Unparalleled sound and professionalism. A+++
Sweetwater Strings gave a wonderful performance at our wedding. The music was amazing, and the selections plus overall sound were perfect. I'm not the only one who feels this way; my new wife, and countless guests, were also very, very pleased. Despite some last minute changes due to the weather, my wife and I enjoyed a perfect wedding due in large part to Sweetwater Strings. In addition to their beautiful sound, I can't say enough about their flexibility and professionalism. I hope to have another opportunity to hire them for future celebrations, and I strongly recommend them to anyone searching for impeccable performers.

Legendary music!
Sweetwater Strings performed as a quartet at my wedding in June 2025 in Prescott, AZ. Eily and the quartet gave an incredible performance and were just a pleasure to work with and so kind to us. Everything was very easy in terms of booking/comms and their extensive repertoire is so impressive. I am so grateful and honored that they performed at our wedding and really made our day so special.

Wonderful Music
We had their solo violinist play during the ceremony of our micro wedding. They were professional and easy to work with during booking--and also had great pricing. They were able to work with us for our specific song selections. The music was played beautifully and elevated our ceremony into an elegant experience.

Absolutely Beautiful
I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Sweetwater Strings. We had their String Quartet perform our ceremony and cocktail hour, and it was pure perfection. Eily and the team were professional, easy to work with, responsive, and accommodating. They have an extremely extensive selection of contemporary songs from Elton John to Britney Spears and all things Disney. Prior to the ceremony, we selected songs for our Prelude, Processional, Recessional and Cocktail hour. The delivery was absolutely phenomenal, and their talent is incredible.

Perfect experience

Beautiful with a Modern Twist!
Amazing String Quartet! I hired Sweetwater Strings to play all modern music on the string quartet. Think Bridgerton! Unfortunately, as the bride, I missed pretty much all of it, but I’ve heard many great things! They even were able to adapt Shipping Up To Boston for my wedding entrance! I highly recommend – great value, easy to book, and a beautiful touch to the ceremony!

One of the best parts of our wedding!
The music that Sweetwater strings performed at our wedding was absolutely outstanding and was definitely a major talk point throughout the evening. They took my vision and made it absolutely perfect. I will tell everyone that is getting married in the valley that hiring them is absolutely essential to having an elegant and personalized ceremony and reception. They were able to take our favorite modern songs and turn them into romantic masterpieces. For example, my husband came down the isle to “All of the Lights” by Kanye West. They are also very reasonably priced and extremely easy to contact and work with.

Don't look anywhere else if you want strings at your wedding!
We had Sweetwater Strings play violin and cello at our wedding and they were amazing!! Eily was so easy to work with, very professional, and I just cannot rave about them enough. Their prices were reasonable, they helped us to come up with music/an ambiance for our ceremony and really took all the stress out of this portion of our wedding planning. I felt like I was able to put things in their competent hands and they just delivered an amazing experience. Please hire them, you will NOT be disappointed!

Perfect ceremony music
We decided fairly late in the game that we wanted acoustic guitar for our ceremony. We contacted Eily at Sweetwater Strings, and she was very nice and set us up with Alex, one of their guitarists. Their booking process was easy, and their website had a really handy extensive list of song suggestions. The music turned out lovely!

Beautiful Music and Great Service
We hired Sweetwater Strings to play music during our ceremony and cocktail hour for our wedding on March 3, 2019. We were so blown away with how easy the process was, and how great they performed! All we had to do was pick out songs that we wanted to be performed at specific times, such as procession and recession, and the musicians took care of the rest. We received so many compliments about how beautiful the music was. Not to mention, it was very affordable! We would highly recommend Sweetwater Strings to anyone!

I'm a big band person and I always knew that I when I got married I would want a string quartet for the ceremony and hors d'oeuvre hour. I always knew that I wanted it, but I never knew if it was something I could afford. Sweetwater Strings was a prayer to my answers. They have such reasonable prices and they do such a wonderful job! I received so many compliments about the string quartet and how wonderful they were and how they played so beautifully! Sweetwater Strings were absolutely amazing, we are so glad we chose them for our wedding day! I used to play Cello and have such a love for strings so I just had to have them for our special day! We chose 2 duos and 2 locations for our day They traveled quite the distance to my venue in Superior and Fountain Hills and tailored their playlists to my specifications and brought tears my eyes when I walked down the aisle to my favorite song "The Ludlows" my absolute dream come true since the first time I heard it and then kept the party going with contemporary hits at the reception . It was 104 -108 degrees between the venues and they weren't phased one bit. They were just wonderful and my guests were so moved by their performances.Talk about talent. I would recommend them to anyone!!!

