June 2025 Wedding

We had a fantastic experience using Tastings! They were so flexible with letting us customize our menu, were great at communicating with us, our menu tasting was very intimate and everything was executed flawlessly on the wedding day. We trusted them to get everything done and handle the day without needing to bother us and they did amazing! Their pricing was also very reasonable for how great the food and overall service and experience was. We would definitely recommend them to anyone in the area.

A delicious wedding!

Tastings was recommended to us through our venue, and it was such a great decision to go with them! Most importantly, I have Celiac and it was important to me to not have to worry about gluten cross-contamination at my own wedding. Tastings made it very easy to for us to make everything on our menu gluten free. We also had a few guests with shellfish allergies and it was just such a relief to know that we had a caterer that really paid attention to these things. with all the allergy business out of the way, the food was also DELICIOUS! We have been to several other weddings this year and the food at ours was by far the best (except for one other wedding, and they also used Tastings for their catering). They also provided plates, flatware, and all the decor for the bar, dessert table, and stationary cocktail hour food station. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Amazing wedding catering

Tastings was extremely easy to work with. They handled everything and all of our requests. The food was great and it was all reasonably priced. Tastings made our wedding cake and we damaged the topper while packing up that night. Tastings made us another one at no charge! We’re so thankful we can have some next year for our anniversary! I would highly recommend them for any event

Delicious food, topnotch service, and professional staff!

Tastings is truly a well oiled machine. They know how to execute an event with seamless professionalism and absolutely delicious food. We knew the food would be good, but on the day of our wedding we could not believe how perfect everything was. Our guests kept coming up to us mentioning how delicious the passed appetizers, main course, and desserts were. The drinks continued to flow all night! The team continued to make sure my Husband and I had food and drinks the entire night as well. I never had to worry! Eileen, Sue, Amanda, and the entire Tastings team is incredible and made our wedding day memorable and perfect! I cannot recommend this team enough!

You Won't Find a Better Caterer!!

Wow. Where do I even start?! Tastings Caterers are simply amazing. They made our day so smooth - we didn't worry about a thing - and they were perfect. The food is outrageously good. We are still getting compliments about how good the food was weeks after our wedding. The staff was so friendly and our guests loved how great they were. Tasting's even helps with things other than just catering. They helped set up our table decor, moved our chairs from the ceremony location to our reception location (they were on the same property but saved us in not having to get double the chairs!), and help clean up everything at the end. They really are amazing - I am still blown away by how wonderful they made our wedding. 10/10!

Garden at Elmbank - 8.24.2025 - H&V

Working with the Tasting Team (Eileen and Sue) was one of the best choices we made for our wedding. Even though they were a preferred vendor at our venue and we found them later in the planning process, they immediately put us at ease. Because of their strong working relationship with our venue and how often they’ve executed events there, they quickly became a reliable point of contact—not just for catering, but for general execution questions too.
They helped us create a full, affordable menu while happily accommodating our ideas and suggesting thoughtful alternatives that made the day even more memorable. The food itself was outstanding and a true highlight for our guests—many said the cocktail hour food was the best wedding food they could remember having.
Service was equally exceptional: the staff was attentive, organized, and went above and beyond with thoughtful touches that made everything feel seamless. Their professionalism, warmth, and genuine care set them apart. For the quality, value, and peace of mind they provided, we can’t recommend them highly enough to other couples planning their wedding.

Perfection!

Sue, Eileen and the rest of the Tastings team were a dream to work with. They were responsive, kind and very professional. The food was the highlight of our wedding! We had so many guests tell us that this was the best wedding food they had ever had. It was restaurant quality. The tables were stunning, and the staffing was flawless. Best wedding food we've ever had!

You have to book with Tastings if you have the chance! My partner and I were blown away by the food on our wedding day provided by this team-- every part of the meal was to die for and we had guests coming up to us all night raving about how good the food was.

They were amazing about accommodating for dietary restrictions in our group and ran such a tight ship on the wedding day. And on top of all that, the pricing was more than reasonable. When other caterers in the area had quoted us ridiculous prices per plate, Tastings was a clear leader in value for the money we spent.

Wonderful Summer Wedding at Lyman Estate

Tastings Caterers were highly professional and organized, and most importantly, provided DELICIOUS food for our wedding. They do a great job with customization and allergies and listened well to our specific preferences. We also had wedding cake from them and it was SO GOOD and made things easier on us. Amazing catering!

Tasting's was amazing from beginning to end on making our day special. We attended their tasting event which was amazing, and they were very responsive via email with any questions we had. They gave us a selection of which plates and silverware to use, as well as were able to choose what color napkins we wanted. The food was amazing and we received tons of compliments for them, we chose the flank stank with chimichurri, herb roasted chicken with garlic herb au jus, and vegetarian paella. The coffee and tea station was also a great touch that guests appreciated. The bar service they offered was also very flexible and wonderful. We sincerely appreciate all of their work and they made our night unforgettable! Thank you!

Magic at the Lyman Estate

Hiring Tastings was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day! They were so easy to work with from beginning to end, always so pleasant and full of great insight and tips. They were thorough during the planning process and diligent on our wedding day to make sure that things were going exactly how we wanted. The whole staff was full of great energy, so attentive and always had an "it's your day - we're gonna have a great time" attitude! Sue and Eileen were so great about getting back to me about my many questions, editing and re-editing the menu and being so friendly, kind and helpful. They never made me feel like any questions were silly or like I was being annoying or burdening them (even though at some points I was definitely annoying even myself, lol). Amanda and Matt put together a beautiful theme and color pallet, adding in beautiful thoughtful touches to integrate their decor with mine and worked so hard on the day of and beforehand to make sure everything was just right. John absolutely knocked the menu out of the park; I have guests that are still raving about the menu - even some that asked me what things were after the fact because they were so good they were going to try and recreate them at home. And the staff! From the kitchen, to the floor to the bar - everyone was so amazing, efficient, friendly and kind; we couldn't have asked for a better day! We were so well taken care of that I wish we could've spent longer together! There were plenty of caterers to choose from on the list for the Lyman Estate, but Tastings was definitely the right one for all of the reasons above and SO MANY more!

Highly recommend Tastings!

