I seriously cannot say enough nice things about the team at Summit Farm. Susan answered every single question and last minute request I sent her, even if it was at 10 pm on a Tuesday night. It felt more like having friends plan my wedding versus paying a team to help me do it. Everyone there is incredibly friendly! Not to mention, the venue is GORGEOUS. I was blessed with the perfect weather, and they even brought out the cows for photos during the ceremony! How cool is that?! Everything, literally everything, went perfectly. I toured almost ten venues in person and researched many many more and Summit blew them all out of the water. If any of my friends are ever in the search for a venue, I'm absolutely sending them to Summit, we have zero regrets. They are absolutely worth every penny I spent to host our 85 person wedding. -

We got married at Summit Farm in December of 2025 and the space was stunning. Everything ran smoothly from start to finish. It’s clear the owners, Leta and Russell, take great pride in their venue. They were hands-on, welcoming, and wonderful to work with. Our coordinator and planner, Susan, was professional and listened to all of our requests. Service at the bar was quick and seamless, thanks to Sam, an amazing bartender. We really appreciated the "all inclusive" package that Summit Farm offers to take some of the stress of coordinating vendors off of us. The caterers/vendors we worked with were excellent and acommodated all of our needs. Our guests couldn’t stop complimenting the atmosphere and attention to detail. We couldn’t have imagined a more beautiful place to celebrate our special day! -

The venue, the staff, and the entire process was more than 5 stars. Absolutely worth the money, which is still less than most other venues somehow. This place is a GEM!! They helped me plan every detail from day 1, provided more support than I thought I would need, and made my wedding day absolutely perfect. There were no hiccups and every person from Summit Farms and their associated vendors was kind, punctual, and very communicative. Summit Farm made our wedding day absolutely effortless and beautiful. The venue is family-owned and operated, and that sense of closeness and pride truly shines through in everything they do. From the very first time I spoke with Becca, I felt like part of their family.
From our initial inquiry and tour to all the tiny details that come with wedding planning, their entire team was so supportive and organized. They work with an amazing group of vendors and handle setup seamlessly, making the process stress-free and smooth.
In the weeks leading up to our wedding, we always had someone available to answer questions, and on the day itself, our coordinator Kelly was wonderful — attentive, caring, and completely on top of every detail. Because of her and the Summit Farm team, I was able to focus on being present and soaking in every moment.
At the end of the night, the staff took care of all the cleanup and packing, allowing us to leave without a worry and continue celebrating. We couldn’t have imagined a more beautiful venue or a kinder, more professional team to bring our day to life. -

We had an amazing experience with Summit Farm Weddings! From the moment we arrived to tour the venue, we knew it was where we wanted to get married. The view is stunning, the reception barn is beautiful, and the venue staff is warm and welcoming. We loved that it is family owned and operated. Leta and Russell are so kind and helpful, and Becca made the planning process as easy as planning a wedding can be!
Our day-of coordinator Kelly was excellent - she kept everything moving and was our rock when things got chaotic due to a massive thunderstorm that rolled through during our ceremony. Despite the rain, the venue team was quick and efficient to get umbrellas out to guests and ensure we still got our perfect day. The power even went out, but the back up generator came on within seconds and powered us through the rest of the evening! When my bustles snapped, Kelly was right there ready to help us sew my dress back up. There was even a calf born during our ceremony, who they let us choose the name for which was another beautiful party of an already special day.
I cannot praise this team enough for our incredible experience - planning and executing a wedding is stressful no matter what, but Summit Farm made it as stress-free as possible. Every vendor that they connected us with were top-tier. Our stormy ceremony was captured by Morgan Gore Photography, who got STUNNING photos of our event. We only got a small cake for cutting from Veronica, but it was SO good that we wished we had more! Our DJ Rich from Complete Events was awesome and kept the crowd dancing all night, and our florist Judy from Hometown Florist created the most beautiful arbor and bouquets that perfectly complemented our color scheme. We also rented a photobooth from Michele at Blue Ridge Florist which was a huge hit! We had the BBQ menu from Bigun's and the charcuterie from Hannah at Black Oak Charcuterie, everyone was raving about the food all night.

Summit Farm Weddings was wonderful from the day we booked them until the very end of the wedding day. The venue is beautiful, and the staff is fantastic. I can’t think of a single thing they could have done better. They took great care of us throughout the process. We paid them about $16,000. It included the DJ, the bartender, the photographer, the wedding day coordinator, all setup and cleanup, table decorations, food for 65 people, including two extra sides and a delicious wedding cake, and $1000 for flowers. I highly recommend that you have your wedding at Summit Farm. You’ll be very glad you did!! -

I cannot write enough nice things about Summit Farm. The entire team is extremely hard working and makes sure that your day is going to be (and is!) exactly how you have always dreamed of. Becca is extremely kind and makes sure she understands what your vision is from the very beginning. I felt that I could always ask questions and she was always prompt and clear in responding. Susan is also amazing , she made us feel very prepared leading up to our big day and took extremely good care of us the day of as well. Sam, Leta, and Russell are also extremely hard working and kind to work with as well. We booked the vendors they recommended in their packages and were extremely pleased. From our DJ (Rich from Complete event), cake baker (Veronica), photographer (Kayla), and caterers everyone was just phenomenal. Also, the venue has so much amazing and beautiful decor to choose from. They make it extremely easy and set everything up for you so that there isn’t any added stress or work on you. I would highly recommend this venue and team to anyone wanting a wedding that is magical with planning that is smooth and easy from start to finish. -

