The best planning experience!

Taryn and her team are the absolute best!!! We did full planning with Taryn, and she made the entire process soooo much less stressful than it would have otherwise been. We didn't want a super fancy wedding, and she never pushed us to do anything at a bigger scale than what we wanted but provided sage advice and wedding industry expertise that helped us make decisions about our budget. I'm beyond grateful that we made the investment of hiring her - it made a huge difference in our quality of life during the 18 months that we were planning! Taryn was so calming, kind, and on top of things at every step of the way. She had great ideas for the design (which turned out just gorgeous!) and was super collaborative. She also had excellent suggestions for vendors. When it came time for our wedding weekend, we were able to completely relax and be in the moment because we trusted her so much to run the day smoothly. She and her team (shoutout to Caleb and Adreanna) handled everything so beautifully, and my new husband and I had the best day we could have imagined! I wish every couple could have a Taryn for their wedding - the peace of mind she gave us was an incredible gift.

The best planner we could have asked for!

From the moment we hired Taryn and SoCal Wedding Consultant, I immediately felt more at ease with the process of wedding planning. Though we hired SCWC for event coordination and design, Taryn was there for us during every step of the process. She reviewed our vendor contracts, was available by phone or email to answer any questions we had, gave us timelines and deadlines to follow, and generally made our lives so much easier. Three months before the wedding, Taryn fully took over vendor communications, which was an enormous weight off our backs. Taryn and her staff are so positive, kind and welcoming -- she answered our zillions of questions with patience and kindness, provided valuable insight and gently steered us away from decisions that may not have worked out well for us. One day before our wedding, we visited our venue only to find that there were goose droppings ALL over the main lawn where we were planning to have our ceremony. The next day, Taryn made sure literally every single piece of it was gone, while still maintaining the kindest, warmest energy that made the day so much better. You will absolutely not regret hiring Taryn and SCWC for your wedding - they are the best of the best

The best of the best!

SoCal Wedding Consultant was everything I could have hoped for in a coordination team, and more. My inquiries and initial contact was predominantly with Adreanna, and she was amazing every step of the way. I felt like not only did she have my back, but that she completely understood what we were going for with our wedding – which while it wasn’t exactly traditional, it wasn’t so out of the box either. Other folks I spoke to initially struggled to grasp the concept. Adreanna was organized, punctual, and on top of everything and anything I needed, even when I started working with her almost a year and a half in advance.

Taryn is truly amazing and sent wonderful emails and kept in contact, before becoming the primary contact closer to my wedding. She too was on top of things, a very clear communicator, quick with answers and assistance. I can’t even begin to imagine what went on behind the scenes that she and Adreanna handled before it could come to my attention both before and during my wedding day.

At first, I thought I didn’t need coordination, especially because my venue had their own coordinator. LET ME TELL YOU HOW IMPORTANT IT IS TO HAVE YOUR OWN COORDINATOR(S)!!! Taryn and Adreanna really made sure things went smoothly and helped wrangle the difficult on-site coordinator. They identified that coordinator’s errors and continually corrected them. I never saw the on-site coordinator. Not once. Meanwhile, I saw Adreanna and Taryn constantly day of, and they were fantastic, checking to see if we needed anything, if we felt prepared, supported, etc. Caleb, who I didn’t have a chance to properly meet, was quick on the draw to help with a potential wardrobe issue too.

The whole team was amazing and made everything stress-free. I got to really enjoy my wedding day, preparing, getting ready, spending time with family and friends, my ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and reception due to the kindness, support, attention to detail, professionalism, and dedication of Taryn and Adreanna. I cannot stress enough to anyone who is reading this, this is the team to hire. I’m a Type A, very detail-driven person who thought they could handle it all on their own, and the BEST money I spent from my wedding budget, was the money spent to hire SoCal Wedding Consultant. I want to do it all over again just so I can have them helping me along the way.

LIFE (and wedding) SAVER

If you want to have the smoothest wedding day possible, surrounded by the most professional and attentive to detail team, then Taryn is your go-to. My (now) husband and I have very busy jobs, and planning a large cultural wedding was going to take up so much time that neither of us had. Taryn made this process incredibly smooth and so stress free for us which was so so important. She gave birth to her sweet twins right around our wedding date so she unfortunate could not be there to celebrate with us in person, but she provided multiple extra coordinators on the day of to make sure everything went PERFECT. My husband and I felt nothing but bliss on our wedding day and that was all thanks to Taryn and her team, we cannot thank you enough!

