Always Prepared and Professional

Vicki was always early, prepared, and professional. Her ceremony guide was very thorough and helped us figure out every detail of what we wanted. Her preparedness greatly helped us feel at ease on our wedding day. I would recommend Vicki to anyone!

Awesome Wedding Officiant

We really enjoyed our experience with Vicki. Very kind and professional. The provided ceremony file helped us create a very personal and memorable ceremony script. When there was a chance of rain she was down to brave the elements. Thankfully, we had a nice clear morning and Vicki was awesome.

Vicki was professional, punctual, and contributed plenty to the wedding process. We are very happy we decided to go with her! She covered all styles and truly allowed us to personalize our ceremony as we did not want it overly religious. Great experience.

Susan the wedding celebrant!

We contacted Susan to officiate our wedding and we are so glad we did! She was very kind and understanding as we worked through the wedding details. My now husband was deployed during the planning and she gave me all the information I needed to relay to him. She gave me the flexibility to write my own ceremony and use vows from her book. She has a huge selection of options to choose from. We decided to go with a non-religious ceremony and I never felt judged for my choices. I received so many compliments from the guests about Susan. They loved listening to her. She brought life to my words. We are so grateful for her being our wedding celebrant. Highly recommend her!

We loved Vicki!

Vicki was so wonderful to work with and truly made our wedding special. She was able to fully customize a ceremony that fit us perfectly. The weather on our wedding day was not idea (30mph winds), and she was such a trooper the whole time and kept an endlessly positive attitude. I absolutely recommend her, and on top of that highly recommend bringing her in for your rehearsal. She made sure everything ran smoothly and was very clear, kind, and patient.

We had the absolute pleasure of having Vicki Turner as our wedding officiant on Sept 30, 2023 at NBG, and I couldn't have asked for anyone more perfect for the job. From the moment we met Vicki, she exuded warmth and professionalism, instantly putting us at ease during what can be a nerve-wracking time.

Vicki took the time to get to know us as a couple, learning about our love story and what made our relationship unique. Wonderful Experience

It was such a pleasure to work with Susan for our recent wedding. She was consistently very responsive and prompt, and answered all of our questions very quickly. The ceremony document which she provides allowed us to customize our ceremony exactly how wanted and on the day of the wedding she delivered it exactly as planned. The sand ceremony element was special and allowed us to have a special keepsake from the day. Our guests commented on how they enjoyed Susan's words for the ceremony. We would recommend her to other couples!

Vicki was extremely easy to work with and was helpful through every step of the process. From helping create the ceremony to mailing in documents to the court, and even providing references as to how the change my name, she was enthusiastic and experienced. Her resources for creating a custom ceremony were diverse and thorough which allowed us to create the perfect ceremony for us. She even created a keepsake book of our ceremony for us. I would recommend her to anyone getting married.

Best Wedding Officiant Ever!!!

We had Vicki as our wedding officiant and my husband and I both loved her!! She gives you so much information to make it easy for you to decide how you want the ceremony to go, she also has THE MOST CALMING PRESENCE, which helped both of us when we were at the alter. Perfect courthouse wedding in Smithfield

Susan was great! We put off contacting officiants until the last minute, and I was afraid we'd have a hard time finding someone on short notice. Susan responded to my email immediately. She was super helpful and accommodating. We wanted a simple "courthouse wedding" with just ourselves and my grandparents in attendance. Susan met us at a location of our choice, was very professional and very kind, and really made my grandparents feel welcomed and involved. Thank you Susan!

We love Susan!

Susan is warm, professional, talented, and just wonderful. My husband and I hired her on the spot after meeting her because she felt like family right off the bat. She will work with you as much or as little as you want. If you want her to take the reins, she will do so and will give a beautiful ceremony that will leave you no regrets. If you want to be more hands on, she will work with you and let you determine the outline and tweak the ceremony as much as you need until you are satisfied. She was also wonderful during our ceremony when we got an unexpected...let's just say....surprise! Out of nowhere, a residence that was close to our ceremony spot started blasting music incredibly loud. She handled this with such grace and humor that mitigated the panicky feelings I was having in that moment. Very detailed and emotional officiating!

We got married July 14th. We loved Susan! Well worth the price, even for the rehearsal. Everything (the WHOLE ceremony) is customizable but she has plenty of information to make the planning easy! We wrote our own vows and she types them on a little card for a keepsake. Very happy that I found her!

I really liked Susan. From the first meeting, she was so sweet, funny, and down to earth. You can tell this is her calling. I loved how she was able to give us freedom in our ceremony to make it more spiritual than religious. I was able to pick my own greetings readings, and piece together the vows I wanted. Susan went above and beyond and even came to our home for a pre-marital counselling session. She is so easy to talk to and gracious. This vendor is no doubt the best. She helped and was able to make time in schedule at last minute. She also helped us find a venue at last minute as well. Reasonable price and very sweet and help from start to finish, and I was scared cause I really did not get to interview or meet with her before hand. Took a chance and hit a home run. Start to finish Susan was a wonderful to work with. I live outside of the VA Beach area and was wedding planning from a distance. Susan fit meetings in with us when we traveled to the beach for planning and was always prompt in returning emails. She helped us craft a beautiful ceremony that was meaningful and personal. Susan Turner officiated our wedding on 11/19/16 and she did a beautiful job. From our very first meeting she exudes warmth and capability. She is meticulous about planning your perfect ceremony and really works with you to meet your needs. When I miscommunicated when our rehearsal was, her wonderful daughter graciously stepped in and ran through the rehearsal with us. Susan even had a propane-powered mini hair curler that she let me touch up my hair with right before the ceremony. On top of all that, she was patient and kind when I got forgot the marriage license and the ceremony had to wait 30 minutes while we got it. She is unflappable. We loved working with Susan!

Susan is the officiant you want if you're looking for someone who is as interested as you are in making your special day unique! She went out of her way to make a meeting to customize the format of our wedding and emailed us a rough draft the same day. My husband and I had a Dr.Who theme and she introduced the most touching quotes possible. I cried through the whole ceremony with a smile on my face. Not to mention how passionate she is about her work she even put on a bow (a theme for the wedding party) and made a keepsake booklet containing out vows. She was wonderful and made the process less stressful. She worked with me via email, since I was in another state planning a beach wedding, to make sure I had the ceremony that I liked the best and went well with our wedding. She gave her input on how we would include a sand ceremony, shortened the whole ceremony because we weren't going to have chairs for our 10 guests, and really made everything work with our theme.

Susan Turner was absolutely amazing. My fiance and I were planning on just taking care of everything at the courthouse but at the last minute decided we really wanted an experience that was a little more special for us. I found her reviews online in the middle of the night and she replied to my email first thing in the morning. Even though it was last minute and the weather forecast wasn't great, she met us and our families and friends at the beach and performed a wonderful sand ceremony with a beautiful vase she decorated herself and her own colored sand she brought in case it was too cold and rainy to use the beach. Overall it was an amazing experience and we couldn't be happier with everything.

Truly a wonderful experience that Susan Turner was instrumental in creating. As the main focus for any wedding, the ceremony is the most important. Susan Turner was very professional, helpful, and flexible. She carried out our wedding ceremony wishes beautifully! The system that she has for creating and customizing your own ceremony is very helpful. She was there to make suggestions if needed and responded to emails immediately.
