The Barn at Tanque Verde ranch was the most stunning venue for our wedding. Chloe did a fantastic job in helping bring together our special day. The support staff was excellent catering to our every need and desire during our ceremony and reception. We had several people tell us that it was the best wedding they had been to including their own and their own kid’s weddings. The staff had all of our gifts waiting for us at the end of the night in our room. We accidentally left our speeches in the room and the staff went out of there way to go get it for us. The bartending staff was excellent and even went out of there way to find the specialty bourbon I had requested. Words can not express how grateful we are and we can’t wait for our photos to come back so they can share them. -

Tanque Verde Ranch made our elopement absolutely magical, and we would choose it again without hesitation.
Chloe Harper was responsive, warm, and so genuinely helpful throughout the entire process. She made us feel like our intimate celebration mattered just as much as any large wedding, and that meant the world to us.
The venue speaks for itself. The natural Arizona landscape, the iconic saguaros, the sweeping views, it is simply gorgeous. Our ceremony felt like a movie. And as guests of the ranch, we got to turn our elopement into a full experience: horseback riding, spa treatments, amazing food. It was a celebration in every sense of the word.
For any couple considering eloping, stop scrolling... this is your place! It is intimate, it is beautiful, and it is the kind of experience you will talk about forever. We cannot wait to come back for our anniversaries and share this special place with our daughter as she grows up. -

Absolute BEST venue ever!! We did a destination wedding here, we live across the country, and everything was perfect. From the planning to the execution, the team was so supportive and the setting was absolutely gorgeous. The food was so delicious too! My husband and I just got married on September 28th. We are from Rhode Island and planned our wedding long distance. The ranch was absolutely wonderful and accommodating to us every step of the way. They made planning our wedding so easy, answered all of our questions, and made sure we knew they were there for us. Everything up until wedding day ran so smoothly and wedding day was so perfect! Barn Wedding

Giovanna and her team were so professional and excellent! The a majority of our guests were from out of town and loved all of the amenities, rooms, and scenery. The TVR was the perfect setting for our microwedding. We came all the way from Canada to have our wedding here! Giovanna made sure everything was arranged just how we wanted it, and the day of was seamless. The staff were so friendly and made sure all our guests were so well taken care of. Our driver, Michael, took us up to the Old Homestead for our sunset photos, he was an absolute angel and made our evening. We also stayed the night there after our wedding and the room was so cute and romantic with a fireplace, chocolate covered strawberries, and sparking wine! This place is certainly something special! -

Wedding at the Ranch
We recently got married at the Ranch venue, and had the most amazing day! We were blown away by the quality of services provided by the TVR staff — they really know how to treat their wedding guests like royalty! The food was incredible and our guests were raving about it! We loved the intimate and rustic feel of the Ranch venue, perfect for our smaller guest count, and loved how the surroundings really showed off the best of the Tucson landscape. We really appreciated having a designated day-of coordinator (Megan) who helped keep us organized throughout the process. Our day went by so smoothly and we couldn’t have dreamed of getting married at any other place than at TVR! Highly recommend!

Mackenzie and I recently had our wedding at the Tanque Verde Guest Ranch, and could not be more pleased with the entire experience. A venue coordinator, Nicole Banek was wonderful. We did not have our own wedding planner, but Nicole was able to seamlessly guide us through the process of preparing for our wedding day - keeping us on schedule with our vendors, coordinating with us frequently to answer any questions that arose, and making sure that every detail with us and the vendors was synchronized for the wedding day. She was really pleasant and fun to work with, and I'd highly recommend the Tanque Verde venue and Nicole's professional expertise to any couples thinking about having their wedding at this beautiful and organized venue.

I toured a couple other venues in town - Lowes, Hacienda Del Sol, Ventana Canyon. I found that the vibe I was going for (rustic, boho) was perfect with the barn at TVR. From the start, working with Megan, my site coordinator was great. Always very responsive to my emails. Super involved throughout my whole planning process in coordination with my wedding planner. The view of the mountain behind the stage was stunning. I loved that you could do an outdoor ceremony like I did, but could easily move into the barn if the weather decided to change. The food was also DELICIOUS and I am still getting 10/10 reviews from guests. We went with a buffet style and it flowed so well with the staff. The night truly went so smoothly and it was better than I ever could have dreamed! -

We could not have dreamt up a better venue, location, aesthetic, staff, etc. for our wedding! Aside from the beautiful landscape, what really drew us in was the ability to stay on property and have all of our friends & family book here as well (*only challenge was limited rooms and, if they didn't book right away, prices continually increased). It felt like we were at summer camp- everyone gathering in the dining hall for breakfast and lunch, and meeting up for happy hour drinks at the saloon. And there were so many activities for our guests to enjoy throughout the weekend (lounging by the year-round heated pool & jacuzzi, horseback riding, hiking, archery, etc.). And the wedding venue itself was spectacular - the staff is so warm and welcoming, extremely accommodating, and the food was great!! We planned on doing our rehearsal at Cottonwood Grove, but it got rained out. The staff was quick to move it to an indoor location and even kept the saloon open after hours so we could continue the celebrations. Best weekend at the best venue ever! We can't wait to come back and celebrate anniversaries! Regarding our vendors, we partnered with DJ Phil Montes, florist Alexis Grace Florals, photographer/videographer Meagan Getz, hair / make-up artist ‘I Do Hair and Makeup Artistry’, and shuttle service Mountain View Tours. They have all worked with Tanque Verde Ranch, so were very familiar with the space and staff. Absolute best vendors of all time- our wedding went off without a hitch!! -

