Amazing Experience!!
We hired Corey with Talent City to DJ our wedding and provide a photo booth. Corey was absolutely amazing to work with, he read the dancefloor to keep it full all night and was extremely accommodating when it came to all our special requests. Our guests received digital copies of the photo booth pictures as well as prints and online gallery. I highly recommend Corey and Talent City. -

We hired Corey to be a DJ for our August wedding and he was so wonderful to work with! He was extremely flexible when it came to creating music playlists and we could just tell that he was 100% committed to making our day go perfectly. Katie his wife ran the photo booth and was a lot of fun to work with as well. Very professional and affordable. Thank you so much for being part of our special day! -

Corey & Chris DJs were more than we could ever ask for! Their music selection was exactly what we were looking for. The lights were tasteful but still created the right atmosphere we wanted. While the music was incredibly important, Corey & Chris's personalities were what made them the perfect choice. They were more than just the DJs, they became guests at the wedding. They bonded with our guests, they bonded with us, and we currently have a picture of the bride, groom, Corey, and DJ framed in our house! The only thing we noticed that could have been improved was the microphone volume in the beginning. Our guests had a hard time hearing what was going on during the first few dances. However, once we mentioned that to Corey, they raised the volume and everything else ran perfectly. We seriously couldn't have gotten a better DJ! -

My husband and I booked DJ Chris Hodson with Talent City Artists and I cannot recommend him enough! We booked him for our ceremony, reception, and a photo booth! We had an online portal that helped us to plan timelines and give song requests. DJ Chris was incredibly responsive with emails and we set up a phone call a week before the wedding and he gave suggestions and support for us. On the day of the wedding, he had everything set up for us and we did not have to worry about a thing! We had printed photos and they even gave us a photo book of all of the pictures that people took! Such a great company and DJ to work with! -

Joe and Kamil are incredible, their work is incredible, and I could don't be more grateful to have him with me for two days during our wedding celebrations. I took a risk, in my mind, hiring Talent City Artists. I hadn't really seen a lot of their work with South-Asian weddings and wasn't sure if someone who hadn't worked with those types of weddings would be able to capture the little moments of our two days. I was WRONG. They were amazing from the moment he stepped foot into our doors and started working. He was wonderful to be around, and you can tell from his work that he truly loves what he does. If you are even thinking about hiring him, go, run! You will be so happy you did! -

Kamil is such a great person to work with! Very professional! He captured amazing photos of us! Exellent at directing us while shooting! Very prompt at answering emails and/or text messages. We also rented her photo booth and everyone loved that as well! Pictures go directly to the number typed in right after a photo and you also get all the photos emailed to you plus a link on Facebook to share with your friends and family! Definitely recommend His services! -

DJ Corey was absolutely wonderful to work with! He had great reviews and my friend also had him for her wedding. Exceptionally well organized with great preplanning. We felt like he knew us and gave us the music we liked. Having a wedding during a pandemic was tough to get people dancing but they spread out and had a great time with the music he chose. He even got guests riled up playing our College Fight song! It is very clear that he has extensive experience in the wedding industry with lots of tips to make sure you enjoy the experience but get everything done that you want to. Don’t hesitate to book him!! -

Talent City Artists absolutely nailed it at our wedding. My wife and I were very concerned about finding a DJ that could balance the melting pot that is our family and friends. We wanted a DJ that could balance Latin music, old school hip-hop (our personal favorite), classic motown disco and all the radio tracks we've listen to throughout our planning process. We got this and more, the mixing was fluid and energetic and all the formalities were handle professionally. Darrell was very easy to work with and catered to all our requests and needs. We had Chris for our wedding and he was awesome. He called the week of the wedding to go over all the details with me and was very thorough. Whenever I had a question, the staff was super responsive, even on Sundays and holidays. The service was so good some of my guests booked them for their wedding next year. The acoustics were great and our guests were raving about how much fun they had! They have a lot of experience, which made me feel at ease. -

