We had an incredible experience with A Day Made events! We expected someone to help us on the day of and direct the wedding, and we got that...plus so much more.
From my first phone call with Felita, she made me feel at ease. She is a calming presence, and incredibly organized, two things I desperately needed when planning my wedding in Edisto. She stayed in contact consistently after our first phone call, and once we got closer to the wedding day, she scheduled a 2 hour phone call for us to go over the timeline and finalize details I never would have even thought about without her. She contacted all of our vendors and made sure everyone was on the same page, and helped us practice at the rehearsal the night before, which ended up being much needed. The day of the wedding, she was there before some of my wedding party (haha) to begin setting up, and just jumped right in. They even spent hours folding the napkins just right, and made it so we had to do 0 setup on the day of. This made it so we were able to enjoy the day with our loved ones with as little stress as you can imagine on your wedding day. When unforeseen and unpredictable circumstances arose, she quickly and seamlessly made them right again without the bride or groom even knowing there was anything going on! The two team members who were there for the ceremony and reception were wonderful, they were so upbeat and helpful. It felt like they were enjoying our day as much as we were- they even got in on the Photobooth. I am almost positive that there are more things that the team at A Day Made Events handled behind the scenes that I may never even know about. On top of everything else, the price was very reasonable when comparing with similar services in the area. All that to say, I am so thankful we found A Day Made Events. They truly made our day into the most special celebration I could have dreamed of. 100000 stars. -

I can’t say enough positive things about Felita and her team at That Spark Events. We had the pleasure of having Felita as our day-of coordinator and honestly she went above and beyond for us. It was a windy day on our wedding day and our centerpieces were top heavy, Felita and her team were solution-focused and figured out a way to weigh them down. This solutioning required Felita to run to the craft store which she did without hesitation. I’m truly so appreciative of their fast thinking and it worked! The centerpieces stayed up the entire night with the wind still going! That’s just one example of how much value Felita brings to the table (no pun intended). She ensured every event on our timeline went on without a hitch and coordinated with all of our vendors which allowed my husband and I to enjoy our day with no stress! It truly was a magical day and Felita was a big reason for that. -

I'll start my review by saying I wish I could give 10 stars instead of 5 for Felita, Angie and the team at That Spark Events. I hired Felita as my month-of coordinator and also for some design guidance for my wedding. She went above and beyond and took on more work than asked when we had changes with our venue requirements and issues with our rental company. She always asked the right questions and guided me through all the details I would have never thought of. Her professionalism and experience was evident from the get-go and her vendor recommendations were frankly invaluable as they saved us a ton of time, money, and stress. The week of our wedding, our event company canceled a huge part of our order due to damage from a previous wedding and without blinking an eye, Felita found replacement items 7 days before the wedding and even went and picked the items up for us to save us delivery fees. Then the day of the wedding there was a huge mess with the tent delivery showing up late and then also forgetting missing pieces. She never once let me know something was wrong and her team basically hustled and setup my wedding in a quarter of the time it should have taken. I can confidently say that my wedding would not have gotten pulled off the way I envisioned it if it wasn't for the hard work of Felita and Angie. We owe our perfect day in large part to That Spark Events! -

Money Well Spent!!!!
When I panicked a week before our wedding because the weather forecast predicted it was going to rain, Felita (our wedding planner), was the one who calmly assured me not to worry and that it probably wouldn’t (it actually didn’t rain that day). When the lady baking our wedding cake abruptly left us hanging 3 days before our wedding, Felita found us a new baker in less than an hour. And I must say—our guests ranted and raved about how delicious and beautiful our cake was for weeks. When our wedding venue staff told us minutes before the wedding started that we couldn’t use our horse and carriage on their main lawn for the father and bride walk down the aisle, it was Felita who negotiated a deal with them to allow us to use the carriage for the bride and groom grand entrance during the reception instead. That way, the horse and carriage wouldn’t be a waste for us. And dare I say—we actually liked the change better.
Needless to say, Felita had our backs from beginning to end. She was extremely patient and calm even when I called and texted her frantically. She was always professional and kind. Her list of recommended vendors was incredibly useful in helping us to choose our DJ, bartender, etc. She never came across as overbearing or a know-it-all even though she has YEARS worth of experience in the field (and it shows). She allowed us to make our wedding our own and offered valuable input when necessary.
Felita and That Spark Events is the only wedding planner/company I’d recommend in the Charleston area. Thank you, Felita! -

Sana took all stress away from my wedding weekend. After having a small COVID wedding that was extremely stressful for me, I wanted to enjoy myself at my big wedding celebration. She was very organized, communicated with my vendors, and had great suggestions for my event. During my wedding, she was everywhere it seemed- either getting me a drink, whipping out the sewing kit to fix my bustle, or communicating with me changes to the timeline and asking my opinion. I was impressed with how smoothly our event went. Also shout out to Felita for directing my rehearsal-- which was extremely helpful given my large wedding party. I thoroughly enjoyed working with these ladies and I definitely recommend them for any large event! -

