Going with Taste catering for our wedding was easily one of the best decisions we made! Katie was phenomenal and helped us so much with planning. They were super flexible and accommodating which made planning a breeze. We had a raw bar, passed appetizers and plated entrees. All the food was delicious and so many people came up to us and told us that it was the best wedding food they have ever had. The food came out quick and hot. We were really impressed by the servers as well. 100/100 would recommend them to anyone getting married in Delaware.

Katie O is absolutely amazing! From helping the groom to get tacos and charcuterie for cocktail hour, to handing every detail to make adjustments for a rainy day wedding, she was great! All while making the bride and groom and their families totally comfortable and at ease!! Katie O is the best!

The food was absolutely incredible — so many of our guests are still talking about how amazing everything tasted. From cocktail hour to dinner, every detail was executed perfectly and felt thoughtful, elevated, and delicious.
Hiring Katie as our day-of coordinator was an absolute must and one of the best decisions we made. Katie was beyond amazing — calm, organized, and completely on top of every detail. She made the entire day feel seamless and stress-free, allowing us to actually relax and enjoy our wedding. Any question, issue, or last-minute change was handled before we even knew it existed.

Katie and Tom did an excellent job catering our backyard wedding. Katie did all of the pre-event details, and Tom was there at our wedding to ensure that all went well. The food was delicious, not a single complaint from any of our guests. The food was plentiful, and the bartender did a great job keeping our guests hydrated! The staff was efficient and very friendly to our guests. Also they did a great job cleaning up! I would highly recommend using Taste Events!

Katie and her team made leading up to the big day, and our wedding day just seamless!
To begin, the food is top notch. If you’ve been to any of the Hooked restaurants you know they are proud of their ingredients and culinary expertise. In the catering realm, it was no different.
Katie was incredibly easy to work with, and allowed us to make our day our own. The servers, bartenders, and staff were all lovely!

Community Holiday Party
Katie and her team provided our community a delicious
meal with brisket, salmon and sides that were truly superb. Many people said it was the best brisket they’ve had in Delaware. They also had a wide variety of meats and cheeses beautifully presented as a charcuterie appetizer.

My husband and I got married at Seed and Sapling in September of 2024 and we utilized Taste for our catering/service needs for rehearsal dinner and day of. We dealt specifically with Katie, who was very knowledgeable, helpful, and supportive through the planning process. She had answers to all of our questions and was easy to get in touch with. The food/drink quality was great and we enjoyed the menus we had set. The staff working both days were incredibly friendly and made a point to check in with my husband and I to ensure we were doing alright. We did have family and friends tell us that guests did not have waters at their tables during reception and that the tea/coffee station was not set up, but those are small things we aren’t going to fret on. Overall, Taste was a huge part of our big day & is a one of the reasons we had such a perfect wedding!

Fabulous 70th Birthday party
Taste Events did a wonderful job catering my 70th Birthday party at my home in Bethany in August. We had 35 guests for cocktails and a buffet dinner. Katie was a delight to work with. She came to my home to suggest how we could best use the space (and how to manage in case it rained…happily the weather was perfect!), to go over the menu and rentals. I could tell from that meeting that Katie would deliver, and she did!
Her team was professional and friendly, just the right combo for an event in a home. Great bartending, seamless serving and great no fuss clean up at the end of the party (which was extra great as I still had a lot of friends hanging out at the house once the “official” end of the party came).
The food was delicious (what I expected from the group that’s part of Off The Hook!). People raved about the crab cakes and the short-ribs, and the sides were also terrific. For the cocktail hour we had the shrimp cocktail (absolutely the most jumbo shrimps I’ve seen) and a gorgeous charcuterie board. Just right for the occasion.

The team at Taste Events was flawless for our wedding day! I would highly recommend them, from customized menus to the professionalism of the staff. I had multiple friend and family at the event (come to me afterwards) and share how kind and helpful staff was to not only get drinks but food/apps while people were waiting in lines for food, or just in the raw bar line. Our contact for the day of was very helpful with ideas and ways to serve guests, and she was also extremely responsive (which I appreciated), as we were making last minute alterations to the offerings for guests.

