We had the pleasure of working with Taffeta Weddings for our big day, and they exceeded every expectation. From the moment they arrived, Joanna and Lexi brought such calm, positive energy to the getting-ready process. They styled hair for our entire wedding party, and every single person looked absolutely stunning.
The styles they created were not only beautiful, but also held up perfectly from morning through the end of the night — even through lots of dancing and outdoor photos. Joanna and Lexi were professional, incredibly talented, and attentive to everyone's individual preferences, which made the entire experience feel personalized and stress-free.
We’re so grateful to have had Taffeta Weddings as part of our wedding day dream team. Highly recommend them to any couple looking for hair artists who truly care about their work and their clients! -

We had Taffeta come onsite at Renault wedding for our group’s hair/makeup (bride, 6 bridesmaids, MOB, MOG). They were incredibly efficient while also doing a beautiful job for everyone. The communication with Connie in the months leading up to the wedding helped me feel even better about our decision to work with Taffeta. I had Kat for my makeup and Jess for my hair (plus Bianca for others in the party) and they all were lovely. Definitely do a trial in advance and have your girls arrive with photos of what they want to make the process go as smoothly as possible. If I had another event in the area, I wouldn’t hesitate to book Taffeta again! -

I first came across Taffeta while browsing vendors on the knot and knew immediately I found the one! Communication with Gina was great from the very beginning, she was always very professional and helpful! My trial was the first time I had ever gotten my makeup done professionally and I was absolutely in awe of Aleshia’s work! Not only is she an incredibly talented makeup artist, but she is also the nicest person ever and so easy to talk to. She took the time to figure out what I really wanted and made me feel more beautiful than ever before!! The day of my wedding was even better - I was so happy with my makeup I almost cried it all off!! Drew was fantastic as well and all my bridesmaids looked beyond gorgeous, making for some very pretty pictures! I’ve had so many people ask who I used for makeup and I know one bride who already booked them for her wedding in March. All in all, Taffeta exceeded my expectations and gave me a newfound appreciation for the art that is makeup! -

If you want to look and feel like a celebrity, book Taffeta! I highly recommend Alex, Cassandra, Kat, and Aleshia! I was married on 7/20 and I never felt more beautiful in my life! I’m so particular about my makeup and Kat killed it! I looked like a Pinterest model. Alex did my hair and it was beyond anything I imagined. My hair was perfectly wavy, pinned to the side, and my clip in extensions were perfectly placed and I didn’t feel them all day. All of my girls looked amazing and we were done well ahead of schedule...There were 12 of us with full hair/glam makeup with lashes and Alex and her team were even able to fit in 2 more girls last min. The best part was it was also the hottest day of 2019 (heat index was 114) and we spent a lot of it outside... the makeup and hair did not budge. We started getting ready at 8 am but by 11:30 pm as the wedding was ending our hair was still perfectly curled and our makeup looked like we just had it done. You really cannot go wrong with Taffeta. They’re located in Hammonton and their shop is adorable! They also travel! I will never use anybody else for hair/makeup for future events. -

Alex and Lauren at Taffeta truly saved the day! I live in Pennsylvania and was married at Congress Hall in Cape May, NJ. I had two disastrous trials locally before reaching to Taffeta, who I found on Congress Hall's preferred vendor list, in a panic months before our wedding. They responded immediately and executed my vision flawlessly. Their studio is quaint and charming and their trial hours are very flexible. They welcome feedback and are open to adjustments. I was very impressed by the formality of their contracts, payment process and online portal. We were assigned an appropriate amount of stylists per services requested and the timing the morning of our wedding was flawless. I couldn’t have been happier with my experience and would highly recommend Taffeta! -

I had a hair trial with a hairstyle I thought I loved, and Alex did a lovely job - but after thinking about it for a few days I decided it wasn't for me; so on my wedding day we decided to completely switch up the look. I was really nervous, but Alex was AMAZING! She did exactly what I asked for, without a "trial". My mom and sister were so happy with their up-dos. She is incredibly fast and efficient, and produces beautiful work. Thank you Alex for making us feel beautiful! I will send pictures as soon as I get them =) -

