Terrace Catering comes Highly Recommended

Terrace Catering catered my daughter's wedding. They did an exceptional job from the moment we initially contacted them, clear through their time at the venue. Not only was the food delicious, I feel their service went above and beyond what we expected. For example, not only were the servers friendly, but they also helped clear the plates from the tables so the guests could continue to visit. Multiple people commented about the delicious menu. I would highly recommend Terrace Catering, Pamela and her team.

Awesome service and food

I contacted Terrace catering via email. Pam and I were able to come up with everything!!! In the days of COVID it is hard to meet as well as my busy schedule. Pam was able to also accommodate individual servings that helped me with our 70th birthday party to keep our guests feeling comfortable and safe. The luau food that we came up with was amazing!!! Lots of great comments on the food. The bacon wrapped dates, coconut shrimp were the hit of the party!! Thank you Pam for being a part of our event!!!🎉

Awards Banquet

Pamela was wonderful to deal with! She made sure that all of our needs were met prior to her arrival! They were on time and the food was hot and wonderful! We will be using them again for our next banquet!!!!!

Each year our committee for Non Profit The Single Mom KC Organization stages a very popular luncheon buffet and Fashion Show event. From my initial contact with Pamela Sanders, owner of Terrace Catering, I found her to be immediately responsive and extremely helpful, with no mention of my numerous phone calls during her busiest hours, providing excellent buffet suggestions, address of special dietary concerns, tabletop décor ideas for our committee to provide, serving assistance, budgetary restraints and working with our committee. Our committee recently received extremely positive feedback from Fashion Show attendees regarding this year’s event. Pamela and her Terrace Catering staff had everything to do with the seamless buffet and tabletop set up and clean up, excellent food and beautiful presentation, friendly and helpful serving staff, and overall professionalism. We give highest praise to Terrace Catering and have suggested them to others who desire an outstanding caterer! Thank you, Pamela, for all of your efforts to assure our event was a great success.

Pamela did an awesome job helping me create a menu for an employee appreciation breakfast; it was exactly what we wanted! Our menu included quiches, scrambled egg casseroles, sausage Gouda hash, bacon, fruit salad, double chocolate zucchini bread and cinnamon rolls. Her food was homemade and delicious, and the service was great. Pamela was a pleasure to work with and was prompt in responding to e-mails and phone calls. I would highly recommend Terrace Catering.

Pam and her team did an awesome job to make our wedding exactly what we wanted! We chose to do a heavy hors d'oeuvres buffet. Every item was delicious and the display was beautiful!

We would tell anyone to hotfoot it to Pam (and Mark) as soon as they could - never mind tasting the food of any other caterers. We could not be any happier with the food and the warmth of their service at our daughter's wedding, not to mention their professional demeanor from first contact through the tasting to the cleanup after the wedding reception.
Thanks for providing us with worry-free catering and bartending services!

I used Terrace Catering for three days of employee meals. They were very flexible with any changes in the orders that I needed to make and the food was great! All of the employees loved it.

Talk about great tasting food, outstanding service, a stress free event and all round wonderful people to work with , that would be Terrace Catering. We made all our wedding dinner arrangements by phone long distance and everything was perfect. Pamela provided everything for a very reasonablereasonable price. Her food is to die for, appetizers during our cocktail hour were outstanding. The mango chicken roll ups and her homemade hummus are must haves at any event. Our main course was two meat choices for guests with salad, veggies, potatoes and her crescent rolls that will melt in your mouth. If you are having a dessert table as well the stuffed strawberries and Carmel pecan cheese cake are sinfully delicious. She does all the set up, provided us with servers, plates, utensils, drinks and clean up. Her husband was our bartender. Besides great service and great food they are just nice people and great to work with. Thank you for making our wedding day special and stress free. We are now back in Alabama living Happily Ever After.

I cant say enough good things about Terrace Catering. Pamela and her husband Mark were a delight to work with from the first meeting we had with them all the way through our wedding. Our food was delicious. Pamela was helpful, receptive and responsive to our ideas and able to execute a fantastic meal at our outdoor wedding. Before we booked with Terrace we spoke with other catering services. No one was able to match Terrace Catering's customer service, responsiveness and delicious options. Pamela and Mark are also kind, warm and fun people to talk to, which is a bonus. Their guidance helped calm our wedding planning jitters. Our wedding meal tasted fantastic, and the service provided by Terrace's staff was impeccable. Book them for your wedding now, you wont regret it.

