Joshua and Elizabeth were amazing to work with! Leading up to the wedding they were always responsive and open to our ideas about photos. They shot both our engagement and wedding photos and we received a lot of compliments on both!
We had to make several last minute changes to our photo lineup on the day of the wedding because of rain and elderly relatives not being able to stand for too long, but Joshua and Elizabeth both took these changes in stride and were helpful in getting family members wrangled.
Our solo shots also looked amazing and there were a lot of beautiful candids of our wedding party dancing and having fun throughout the night.
Overall we had an amazing experience working with Tell It Well and would definitely recommend them to others! -

Josh made my wedding pictures a wonderful experience! He was kind, professional, reassuring & very friendly. Photos can be a stressful situation but Josh ensured that it was a fun and creative experience that we genuinely enjoyed! He not only had great ideas for photos but made great use of our very limited time before the ceremony. We had a fantastic experience with Josh & truly cannot recommend him enough! -

We couldn't be happier with our engagement photos! From the moment we met Joshua, we felt completely at ease. They took the time to understand our vision and made the whole experience feel natural, fun, and so special. The photos perfectly captured our relationship and we couldn't be more appreciative! Their eye for light, detail, and composition is incredible, and they made our cherry blossom shoot feel like a dream. We’ll treasure these photos forever and truly can’t thank them enough. Joshua did an absolutely marvelous job capturing our big day, working with the occasionally overstimulated bride (guilty!,) shifting nimbly and easily from posed portraiture to more in-the-moment documentary style, and fitting in perfectly with our intimate and offbeat event. His photos came out gorgeously and we will treasure these incredible memories for the rest of our lives. He had some brilliant ideas for shots that came out amazingly well! Multiple guests pointed out how wonderfully he fit into the day - never obtrusive, always friendly and upbeat, and managed to get some of the best photos I've ever seen of many of my friends and family. If I could give Josh, Elizabeth and Tell It Well 20 out of 5 stars, I would! -

I would 100% recommend Tell It Well Photography to anyone looking for a wedding or engagement photographer. Josh and Lizzie were professional and knowledgeable from our first email inquiry to the moment we received our finished photos. Josh made us feel comfortable on the day of the wedding, and our photos are absolutely perfect. The price was amazing for two photographers and for the quality of images that we received. We can't recommend them enough! -

Best wedding photography team!! Our hope was to find a wedding photographer that could capture more than just the events of the day, but also the feelings of the day. We just had our one year anniversary and looking back at all of the pictures brought all of the nervous, excited, happy feelings and emotions flooding back! 1000% recommend Elizabeth and Joshua. They were so kind, fun, helpful and were able to capture the day without drawing attention away from guests. Friends and family absolutely loved the photos! -

They are the best photographers I could have imagined!
I cannot describe how perfectly our engagement shoot went with Lizzie and Joshua! They were so helpful in teaching us how to pose well and really took our vision and recreated it. They were so kind and really made us feel comfortable in front of the camera. While they were quick at getting really good shots, they also didn't make us feel rushed and allowed us to enjoy some moments too. It was more than a photoshoot, it was a really fun experience. Plus the pictures are FANTASTIC and we are in love with them. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! -

Joshua and Elizabeth are a perfect pair; makes sense that they are married! Their photography talents make them a dream team and we couldn't have chose a better company for our engagement and wedding photos. We purchased one of their larger bundles so we were able to get a two hour engagement photoshoot and 8 hours of wedding day coverage along with one wedding album. I ended up purchasing another hour on the wedding day to suit the day's timeline better. We had a non-traditional theme for our engagement shoot and they knocked the posing and lighting out of the park! Josh and Liz make you feel comfortable and confident so you end up with beautiful photos. Everything from the initial contract to finalizing the day of photography timeline is organized and seamless. They work so hard to turn around the final photos quickly. I would recommend them to anyone who wants photographers that feel more like friends. -