Tastings Caterers is one of the preferred vendors for The Garden at Elm Bank, and after working with them, it’s easy to see why. They were one of the more affordable options we explored, and their glowing online reviews made choosing them a no-brainer. And let me just say—those reviews about guests raving about the food are absolutely true!

Creating our menu was such a fun and collaborative process. Tastings was incredibly flexible and open to incorporating personal touches, including Asian-inspired dishes like Vietnamese shrimp spring rolls and duck with hoisin sauce. They brought our vision to life in a way that felt both customized and polished.

Many of our guests are serious foodies, and we were flooded with compliments throughout the night. Honestly, the food might have been the true star of the day—not the flowers, not the décor, but the incredible cuisine. It made our celebration feel even more special and memorable.

Perfect Caterers!! Amazing experience!

Tastings just catered our wedding of 90 people at the Lyman Estate this past weekend and they did an incredible job! Communication was excellent and food was amazing. We had a few offbeat requests like sliders and grilled cheeses for appetizers and they were so kind to make that happen for us! They had a vast array of menu choices in every category that met any dietary need you could think of. Most importantly, everything was delicious! Especially their short ribs entree which was my favorite. The entire Tastings team was also wonderful on the day of the wedding! They set up the tables perfectly, were so kind to the guests while serving, and at the end of the night they helped us get everything we brought in cleaned up and packed away neatly in the blink of an eye after the reception was over. So glad we went with Tastings for our wedding! Highly recommend to anyone planning an event that needs a caterer, especially a wedding!!

LOVED working with Tastings

Tastings was FANTASTIC to work with throughout the whole wedding planning process. They came highly recommended by our venue (the Lyman Estate). From our first conversation, they were friendly & understanding; their first quote gave us a transparent breakdown of a potential menu & costs, as well as several options for where we could save more if needed. My fiance & I didn’t quite know where to start for the menu, but Sue took our vague ideas and spun out a fantastic menu – a fall-harvest themed (entirely vegetarian!) dinner for our October wedding, with beets, butternut squash ravioli, gnocchi, mashed potatoes, and autumnal signature cocktails too. Our guests are still raving about the food!

The day of the wedding was fantastic – Sue & Eileen worked seamlessly with our venue to transition from the ceremony to cocktail hour to dinner to cake cutting to dancing, all while making sure my fiance & I had food & drink the whole time. We’re so grateful to Sue, Eileen & the whole Tastings staff for everything they did to make our wedding day so special & fun.

September 2024, formal backyard wedding 200 guests

Tastings was one of the very best decisions we made for our wedding day. We had a large backyard wedding that was turned into a very formal event space. the guests were completely blown away by the food. Sue and the tastings crew went above and beyond to make our day a special one. From when we first met sue almost 2 years before the wedding date, she remembered us at every tasting we went to. The final tasting she made sure to have menu items we knew we wanted at our wedding but hadn't tried yet.
Their recommendations, and selection of linens was truly impressive and made the day so gorgeous. Sue was also so responsive and amendable to changes up until the final hour of planning. The week of the wedding the Tastings crew came out to our space (for the second site visit) to go over the set up and flow of the day.

In terms of food, it was absolutely delicious. The passed appetizers were spectacular, but the carving station as part of the main course was what stole the show. Multiple of our guests told us that it was the best food they ever had, let alone food at a wedding. It was truly incredible.
At the cocktail hour they set up a gorgeous charcuterie board that was especially delicious.
But my personal favorite was the French almond wedding cake, it was to die for!!

Sue and the tastings gang truly went above and beyond to make our day perfect. It was some of the best food we have ever eaten, and our guests are still talking about it today. 10000000/10 recommend!!!

Great experience!

We had Tastings cater our wedding at the Lyman Estate. We lucked out with the timing, we were able to go to a group tasting before signing the contract, but truthfully if you don't manage to go to a tasting beforehand signing the contract, you can trust that Tastings will delivery great service and food. They are definitely very experienced with setting up and executing at Lyman, we didn't worry about a thing. Most importantly though, the food was delicious! We did a buffet set up with 3 entrees and a couple of sides. We even got a bit of leftovers to take home which was awesome.

Guests loved the food

The food was all delicious, especially for the price. Our guests kept complimenting the dishes and asking who we had do our catering! We loved that they use local foods where possible and they were very flexible with menu ideas. THANK YOU to Eileen, Sue and their entire staff for helping make our wedding at Elm Bank so very special! I appreciated Tastings' flexibility and thoughtfulness during the planning process to help meet our and our guests' needs, execute our vision for our Vietnamese tea ceremony, set up of all the spaces beautifully, accommodate all the food allergies and specifications, and generally bringing positive, kind and friendly vibes during the entire process!

Unlike other catering companies I considered, Tastings was very quick to respond - and very transparent - about their menu options and pricing when I initially reached out for a quote. This made it easy for us to choose them as our caterers early in our planning process, as we knew that choosing the right caterers would be one of the most important decisions we'd make. Tastings was able to put together an entire gluten free menu for us and allowed us lots of flexibility in terms of how we wanted to do dessert (which is always a challenge with gluten and dairy allergies among our guests). Tastings was also very willing to make signature cocktails that I designed instead of limiting us to specific options. I never felt like Tastings tried to upsell and were very patient and flexible in terms of meeting both our vision and budget.

I really enjoyed working with Eileen and the entire Tastings team and would definitely recommend them to other engaged couples who want a high quality and personalized catering experience! The staff was so kind, patient and efficient on the day of - they have worked our venue before so I knew I could enjoy our wedding without any stress, knowing Tastings would take care of everything seamlessly (and they did!). Guests declared "best wedding food"

This review is being written by the mother of the bride with collaboration from the bride and groom. Working with Tastings was a wonderful experience for us all. The quality and breadth of choices were terrific, as were the Tastings opportunities. Staff were responsive, patient, helpful, responsive and encouraging. All the items selected were a hit, special shout out to the passed appetizers and the short rib. Bar service was wonderful, really all staff were professional, courteous and kind. Food and bar presentation was excellent as well. We did not use a party planner so all of the communication was among the couple, myself and either Sue or Eileen. The walk through was so very helpful and we relied on their knowledge and experience. Down to the packing up of leftovers from the buffet, all was superb. Don't hesitate to use this caterer!