While looking for a guitarist for our Sedona, AZ wedding, we came across Sweetwater Strings. From the very first second we played samples of their music on their website, we fell in love. Initially we were planning on only hiring a guitarist, but once we heard the guitar/violin duo, there was no going back.
We were able to look on their YouTube and listen to songs they have played, and they sent us a HUGE list of songs we could pick out of for our ceremony!
Eily, the owner, made the whole process so easy, she was quick with e-mails, great with answering all our questions and so helpful when we got overly stressed out!
We hired them for our ceremony and cocktail music, but I wish we would have hired them for the whole evening! All of my guests were amazed at how beautifully they played, and couldn't stop talking about them! Sweetwater Strings made our wedding MUCH MORE amazing and unique than it would have been if we hired a DJ.
I have always wanted to walk down the aisle to music that would make my guests cry happy tears, and that's what I got! Thinking about how perfect they were still makes me cry.

I was presented the Sweetwater Strings as an option for our ceremony music by our amazing wedding planner. I did also have a choice of a few others, and I am definitely 150% happy with my choice. There website was fantastic, as unlike many others it really doesn't allow you to hear what different combinations of instruments would be like playing your pick of music. Very quickly we decided to have the violin and guitar and keep things simple. I can't tell you how AMAZING they were!!! Our guests kept asking us where we found them and couldn't believe how good they were. Honestly money well spent, and made for such a memorable ceremony. It sounded exactly like the songs we picked and even the cocktail music played afterwards was so perfect. Eily was so accommodating and responsive even until the very last minute even with song changes. I would so recommend Sweetwater over and over thank you!!!!!!!

We used Sweetwater Strings for our recent wedding at Gainey Ranch Golf Club at the end of September. Eily answered any questions I had during the planning and was really accommodating in my song requests for the ceremony. We selected Beauty & the Beast for the bridal party processional, Canon in D for the bride processional and We Found Love for the recessional. We utilized the string trio for a guest count of about 100 people, and they arrived on time. The group will also be in the attire of your choosing. We went with all black. The music was absolutely beautiful and exactly what we had envisioned for our ceremony. Eily was great. She was responsive and accommodating and so pleasant, as well as being a skilled violinist! She met with us a few weeks before the ceremony to discuss the overall tone and music style that we preferred. We wanted to use part of a pre-recorded song (The Prayer) and she made an MP3 of the portion that would be the processional as well as one for the recessional and then they played along with that recording. We were also impressed with her pretty extensive list of both classical and current music selections that they've commonly played at weddings. Having a string quartet at our wedding was such an amazing touch. Sweetwater Strings played during our ceremony and cocktail hour and did an amazing job! They had a long list of songs to pick from, and were very receptive to our special requests! In the process leading up to the wedding they always responded very quickly to emails and were professional and prompt. I was able to walk down the aisle to a Harry Potter song! They stayed in the background, did their job amazingly, and guests kept commenting on how great they sounded! I would highly recommend Sweetwater Strings to all brides!

We booked the guitar and violin duo for our ceremony and cocktail hour and our guests are still talking about how wonderful they were! Everyone at our wedding loved them! I hired Sweetwater Strings after reading their reviews on wedding wire and I am so glad I did. Eily was great to work with. They played exactly what I asked for and did a beautiful job during the ceremony. I also had them play during our cocktail hour and heard a lot of compliments on them. The violin and guitar duo created a perfect tone for our outdoors wedding. Eily made everything easy from picking the music to arranging the contract. Our wedding was in Arizona, but we were from Oklahoma, and I thought it might be hard trying to arrange everything from several states over. I found Sweetwater Strings while searching for ceremony music in/around Phoenix. Their website is awesome -- it provides many samples of their work across all of the different instruments they have available. They were very quick to respond to my emails, and were great with suggestions for instrumentation based on the size of our wedding. We had a small wedding and ended up with a violin and cello duo. They were incredibly professional, and obviously had done many weddings before. I, the neurotic bride, had everything about the ceremony planned to the last letter, but I shouldn't have worried -- our musicians knew exactly what they were doing and when.
I know this is most likely the case with most brides, but my only regret is that as the bride I barely got to hear them! Our processional and recessional that I DID get to hear were beautiful, and I've had many compliments from guests that the rest of the ceremony as well and the pre- and postludes they played were lovely. They were easy to work with, showed up punctually, and did a beautiful job.

