  Easy experience

  Just got married this past weekend and used Swept for my bridal hair and makeup. I wanted service for just me and they were able to accommodate that! Of course, they won't come out to you without reaching a certain minimum headcount, so I went to their studio in Joppatowne for my day-of look. Sallie was my stylist and she was very professional and I thought she did a great job on hair and make-up that lasted throughout the night. I booked in 2023 so I know things can change, but I found their pricing to be transparent and competitive at the time. I think that if you are getting married around the Baltimore/Maryland area and want to travel to the studio it would be worth it.
  
  
  I do want to note at the end however, that I think Swept as a whole should have more inclusive advertising/social media shots with women & persons of color. I saw quite a few desi/asian brides come in during my trial and day-of look but would love to see more POC advertised so they can see that this service can also accommodate them & make them feel welcome to reach out.

  We have a very diverse team and while we would LOVE to post more POC on our social media pages, we haven’t been fortunate enough to have a lot of darker skin toned brides in the past, therefore we do not have the photos to post. My hope for the future is that we CAN start posting more diverse weddings and show all women of all color that we can fulfill their bridal beauty needs!

  Outstanding!

  I cannot say enough good things about this team! Jamie did hair and Wendie did makeup for myself and my bridal party. They are both so talented, efficient, relaxed, and such a pleasure to work with! My HMU trial was a lot of fun. On wedding day everyone looked so beautiful. We had very windy conditions and everyone’s hair continued to look amazing. Sallie also did an in-studio spray tan trial (I had never gotten a spray tan before) and then again a few days before my wedding and did a fantastic job both times. Jamie’s responsiveness and communication from start to finish were outstanding. Would 100% recommend using Swept for any HMU needs!

  Fantastic!

  Swept was absolutely great! They responded quickly and helped me plan their arrival and departure. The two artists I had, Wendy and Kristen, were great! They were so professional and also jammed out to Taylor swift with me and my bridesmaid the whole day! Would absolutely recommend them!

  Absolutely Gorgeous

  Jamie was a dream to work with. She was so friendly, professional, and just easy to sit with. Her and her team at Swept were committed to ensuring my wedding party and I looked and felt great about our hair and makeup on the day of my wedding. They listened to what I wanted done with my hair and makeup and followed through even more than I could have expected and stayed within my desires. My hair and makeup were gorgeous and they got all 10 of us done within the set up time before first looks. I would work with Jamie again without a second thought. Definitely think of them for all of your events in the DMV/Baltimore area.

  Amazing Hair and Makeup

  I love Swept! Everything went smoothly at my trial. Sallie, my hair and makeup artist, traveled to my venue on the wedding day. She was there right on time with everything she needed. I requested something a little different for my makeup compared to what we did during my trial, and Sallie knocked it out of the park. I absolutely love how my eyes and hair looked. So kind, thoughtful and talented. Thank you!!

  Ideal HMU experience!

  I worked with Sallie (hair) and Haley (make-up) for both my July 2023 bridal trial and October 2023 wedding. Both ladies are remarkably talented and were able to bring my meager Pinterest dreams to reality! They both executed exactly what I envisioned, while providing realistic feedback on any areas that they thought should be tweaked, based on my complexion, hair, etc. I have naturally curly, 3A hair, and it was important to me that my stylist feel comfortable working with curls. Sallie was a dream - she blew me away with my updo.
  
  My bridesmaids, mother, MIL, SIL, etc. all had services done as well. Multiple bridesmaids shared with me that though they have had their HMU done for numerous weddings in the past, their experience with Haley and Sallie proved their favorite HMU to date!
  
  Jamie has assembled a very talented group of artists. I can't recommend Haley, Sallie, or the Swept team more!

  The Prettiest I’ve Ever Felt

  I’m not exactly the most fashionable or super girly girl in the world, so I knew I needed help with hair and makeup on my wedding day. My friend recommended checking out Swept and I’m so happy I did. Jamie, the owner, was super responsive and friendly. Alishba was my makeup artist and Jordan L. was my hair stylist. They were both so nice and so much fun to work with. We all absolutely loved how our hair and makeup turned out. My mom was a little hesitant about the bold lipstick color we convinced her to try first, but Alishba was totally cool with changing it for my mom and just wanted her to be comfortable with her look. I was hesitant to try fake lashes since I have really sensitive skin, but I loved them after my makeup trial. I even convinced the other girls to get them for the wedding and they all loved the lashes. Jordan did a beautiful side braid for my sister and a cute updo for my best friend. We were running a little behind on time (my fault) so Alishba and Jordan had to work on me at the same time. They did an incredible job under pressure. I genuinely felt so pretty when I got to see everything put together. Our hair and makeup lasted all day and night. Both stylists really listened to what each of us wanted and executed flawlessly. I wouldn’t hesitate to reach out to this team again for a future event, or just wanting to feel pretty for a day!

Jamie was so nice and patient with all of my questions as we got closer to wedding day and was flexible if I made any changes to the services we wanted. Wendie did our makeup and Jordan B. did our hair. Both were fabulous, kind, and fun, and most importantly did a great job!   Great experience!