The BEST Wedding Food!

Best caterer hands down!! Sue and Eileen were great to work with and answered several questions over the course of many months. What made them stand out compared to other caterers was not only the quality of the food they cooked and served but all the extras they threw in. They worked with us on our budget, let us borrow centerpieces for the reception, made the best French almond cream cake from scratch AND served fresh chocolate chip cookies to our guests. They even went above and beyond and packaged all left overs for us to enjoy after our big day. Everyone raved about the beef short ribs and haddock. We were told by several guests that we had the best wedding food, which in my opinion is true! Tastings was also our bartender, which made keeping track of wedding vendors easier and costs down. Overall we are thrilled to have worked with Tastings and plan to use them again for other celebrations. If you’re still on the fence after reading this, go to one of their sampling dinners to try their food!

Absolutely the BEST experience!

Mother of the bride here...I cannot recommend Tasting Caterers enough! They were amazing through the entire process and responsive to every email I sent. They were great about my last minute linen changes and graciously managed 32 pints of custard and 500 homemade cookies that came from Wisconsin! The food was fabulous and our guests loved the meals. Their staff that managed the event were kind and professional and they did a wonderful job setting up the venue (tables, centerpieces, welcome sign, memory table..). The cake was delicious and they even made a small cake for the bride and groom to take home. We can't thank them enough for helping make the day magical!

What if I told you I’m a die-hard fan of a catering company? I’m TELLING you - you NEED to book them for your wedding!! Where do I even begin? We reached out to Tastings after our venue recommended them. From the beginning they were easy to reach and made everything SO easy. My husband and I live out of state and couldn’t make it to a group tasting, so they invited us to a private one a few months later - at their house. WHAT?

Sue (logistics goddess) and John (master chef) are the epitome of family business. They exceeded expectations and really made us feel special on our wedding day. It wasn’t easy planning a wedding remotely, but Tastings made it happen and made it as easy on us as possible. The whole team was professional and super nice.

We did our full menu with them, including cocktail hour and dinner, plus some desserts (although they do make delicious cakes!). They also provided bartenders, facilitated linen rentals, did setup and cleanup, and even brought some decorations in case we wanted to use them (we did, they were beautiful).

They are priced very reasonably, especially compared to some “wedding packages.” And (maybe most importantly), everything was absolutely delicious. Like, we added an extra course because of their ravioli. It’s that good. At the end of our wedding journey, we feel like we actually got to know the Zahners and their adult children who are also part of the team. I cannot recommend them highly enough!!!!

Best catering team ever!

Sue and Eileen were the first vendor we hired, and they did not disappoint. They are professional, responsive, flexible, helpful, and kind. The food was also DELICOUS - we got compliments all night long from our guests. HIRE THEM you will not regret it!

Amazing Caterer and Staff

My wife and I chose Tastings as our caterer and it was definitely the right choice. From the beginning of our planning a year out, Tastings worked with us to select and fine tune our menu. They offer various group tastings events prior to your event so you can sample many of the food, drink, and desert items. Their selection of options is pretty fast and they can even customize the menu upon request. On top of that, Tastings does a significant amount of the setup on the day of the wedding and they really helped capture the vision and turn it into beautiful reality. The food taste itself was excellent, the signature drinks even better than our own trials, and above all impeccable service on the day of our event. Amanda even took some additional pictures of us and sent them to us afterwards. Amazing experience and would definitely recommend!

Cannot recommend highly enough

I cannot recommend Tastings highly enough - they were incredible and went above and beyond our expectations.

Food: we were blown away by the selection of entrees and appetizers, all of which were incredible. The group tasting experience was a highlight - Tastings made the effort to seat couples from the same venue near each other and facilitated a lot of shared advice. I have been to ~20 weddings over the past two years and think this was the best food I have had (echoed by many guests)

Experience: Sue and Eileen are incredibly organized and responsive and made it easy to put everything from schedule to decor in their hands. They have years of experience and very professional staff

Value: Tastings was far and away the best food we have had (including from high budget, $200K+ weddings) but was priced extremely reasonably for a full-service, high-quality meal, especially relative to other popular Boston-area caterers

Lovely people, amazing food

We loved working with Tastings. They go above and beyond what a typical catering company provides. Prior to the wedding, we even had a private tasting at the owners' home. It was one of the coldest nights of the year, back in February, and the atmosphere was so warm and inviting. We had a wonderful time. They created a fantastic vegetarian menu for our wedding and our guests were raving about, even if the carnivores. Their curry mushroom strudel is one of the best things I've ever eaten. They even provided our cake and other desserts and did such a beautiful job decorating our cutting cake with absolutely no feedback from us (we really were not very concerned with that aspect of things) and oh my gosh was it amazingly good. A strawberry cream cake that our guests could not stop raving about. Our guests were apparently were encouraging each other in line to get extra pieces because of how good it was. Amazingly, they were also affordable. Our day of coordinator told us that they were one of the best catering teams she has ever worked with. We got so lucky with this catering company and we would highly recommend them to anyone. We're already discussing how to have a party large enough to justify hiring a caterer because we would love to work with them again.

The best part of our wedding

Fantastic services from the beginning to the end. Their quotes were very reasonable throughout the process, they were always helpful and flexible in every way, and above all, their food was phenomenal! All of our guests commented on how amazing the food was at our wedding. We never ever regret choosing Tastings Caterers for our big day. Fabulous Food, Incredible Service

Tastings made our wedding at the Charles River Museum in Waltham MA come to life!! We had a great time and so many of our guests kept saying how delicious the food was and how smoothly things were run - Tastings also managed most of the decorations (including those we provided) and incorporated some of our favorite foods, drinks, and mocktails.

Sue & Eileen are a pleasure to work with, very responsive, and easy to get along with. They also were very kind working with us so we could provide our own drinks and cake and even a few other desserts that they incorporated into their other catered food and displayed beautifully! Lastly, Tastings was so helpful with all the help with cleanup, it was a huge help to our family.

The whole event was a great success, thank you Tastings for helping us celebrate this important moment in our lives!

We spent about $14,000 (including a tip), and had plated meals, 5 or so stationary hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour, and provided our own mocktail bar ingredients and dessert. I think it was a little pricier to do a charcuterie set-up, but it was totally worth it!