We used Sweetwater Strings for our wedding ceremony and cocktail reception music. Eily was very friendly with booking and flexible with our music options. We had a string trio and used mostly traditional music for the ceremony (we threw in Stairway to Heaven during the unity candle ceremony) and then modern pieces for our cocktail reception. It was very cool to be able to incorporate the music we like into soft, enjoyable music for our guests.

This review is long over due. As with most brides, I had to work with a strict STRICT budget. I had a very informal wedding over at Papago Park and Sweetwater Strings upheld the class of it all!
Something goes wrong at every wedding and I was no exception. A good wedding band/musicians will play good music. An EXCEPTIONAL wedding band/musician will not only play good music but know how to "go with the flow"- this was the case with Sweetwater Strings. My wedding started an hour late and the whole structure of the reception got mixed up but they held it all together and made such a classy ambiance for my guests.
They were charming, presentable, kind, and affordable. God bless these people!! I had a violinist and guitarist - worked wonderfully.

This was one of the best parts of our service! The violin music was beautiful and personal making people feel like they were enjoying a much more expensive, custom service. It was less expensive than paying the restaurant for a Sound system, but was TEN times better than plugging in an iPod. It was easy to communicate with Eliy via email to plan the wedding from afar, but she was right there on time and played throughout the agreed to time, generating more positive comments from my guests than anything else. I cannot recommend Sweetwater Strings enough! We had the guitar/violin duo for our ceremony and cocktail hour at the Secret Garden. My husband is very particular about music. He is a musician himself, so when we found the guitar/violin duo we were looking for, he was very excited. He wanted to write his own music for part of the ceremony, and Sweetwater Strings allowed him to do that and played it PERFECTLY! He was so happy. The only thing I regret is not having a videographer so I could have heard the music myself. I did hear them play the Bridal March, and it sounded wonderful. My husband is also Chinese, and we requested a Chinese traditional song for the tea ceremony. Since both of our musicians also happened to be Chinese, they were able to recommend a beautiful song that was very fitting for that part of the ceremony. They are the best- I promise!

It was a pleasure working with Eily and Aaron. Aaron was my solo classical guitarist for my ceremony, and he did a beautiful job. And Eily made picking music so easy. She was always easy to get a hold of and had wonderful suggestions. Aaron did a great job of flowing with the ceremony and lengthening or shortening the songs as we needed. If you're looking for classical guitar, I would definitely check them out, but I also have a strong suspicion that all of their talent is just as professional and entertaining.

The one thing we had to have for our wedding was string players and Sweetwater Strings was the perfect choice for our August 20th celebration! We communicated with Eily only through email and although emailing may not seem like the most personal method, Eily always made us feel as though she truly cared about every detail and offered us many great suggestions! We had a memory candle lighting ceremony and Eily and her team arranged a version of "The Prayer" especially for our wedding! We had many compliments from our guests about how wonderful the music was and we wish that we could have really enjoyed it was well as we only had them for the ceremony. This was a leap of faith.. and it paid off! I never once met Eily or her crew in person. I did everything via email, and listening to her music from their website. My guests complimented the music and enjoyed the special touch. My only regret was not being able to enjoy it more since we only hired them for the ceremony.

I hire Eliy for our ceremony music for our Wedding in December 2010. I had the String Duo Violin & Cello, it was absolutely beautiful. Everyone loved the class of the duo for the ceremony, I was very pleased and would hire them again. They were wonderful. Thank you so much for making our day beautiful.

Sweetwater strings did an excellent job at our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour (we had booked a violin & cello duo). It was very classy and our guests told us they enjoyed the music. They were punctual and professional. Also, it was a pleasure working with the owner. She was very helpful and answered all my questions.

Eily and the team at Sweetwater were GREAT! They pulled out some amazing arrangements for some of the songs that aren't available on sheet music. Their willingness to spend hours arranging and keeping the cost fair set them apart in their field! Totally recommend them - especially for current music set to strings!