Our wedding at TVR was a dream come true. We had two main goals for a venue: (1) we wanted dinner outside and (2) we wanted a dreamy desert backdrop. We visited so many venues, but when we stepped foot on the TVR Barn we knew instantly that it was our spot. The Barn is the perfect wedding venue. We hosted the ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner outside on the Barn lawn and then moved the dancing and reception inside the Barn. It was perfect. The saguaro backdrop on the Barn lawn at golden hour is absolutely breathtaking. Dinner under the stars was perfect (they even provided space heaters!). And when we moved the party inside, the staff opened up the Barn doors so it was a seamless, fluid space. I could write a short novel about how great TVR was, but here are the highlights: the Barn has its own kitchen, bar, bathrooms, and parking lot so you have privacy and incredible service from the staff; the ability to open the Barn doors allows you to maximize your use of the space; it is absolutely gorgeous inside and out -- we were showered with compliments from our guests; the food was fantastic; and, although it may feel pricey, you get so much bang for your buck. Last, but most importantly, the staff is incredible. We worked with Hanna and Megan as our venue coordinators and they absolutely killed it. (Shout out to Dillion for absolutely crushing coordination during the reception!) Hanna and Megan were so patient with all our questions and concerns and brilliant with creative solutions. Megan executed our event with professionalism, kindness, support, and creativity. As we worked through the budget, menu, floor plan, and timeline, Meg offered top tier communication, suggestions, and execution. If I could do it all over again, I’d book TVR day 1! -

We got married at the ranch last year and it was an incredible experience. We had our ceremony and reception at the barn. It was beautiful and we could not be happier we chose The Ranch. Not only is it a beautiful venue with amazing views but the staff made it easy for us. I was finishing up graduate school while planning the wedding and they took so much off my plate which I was extremely grateful for. We worked with Hanna, and I really believe the day ran so smooth because of her and the staff. They were very nice and friendly to work with.
We did not want to spend as much money on floral, which made me worry the space would feel too “bare”. But because the building is already beautiful you can use as much, or as little floral it will feel elegant. It is a space that looks great simple or grand. We also had about 85 guests which seems on the smaller side, but the space didn’t feel too big. Most of our guests were from out of town so having onsite lodging was important. It was also nice to stay onsite the night before, that made the weekend less stressful! Another great thing that I did not expect was how good the food and drinks were going to be. I feel like it’s common for wedding venues to slack on the food, but the food was AWESOME. We left our tasting excited to come back and eat.
Overall, we loved our experience and if you’re venue shopping you should definitely check it out! -

When we first stepped foot into the barn, it took our breath away! I instantly got all giddy and didn't want to continue the venue search. Having our wedding at the barn was a dream come true! There is no other venue like it in Tucson. The ceremony space on the barn lawn overlooks the saguaro national park with the Rincon mountains in the distance. So picturesque! The lawn is also perfect for cocktail hour. Plenty of room to mingle and even have a few games to stay entertained (corn hole, giant Jenga, Sparky the fake bull to practice your lasso skills). Then you move inside the barn for the reception. So many aspects of the room are so impressive. From the chandelier to the mesquite bar top to the 18 foot fireplace that is the perfect focal point for your sweetheart table. Other than the inarguable beauty of the venue, the staff and food is much to admire. Every vendor that we hired was so ecstatic to hear our wedding was being held at the barn. They love the venue and the staff! And we agree! The staff, especially Hanna, our wedding coordinator, were exceptional! They made us feel like royalty! All staff was so kind, attentive, and accommodating. AND THE FOOD!! Usually wedding banquet food is nothing to even mention. But the food at the ranch is exquisite! Countless wedding guests complimented the food!! We could not have had a more magical and perfect wedding! We have the Tanque Verde Ranch to thank! Can't wait to celebrate all our anniversaries to come. I can guarantee many of them will be spent at the ranch! Thank you!! -

We cannot say enough positive things about TVR as a wedding venue. We had originally scheduled with them in May 2020 but then rescheduled for September 2022. We did have some snafus regarding the contract and they asked us to re-sign, - I think we paid a little more and got a little less, but they did keep our food/beverage prices the same and they comp-ed the honeymoon suite, so it worked out well enough in the end. For the money we spent, we are very happy with what we received.
We had our ceremony at Cactus View, our reception in Saguaro Room, and these two areas really made the wedding. We didn’t need many flowers and our centerpieces were cobbled together at Home Depot/Michael’s (terra cotta pots with cacti plus hurricane vases filled with sand and cacti/candles), plus we splurged on some uplighting for the room and cake. We re-purposed ceremony florals and the room looked INCREDIBLE. Of course the natural beauty of Cactus View was all that was really needed for the ceremony (plus chuppah and minimal flowers). We planned for a sunset wedding (ceremony starting 45 minutes before sunset), but given the heat if we had to do it again, we'd probably start the ceremony AT sunset instead of before - I'm sure the string lights would've looked fantastic with some uplighting of the arbor.
The staff was incredible - Hanna did great at coordinating and the support staff (driving golf carts, room service, etc…) were hands down the nicest and most down-to-earth people I have ever met in the service industry.
Food was phenomenal. Prior to the weekend we went out to eat at several Tucson restaurants and so the bar was set pretty high, but TVR nailed it. TVR had estimated a higher alcohol bill, but the final bill came in lower than expected.
The Saguaro Room is on the smaller size so it is perfect for making an intimate reception seem more grandiose (we had 75 or so guests). We had initially invited 120 and I imagine the room may have felt VERY full with that number. The dance floor was small, but that kind of worked for us because we’re not a big group of dancers. -