Groom here, My bride and I did it right by using Tell It Well Photography. She wanted an engagement session and Tell It Well did such a great job during that session that we used their photos for the Save The Date and the Invitations. During that session they taught us some poses that really saved time on the one day where time is the enemy (wedding day).
If you are here reading this, it means you do your research, I do too - I found too many options where "Someone" will be sent on behalf of the agency. Tell It Well is the furthest from that, not only do you get to meet with your photographer and learn their name, but it's actually 2 people! We provided them with our schedule and they did pretty much everything else, we aren't photographers so we trusted them to find the best shots and in many cases, they had the best shot from 2 different angles. This duo set our expectations ahead of time and still managed to exceed them. Just call them already. -

Lizzie and Josh are an amazing team! Not only did they take beautiful photos, but they also helped us with our 'day of' timeline and were available to answer any other wedding related questions we had.
Our engagement shoot was very special to us. We were able to include our furbaby ferret, Sir. And they did an amazing job capturing our love for each other and for Sir.
For our wedding day, they helped us create a list of must have photos and allowed us to make changes if we needed to up until the last minute. If we had a spontaneous request, they were flexible and still made sure we were keeping on time. They captured beautifully staged and candid photos of us and our guests. At the end of the night, I heard many compliments of their photography and just how great they were to all of our guests. They weren't just pleasant to work with; they took their time to get to know some of our family and friends and it shows in their photos!
Our photos turned out to be even more beautiful than we could have imagined. Lizzie and Josh are such a great team. Their kindness, flexibility, and professionalism reflect their photography skills and love for capturing a couple's special moments.

Josh and Liz were truly the best photographers we could have asked for! We hired them very early in the wedding planning process and they were so accommodating when we had to scale down our celebration due to COVID. They helped to rearrange the timings and what was needed so that our little ceremony was perfect. They were so helpful and communicative during the last 14 months and they made sure our wedding day went by without a hitch. So quick to respond via email and text. No waiting weeks to hear back from them or any of that nonsense. They shot our engagement shoot and we were so nervous because we'd never had professional photos done before and by the time the wedding rolled around it felt so easy and natural working with them. Oh, and the photos are GORGEOUS! What more could you possibly asked for? -

Absolutley in love!!!
Josh and Liz are the dream team of wedding photographers! They were highly professional and personable enough where we were instantly comfortable with them over our first phone call. After talking with them we instantly knew they were going to be our photographers. They managed to give us excellent poses and got fantastic shots of us while also being mindful of the time so that we could return back to our reception. On our wedding we had some rain, but these two adjusted quick and were exceptionally creative with where we could get great shots. Throughout the wedding we had numerous people come up to us and comment on how they loved our photographers and how professional they are. They got hundreds of photos back to us within just a couple of weeks after the wedding and we could not be happier with the outcome! These two are a no brainer if you are looking for photographers capable of taking great shots who can also make it stress free and a lot of fun! -

Josh and Elizabeth were incredible! We met up initially for both of us to get more information about each other and after that meet up, we were sold! We even needed to change out date after hiring Josh and Elizabeth and they were flexible with us! On the day of the reception, they arrived early and ready to go. They had copies of our schedule for the day as well as the photo shot list I had put together. Josh and Elizabeth were very helpful in posing us, even modeling what they wanted us to do. They would both take photos of the same poses from different angles and that produced some stunning similar, yet different photos. Anything we needed photo-wise from us or our families, Josh and Elizabeth were willing to do! We received our photos while we were on our honeymoon - much quicker than I ever imagined! The photos we received were stunning and we cannot wait to share them with our family and friends. I would absolutely recommend Josh and Elizabeth to anyone looking for a wonderful, friendly, down-to-earth photographer team in Maryland! -

I met Josh and Lizzie at a bridal show and immediately they were personable and kind! When my fiancé and I went to go get our engagement photos done we were a little bit nervous since they were going to be taken at a public park, but they made us feel so comfortable and they helped talk us through poses. I had no idea what to expect since I have never really gotten any professional photos taken but OH MY GOSH, they knocked it out that park!