What can we say? We LOVED our wedding reception thanks in huge part to DJ Chris and the Talent City Artists team! From day one of working with Talent City, it was smooth sailing. They answered my millions of questions and set my type-A personality at ease! The online tools made selecting our music and making a timeline super easy. All of our guests continue to tell us how much FUN they had at our wedding and we couldn't agree more! The dance floor was packed the entire night with our favorite songs being played. I know we were both on the dance floor the majority of the night. My feet were swollen for two days after! Haha Totally worth it! Now when we hear a song that was played at our wedding we turn to each other and smile! Exactly what we were looking for in our wedding DJ. We had the BEST day. Thank you so much to the entire Talent City Artists team, and especially DJ Chris, for making our day so incredible. DJ Chris did an amazing job and kept the dance floor full and fun all night long! I'm so happy with how everything turned out, the songs were amazing, he did a great job announcing the special dances, cake cutting, photo ops, etc. I couldn't be happier. The online system was so easy for my husband and I to fill out with songs we loved/liked/disliked and DJ Chris did the best job incorporating all of this into his set. I also wanted to thank Talent City Artists for helping me find my dance song with my Dad! We always have loved the song "Sweet Child of Mine" but Guns & Roses isn't exactly a great slow dance song... Chris from Talent City researched and found the perfect slow version & it made for the perfect Dad/Daughter dance. I absolutely recommend Talent City to all my friends who are in the wedding planning process & to all of you! -

I'm a wedding officiant & master hair stylist in Chicago and recently referred Talent City Artists to perform at one of my clients daughters weddings. They provided Video, Photo Booth, Ceremony Pianist, DJ and lighting services at Chateau Busche in Alsip. Corey and his team did an amazing job and even had the video edit completed for my friends in under a week after the wedding. I highly recommend Talent City Artists for all wedding services they provide. -

Talent City Artists Photography made me feel so comfortable on my Wedding day. 'Comfortable' because I knew that they would not only get the job done (punctual, professional, great quality, etc.) but comfortable in the sense that I was working with true artists.
I felt at such peace working with them prior to my big day because they walked me through everything step-by-step and I always felt freedom because they wanted what I wanted. I feel like it is rare today to find professionals with true heart and talent behind every inch of their work.
Kim and Corey were amazing to work with- they captured every beautiful moment of our day and turned our photos into masterpieces that I will cherish forever. I'll never go anywhere else after experiencing what they can do."
As far as the DJ services, we actually hired them as well. Our DJ was Christophe. We didn't find out until our wedding that they are actually husband and wife. It made the night much smoother knowing how well the two of them worked together and they ran a tight ship. Christophe had our dance floor packed all night and the guests are still raving about him months later.
I highly recommend Christophe, Corey & Kim for your wedding, they are an amazing team. -

We couldn't be happier with the professionalism and results, we highly recommend Talent City.
DJ Christophe did an exceptional job with the music at my wedding he helped create a memorable night with a diverse crowd and a very unique, fun vibe. It was amazing to see our families letting loose, dancing, mingling and connecting to each other through music and celebration.
My Husband is from India and Christophe new Bollywood Bhangra and Raas. We were surprised and during our initial meeting with Talent City we learned they have done weddings for almost every ethnicity on earth so we felt very comfortable using them. After talking to Corey further we found out they offer Photography, Photo Booth and Video too so we used them for that and were extremely pleased with our pictures. We couldn't be happier with the professionalism and results, we highly recommend Talent City. -

They went far and beyond the call of duty for wedding vendors!!!
Right from our first meeting, Corey, John & Jake from Talent City 'got' us and exactly the sort of photography, video and DJ service we were after for our wedding.
When our wedding venue cancelled, They went far and beyond the call of duty for wedding vendors, and Corey called us with a list of 6 venues they thought we might like, based on our conversations - we later ended up booking one and absolutely adored it., They were unobtrusive, friendly and fun, and put all of our guests at ease too, and we love all the photos - as evidenced by us not making any changes or removing any photos from our online and physical albums and our dance floor was packed all night. Not only are these guys incredibly good at what they do, they're fabulous people - in short, everything you could wish for in wedding pros! -

First Rate Services-One Stop Shop
I recently used this company for my twin boys 18th birthday party last spring at Crafted in Plainfield and they did such an amazing job with the DJ, Lighting & Karaoke that we decided to book them for our daughters wedding this year at The Patrick Haley Mansion. Again the Talent City team knocked it out of the park. The photography was superb and the ceremony musicians were delightful. We even had Blake Alexander and Corey Sanford as the DJ/Singer duo to rock the reception and the owners wife is an officiant. This crew can DO IT ALL! The best part about bundling all the services with them under one roof was that we saved huge with all the discounts they offer the more you spend. We highly recommend this group for any occasion. -

We used Talent City Artists for our wedding on December 30th, 2018 and it was the greatest decision we have made. Corey is so easy to work with and he is so great at getting guests to dance and have the time of their life. The online portal to make music selections is so easy to use and Corey is so on top of everything. He followed up with us prior to the wedding and everything went so smoothly because of all he did. He arrived early to the venue and provided us with wireless microphones. He has been doing this for a long time and he knew our venue well. He is truly a seasoned professional who I would love to work with again in the future. Thank you to Corey and Talent City Artists for making our wedding the best day ever! -