Taste events absolutely knocks it out of the park on events! I’ve used them for parties, charity events and more, and each time I am in awe of how well run the entire food scenario is! They did not disappoint. I communicated with Katie via email. She was attentive and easily adaptable to all my changes and professional. Staff at the event were very nice and professional. Food presentation was amazing and tasted even better! We used taste to rent our linens for the tables. The napkins were not the correct color choices but we did not verbalized that and rolled with the punches. If the napkin color was the only inconvenience- I think we made out pretty well. Great Food With Low Cost
Highly recommend Taste Events for any momentous occasion. We had the privilege of having Katie and the Taste Events team to celebrate our special day with us, and the food was as spectacular as when we had our tasting. All of the guests loved their meals, with no complaints. Every allergy, dietary restriction, or personal preference of how each guest liked their food was executed which especially made me happy. A comment that will always stick out to me was our flower girl loves plain chicken, which was notated on our final meal list, to have the prosciutto cream sauce on the side. She raved about how good the chicken was and how special it made her feel to have her meal preference honored.
Communication was always prompt and thorough, they did a lot of the communicating with other vendors (such as cake and rentals) which took a lot off of our plate, and everything ran smoothly, from cocktail hour to clean-up. Choose Taste Events for any of your catering needs, you will not regret it!

Staff Christmas Dinner
Taste catered our Company Christmas Dinner and it was AMAZING!! They did a 3 course dinner in our Greenhouse for our 30 person staff! Their team is so professional, brought all the things they needed, and cleaned up everything. It was so easy and everyone said it was the best Christmas party we have had yet! I used Taste to cater my sister's baby shower and it was wonderful. The food was extraordinary! Everyone raved about how delicious it was and there were no leftovers - always a sign of good food! All my emails were answered within hours, if not minutes, and any adjustments I had to make were easily handled. I highly recommend Taste for any and all your catering needs!

Awesome Catering Team!
The catering team at Taste is awesome! The food was delicious and we received so many compliments! They worked with us to make sure we had everything we wanted, even through multiple instances of changing our minds. Katie is amazing! As a COVID couple, we had a lot of ups and downs in our wedding planning experience. Katie was there (literally) as a (virtual) shoulder to cry on during some of the downs and just another person on our side trying to ensure that our day was perfect. She also worked with us to make sure that all of our food offerings were as COVID safe as possible. We felt like we received great service and food for the cost. I would absolutely recommend this catering company.

10/10 amazing vendor
Taste Events catered to our house for the bridal party after our 10/10/2020 wedding in sea colony. They exceeded our expectations with a fantastic display of items. We are thrilled to have them be apart of our wedding weekend. All items were perfectly wrapped and there were so many delicious options. The Bloody Mary bar was also a great success. This will not be the last event we use Taste Events, and look forward to many more celebrations. Thanks Katie and your team for the amazing brunch fixing our post wedding celebration blues!

We had been to Hooked so we went in knowing that we loved the food from this restaurant group! We decided to do a cocktail reception because we wanted our wedding to be casual, but I was so worried about not having enough food! That was definitely not a problem, a lot of the guests told me they were full before we had the heavier apps. come out! Everything was so delicious and Katie was extremely easy to work with. I was so grateful with how accommodating they were when we moved our date due to COVID! I would absolutely use them in the future and can't recommend them enough!

Best Wedding Day Ever!
We planned a long distance wedding from Florida which had obvious challenges and concerns. Katie Green and her staff provided an amazing experience. We can not say thank you enough.
Our guests said it was the most delicious food they ever had at a wedding. We agree!
The rapport between the caterers and Kylan Barn, the venue, was seamless. The joint effort was terrific.
The organization, presentation, quality and follow up of the services was absolutely top notch!
Katie’s day of coordination was the icing on the cake. We did not have to worry about anything, which allowed us to be guests and enjoy the day fully.
We cannot give a recommendation high enough!

Easy experience during a pandemic
Taste Events was very responsive from the first email I sent them. It is tricky planning a socially distant event during the pandemic, but they were skillful and helped pull it off. Did I mention the food was amazing?!

Katie and the entire Taste Events team were absolutely amazing! They made sure that all guests had what they needed while keeping them safe. There wasn’t a thing that we asked of them that they wanted so. I can’t say enough about how they made sure our wedding day was perfect. Delicious Food!