Call taryn now!

I initially spoke with several planners trying to find someone to help me plan my wedding in CA from the East Coast. As soon as I spoke to Taryn, I was at ease. She understood what I was looking for in a planner and in a wedding, and had such a calm demeaner that I loved. It was a pretty easy decision after that. Taryn was initially supposed to be working with us for a quick turnaround for a Fall 2020 wedding, which turned into an additional year of planning and rescheduling. I cannot imagine doing that without her - everything was so smooth. She uses this wonderful system called Aisle Planner that allows for all the checklists, seating charts, etc. to be in one organized place. When she said she would handle something, I never worried that it wouldn't be handled. She is the sweetest and so calm, but she will also go to bat for you when you need her to! We just had our wedding this weekend, and it went perfectly. Our whole bridal party told us how much they loved Taryn. She made sure everything was perfect, but also made everything fun. She had an assistant planner with her, Caleb, who was also wonderful, and they stood next to us before our entrance and did a countdown dance together before opening the door for us. They both quite literally re-bustled my whole dress with safety pins when I told her it was dragging on the ground. I could go on and on about Taryn, but all you need to know is that my now-husband and I agreed hands down that Taryn was the best choice we made for our wedding. THANK YOU TARYN!

Trustworthy, high quality, THE BEST

We hired Taryn over a year ago for our January 2020 wedding. We decided to work with her after our hour long discovery call, in which I really connect with Taryn's work ethic and expectations. Over the year leading up to the wedding, Taryn's responsiveness and open communication made me trust her completely (hard for a Type A personality!). On the day of our wedding, Taryn's trustworthiness allowed me to hand almost everything off to her so I could focus on having fun and enjoying the day. Everything was executed to a T, and turned out better than I had imagined. Even our guests were raving about how "on top of it" and helpful Taryn and Caleb were. I cannot thank them enough!

We had two weddings on different US coasts (so two wedding planners), and Taryn was head and shoulders above everybody we worked with across both weddings. I would recommend her to everybody.

Perfect Wedding Day

Taryn planned the wedding we didn't think was possible, and it was as close to perfect as we could have hoped. Book her!!

Our story:

We wanted to plan an interracial, intercultural, inter-religious wedding ceremony and reception that would please everyone on both sides. Even to us it sounded like a recipe for disaster or worse, a huge let down.

We decided to have a long, 2.5 year engagement so that we could fully integrate + familiarize our families with one another. This was not a regular wedding!

In the end, everyone on both sides of the family loved it, grew from it, and walked away in awe at what we had managed to pull off.

We contacted Taryn in October of 2017 -- one year after we had gotten engaged -- because we really needed to start planning! We were looking for someone who seemed honest, organized, and had a crystal clear vision for how things should go. We didn't want a push over planner who would do anything we asked even if it was a bad idea, and we also didn't want a planner-zilla who oversold us on unnecessary details. Right in the middle -- simple right? LOL.

After speaking with multiple planners on both sides of those not-so-good spectrums, we found Taryn. I'll never forget the phone call with her. I just sort of knew she was the one. She's simple, to the point, and has done this enough times to know exactly what to do.

My husband and I are both journalists, and even more, I'm a producer... so we've both planned events big and small and spend our days worrying about details literally no one else will notice. It was going to be very hard for me especially not to get overwhelmed in trying to produce our event all ourselves, even with a wedding planner, and Taryn made it really easy for us to let go and let her handle things.

Almost two years later we got married!
The two years we worked with Taryn were perfect. She always delivered exactly what we wanted. We got the venue, photographer, florist, food, hair and makeup we wanted, and she worked with us patiently on each and every question we had. And we had a lot of questions!

In the background, we were working through two years of intense negotiations with our families and ourselves on this epic coming together of two families who didn't know each other or each others customs and traditions. When it came time to speak with Taryn, we were exhausted from working through compromises with our families, and it was so nice to work with her because she was our little calm island in the storm around us. Planning the 50/50 split wedding of our dreams was not easy! Taryn made it easy.

When it came time for our wedding day, Taryn was there for us. I'm a high anxiety person, and so the wedding events really amped up my anxiety. We had six events in eight days... on the morning of the fourth event I woke up completely nervous and sick. I was supposed to be in charge of cutting music for our dances with our parents, but my nerves were keeping me from doing anything useful. Taryn checked in on me + the music, and I just decided to admit -- I cannot do anything. She asked if she could call me, and she did immediately. After the phone call she took over the music duties and I felt so much better.