Reasonably priced catering that guests raved about

We went to sample tastings for a few caterers and chose Tastings because they were the best at working with dietary restrictions: my husband has celiac, and we wanted a fully gluten-free meal. The fact that Tastings was so clear in labeling allergens at their tasting events made us confident they were the right caterer for us. Their prices are on the lower end for full-service caterers, which initially made us wonder if they'd be lower quality, but it turns out they're just affordable. All of the food was absolutely delicious, and our friends and family still talk about how great the short rib was regularly. The service they provided was also great. I especially appreciated that one of the owners brought a plate of appetizers out to my husband and me when we were doing our pictures after the ceremony so that we didn't miss out. All in all, I'd use Tastings over again and will be going to them if I ever need caterers again.

We had heard such amazing things about Tastings that we changed our wedding date to line up with their availability. We’re so glad we made that decision – we were blown away by their expertise and incredible food! From our private tasting to the collaboration on our menu, Sue and Eileen were such professionals. Tastings was truly phenomenal in every way. My husband and I are so glad we chose Sue and her team to cater our wedding! We initially went to a tasting and were blown away just by our first passed app haha. Our guests said the same thing… months later they are STILL talking about how it was the best wedding food they ever had. The short ribs are a MUST and the lemon raspberry elderflower cake was unreal. The menu really felt like “us” and they were able to make it so affordable which was a huge help. Sue and her team were so much fun to work with and always professional- truly felt like family by the end of the whole experience. We are so thankful for them and will remember how perfect they made our night for years to come. Thank you guys!!!

So much more than a caterer!

Wow, Tastings knocked it out of the park. From the first tasting we did with them, to one of the owners having us over to her home to talk details through to answering every single question I had, Tastings gave us the confidence that our food and bar service was going to be on point!
The food was delicious! They have a variety to choose from and everything is very good! They offer bar service (alcohol not included) with awesome bar staff! They even allow you to borrow their décor! this in itself saved us 100s!!!! The catering manager works as a low key coordinator as well and helped set up all my DIY decor as well as pack everything up for us! They are so professional and genuinely NICE people. they've also been in this industry for decades and know how to run a tight and efficient ship. I highly recommend them!

Absolute perfection from beginning to end

Our experience with Tastings was perfect from beginning to end. My partner and I had so much fun at one of Tasting’s “tasting” events that we decided to go to another after booking them for our wedding—a truly unique, fun and festive way to research our wedding food! Then, Sue and Eileen were incredibly responsive throughout the planning process, and helped us to design our absolute ideal menu (with plenty of vegetarian, gluten free, and nut free options for our guests with different dietary preferences). Food was one of our very top priorities and we could not have been happier with our dinner—truly one to remember. Throughout our wedding reception, not only did everyone comment on how incredible the food was, but also how lovely the service was. One guest even thought we had our extended family cater the event because they were so polite, friendly, and genuinely enjoying themselves. 11 out of 10 stars.

Start to finish, a wonderful experience

From the very start, Tastings was nothing but a pleasure. Of all the vendors we got quotes from, they were the most affordable AND the only ones who had an opportunity for us to taste the food before committing to them and putting money down. They put on regular events at which you can try their food, drinks, and see their decor. This, combined with one phone call with Sue, made us sure Tastings was right for us.

Throughout the process, everyone at Tastings was accommodating, responsive, and helpful. They took care of so many details and set my mind at ease. They brought TONS of additional decor for the bar and food areas that looked beautiful and matched our decor. They went around *during* the wedding asking about food restrictions and made custom dishes on the spot for some of our guests. Most importantly, the food was DELICIOUS. Friends still talk about it weeks later. I can't recommend Tastings highly enough, both in terms of the food and the service. They were one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. You Cannot Go Wrong with Tastings

Thank you to Tastings for making everything run so smoothly on our wedding day, and for being so wonderful to work with. Great food, service, and value - highly recommended!

My husband and I worked with Tastings to cater our June wedding at Eustis Estate in Milton and we highly recommend them! They were incredibly helpful and accommodating during the planning process and their private and group tastings were a great way to sample lots of different dishes to get a sense of what we liked. It was amazing that they let us use some of their dinnerware, linens, and games at no extra cost to us whereas many of the other caterers we spoke with early on charged a huge premium for those items. As a family owned operation, we felt that their service was more personal and we appreciated the special touches, like getting sent home with a cake after our first tasting with them. Our wedding guests shared tons of compliments about the delicious meal and desserts and the friendly and professional service. We would absolutely choose Tastings again for future catering needs and we’re grateful that we found them!

June 2022 plated dinner

Tastings catered our plated, summer dinner, with wedding cake, in June 2022. We appreciated their flexibility as our plans evolved, and the menu changed numerous times. We were also grateful for the chance to taste so many of their dishes (helped us land on short ribs!!). Compared to some other caterers we met with, Tastings was also much more efficient & economical in their day-of operations -- making use of the available kitchen without needing to erect a separate cooking facilities. We received many compliments on the food, and are still enjoying leftover wedding cake from our freezer! I think the only thing we would do differently is adapt the dinner schedule, as we had some long pauses, but we also had a number of last minute guest/seating chart changes due to COVID, so I expect that slowed some things down. Would recommend and would book again!

The best caterers you could hope for!

We were blown away by the catering Tastings provided. Not only was the food EXCELLENT - we were told by many guests they’ve never had such delicious food at a wedding - but the service was so warm, professional, kind hearted. The value is unreal - we would have paid the highest prices for this kind of experience so the fact that they are SO reasonable is just the cherry on top of the Sundae. So happy with Tastings!!!

If you are considering Tastings, you should absolutely go for it!! They played a huge part in making my wedding day so amazing. First of all, they were so patient and flexible through the last 3 years while we dealt with 2 pandemic postponements and multiple changes to our guest list size. They were incredibly professional and open - helping make suggestions to ensure we could have a delicious dinner that was still within our budget. If we had been undecided, trying their food at our tasting would have absolutely sealed the deal. We left knowing we had to have their amazing short rib at our wedding.

My mother and brother both have celiac disease, and the Tastings team went above and beyond to make them feel safe and have plenty of delicious gluten-free options.