Tanque Verde Ranch is such an incredible location for a wedding!
We fell in love with the barn after the first time we toured it and each time we visited over the year of planning we were more and more excited about our decision. Our wedding day was perfect! The ceremony backdrop with the Saguaro National Park is breathtaking, the Barn lawn with string lights and desert landscape is beautiful and the variety of spots across the ranch made incredible photo locations.
It was not only the beautiful ranch that made our wedding day so wonderful, but the entire TVR staff. We had the pleasure of working with Hanna over the past year. She was beyond helpful and amazing to work with. Very professional, knowledgeable, responsive, and really good at what she does! Hanna made the planning process so smooth with her attention to detail, the information she provided, checklists, and all advice. From the initial steps in planning, to the rehearsal, and the day of, we were so thankful to have Hanna's support bringing everything together. All of the staff we worked with were extremely nice, helpful and professional. Dan the shuttle driver, Greg during the reception, and the bartenders, we couldn't have asked for a better team. They truly make sure you and your guest are taken care of throughout the day!
The food was incredible and even 2 weeks after our wedding, we are still getting messages about the incredible appetizers, delicious dinner options, and late night food! If you are looking for an exceptional wedding venue, with plenty of space, indoor/outdoor options, perfect desert views, and an all star team, we HIGHLY recommend Tanque Verde Ranch!! -

Amazing venue
We are so so happy that we chose Tanque Verde Ranch as our venue!! We fell in love with the setting and backdrop at the Barn, but what made our wedding day experience so amazing and seamless was the staff. In booking with TVR, we were able to have an assigned wedding coordinator who answered all of our questions patiently and made sure everything ran smoothly. She even took a few hours to steam my wedding dress and the bridesmaids’ dresses for us on the day of the wedding. You absolutely do not need to hire a separate wedding planner if you book with TVR, and we felt so lucky for that! Additionally, lots of the vendors in the area were familiar with TVR and each other from previous weddings and this helped things to go smoothly too. The ranch was very accommodating to our special requests (I played a video as a surprise during the reception) and overall just an absolute pleasure to work with. Also the food was really good! Most of our guests were from out of town and the ranch gave them such a fun experience. I really can’t say enough about how happy we are!! You will not regret booking!! -

Look no further, you have found the perfect wedding venue to get married at. I can not express my gratitude enough, thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this day what I had always dreamed of since I was a little girl. I got to live my fairytale dream!
I signed a contract to get married at the Barn at Tanque Verde Ranch in 2019 before COVID started and before the Barn was even built. The first time I saw the barn built, I could not even believe what I was seeing, they exceeded my expectations and it is so beautiful. I, like many other brides, had to postpone my wedding due to COVID. I could not have asked for the process to be smoother. They were understanding and willing to help in whatever way they could. I worked with two wedding coordinators (one who opted to start her own business and left the ranch and Hanna Pease) throughout my time with them, I do not have one bad thing to say about either of them. I only can continue to rave about the superior service I received. Without the help I received from them and the rest of the ranch, my wedding would not have been as spectacular as it was. Tanque Verde was a true partner at my side with me every step of the way. They could not have been more supportive or understanding. The ranch is beautiful! The barn is beautiful! The food is amazing and the staff does anything they can to go above and beyond. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. -

We absolutely loved everything about having our wedding at the barn. First, both the ranch and the barn itself are beautiful. Most of our guests had never been to a desert wedding before and loved it. Second, all of the staff we worked with (especially Nicole who was our primary contact) at the ranch were friendly, thoughtful, and meticulous. We had to postpone our wedding because of covid, and they helped us through the planning process, and made sure our various covid concerns were addressed. The barn opens almost entirely on one side which means it has great airflow, and the venues at the ranch where we had our auxiliary events were all outside (Cottonwood Grove and Rincon Terrace). The staff all wore masks, and we were able to have staff serve food at the events where we had a buffet. Tucson was a destination wedding for us, and we were able to do all of the planning remotely.
On the day of the wedding, the ranch staff handled shuttling us around the property numerous times, and made sure we had transportation to and from sunset photos. They made sure we (bride & groom) ate during cocktail hour, helped with the bustle on my dress, and cleaned and decorated the bridal suite for us while we were at the reception. Also, the food at our rehearsal dinner, wedding reception, and post-wedding brunch were all delicious. We had multiple comments from guests about this.
Another plus of having our wedding at Tanque Verde Ranch was that all the other Tucson vendors we worked with were very familiar with it. Our florist, cake, and makeup vendors all knew exactly how to set up and where to go.
We would 100% recommend having your wedding at Tanque Verde Ranch. -