The next day was our wedding day. It's hard for me to admit something is perfection, but our wedding really was for us. I let go as much as I could as a high anxiety planner for a living type person, and Taryn took the wheel for both of us. I didn't worry about anything and everything went exactly how we had envisioned it. I was able to be so present during my events that I didn't even see her and her team working the event. Everything ran like clockwork. The room design was beautiful, her team was great, and I just felt like I could fully let go and enjoy something almost three years in the making.

Over the years we have worked with a lot of different coordinators, and I do have to say I was blown away by Taryn. She is so professional and organized while also such a blast to work alongside. Taryn took control of everything and kept the day running smoothly with such a calm demeanor!

If you want an organized, professional, kind, thoughtful, and honest wedding coordinator, it's Taryn. I don't know how she does it all, but she does, and she does it with a smile! Taryn and her team are AWESOME!!! I started planning my wedding a year ago. I thought how hard could this be? Plenty!!! I discovered Taryn on the internet and had a consultation. I wasn't ready and put it off for a couple of months. Taryn followed up with me over the months and I began to recognize her true worth as a planner...follow up and attention to detail. Not only does she have mad organizational skills, she also has an amazing network of vendors to boot. Taryn took my pinterest page of scattered ideas and transformed it into a design board complete with concept, colors and pictures. I am a designer and I know creative talent when I see it. It is rare to have analytical attention to detail and creative genius in a single body! Taryn is that single body! Additionally she has the patience of Job and always respects that it is your wedding - you always have the final say and I never felt pressured to do things a certain way. Taryn made planning my wedding a complete joy. Call me crazy but I miss the process. Taryn made that possible for me to say. My wedding went off beautifully. I'm so thankful I found Taryn and her team. I could NOT have planned my wedding without her by my side. We had a destination wedding in California and at first I tried to do it myself. I selected the wedding venue with no problem, but choosing a reception venue, rentals, and organizing all the tiny details proved to be a challenge. That is when I decided to seek professional help. Taryn stood out from the beginning. She is kind, organized and extremely thorough. I had a strict budget and she helped me accomplish all of my goals by working with the vendors and figuring out which options worked best for me. On my wedding day I didn't worry about a thing because I knew she had it handled. When we got to the reception it was all I imagined and more. The SoCal Wedding Consultant team set it up beautifully. It has been three weeks since my wedding and I still continue to get compliments from my guests about how well-organized the day was.

It is very rare to find a planner who pours their heart and soul into their work. Taryn is a diamond in the rough. Seriously, I'm telling you, from a professional perspective- look no further. Working with Taryn to plan my wedding was one of the best decisions we made! When we first started planning our wedding we were living overseas and Taryn was super responsive via email & skype. We had a HUGE wedding and Andrew, Caleb and Kailey were amazing. Working with Andrew prior to the wedding was an absolute breeze. The day of the wedding they had to do quite a bit of setup as well as timeline etc. and they were fabulous. Kailey has a great eye for design and was such a sweetheart. And, I have to give Caleb extra credit as he SEWED MY DRESS BACK TOGETHER after a dancing mishap. I am so grateful for everything that they did for us, and absolutely recommend them <3

Danny and Taryn were great. They were always there for me when I had freak out moments, Taryn also read my mind when it came to decor, flowers, and design. Taryn Collins and her consultants are AWESOME! I wish I could give them 10 stars, that is how much I LOVE THEM.

When my fiance and I decided to get hitched, we knew we needed a planner since we're based in Louisiana. My mother, who lives in the area, got a few planner recs. I called all of them and knew within seconds that Taryn was the best fit. She spent over an hour on the phone with me - before we signed any contract or even talked money - just getting to know us, what we wanted etc.

The entire wedding planning process was a breeze. Like, everyone was SHOCKED by how chill and relaxed I was during the whole thing. Taryn was very communicative and easy to get a hold of and she's soooo calm - I never felt stressed about anything.

Now, the good stuff - MY WEDDING AND RECEPTION WERE GORGEOUS AND SOOO FUN. Everyone - and I mean EVERYONE - said it was the best wedding they had ever been to.

All in all, Taryn was one of the best wedding decisions I made - pretty much only topped by deciding to marry Henry. :) Do yourself a favor, HIRE HER.

