Sunflower Hill Farm was our first tour on our wedding adventure and it quickly became evident as we toured other venues that the choice was already made somewhere in our minds. The venue is beautiful and we couldn't be happier having chosen to celebrate our very special day there.
If the venue itself wasn't enough, Freyja went above and beyond to make the process as easy as possible for us, hosting us graciously multiple times to go over everything and then deliver Emily's exact vision for the entire day without any problems whatsoever. The entire staff was polite and professional and weaved through the event seamlessly keeping the tables clean and serving our meals.
Having the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all within the confines of the same venue made the day go off without a hitch and made us have to not worry about anything. We couldn't be happier with the experience and can't recommend this venue enough to couples looking for that perfect place. -

Sunflower Hill Farm is a slice of heaven on earth, your own little garden oasis. I promise you there's nothing else like it. Once my husband and I toured the venue we got the feeling right away this was our place, and the staff was so inviting. The entire team made us feel like family throughout the planning process and went leaps and bounds to make sure we had a stress-free day. I could not recommend their staff, venue, catering, or their food (so delicious!) enough. We received so many compliments the day of our wedding and even months after about little things their staff did to make the guest experience flawless and thoughtful that we didn't even know was happening behind the scenes. And I must give the biggest shout out to Freyja; I could not have gone through (or survived) the planning process without her. She's your coordinator extraordinaire, best gal pal, and makes all the magic happen. Our day was perfect, unforgettable, beyond my wildest sparkly dreams. I could not recommend this venue more -

Sunflower Hill Farm exceeded all of our expectations. Sunflower was the first venue that we ever visited and we always came back to it. We visited a couple of other venues after seeing Sunflower Hill Farm, but nothing quite measured up to this beautiful venue. We never felt pressured to commit to moving forward with this venue or putting down a payment right away, like we did touring some other places. You get reasonable, clear pricing, you know exactly what you are getting. This team is the BEST to work with. Freyja was our primary point of contact, she was always providing us guidance and support with multiple planning sessions. Rob was another point of contact and he always made us feel heard and supported. SHF may say that that they do not provide a wedding planner, but they provided as an abundance of advice. And everyone was so accommodating! They were very flexible with all of the on-site decor options as well! We always had an open line of communication, we never felt like we were a nuisance or had asked a dumb question. The team thought of so many different things to think about before we had even considered it, which allowed us to really look at what we wanted for the wedding day. We always got the autonomy that we were looking for in terms of making our own decisions, but Freyja's planning expertise opened up a lot of different ideas/options that we had never really considered. I was the nervous, anxious bride the morning of our wedding, running around and worrying about last minute details. I was worried that we were forgetting something. But Freyja kept reassuring me that the team had us and that everything would work out. My nerves slowly went away and that level of reassurance did so much for me! The day certainly did work out! We were blessed with beautiful weather for our October wedding day, but the beauty of this venue cannot be overlooked. The ceremony site is stunning, with a small and intimate space for our guests to join us on this special day. It has an amazing overlook so you can view the gorgeous flowers, vegetation and patio space. The reception area was perfect for our amount of guests and we had great Fall weather that allowed for us to roll up the windows in the reception spot, which only enhanced the experience. The food was top notch! When we had the dinner tasting several months prior, we knew that we were in for a special treat. But the quality of food transferred over to our reception to where we did not notice any dip in quality, even though we had an additional 100 people with us! The service staff were equally as impressive. From the bartender to the wait staff to the cooks... everyone was amazing in their respective role. We got so many compliments about the staff from our guests and all of the interactions were wonderful. You can tell that this team truly enjoys what they do every single day and they take great pride in it. And boy, are they amazing at it too! Sunflower Hill Farm truly wants every couple to enjoy their wedding day and they provide all of the resources in order for this to happen. We cannot recommend this venue enough, you will not be disappointed! -

This was the most amazing wedding venue with the most amazing crew! Freyja was an absolute joy to work with. She was easy and fun to communicate with and always accepting of our requests - very patient. Every aspect from the planning process to the day-of was impeccable! And the food made in-house, INCREDIBLE! We received countless compliments on how good the food was. The bartender crew and drinks were also great! Having Freyja there the day-of also made everything stressless and enjoyable. We are so extremely grateful and couldn't have been happier with having our wedding at Sunflower Hill Farm. Oh, and I couldn't forget the chickens and cats, they're the best! -

Freyja and the team at Sunflower Hill Farm truly made our day so special. Her helpfulness in the planning and decorating process was the best, she took all of our ideas and helped bring them to life. And the venue's staff & hospitality the whole night was incredible. We still have guests telling us months later that this was the best food, service, timeline., and wedding they had ever experienced. -