Nicole at Tanque Verde was a dream to work with. We had a lot of particularities with our Jewish wedding, including kosher needs and differing requests related to beverage packages, and Nicole was always kind, generous, and helpful with us acheiving our vision while staying within our means. We realized quickly it is rare to find vendors that are willing to be honest with you about how to achieve what you want while staying within your budget, and Nicole (and TVR) was one of them. They were helpful in switching our date once COVID hit as well. We met Quinn closer to our date, but the two of them really helped execute our perfect wedding. Thank you so much! -

My husband and I were blessed enough to be able to use The Barn at Tanque Verde Ranch for our wedding on May 8, 2021. Tanque Verde went above and beyond with everything. To start, the view and facility are already breathtaking, so very minimal decor was actually needed. The food provided by the venue was delicious, we still get praise from our wedding guests. Our day of coordinator was on top of every detail. Nicole was like a ninja the day of, everything went perfectly. Very few things actually went wrong. If I had not heard on the drivers walkie talkie I would never have known that the groomsmen forgot their boutonnieres in the groom's suite. To top that, Nicole was very responsive, and extremely patient with my almost every other day email (for 18 months) saying that I had thought of another 5-10 questions. She also worked diligently to ensure that every one in the wedding party that wanted to stay on site, was able to do so. Every woman imagines her dream wedding, because of Tanque Verde Ranch, the staff, and Nicole, I got to have mine. -

Nothing but amazing

We did a lot of research, A LOT! Called, emailed and toured with over a dozen different places. The second my husband and I stepped onto the Tanque Verde Ranch (TVR) property we knew this was the place we wanted to get married. Our wedding was postponed twice due to COVID-19 but we were finally able to get married this August at the Barn Venue. Throughout all the reschedules and changes, all the TVR staff were absolutely amazing.
We have been together for over 11 years, so we have been able to observe and learn from many of our friends and family that married before us. TVR was able to offer us everything we could possibly want. We had the most stunning venue, most friendly staff, best vendor team, best tasting food and drinks, and best of all - 75% of our guests stayed with us onsite at TVR. It was so fun each day seeing our friends and family at breakfast and walking around the property. We really wanted to provide a fun experience for all our guests that was more than just the 5 hour wedding. All our guests raved to us about how much fun they had hiking, horseback riding, swimming, visiting the saloon and more! I know many of them will be back to visit again.
I can't say enough about how amazing the staff at TVR are. So friendly, knowledgeable, kind and professional. Our point person was originally Sarah Detmer who we absolutely love! She was patient and thorough, I always had full faith in her and knew she would not miss a thing. It was very bittersweet when she told us she would be leaving TVR to start her own business. We wish her the best and definitely recommend her to anyone interested in event planning services! Luckily, after Sarah left, Hanna Pease stepped right in and helped take us to the finish line! And oh boy did she do incredible. She did not miss a beat, she was so professional and friendly and was able to manage every little detail with such grace. There were definitely some last minute scares, 2 vendors changed last minute with COVID, several guests backed out, and crazy whether the day of causing TVR staff to have to constantly reset and wipe down tables and chairs. Despite all these hiccups, Hanna made us feel like we had nothing to worry about, she helped us work out everything and made the wedding go off without any issues. Hanna is a rockstar and TVR is so lucky to have her, thank you so much Hanna!!! Also special shout out to Quinn, she helped Hanna and was also so talented and friendly the entire time. Thanks for your patience and expertise in managing all the room blocks.
If you are considering TVR for a wedding, corporate retreat, family reunion or anything at all, just do it! I promise you will not be disappointed. There is no place like it. Coming from two AZ natives who are used to seeing beautiful desert landscapes, TVR offers a very unique experience. Key Takeaways: 1 - TVR feels like a remote picturesque location but your 20 minutes from a store in case you forgot anything! 2 - Although the property is historic and full of neat stories, it is also completely updated and the rooms are very modern and comfortable. 3 - You will find no better team, the staff is what makes the experience memorable, you can tell they care about your experience treating you like family.

Working with TVR was a dream come true (without sounding too cliché). My husband and I got married May 2021 right after the vaccine was more widely distributed, but still universal hesitancy about covid & understanding protocols. Nicole and the TVR staff made sure we were very comfortable with our decisions, shepherding us through a really tough time and even serving as an unintentional counselor at times ha! (as if wedding planning isn't hard enough!). The extra value in their services is how much they really do want you and your family/guests to have a good experience. Nicole is EXTREMELY patient- my family can have a LOT of questions (rightfully so) but ensured we had everything exactly as we wanted. All our guests were able to get a hold of a real human at TVR and ask any questions they had about their stay and the views/entertainment they might want to experience. We had a lot of guests feel like they really had a vacation and wedding all in one as it's so relaxing on the ranch.
We got married at The Barn and boy is it stunning. Worth every penny. The waitstaff is exceptional and is so kind, too. I really feel like TVR is a second home- everyone is very welcoming and felt like a friend. Our guests were so impressed and I can't wait to spend some anniversaries there.
Do yourself a favor and make the easiest choice of your wedding planning process and choose TVR. -