Their team was instrumental in the planning of my wedding. I lived in a different state at the time I had to choose a venue, and had to do it site un-seen. Sarah was amazing--she took my vision for the wedding, and suggested a few venues which fit my description. She was very organized and always asked the questions that I had never thought of. She really made the whole event so stress-free for me. I knew it would be perfect with her there to oversee the details. She was worth every penny and I would hire her again in a heart beat!

Working with WC was by far the best investment we made in planning our wedding! I worked with SoCal Wedding Consultant this past weekend on a wedding in located in San Diego. They were absolutely wonderful to work with! What stood out most to me was their quick response time and how organized and thorough they were with coordinating details. I always appreciate a coordinator who stays on top of things and takes charge so I am not the one having to constantly reach out to them. It really makes my job easier:) They also did a BEAUTIFUL job with setting up both the ceremony and reception site. They had a quick (about 1 hour) turnaround with breaking down the ceremony and setting up the reception in the same venue and I was thoroughly impressed with their attention to detail. Job well done girls! I hope to work with you again soon!

SoCal WC was an absolute life saver and a pleasure to work with. To think we almost planned this wedding by ourselves!
We originally spoke with Taryn who was very helpful with vendor recommendations as well as tackling each task on our to do list with ease. Sarah was our day of coordinator and she was just as fantastic as Taryn. When it came down to the month of she took care of contacting all of the vendors, finalizing everything, and had a very detailed schedule for us. The day of the wedding she and her assistant were on top of everything. They took care of every little detail. We were able to enjoy our entire wedding because they were so on point. This was by FAR the BEST investment we made for our wedding. Not only would I recommend them so you can have fun at your wedding, but we are so grateful we enjoyed our engagement to the fullest without any stress of planning.

Sarah and Kailey were impeccable wedding planners for our wedding in Los Angeles. We had our wedding in San Diego and it was an absolute dream. Taryn makes planning so easy and smooth, and even during the conference call with her right before we knew we had nothing to worry about. The planning portal on the NYWC website was really what sold us. We could work on our timeline, keep our contracts in one place and loved having the advice of who to tip what right at our fingertips. Taryn Collins worked so well with myself and, daughter in law, and my son on my son's wedding day. My daughter in law was too busy to do much planning, so she handed me the reins. It's been quite awhile since my own wedding ;-] so Taryn's expertise on vendors and locations in Southern California (Orange County) were such a relief. When we first started the wedding planning process, I knew we couldn't afford a wedding planner. It wasn't until 6 months after we had been engaged and I still hadn't planned one single thing!!!
Finally I agreed to meet. After talking for about 5 minutes I knew we needed her!!! She is encouraging, caring, and one smart cookie!
We still talk about how this was the best money we ever spent! The process was a breeze, the vendors were perfect for our needs. Then on the day of our wedding we were in complete awe of how wonderful Taryn and her team truly are! The day was the easiest and most wonderful experience, completely stress free and just so full of love, laughter, and fun!
My favorite part is that through this whole journey I was able to gain a friend. It doesn't get much better then that!

My husband and I live in Astoria, NY and decided to have our wedding in Anaheim,CA as most of our family lives there. We tried planning on our own but found that it was too overwhelming. We interviewed a few coordinators before Jacob and I met Taryn Collins. From the start, We could tell Taryn was very organized and honest with our expectations. She's also from Southern California, so it was a huge plus!!

Working with her this past year has relieved so much stress in regards to planning since this was considered a destination wedding. Once we made our decisions with the vendors she coordinated the rest from there and handled any issues and/or request we had. She made herself available at all times via email, text, or phone and was always quick to respond with feedback that needed research.

If you are thinking about hiring Taryn as your wedding coordinator, DO IT! She really does loves her job and it shows. Jacob and I were every impressed the day of the wedding.

Eugenio was the wedding planner for my daughter's wedding. This was my daughters dream wedding and Eugenio helped make her dream come true! He took on the huge task of all of our requests and gathered and worked with all of the vendors needed from the custom designed invitations to the china and sequin linens to the flowers to the string quartet to the Cinderella horse drawn carriage and everything in between! Taryn and her crew were just fantastic! I hired her for mostly 'day-of' services as I planned my wedding. Truthfully, I was able to ask her as many questions as I wanted throughout the process. She attended the pre-con meeting with the reception coordinator and was invaluable in her advice. However, I must say her greatest value to me was her calm, can-do demeanor on the day of the wedding. YAY weddings! We were so so happy that we hired nywc! First of all, their pricing is much cheaper than other coordinators, +1 point to them for that. I originally met with Taryn about a year before our wedding and knew right away that their team was the one for us. Everyone that we met was nothing but professional and sweet. She explained that they have several lead planners and then associates so they can do multiple weddings in one day but they never have more than one wedding per weekend per planner so you're their main focus that week! That was important to me and my DH.