Their bartenders fully embraced our kooky signature drinks and practiced them ahead of time to make sure they would be delicious (they were!)

So many people commented on how delicious the food was. In my biased opinion, it was the best food I have had at a wedding. We served the short rib, chicken au jus, and mushroom and leek strudel. All were delicious.

Their staff were so nice and Sue and Eileen are truly lovely human beings who really care about what they do. I could go on and on, but the short version is that I am so happy that we had Tastings cater our wedding. It was perfect.

Delicious feed and amazing service!

We hired Tastings for my daughter's wedding at the Endicott Estate and we were thrilled with the food and service the day of the wedding! We received a lot of positive feedback from our guests on the food (braised short ribs, herb chicken, gnocchi, vegetable medley, mashed potatoes and salad). The desserts were also amazing and the passed warm cookies were a huge hit with everyone! The staff were all very friendly and attentive during the wedding. They were able to break down tables very quickly to allow more room for dancing. Overall, the tastings staff was very flexible and went above and beyond to make sure the wedding went smoothly!

Excellent food and plenty of it!

We had a great experience from start to finish with Tastings. This included a pandemic friendly tasting back in the early days of the pandemic, being very accommodating when we ultimately needed to postpone, and being able to serve up all of our requests. Great company to work with

We had an incredible wedding! Thanks to Tastings. The food was delicious and the service spot on. They took care of us before, during and even after our wedding ( Sue sent us home with the best apple cake)
We were lucky to find them and they were on over 6 preferred list at the venues we looked at but we ended up with a tent wedding at our relatives house; this took even more planning to make our visions come to light.
Matt is amazing - he was our event manager and also set up the most beautiful buffet, bars, appetizer table, dessert table.
They let us borrow decor items too and this saved us tons of money.
We will be forever thankful to have them in our memories. What a great company to work with!

I’d give Tastings 6 stars if I could! Delicious food & excellent service!

We are so grateful to Eileen, Sue, and the rest of the Tastings team for making our big day so special! First of all (and most importantly), ALL of the food was incredible. We loved that we could attend two tasting events beforehand not only to see the food but to see the staff in action. The dishes were unique, and our guests raved about how great the food was - a few said it was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding - and they even sent us home with leftovers to enjoy for weeks to come! A few of our favorites included the slow-cooked short ribs, butternut squash ravioli, meat balls on pretzel sticks, marbled mashed and sweet potatoes, lobster Mac & cheese ;) Tastings even did our party favors: bourbon and bacon popcorn bags, which were a hit. The drinks - including a fall sangria signature cocktail - were incredible! Really, there wasn’t a single dish that they didn’t knock it out of the park on!

Beyond that, Sue and Eileen were an absolute pleasure to work with. Our wedding was originally scheduled for September 2020, and early in 2020, we had to push it back to October 2021. Throughout what turned out to be nearly 2 years of planning, Sue and Eileen were incredibly flexible, professional, gracious and service-oriented - and just plain fun to work with. They also had many creative ideas to help us plan a meal that was not only delicious, but also conscious of our budget, and even let us borrow many of their beautiful decorations to help us keep our cost down. The week of, they were incredibly responsive as we dealt with last-minute cancellations or meal changes, and I felt completely confident knowing everything would go smoothly on the day.

Lastly, the day-of service was wonderful. The staff was professional and made sure to take care of us, the decorations were stunning, and everything went off without a hitch.

Between the incredible food, the excellent service, and the very reasonable price, I cannot recommend Tastings enough. Thank you to the whole team for being such an important part of our special day!

My personal favorites were everything, but especially the pimento cheese dip, the Texas caviar, the mac and cheese spoons, the haddock, the butternut squash ravioli, the bananas foster bread pudding, and oh my god, the chocolate chip shortbread cookies. I could talk about the food for days, it was that good. (And they are not sending me a batch of the cookies to get me to say all this! But that would certainly be welcome :) )

Plus, I could tell that Tastings cared about me. They made sure I got leftovers, and even prepared a special bread pudding for us to take home. They were super attentive, kind, and the costs were extremely reasonable and fair. I cannot say enough. You just need to hire this caterer!

Tasty food and amazing staff!

If you are looking for great food and great service than Tastings is amazing! The options they provide are so different from old school wedding dinners and they work closey with you to make sure the menu and serving style is exactly what you want! They were so good at "catering" to our specific requests and they had so many great options in regards to dietary needs. They also did an amazing job setting up the venue and making everything so beautiful! They are super talented and made sure everything was smooth and easy for us the entire evening! Spectacular food and service for a great price

Tastings offered both fabulous food and service at a very reasonable price. Having quality food was very important to my husband and me since we both love to eat and the food is such a large part of the guest experience. Multiple guests complimented the quality and quantity of the food (get the Artichoke Parmesan dip!). Guests didn't have to wait for their meals, and Tastings made sure that my husband and I were able to eat as well even though we were so busy taking photos and talking to guests. Tastings also did an awesome job with decorating and set-up at the venue, which allowed me to relax and focus on celebrating with my family and friends. I had so much confidence in them because I had seen how professional and attentive they were to detail at the group tastings and my bridal shower.
In hindsight, I may value their service the most because anything that makes you less stressed leading up to your big day is worth it! I highly recommend Tastings Caterers and will use them again for future events.

Tastings is phenomenal!

We had an AMAZING experience with Tastings Catering. Sue the owner, Mat our banquet manager, and all of the rest of their staff were friendly, kind, attentive, and went above and beyond for our micro-wedding 2 months ago. Since we had a small COVID wedding, food was the main focal point of the affair, and Sue was able to take the difficult guidelines we gave her (a menu that celebrated our mixed Chinese/Haitian/Dominican backgrounds and had a homey/down to earth feel) and came up with an outstanding menu to fit this perfectly. She was understanding and sensitive about adjusting the menu to fit our budget, and she kindly gave us a very thorough tasting and made adjustments based on our feedback. She also offered to let us borrow numerous candles and decorations free of charge, which saved us an enormous amount of money and waste, which was ideal for us since we were trying to be as sustainable as possible. The day of our wedding, the Tastings staff did an impeccable job of setting up everything like we planned, the decorations they provided were gorgeous, everything was done exactly as planned and on time, and the food was absolutely delicious. The staff was very thoughtful about making sure that my husband and I were fed. They made sure to set aside food for us during the cocktail hour, which we mostly missed due to photography time. We received a lot of compliments on the food from our guests: my Haitian father-in-law was impressed by the Haitian meatballs, which is NOT something most American catering companies can easily do, and the jerk chicken was rated as "authentic" by our Caribbean guests.