I hired That Spark Events to do day-of coordination and they absolutely EXCEEDED my expectations by MILES. My day-of coordinator was Ash-Lee, and she was amazing!! Prior to the wedding, Ash-Lee was incredibly responsive to any questions I had, she was very organized and detail-orientated, and she was so patient when I messaged her with updates and changes along the way. :) She communicated with all of my vendors so that everything was clear for them the day of. She put together a wedding timeline, which was sooooo detailed it blew me away. It alleviated a HUGE burden off my shoulders, and it helped contribute to a smooth and perfect wedding day! She also helped out on our rehearsal dinner, and I was impressed by how she directed my wedding party and the tips she gave! She is a wedding planning machine :). Our wedding was BEAUTIFUL and seamless. The day of could not have happened without Ash-Lee and her assistants. They even did some light decorating with the decor I provided and worked with my maid of honor to make sure all the decor was perfect. I'm a bit of a control freak so it was GREAT to know that things were in great hands. I really, really can't thank That Spark Events, Ash-Lee, and her assistants enough! I would give more than 5 stars if I could! -

I met Felita at my friends wedding, and saw how organized and pretty my friend's wedding was 3 years ago. Felita was such a pleasure to work with. She made planning easy and stress free; Planning a wedding with unforeseen circumstances like Covid wasn't easy, but she made sure she was always there if I needed someone to talk to pertaining the wedding. Professionalism, organization, detail-oriented, knowledgeable and calm, all these speak to Felita's actions through the process.
Our wedding was really unforgettable, from the vendors that she recommended, to the smallest details she advised. We heard so much good feedback from our guests and family in the days following the wedding. We are beyond grateful to have had Felita as our wedding planner.
We absolutely recommend her without hesitation. -

Hiring That Spark Events was the best decisions we could have made for our wedding. Felita and her staff were incredible. She worked closely with us though the whole process & helped make the wedding planning much easier than I ever thought it could be! We were planning a destination wedding & so planning seemed very daunting. Felita helped us find & hire dependable, amazing & local vendors. Without having someone who is tuned into the local wedding scene, it is very hard to find affordable vendors that you know you can count on. Because Felita could lean on her experiences & connections to the South Carolina wedding industry, she helped us stick to a budget that I really wasn't sure would be enough for a destination wedding in Charleston. Between the periodic check-ins that we had, the amazing planning interface that she uses, and the plethora of decorations that she allowed us to borrow, she made keeping to our budget easy!
Not only did Felita make our whole planning process seamless, but she also helped make the actual wedding day go perfectly as well.The day of she and her team coordinated everything. They took care of working with all our vendors, all deliveries, & all of the set up. We were able to relax & focus all of our attention on each other & enjoying the time with our guests. I am so glad we hired Felita & That Spark Events to plan and coordinate our wedding. I cannot say it enough...it was the best decision we made for our wedding! -

There aren't enough words in the English language to express the gratitude I have for Felita and That Spark Events. The wedding had to be postponed due hurricane Florence. We survived the storm and the wedding took place on December 1st, 2018. Felita, brought to life a very romantic wedding day that screamed LOVE!!! Family and friends said, that this was the best wedding and reception they had been to in a long time. If your looking for a friendly, sweet, go above and beyond coordinator and event planner. I am so thankful to have found Felita to help plan my wedding. For almost a year she helped me find vendors within my budget, walk me through big and small action items and most importantly help minimize my worries. On the wedding day Felita was incredible! She helped keep the day on track as much as possible, trouble shoot an issue with our car rental and make sure we were having a great time. She truly brought my vision to life and I am so thankful! Felita is truly an expert at what she does and I can't recommend her enough. Even after the wedding, she helped us with an unexpected vendor issue. Felita did a great job decorating our ceremony and Reception hall. She made me wanna get married all over again. Felita listened, took our ideas and transformed our Hall into a King and Queen themed wedding. She is the best!! Her prices were reasonable as well. -

To keep it simple, I found & stayed in touch w/ all vendors I negotiated and hired to the best of my knowledge b/c I got NO direction from That Spark. It was SO bad that the Monday of my wedding, I just happened to check my email & catering was requesting all of this info after I had been told OVER & OVER to let go & allow That Spark to handle it. The caterer, venue, photographer & DJ (@ least) STILL hadn't heard from her. I WAS LIVID. I did everything!!!!!! (Including plenty of nights with no sleep, anxiety like I have NEVER had AND family members having to do SO much work before and AFTER the wedding. Plus things of mine are MISSING! AND to top this off, we've been married a month. I haven't heard a PEEP from her. She got her money, did a horrendous job and then goes about her day. I CANNOT DESCRIBE how disappointed, ripped off and used I feel.
