The Terrell House was an excellent choice for our wedding and stay! We rented out the entirety of the bed and breakfast for the weekend of our wedding day! Anica, the coordinator, Alex, the chef, and ALL the staff were incredible. Linda was by far the best she worked with us to achieve our dream wedding and she went above and beyond for us. My wife and I will always be eternally grateful for all that was done for us. If you have the opportunity to host your own wedding here don’t hesitate!

The Terrell House B&B was the most amazing venue and the perfect choice for our destination wedding. I cannot say enough positive things about the property, location, amenities, catering and most importantly, the staff. I worked with Ms. Linda over the phone and by email prior to a site visit. She offered fantastic suggestions for vendors and was a delight to work with. If possible, the B&B is more impressive in person and we were thrilled with our choice. It is seriously a stunning venue and offered a fantastic New Orleans experience. One of the best parts is that we were able to rent out the entire B&B for our guests which really added to the overall wedding experience. The rooms are amazing and no detail is overlooked. Ms. Linda has impeccable taste and has done a fabulous job decorating the mansion. EVERYONE was impressed, and I do mean every single guest that I spoke to mentioned how amazing the venue was. They also made sure to comment on the quality and taste of the food not only during our reception, but each day at breakfast. Ms. Linda and her staff, especially Ms. Nika, went above and beyond to assist myself and my family during our stay. From helping my parents secure airport transportation to making sure my son's allergies were being considered, the staff truly took care of us. Ms. Nika even got us food during our reception and then wrapped it up for us when we were swept away for another photo obligation. (She is an angel!) The personalized, professional service they offered was not only sincerely appreciated, but such a rarity these days. The Terrell House B&B holds a special place in my heart and I cannot wait to return.

My daughter's wedding at Terrell House was beyond our expectations. This B&B checked all the boxes when it came to our wedding needs. With the help of Linda and her wonderful assistant and chef we were able to plan a destination wedding in four months. Their attention to detail is amazing and made all the difference in creating the perfect wedding day. From the beautifully appointed rooms in the house, the amazing adjoining courtyard, delicious food and the comfortable, quiet accommodations it was everything the bride and groom hoped for and more. I was apprehensive trying to plan a destination wedding but Linda put me at ease offering suggestions for all kinds of vendors such as the photographer, bakery, 2nd line band and transportation and then coordinated with each of them to ensure that everything ran smoothly. She also offered to provide the flowers for the wedding party and tables and they were gorgeous. If we didn't think of a detail, they did. It was great working with the whole team. It was also nice to be able to stay right on site and enjoy all that the B&B had to offer. We will definitely stay here again. If you want an all inclusive intimate location for your wedding with professional, experienced wedding coordinators look no further than the Terrell House. You will not be disappointed.

We had a beautiful wedding at The Terrell House-the venue really exudes charm and comfort while still feeling upscale and classy. All of our guests gave us rave reviews, with many saying it was the nicest wedding they had every been to! We really didn't have to splurge much on flowers or decor, The Terrell House itself is really all you need, everything else is a bonus. Linda was great to work with and has wonderful taste. Because there are two other lovely buildings associated with the main property, our family was also able to stay at the venue for our wedding weekend. The celebratory atmosphere this provided was magical and something I will always cherish. Bottom line-The Terrell House is a gem!

Really loved Terrell House. Linda and her chefs were very flexible and delivered a gorgeous vegan wedding for us (complete with vegan ice cream). Our families stayed there for the weekend and loved it.

I can’t say enough wondeful things about Terrell House and Linda. Our wedding was a dream come true. Linda and the staff made it so easy to get married and let us enjoy the day while they took care of everything.