Professional, top notch caterer!
We used Taste for our daughter’s small Covid19 wedding this past June. Katie was immensely helpful from planning to executing to finalizing the entire event. The food was delicious! The service was excellent! Their pricing is fair. We have also used Taste for our daughter’s Engagement Party last August 2019 and my 60th Birthday Party last January 2020. We are planning on using them for the big wedding celebration next July 2021. When you have this much success with a caterer, you stick with them!

The Greatest Wedding Food There Has Even Been, Period.
Katie Green and her team at Taste set the bar in their industry. Katie was always super responsive in planning and refining details and created a wonderful experience for us during our tasting process. We were one of the lucky couples who got to plan everything during the Covid -19 crisis, and it seemed like Katie always had a plan and was never ruffled by the ever changing restrictions. While we love the team at Taste, their food at our wedding was certainly the star of the show! Even now almost 3 weeks later we still have people commenting that "it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding." and we have to concur! Creative apps (please try the chicken and waffle cones), delicious spins on traditional recipes, and the FRIENDLIEST team you will ever meet. We recommend Taste for any event big or small, these guys are seriously top notch and we are so thankful they could be part of our day!

Everything from the menu-pricing and organizing the day’s event was magnificent. We had our event on the beach in Bethany. Katie was thorough and helpful in finalizing the menu. Incredible food with impeccable presentation, and the Taste Team is delight to work with
I work with the Ward Museum in Salisbury, Maryland, and our museum hired Taste Events to cater our 2020 Fall Migration Gala and our 2021 Youth Environmental Action Summit. The food for both events - both in terms of taste and presentation - was stunning, and the Taste team was courteous, friendly, and professional in their time working both events. Gala and YEAS were two very different events with very different requirements. Gala was a formal fundraiser where we needed large charcuterie displays set up throughout the galleries, as well as an assortment of finger-food-style hors d'oeuvres based around local Delmarva cuisine. YEAS was a day-long environmental activism conference held for area youth, and for that we needed a vegetarian lunch buffet for over 200 of these students as well as their teachers and guardians. Taste Events completely nailed every expectation and request we sent their way, and they did so with professionalism and grace. And of course the food was consistently delicious! Thank you so much to the team at Taste Events for all their hard work!

Wedding "in a pinch"
During these days of Covid 19, all kinds of things are happening. Our son and his fiancé had to postpone their "big" ceremony at the last minute and they just had an intimate affair with the allowable amount of people at the last minute. Taste events handled the food and had it delivered hot and on time. The Filet and Crab Cakes were cooked to perfection and all the sides and starters were excellent as well. We did not expect anything less than perfection and they delivered!

Couldn't have been any better!
We used Taste Events for our wedding and we couldn't have been happier with the outcome. We did a plated dinner for 150 guests and all of the food was delicious and the presentation was beautiful. Sometimes food at a wedding can be a little forgettable, however ours was something to remember..food presentation is just as important as how it tastes and they nailed it. The passed hors d'oeuvres were delicious, plentiful and hit the spot. Taste also did the bar-tending and allowed us to provide our own alcohol for them to serve (which may be dependent on venue location), but that saved us some money in the long run. Taste was also willing to work with our budget and had a menu with a lot of options available that we could pick and choose from to fit within our price point.

I truly feel so lucky to have Katie as a part of my wedding (and of course the rest of the Taste team was amazing, too). Our experience with them was amazing and I hope I have another event so I can hire them again. Katie helped us essentially as a day-of coordinator. She knew our venue really well and she wanted to make sure everything went smoothly, which also included day-of coordinating for us! She was great to have around on the wedding day and was very responsive to anything we needed, in the weeks leading up to the wedding and the big day. There were no complaints about the food and overall Taste was amazing to work with!

Wedding- November 9, 2019
We had Taste Events as our catering for our wedding on Saturday, November 9t 2019. The staff was very nice and did an excellent job. The cheese/charcuterie display was GORGEOUS. We did apps such as mini crabcakes, bacon wrapped scallops, lamb lollipops, goat cheese/drunken fig tarts, and shrimp and grit cake. Our entree was a station of prime rib, asparagus, roasted potatoes, rolls, and au jus. I heard everything was amazing from our guests and they are still raving about the food- I picked all of my favorite foods and I wish I got to have them at the receptions- no one told me that the bride doesn't get a chance to eat!
Katie the event coordinator for Taste Events was a pleasure to work with and responds to emails very prompt! Taste Events is very lucky to have her.
The restaurant group attached to Taste Events is one of our favorites and we dine in often to ones such as Just Hooked, Hooked, and Tailchasers.