Terrace Catering was super to work with. Very responsive to my call and messages and patient with me during menu choices. At the wedding they were on time and quick to set up, they set up quietly, no one even realized that they were there. My husband and I got several comments on how good the food was and that made us feel really good. We used their bartending service too and it went very smoothly as well. I will recommend Terrace Catering to everyone needing this service.

Terrace Catering was recommended to us by another caterer, who had to cancel a week before our event. Terrace did a fantastic job working with our already-existing menu and they were flexible about our service needs and budget for the event. Throughout our 3-hour-long event, the Terrace Catering owner and staff constantly maintained the catering set up so that everything ran smoothly and there was always plenty of fantastic food for our guests. They received many compliments from our guests!

Planning a Memorial for a loved one is a tough thing to do. Pamela was beyond wonderful to work with. She took care of everything, including coordinating wth the church, so that I could focus on preparing for the service. The food was excellent! Pam and her team were kind, gracious and helpful during the entire process.

The best experience I have ever had with a catering service. The staff were so helpful, polite and accommodating. The food was delicious and the Cesar dressing is the best we have ever had. I would highly recommend Terrace catering and I will definitely use them again if I need to.

Everything was done as we agreed on, on time, done beautifully. Pamela is great to work with, as was her staff the night of our dinner. If I have to find any fault with anything, the asparagus was overcooked. A minor thing in the scheme of things. Everyone attending the event was very happy.

I was hosting an event for the Ford Falcon National at an Olathe winery and Pam did the catering for us. We had members arriving on Wed, Thursday and Friday. I wasn't sure how many people would sign up even though we asked that they RSVP in advance. Pam worked with me up too a few hours before so I give her my final count. The food was all very fresh and very good and a beautiful presentation. She gives you more than you need so no one went without. In fact, we had a lot of leftovers. i would very much recommend her for your event.

Terrace Catering catered the food for our Cancer Survivor lunch at the Kansas City, Missouri Relay for Life, benefiting the American Cancer Society. The food was delicious, with very original recipes, while helping the survivors' need for healthy options. I was fortunate to be able to sample the left overs! The caesar salad dressing is the best I've had and the croutons were freshly-made and fantastic! It's the extra touches like those that make the difference between good food and great!
You can count on Terrace Catering to make your event special and memorable! I highly recommend them!

Terrace Catering provides extraordinary gourmet catering services for whatever your party need large or small. I've used them twice, most recent for a birthday cocktail party featuring heavy appetizers. I left the selection up to Pamela, she recommend the perfect menu. Our guests left raving about the food! Presentation, quality, service and value is top notch.

My groom and I chose Terrace Catering for several reasons. What first attracted us to them is the immense variety of dishes they offer, especially offering vegetarian options.
then, when we called Pam, she and Christine were able to help us choose the best items to fit our personalities, our tastes and our budget. And we had a sampling of several items. We were sold!

They were a joy to work with and the food was amazing. Many of our guests shared their complements as well.

I would highly recommend Terrace Catering for any event.

Pamela and Christina were awesome! I had a 13 month engagement and throughout that time the "vision" for my wedding changed several times. The Terrace Catering team was so flexible and offered great suggestions as we moved from a sit down Italian dinner to more of a cocktail party-appetizer-new years theme. They were very easy to get a hold of, they came and met at my home several times to discuss options, pricing and "the vision" and they had a blast at the wedding! From our first meeting with Pamela and Christina, all the way to our daughter's wedding reception, we

We really enjoyed working with Terrace Catering. We had a rough go with the first caterer we contacted (lack of customer service, acting too busy to return calls, weirdly high quote). Terrace, on the other hand, demonstrated excellent customer service skills. Their response time was extremely short, and the quoted price was much lower than the first caterer (and we were able to do the before-ceremony cocktail hour we wanted). It meant that I did not spend any time on my wedding way worrying about the food and its service, which is how it should be.

Terrace Catering was very nice to work with. The owner came and did a tasting with us, kept in contact, and provided invaluable help at the Reception. I personally didn't like most of the h'orderves, but my husband and the guests gave great feedback. My Maid of Honor liked the Bacon Wrapped Apricots so much that she took some home to her mom! (These were my favorite too.)