Months later, I still have dreams about the gorgeous and tasty holiday-themed cookies Sue baked for us: my husband has promised me that we will buy cookies from Tastings again the next time we are in Massachusetts again. In short, we can't recommend Tastings enough for your wedding celebration: they were a key part of making our wedding a success. We hope to use them again for a larger anniversary party, whenever the pandemic is over.

The Best Caterers!

We have been using Tastings since 1996, when my husband and I got married. They have done numerous events for us, for our children and for our friends. I can't say enough good things about them. Sue is wonderful to work with, very laid back and helps make a stressful event easier, and she is a fabulous baker. John cooks the most amazing food. Matt and Amanda are doing more of the setup these days, and having learned from the best, they are fantastic as well. If you are going to have an event, USE THEM. You won't be disappointed!

Fantastic, delightful, professional and above all tasty!

We cannot recommend Tastings enough, our wedding was an absolutely delightful blur and people continue to sing the praises of our menu. Tastings was great at identifying ways to stay under budget (like stocking the bar from Costco), proactively adjusting menus to accommodate budget reductions and turning over the space like magic. Truly excellent vendor.
Pro Tips:
Come up with a budget well in advance and try to lock in your guest list as early as possible.
Go to their multiple Tastings in the run up to your wedding and bring a pair of your most opinionated guests, nothing helps pick a menu like eating the actual food.
At the tasting, take a moment to make your table settings selections it's a huge timesaver and will help budget.

Our dream wedding food!

Tastings did an amazing job catering our September wedding. From our first meeting with Sue, we knew we were in good hands. We had a pretty specific vision in mind and a budget, and Sue worked with us to make our vision a reality! We wanted to have food stations rather than a sit down dinner or buffet. We ended up going with a taco bar, Mediterranean station, and cheese and charcuterie station. Everything was SO delicious and our guests were raving. But the best part of tastings? The desserts!!!! They served a variety of small desserts that were out of this world. Sue even surprised us with a cake!! The servers and bartenders were all so helpful and professional, and they did a great job executing our signature cocktails. Highly recommend tastings for your event. They are the best in town!

This is the Caterer You Want!!!

Tastings catered my 100 guest wedding at the Lyman Estate. I could say many amazing things about them, but let's go with pricing, customization, and staffing as the top 3.

We taste tested at a few caterers in the area. Some were just as tasty, but none gave you as much for your money as Tastings did. We were able to afford stationary appetizers (delicious dips and skewers), passed appetizers (fun, unique selections), dinner with several entree choices (I heard about the beef short ribs over and over and over...) and a whole mess of desserts (Sue's cakes are heaven!!) for the price of just a couple entrees and a few apps at other places.

If you are skeptical, no problem. Get yourself to one of their group tastings. They more or less hold test run weddings where you can experience what they have to offer in the exact way they will serve at your wedding. My husband and I had SO much fun attending two of these, picking everything from our linens, silverware, cakes, apps, bar snacks, and even socializing with other couples getting married at our venues. We knew we had to book them and got so excited about choosing our menu.

Sue Z. is the real deal. She loves food and will pretty much let you customize your menu however you want!! She made so many wonderful suggestions for ours based on what she knew about us. Her passion for her business is clear. I chatted with her staff at the events and they really love working for her. It feels like they are all a family who love what they do. Speaking of staff, Eileen and Marieke are a joy as well. Corresponding over e-mail and in person was so pleasant. The staff that ran the event were great as well. I got a lot of good feedback from my guests. The bartenders took such great care of everyone.

I'm so happy with the meal my guests enjoyed at our wedding. It seems funny to say, but working with Tastings was FUN. I highly recommend checking them out.

Excellent!

Tastings was an excellent catering choice for my wedding. Sue, Eileen, and Marieke were easy to work with and provided lots of great options that fit within our budget without feeling like we were cutting corners anywhere. They were extremely flexible, too - while their menu is already extensive, they easily added specific requests. The food we had at our wedding very closely matched our tasting, too, which can be difficult for some items given the larger scale. A wedding guest was just telling me (a month later) that they went for seconds and thirds on appetizers because they liked it so much. Besides the food, which is certainly important, one of the big reasons we chose Tastings is their ability to provide china, flatware, napkins, and table linens from their own stock (which looked great, too!). I'm fine with spending money where it has impact, but renting these items would have added a ton of cost that no one would have noticed, and we would rather spend it on great food. A great choice overall, and we would make the same decision again!

Fantastic!

Tastings was great! They were able to accommodate our requests, and made everything so easy on day-of. I felt like I was running around with my hair on fire, but they were able to take over all the tasks i couldn't handle. I also never felt like I was up-charged for anything, and they even helped me finish assembling my cake (silly bride who made her cake... never again). Amazing vegan wedding

Tastings put on such an amazing vegan wedding for us last week. Simply the Best!

Hiring Tastings was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Their food tastes amazing and their service is phenomenal! They really got our vision, and worked with us to make it a reality. When our venue threw us a few curveballs, their team was super responsive to us (less than 2 weeks before the wedding) to make the necessary changes and help bail us out of a sticky situation. Eileen, Sue, Amanda, and the whole team are a dream to work with. They have so many weddings going on (we got married in the summer), yet they knew my name every time I called and got every detail of our wedding down perfectly. The day of our wedding, they went above and beyond, working with our other vendors, the venue, and us seamlessly. I truly have no idea if something went wrong, because they make it seamless and perfect. We also had Sue make our cake, and our guests are still talking about it months later (and her blueberry crisp, which we had as a vegan/gluten free dessert option - I still have dreams about it). There is no better way to say it, Tastings Caterers just gets it! They deliver high quality food with exceptional service, and reasonable costs. They are a family owned business and it really shows! They truly care about their clients and make sure they are happy with their service. They guided us the whole year leading up to our wedding, from food selections, to linens, and décor. I cannot say enough amazing things about Tastings!

