Breathtaking

If you are unsure of what direction to go, STOP and say yes to SylkMartí, and I promise you won’t be disappointed. Being an 8year loyal client, I can’t recall not one moment of being unsatisfied. Our journey started in 2014 when Sylk captured our birth announcement with our firstborn Joziah. Our connection was Instant. I never knew someone so sweet and kind-hearted like her. From there, we shared many milestones, from baby to family photos.
In 2019 when Manuel asked me to marry him, we did not doubt that SylkMarti would be our photographer. Not because of our longtime friendship but because I have always been a fan of their work. I saw SylkMarti’s work in action, and they go above and beyond. Unfortunately because of covid, our 2020 wedding was postponed. Date change and a complete schedule change SylkMarti was there for us to make the transition as easy as possible. My wedding was a dream come true. I’m so grateful they captured all the moments I wanted and more. The experience of reviewing the photos after the wedding was breathtaking. I cried, reliving all the special moments of my wedding again. Sylk and Danny are different from other photographers because they don’t need to create a moment; they truly capture the moment as it naturally happens. Danny will throw himself on the floor, get on his knees or stand on a chair just to get the best angel. They guide you by positioning you, showing you, and touching you up as needed to make every photo better than the next. They had a vision with our love story and surpassed my expectations. Exactly what I wanted in a Wedding photographer

Sylk and Danny are an amazing duo! From our first meeting they made me feel that my wants and needs were truly understood. On the day of my wedding it all flowed so effortlessly, and their attention to detail is unmatched. I loved every minute of working with them. Dream Team

Danny and Sylk were amazing from the beginning to the end. Sylk created a timeline for us to follow that made sense. She talked us through our concerns because we feel awkward in front of a camera. Let me tell you the day of our wedding I felt like my friends were taking my picture. Ive never been so relaxed in a moment that should be so stressful. Ive always loved the beautiful pictures they take and to be behind the scenes and in front of the lens was awesome. All throughout the night they would explain the shot to us and tell us where to go. If youre looking for an amazing duo and stunning pictures look no further. We just got married sunday and I cant wait to see their work.

Just the best in the business!

5 stars are not enough for this DYNAMIC DUO. We began our adventure in the lovely island of Bermuda on a very hot morning at the beach. Sylk Marti was there to capture every single moment of that wonderful day and took the most scenic and captivating photos I have ever seen. They displayed relentless energy even through the un-bearable heat and produced the most amazing photos of our wonderfully exotic fairy tale wedding.

We continued our adventure 3 weeks later where we gathered with 130 of our family and closest friends to celebrate. Prior to the reception we encountered a few mishaps and just when I thought my day was ruined, the super heroes of Sylk Marti Studios swooped in and saved the day. I, in my crazy state, accidentally forgot to pick up my bouquet and boutonnière from the florist. Sylk quickly ran out and returned with a bouquet and boutonnière. I, then realized that our cake had not been delivered and learned there had been a mix up on the date with the baker. What was I gonna do without a cake on my wedding day??? Well, let me tell you what my super hero photographer, Sylk did. She quickly and magically arranged the delivery of a cake that was ready and on display just in time for the cake cutting.

So, not only are they Chicago's most talented photographers, they are miracle workers. They kept the night moving smoothly as they wowed our guests with their amazing chemistry and charm. Danny's humorous and charismatic personality had all our guest willing and ready to take wonderful photos for a lifetime of memories and Sylk made sure that all the photos we requested were taken and all of our guests were included. Sylk Marti was ready at every step to capture every single fun filled moment of the night. My husband and I are thrilled that we chose Sylk Marti Studios to be part of our special day. It was magical!

How has it taken me 2 years to write this review is beyond me!
Tomorrow will make it 2 years since I married my bestfriend and thanks to SylkMarti I have the most amazing memories captured in my wedding photos.
I could not have worked with better photographers. Their detail to capture hidden moments was evident and I am thankful. It was my perfect day and I am able to relive it over and over every time I watch my beautiful photo album.