I love Tanque Verde Ranch so much; I got married there TWICE! (same husband, though). We had a micro wedding in June 2020 that we originally were going to do on Mt. Lemmon, but that was on fire. We had a small ceremony and private dinner in the Board Room that was perfect and very socially distanced. This is perfect for the couple looking for something small and private.
We then recently had a big wedding at The Barn. And let me tell you, there was drama, but every single staff member was a ROCK STAR. It was raining, and the road was flooded. I didn't even know yet, but they already had staff ferrying my vendors across. We had to move the rehearsal dinner inside, and they made it so great, even though it was disappointing not to have the Cottonwood Grove. They even vacuumed the water off the chairs twice the day of, so my guests didn't have to sit in wet chairs. We still had our ceremony outside, but they did a great job of helping our guests stay dry by keeping them inside while they arrived.
Every guest was so impressed by the Ranch, and it was such a plus to have people stay on site (especially with the road flooding!). Pro-tip: the rooms are actually adjoining! We booked the two suites adjacent to the bridal suite, and it was so nice to have two extra bathrooms and lots of space to spread out, plus a living room we could keep clean for pictures.
The venue is gorgeous, but the staff really make your wedding experience incredible. From the Catering team to every other department, everyone was so nice, welcoming, and genuinely focused on making sure our wedding weekend went perfectly. I had food poisoning on my wedding day and was so sick, but the banquet captain wrapped up my delicious meal so I could eat it later and the waitstaff was really concerned about me. I appreciated so much that they cared!
I am so happy I had both of my weddings at the Ranch. Even though a monsoon storm could have ruined my wedding, it was still the best weekend. The communication, attention to detail, and care the Ranch staff put into their events really shows and I highly recommend any couple go with them -

Sarah and the entire staff at Tanque Verde Ranch was phenomenal. From the first site tour through 3 postponements over the last year, she was attentive and wonderful through it all. She was extremely responsive through my many, many emails and questions and always had calm and helpful answers. The entire wedding day was seamless and stress free making it everything we hoped it would be and more! The Barn is the most beautiful venue we’ve ever seen and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience all around. Beautiful, Desert Venue
I could not be happier with my wedding experience, and I am thankful for Sarah and the Tanque Verde Ranch team for helping it be that way. Sarah's accountability and organization made my wedding planning and execution exactly what I wanted it to be while minimizing any stress, She makes the planning another fun event in the wedding process and makes me as a bride just enjoy the ride.
The venue itself was surreal in its beauty. We had multiple people tell us the backdrop of cactus view (where we had the ceremony) almost looked fake it was so beautiful. We were able to incorporate the incredible Tucson desert on our day and had the most lovely photos. The ceremony and reception felt intimate, though not at all cramped, as we have experienced in other wedding venues, The food was fantastic and the prickly pear margaritas were definitely my favorite. All in all, I could not be more happy with this fantastic venue. -

TLDR: If you’re looking for a stunning desert venue with an amazing staff and delicious food, Tanque Verde Ranch is your place. We couldn’t have dreamed of a more beautiful wedding.
It’s difficult to put into words how the team at Tanque Verde Ranch made our wedding absolutely incredible. Their professionalism and attention to detail are beyond expectations. The venue itself is stunning and offers unique, Southwestern scenery that our 85 out-of-town guests were in awe over. We loved transitioning from Cactus View for the ceremony and cocktail hour, to Desert View Terrace for dinner, and then sparklers before cake and dancing in the Saguaro Room. The variety of venue options keeps the reception fresh with guests experiencing new spaces throughout the evening. We received countless compliments on the venue and delicious food, and guests loved the prickly pear margaritas passed around after the ceremony. Shoutout to Denise for always being a friendly face at the bar! And to the TVR banquet staff for being attentive to us as the bride and groom, and to all our guests. They made sure we ate by providing a plate of hors d’oeuvres for our marriage license signing following the ceremony, and by walking us through the buffet line at the beginning of dinner. Eating at your wedding is not a problem here. Finally, the cherry on top to our dream of a wedding was returning to our bridal suite filled with candles, rose petals, champagne and chocolate strawberries. I mentioned this before, but the thoughtfulness and attention to detail here are truly amazing.
Now, from the bride’s individual perspective: Sarah Lee and her team are some of the most wonderful people I’ve worked with. They were so professional and responsive throughout the entire planning process. I’m very Type A when it comes to event planning and, for once, was able to let go of control and let Sarah and her team handle everything the day-of. They really did handle everything: setting up our decor and potted-plant centerpieces, keeping the timeline on track and working with our photographers, DJ, baker and guitarist so they knew where to be the day-of. I also recommend finding vendors who are familiar with the venue for peace of mind (photos by Betsy & John Photography). It was truly special to feel 100% confident letting go of the logistics and simply enjoy my wedding. Sarah and the TVR team were so on top of things and created a magical celebration. My perfect dream "Hey Dude" Ranch Wedding
Sarah Lee, the Sales Manager, and her team at the Tanque Verde Ranch (TVR) have such incredible passion for not only their profession and the ranch itself, but a love affair for creating, planning, and capturing the perfect wedding day.
I never dreamed that I would be getting married at the same magical dude ranch that my favorite childhood show on Nickelodeon, "Hey Dude" was filmed at back in the late 80's, early 90s. TVR has everything and more.
In October 2018, I was on a mission to find and book a destination wedding venue for the following year, considering I was less than two months away from a military deployment overseas. That is when I first connected with Sarah Lee. My entire experience to include not only the wedding day itself, October 13, 2019, but leading up to it was simply flawless in communication, planning, coordination, and execution. Sarah and her team removed any stress from having to plan a wedding from 7,000 miles away and were directly responsible for giving me my perfect dude ranch wedding. I consider Sarah Lee and the staff at TVR to be lifelong friends because of this.