We met with Eily during an open house and booked her right there without looking any further. Everything ran so smooth and prices were unbeatable. They did an amazing job and brought tranquility to the Sanctuary. I had a small wedding of about 75 ppl and the duet was perfect!! thank you Sweetwater - will definitely recommend you guys to all.

The easiest vendor I had! She put together the perfect music selection, was not needy, met with her once gave her my info and what I wanted and she nailed it no problem whatsoever! Many of my guests were very impressed and thought it was the perfect touch for our intimate ceremony. We chose a solo violin under the impression we would only have 50 guests showing up, with close to 90 actually coming the sound level was still just as perfect! So great, and highly recommended

Sweetwater strings played for our ceremony & cocktail hour for our wedding in Sedona. They are affordable, accommodating (many other companies were not willing to drive 2 hours away), and were extremely professional. We first met with Eily and immediately booked her on the spot, we were shocked it would be affordable enough to include a cocktail hour (something we hadn't planned on doing with our tight budget.) Lali and Patricia did a great job! We would highly recommed them to anyone looking to add that extra special touch.

My husband and I could not have been happier with the service that Sweetwater Strings provided for us. We used a string quartet for our wedding and everything was perfect. My husband is a music major and had some pretty specific and difficult music requests and Sweetwater Strings was more then willing to work with us to accomplish these goals. Sweetwater Strings went out of their way to work with us and contact us with special circumstances while we were finishing school out of town and even planned a personal one-on-one meeting to discuss our specific individual contract. Sweetwater Strings contacted us a few days before the wedding just to touch base one final time. On the wedding day Sweetwater Strings was very punctual and were very organized as to what they needed so as to help keep everything running smoothly. During the ceremony the quartet did a great job following the flow of things. Many of the guests gave compliments to my husband and I afterwords based on the overall aura that their music provided to the ceremony. They truly made the day very special for everyone. My husband and I would highly recommend Sweetwater Strings to anyone planning an event. They far exceeded our expectations and we would use them again in a heartbeat.

I wholeheartedly provide Sweetwater Strings 5 stars for playing at my wedding in February. Not only did they play beautiful music, they were incredibly accomodating for the special music request that we had, and very responsive via e-mail. I would recommend them to any of my friends who are getting married in the future. They were even willing to travel to Tucson to play at my wedding. I can't say enough good things about them, and were wonderful with the guests at the wedding as well. They were even willing to allow my 3 year old niece to look closer at their instruments - incredible. I received so many compliments on their music.

Just wanted to say thanks for the beautiful music you gave us at our wedding. My mother, who is a classically trained pianist, commented that your playing was wonderful and she enjoyed it very much. She even commented that she felt the selections could have been her own choosing, especially Musette (from her favorite opera).
I especially want to thank you for El Relicario, which brought a tear to her eyes remembering my dad playing it on his organ and the family dogs laying on the floor singing along with him. My sister and I requested it every night, and having it played at my wedding was like having a little piece of my dad there with us. I'm pretty sure he and the dogs looked down on the ceremony and smiled.

Eily is so sweet! She is very friendly and flexible. I requested a personalized repertoire and with no problem, she was ready with ANY changes I made. I can't remember hearing the music (I was so nervous), but guests said it was beautiful.

We had a string trio from Sweetwater Strings play at our ceremony & cocktail hour - they were fantastic! Eily was so great to work with, and made coordinating this music so easy. She had helpful suggestions, and was flexible to meet our needs. The music was so beautiful and we had many compliments on how great it was to have this live music as part of our ceremony and cocktail hour. I compared numerous string ensembles for price and quality. I found the best value and felt the most confident in selecting Sweetwater Strings. I would recommend them to anyone getting married!

The guitarist who played for my wedding and cocktail hour was amazing! It was the perfect atmosphere for both portions of my wedding- the ceremony music was hauntingly beautiful and the guests told me that the jazz he played during cocktails was upbeat and fun. They were more affordable than most other groups I inquired from. I would recommend them to any couple!

My wedding ceremony was everything I dreamed it would be and I think it was mostly because of the music performed by Eily and her partner on the guitar. My wedding was June '09, Sweetwater Strings played for my ceremony and had a string trio. They did exactly what I wanted and sounded sooo beautiful!! Everyone commented on how great they were. They are very professional and so talented. I would definitely recommend them! :)
