Ambrosia tastes delicious and was beautifully presented!

We got our wedding cake and grooms cake from Ambrosia. Both looked perfect!! My husband had a tennis themed cupcake cake and I had a traditional wedding cake. Everyone loved both!! Thank you Ambrosia for being a part of our special day :)

Delicious + gorgeous cakes!

Beautiful Work

I am pleased with our three tier cake and the groom’s football jersey cake. They met my expectations and it was absolutely delicious, fresh, and moist. The filling which was strawberry cheesecake was amazing.

The staff was very nice and very professional. I was totally clueless as far as what I wanted. The owner drew a cake for me. I was not only shocked but very pleased. My cake was simple and I absolutely loved it. The cake looked exactly like the drawing. It taste great and my guest absolutely loved it. I used the turtle filing for the whole cake.

Ambrosia Bakery were amazing to work with. Yvette was very responsive and quick to get back to you if you had any questions. They were also so accommodating in terms of moving around delivery times. Even having already scheduled delivery times of our cake and other cakes the same day, they were still able to move times around when I wasn't sure which would be best due to having an outdoor wedding. Both the wedding cake and grooms cake looked phenomenal and tasted amazing!! You didn't have to worry about people not eating the cake. The grooms cake came out just like the picture I sent them! Everyone loved it and the groom was surprised as well! Ambrosia was great to work with and I would highly recommend them! Especially the chocolate cake with turtle filling.. sooo delicious! :)

My new husband and I are very happy with choosing The Ambrosia Bakery. The cakes were beautiful. They did a really good job on my husbands Chicago theme cake. All of our guest raved about the how good the cakes tasted. They were asking for more. Some guest asked if they ship cake to IL. We found them well priced and very professional as they worked with me via email because I live in IL. We had a three-tier cake and each tier was a different type of cake. I would definitely recommend them for all cakes, wedding, birthday, a random day. Their cakes are amazing!!!

I was planning my wedding in Louisiana from Los Angeles and working with Yvette was a dream! Most of our communication was via email (which I prefer) but she was available to chat over the phone as needed. I was late in ordering my cake (a few weeks before my wedding) and this wasn't a problem at all! Most wedding cakes aren't that great, but this one was delicious! People were raving over it!

Their wedding cake department is dedicated to providing professional quality service to any potential clients. I loved choosing my wedding cake flavors and design with Ambrosia. The staff and owner was very helpful and knowledgeable. I would recommend them for their professionalism.

Ambrosia Bakery did a phenomenal job with our wedding cake! They were very courteous and our order was exactly what we expected! I am very glad that we went with Ambrosia for our cake, and I understand why my wife was so adamant about ordering from them. I would highly, highly, highly recommend their services.

The ladies that handle weddings at Ambrosia were a pleasure to work with. Very knowledgeable and professional. They gave us a box of different flavor cake squares to taste at home, which is a great way to get others involved in helping with the decision. The ladies were very accommodating, when I attended the main consultation and brought my iPad so that I could FaceTime my daughter since she lives several states away while we went over photos with ideas as they sketched out the perfect cake that she had in mind. The cake was beautiful and everyone commented on how delicious it was, was confirmed by only two pieces left over.

The wedding specialist spent a lot of time with us to design our dream wedding. We were given several samples and the cake was beautiful and delicious.

Ambrosia Bakery has definitely outdone themselves! My cake and the Groom's Cake was absolutely gorgeous and perfect! There was so much detail and not only looked beautiful but also tasted great!

The Ambrosia Bakery was very easy to work with and understood what type of cake we were looking for. On the day of our event, we could not have been more pleased with the outcome of the cake. It was absolutely beautiful and what we wanted. The cake was fabulous and we had several guests comment on how great the cake tasted.

Absolutely fantastic! We got our bride's cake and our groom's cake from Ambrosia. They were both very fresh and tasted amazing! The customer service is great and they really work to make the cake everything that you want it to be!

I had Ambrosia's fresh strawberry cake for my wedding and it was FABULOUS! If you have ever had this cake from there then you know what I'm talking about. Not only did it taste great but i really liked the way the look of it turned out. They gave me what I wanted even though I may not have been the best at describing what that was. I lucked out in booking them because they weren't supposed to do my cake. The lady who was had to have surgery on her hand and couldn't bake. So Ambrosia booked me on very short notice. Everything worked out like it was supposed to and they cake turned out beautifully. They also did a very elegant grooms cake in chocolate with chocolate covered strawberries. Also VERY GOOD.

