Sweet Reasons cupcakes

Sweet Reasons cupcakes were delicious and looked beautiful for our wedding. We received a lot of compliments on how tasty our cupcakes were. They were helpful in the planning process for figuring out how many cupcakes we needed, how many flavors to go with, and provided a large selection of flavors to choose from. They accommodated both Vegan and Gluten-free requests that we made.
Day-of they did a wonderful job setting up the cupcake tower. Returning the rental tower was easy.

Best Cupcakes in Town

Our wedding cutting cake and guest cupcakes were from Sweet Reasons and they were a hit! We ordered plenty of extra and there wasn’t a cupcake in sight by the end of the wedding! We’ve been going to Sweet Reasons for years for any celebration cupcake we need and they are consistently incredible.

So Amazing!

When we got engaged, the only thing I asked for specifically was a red velvet cupcake from Sweet Reasons, my favorite bakery. Since we were getting married 3 hours away, we were to pick them up the day before in air-tight containers so they would be fresh. When we got to our hotel and begun prepping for the next day, we realized they accidentally put them in regular boxes and would be dry. We were disappointed because I had so looked forward to my cupcakes! We sent Juli, the owner, a message explaining but not expecting anything to happen. She quickly responded, went into the shop first thing on Sunday (when they weren’t even open) and made us all new cupcakes ready in time for the wedding! They were amazing!! Such a hit! And I am so so grateful for Juli and for their quick response and help. Sweet Reasons remains my favorite shop and I can’t wait to go there every year to celebrate our anniversary. We love them so so much.

Best Wedding Desserts Ever

We got a cutting cake and cupcakes for our guests. Everyone loved the cupcakes. It was hard to keep everyone from devouring the whole table. Will definitely turn to Sweet Reasons for all our sweet needs

Yummy cupcakes

Sweet reasons did a great job for our wedding. Everyone was satisfied with the cupcakes, especially the black and white. The leftovers afterwards were delicious as well!

Customs Cakes and Cupcakes

Sweet reason is amazing! When I contacted them I had two months to get my wedding together and they were fast and speedy at getting what I wanted and scheduling them in. I was so happy with the cupcakes and my custom cake for my wedding. Not only did it look amazing but it tasted even better. I would use them for any future events i have, so you should too.

Best cupcakes ever... seriously

Sweet Reasons are the most delicious cupcakes I've ever had... and I'm a bit of a cupcake snob! My favorites prior to tasting Sweet Reasons were Sprinkles and Georgetown Cupcakes. My cousin who lives in fredericksburg recommended Sweet Reasons and my fiance and I decided to stop by one day on our way back home from southern virginia. We walked in to order cupcakes and told the employees that we were going to schedule a tasting. They immediately accommodated us that day for a tasting on the spot! They were the best cupcakes I'd ever tasted. There was no negotiating where our cupcakes were going to come from for our wedding. Our guests are still raving about those cupcakes one month after our wedding. We ordered velvety red, black-and-white, carrot cake, and strawberry chiffon. There are several other flavors that are absolutely delicious like peanut butter chocolate! The professionalism with helping us to decide what cupcakes we wanted and how we wanted them decorated with pearls for a more formal look was incomparable! Pricing was reasonable and they offer their cupcake stands for rental.

Everyone went on and on about how it was the best dessert option at a wedding they had seen. The topper kept falling off, but I think that's because it was awkward. All over wonderful experience.

Loved working with Juli & Kim & their team. From the initial consultation & contract, through the tasting process & finalizing order, all the way to the thank you card & return deposit, Sweet Reasons was very professional. They are a great growing business in Fredericksburg. The delivery & set up fee were well worth it. The cupcakes were a hit with all of our guests. I appreciated the option to customize the icing style & decorations to fit with our overall style. Our cutting cake (Cookies & Cream) was delicious! Seriously, I think it's the best tasting icing I've ever had. Thank you Sweet Reasons!

Tip: return the display plates cleaned and in good shape to get your deposit back!

I've always loved their cupcakes and knew if I ever got married that I would use them for the cake. That finally happened and I'm so glad that we went with them - their cupcakes were absolutely beautiful and delicious.