I couldn’t have been happier with the hair and makeup team for my wedding! They did an incredible job on my bridal look, as well as for a large group of bridesmaids, moms, and grandmothers. Everyone looked and felt amazing. The team was professional, efficient, and kept everything running smoothly — we even finished ahead of schedule. Beyond their talent, they were such wonderful women to have around on the big day. Highly recommend! -

Katie Sent on 08/23/2015I was absolutely THRILLED with the hair and make-up that Randi from Taffeta did for my wedding. She arrived at my house early and ready to go... before 7 AM! I was a little concerned because she was responsible for the hair and make-up for both me and my bridesmaid in four hours, but it could not have gone smoother! My bridesmaid, who was slightly nervous about liking everything, showed Randi some inspiration pictures, and that's all she needed. She loved how everything turned out!
When it came time to do my hair and make-up, we looked back at my trial pictures. I thought the trials had gone really well, but asked for a little more volume, a few slight changes, etc. and WOW! She totally upped her game, and gave me exactly what I wanted and more. Besides her work, she was a fun person to have at my house while the girls were all getting ready. She was comfortable giving my friends make-up tips, posing for pictures for the photographer, and fit right in with everyone. It felt normal to have her there on the morning of my special day.
I felt so beautiful and confident my entire wedding day, and I have Randi to thank for that. Hair and make-up, one of the things that stressed me out the most, was absolutely NO stress on my wedding day. -

We had a bit of a time crunch towards the end but they made sure everyone was finished in time. Would most definitely recommend this company. -

If Taffeta put HALF as much time into communicating with theirs brides as they do posting on Instagram this would be a better review. This salon is all social media, they do not deliver. I was a September 2024 bride and my only regret was booking this company.
I cannot stress enough how UNORGANIZED this bridal salon is. I thought booking hair/makeup at the same company would be easiest, less hectic and better vibes on wedding but boy was I wrong. Require full payment 6 months out and then it’s crickets to get a reply, which is unnerving obviously- you would think since they know they have your money they would be a bit more attentive to their brides. They are an agency so you have no say in your artist, the same 1 artists is tagged in their posts so you cannot see artists portfolios, and all of mine were independent artists so therefore there is no accountability, they don’t even know half the policies Taffeta requires of their brides and Taffeta acts as a conduit for communication- so it took forever to confirm anything. The communication is awful, took weeks to reply on appointments THEY made with me! I left 3 messages to their bridal concierge over summer months as a result of not getting an email reply after 28 days and nobody ever called me back….ever. I was given 4 different timelines from 3 different people literally up to 2 days before my wedding AND STILL ALL 3 ARTISTS WERE LATE ON MY WEDDING DAY and the WRONG amount of Hair and Makeup Artists were sent. There wasn’t enough time for all the services I paid for due to the companies mistakes & hair, makeup adjustments were made to fit the timeline- the owner knew all of this and the apology I received (after asking for one) was basically sorry but it would’ve worked out.
Save yourself the stress and nerve, book somewhere else brides!!

Erica Sent on 04/22/2017Unless you are from South Jersey - then this is likely not the vendor for you. The website is misleading - the looks appear natural and modern - but don't be fooled - this is heavy hairspray, fake fake looking lashes and a heavy hand. I had a really upsetting trial - the owner is so unprofessional and did not listen to me at all. I left looking and feeling awful - after traveling 3 hours from NY to meet at her home (which she was sweeping the whole time) on a Saturday morning (she would only accommodate a 10am Sunday morning trial...). When at the end of my trial my hair was in these crazy tight ringlet curls that looked like I was in a bad high school play - she blamed it on the texture and length of my hair and didn't even fix it - she just kicked me out. She never even offered me a glass of water or asked my sister and mom a single question about how they wanted their hair & makeup. I couldn't include this selfish, careless, rude energy in my wedding day, so I cancelled with Taffeta and lost $500 - my deposit and trial cost.