Pam and her team did a wonderful job making our wedding buffet taste amazing and flow perfectly. We had a lot of people there and the buffet table provided by the venue wasn't huge. Terrace catering made it work and got everyone fed in a timely and organized manner!

Terrace Catering was absolutely wondwrful to work with! I found them online and was nervous to use them for my formal wedding since I hadn't used them before. But they were fabulous! Their director was prompt in responding to emails/phone calls, was flexible with a menu, and even offered to make things that weren't on their website catering list. Her staff was pleasant and polite, and the food was delicious. You'd me dress how affordable it was! My only minor complaint is that we were reassured there would be leftover food to take home (which there was), but the serving staff did tell guests they couldn't have more of one dish or another, as well as limit servings of appetizers. Other than that the evening was perfect, and I absolutely can't recommend Terrace Catering enough, they made my wedding a dream!

Pam is responsive and flexible, tries to accommodate your needs. My only suggestion is to change up the sandwich menu. Some menu items feel overused, tired. Others could stand improvement.

Terrace Catering Made Our Taco Bar a Hit

Terrace Catering was fantastic! Pamela and her staff took great care of us, and the taco bar was a huge hit. Everyone loved the queso, I wish I’d gotten some! Great food, great service, and such an easy, fun experience. Thank you!

Overall we were pretty satisfied with Terrace Catering who did our wedding on August 11, 2012. They are a very sweet mother and daughter company that gave us a good deal because we signed our contract with them by a certain date through a promotion they were running. The pasta was a little more rubbery than expected which is partly why we chose a different pasta dish than the one we originally tried because we noticed that in the tasting as well. The tip is tricky only because it was expected and had to be calculated ahead of time to have that much cash on hand so that being said it seemed to be more of a service charge than a traditional tip. Also, we weren't notified in a timely fashion two lines for dinner instead of four would make dinner take twice as long as was planned and cost twice as much. Other than those few things they were fantastic to work with and even put water carafes with fruit in them on each of our tables.

Wedding took place outside a winery. Dinner was delayed by almost an hour due to the lengthy introduction of the wedding party (they were all introduced as "stars" in the wedding movie, complete with atuobiographical information on each, as both bride and groom were actors). This lengthy introduction was not related to us until a few weeks prior to the wedding at which point we advised them to go to four lines versus the two lines as we had originally agreed on. Our gratuity is based on our service and is therefore not part of the bill. I suppose we could add our gratuity into our bill, but then it really would not be based on our servioce, but would just be another charge.

The food was fantastic. Our guests raved about the taste. We had Terrace Catering do appetizers - bruschetta, spinach artichoke dip, chicken drummers, a charcuterie plate, and a great Caesar salad. They coordinated with a second caterer, Priarie Fire Oven Food Truck, who made specialty pizzas on site. Terrace Catering accommodated all our needs and were wonderful on site. Although we did not have Terrace prepare the main entree, we have had their food at other events and it was outstanding.

Pamela was very pleasant and she and her staff worked under some difficult conditions for this wedding dinner (no water supply and very hot/humid weather). I think she had forgotten our discussion before the event regarding the lack of a water supply at the venue and she also did not mention the need for a buffet table. To her credit, she was able to cope with these problems well and also moved the serving area for the appetizers before the dinner to a shaded area at the last minute. Kudos to her and her staff for dealing with these problems!!

Pam and her staff were wonderful. She was able to get back to me about catering our senior show last minute after cancellations from the last 2 caterers. She worked within our budget and had an excellent menu. Everyone was very happy with the food options and the desserts were delicious.

1. The food was fabulous.
2. The price was pretty good. $3000 for 230 people, appetizer menu. 6 appetizers, one of each per guest.
3. Some miscommunication, causing them to charge us $230 for water, tea and coffee the DAY OF the reception. It was later sorted out in our favor.
4. Walked in the door 20 minutes before my reception started, guests were already there.
5. Prepared food in front of guests, kind of unprofessional.