My experience with Daniel and Sylk has been phenomenal. The moment I walked into their studio, I was greeted with such a warmth welcoming, literally felt like family. Sylk and Danny are wedding SAVIORS! We worked with a different photographer, but we were unhappy with the engagement photos he shot. My Maid of Honor was working with Sylk and Danny for her wedding, so we booked them to redo our engagement photos. Sylk and Danny drove from Chicago to Milwaukee and then drove with my now-husband, Matt, and I to Madison, Wisconsin to shoot our engagement photos. Matt and I were absolutely blown away by how awesome our engagement photos turned out! AWESOME does not even do those pictures justice. After our previous experience with the other photographer, we were nervous. Sylk and Danny put us at complete ease and captured us so perfectly. We spent several hours in Madison and although Sylk and Danny had a long ride back to Chicago in front of them, they never rushed us and were so particular about getting each shot just right. From finding the best, most flattering angle, finding the best lighting, to adjusting our outfits and my hair, Sylk and Danny were nothing but caring, thoughtful, friendly and EXPERT photographers. As I think back to our engagement photos, I can't pick a favorite, that's how amazing they are (I'll post a few here!). Another amazing thing about this experience is that since we were weeks behind on sending our Save the Dates because of the other photographer, Sylk and Danny rearranged their schedule to travel to Madison with us and turned around edited photos in just a few days. We were blown away by their flexibility and level of customer service. You really can't get better than them.

Our experience with Sylk Marti Studios blows away any expectations we had! We could not have chosen a better TEAM to work with on such a busy, chaotic, memorable, unforgettable and special day in our lives! The way they mixed fun, business and professionalism was perfect! We had a destination wedding in Punta Cana and they captured every moment from the arrival of our guests, welcome dinner, wedding day, post wedding adventures and everything in between! And during all of it not one time did it feel like they were "just the photographers". It felt like they were part of our wedding party.
After looking at our wedding photos we were stunned with how well all of our pictures turned out. They were amazing!! For the money, this was an A+ experience from start to finish. Upon my meeting with Sylk and Danny, I knew right away they were the perfect duo for my special day. Both exhibited passion and excitement for their profession. That same excitement and passion went into the planning for my wedding. When my wife and I started planning our wedding and thinking about vendors, I knew photography was important but I was honestly more interested in a great DJ, a good looking tux, and a delicious cake (I pushed for red velvet, a "moist" red velvet...I still have dreams about that cake). We planned our wedding for a little over a year, and guess what, the big day flew by in the blink of an eye. What were we left with at the end of it all? Pictures. A wedding album. A USB flash drive filled with photos. You know what I'm talkin' bout? Lemme put it another way:

Photography in my opinion is the most important vendor when it comes to wedding day, and on our big day, Sylk and Danny hit a home run. Like, bases loaded, bottom of the ninth, down 3-0 type of home run...that's called a walk off grand slam.

As the groom (and handsome prince) on wedding day, I really appreciated their passion for what they do. They are meticulous with every shot they take--they would make sure the stage was set, my wife's makeup/dress looked great, and that I had no gum in my mouth or bulge in my trousers (i.e. keys or cellphone in pockets, as this can ruin a great photo). Sylk and Danny worked together flawlessly, and their process of capturing our story on our big day was perfect. I would strongly recommend them for your wedding photography needs.

I wish I could show you our dope wedding album. Thanks to Sylk Marti Weddings, my wife and I now have beautiful art for the rest of our lives.