WOW! This literally was the icing on the cake for our wedding! Our wedding was the perfect day, and Sweet Reasons was an integral part of that. We got cupcakes for our guests, and a wedding cake for us to cut traditionally. First, the display was immaculate- something you would see in cupcake wars. Sweet Reasons sat the display perfectly under the lighting, and the colors of the cupcakes popped perfectly for our guests to see. The cake tasted amazing, and the cupcakes were a huge hit! We had 115 guests, and ordered roughly 140~ cupcakes. We were looking forward to taking the extras home to save, but we only had 3 cupcakes left! Everyone enjoyed them, and commented how delicious they were! Thank you Sweet Reasons for being a part of our special day, and for your suburb customer service, and professionalism. I HIGHLY recommend you choose Sweet Reasons for your wedding!

It was such a pleasure working with Juli throughout the process. She was very accommodating to our vision for what the dessert setup would look like. The cupcakes are amazingly delicious. The guests all raved about them and our moms fought over who would get the leftovers as we were leaving soon for the honeymoon. The variety ensures everyone will be happy. The cupcakes are reasonably priced and for the service that you get it is all worth it. I highly recommend Sweet Reasons.

We used Sweet Reasons for our wedding and we were sooo happy! The cupcakes are AMAZING! They are so well decorated too! We had a wide variety at our wedding and everyone raved about them! They also helped us with a small cake to do our traditional cake cutting and it was amazing too! We opted to have them deliver and set it up and it looked amazing! We left them a few decorations and they made it look perfect! It fit right in with our theme.

AMAZING!!! We had 80 guest and ordered 6 dozen cupcakes (5 different flavors) and only had 6 cupcakes left over and we were wishing for more because they are so darn delicious!! In addition to the cupcakes they made a small round marble cake for us (bride and groom) for the traditional cake cutting. Everyone LOVED the cupcakes and we are still being asked where we got them from. We've been to a few BBQ since the wedding and were asked to bring cupcakes, that is how good they are. Juli has a store front in Fredericksburg where you can stop by and purchase cupcakes too. My husband does not have a sweet tooth, but every time we are in Fredericksburg we stop for cupcakes now.

Thank you, Juli, for a phenomenal job on our wedding cupcake tower! Juli was incredibly patient with requests, allergies, and menu selection . . . and did I mentioned her cupcakes were DELICIOUS? Many guests (from cities all around the country) told us these were some of the best cupcakes they'd ever had. Overall, I booked Juli because she had a reputation for being considerate to her brides and easy to work with, and she certainly delivered on that and then some. She's very straightforward and won't pressure you into things that won't work for your wedding, so it's easy to trust her. Thank you, Juli!

We used Sweet Reasons for our cupcake favors. They worked with us to pick our design and flavors and were so helpful. The cupcakes were delicious and our guests still mention how it was the best cupcake they ever had! They were beautiful and so good! I would definitely recommend Sweet Reasons!

Juli was wonderful to work with! The desserts on the dessert table were delicious and there were so many different options!!! Sweet Reason's dessert bars are a great option if you are not a cake person. I would highly recommend contacting Sweet Reasons! Thank you for everything!

We LOVED the dessert bar Sweet Reasons created for our wedding! Juli was so wonderful and accommodating throughout the whole process. She even used some of the leftover flowers from our centerpieces to decorate the dessert bar and make it look even more beautiful. Everything was delicious, and our guests are still telling us how much they loved the desserts!

Love juli and her staff. Very helpful. The cupcakes for our wedding were out of this world. They were so delicious. The arrangement was beautiful. We even had a sign naming each one and what it was. They did and awesome job. We go there a lot too!

We had a great experience with Sweet Reasons and loved working with co-owner, Juli. From our initial inquiry, to the tasting, to the day of the event, she and her team were helpful, flexible and friendly. Most importantly, the cupcakes were delicious! We ordered four different flavors (black & white, carrot, lemon blueberry and cookies & cream) and we and our guests loved every one of them. We were only disappointed that there weren't more leftovers after the reception.

Juli was very easy to work with when we had special requests. Our family baked and decorated our "cutting cake" for the top of the cupcake tower and Juli was okay with that (when other bakeries were not) and when four of my guests requested gluten free cupcakes two days before the wedding, Juli happily added that to our order with no problems. Everything was delivered to the venue on time and arranged beautifully.