The month and day of we worked with Alyssa and she was very organized and very behind the scenes just making sure that everything was perfect for us.

IF YOU'RE EVEN CONSIDERING A PLANNER, DO IT!! I would have gone crazy with out them!

Ny Wedding Consultant was absolutely wonderful to work with. Initially I debated whether we should add a coordinator to our budget, but since we planned our wedding from out of town, I knew it would be extremely helpful to have someone local who knew the wedding "scene" to help us. It was the best money we spent, hands down. Their knowledge of vendors (who's good, who's up-and-coming, who's most budget friendly) was invaluable and made it so much easier to narrow down what can be an overwhelming number of choices. Having two coordinators on-site on the day of the wedding was so wonderful. I knew their staff had it all taken care of and would keep us on schedule -- and because of that, I was able to be relaxed on what otherwise could have been a stressful day.

I worked with Alyssa. She was amazing, a pleasure to work with, and provided quick responses to every e-mail. I was ready to make her a Bridesmaid!

In an effort to provide valuable feedback, I've separated my comments into the planning process and the "day of" the event:

During our event, Alyssa was excellent about letting us enjoy the Reception without hovering yet also guided us through each step to ensure that the event was running efficiently. This is a tricky balance to achieve, and she did it flawlessly. As a bonus, she made sure that I had an opportunity to eat something at the Reception, most brides don't get to eat!

During the planning process, the whole NYWC team successfully coordinated with other vendors to ensure that everything was in balance.

The wedding was like a dream. It was beautiful, and we could not have accomplished such a seamless event without them.

I'm obviously very satisfied with their services and will sing Alyssa's praises to the world.

NYWC's incredible team helped with month of & day of coordination for our wedding. Not only did they take the time & thought to provide us an incredible service, they do so very willingly & accommodated for our specific requests. I loved working with Taryn and she has truly made our dream wedding come true. She has worked with me for 14 months for our wedding coordination and consultation for our wedding.

One of the best traits about Taryn is she is very knowledgeable and honest when it comes to important decision making. She was always spot-on when I asked advised on the budget estimate from venues to flower fees based on our guest count and vision. She helped me get a realistic understanding of what my budget would be so there was no last minute surprises and I was able to make adjustments in my wedding planning at a very early stage. By the end of the planning, I gave her 100% trust and that is exactly what you need to have with your planner.

I also want to mention that NYWC has the best connections and knowledge about wedding vendors. I absolutely loved all the vendors she has recommended. Not only were there services top notch but they were friendly and easy going just like everyone at NYWC.

Taryn is very responsive and has wonderful ideas. She also very on-time for all meetings and calls! She's just on top of all the things you need to do and would want to do for your wedding!

If you are a destination bride coming to NY you need to hire NY Wedding Consultants. I got married in brooklyn and we had to have a wedding coordinator booked before we could book the space. Working with Alyssa was a dream. I am a type A personality, pretty organized, and had a pretty clear vision of what I wanted. To start, she helped me find the right vendors. She didn't push any one vendor on me but when I asked for her recommendations (photographer, videographer, hair and makeup) she would send me a list of about three vendors each that would vary in price, packages, etc. It was nice to have someone who knows the local vendors rather than searching and hiring blindly as I'm planning from another state.
They also respond extremely fast. As a bride, I want answers fast and not getting them sometimes can create stress. You won't get that here! The wedding itself turned out better than I ever could have imagined. It was my vision on steroids. It was perfect and all our guests still can't stop commenting on every little aspect of the wedding. Even if you are organized and know exactly what you want, you need NYWC. I felt like a guest at my wedding, able to enjoy myself rather than stress!

Brides if you want your wedding to be PERFECT and not have to worry about anything Alyssa with New york wedding consultant is the right choice. I do not live in NYC and Alyssa took care of everything. She was the only wedding planner that got back to me quickly and from that moment to the end of our wedding she took care of me and made our wedding Perfect!