Truly spectacular, look no further
Where to even begin? When my fiancé and I began our destination wedding venue search a little over a year ago, we felt a bit of paralysis by analysis: where could we choose that would have a friendly and welcoming environment, be relatively easy to get to, and which venue would truly want to help us create the wedding of our dreams?
Once we paid a visit to TVR and met with Sarah Lee, everything seemed to click so perfectly - not only is the ranch a STUNNING setting, but Sarah herself and the entire staff (Hanna, Mary Ellen, basically anyone who we came into contact with) truly blew us away with their genuine care and professionalism. We knew we’d found our venue.
Over the course of the past year, that decision has been affirmed and reaffirmed multiple times as the right one; from the quick email responses and guidance to this out-of-town couple, to helping us think through our vision to always being compassionately candid and thoughtful, Sarah and the TVR crew enabled us to create the wedding our dreams, and have a ton of fun along the way. In fact, I barely recall us ever feeling stressed about anything, because with one reassuring outreach or response from Sarah, we were reminded we were in great, capable, and caring hands, and her expertise helped us solve basically any potential issue with zero pain or friction.

Tanque Verde Ranch served as the wedding venue of our dreams! We could not recommend this venue more highly for any and every special event! Upon first visit to the ranch, we were blown away by the sheer beauty of the grounds. Sarah Lee and Hannah, our event coordinators, impressed us with their steadfast kindness, continuous guidance and support, and constant professionalism. They also act as your onsite, day-of wedding coordinators and helped to ensure that our wedding day was seamless. The spaces were set up and decorated immaculately by the staff. Our guests could not stop raving about the beauty of the venue and the delicious, gourmet food!
The desert scenery of Tanque Verde Ranch also served as the most beautiful backdrop for stunning photographs. We took our bride and groom portraits up near the "Old Homestead" with sweeping views of mountains, open sky, and majestic saguaros. We selected Cactus View as our ceremony site, Rincon Terrace for cocktail hour, and Saguaro Room for our reception – all such wonderful spaces the ranch offers.
Tanque Verde Ranch felt like a destination getaway for our out-of-town guests staying on the property and our local friends and family alike! As part of our wedding package, we were also able to select a ranch activity to do together. We chose to go horseback riding! It was my husband’s first time ever on a horse, and it was so much fun. We held our rehearsal dinner for out-of-town family/friends at the Saturday night Cowboy Cookout. It was a fantastic spread of BBQ fare, a cowboy singer, and firepits with s’mores. It truly set the scene for our wedding weekend.
Tanque Verde Ranch has our hearts. We are finding excuses to go back and visit the Dog House Saloon for a prickly pear margarita and a round of pool before heading down to the cookout to reminisce about the best weekend of our lives! Thank you, TVR! Do yourself a favor and get married here. It will be the best choice you’ll ever make (besides choosing your significant other to spend forever with, of course). -

Let’s talk about first impressions - I called TVR on a whim just to see if I could walk around and look as a potential bride. I was not asking for a tour since I had not scheduled one and the immediate answer was, “Let us see if someone can take you around!”. That was definitely not the answer I expected, I just wanted to make sure it was okay if I walked around the grounds (totally would have been) by myself to see if I liked it. The Director of Sales, Mary Ellen, took about 1 ½-2 hours out of her day to give me the full tour of TVR, which was so kind and generous ESPECIALLY when I did not have an appointment! Based on my first impression of how beautiful all of TVR is and the helpfulness of everybody, I wanted to get married there! It also fit my and my husband’s (YAY) vibe of outdoorsy/desert-y.
The MVP of all time is Sarah Lee, Sales Manager. She and I were in contact throughout all the planning of my wedding. She always responded to my emails thoroughly and promptly. Especially the the week/weeks leading up to the wedding we were talking a LOT about all the little details and she was just so amazing and on top of it, helping me with MANY THINGS that I had not even thought of (thank GOSH).
The room block that comes with having a wedding there is nice, it DOES get released 1 month prior to the wedding, so I would suggest letting all your guests know about it a couple months in advance so that everyone who wants a room is able to get one. Our wedding was at the beginning of February so all the people coming in for the Gem show were coming in and there was another event the night off which booked up most of the rooms when it got announced, so make sure all your peoples have a room about 2-3 months in advance! I also booked my room for Friday night prior to the wedding, so that I could just wake up and be there and it was absolutely worth it.
Getting married at Tanque Verde was like a dream. The bridal suite is fantastic (the mountain views are ammazzinng!) and the whole area is just so fantastically beautiful. We got married at Cactus View (MY FAVORITE) and they have taken out the tennis court right next to it, so now it is a lovely open lawn instead of a tennis court and it looks AMAZING. I loved that the food was included in the wedding package because it was so nice to not have to find a caterer. PLUS the food is absolutely DELICIOUS. The reception was in the Saguaro room and it was so beautiful in there! The cocktail hour was on the front lawn and the wedding guests got to see the horses turned out!
There are so many special touches that TVR helped add to the wedding day in addition to their amazing staff and the gorgeous location. I would recommend anyone that wants a beautiful, desert wedding to get married here. The only thing I had to do on my wedding day was getting ready and taking pictures and getting married, and that was it! I did not lift a finger to do anything, it was the best, most relaxing morning I could have imagined for our wedding day. I cannot recommend them enough for weddings, it was a truly amazing experience! -