I ordered an assortment of sweets from Sweet Reasons as part of a sweet table for my client's wedding. Juli at Sweet Reasons is wonderful to work with, always offering suggestions and ideas of what would be good for each of the events. Everyone thinks that Sweet Reasons is just cupcakes, but I can assure you they are so much more. I wouldn't order for anyone else.

We LOVED sweet reasons! They were so helpful, and willing to work with us to make everything just the way we wanted. The decorations were beautiful and tasty! I love their marshmallow mums! They also made some amazing vegan cupcakes for some of our guests, and those guests were blown away by how good they were. All of our guests had rave reviews for the cupcakes!

Sweet Reasons did a wonderful job preparing 200 cupcakes with 5 days notice for my wedding! Our previous choice did not want to cater to our needs (colors, flavors ect). Sweet Reasons did everything we asked for and more with no hassle! They honestly saved a very stressed bride from a last minute crisis! I cannot thank them enough!

We had an all vegan wedding, including vegan cupcakes from Sweet Reasons! We had so many people come up to us and say "those are the best cupcakes we have ever had." They were moist, and held their shape well in spite of the heat that day. They looked beautiful and the staff all worked hard to make flavors that appealed to both my husband and myself, as well as our entire guest list.

Julie and her team did such an amazing job with our wedding cupcakes and went above and beyond what I could have ever imagined. Not only were the cupcakes to die for (and raved about for months by my guests) but Julie helped me find someone who had the same creative mind as I do when it came to centerpieces and what they both put together for me was wonderful. The cupcakes arrived to the wedding perfectly and everything went off without a hitch. They even made a wonderful guitar-shaped grooms cake that was perfect!

Sweet Reasons and Juli were absolutely fabulous to work with. She was so accommodating and open to any ideas we had, changes we wanted to make, etc. As for the big day, she was prompt, courteous, and was in and out in no time leaving the gorgeous arrangement of cupcakes. As for the cupcakes, holy moly. They are the best cupcakes we have ever had. Since discovering Sweet Reasons a couple of years ago, we haven't gone anywhere else for cupcakes! (or cheesecake for that matter, which SR's is AMAZING, check out the Pumpkin Cheesecake in the fall, it's to die for) Our wedding was last winter and we still have friends and family to this day commenting and asking about the cupcakes because they were so delicious and memorable!

My husband and I chose Sweet Reasons to debut at our wedding on 9/28/2013 at Lake Anna, VA. We had not planned to use them and we were originally going to another cupcake venue called The Icing in Stafford. However after meeting with our JP at Panera in Fredericksburg, we noticed their sign next door and decided to go in. Our experience from first stepping foot through their door was way beyond our expectations. We told the staff that we were getting married and the next thing we knew, we met the owner Juli and she was sending us out the door with 5 FREE cupcakes to try. We made it to the car and proceeded to try every cupcake in the box. Their cupcakes are AMAZING!!! Everyone at our wedding commented on how moist and tasty they were, and larger than the average commercial cupcake. We will always buy our cupcakes from Sweet Reasons for every occasion.

Juli is amazing to work with. She's so creative and has great suggestions. I have a dairy allergy so Juli was very accommodating. She knows events well and thinks of every detail. My husband and I came into Sweet Reasons for our tasting and Juli had everything set up and ready for us. The selection process and planning process was extremely easy. The set up at the venue went very well and looked fantastic! Everyone loved the cupcakes and couldn't wait to dig in. I would definitely recommend Sweet Reasons to anyone for any event. We've also picked up cupcakes for various events and they're great every time!

Not only was everything DELICIOUS but everyone at Sweet Reasons was so friendly! It felt like they were friends that were on our guest list. We got to sample several different flavors, all of which were amazing. In the end we decided on Pumpkin Spice, Vanilla, and Chocolate. Being our wedding was in the fall, everyone raved about how moist and yummy the cupcakes were. The only sad part about it all is that we had to wait a whole year to eat our anniversary cake! I'm so glad that the location is in Central Park in Fredericksburg now, it gives me a sweet reason to stop by and get a yummy treat after a long week at work! Everyone at Sweet Reasons is wonderful, reasonable and so flexible! I recommend them to everyone!

Sweet Reasons was AMAZING. Making sure our cupcakes were exactly how we wanted them prior to our wedding. Julie did a phenomenal job communicating with us making it one less thing to stress about, and the presentation/ set-up was perfect. I highly recommend Sweet Reasons Cupcakes for any event especially weddings!