We had the honor of getting married and having our reception at the Terrell House on 10/21. Miss Linda, the owner, is the most accommodating and lovely person to work with. Not only did she help us with the planning process and respond to every crazy stressed out wedding planning email I had for over a year, but she made our wedding more beautiful than even we imagined it could be. The Terrell House alone is so beautiful you don't really need any decorations, but the flowers that Linda puts together herself will blow you away. I sent her a collage of pictures on my flower ideas, and what we got was so perfect, it was like she read my mind. What food we served was very important to us, and you will not be disappointed by the food here, it was exceptional, my guests are still telling me how delicious it was. I had guests tell me that the crawfish toast that Linda recommended was the best thing they have ever eaten. The rooms within the Terrell House are so put together and beautiful that you really feel like a special bride staying there on your wedding night, or getting ready the day of in one. Linda also deals with all the vendors day of, like having the cake and liquor delivered, so it was another thing that I didn't have to worry about. The level of service that you receive here is second to none, we had such a beautiful day, in the perfect New Orleans courtyard. I highly recommend the Terrell House to anyone, and cannot thank Linda enough for making our dream wedding happen.

My goal was to have an outside wedding, and I loved the look of a courtyard. I wanted to find a location that would look good even with a tent if it rained. I searched all over New Orleans and Terrell was the perfect match for the look I wanted and my budget. The house fit all of my family to stay for the weekend, the food was incredible, and working with Linda made everything a breeze! She was very honestly with pricing and was always willing to work with us on literally everything! Such as, I didn’t order flowers for the tables because of my budget, but my mother-in-law was able to send them over from the rehearsal dinner to the Terrell house for the wedding where Linda stored and dressed them with up with leftovers from my bouquet. Linda and the staff went above and beyond to make the wedding day amazing. I would love to come back and stay in the house for an anniversary. Thank you so much!

We had a magical evening celebrating our wedding with family and friends at Terrell House. The venue was very easy to work with, the catering was delicious and the courtyard was perfect for us. I can't even begin to say how thankful and appreciative we were of Linda and the Terrell House team! They made our wedding weekend a dream come true. I am in special events in Philadelphia and have been for fifteen plus years and all i can say is Linda has the patience of a saint! Our experience was southern hospitality at it's finest! The whole planning experience was done from a far and Linda was a truly great resource and really worked with us to create the special weekend we had envisioned. The courtyard is a perfect setting for an intimate wedding. We were super lucky with the weather and avoided the rain. The menu was perfect compliment to the Garden district setting. Southern style and beautifully displayed. They accommodated all our special requests with grace and ease. We adored Chef Shannon as well! Her jalapeno grits are ridiculously good!! We had all of our family and friends stay at the bed + breakfast for the weekend which I can hands down say is truly a special experience. The rooms are all beautifully designed and decorated but still very comfortable. The onsite team was a dream and my family and friends felt so loved and cared for, they all want to do again every year! We highly recommend this to local couples and those planning a destination wedding. We will be back again to just enjoy the bed + breakfast and relive our amazing weekend. I cannot say enough great things about our experience with the Terrell House. We used the Terrell House for our wedding reception and my entire family stayed in the B&B the week prior to the wedding. Linda and Shannon made planning from a distance (I live in Boston and my mom lives in Kansas) a breeze. She is easy to get a hold of and our communication was very easy.
The service and professionalism the Terrell House provides is second to none. My wedding guests were impressed with the service from the passed hors’dourves to the friendly bar staff. If you want a fun tasteful event and things to run smoothly all evening, the Terrell House is your place. The house is gorgeous and well kept, but it’s the staff that really makes this place special. I left on Sunday feeling like they had become close family friends—such a great feeling.
The Terrell House is a beautiful. The house and guest rooms are stunning and comfortable. The courtyard is pleasant, but really came alive the night of our wedding. It is rare that the idea that takes shape in our minds is the exact thing that comes of an event, but Linda listened and did a wonderful job. The lights strung overhead, the candles in the lanterns, flowers in the fountain, and the table décor were exactly what I had envisioned. Linda is able to suggest vendors for certain things (photographer, cake, etc) that is very helpful for those of us who live out of town.
The food the Terrell House does is wonderful. Morning breakfasts were great, but it was the wedding night menu that really shined. My wedding guests raved and my bridesmaids asked if they were allowed to go back for seconds (rare for these ladies).
Thank you to the staff at the Terrell House (Linda, Shannon, Arthur, et al)! You made my wedding week one that I will not forget! I would book the Terrell House in a heartbeat if I had it to do all over again.