TVGR is the epitome of the authentic southwest. From the drive to the base of the mountains, to the horse stables and corral, the beautiful and unique décor, and the hospitality of the staff. My jaw literally dropped for a solid minute when I walked into the bridal suite the morning of our wedding. I was blown away. Our ceremony was absolutely stunning, cocktail hour was picturesque, and the dining rooms/ dance floor set up were amazing as well. This place has all the feels of a horse ranch with modern amenities. Initial meetings with the staff, seeing the venue, completing our tastings were completely seamless. Sarah, the venue coordinator, was super detailed, very personable, and approachable. My wedding planner even said that they were very hands on and involved. Day of set up was immaculate, everything was completed on time or ahead of schedule. It was as though tables, chairs, and lawn games, etc appeared from thin air. Sarah and her staff were extremely stealthy and very efficient. After hearing my friends experience with their wedding day (at other venues), I went in with the expectation that somethings were not going to go as planned and I was going to have to go with the flow. The day of the wedding was a dream. Literally nothing went wrong. N O T H I N G. Everything was executed at perfection. They are extremely professional. Apps, cocktails, and dinner was amazing. All our guests raved about the food. The chef and rest of the team were incredible in their preparation and timeliness. All the dishes not only tasted delicious but looked #FoodPorn worthy. Staff was 11 out of 10. Everyone was extremely courteous and attentive. The one area for improvement and really the only thing we would ‘ding’ TVGR would be in their communication about the room block. We were supposed to have 10 additional rooms added to our block after our initial block was full, but this did not happen. We were also not informed of the ranch hosting another event the same day as ours which consumed a large number of rooms. This was communicated to us by one of our guests who was unable to book a room. We were caught off guard and surprised. TVGR uses a 3rd party company to handle their reservations and I suspect this was the root of the miscommunication. Our other interactions with the 3rd party company when booking rooms for our family were terrible. They were not knowledgeable or helpful and they were just plain rude. In the end, Sarah was really helpful in fixing this mistake and in securing excess rooms that were made available after the other event canceled some of their rooms. This allowed additional wedding guests to stay at our venue.
Overall, I have to give Tanque Verde Guest Ranch a 5 out of 5, even with the room block mishap. If that is the only thing that went wrong out of the entire year of planning our wedding including the wedding day itself, then TVGR deserves 10 out of 5 stars! They really worked with us closely to make sure the day was exactly what we wanted. After initially visiting several resorts and other locations when searching for our wedding venue, we knew that TVGR was the right place for us because of the intimate and more personal experience that TVGR offered compared to the more commercialized and impersonal vibe we got from the rest of the resorts we visited. We are so happy with our decision to get married at TVGR and would 100 % recommend TVGR to anyone looking for the perfect wedding venue. -

My wedding with Tanque Verde Guest Ranch was executed perfectly. The entire staff was helpful and supportive since our first consultation.
The food is FANTASTIC. You can’t find better food anywhere else. The chefs do amazing work and are willing to work with their dishes if there’s an allergy.
The venue itself is beautiful and well kept. There are beautiful views. Beautiful rooms. Beautiful everything. My guests were so happy to stay on such a beautiful property.
Sarah Lee is your go-to person. She handles everything for you and makes wedding planning a breeze. There’s no one else I’d rather have than her helping me plan my wedding. Everything went smoothly and according to plan.
Hands down the best wedding venue you could get. -

My daughters wedding was at the ranch just this month, October 13, 2018. From the minute she visited the ranch to the end of our special weekend, there was never a doubt that we had picked the perfect place for her wedding!
Sarah Lee and her staff were a joy to work with, as were the entire ranch staff. Our family and friends couldn't say enough nice things about the staff and how friendly and attentive they were. There we no hidden costs or surprises; everything was up front and explained ahead of time, and the food at both the rehersal dinner and wedding was delicious.
My daughter picked the venue largely based on the outdoor spaces and the majesty of the surrounding desert and mountains. She is a Tucson girl, so this was very important to her. Unfortunately, the weather this month has been unusually rainy and we ended up moving the wedding ceremony and dinner inside due to rain. This transition happened at the last minute as we wanted to give mother nature every opportunity to cooperate. I have to say that Sarah and her staff made this transition seamless and the inside space was absolutely beautiful! I am so grateful that they were there and knew just what to do to make the ceremony just as beautiful inside as it would've been outside. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
I can't say enough good things about Tanque Verde Ranch and I hope we get the chance for another celebration there in the near future!