Sylk and Danny were amazing from our first call, to the final shot, to receiving our pictures. They were able to capture our most intimate moments and really were detailed-oriented. At one point Sylk was in a bush to capture a special picture of me along with my huge bridal party. And Danny was on the floor at one point making sure the lighting was just perfect. This dynamic duo along with their assistants know what they are doing. I felt comfortable with them, never pressured, and they were hilarious even after an 11 hour day. Sylk and Danny are hands down the absolute best! We had seen their work before on many occasions, and my husband and I always knew that when we got engaged and married, we would choose them to be our photographers. From the very first meeting we had with them, they instantly felt like family. They made us feel extremely comfortable and from the moment we began to share our vision with them, they knew exactly what we wanted and made us feel confident that they were going to fulfill it.
Our journey with Sylk Martí started with our amazing engagement photo shoot and then continued on to our Big Day. Sylk and Danny were with us the entire day and captured every single smile, hug, tear, kiss, etc. They both worked so well with our families and bridal party that everyone felt so comfortable having the camera around every corner. When we received our photo album tears began to flow, Sylk and Danny took us back to relive our wedding day through their amazing pictures. They had arranged our pictures in a way that seemed like a fairy tale: the story of Our Wedding.

Sylk and Danny were absolutely amazing on my wedding day. They were working together to get the perfect shot along with Vesna (their assistant). I have yet to see the album but the few pictures I have seen are absolutely stunning. Sylk did my Boudoir pictures as well and my husband was blown away. where do I begin! Danny & Sylk are like Jordan and Pippen in their primes... Aside from being professional and artistic they are both absolutely in love with what they do and the quality of work shows it. I felt like I knew them for years on the day of my wedding. Very accomodating, very tentative and above all they made my beautiful bride and I feel like we were the only people in the world. I was very fortunate to have been able to experience working with them. I shared many special moments with Danny and Sylk on that day. We laughed and we cried together. I cannot say enough about their artistic value. Very important in my opinion especially when your wedding photos are something you will want to look back at endless times. Definitely share your story with them! They are professional photographers that strive to provide that personal touch to your memories. We were very detailed in our "shot list" with them. They got what we asked for - and so much more! They captured moments that they knew were going to be important to us -- ones that we couldn't even imagine. Those photos were some of my most favorite -- and, it all came from the brilliant minds of Sylk Marti' studios! Also, definitely get the photo booth. It was the one of the highlights for our guests -- and, we LOVED the book of all of the photos that they gave us that night! :)

After dating for a several years, we decided to have a gay wedding here in the United States. It is difficult to plan everything especially when you want to keep lasting memories of every detail. My husband and I hired Sylk Marti to capture our wedding day. From the beginning our experience was awesome. They are very reponsible, professional and responsive. On the day of the wedding, Sylk and her team arrived earlier than stated in the contract to go over last minute details we wanted photographed. Sylk made sure we stayed on schedule and took all the pictures we could to incorporate different locations and lighting in our final output. I couldn't tell you the amount of complements recieved from family and friends because of the joyous personalities the team exhibited and the amazing photos taken on our wedding day. I would recommend Sylk and Danny to anyone who is looking for a professional photographer. Our wedding day was 80% rain with the rain Danny was able to capture amazing photographs. He never was discourage he continued to look for ways to get us our outdoor pictures. They are honestly the greatest team we appreciate them greatly and can't wait to use them for photo shoots to come.

For our wedding in 2014 i was looking for the perfect photographer to go with my perfect wedding. I was online and i came across Sylk Marti and the pictures was mind blowing and i just had to have Sylk Marti apart of my special day. Sylk Marti was everything i could imagine imagine. Gave us pointer, hints and tips to make our pictures great. Also alot of personality/laughs which made us feel comfortable. Sylk Marti did our engagement/wedding pictures. Sylk Marti was not only professional but pictures at a resonable price. We recieved our wedding pics within 2 weeks of the wedding. When looking over our pictures tears began to roll down my face with joy. Couldnt believe the pictures that was captured and amazed at the work. My fiancé Will and I decided to have a destination wedding in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic on September 13, 2014. We were so pleased when Sylkia and Danny said they were on board.

Sylkia and Danny were up early exploring the island for the best places to capture our special moments and they did a phenomenal job! They took our photos to another level and we are so grateful to have had the pleasure of working with them.

