Sweet Escape is amazing and provided the exact wedding cake we visioned! It was so beautiful and tasted great! We also had them do our groom’s cake for the rehearsal dinner the night before and it was phenomenal! They brought to life exactly what my mother-in-law wanted to represent my husband’s favorite city and sports teams! I highly recommend Sweet Escape for all your cake needs by especially your wedding!

Perfect Wedding Cake and Incredible Experience!
We couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Sweet Escape Cake Company! From the very beginning, the staff was absolutely amazing and so helpful in guiding us through choosing the perfect flavor for our wedding cake. They made the process fun and stress-free, which meant so much during such a busy time.
Our cake turned out even more beautiful than we imagined—truly stunning and exactly what we had hoped for. And on top of that, it was incredibly delicious!

Best Wedding Cake Ever!
I LOVED working with Sweet Escape on our wedding cake. I wanted something traditional and timeless and they delivered. Also, we had a number of guests with dietary restrictions (vegan, GF, etc.). They have so many options to accommodate those guests and they taste truly delicious. I will absolutely be looking for any excuse to get some sweet treats from them again.

After being told at another bakery my wedding cake ideas were not appropriate or recommended I was so worried about finding a new place. We came across this bakery and tried again. Great cakes and service!
Using Sweet Escape was so easy for our wedding!! We were able to get in quick for a cake testing, and ordering that day was so easy! The flavor choices were amazing! We requested a dog cake for our dogs attending the wedding, and they just did awesome!! Everything was perfect, and it helped make our day so much easier. Absolutely Delicious and Seamless Experience!
We worked with Sweet Escapes Cake Company for our wedding on October 26, 2024, and couldn’t be happier with the experience! From start to finish, everything was wonderful. The tasting process was one of our favorite parts of wedding planning — we spent a great afternoon sampling different flavors and fillings, and the team made the whole experience fun and relaxed.
In the end, we chose carrot cake and red velvet cake with buttercream filling, and they were both incredible! We received so many compliments from our guests about how delicious the cake was — moist, flavorful, and beautifully decorated. The delivery and setup on our wedding day went perfectly smoothly, which gave us one less thing to worry about. We used flowers from our florist and they also worked with us on that.
We highly recommend Sweet Escapes Cake Company to any couple looking for a cake that tastes as amazing as it looks. They truly helped make our day even sweeter!

A Most Successfully Beautiful Sweet Escape!
After an unsuccessful bakery experience at another company, we were happy with the responsiveness of SEC. All the information we needed was up front on their website which was also easy to technically respond, and from their personal e-mails in timely reply. The cake tasting experience in their private room was most welcoming and offered us an unexpected "must-try" additional option that we finally included as one of the tiers in our wedding cake - butter pecan!
The delivery of the wedding cake was on-time and was an amazingly beautiful piece of art. We had recommended a contemporary look and SEC produced a cake that was what we exactly wanted - how did they know? The 2 women who delivered the cake couldn't have been any nicer, as were the staff women at the tasting.
The pricing and value we received was a deal. They will keep you updated as to expense and amounts due.
Throughout our experience with SEC the staff was at all times professional, friendly/welcoming, and very importantly, responsive to multiple questions. They keep you informed from the day of your initial inquiry, through the process of choosing options, to the approach of your special day.

We booked Sweet Escape for our welcome party the night before the wedding and they were fabulous! We had a variety of cake bites for our guests, and the flavor selection was great! It was nice to pick and choose how many of each flavor we wanted, and to have a say in the design and look of them as well.
We also used Sweet Escape for a groom's cake. We gave them ideas and the inspiration and they took it in stride! I asked for a cheesehead to show off my husband's Packer's love and they nailed it! Even with the logo! Highly recommend!