We hired Taste Events to cater a private dinner at our beach house for my sister's bachelorette weekend. From start to finish, they were so easy to work with; Katie was very responsive to my emails and open to my ideas for the dinner. The food was so delicious! You need Taste at your wedding!
We originally had a different caterer for our wedding, about 3 months before our wedding we switched to Taste & it was the best decision we made!! Katie worked with us to meet our budget, helped us with the rentals, and all the small details. The day of the wedding Katie & her staff went above and beyond to make the day better than I ever imagined. Katie did more than just cater she helped with the schedule of the reception and took care of us throughout the entire night. Our wedding wouldn't have been as amazing and run so smoothly if it wasn't for Taste. I would recommend them to everyone if you want an amazing wedding!

Seamless Experience
The most important thing on my wedding day was to have everything planned so that I wasn't running around putting out fires and making decisions. Taste events and the coordinator we had Katie, made that dream a reality. The only times I remember Katie coming up to me were to help me have a better time. Offering me food, drinks, and letting me know when I had to go cut the cake. She made every decision on the day so that we didn't have to. That value was more important to us than the food, which we are still hearing compliments about.
From the beginning of the process our wants and needs were always taken into consideration, and when we had no idea what we were doing they were there to help guide us through planning.
We immediately knew we were going with this vendor after we tasted the food and to my disbelief the food was better on the day of the wedding than it was during the taste test.
One last thing is that we had a weird request of wanting a queso fountain for my wife with a specific queso recipe. I handed the recipe to them a week before the wedding and they made it happen.
I couldn't have wished for anything more from a caterer and more specifically the coordinator Katie.

Taste events and Katie did such a wonderful job at our wedding! They were quick to answer my last minute inquiries. They were flexible with my bizarre requests (like using my dads salsa and queso recipe). Katie was so so helpful on the day of the wedding- she set up all my centerpieces so I wouldn’t have to worry. My guests all commented on the friendliness of the staff. They went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly and that all the guests and myself were happy!

Taste Events gave us the most amazing food for our wedding! I cannot rave enough about their ability to give us a TON of amazing food options to create the perfect individualized menu for our wedding. They set the bar high and all of our guests gushed about how great their food, service, and professionalism was. It was easy to communicate with them and they were very reliable when it came to food testing and the day of our event. I highly recommend you hiring them for your catering needs. You will not be disappointed!

Delicious Food, Impeccable Service, Kind Staff filled with Positive Energies!
Katie and all the staff worked hard to ensure the needs of our guests were met with incredible ease and kindness during our Summer Solstice wedding weekend. The staff was always smiling and added to the positive energies of all 3 events held! They went above and beyond, even helping to serve some traditional Greek dishes cooked by the grooms family. Guests were raving about the food especially the crab cakes (with zero filler!)
Katie, you are an incredible wedding coordinator, this is your calling! Calm, grounded and open to ideas! There is no possible way we could have pulled this off without you! Everyone at Tailchashers and Taste Events, we are overflowing with gratitude! Thank you for filling our wedding weekend your magic!

Phenomenal Food!
Taste Events is phenomenal to work with! The menu, Katie Green, helped us create for our wedding turned out perfect!! Everyone loved all the food especially the gazpacho shooters with truffle oil grilled cheese sliders, the mini crab cakes, to our mini chicken and waffle bites not to mention our full buffet meal for dinner!! We truly enjoyed working with Katie Green! She’s so down to earth and calming in the whole planning process. I love Taste Events connection with all the local farms in the area. You knew your food would be super fresh!
The day of our wedding Chef Bill, with lead servers Mary and Tori, kept our wedding running smoothly. They were so efficient and just genuinely nice people!! Such a pleasure!!
Kylan Barn allowed us to bring in our own alcohol so we worked with Taste Events for the bar tenders. The bar tenders were so sweet and I loved the signature drink they made for us!! They too were just such a pleasure to work with!
I cannot say enough good things about working with Taste Events!!

