recommend The Baking Institute.

Loved my wedding cake. The showroom was brand new with many designs! I loved how it looked, and how it tasted. It was really moist! My mother even ate the fondant! I would definitely recommend Baking Institute!

The Baking Institute did an amazing job on our wedding cake. When I walked into the room and saw the cake, I fell in love-it was absoultely GORGEOUS! When I went to pick out the cake, the staff was extremely professional and helped me make decisions based on number of guests and my own personal style. Not to mention, my guests are still talking about how AMAZING the cake tasted. I would reccommend the Baking Institute to all of my friends!

Working with The Baking Institute was so easy. When we went in for our tasting, they had the flavors that we wanted already prepared for us to taste. They were also very open to ideas about the cake design and even incorporated the lace on my dress into the wedding cake. On our wedding day I was so pleased to see how the cake turned out. It truly was beautiful and tasted amazing!

AMAZING!!! The wedding cake was absolutely delicious! We did our cake tasting 7 month prior and the service was wonderful. Margo was a delight! We had a Disney themed wedding and she helped make sure we had the perfect touch! The sweet table was a big hit too and fresh. I highly recommend The Baking Insitute you won't be disappointed!!!

Everything went super smooth and the cake was exactly what we wanted. The cake tasting was done very professionally and we got a number of different combinations to try...they even let us take home the leftovers from the tasting. They were able to create the cake of our dreams with no issue. It looked amazing and also was delicious!! We cannot wait for our 1 year anniversary to indulge in the top tier.

We were recommended to The Baking Institute by Astoria Banquet Hall. We had never heard of the company so when it came time to choose a cake for our wedding we decided to go to their website to try various cake and frosting flavors. Their cake designs were beautiful and diverse and I knew as soon as I looked through their sample pictures which design was right for our wedding. My husband and I went to the bakery location in Wheeling and we fell in love with the almond cake and chocolate mousse frosting. The cake was delivered on time for our wedding is was absolutely delicious. For anniversaries and birthdays we still go back to The Baking Institute! It was a hidden gem.

Our banquet venue used The Baking Institute for its wedding cakes. While the cake testing was not nearly as fun as I had envisioned (only 3 small samples to share and try) Our cake turned out beautiful, just like we had discussed during our consultation. My only complaint was we never got a chance to taste it at the reception, too busy having fun. Luckily we had some leftovers. Definitely a good value and delivered what they promised.