He was organized, planned with us several times prior to our Big Day on June 11, 2016 by meeting w/ us for music arrangements, Wedding Party name and script rehearsals, meeting our Catering manager at Le Meridien Hotel in Oakbrook and going over our music preferences & Photo montage /video ! I would recommend Corey to any new Bride to be and /or Groom for their wedding too

It's amazing to me that this vendor is still legally able to advertise on this platform. Corey is a scam artist. We sued him, won, and he now owes us $6K for services not rendered. There are plenty of vendors with integrity out there. This is not one. -

I signed a contract with Corey Sanford via Highland Preferred for a DJ package costing $2,200 for my wedding back in October of 2023. It was supposed to include sound systems for the ceremony and reception, wireless microphones, dance lights, and a Photo Booth/prints for 4 hours and complimentary up lighting valued at $400 for booking.
As I walked down the aisle after being announced husband and wife, I learned that my DJ never showed up. The Photo Booth was dropped off mid-day by someone and when my wedding coordinator asked about the ETA for my DJ, she was told that she’d make a phone call, then proceeded to leave my venue and ghost us. The wedding coordinator then called the DJ that I was told would be there and he said he was not working that day. She proceeded to call and email all contacts that we had for this company, only to be ignored by all.
After the wedding I was told that Corey Sanford was the person that I needed to discuss this issue with, as he was the business owner for the DJ company. I had a signed contract (with his signature) that clearly stated that if Highland Preferred was unable to provide a replacement, I would receive a refund within five days via certified check.
Corey was nearly impossible to get in touch with, but when we did get ahold of him, he lied over and over with one excuse after another. He repeatedly told us that the money was on its way, only for us to learn that was also a lie. He gave more excuses and a sob story about his life and being bankrupt that we have proof of being all lies. Corey is a crook and he knows it. He has no remorse for robbing people and moving on as if he’s untouchable.
We currently have legal action against him as we just want our money back for the service his company failed to provide on the biggest day of our lives. He has failed to acknowledge the lawsuit, hasn’t shown up for multiple court dates and is hiding from paying me what is legally mine.
STAY AWAY FROM ANYONE OR ANYTHING FINANCIALLY RELATED TO COREY SANFORD, TALENT CITY ARTISTS, HIGHLAND PREFERRED, THE EMERALD ACRES AND ROYAL WEDDING EVENTS . YOU WILL BE ROBBED AND HE WILL SHOW NO REMORSE.

Nallely Sent on 01/26/2024Corey and Talent City Artists should be ashamed of themselves. For starters, I am an October 2023 bride. I booked Corey back in 2022 for videography and photography services. I saw great reviews and went for it. I was severely wrong.
1. Corey never told me my photographer until the week of my wedding
2. Thankfully I trusted my gut feeling and hired another photographer for my wedding who did an amazing beautiful job.
3. I asked for my deposit back bc I did not go for TCA photographer due to unprofessionalism and not following up on multiple emails..Corey said yes he'll send it. Never did. It's about to be February. There's 500$ he kept for himself.
4. He told my nice videographer that I only want a highlight reel of my wedding, even though I bought a package that was my full wedding being recorded. He is very disorganized and fails to communicate anything.
5. He has had multiple employees quit.
6. My church mass was the most important aspect for my mom, which now I don't have memories to watch with her.
Don't book for the love of God. Save your money. His business is no good and I will never recommend him for anything. If I can give 0 stars I would. You have made other couples wedding nightmares come true. I now have no video of my wedding because of his ways. -

