Michelle is an incredible person to work with if you want support in designing the ceremony of your dreams. My husband and I knew we didn't want the traditional ceremony language so we worked with Michelle to gather ideas for how we wanted to conduct our ceremony. In an hour she helped us understand different formats, identify key stories we wanted to include, and shape the flow of our ceremony. Her questionnaire alone is an amazing resource in helping your identify what you really want to highlight during the ceremony. 10/10 recommend Michelle and absolutely loved her insights and help leading up to our celebration. -

Michelle with Swoon Union is the biggest sweetheart imaginable. For two stressed-out soon-to-be-newlyweds, her guidance was beyond helpful! The questions she sent led us both down a sentimental review of our relationship, and guided our minds toward a wonderful future together. The ceremony she created and delivered was so authentic and the highlight of our day. I tell a lot of people this, but the best money we spent on our wedding was on ceremony writing with Michelle. Our ceremony was a beautiful blend of our cultures and values, and we seriously would not have been able to put all of that together without Michelle's expertise, unique and personal process, and collaboration. If you work with Michelle, I promise you will go into your wedding day more connected with your partner than ever, partially because of the thoughtfulness, conversations, and care Michelle puts into getting to know you as a couple. Michelle is brilliant, a beautiful writer, soulful, and full of love that she pours into her couples. Do not hesitate to hire Swoon Union, Michelle is truly the best! -

Simply the best.
Michelle is absolutely the best and easiest vendor decision we made for our wedding! For some couples, the ceremony is a means to the reception. For us, we wanted it to be the most significant and memorable part of our day, which it should be...shouldn't it? Michelle seamlessly made it just that. Our ceremony was hands down the best part of the day, not only for us...but for all our guests (they still continue to tell us). Following our very first phone call, my husband and I hung up and just looked at each other, we didn't need to say anything. We were both in agreement that she was one of the most genuine, kind and patient people either of us had ever met, we actually both said "we just want to be friends with her ''. With every phone call she brought such a positive light in the darkness of planning a wedding during a pandemic. With Michelle's couple survey, she taught my husband and I so much about each other, she opened up discussions that had not been addressed even after being together 4.5 years. Michelle created a D R E A M ceremony, our dream, it represented US, it felt like US. That is what made our ceremony so perfect, nothing felt forced, out of place or distant to who my husband and I are as a couple. In addition to the ceremony, she helped us write letters when downsizing our wedding and editing our day of letters to each other. Throughout our process with Michelle, we never met in person due to COVID. As you would expect, on our wedding day she exceeded all our expectations in person. She was warm, welcoming, comforting and kind not only to us but to all our family and friends. Following all the raving reviews from our family and friends, my husband and I were in agreement that we wanted it documented, so we put in a request to our videographer to do a separate video of just our ceremony. If it isn't obvious yet, the ceremony was the best part of the day, and Michelle gets all the credit. Please book her! I promise, you won't be disappointed! XOXO TenTwo -

We can't say enough about how special the experience was working with Michelle to design our ceremony. She took the time to get to know us and our story and she wrote the most absolutely beautiful, personal and unique ceremony for us. It was a true highlight of our entire wedding, and not just for us as the couple, but for the guests as well. We heard over and over again from guests how special our ceremony was... some even saying they wished they could get married again and have Michelle write it! We highly recommend making the investment in a special and personal ceremony with Michelle at Swoon Union -- you won't regret it! -

Michelle was SUCH a joy to work with and we had guests coming up to us after the ceremony asking us if she was a family friend or family member, because she knew us and our story so well! Typically at weddings we've attended in the past, the ceremony has been just something to get through before the "good part" (aka cocktail hour and reception). But having a personal ceremony written and performed by Michelle made our wedding feel so much more love-filled and meaningful. Our guests were able to bear witness the stories and experiences that had led us to that day and the process of collaborative writing with Michelle allowed my husband and I to really put a focus on what our intentions and dreams were for our life together. I can't sing Michelle's praises enough...and her amazing, comforting hugs were the cherry on top! -

It’s hard to put into words how happy we are that we used Michelle for our wedding ceremony. In our opinion, the ceremony should be the most important part of your wedding day. It’s the reason why everyone is there. It should be authentic, genuine, heartfelt and filled with love. Our ceremony was all those things and more, thanks to Michelle. Despite only meeting Michelle a handful of times, we had an immediate connection and felt like we knew her forever. She genuinely cared about getting to know us and forming a relationship. She checked in often, even on life events non-wedding related. We had multiple calls and she even drove to Boston to meet with us in person. She went above and beyond to form a connection and we now feel like old friends. Having that connection with her made our ceremony that much more special. And, we loved the method she used to write the ceremony. After being with someone for 10 years, you feel like there isn’t much to go over. Filling out her questionnaire and going over it together was so fun. It was such a nice exercise to do amongst some of the other wedding planning activities. It grounded us during a stressful planning process. Michelle also has such a calming presence. We were so nervous about standing in front of everyone but while we were up there with Michelle, we felt calm. Everyone said how wonderful and heartfelt our ceremony was. “Beautiful” was the word I heard most to describe it. Do not think twice about booking Michelle for your ceremony! -

Amazing officiant!
Michelle was such an incredible part of our wedding experience. The ceremony felt authentic and meaningful and SO many people told us it was the best ceremony they had ever attended. Having Michelle officiate our wedding was one of the best decisions we made! We are forever grateful Xx -