My wedding cake was absolutely beautiful AND delicious!!!! I got so many compliments on my cake! The cake was four tiers and had handmade gum paste flowers that were also hand painted. They turned out the perfect color and were absolutely gorgeous!!! The service was excellent and the cake was delivered ahead of schedule.

Amazing cakes!! Used Ambrosia for my dec 2013 wedding and was more then happy with my cake. They took their time and helped me design the cake and they were very helpful with choosing the right size for my number of guests. They made choosing their cakes very easy! They were so helpful and professional and all my guests loved the taste of the cake! Would recommend using them for your wedding cake needs!

My wedding cake was perfect!!! Just what I wanted!!! And the taste was fantastic!!! The grooms cake was grade A!!! You cannot go wrong with Ambrosia!! They did a superb job in my book .. And I'm a very hard critic!!!

Our cakes came out beautiful! I picked the magnolia design with fleur de lis and my husband made a design of what he wanted for his cake and they matched it perfectly! I would definitely recommend them because they do what you ask for and do a great job!

Holy cow, the cake was unbelievable! In addition to it being the best wedding cake we've ever had, they did an amazing job with the decoration! When faced with some changes, they even made some great last minute adjustments to the design for us!

They made the grooms cake. We wanted a snickers cake made out of the mini candies. We searched 5 bakers to find someone to make it. And ambrosia was the first to take on the challenge! It was really good and pretty. Downside was that the design we wanted was done on a larger scale than what we wanted.

I always knew I wanted my wedding cake to come from Ambrosia, and was not disappointed with my choice. Our wedding cake was absolutely amazing, and the grooms cake turned out exactly like we pictured it. I can't wait to eat the top for our one year anniversary!

Cakes can be tough...you never really know what you get until you get to your reception. I could not be happier with the cakes at our reception!! They were beautiful and tasted DELICIOUS!!!

Ambrosia Bakery made our day a huge success!! Not only there was line for the food..... There was a line for our cake!!! My coordinator could not cut it fast enough!! The cake was beautiful and delicious!!! What made me decide to have them do our cakes was when I had a meeting with her she drew my cake design right in front of me!! I was simply speechless!!! I am so addicted to her cakes and pastries. I have to go to Ambrosia Bakery once a week!! Mmmmm delicious!!

Ambrosia designed the cake I wanted. I provided pictures of my wedding dress and our invitation. My cake was beautiful!!!

They are pricey, but delicious and went the extra mile for my cake.

AMBROSIA BAKERY IS THE BEST BAKERY AROUND I WENT TO LOOK AT THAT THEIR CAKES AND THEY GAVE A SAMPLE BOX OF PROBABLY 8 LITTLE MINICAKES FOR FREE FOR ME AND MY FIANCE TO TRY WHILE OTHER BAKERIES WANTED TO CHARGE FOR A SAMPLE CAKE. THE CAKES WHERE SO MOIST AND SO GOOD THAT WE DID DIFFERENT FILLINGS IN DIFFERENT LAYERS OF OUR WEDDING CAKE. I BROUGHT IN A PICTURE OF CAKE THAT I LIKED AND THEY MADE MY CAKE LOOK JUST LIKE THE PICTURE. I HAD SO MANY COMPLEMENTS ON HOW GOOD THE CAKE WAS AND HOW BEAUTIFUL IT LOOKED. I KNOW USE THEM FOR FOR EVERY OCCASION. GREAT SERVICE AND EXCEPTIONAL QUALITY.

My DJ said he has never had such a good wedding cake before. Cheryll was so helpful and made exactly what I had asked for. She was excited about the whole process too... you can tell she really loves what she does.

The cake I wanted was from a magazine picture but I wanted some very specific changes made. On the wedding day it came out PERFECT! A little pricey but worth every penny! An absolute pleasure to do business with and it was truely the BEST tasting cake I've EVER had! My mouth waters everytime I look at the pictures of it! A+++!