Ok, so where do I start… Unfortunately, I have to give Talent City Artists some sort of rating which is why I’m giving them 1 star. However, if I could give this man a zero, I would. I’m not going to say Corey ruined my wedding because I’m not going to let him take that from me.
The one and most HURTFUL thing Corey did.. My mom unfortunately was unable to attend our wedding due to a serious situation that ended her in the hospital. All a girl wants for their wedding is for their parents to be there. My family set it up for my mom to be on Zoom. When my sister was setting up, my dad asked if he could move his speaker so they could set my mom up. I really shouldn’t be surprised but I am, he told my dad no. It took two family friends to get him to move the speaker so my mom could see us on our wedding day.
Let’s go to the biggest one, the music. Corey didn’t play any of the music my husband and I spent HOURS putting together. He was supposed to play love music during the cocktail hour, which he didn’t do. He was supposed to play Irish music during the dinner because I come from a very large Irish family it would have been so special to have our heritage music played, big surprise, he didn’t do. He didn’t play any of the songs we requested on our list. He replayed songs MULTIPLE TIMES. To top it off, my aunt asked him 3 times, and then paid him $5 to play a song THAT WAS ALREADY ON OUR PLAY LIST. Even if it wasn’t on our play list, why do my guests have to pay him more money? We’ve paid him enough.
Right before our Bridal party was being introduced, I went over it with Corey several times. I asked him, “Do you got it?” He said, “yes.” Corey messed up every. Single. Introduction. Making it even worse, he introduced us as the Best Man and Matron of Honors. Our Best Man even called him out on it during his speech.
He RUINED our first dance that I spent my ENTIRE life waiting for. A beautiful piano version of our song was played. About a minute in, it switched to a dance remix that was NOT approved by myself or my husband. How did Corey handle it??? instead of just letting it play or changing it, he CUT OFF our first dance, laughed and said “oops, remix” and carried on with the next dance.
Right around 11 I was informed that the DJ was unplugging. We paid for services until midnight. At the time, I was getting my bussle fixed (for the 100th time). I asked two of my best friends to check out what was happening. At this point, they told me he was screaming at them, “I only talk to the bride and groom!” I’m going to be honest, I bit my tongue the entire night. I was going to address his mistakes the next day. However, when I got wind that he was yelling at my friends when I asked them to find out what was happening. Corey swears someone told him to shut down. It wasn’t me and it wasn’t my husband, so who would have told him to shut it down? Corey proceeded to run down the hallway screaming, “THE BRIDE OWES ME MONEY!” Making himself look even more unprofessional because I already paid him and I wish I hadn’t.
The next morning I did my own research and I am not the only one that had these experiences, let alone that he’s been revoked from the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU! When I called Corey to discuss ALL of this, he tried flipping it on my husband and I like we are the ones at fault. -

This is a review for Talent City Artists and its sister company Highland Preferred. Our contract was with Talent City Artists but we have received no help or response from Highland preferred to remedy the situation. This review is to inform of our experience and help with your decision. Full disclosure we have received part of the refund that was promised after the event to us ($1000 out of $2000 that was promised) and were offered a free photo session to not post any negative reviews. It has been nearly 6 months since our wedding and we have not received our full refund, our photobooth pictures, and have not heard anything from the company in several weeks despite multiple emails reaching out. I highly recommend not going with Talent City Artists or Highland preferred. I will bullet point the things that took place with the owner, Corey, who was our DJ for our wedding
Cory showed up 2 hours late from when he was supposed to be there, arriving at 4pm when guests arrived at 4:30pm. We were told in a call with the company later "he wasn't in the right mind to do a wedding". Microphones didn't work so were unable to be used due to feedback, Corey interrupted speeches yelling into a booming mic, music cues were missed including walk down the aisle/mother son dance/and our first dance, Corey yelled into mic during our first dance until forcibly taken away by our photographer, our last dance song was not played, Corey sat in a chair for large stretches of our wedding seemingly passed out, he berated guests when they tried to make song requests, the photobooth said Happy Baby Shower, the worker there to oversee the event left after the first dance without telling anyone and when we asked around for her to help we were told she left the venue because she was "overwhelmed" and felt threatened by Corey, and Corey was seen multiple times ordering alcohol from the bar. We were contracted for a personalized monogram for the dance floor which was not there. Post wedding we set up a call. Chris from Highland Preferred said that a refund for the DJ service and photobooth was already in the works but may take up to 2 weeks. 6 months later we have yet to receive the full refund or any pictures from the photobooth! We have reached out to both Chris and Corey multiple times and get barely, if any response. We have yet to hear back from a single email to Chris.
If not for a second videographer (who wasn't even supposed to be there) taking over the DJ while Corey was sitting in a chair with his head down not responding to anyone, our wedding day would have been a complete disaster. I do not recommend using either of these companies. We went with them because the price seemed very good and like most couples we were on a budget. HUGE MISTAKE. They have been unapologetic and to this day have yet to give the full refund promised or send us any of the pictures from our photo booth. Talent City Artists and Highland Preferred have been next to impossible to get a response from and have shown little to no remorse. Corey even tried to offer us a free photo session to not write any negative reviews and guilt trip us saying that negative reviews will affect his employees ability to provide for their families. Yet, he has done ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to try to remedy the situation. So who knows if this is the first time they have had issues like this. Booking with Talent City Artists was the biggest mistake that we made and it very nearly ruined our entire wedding -