We loved working with Sweet Escape! They have a very friendly team, and we had such a great experience from the cake tasting, up to wedding day! We just wanted a simple 2 tier cake and it looked incredible and just how we hoped! The butter pecan flavor with the caramel filling was incredible and everyone loved it!! Gluten Free Tiered Wedding Cake Option
We were impressed with the cake tasting about 10 months before our wedding. This was one of the few that offered a tiered gluten free option for my partner. They also offered me tasting of the other flavors for which we selected raspberry cupcakes with cheesecake filling to go along with the gluten free chocolate tiered wedding cake. Their design expertise for the wedding cake was exceptional. There are many photos of wedding cakes they have done to give some ideas for your perfect wedding cake. On the day of the wedding the tiered cake and cupcakes arrived right on time. We loved the final design of the tiered wedding cake which was delicious. All of our guests complimented us on such a good tasting wedding cake and cupcakes. A helpful hint when tasting the flavors available, try the chocolate last as that flavor will over power your taste buds from the other cake flavors offered. Definitely recommend this place for your wedding cake (or even cupcakes for other family events).

Sweet Escape was great to work with for our wedding cake and desserts! They were professional and had great communication. We provided a couple decorations to add on our cake (dog figurine, flowers, cake topper) and they made sure they knew exactly how we wanted them placed on the cake. They also delivered the cake and desserts to the venue which was one less thing to worry about on the day of the wedding.

We did a small cake for the cake cutting and cupcakes for the guests. They were a HIT! The butter pecan and strawberry were definitely the favorite flavors, but all of them were so good. It was such an easy process and our cake was beautiful and fit in perfectly with our theme. Definitely would recommend them and will be using them for future events.

The cake for my daughter's wedding was 4 layers of different delicious flavors. From the tasting at Sweet Escape to enjoying it on the wedding day, our experience was perfection. The cake was absolutely delcious. We had ordered extra cake, hoping some would be left to take home for the next days festivities. Not a crumb was left. Plenty of cake options and choices of fillings and icings. Every cake at the tasting was so delicious. Highly recommend - the pricing is reasonable, delivery fee is reasonable, and the cake itself is incredible. We tried several different cake shops in the Indianapolis area, including a “big name” bakery in Carmel but Sweet Escape takes the cake!

Very Satisfied Customer!
I ordered from Sweet Escape for my son and fiancé’s wedding. We never did a cake-tasting since we all live out of town. I sent them a picture of what we wanted for the Bride and Groom’s cake and what we received was perfect! The delivery time was just what we had agreed upon as well. Their communication via email was always prompt and the payment method was super easy! Speaking of payment, I felt their prices were very fair and reasonable! And now to the cake…. The cake and cupcakes were SOOO moist and fresh. The frosting was divine!! We received so many compliments from our guests on the cake and cupcakes. I even ordered a dozen gluten free cupcakes and those were just as moist as the regular cupcakes. In fact, three days later and they are still moist and delicious!
If you are planning a wedding in the Indy area, I would highly recommend Sweet Escape Cake Company. They will not disappoint !!

Best cake I’ve ever had
My husband and I purchased a very small cake for our intimate wedding ceremony. This was the best cake I have ever had in my life and I am not a big sweets person (although my husband is). We both loved it. They treated us just as if we were buying a large cake for a huge wedding. They were completely open to any and all requests we had even though we ended up picking the most basic cake possible (we are simple people). But I would highly recommend Sweet Escapes Cake Company 10/10.

Wedding Cake of our Dreams
We worked with Sweet Escape Cake Company for our wedding cake. We did a two tier simple buttercream cake with lemon cake and strawberry mousse and vanilla cake and strawberry mousse and got kitchen cakes to supplement for the rest of our guests. The cake was an absolute hit. People were lining up grabbing it from the waiters before they could even set it done. Working with Sweet Escape was extremely easy and straight forward as well. I would highly recommend for any of your wedding or event needs!