We did this wedding with a couple who wanted appetizers only, some served buffet style and some passed to the guests (the guests were on two levels, with the buffet downstairs and the passed appetizers upstairs). The $3000 charge was discounted as an early bird special. Our contract required us t arrive by 6PM, we were parked at 6:03pm according to GPS records and time text on my cell (showing start time in order to figure server time for paychecks). Reception was to start at 7PM. Since this was an appetizer ONLY wedding, drinks are not included as they are with our lunch and dinner menus. THE DAY OF the reception at 10:50AM, the bride wrote and called us asking to add water, tea, coffee, and soda. (the venue was going to charge her $5 per person to provide these items) I responded to her call from the kitchen,where we were preparing her food and told her we could provide water, tea, and coffee; but we did not have the time to pick up soda. She said ok, she would have her husband pick up soda. (they were married earlier this month in Hawaii) I followed up this call with an email saying that we would require a $1 per person fee for providing drinks resulting in a bill due of $230.00. I said I would pay the taxes on it since I had no way of adding it to their contract. I never heard back from the bride. When we arrived that evening at 6PM, I did not see the bride and groom. I did notice them later and asked her if she had received my email. They both said no, so I said there was a $230.00 bill due for the drinks they ordered earlier that day. I said I would appreciate a check either that evening or they could mail it, whatever they chose to do. This was a private conversation in a hushed tone, near the buffet table where I was working. The groom came over later and asked why drinks were not included. I explained that we charge for drinks with appetizers, that this was not in the contract etc. He said, OK, thats fine. (I know, as a caterer, if you do not have it in the contract and have not been paid for it, you should not provide it because you will likely NOT get paid for it. I felt we had a good connection with this client and felt since we were doing them a favor etc. it would be fine.) After the reception, when I wrote them the next day to ask them to pay the balance in 10 days, I got back a nasty note from the bride saying that if I pushed them for the $230.00, they would write poor reviews for my company on google, yelp, and any other website they could find. The bride asserted that she understood the drinks were going to be FREE, though that was never in any email or contract detail. I debated over it for a bit, but in the interest of fair play and customer service, decided to just write it off. It hardly seemed worth all the upheaval. I wrote the bride saying I was sorry she misunderstood, and that I would write off the charge. I also said she was free to write any review she felt best relayed her experience. When we arrived the only people in the venue were the manager, who let us in, the brides mother, and other venue personnel. There was one other vendor setting up at the opposite side of the room. Our contract was to open the line at the couples say so, approx 7PM. The coffee which takes 20-25 minutes to percolate, was ready to serve at 6:30PM. The line was ready to open and we had servers upstairs passing appetizers at 7PM, but the groom actually opened the line closer to 7:30PM. The venue did not have a kitchen or backroom for staging. The venue manager even said she had never had so many tables in the place. it was very tight quarters and we were stuck working off the tops of our coolers and hot boxes to assemble several last minute items. The bride ordered tomato and herb goat cheese bruschetta, which if made in advance gets soggy. We prepped it with the goat cheese in advance and then assemble it on site with the tomato and herb mixture, which is more liquid. These went over very well. The other item that had to be assembled on site was a mini baked potato with marscapone cheese (if assembled ahead of time, the marscapone melts away). This was all explained to the couple at their tasting. At that time, they mentioned that there was a small back room. The back room was a 6X6 closet that housed the heater and water heater, a hot box will not even fit in it. The venue manager did not know she would need a drink table, so that took a few minutes to round up, she also did not have a linen for it, but we had one with us (we do normally charge for linens as well) so we used that. Two staff spent three hours that night hunched over a cooler assembling potatos and bruschetta (that earned raves) in a small hallway adjacent to the bathrooms. I felt horrible for them as I know their backs were really hurting. Two servers walked up and down stairs all night to pass appetizers to guests upstairs. The other two servers assisted guests and kept the line and drink station full. All in all, it was too many people in too small a venue. The venue manager did her best to help accomodate us and even moved a few tables closer to the front to give us a few extra feet. The take away here is that I should never take off the truck what I have not been paid for and being seen as professional is truely a matter of opinion.

Terrible food

They catered our company holiday party, 150 guests. Carrots and green beans were hard, salmon was cold, salad had no dressing, mac and cheese had no cheese. The staff was stingy with servings and rude. Most everyone went out to dinner after the party. I continue to get complaints from employees about their dinner experience.

I am so terribly sorry that you felt the food was below standard. We strive to deliver quality fresh food and do so with our clients best interest in mind. To that end, we always start from scratch and take extra care to make sure everything we deliver is recipe perfect. I will address my staff. I think they just did not know to come back and ask for more dressing. Thank you for your comments as they can only help me get better.