Nothing short of amazing!
Katie and her team were spectacular for my wedding. They were professional and kept the entire event together. Katie acted as a day of coordinator as well and I wouldn't have trusted anyone else to keep the event running seamlessly even as some times shifted (which I hardly noticed since it was run so smooth)... I cannot recommend them more. They were phenomenal.

Katie is the go-to person! She is so knowledgeable and anticipates elements that only someone with her experience would know. Also, Chef was awesome!! And . all the staff she assigned to my party were top professional and so pleasant to work with. I recommend them with NO reservations. If you want a great event use them!!!

Fantastic sit down dinner
Taste was a fabulous choice to cater my daughter's wedding. Katie was organized & gave us excellent advice. She acted like a wedding planner, taking care of all the details. The meals were fantastic as were the appetizers. Highly recommend.

Excellent service for non-trad beach wedding
Katie was great during the process. She responded quickly to questions and requests, helped coordinate among our separate vendors, never tried to oversell services, and was INVALUABLE the day/night of the reception.
The food and bar service exceeded expectations. Excellent food, strong drinks, and friendly, accommodating staff. We can't recommend Katie and her people at Taste enough.

Taste Events and Tailchasers is a Winning Combo
From the start, Katie was easy to work with. She suggested which venue to use and how much food to order. We had the rehearsal dinner at Tailchasers in Ocean City, which turned out to be the perfect venue. The servers were very attentive, passing out appetizers and making sure everyone was fed. The taco bar was a huge hit, and the cooks made sure the line moved quickly and everyone got what they wanted. The bar staff was also fantastic, made great drinks and kept us all happy.

Katie Green was amazing! Her staff was excellent also! From the beginning of meeting with Katie I was completely at ease and knew that my daughter's wedding was in excellent hands! I had to make quite a few changes to my menu and each time Katie was patient, kind, considerate, and just an overall pleasure to work with. Due to time constraints I was not able to have my reception tables set up, table settings completed, and there were so many other details that I did not have time to finish but because of Katie {and her staff} I was able to leave it with her and go be with my daughter at her wedding and when we arrived at the reception everything was incredible! I will most definitely employ her services again in the future as my business needs arise. She and her staff are an amazing group and one that I will always recommend!

Working with Katie was an absolute pleasure. She was always available, with quick email responses and several visits to my home, which was the site of the reception. She was more to me than just the caterer - she halped figure out layout of the reception, a time frame of the evening, and so much more. And she did all this while pregnant. She gave birth to her son 2 weeks before my wedding and still always just as available as before. I would work with karie again in a heartbeat. Also, the food was amazing, everyone raves about it. Taste will definitely cater all my future events.

Outstanding organization to work with. TASTE took care of all the catering and rental equipment for the wedding reception; gave excellent suggestions in the planning phase; were very professional in their interface with the parents of the bride, the bride and the groom during the planning phase and throughout the ceremony/reception; interfaced well with the music and venue organizations; and provided exceptional food. Katie Green, the representative from TASTE was wonderful - very friendly, professional, knowledgeable, transparent, and went over and above what was expected in a few matters - which made the entire experience a joy to be a part of. We are still getting kudo messages from the wedding and reception attendees and the bride and groom were extremely pleased with the whole event. TASTE is a topnotch organization and we would recommend TASTE and Katie Green to anyone contemplating having a wedding and reception in Sussex County DE.

I cannot say enough good things about Katie and Taste Events. They catered our beach wedding on 5/5/18 and did an absolutely amazing job. We rented a beach house and they came on site to finish the food and serve it. Every part of the food was delicious, every person they had with them was kind and professional, and they managed without the slightest problem when we moved our dinner inside at the last minute due to a passing shower. Katie was the most responsive person I think I’ve ever worked with. She helped us design a perfect dinner that worked for our budget and it was wonderful. Thank you so very much for being a huge part of our special day.

My husband and I would eat at Hooked every Thursday for taco night! We thought it would be the perfect place to have our rehearsal dinner! We rented out the whole upstairs to have privacy, and we had the best time! Katie was so helpful and the food was amazing! It's hard to find a place that has great food and service! Thank you Hooked!