Julie and her staff were completely professional and friendly. We were allowed to make any changes we felt were necessary all the way up to 3 days from the wedding. The cupcakes were a great idea, instead of just a sheet cake, because we had guests who wanted to enjoy their sweets later. All we had to do was have our tasting and pick our favorites, give Julie our vision and theme to the wedding, and she made the vision come to life. It was absolutely the best idea ever to go with Sweet Reasons. SO glad that they do every day sweets as well because we have visited them frequently (along with other friends and family) whenever we needed to fill a sweet craving without spending a lot of money or sitting down at a restaurant. Love love love Sweet Reasons!!

Sweet Reasons provided the cupcakes for my daughter’s wedding. They were delicious! My daughter and her fiancé tried many different vendors before settling on Sweet Reasons. The owner, Juli, met with them to discuss the flavors they wanted and even created a “Sweet Tea” flavor to reflect the North Carolina flavor they were seeking. The cupcakes were moist, delicious, big, and beautiful. The top layer was decorated per their specifications and the anniversary cake was nicely packaged. Everything was delivered on time and nicely arranged. The left-over cupcakes were still great days later. Loved Sweet Reasons!

I am writing this review based on the cupcakes that were ordered and delivered by my Matron of Honor for my bridal shower. She worked with the shop in Fredericksburg.

The stars are based on her reviews. This following is based on my review:

AMAZING red velvet cupcakes with the cutest design that matched the theme of the shower perfectly. The cupcakes were so amazingly moist and yummy. One of our guests actually went to the tower and hid a couple so she could take some home lol. We didn't mind. These confections will be feature attractions in upcoming dinner parties and girls night ins.

My husband and I were married this past weekend, April 28th, 2012. We had Sweet Reasons provide the cupcakes and they were amazing! We got so many compliments on them and everyone wanted to know where they came from. We sent many people their way! They were all beautiful and absolutely delicious!

This was a perfect addition to our outdoor themed wedding. The cake was beautiful, delicious and everything we asked for. The burlap accent was the perfect touch as well. Thank you for your vision and sharing your talents and creations with us! Would definitely recommend!

I ordered a few cupcakes for my wedding. Their velvety red raspberry cheesecake cupcakes are amazing, I will be eating that cupcake again! My father, who doesn't like cupcakes even loved that one. The only caveat was it seemed when I called to pay they hadn't received anything from the person I e-mailed so it seems there was a bit of miscommunication between e-mailing and calling the store but everything got figured out.

Juli and the Sweet Reasons Team were AWESOME! It is over a year later and our guests are still raving about how good the cupcakes were! I didn't want the typical cupcake tower to display our cupcakes, I wanted more of a "Cupcake Bar" feel with different heights of cake stands/displays to make the table interesting. Not only was Juli really excited about the display, she and her team executed it perfectly! I continue to be a customer of Sweet Reasons and really believe they are better than ALL of the cupcake shops in the DC/VA/MD area!

After touring a number of traditional wedding cake bakers in the Fredericksburg area, we decided on Sweet Reasons. We picked this shop because they offered a dessert buffet rather than just a traditional multi-tier cake.

The desserts arrived to our venue on time and were set up beautifuly. The table looked great; even more important, everything tasted excellent. The guests at our wedding loved the dessert buffet concept. Many commented on how they liked being able to have small "samples" of pie, brownies, cheesecake, and cupcakes- not just a slice of cake.

Sweet Reasons was fun and flexible to work with. We met a few times to discuss and sample the desserts, look at the serving pieces, and decide on a table layout.

The shop is extremely busy, so there were occasional delays in communication. Overall, however, Sweet Reasons did an amazing job on the desserts at my wedding. I would highly recommend them for any event!

Julie and the staff at sweet reasons were amazing! She was able to meet all of our needs and then some. They even went as for as decorating the table and area around our cupcakes! I would definetly recomend her to all of our friends and family.