I spoke with many caterers before I finally found them and am so glad I did, they made our wedding truly perfect. They are a family business and it felt like they put as much care and thought into our wedding as someone would for a family member. From our meetings with Sue, to detailed and responsive emails with Eileen and Marieke and finally our amazing event manager Matt, it was such a pleasure to work with this team. They are a full operation (planning, set up, decoration, cooking, serving, bartending, clean up) and added in so many details to our wedding that the day-of everything looked even better than I could have imagined! They were always so positive and fun, I felt like any idea we had, they were super excited to help make it happen! And then of course the food...our guests kept raving about how great it was. They have so many items to choose from and even from those many options, you can still modify to make things exactly fit your taste. The BEST wedding caterer - book them now!

Do you want a reasonably priced and completely comprehensive wedding catering option, that will leave your guests raving about the food weeks later? Then book Tastings right now - no joke! Sue and her team are not only lovely people to work with, but consummate professionals, who make incredible food and will make your wedding day absolutely perfect. Marieke, our event manager, was incredibly responsive via email in the months and weeks leading up to our big day, and they had no problem coordinating all the little details I threw at them. The bar and event staff were wonderful, and I genuinely cannot say enough amazing things about the food. Go to one of their tasting events and you’ll see what I mean! I believe they are $50, and you get an hour of all of the stationed and passed apps that they offer, and then an hour+ of seated dinner with 5 buffet stations offering almost, if not all, of the entrees and side dishes they can make for you! AND an open bar. AND the biggest dessert buffet I’ve ever seen in my life (outside of Vegas). AND you get take home containers! I might actually do another one of their tasting events in the future even though I’m already married - if there’s room of course. They’re that good! I cannot recommend this catering company highly enough. You will not be disappointed.

Personalized value for a wonderful day!

Finding Sue, Eileen, Marieke, and the Tastings team was such a win for us, because we truly had no idea how key a role the caterer plans in rolling out the entire wedding day. A family-run business, you can truly feel the love and care each time you interact with the team. We found Tastings to be the best value in the area after discussion with other local caterers.

Our guests are still raving about the food - from appetizers, to entrees, to desserts, your menu with Tastings is totally custom and there is no limit to what they will try! The group tastings they host are super valuable to help narrowing down menu choices and they are more than willing to try out new ideas that you have.

Tastings also allows you to use inventory they already own from china to flatware to decorations, which helped immensely in keeping our wedding affordable. They help with the ordering process of other items needed (e.g. linens), and take full responsibility for setting up all decorations, tables, etc. on the actual day. Their staff was a joy to interact with on our wedding day.

Special shout out to Eileen for working with me so closely leading up to the event and providing me comfort during the stressful times that it'll all be perfect. I didn't have to think of a thing, and the cocktail hour/reception was executed perfectly. What a dream!

I highly recommend Tastings Caterers!!! We worked mostly with Sue and Marieke, and they were awesome! They worked with us to figure out all the details from the menu to table settings and so much more. They had such a wonderful selection of menu items- it was so hard to choose. For our tasting, we went to an event they held, which was beautiful and really showcased how talented they are. Our wedding food was incredible- I had so many friends come up to me after to rave about it. They made sure to ask in advance about any special requests (allergies, special meals, etc), and they executed it flawlessly. Not only was the food great and the venue beautifully decorated, they worked with our DJ to make the reception move flawlessly. They coordinated everything and made our wedding day so wonderful!!!

Oh my goodness. Where do we start with Tastings? Eileen and Sue were perfect vendors from beginning to end. In addition to food and cake, Tastings also worked with us for our flatware, silverware, tables, chairs, and linens. Honestly, to have that burden taken off of us was well worth hiring them just for that! But the food is really where the difference was made. They made sure that WE got what WE wanted in our food, and then it came to life and our guests gushed about the food the whole time. My favorite foods were the mini grilled cheese and tomato soup shooters. I told Sue and Eileen that I've always loved tomato soup and grilled cheese, and they elevated it and made it one of a kind for us.

Leigh's favorite is a toss-up between chicken and waffles or the empanadas. Holy cow, can these guys cook! Not to mention the cake. Sue bakes like she was born to do it. We had two different flavors of cake (one on each tier), and they made us a third tier in a kahlua mudslide flavor just for us! We can't wait to crack it open on our anniversary.

All in all, I cannot think of a single thing that I didn't love about having Tastings cater our wedding. We looked through a LOT of vendors, and this was perfect. SO much stress off our shoulders, and food we'll remember for a lifetime.

I wish every event I attended would be catered by Tastings. They are AMAZING. My venue had a list of caterers that I had to select from, and when I mentioned my budget concerns to the coordinator there, she recommended Tastings. After meeting with Sue at her house, it was clear that she was the right choice. She could make it work with our budget, and was very open to working with us to find and implement our vision for our wedding day.

Their groups tastings are so great because you get to 1) try so many menu options, 2) experience how the staff works running an event, 3) see a variety of linen and decor samples, and 4) take home leftovers. After attending a few tastings, Sue and Marieke made it easy to make our linen and dish selections, and finalize our menu (including our signature cocktails). The only problem I had was that everything was so delicious that it was hard to choose our menu! We had a Friday afternoon reception with heavy hors d'oeuvres and a dessert buffet, which afforded us a lot of variety, but even so it was difficult to narrow down our selections.

On our actual wedding day, Tastings went above and beyond my expectations. Not only was the food amazing, but the table arrangements and decor were better than I’d pictured in my head. I had provided a few props and signs for the bar and food stations, but they took our theme and ran with it to perfection. Matt and Marieke were fabulous, as was the rest of the staff. I couldn’t have asked for a better day, and Tastings was a huge part of that. I would definitely hire them again for any event, and I recommend them to anyone looking for great food and great service!

We are so glad that we chose Tastings to cater our wedding. Not only were they affordable (nearly half as much as some other quotes we received for the same menu and services!), but their food was truly delicious and they went above and beyond in terms of service the day of the event. They took care of everything, including the cake and the decor—some of which we borrowed from their holdings—and they also made and wrapped some late night snacks which we gave away as favors. Our event manager was Marieke, she was a joy to work with!

Tastings catered for our Wedding of around 110 guests - food was lovely, service was really quick on the day and they were accommodating of everybody's dietary requirements. Pleasure to work with, would recommend to anybody.