Perfect Wedding Day
We truly had the most amazing experience at Sunflower Hill for our wedding. As soon as we toured the venue we knew it was going to be perfect for our day. Freyja was so responsive to all my emails and was so accommodating for the entire process from the tour all the way to our wedding day. On our wedding day, I knew I could totally trust the staff to make sure everything ran smoothly and everything would be set up how I wanted. Freyja honestly took so much of my stress away throughout the planning process and on wedding day. I truly cannot say enough amazing things. Not to mention the venue is absolutely stunning. -

Perfection!
Sunflower Hill Farm is top notch in all categories!! We worked with Freyja from start to finish, and she could not have been more helpful. We used SHF for the venue, catering, and their gardener, Lucy (Moody Blooms) designed our florals. We received so many compliments from guests regarding the beauty and flow of the property, the food was excellent, flowers were absolutely stunning, and the entire SHF staff was so attentive and friendly!! We chose SHF hoping to provide guests (and ourselves!) with an unforgettable experience, and they exceeded all of our expectations! We can’t thank the staff at SHF, and especially Freyja, enough for helping us celebrate the most special day! -

Words can't express how grateful we are to have chosen Sunflower Hill Farm. Our April wedding date brought the worst flooding the venue has experienced in over 10 years and we were completely taken care of and it did not impact the joy of our wedding experience. Beautiful venue even if it rains. Freyja was an amazing coordinator and couldn't have played a better role in making our day as close to perfect as possible. In house catering was incredible and staff was complemented by so many guests. -

My husband and I got married in April 2024 here and it was an absolute dream. We were able to rent the venue for the entire weekend to have our dinner rehearsal and wedding at the farm. We stayed in the gorgeous farm house on the hill while we had our celebrations.
We worked closely with Freyja, Lucy (florist), and Rob to plan the perfect wedding weekend. I wish I could give more than 5 starts, they and their team exceeded our expectations. They went above and beyond to make sure your day was perfect. They were flexible and made sure you felt heard during the wedding planning process.
I would recommend that everyone check this place out!! Thank you to the sunflower hill farm team for our magical wedding weekend. -

My husband and I were married at Sunflower Hill Farms in November 2024 and we loved everything about the venue! It’s a beautiful place, but the people make it truly special. From our first visit, Freyja, Quinn and the rest of the team were so friendly and wonderful to work with throughout the planning process and on our wedding day.
Our main goal for the wedding (aside from, of course, getting married!) was to have a stress-free day full of fun with friends and family. Sunflower Hill Farms exceeded our expectations and made the entire experience even better than we could have imagined.
They really have a one-stop-shop feeling—catering, linens, decor, easels, vases, yard games, golf carts and an incredible florist. They offer so much in house, but also work seamlessly with outside vendors. We found that other vendors we worked with were familiar with Sunflower's great reputation.
The setting is amazing. Even in mid-November, flowers were still in bloom. The house on the property is perfect for getting ready—it has so much room for our wedding party spread out.
We definitely filled the ceremony site and barn to the brim (and beyond) with 200 guests, but everyone was comfortable and it made the day feel so intimate and special.
We took advantage of Sunflower’s catering and had an amazing BBQ dinner—guests are still raving about it. And the bar service was speedy—guests raved about that, too!
We loved getting married at Sunflower Hill Farms! We’re so grateful that we can visit their café to relive the memories of our special day with the wonderful people who made it possible. -

We just got married at Sunflower Hill Farm 2 weeks ago and it was beyond our dreams amazing! The venue itself is stunning - everything from the ceremony space, cocktail hour patio, wine cellar, outdoor areas/grounds and reception space is beautiful. We really wanted a wedding that was as outdoor as possible, but with a great back-up option in case of rain / heat / bad weather, and Sunflower Hill Farm was the perfect choice. While we did luck out and had a perfect day in terms of weather, we were really confident that even if we needed to move everything inside, it would’ve been beautiful. The venue also has an incredible getting ready suite - trust me you will want to use it on your wedding day! It made for the most amazing morning getting ready for the big day. In addition to the venue itself, we used their in house catering and the food was delicious!
Also, very importantly, the entire staff was incredible to work with. We worked with Freyja and she was the BEST!!! Communication was always speedy and so easy, which was really important since we live out of state and planned our wedding from out of state. Freyja was so great from the very beginning when she gave us our tour of the venue all the way through to the day-of. We always felt like we were in great hands with her and she was extremely responsive and helpful in making sure our wedding day was all we wanted it to be. She was even there to help my maid of honor bustle my dress! There really was no request or question that she couldn’t make work for us, and we are so grateful to have worked with her!
Do yourself a favor and book Sunflower Hill Farm for your wedding! You will not regret it!! We certainly loved it and our guests did too! -