Okay, first, Sarah is a godsend. Not only was she so professional, and ON TOP of everything, she is an awesome woman who does everything in her power to make sure your day is as perfect as possible. The Ranch is just absolutely beautiful, but our guests were blown away by the beauty that weekend. We had planned an outside ceremony/cocktails/dinner, but unfortunately mother nature decided to make a few changes. So, it poured my entire wedding day hahaha, but everyone at the Ranch knew how badly I wanted an outside wedding, so they waited until the very last minute to make the call to move everything indoors. Plan B was in full-effect. I was disappointed at first, but soon realized they did such a special job at making everything gorgeous for Plan B. Every detail was accounted for. In fact, most of our guests didn't even know that what they attended was Plan B! The food was great, although I wish I would have ate more of it! We had the rehearsal dinner in Cottonwood Grove, on Ranch property, which was phenomenal as well. Ultimately, even though nothing went according to my plan that day, everyone at the Ranch knew exactly what to do, and everything was absolutely perfect! If I could do it over again, I wouldn't change a thing -

Lindsey Sent on 06/30/2018I have struggled to write this review and attempted multiple times but the review keeps ending up WAY too long, but I am not sure how to adequately convey just how much Tanque Verde Ranch, Mary Ellen, and Sarah Lee did for our wedding. BOOK TVR FOR YOUR WEDDING. That is the gist of what I am getting at. They accommodated our entire "rowdy" group of 140 for basically an entire weekend extravaganza and went above and beyond to serve us and keep everyone more happy. As we were told on our tour of the ranch, our guests will talk about our wedding for a very long time and say it was the best wedding they've ever been too (which you would think everyone says that), but genuinely people already can not stop talking about our wedding. Everyone had a blast even with 110 degree days. I didn't even need a wedding planner or coordinator when I was planning out of state because Mary Ellen and Sarah Lee did so much. We didn't have a food tasting but Sarah made us feel confident that the food is great (Which our brief tour backed that up) and people are still raving about our food from the wedding and Friday Welcome dinner still a month later! The entire ranch is so unique and almost feels ALMOST like a luxurious summer camp when you're there with all of your closest family and friends. We would give anything to have our wedding again and not one single detail would we change. You can bet we will be there once a year from now. We owe so much to Mary Ellen and Sarah, that I almost don't even know what to say. I toured and researched many different venues in Washington and Tucson and not one other venue was as confident or organized in how they run things like them and it definitely showed at the wedding. Sarah and Mary Ellen both were SO quick to respond to e-mails and I also need to give a HUGE shout out Kyle and serving team who ends up running the show for weddings when there are large groups. He was one of the nicest people and kept everything perfect. Thank you TVR!!! -

Adriana Sent on 04/25/2018As a transplant from Los Angeles I had high expectations when scouting for wedding venues in Tucson/Phoenix (currently reside in Tucson). My main goal was to find a venue that offered both expansive unobstructed views of the desert coupled with several chic event spaces...and Tanque Verde Guest Ranch exceeded all of our expectations. If you want nothing short of spectacular then Tanque Verde Guest Ranch is your best bet. First of all, this desert chic Ranch is nestled 30 minutes outside of the city in a saguaro forest which gives you an insanely gorgeous setting in every direction. Second, the entire staff operates as if you're at the Four Seasons, they understand true customer service and all of your guests will never want to leave. Third and most importantly, you get Mary Ellen McBee and her team. She is the Director of Sales at the ranch and she will go above and beyond and then some. Her professionalism is outstanding and will treat your wedding as if it was her own. Her execution is impeccable and she has a solution for everything your bridezilla heart desires. In addition to that, the food at Tanque Verde Guest Ranch is amazing. Their Executive Chef Justin Macy is incredible and extremely creative. His vision and passion for excellence is outstanding. Tanque Verde Guest Ranch is extremely lucky to have Mary Ellen and her phenomenal team, she really puts Tucson on the map for destination weddings.

After reading the reviews, meeting with Sarah Lee, touring the venue and looking at all the pictures online, I had high hopes for my wedding at TVR. I was absolutely blown away with how everything went both on the big day and every day before planning. Sarah Lee and the whole TVR team far exceeded my expectations and I am SO glad we chose them for our wedding. Sarah Lee was so easy to work with, whether you’re a bride who wants to be hands on planning all the details, or have no clue what you’re doing and need a lot of help or guidance, she understands and works with you based on your needs. Sarah made the entire process as easy as it could possibly be. The food was outstanding, the sparkler send off was so much fun and turned out better than any other one I have ever been to at a wedding. TVR has my highest recommendation. Sometimes when a venue has the amazing asset of just being a location that sells it all, the staff can fall short - this is NOT the case at TVR. Not only is the entire ranch spectacular if you want a desert wedding, but the staff, and I mean every single one of them from the catering team, to the chef, to bartenders and the lodging staff - everyone goes above and beyond to make sure every detail is taken care of and that you feel like the most special person there. As soon as the wedding was over I immediately wanted to live it over again because it was just SO MUCH FUN! THANK YOU TVGR for the MOST AMAZING DAY of our lives!!!!!!!