Ambrosia was VERY professional, paid very close attention to detail, were extremely well organized, and of course have DELICIOUS CAKES. Of course, they know their cakes are delicious, so they have prices that are a bit expensive, but I think it was worth it. I had no doubt in my mind that the cakes would arrive on time, in perfect condition, with my exact specifications. And they did. They were beautifully decorated, and they can do *anything* you want them to as far as grooms cakes, etc. Highly recommend!

Ambrosia Bakery is by far the best bakery in the Baton Rouge area. They are significantly more expensive, but honestly, it's well worth the added cost. The work that Ambrosia does in terms of wedding cakes is simply amazing. The flavor and taste of this cake is not something that can be beat. My fiance and I are on a budget for our wedding and though we tried to go with a cheaper option, Ambrosia just takes that much better that it was worth paying the extra cost to us. The customer service is amazing. When you go in for a consultation they provide you with a slice of their usual wedding cake but you can request 6 slices of any cake combination. This was enough to feed us for days and it was just samples! I highly recommend Ambrosia Bakery!

We wanted cheesecake at our wedding and so we ordered 3 different sized cheesecakes online from Ambrosia Bakery. We picked them up and were able to store them in a freezer for a few hours before the wedding. It was absolutely perfect. People still mention the cheesecake and how amazing it was.

Ambrosia is the best bakery! Our wedding cakes were delicious! My husband & I just celebrated our 1 yr anniversary & our wedding cake was STILL delicious!! It tasted as if it was just made. We truly enjoyed it!!

Our wedding cake was gorgeous and tasted amazing. It was exactly what I wanted and more! The staff at ambrosia is so helpful too. They helped me decide what design and style I really wanted, and the artwork was gorgeous.
Although they did forget to make my cake tasting (which is complimentary with a deposit) on the scheduled date, they more than made up for it a few days later. They even offered to deliver it to me at home or work!

OMG, best cake I've ever had!!! YUM YUM YUMMY!!! The only negative is that the coloring of our blue was too dark. That being said, I'd use them again. I can't say it enough, they have the BEST cake and BEST icing I've ever had!! Our wedding cake rocked! Everyone had some!

Our cake was both beautiful and delicious which was very important to us. I would definitely recommend the bettercream icing...it is lighter and not as sweet as traditional buttercream. They are a little pricey, but they make great cakes!

My wedding cake and groom's cake were delicious. The cake was beautiful, and the groom's cake was specially made just to fit my husband's likes. They also delivered the cake and put the flowers on it. It was definitely nice not to have to worry about the cakes on my wedding day.

Great choice for wedding cakes!

I am very happy with the cake we chose from Ambrosia Bakery! It was perfectly decorated, tasted amazing, and fit in our budget. the only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is becuase of Covid 19, they do not offer in person consultations and it was difficult to reach them at times

Ambrosia did an amazing job for our wedding cake. We were planning the wedding from out of town but the staff took care of many of our concerns and worked well with the coordinator.

Ambrosia usually has great service although both my bride and groom cake taste great they did not arrive on time. Also the bride cake had been shifted or drop the back of the cake was warp.

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS VENDOR. I called and made an appointment a few weeks ago. I have a very hectic schedule and the woman was more than accommodating initially. I called today to confirm what I thought was my 4:30 appointment. Well I guess something went wrong with the communication and they marked me down for tomorrow. It really would not have been a big deal but the woman I spoke to so extremely rude. I was very excited about this appointment as I am with all things wedding planning but I literally hung up the phone and cried. Even if the mix up was on my end she handled it extremely unprofessional, especially considering I am a bride and was going to be spending hundreds of dollars at this establishment. I can only imagine if this is how she behaves when there is a mix up with the initial appointment how she would be if there was some kind of problem on the day of the wedding. I would not recommend this place for brides!

While picking up a prepaid special order, we noticed a small black insect crawling on the wall adjacent to the special order window (the species is unmistakable). The employee mumbled that she was not going to deal with that and walked away. Later a call to the manager got us the following response "there is a contract with (a major extermination service mentioned by name) for once a month and we have another call to them now." No apology, no reassurance = no understanding of the customer's perspective, value of customer loyalty, or what one expects when paying a premium for baked goods. If they want to act like a budget grocery store sell they should sell their business to one.

This incident has left us with the impression that Ambrosia bakery has substandard service and issues of cleanliness around food storage and preparation areas. The manager is aware of the issue and apparently feels it is for a third-party to handle at intervals of once a month or when a customer notices.