Linda O'Brien at The Terrell House is a dream to work with. I'm a longtime resident of New Orleans and a member of the hospitality industry. I had access to and knowledge of dozens of exquisite wedding venues and couldn't be happier with choosing The Terrell House.

The house is renovated, charming, clean, and beautifully decorated with amazing artwork and furniture.

The food was my favorite part. Linda catered our Jazz Brunch reception with amazing things like shrimp and cheese grits, sausage frittata, tomato/fresh basil and caramelized onion tarts, and spinach muffins. The crowd favorite (other than the shrimp and grits) was the crème brule French toast with crème fraiche.

We rented all of The Terrell House guest rooms for family which was convenient and fun. There was a suite for my mom and dad with a sitting area which became a great meeting place. I had complete confidence in Linda and her team which made the whole event a breeze. Her calm and helpful approach kept us all happy and carefree. The venue is beautiful, the courtyard is perfect and the team is a joy. A bride could feel confident picking this venue even sight-unseen.

My wedding was GORGEOUS!! Linda helped to ensure everything turned out perfectly. I knew by how beautiful the Terrell House was that I could totally trust her with the details of my wedding. I can't say enough about how beautiful everything was. We filled the guest rooms with our wedding guests, and they all thoroughly enjoyed their stays. Linda was a gracious host and the staff was outstanding.

The food was delicious, and my flowers and decor were absolutely beautiful. She made my dreams become reality!!

The only thing you should know is that Linda does not allow hairspray inside the house, so we had to make arrangements for the hair to be sprayed outside. The weather was perfect, so it wasn't a big problem for us, but if there was rain or terrible heat, it would have been more troublesome.

Overall, I would definitely recommend the Terrell House!! So many people have told me that is was the most beautiful wedding they have ever attended, and I owe so much of it to Linda and the Terrell House staff. I can't wait to go back for a visit!!!

The Terrell House is a hidden gem full of Southern charm located in the Lower Garden District. My husband and I wanted a small and intimate wedding in a beautiful private courtyard. That's exactly what we found in the Terrell House.

From the very start, Linda O'brien was a delight to work with. She literally met with my husband and me with zero notice, and took over an hour of her time to show us around and talk to us about the venue. Linda was so warm and welcoming, that we knew we could look no further.

The venue itself contains both an indoor and outdoor area, so that people can retreat into the cool air conditioning at any time. It has a long brick walkway for an aisle, a gorgeous fountain filled with flowers, candle-lit trees, lush green plants, a back porch perfect for taking pictures or for musicians, and 3 steps to serve as your "staging" area.

It's also the perfect place to stay. Each room is color-coordinated, and has the most comfortable beds you've ever laid in. My husband and I stayed in the Gold Suite, which had an adjourning room where my bridesmaids and I could get ready before the wedding. My mother-in-law stayed in the Creole townhouse, which had 2 rooms, a bathroom, a living room, and a kitchen. My mother, however, chose to stay in the Red Room located right off the courtyard. (This was the perfect place to escape to while we tied the bustle on my wedding dress.)

The most rememberable part of our wedding, besides the ceremony itself, was the food. The food was AMAZING! Linda had a wide menu from which to choose. She also let us add things to the menu (like her famous bread pudding to accompany the wedding cake for dessert). She even threw-in a few free appetizers in addition to the ones we picked out. Everything was delicious! And now my family from California wants her recipe to the shrimp and cheese grits.

Linda also arranged our flowers & bouquets. They were absolutely gorgeous!

A+ to the Terrell House!

We loved every minute of our stay at the Terrell House and the wedding reception. It was so beautiful and perfect we could not have asked for anything more. Would 100% recommend to anyone looking to stay or rent there. Another huge plus was the food, it was delicious which is normally hard to do when serving a large group of people.

This venue is absolutely gorgeous and th eowner actually did all of the decorating herself using both the items I brought as well as her own. She does not prefer to email, but to communicate over the phone, which is actually helpful in most cases. She did make a comment to my future mother-in-law that she would not be making a profit off our wedding since we were not having a long reception. Other than this, she was professional. The value was great compared to other venues in New Orleans! The owner is not extremely flexible when it comes to caterers and will only work with a select few. This was actually helpful in my case because it made it easier to narrow down the food choices!