The photos they captured created a story of our time on on the island. Our album including a fun/romantic beach shoot on a private beach near our resort, to our rehearsal dinner that included our family and friends who traveled so far for our special day and finally our wedding day! Sylkia and Danny thought and captured EVERYTHING! Their was no stone left unturned and as a bride that is exactly what you need!

The chemistry that Sylkia and Danny have in capturing the perfect photo is God sent! They are not only professional and perfectionist but they are so kind, generous and so much fun to work with! They make you feel so comfortable and important.

Being a bride, bridesmaid and maid of honor, I've had to interact with a lot of "behind the scenes" people. The photographer, the DJ, the wedding planner, etc. The interaction I had with Sylkia and Danny has been the best by a long shot. They are not only experts in their field but they have a genuine concern and passion for what they do. They sincerely want every bride and every groom and every guest to be happy and they are the perfect team to capture that happiness through their lens. Where do I begin? From the moment my husband and I met Sylk and Danny we felt an instant connection. Sylk, with her ultimate professionalism and Danny with his sense of humor and ability to bring levity to our meetings. As our wedding day drew closer, Sylk and Danny met with us frequently to discuss our wants, as well as their vision to best capture the biggest day of our lives together. Once our big day came Danny and Sylk were better than advertised!! They were everywhere and undetectable for most of the evening. Their ability to move around like ninjas was the reason we were able to get such amazing shots. My husband and I had the winter wedding of our dreams this past January, a dream that required driving over 150 miles across Chicago and Burbs as well as freezing cold temperatures to pull off! I knew finding a photographer for our day was not going to be easy as it would require so much travelling. I met with several photographers and felt lost in their guidelines and restrictions. Sylk made our first meeting seem easy and exciting, I could feel the energy come off her as she was genuinely excited about our winter wedding and the endless possibilities to capture beautiful winter wedding photography. I left the meeting ecstatic and moments later we hired them! We are so grateful to have selected Sylk Marti Weddings as our photographers, they're hard work, attention to detail, energy and teamwork is truly magnificent!! Sylk and Danny dedicated they're full attention to us and capturing every moment of our wedding. Our day started early in the morning and ended late into the evening and not once did i see them slow down. I don't think I can say enough good things about SylkMarti Weddings. They were everything we could have wanted and more in photographers! Sylk and Danny are phenomenal at what they do, you can see the heart and soul that goes into each photograph they take. They are exceptional at communicating with their clients. They always got back to my husband and I very quickly and went out of their way to make sure we were always informed of any new happenings or ideas. Sylk & Danny did our engagement photos and our wedding photos and they are all so AMAZING! Every shot is better than the next. Once we had viewed our engagement photos I knew that our wedding photos would be perfect. On our big wedding day Sylk & Danny made my husband and I feel so comfortable and at ease the entire day from beginning to end and got the shots done quickly so we could also enjoy our wedding day, which is definite plus. After the wedding it was not long at all until we got to see our wedding photos and boy can I tell you we were blown away by them all, I cried looking through them all as Sylk showed them to my husband and I.

SylkMarti's delivery of the final package exceeded our expectations. We absolutely love our photos and can feel ourselves reliving the moment as we look back on them every time. Me and my husband were introduced to sylk by a family member. The first time we came to her studio was when our son was born to take newborn pics. We feel in love with her and her work from that day on. We knew at that moment that she would be our Wedding photographer without even looking for others. She later partnered up with Daniel and they became sylkmarti studios. What an amazing duo!

We are Absolutely in LOVE with every single picture from our wedding. Sylk Martí Studios did an AMAZING job! I cant thank them enough for all the memories they captured on our special day, not to mention the level of professionalism and attention to detail. They allow you to be comfortable around them. They make the day go smooth and help create an easy fun environment. I love that they love what they do and it shows in there work. I used sylk Photograpghy(They changed there name to Slykmartin) for my wedding. Sylk and Danny were absoutely wonderful. There personalities made it so easy to work with. they were easy going. I would recommend them 100%