Everything was excellent. Our wedding turned out the way I was dreaming it would. And it was more than what was I expecting. It's worth it to hire a wedding planner like Taryn who's very patient, professional, well-knowledge in everything specially about budget, very organized, and she was there for us from the beginning planning the wedding up to the end of the wedding receptioned. And we could see that this is her passion, everytime we met. We are so blessed that God brought this company to us to be our wedding planner. She's the one I was praying & looking for. Our family, friends & guests were really amazed of how she did everything & got all positive feedback. And for sure, I'll recommend her to a couple who's planning to get married, cuz she's worth it! NYWC was hired as the day of/month of coordinator for our wedding. The team took care of all the vendor follow up and last minute changes leading up to the wedding including the event space coordinator. Taryn also coordinated the wedding day. We were able to relax and enjoy the entire wedding day knowing that Taryn and the girls were there to handle any problems that might arise. I'm pretty sure there were a few hiccups.. but we definitely didn't hear about them or notice anything went wrong. Our day ran very smoothly and we are so grateful they made a schedule for the day. We were very impressed with their professionalism and how well the whole crew interacted with our family, guests and other vendors... everyone was raving about them.

NYWC was an absolute lifesaver! As a more DIY kind of bride, i debated for a long time whether I needed a wedding coordinator and was beginning to struggle dealing with some vendors as the date neared the wedding day. Taryn and Christine came to the rescue!! She was so quick in her response to my inquiry from the beginning, and very flexible with timing and punctual, adjusting easily and without hesitation to my hectic schedule. She has great energy and optimism that I felt reflected my own, and thus we got along great! She coordinated with all my vendors and even spoke up for me to protect my interests when I was so frustrated I felt like giving up. She went out of her way to do services that she wasnt necessarily required to do as well. Taryn did most of the month of coordination and Christine was my day of cooridnator. Christine always makes sure you are okay with whatever may need to happen at the last minute instead of just doing it on her own and later risking upsetting the bride. She very organized and she knows what shes doing, and for the lack of a better way to say this, follows instructions and ur wishes to the T. In the end, it was worth every penny and more to have NYWC as my wedding day coordinator. Everything went so smoothly b/c of them and I cannot recommend their service enough!! To this day, I call Taryn and Christine my other maids of honor =)

After my husband proposed to me, I knew I had a lot of planning to do, but had no idea where to start. Thank God for NYWC!! They helped me put a plan into place and made my vision come to life! I am so happy that I invested in getting a wedding planner, you don't realize all the hard work it takes to plan such a grand event. I never had to worry about anything going wrong, they were right there to take care of everything for me. I would recommend a planner for any bride out there, definitely a good investment!

WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!! A month before our wedding we contacted Taryn whom we had met the summer before while looking at a venue. Taryn did a wonderful job helping me to bring my ideals to life. She was an absolute pleasure to work with, very detailed oriented and flexible. I had a WORRY FREE wedding day experience. She took care of very detail. My job was to get dress, and ENJOY! Taryn and her team were amazing. It was like planning a wedding with a friend who did everything for you! There is no way I could have pulled off our dream wedding on budget without her. I did little to no research, just let Taryn take the lead and that was all I needed to do! She has amazing taste and a crazy ability to pretty much read your mind!

We started with just the wedding consultation. Within 5 minutes, we loved her. She helped us decide what type of wedding we wanted, NYC hotel or beachy. She gave us a list of 3 choices for each vendor that was WITHIN our budget and helped us pick which was best. After the consultation, we knew we needed her for the month of coordination package.

She was a calming and professional presence through our entire planning process. Without Taryn, I would have lost my mind. Do yourself a favor and call her for your event. I'm glad I did!

Just got back from my consultation with Taryn, and I feel so much better!! Several of my co-workers have worked with NY Wedding Consultant and recommended them. Only one had worked with Taryn before but she's wonderful. We're working on a very small budget for New York (under 20k with a huge guest count, good luck!) so we were really stressed out. We met them at a bridal show and decided that this might help us to feel less stressed. BY GOD it DID. She assured us that we can make it happen, helped us to find what was really important to us, and where we should be budgeting based on that. And, it wasn't stressful at all, it was FUN.

Plus, chocolates and wine, yes PLEASE! Very excited to work with them the day of as well.