  Jamie was amazing to work with. She was very responsive, and even texted me the night before to confirm. She worked very efficiently, but did not compromise quality at all. We were well ahead of schedule and had plenty of time for touch ups! Don’t hesitate to book Swept as you will not be disappointed.

  Amazing amazing work!!! All the pre-planning communication with Jamie was great and she was very responsive. The two artists for my big day were Lorena for make up and Sallie for hair. My mothers, bridesmaid and myself honestly all looked our very best! She listened to what everyone wanted and didn’t want and did such a beautiful job! They were very relaxed and stayed on scheduled which made the morning of my wedding so peaceful and not chaotic! Highly recommend!

  Best Glam in the Game!

  I had a great experience with Swept for my wedding hair and makeup. I'm not someone who feels super comfortable with other people styling me/glam in general but Dana and Alishba were super supportive and helpful with making adjustments during my trial. They were super patient with me while I tried on a million different lip colors and hairstyles. Jamie Lee was also super helpful and responsive when it came to booking my services, making adjustments to hair and makeup counts for the bridal party, and answering questions for me as they came up. When the day came, Dana, Alishba, Shannen, and Kathryn not only made us all look stunning, but were also hyping us up throughout the morning and making us feel like a million bucks. I'm convinced my "wedding glow" was all the confidence they instilled in me. I highly recommend Swept for any special event!

  Swept Away!

  The entire Swept Team did an amazing job doing mine, my mom's, and six bridesmaids hair and makeup (they even finished early!). During my trial day, I told Jamie I wanted a glowy, natural look since I don't wear much makeup normally and she delivered to perfection! It also didn't hurt that we spent the whole time chatting like old friends. For the wedding day, my airbrush makeup lasted through the August heat and felt so light I forgot I was wearing it! Jamie even mixed lip shades to match my complexion perfectly and gave me some for touchups throughout the day. I am so happy I chose Swept and special thanks to Jamie for making the entire experience a breeze. She is not only talented, but conducted herself with professionalism and was very responsive to all my questions. Highly recommend!

  Jamie and Alishba were great!

  It was great working with Alishba and Jamie for our wedding! The makeup by Alishba came out great and the hair by Jamie not only looked amazing but lasted through really windy conditions during our photos and ceremony. I have thin hair and it almost always falls flat but it held all the way through the night.
  
  On top of the beautiful hair and makeup, Jamie and Alishba were incredibly sweet and so fun to work with.

I have thin hair and it almost always falls flat but it held all the way through the night.

  Amazing team!

  I am so appreciative of the team at Swept and so grateful I hired them for my wedding day! I had Ciarrah for hair and Haley for makeup. Ciarrah completed a total of 8 of us and Haley 6 of us in 5 hours! We did not have to start crazy early in the morning like I expected, and they were both so quick and amazing at what they do. They were sweet, timely, and everyone loved the way their hair and makeup turned out. Amazing job!

  Wedding hair and makeup

  I got married this past Sunday and I truly can’t say enough good things about my experience with Swept. Kristin did our hair and Angie did our makeup and we have never felt so beautiful. My hair and makeup stayed on perfect through the ceremony out in the sun and all the dancing after! All the bridesmaids felt gorgeous and loved everything! We confirmed a time, they arrived on time at the hotel and we played music, drank mimosas, Kristin was singing along to the music and Angie was making me feel absolutely gorgeous complimenting my skin and making sure we used products that look the best with the skin! All of the advice they gave was great as well! I can’t recommend them enough to anyone and everyone!

  Best Wedding Hair & Makeup !

  I got married this past Sunday and had the most amazing experience with swept ! My artists Wendie and Ciarrah completely slayed my bridal look and exceeded all my expectations. With the help of Sallie they took on 9 others including mothers and bridesmaids. They all rose to the challenge and made sure everyone was ready to conquer the day. We sure did to say the least we conquered wind , heat and endless hours of dancing without our hair and makeup barely budging. I cannot thank Wendie, Ciarrah and Sallie enough for creating an amazing atmosphere and creating such amazing looks for me and my girls.

I am so picky with my makeup specifically and Sarah was so patient ans understanding with me and did exactly what I asked perfectly. Everyone looked and felt beautiful.   Hair and Makeup Services Trial & Wedding Day

  I found the Swept team to be really positive and kind. 3 other girls and I had both hair and makeup services and feel very positively about how they both went, but I definitely want to give a shout out to Haley, my makeup artist, who took extra time to answer questions I had between the trial and day of services. She was so thoughtful and considerate and I will definitely keep her in mind for future makeup needs.

  Mine and the whole bridal party's hair and makeup were on point! I absolutely loved working with Rosie and Jordan, they have a fun and calming presence.   I seriously cannot put into words how thankful I am for Swept. I am not a makeup or hair girly so I was a little nervous about wedding day and wanted to make sure I actually looked like myself. My team absolutely killed it on wedding day and I felt absolutely beautiful - but also felt like myself!! They did an amazing job of making sure all of my girls felt like their best selves too.
