Perfect fit for our wedding

My daughter was going to get married at another venue that we booked last year but all of a sudden the venue shut their doors on us 3 months before our wedding without any notice. my daughter and her fiancé were overly stressed. As a mother I felt like i had to help them start all over again. I started calling venues , out of all that i called , one was the Magnolia mansion , they scheduled a tour right away. Coming to this place made us realize that we still have a chance to enjoy and celebrate our wedding day as we have imagined within 3 months period. The staff has been helpful, caring and concerned when we told them about our situation. They have been helping us get everything together. Moreover , It is a gorgeous venue! Yes - we don’t have a waterview as our other venue but we love the options they have available. We have gone through so much stress in the passed few days but we are so happy to have found this venue and feel comfortable going with them allowing all of our booked vendors to be apart of our day. Thank you Magnolia! Looking forward to our big day celebration. The reason I’m posting this is to help the other brides who have been effected by the shut down of the other venue - call magnolia and if they have availability they will start the process right away .

All the beauty of an upscale, classic wedding venue, with the feel of a family-owned business

My husband and I had our wedding at Magnolia Mansion this November (2023) and I still have not stopped receiving comments from our friends and family about what a perfect venue it was!

The owners of this venue have put so much intentionality and thoughtfulness into renovating the space and it clearly shows. Our wedding flowed seamlessly from one space to the next (because they currently have and will soon have even more options for spaces for ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception).

The other thing that I loved about this space was the flexibility of it! Because it is an inn and wedding venue, there were so many unique spaces for us to use for pictures, and even for the wedding party to spend time together after guests began to leave. Our photographer even commented on how many different options there were for pictures!

But truly the thing that made this venue extra special were the owners. From start to finish, I could tell that they were so invested in making this day special for not only my husband and I, but our families as well! They were so communicative with us throughout the process, and especially as last minute details came together. We ended up visiting the venue multiple times throughout the wedding planning process, and the owners were so accommodating with setting up times during the week that worked around our work schedules so that we could finalize details on site.

Even after the wedding, when I realized I had left a few items at the venue, the owners set my things aside and followed up with me directly about them so that I could come pick them up! This venue has all of the beauty of an upscale, classic wedding venue, with the feel of a family-owned business that really cares about making your event the experience of a lifetime!

Most Accommodating Venue

If you want the perfect wedding, look no further than the Magnolia Mansion. One of my favorite parts about the venue is the long driveway leading up to the mansion lined with light posts and dense tree line that evokes so much emotion for your guests as they are arriving, anticipating the event. We held our rehearsal dinner at the venue and stayed with our wedding party on site Friday and Saturday night. The new owners have just completely renovated the entire venue. I’m especially impressed by the reception area in the back beneath the tent, because it held 15 tables, a dance floor, dj table, sweetheart table, and gift table for 138 guests beautifully. It’s got the carefully manicured courtyard we used for cocktail hour, we jumped in the pool, and went in the hot tub! There’s a movable bar we had our signature cocktails beneath the lights and then another gorgeous wooden bar in the sunroom that we used as our wine bar. There was ample parking. Had many seating areas beneath twinkling outdoors light that really softened the whole back yard and made it so romantic. The owner, Ash not only allowed us to have everything we wanted on our day - her and her brother helped us set everything up !! The whole family was all hands on deck when it came to helping us to pull together every detail of our ceremony and reception.

Weekend venue

This venue is absolutely amazing. It's beautiful, intimate, homey, and the owner is amazing. She is always doing a million things at once but I think that's part of the charm. She does what she says she'll do and gets things done! I am so excited to get my wedding pictures back

Niece wedding

Most Accommodating Venue

From the moment we got in touch with Peggy, she has been such a bright light during a difficult time. We had our big dream wedding planned for December, however we received news that my fiancé is on orders to deploy to Iraq for over a year beforehand and had to cancel/postpone the big day. Regardless, we wanted to quickly plan an intimate beautiful elopement and Peggy was up for the task. She was very accommodating, helped with suggestions, contacted her vendors and secured an officiant, not to mention she customized our package to fit our needs. She’s continuously made efforts to ensure my fiancé and I are stress free and focus solely on each other before he leaves. Honestly, it’s hard to put into words how much that means to us but thank you so much!

The Apple Blossom is a home away from home!