Michelle worked with us over the past year to craft a ceremony that felt completely "us". She was easy to work with, and open to any suggestions or thoughts we had. She took the time to meet us in person early on in our engagement in Brooklyn. We could tell right away that she was a warm and caring person who we could trust. She delivered the ceremony perfectly and was a calming presence during the rehearsal and the day of the wedding. What stood out to me most was how much Michelle GENUINELY cared about me and my husband and our ceremony. We are very lucky to have found her! -

There just aren't words to explain how absolutely wonderful Michelle is, and the light she brings to your special day. She gives sound advice, but lets you run the show. She writes some very meaningful and personal ceremonies and to top it off she gives some killer hugs! It was quite serendipitous the way we found Michelle. We were pretty set on having someone we knew and who played a major role is us meeting, to marry us. Due to some unforeseen circumstances that didn't work out. We were pretty devastated by having to start looking for someone who could meet our needs and provide a ceremony that was uniquely ours. With a well placed google we landed on Swoon Union! Michelle did an amazing job at getting to know us as a couple, individually and especially what we wanted for our big day-even from miles and miles away. By the time she married us it felt like we had always known each other. You can be guaranteed her professionalism, joy and flexibility, as well as her efforts in providing a ceremony that speaks to your religious or non-religious needs, and she works to incorporate the important aspects, customs and traditions into your ceremony. Our favorite part is that Michele will work to give you the ceremony that fulfills your desired feeling for that special day. She also held and orchestrated the best rehearsal that was so touching, and went out of her way to meet us at the venue a few weeks before our wedding. When you meet Michelle you can immediately feel her radiate love and acceptance. Michelle, loves- love! And you can tell she absolutely loves what she does and what more could you ask for? Oh and did we mention the killer hugs? -

Michelle was one of the most integral parts of our day. Yes, it's true. We weren't sure what we wanted for our ceremony, coming from different outlooks on religion, and if we had not met Michelle, perhaps the ceremony would have been an afterthought. She was not going to let that happen, oh no. Honestly, it's daunting to meet up with a stranger and share your love story, intimate details, and all of the emotional things about your partner that make you want to get married in the first place. Michelle met us halfway in Portsmouth, NH to get to know one another in order to get what she needed to write her ceremony. Except, it wasn't really like that at all. She met up with us to ask questions, to listen, to understand what we were all about. She met up with us to have a beer, eat a snack, put us at ease, and genuinely care about us as people in order to craft the piece of writing that would ultimately become the words spokenin front of our nearest and dearest to share our intentions to love one another in this world.
At our rehearsal, Michelle had our wedding party and family stand in a circle to introduce one another and talk about how they know us as a couple, and honestly - we were feeling the love all around. It really helped to remind everybody of the reason why we were gathering and I think that added a level of comfort, that we were all here for the same purpose. I know it helped to ease my nerves!
My parents, who both some convincing that it was OK to have a ceremony not in a church led by a priest did not mention the topic again after seeing Michelle in action on the day of our wedding. Trust me, this is a big deal :)
We often said to ourselves that Michelle's calming presence and guidance really was an anchor during the last couple of months of preparation when we were feeling overwhelmed, maybe a little bit scared, and at times just wanting to rush though the whole thing and be done. She helped us to slow down, breathe, and had resources that helped to give structure around all of the logistics of our ceremony. We recommend her without hesitation and hope to catch up this summer! -

Michelle helped my wife and I with not only our wedding ceremony but also to keep our sanity during the wedding planning process. She sat down with us and really got to know us so that the ceremony we wanted was the one that we got. It wasn't the easiest thing to come up with the words that I would say in front of the friends and family that I cared enough about to have be part of our ceremony, but Michelle helped me to review drafts of my vows. This gave me the confidence that I needed to go into the wedding day with one less thing to be nervous about!
Aside for help with the actual ceremony, it was great just to have her to talk to about the wedding process and to "talk us off the ledge" when other planning items felt like they were going south. She's done this enough that you can believe her when she tells you that things are going to be OK...which doesn't sound like much, but makes a world of difference sometimes! -

What can I say about Michelle except how amazing she is?! Michelle was crucial in the writing of our ceremony for your wedding day. My husband and I were married in Scotland. While Michelle wasn’t able to marry us there, her magic ceremony writing was felt that day. Never before had I thought that we could have such a beautiful, meaningful ceremony! From the beginning she asked meaningful questions, all of which made the process enjoyable and easy.

Elizabeth Sent on 10/01/2018From our first conversation with Michelle, we were sure we found the right person for us. We were both very unsure of what we wanted out of our ceremony and Michelle had ways of helping us figure it out. She gave us a really wonderful exercise with thoughtful questions, many of which we never thought to ask ourselves or each other, which helped us with the ceremony specifically but also brought us closer. Michelle was so enthusiastic and genuine in every interaction it helped us realize how important the occasion was.
As for the event, Michelle traveled 3 hours to join us! She came up the night before and spent a ton of time with us relaxing at the hotel and getting to know us and our family- way above and beyond what we could have hoped for. She even brought two thoughtful gifts for us. The day of, we had a large party bus to take us to Acadia. She rode with us- getting off at every stop and walking to all the attractions with us, even when some of our family went off on their own. She helped with my dress, held my bouquet, helped get my hair out of my face, and was just very present and supportive.
The ceremony itself was beyond expectations. Michelle gave us a copy of the ceremony and welcomed critiques and tweaks leading up to the day, and even though we'd read it a dozen times we were blown away by the sincerity, thoughtfulness, and genuine care in every word that day. My family was in complete amazement as well, and couldn't stop telling us how incredible she was- which for me was the most important thing, as they were her audience.
Sorry for being so wordy but I genuinely can't say enough about Michelle, we were so lucky to find her! -