Taryn and Sarah helped to plan our wedding day in Cancun and thank GOD we had them. I didn't have time to do any site visits, but they took care of all of that for me and helped to find me the best deals as well as a place that would suit our huge families. I know it sounds silly, but we trusted NYWC's experience with New York weddings more than we trusted the planners that we found in California where we got married. We figured that New York brides must be a little more difficult than our low key wedding ;p As of our wedding in 2013, they were based in the Inland Empire in California as well as New York. I had the most positive experience with Taren. She was so kind, understanding, and on top of every detail. Professionalism and care are clearly a top priority of hers. My entire day went smoothly and not one thing went wrong. I was a very worried and nervous bride and she listened to all my concerns and made sure they were handled with care. Wedding coordination is without a doubt THE best money I spent on my wedding! We were required by our venue to hire a coordinator and I contacted two prior to finding NYWC. Our venue has very specific rules so we wanted to make sure we had someone who had either worked there before or if they hadn't, was willing to put in the legwork to learn all the ins and outs of the place!

The first coordinator I talked to was nice but my fiance and I quickly realized she couldn't deliver what we were looking for. The second, was way out of our budget! I was starting to get discouraged and wondered if I'd be able to find someone. Enter, Taryn and NYWC! She has such attention to detail, nothing was overlooked. My other vendors also mentioned that she was such a fabulous coordinator and that they would love the opportunity to work with her again.

All of my bridal party kept marveling the day of the wedding that I was the calmest bride they had ever seen. I attribute that all to Taryn - I knew I had nothing to worry about because she had everything under control. I highly highly recommend her to any brides out there looking for a coordinator/wedding planner. She was an absolute blessing and I am so fortunate to have had her be part of the most important day of our lives!

Working with NYWC was amazing! Working with Taryn, Christine, and Sarah prior to the BIG DAY was a breeze, they was attentive, detail-oriented, and ultimately able to function independently without me having to worry about the nitty gritty details. My husband and I were thrilled with our wedding! It was exactly what we wanted--intimate, beautiful and romantic. We live in California but wanted to have a fun and unique wedding.

NYWC was wonderful to work with and did a fantastic job of organizing everything. No detail was overlooked. When we decided to do a destination wedding in NYC, I contacted three wedding planners. Taryn was the first to respond, and it was clear from my early communications with her that she was genuinely interested in our vision for our wedding rather than trying to steer us into a ‘cookie cutter’ ceremony.

We wanted a true NYC venue, and Taryn found a location that was perfect for our small group. The food and cake for our reception required special attention due to gluten and soy free dietary restrictions. Taryn found an excellent chef that prepared amazing food and a wonderful baker that created an outstanding gluten free cake.

Working with Taryn and the crew at NYWC was easy. They communicated regularly about everything, and were available to me even outside of business hours. Taryn and I communicated by phone and e-mail prior to our arrival in NY. When I think back to our wedding day, not only do I remember how beautiful everything was, but I also remember how stress free the day was. Many thanks to Taryn and her wonderful team for creating our dream wedding.

We heard about NYWC at a bridal show and set up an appointment right away. Our consultant was super sweet and gave us a glass of champagne the moment we walked in the door. We got a lot of great advice as well as some amazing vendors. We found vendor shopping so overwhelming since there are so many. Our consultant made it easy to find our style and the vendors that would fit best. Plus, they only recommend vendors they KNOW will be professional and perfect. The additional money we saved by booking our DJ, photo and flowers by using NYWC made this the best money we spent on wedding planning.

We were lucky enough to use NYWC, Taryn, and Christine for our "Month of" Coordination services. We met with them one time before the big day, and GOD it was the perfect way to calm frizzy nerves. I couldn't imagine doing it any other way. On our wedding day, we felt that we had a team of much more than two people helping us. There was apparently a huge problem with the cake which they solved without me finding out until my husband told me after everything was over.

All of our DIY/details were set up just as I imagined.

If you're looking for someone to make it all happen day of- they will MAKE IT HAPPEN.

Just got back from our honeymoon and couldn't wait to review you guys! We only planned for about 4 months and Taryn and her team made it so easy and relaxing for us. She gave us the Knot planning binder and went through it with us so that we didn't miss a single detail of our day during our appointment with her. The wine, chocolate and relaxing ambiance were a huge added bonus and I think that starting our planning with that feeling kept us feeling calm through everything. She acted as an agent on our behalf to find everyone working on our wedding and we were so happy with the results. :)
