Sweet Temptations created a stunning and delicious wedding cake for my daughter’s big day. After tasting the cake at Fishermen’s, the couple knew it would be delicious—but the artistry truly stood out. Marlene was incredibly thoughtful, exchanging ideas and photos to capture exactly what my daughter had envisioned. She delivered the cake herself and carefully arranged every detail on-site. The result was both beautiful and memorable. Highly recommend to any couple looking for a personal touch and exceptional quality. -

The cake we ordered was by far the most delicious we tried in the area. It was light, flavorful, and offered a wide variety of options to choose from. The tasting experience itself was enjoyable and helped us confidently make our selection.
The final cake was beautifully crafted and matched our vision perfectly, including the subtle ripple design we chose. It was not only stunning in appearance but also truly incredible in taste.
We are already looking forward to enjoying the top tier on our first anniversary- this cake was a highlight of our celebration and exceeded all expectations! -

We had the pleasure of working with Sweet Temptations for our wedding cake and sweet table, and she absolutely exceeded our expectations! The sweets were so delicious that by midnight, the entire sweet table was wiped out. Guests couldn't stop raving about the cake and treats, with many asking where we got everything from. Marlene was fantastic to work with—extremely communicative throughout the entire process, making sure every detail was perfect. The cake tasting was such a fun experience, and we knew from that moment we were in great hands. Highly recommend Sweet Temptations LLC for any event! -

Our wedding cake was beautiful and delicious! The cookies were also amazing! Marlene was very attentive and replied to emails quickly. We got to do an in-person cake tasting, which was so fun too. -

I cannot recommend Sweet Temptations enough! We chose this bakery for our wedding cake, and it was an excellent choice. Marlene is wonderful to work with. Our tasting was easy, fun, and, of course, delicious. For the day of the wedding, I didn't have any worries as she took care of everything. It's been 1.5 months since our wedding, and we are STILL receiving compliments from our guests on how much they loved our cake. The cake flavors and fillings are all exceptionally tasty, and the frosting is out of this world! To top it off, I found the price extremely reasonable. -

The guests at my wedding absolutely loved the desserts made by Marlene and her team at Sweet Temptation in Yorkville, IL. We ordered a small cake for cutting, but guests had choices of various cookies, brownies and bars. Everything was incredibly delicious! Thank you thank you thank you to Marlene and Sweet Temptations. You can't go wrong in choosing them for your wedding! -

I first heard about Sweet Temptations Dessert Co. from a coworker who had used them for her wedding, and since we live near the bakery, we decided to look into them! We arranged a tasting with Marlene (the owner and baker), who is so unbelievably sweet and accommodating, and we fell IN LOVE with her cakes! We wanted cupcakes instead of a traditional cake, and Marlene really helped bring my vision to life! We selected three flavors of cupcakes for ours guests, and had a 10" cake to cut on our own. We have received TONS of compliments on the cupcakes - they were so elegant, delicious, and not a single one was leftover at the end of the reception! :) The pricing is exceptional as well, and Marlene really works with to make sure you get what you want while being conscious of budget. If you are looking for a bakery with a friendly feel and home-baked taste, look no further! -

Hilary Sent on 01/13/2017Food - both dinner & dessert - were #1 for my fiancé. As such, I setup 3 different bakery tastings. The first (elsewhere) went well - everything was ok, and we resolved to book there, unless our tasting with Marlene was a) tasted amazing or b) was way cheaper.
Let me tell you, her tasting was SO MUCH more amazing, I think due in part to her serving the tasting room temp (not cold), but due mostly to just how damn good her work really is! I do NOT like brown sugar & cinnamon flavors, but her BS&C frosting? Game changer. I love lemon/strawberry cake/frosting - she has REAL STRAWBERRY pieces in her frosting! It was so flavorful. One of the best parts of our wedding was that we had cupcake leftovers. We spent the day after delivering cupcakes to parents and grandparents, and they were thrilled. Our cake top, for cutting, was great, too - moist, flavorful, and gorgeously decorated. I can't wait for our one year - not just to celebrate a year of marriage, but for our replica cake from Marlene!
My husband raved about the tasting, and then became excited for the cupcakes on the wedding day, and her cost was even a bit cheaper than the other place we visited, and fulfilled a) amazing taste!
She's also easy to communicate with via email, and the shop is just so cute. And, VERY clean - you can tell she takes her business seriously, but does so with a personal touch. I highly recommend!