As the bride and groom, we were throughly impressed with the venue and Peggy Snead. I knew this was the right venue when I met Peggy. Her personality, energy, and compassion make it an experience of a lifetime. Peggy became part of the family and we became a part of hers. She NEVER stopped working. I found myself constantly asking, “is there anything she can’t do?” Peggy helped with everything, every step of the way. We had no idea what to do and she was able to point us in the right direction because she has years of experience. She answered every stupid question we asked and made specific accommodations to meet our particular needs. If something needed to be addressed, Peggy or her staff would fix it right away. I knew I was in good hands and didn’t have a single worry with Peggy in charge. There may have been some hiccups in general but Peggy made everything better and kept us calm. I highly recommend this venue. You will be hard pressed to find a better venue at a better value. My wedding party and guests went out of their way to tell us that the venue and Peggy were amazing. Could not have been easier

As a groom with a very particular bride i was nervous about the small details of the wedding being handled correctly. The vendors recommended knew the location and were able to set up and perform without instruction. Peggy went above and beyond the call of duty and knew what we wanted even when we didn't. You recieve the full start to finish luxuries any wedding should have even with covid. I will never not recommend this place of her attention to detail alone. Thank you for an amazing weekend.

Fantastic venue!

wasn't the bride but part of the bridal party. Peggy is so sweet and caring not just for the bride and groom but everyone involved. Got everything done in a timely manner and was very helpful in case if there was confusion on how the ceremony was supposed to go.

The whole weekend went perfect

Having my son's wedding was the best experience ever. Our family responsibility was rehearsal dinner and I was so pleased with Peggy. I dropped off my Oriental trading box of decorations and she set it up for me. I couldn't be more pleased with her staff we hired to work the event made it a breeze. I wouldn't have changed a thing. We even had someone picked up from the airport and delivered to the dinner.
The whole weekend went perfectly from Thursday to Sunday

Having my son's wedding was the best experience ever. Our family responsibility was rehearsal dinner and I was so pleased with Peggy. I could have never chosen a better venue. Peggy is one of the most amazing people on the planet. She truly sold my now Husband on making our dream wedding come true. I can honestly say there is not a single thing I would change about our wedding!

Literally Best Wedding Ever

My buddy from VTech was married here last fall. It was literally the best wedding I have ever been too. The reception was fun, but afterwards a bunch of us were allowed to sit by the firepit and relax. The staff was great and the Inn was comfortable and charming.

Peggy thank you for your communication, people management, ideas, problem solving, positive attitude and logistics management…..I just can’t cover it all! You took the time to understand what was important to my daughter and helped us create a day that was so incredibly special. You are so down to earth and so great to deal with.
Thank you for the wonderful job you did helping Amanda and Timmy organize their Wedding Day. A great time was had by all. I don’t think we could have asked for anything more. Awesome Experience

Peggy was awesome! Seriously. We did not have to worry about much at all. The only thing we had to worry about is what we wanted to worry about, but Peggy will take care of everything if you let her. She is truly one of a kind. She will do any idea you come up with, and she will work hard to make it happen. We're so happy with choosing the Apple Blossom Inn.

Amazing Wedding

My son got married here and I don't know what we enjoyed more, the venue or the owner/wedding planer Peggy. She made making this special alot easier a dream come true. You ask and she makes it happen! Can not say enough about this magical place. Well worth a visit. Was sad to see the weekend end. Please make sure you put them on your list as a must see!

My daughter and her husband were married at Apple Blossom on March 2, 2019. Apple Plantation was AWESOME. I do not have a bad word to say about them. This wedding was "prior" to the start of Apple Blossoms wedding season and you would have never known it. Peggy, the owner, was AWESOME. People still do this day speak about how lovely the wedding venue was. She even started a bonfire for us after the wedding. Any one that states this place was not up to par apparently was looking for something to complain about. My husband and I have nothing but good words to say about Apple Blossom. I recommend it to everyone.

The Best Venue in Virginia!

My wife and I got married at Apple Blossom 6 days ago. There are not enough good things I can say about this venue and it's owner, Peggy Snead.

Peggy Snead, is quite literally, Superwoman.

There were so many small details about our wedding weekend there, from Friday to Sunday, and not one went unnoticed. We saw several venues before choosing Apple Blossom, and we absolutely made the right decision. Within about 30 seconds of meeting Peggy, it's abundantly clear how much she loves weddings and cares about her brides and grooms. THIS is the type of person you want in charge of your wedding. Not one who is ONLY about the bottom line, but one who is in love with her craft. Peggy ran our rehearsal, ran our wedding ceremony, ran the reception, all flawlessly. She even cooked us breakfast every day we were there, and just generally made it so that my wife and I had very little to worry about, other than enjoying the happiest time of our lives. On top of that, she has followed up with us in the last few days just to make sure we were okay and happy with our wedding.

I have a hard time believing anyone could ever find a better venue than Apple Blossom, or a better person than Peggy. We are beyond appreciative of what she has done for us.

The owner, a gal named Peggy, helped the entire evening - from cutting the cake to lighting sparklers for the grand exit. It was absolutely the best wedding I have ever been to. It seems as if Peggy can anticipate every need - she runs around like the Energizer Bunny - making sure that the celebration is perfect!