If you're doing cupcakes, do yourself a favor and get them from Sweet Reasons! You and your guest will not be disappointed with the many varieties they offer. The owner, Juli, was a little hard to get in contact with and at times seemed not on her A game, but at the end of the day, everything was perfect and delicious :)

Ever since the first time I tried their cupcakes I knew that they had something great going for them. So when it came time for picking out a vendor for my wedding cake I knew I had to give them a try. From the friendliness of the staff to the knowledge of their trait this people really got it going. It took a few tries to get everything nailed down but noting that they were very slammed with mother's day and graduation season I can say that it was a great response time, confection and delivery of the product. We had a little hiccup with the cupcake wrappers but the owner was very attentive and did her very best to send out immediately a group of girls to hunt for them eventually they were not able to find them but they delivered greatly with a different wrapper that was as appealing to the eyes as the other one on top of that they gave us back a complete refund for the wrappers. Also our date was a very quick turn around and when we made the order official they had no delivery available for the date and time, non the less they went way out of their way to ensure that our experience was a worry free one and they took the time to deliver the cupcakes to our caterer even though they had no more space for it. Now that is quality of service!!!! Now for the cupcakes and the cake, they were gorgeously decorated and the cutting cake was beautiful. Rustic and modern all in one. The cupcakes were flavorful and they were both in the Primrose and Blueberry Lemon flavors. Everyone loved the cupcakes and we were so pleased with them and their service that we have no words to describe it. Juli and team, thank you very much for making of our wedding day a truly special one! You guys are great!

Coming from someone who has had their fair share of mediocre cupcakes, Sweet Reasons really does live up to the hype and has the best cupcakes we have ever had. We used them for our wedding in July! The cupcakes are really big (honestly bigger than your average slice of cake) and they customized every bit of them! We got to choose all the way down to how the cupcake is iced. Highly recommend Sweet Reasons! So tasty!

We tried a TON of cupcake places in the Northern Virginia/DC area and Sweet Reasons was by far the best! They worked with us to create custom flavors- which were a hit!

We were a little worried at first due to some delay in communications but in end the Sweet Reasons went above and beyond and was our most reliable vendor. We still have some frozen cupcakes a year later and they are still quite tasty to thaw and eat!

We had Sweet Reasons cupcakes for our wedding. The cupcakes were absolutely delicious and affordable! I was extremely pleased because I wanted a flavor (Chocolate Raspberry) that they did not make at the time, but they were willing to create the flavor for me! We did a taste testing to make sure I liked it and I LOVED it. Sweet Reasons was by far one of the easiest vendors I worked with during such a stressful process.

Delicious Cupcakes

We hired sweet reasons for our wedding because we LOVE there cupcakes! I always get cupcakes from here for my birthday, my husbands birthday, my brothers birthday, pretty much any time I am in charge of getting cupcakes for any event I am coming here. They are literally some of the best tasting cupcakes we have ever had. Initially, we had some issues trying to get them booked but in the end Juli came through for us and made sure that we were taken care of for our special day.
Everyone at the wedding LOVED the cupcakes! To the point where we only got one bit of one because everyone had taken all of them, there was not a single leftover.

Juli was awesome with helping me plan my cupcakes for the wedding reception. Since my reception was not local, she helped package the cupcakes so they would be able to travel. As always, Sweet Reasons has the very best cupcakes in Virginia! My guests absolutely raved about how good the cupcakes were! My husband and myself and all of our guests were very pleased with our delicious variety of cupcakes. Not only did they look beautiful but they were so delicious most of our guest over indulged on several cupcakes. These cupcakes were top notch. We ordered cupcakes for our wedding reception, and our guests loved them.

The tasting / design process was very fun: getting to try the cupcakes, but then also chatting w/ the staff about how to decorate them.

Coordinating with them was a bit rough: it was hard to get them on the phone or to respond to emails. But once the cupcakes arrived, everything was wonderful.

Would definitely use them again for future events.

Sweet Reasons made my cupcakes and cake for my wedding! The cupcakes all looked so cute and perfect. The price was within my budget. They are willing to help out in any way they can. However, my wedding was within a busy time for then, so it took a while to hear back, but they eventually did get back to me before the wedding of course, Another thing is my guest at my wedding said the cupcakes were a bit dry.

Very quick and easy to book. It was a lot of fun coming in and tasting all the different types of cupcakes. The ladies were so nice, and they took their time with us. Everyone loved the cupcakes and they had these cute little plastic containers to take home the cupcakes that we used for favors. They delivered on time and even took their time to put the cupcakes out on display in our rather complicated crate setup. Communication was my only issue. Very slow and inconsistent in responding to emails, but I just ended up calling when I needed an answer.