The team is always amazing! We had planned a large outdoor event but rain made the party move indoors. Tastings just made it all work and none of the guests missed the open space outside. And the food is always the highlight of the party!

Tastings was absolutely fantastic! I could not have asked for a better experience both from a customer service standpoint and the quality of the food. I am an industry professional and work with a lot of different caterers. I chose Tastings based on their down-to-earth style and quality of food. My husband and I decided to get married fairly quickly (yes, we planned a wedding in 3 weeks). I put in the request to Sue and she accommodated our needs immediately. Since, I work in the industry, I wanted our wedding to be a little different. It was going to be small and intimate but I wanted the experience for our guests to be truly memorable. My vision was specific and Sue understood what look and feel I was going for right away.

Fast forward to the day of and everything was executed perfectly! Eileen, Matt, and the team were there to insure my vision was executed. They did not miss one detail and the food.....oh my, it was amazing! My guests could not get over how good the food was. My guests were saying "this is the best food, not just wedding food, I have ever had." My husband, brother, and father talked about the short-ribs for days after the wedding. My wedding guests couldn't get over how much variety there was and raved about every single bit of food they tasted.

We opted for stations for our wedding due to the fact that it was a smaller crowd (60ppl) and with it being planned in 3 weeks. I did not want a plated meal and as stated previously just wanted something a little different. Sue and her team went above and beyond and I truly cannot thank them enough.

Being in the industry I have very high standards and every standard I had was met or exceeded thanks to Tastings!

My experience with Tastings was absolutely seamless! From the very first interaction, to the last, I knew I could count on and trust Tastings and their team to deliver an amazing event for my now husband and I. Eileen was prompt in all of her responses and answers to my questions, Sue made everything so special and personal- I always felt like we were the most important thing and Matt did a tremendous job creating a beautiful setting for our big day. The food was absolutely raved about all night and the quality for the price was unbeatable. We are so happy we chose Tastings for our November wedding!

Sue, Eileen, and the entire Tastings Caterers crew are AMAZING!!! I cannot express my gratitude enough! From the beginning of the planning process, Sue and Eileen were such an amazing help and a joy to work with. We got married at the Charles River Museum of Industry and Innovation and Tastings was on the list of preferred caterers. After reaching out to almost every other caterer on the list, I was beginning to become a little discouraged and then I had a conversation with Sue. She immediately put my mind at ease! She assured me she would be able to work within our budget, our dietary restrictions (my husband is a vegan), and come up with some creative items for our menu. She did all that and more!

My husband and I attended two group tastings and had multiple meetings with Sue at her house. She spent time with us to talk through our ideas, and wanted to really understand the vision we had for our wedding. Her team helped out so much with logistics and other details during the planning process. They walked through the venue with us and even gave us advice on set-up, all while helping us stick to our budget. I felt like we had much more than a caterer!

The team spent extra care on the vegan options for my husband! There were so many things for him on the menu and even our guests who are not vegan enjoyed the food. Almost three weeks later and my guests are still raving about the food!!

I cannot recommend Tastings Caterers enough! You are getting much more than a caterer when you hire this team. Sue and her team went above and beyond for us! We couldn’t have been happier!

Seriously unreal!!!! Made our wedding. They were so incredible to work with and I can't say enough good things. They truly understand how expensive a wedding can be with work with you to fit within your budget. Best part of our wedding! So many compliments!

I knew I would book Tastings for my wedding one day when i found myself stuffing their homemade chocolate chip cookies into my purse at my friends’ wedding two years ago....! Flash forward two years and we could not have had a better experience working with Tastings leading up to our own wedding this summer. Sue and Eileen were so helpful and accomodating throughout the planning process. The actual tasting is a Wedding101 for couples planning the event on their own like us. From the table decor to choosing amazing food for our guests to working with the team on the day-of set up and making our vision come to life, I am ao thankful we were able to work with such an awesome team for such a special day! The team at Tastings Caterers (including Sue, Eileen and Marieke) is absolutely wonderful and we couldn't be happier with our experience with them catering our wedding. The food was amazing (including everything we tried at the group tasting!) and we got so many compliments from our guests on how great the food was. Everything was run seamlessly- from the setup to cocktail hour, dinner to dessert, and cleanup. Even as we were planning the wedding from afar, they made the whole experience very easy- very responsive in setting up phone calls and meetings whenever needed. We also felt the pricing was very reasonable, especially given the excellent quality. So happy we chose Tastings for our wedding!

Sue and her team at Tastings went above and beyond from our first meeting to the actual reception. She had terrific suggestions on food and "extras," and the meals she prepared wowed our guests. In addition, her team did a super job with extra decorations on the appetizer table, and the cake and desserts were amazing. We are still hearing from wedding guests that the food was outstanding. Tastings Caterers did a fabulous job catering my wedding on August 5th, 2017. My guests still can’t stop talking about how good the food was! From the very beginning, Sue, Eileen, and Marieke have been a pleasure to work with. My husband and I are vegan/vegetarian, as were a few of our guests, so we wanted to make sure we had some options in addition to the non-vegan selection for the majority of our guests. The Tastings team put together the perfect menu that catered to everyone, including my husband’s nut allergy.

Though I provided the majority of the décor and props at the wedding, they set it all up in a way that I couldn’t have even imagined! They brought in some of their own décor, too, that tied in perfectly with the theme of the wedding and venue. Marieke was present during the whole event, and she made everything run smoothly.

Where do I begin? This catering company is truly top notch. We found them at the recommendation of the coordinator for our venue, and we couldn't have been happier. Sue is amazing to work with and clearly cares about her clients. They hold tastings at the Lyman Estate which actually made choosing the menu harder because we wanted EVERYTHING - their food and deserts are spectacular. Sue and Eileen were so helpful and accommodating in helping us create a menu and allowed us to use some of their decorations as well. Matt was the day-of coordinator and he was very friendly, professional and thorough. So many of our guests commented in the weeks to follow on how much they loved the food (I especially love their butternut squash ravioli). Our main concern was that we wanted everyone to be well fed, and to enjoy the food - mission accomplished, thanks to Tastings! They really were wonderful and we are grateful to have found them for our wedding.
