If you’re anything like me and you’re on the fence about a videographer - 1. You need one, and 2. It needs to be Rob!! My husband and I went back and forth about hiring one for a while, and finally I reached out to Rob just to chat and learn more while we were considering it. Rob was super personable and easy to work with from our first conversation. It was clear he was super knowledgable and loves what he does! He answered all of my questions transparently, and shared the value of a video, without being pushy/sales-y at all, which I really appreciated. A few months after our wedding, it was truly one of the best decisions we made!!
The wedding day was so perfect, but seemed to go by SO quickly! The day of, Rob was always present without being 'in the way' and he fit in perfectly with our group! Watching our videos back, we were reminded of beautiful moments from the day, but we also saw some moments for the first time! It was so fun to get a sneak peek so quickly, and the full video was shared much more quickly than what we've seen with our friends using other vendors. The quality was phenomenal - we trusted Rob’s artistic vision and he more than delivered! I am SO SO grateful to have these amazing videos to look back on and share with our loved ones. I will always cherish having our ceremony and the kind words of our parents/ best friends memorialized forever. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND! -

Rob did an amazing job throughout our wedding weekend. He was consistently prepared to mic up the relevant guest/speaker, and blended well into the crowd. In the hours leading up to the wedding ceremony, he did a great job at the First Look to help us navigate all of the chaos. He created a ~1 minute highlight reel of our wedding only 48 hours after the big day, and it was the first recap Marin and I had seen after the wedding. It was AMAZING. We clearly chose the right videographer, and are very thankful to Rob. -

Authentic Moments & Cherished Memories
The bride & groom were apprehensive about hiring a videographer since they already had photographers for the wedding. I was adamant about utilizing a videographer and I retained Rob to capture their special day. After viewing the social media videos, my newlyweds were thrilled with my decision to hire Rob and then were “over the moon” when the highlight/cinematic film came back which captured moments they had forgotten about. Rob catered the videos to their personalities mixing in their sense of humor with amazingly sentimental moments. Rob also provides extra raw footage from moments throughout the day (toasts, first looks, etc). Needless to say, these video reels allows us to immerse ourselves again with all the laughter & excitement from that magical day. Thank you Rob for capturing these authentic moments and giving us such cherished memories. You’re the BEST!

I cannot say enough good things about Rob and the team at Surrender Films. My wife and I selected Rob as our videographer for our wedding out on Kiawah Island. From our first phone conversation, it was very clear how passionate and creative Rob is about making wedding films. We had many requirements in terms of how we wanted our video to be filmed, and Rob was able to meet every detail we threw at him. He is extremely professional, creative, and very thorough when it comes to prewedding planning for the shots and feel, as well as making sure we felt comfortable day of. If you are looking for a videographer in the Charleston area, Rob is your guy! Rob, thank you so much for all your work on our special day! -

Rob at Surrender Films was amazing. He took charge and really was a second guide throughout the day. He kept everyone up to speed and made sure we had everything we needed.
His vision and ownership in what we as a group wanted for our special day was exactly what we had hoped for in making memories to last forever!!

Rob was nothing short of amazing! He showed up early, was extremely patient and provided great direction. He was able to see our vision and make it happen. Rob’s turnaround time and work really displayed the love we felt that day! He was by far the most courteous and professional gentlemen we dealt with on our wedding day. The value he brings goes above and beyond. -

Rob and his staff shot our wedding in Hilton Head in May. They were so easy to work with! Rob shot our details while we were getting ready and worked seamlessly with our photographer who he had not worked with in the past. We got our trailer in 4 days! It was perfect and made us even more excited to see the full video! If you're debating on hiring a videographer, definitely cut the budget somewhere else and hire Rob! -

Rob at Surrender Films is AMAZING to work with!!! I was hesitant on hiring a videographer and I am so happy I found Rob. He truly takes the time to get to know you and answer any questions you may have before the big day.. and on the big day he is just MAGIC!! Everything went so smoothly with him and he was there (early!!) from start to finish on our wedding day. He released a sneak peak in less than 24 hours (which I watch everyday because it's that good) and I only know the real wedding video will be nothing short of amazing!! I highly recommend booking with him as you will not be disappointed. Thank you so much Rob for making our day so special!! -

If you are trying to decide if its "worth it" to hire a videographer, I can guarantee you that Rob with Surrender Films is well-worth every penny and may be the most important vendor you book! He exceeded all of our expectations and created more than a video, he told a story of us as a couple and truly captured our personality. He was able to film all of the important moments from our wedding without being obtrusive and generously worked with us to include additional footage of our bridal party playing a personalized trivia game and drone footage of our outdoor ceremony. We were truly blown away by the final video and were impressed by the quick-turnaround. Rob was amazing to work with and I would recommend him to anyone! -