Wedding Weekend
We had our wedding at Sunflower Hill Farm and the day was absolutely perfect. Freyja and her team were amazing. The communication and planning leading up to the event was awesome and they were accommodating to requests and changes. The day of was amazing, they took care of everything and all we had to do was show up and get ready. The whole night was a blast and we could not have asked for better. Above and Beyond
Wedding Review- Incredible staff, wedding coordinator and atmosphere. My Christmas/winter wedding dreams were brought to life with the breathtaking venue as the centerpiece to my vision. The venue also catered our meal and everything is locally grown and made from scratch so I was able to personalize/alter the menu to my taste. Highly recommend the mash potatoes and the mac and cheese (AMAZING!).
Shoutout to Moody Blooms for gorgeous flowers as well! -

Sunflower Hill Farm is the best wedding venue in the Midwest, without a doubt!! The TOTAL package!! We worked with Frejya and Quinn at SHF to plan our wedding while we were living *out of state* and it was a BREEZE (seriously!!) SHF is a family owned business and we felt like we were a part of the family throughout our wedding planning. The whole SHF team is full of kind and friendly people and it’s clear that they all love what they do, it’s infectious to be around 🤍 We only came into town about 4 times before our wedding (each time for less than a week) and SHF was very flexible to meet us and get everything together in these meetings. Bonus, we got to visit their gorgeous farm each time, surrounded by wildflowers and rolling hills, where they serve up the best lattes and homemade treats! One visit to the farm and you’ll know it’s truly everything you could wish for your wedding. SHF provided top-tier food, bar, table decor, on-site bridal/grooms suites, bonfire pits with s’mores, and more, which saved us so much time and energy, plus everything was PHENOMENAL. Also we booked Lucy, owner of Moody Blooms and who works on SHF, for florals which is a MUST DO!! No one does florals like Lucy, she’s got a true passion for florals and she delivered the most beautiful bouquet, boutonnieres, arbor design, and table decor, better than I could have ever dreamed up 🌻 Our photographers and videographer also all commented on how easy and friendly SHF staff was to work with, which speaks volumes!! SHF provided everything we needed and more, allowing us to be fully present and in the moment our wedding day since we had full trust that everything would be perfect—and it was truly the best day of our lives!!! We cannot wait to come back and visit and are beyond thankful to have had our wedding at SHF 💛

Excellent venue, awesome chef, and I can’t say enough about Carla who we worked with over a year in preparation for my daughters wedding day. Carla and Quinn are both amazing coordinators, and they took care of EVERYTHING I could have ever needed. They made my day go so smoothly, and anticipated anything I could need. Sunflower Hill Farm is the best wedding venue!! The reception area, ceremony venue, and house are so beautiful. Karen, the owner, has created such a lovely space for all kinds of events. The staff is truly what sets Sunflower apart from all others. From the very beginning of the planning process, Carla and Karen made me feel so secure in my decisions. They helped me through any questions I had. My mom and I became friends with them throughout the whole process. They treated us like family anytime we asked to walk through the property. When cover happened and couples started rescheduling their weddings, Carla called me right away to reserve a back up date. The day of my wedding, I was not worried about a thing because I knew that the staff at SHF would take care of it. I absolutely recommend this venue to anyone! -

The Sunflower Hill Farm staff worked tirelessly to make our wedding day perfect despite all the changes and stresses that COVID-19 brought. They answered phone calls and emails, worked with us to amend our plans and institute safety measures, and were both professional and personable throughout the entire process. It felt like they were just as dedicated to our wedding (and postponed celebration) as we were! Carla, Rob, and the whole team at SHF are genuinely wonderful and exactly the kind of people you want to be part of such an important day. Knowing their team was there to handle last-minute details, direct vendors, and ready to execute multiple backup plans in the unpredictable MO weather was such a gift and allowed us to focus on just enjoying our day. We are so grateful and would wholeheartedly recommend this venue to anyone! -

We would recommend anyone and everyone to get married at Sunflower Hill Farm. Carla was such a joy to work with and the entire process from start to finish was stress-free and flawless. The Wedding Planner
The Venue is your location and that is important. However, my husband and I have had two weddings, at two separate locations. The location is where your wedding takes place but WHO is behind your wedding is what you have to care about. The wedding planner is who MAKES your day and when it is all over with, you’re going to remember WHO much more than WHERE.
Freja was my wedding planner. She went above and beyond in her professionalism to ensure a perfect wedding experience and THAT is what we remember. It was a beautiful wedding, a perfect day, and a perfect place. We truly loved every aspect of our wedding weekend at Sunflower Hill Farms. -