Amazing Cake, exactly what we wanted.
First off, they had amazing flavors to choose from! We could not decide, so each layer of our cakes was different. Top tier was funfetti, middle tier was butter pecan, and the bottom layer was chocolate cake with cheesecake filling. Everyone at the wedding had nothing but amazing things to say about the cake. They took the example photos we gave them and made us a beautiful cake, exactly what we wanted. Could not have been happier! 10/10 would recommend!

We used them for our wedding a couple weeks ago. Scott and Amy were so great to work with. The cake was gorgeous! The flavors were amazing. We went with chocolate, cherry chip, and red velvet. They were all so good! Cherry chip was our favorite! They did an awesome job on the cake, everyone was so friendly, and they delivered our cake for us the day of the wedding. We had cupcakes as well as a gluten free cutting cake for my husband and I’s wedding. The gluten free cake was by far the most delicious gluten free cake I have ever had. Usually gf flour makes cakes taste very dry. This cake was far from that! It was soft and a perfect texture. I also heard from my guests that the cupcakes were perfect as well. Highly recommend anyone that needs cupcakes or cakes for any event.

I love this bakery
Sweet Escape did our wedding this past December. They were great to work with and I highly recommend them. Their cakes look amazing and tasted just as good as they looked. We didn't book the day of our tasting as we had 2 other tastings booked. The staff is very personable and really seemed enthused to create what we wanted. Our other two stops included tons of up selling at the first stop and really dry cake at the second stop. We used this again this past weekend for my niece's 3rd birthday and delivered again. We found them last minute after our cake order fell through. They made an amazing cake and were amazing to work with. We did a 3 tier cake and spent right at $500 but really felt we got service like we had spent thousands. We have been back since for birthday cakes and will continue to use them!

I hired Indycakes to make our wedding cake in late June. It was fantastic!! We had 3 different flavors ( carrot, lemon, and chocolate) and they were all a hit at the wedding! The place doesn't seem like much from outside when you visit but the cakes they are delivering are top notch!! I was referred to them from a friend who also had them make a beautiful wedding cake! Reasonable cost and very easy to work with! Thanks Indycakes, I will definitely be using you in the future!

I called only weeks before we needed our cakes. Indy Cakes were able to fit us in to their very full schedule!!! We had a travelers theme as my son and daughter in law have traveled and lived in several countries. Guests took oictiednif the cakes and were amazed my the detail an how the cakes looked like travel cases and backpack. Bonus in addition to the cakes being beautiful, they were delicious!

We had such a perfect and gorgeous wedding cake - exactly as envisioned!! We also had a super fun and creative grooms cake. Moist and tasty in every bite as well. It was very easy to work with Jill and Cathy as well to create our dream designs. They kindly extended a 10% discount offer when we pre-paid toward future servings we needed. I was referred to Indycakes by my wedding planner. They were able to immediately book me for a cake tasting. Everything was delicious, especially the cake bites! My husband and I wanted a small 6-inch round cake to cut for pictures (and to share with parents and grandparents), with a dessert buffet of mini cupcakes and cake bites. I was not sure what I wanted the cake to look like, but Jill offered plenty of suggestions on decorations and it turned out beautifully. Everything showed up on time, it was delicious, they were beautifully made, and people kept getting seconds. The only only thing that I would have changed is that I definitely should have listened to Jill's advice about how many to order (we had over 200 guests) -- I was advised to order more than I did, and I ended up ordering way too few cake bites and cupcakes! People kept coming back for more and we ran out quicker than I thought! Order more than you need.

Our cake was so beautiful. We got so many compliments on it throughout the night. It was very original for out theme. They were so willing to make it our own so that we would love it. Everything was easy and fun, from the cake tasting to the wedding day. And we get to enjoy it again on our wedding anniversary! They're pricing was the best around and it is very good!

Kathy with Indy Cakes was great to work with. I met with her one time, told her what I wanted, and she delivered. She is very affordable and the cake/cupcakes were very delicious. I also ended up using her for my sons 1st birthday cake and it was perfect as well. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.