Lindsey Sent on 12/11/2016Surrender Films is the best videographer you can work with! I never thought I would get videography for my wedding day but I am So glad that I did! When I saw how Surrender Films creates a story with their videos, rather than just being a random slideshow of the day or a boring one camera film of the ceremony, I knew that I was going to hire them for my wedding day!
Rob is awesome to work with and really captured our whole day while not being intrusive or in the way. I thought it was going to be super awkward being on camera all day (I like being Behind the camera...) but I hardly even noticed it after the first few minutes. I Love watching our video, my family and friends love it, and I can't wait to show it to my kids someday! :) -

Lauren Sent on 07/15/2016I swear that videography is that one thing every couple says they regret not having at their wedding, and I'm so glad I listened to that advice and found Surrender Films! Rob is truly a talented professional and he excels at what he does. Since we were planning a destination wedding, I appreciated that Rob was so easy to work with -he is super responsive on emails and was very organized and easy to communicate with leading up to the wedding.
Rob and his assistant, Lindsey, showed up prompt and ready to go the day of the wedding. We were not an easy group to work with; our rental house was packed and hectic with people getting ready and added onto that, we were graced with Tropical Storm Bonnie for our beach wedding! Rob and Lindsey were so calm and clear-minded in the presence of a lot of stressed people and altered timelines; we really needed that. Lindsey was so sweet; she was a lifesaver in lending us her clear umbrella which we used the whole day and it made its way into some great shots! Rob scoped out numerous alternate spaces for our first look when our original spot was not possible due to weather-he really got creative in coming up with potential options around Wild Dunes. Even though it was a backup plan, our first look turned out amazing! Rob was also not afraid to firmly yell at a guest who was about to walk through our first look shoot-believe me, as a bride, you want someone like him on your side! :)
Rob and Lindsey were so unobtrusive and just did their thing, we hardly even knew they were there. They were able to capture the story of our day from start to finish and had the vision in order to artistically piece it all together. I keep watching my sneak peek and gala film over and over again because I'm OBSESSED; they truly captured all the ins and outs of our story and all the memories of our day, even the little things that we missed! I can't imagine not having Surrender Films as a part of my wedding day-THANK YOU!! -

Marissa Sent on 07/06/2016Rob at Surrender Films is AMAZING! I don’t even know where to begin! He exceeded our expectations by far in every way! You can tell he loves his job and his ultimate goal is to capture your special down to every detail. He worked so hard and meticulously from the start. He is so professional, kind, calm, FUN and above all a TRUE talent in his profession! He is in a category of his own. We booked Rob just about a month or so prior to our Boone Hall Plantation Wedding. WOW! We are so lucky to have found him! He arrived to our beach house early and immediately began working on shots for the video. As an out of state bride and ..well being the bride in general.. the morning was so CRAZY. Rob never appeared stressed or frazzled. He remained calm throughout the entire day we spent with him. Lindsay, his assistant was also amazing. She was so kind and was very accommodating to whatever we wanted. We never felt like they were “in the way” and they fit in perfect. I can’t express into words how truly grateful we are to have our videos so we may share our day with others or just relive the day whenever we want. BRIDES-look no more and call Rob before your date is taken! You will be forever grateful! THANKS ROB! xoxo

Rhiannon Sent on 07/06/2016When your also in the wedding biz, you work with alot videographers and photographers- Robs work have always stood out to me. He was my first choice when we decided we wanted a video of our special day. He is so attentive, friendly, professional, caring and easy to work with. By the end of the event, he seemed like family. When we got our "short and sweet" video for our 1 month Anniversary it was perfect, it brought us back to our special day. My husband and I watched together with tears of joy over and over again. Then we received the rest of the videos broken down by the event, and alot of extras and photos we had forgot about. My husband originally didn't want a video, he thought we would "DIY with some go pros"-he didn't want the extra cost, but after seeing what all Rob captured for us on our special day, he is very happy and thankful we decided to have it done. Rob is the best, he is very talented, and it shows! Thanks Rob! -

I know a lot of people debate the value of getting a videographer for their wedding- YOU NEED TO DO IT! I saw a review before deciding to invest where a bride talked about how valuable her video became after the wedding when her father passed away and she had real footage and his voice on her special day. That sold me and my fiancé did research. Rob by FAR was able to offer the most value in his packages and had the best quality. Occasionally they have specials so we were able to save a little bit on his largest package. My fiancé did most of the communicating but the week of I was able to hop on the phone with him and review our timeline. On the day of, he worked really well with our photographer (Kate Dye!) and were both able to get incredible shots without getting in each other’s way. He had our trailer done the SAME WEEK as the wedding, which was beautiful to receive while still on our honeymoon. Rob is prepared to adjust as needed during the day- he even remembered a conversation we had that day about our favorite music artist and he was able to use that music in our video. You need a videographer and Rob is an EXCELLENT choice for the Charleston area.