I had such a wonderful experience having our wedding at Summit. Everything from the first visit to the ceremony was smooth and well done. The owners Russel and Leta are amazing, down to earth people and their whole family helps out with the wedding process. They are so kind, companionate, and really welcoming to their property. Being an all inclusive venue..Becca (the planner who is also so so sweet!!) will walk you through everything you need to start planning and connects you with all the vendors, gives recommendations, as well as works with your coordinator (Susan) to have your wedding be the night of your dreams. The decorator and bartender, Sam, has the most wonderful personality and really knows how to set a table and the mood to keep guests happy. Everyone whom i dealt with was inviting, warm and accommodating to any and every need we had; even going out of their way for a few. This family is the ideal need for any kind of wedding or special event you could ask for.
They have just about everything to make your vision come to life with how you want your reception to look and be. So many decor options to choose from and even a Pinterest board to visualize it.
The pictures definitely doesn't do this venue justice with how beautiful and amazing it truly is. From the mountain view to the draped barn; it really is breath taking. I chose October to have the leave changing for my photos and was blown away by how beautiful it all was cast against the blue mountains when i walked up day of. Believe me when i say it definitely is a sight to see in person.
Other things include: being handicapped accessible, aiding those who need it to get to the barn from the connecting gravel parking area, lawn games to play while the couples are taking photos, four different bathrooms connected to the barn, patio and smoking areas, and plenty of open room for dancing, rental house on site for wedding party/family (which is also a gorgeous little home).
I cannot express how thankful i am to have found and had the pleasure of having my wedding at Summit Farms. I highly recommend this venue. The kindness, surrounded by family and feeling like they're your own, to the amazing views, to the awesome look of the barn and property.. Thank you so much again for hosting the Connoles. -

My husband and I got married at Summit Farm on November 1st and it will definitely be a day we never forget. The staff is so sweet and accommodating...it rained on the day and they did everything possible to get us married outside (wiped off and placed blankets on the pews and provided everyone with clear umbrellas). Becca, the wedding planner, was so helpful and attentive throughout the entire experience. Russell, the owner, said a beautiful prayer for Chris and I the morning of the wedding and it was super special. And Susan, the day-of-coordinator, was amazing at making sure the day ran smooth and kept the groomsmen in line LOL. We love Summit Farm Weddings -

Words are so hard to express how smoothly my wedding went! Amazing, beautiful, easy, stress-free, smooth, honoring, caring, loving, helpful, and gorgeous are some of the ways to describe the opportunity I had to have my wedding in such a beautiful location! The mountains were perfect and no too overwhelming, the leaves were the perfect color, Susan my wedding coordinator was nothing but perfect in her mannerisms, leadership, helpfulness, and kindness towards me, my bridal party, and my guests. The venue was a package deal (which I LOVED) and I was able to pick from 3-5 options on florists, photographers, videographers, cakes & flavors & cupcakes, officiants, DJ, and more I am probably forgetting. Becca my wedding planner was amazingly sweet and patient with me as I navigated all the options and answered all questions I had in a timely manner. I never once felt like I did not know any of the details of my wedding and Becca really listened to my ideas and was able to put together an amazing day for me, my husband, and our family and friends. -

Update: We had our dream wedding this past Friday at Summit Farm! The roller coaster of emotions that occurred during the week leading up to the day can never really be described. We were all closely watching a hurricane that unexpectedly had us right in its path. If the team at Summit Farm was nervous with the storm, they did not convey it us. They were so reassuring and had back up plans already in place. Miraculously the weather cleared for our special day. We could not have asked for a better team to help us with our most favorite day. My husband Jared and I recently celebrated our one year anniversary and were thinking back on how special our wedding day was thanks to Summit Farm Weddings. I found Summit Farm Weddings online while researching for venues in the North Georgia mountains and reached out to Becca for more details. Becca was extremely communicative and helpful from the start. She’s very detail oriented and cared about making all the details of our wedding day as perfect as possible. When the day finally came, everything looked just like we had pictured and planned for. We really appreciated Susan’s attention to detail in making sure that the night ran smoothly. Russel and Leta were so nice and helpful and all the staff was great and made us feel so welcomed and cared for during the entire process. Gracie was so fun and stayed back with me after bridesmaids and groomsmen had already been sent to line up, which I appreciated so much. Jared and I highly recommend this beautiful wedding venue. Love at Summit Farm!
We got married at Summit Farm in July of 2023 and it was a fantastic experience! I had never set foot on the property before my wedding day (we live in Washington state) Becca and the whole team made it so easy to organize everything! Our wedding day coordinator Kelly was also such a delight I didn't think I needed but she was spectacular! The food they arranged was delicious and the photographer was great. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Summit Farms was the first venue we chose to look at. We met with Becca on a Sunday and they even kept a wedding they held the night before in place so we could visually take in what they had to offer. Becca walked us not only through the venue, but the whole process. She felt like a friend by the time we left. She really already had us sold. We didn't want to be those people who went with what we first saw so we looked at a couple other venues. But, they just did not feel right. We felt as if our wedding day would be more of a business transaction than an experience. From the moment we signed our contract, they were on it. It such a huge relief that they handle 99% of the planning, the 1% they do not handle, they have recommendations for, questionnaires, forms, etc. Their Pinterest page was a huge help in putting the items we were responsible for (decor / aesthetics) together. Becca was super responsive on any question I had and worked so well with us to provide the perfect day. What's even better, is you get the whole Hood Family when you have book at Summit Farm. The Hood Family (Russell, Leta, Becca, and Sam) are the greatest people you will ever meet. They truly work so hard and strive to make your vision come to life and ensure the day of runs as smoothly as possible. We also booked "The Lewis House" for the night before and of. The cutest home and SO spacious. Ellijay had suffered a storm a few days prior to our wedding that cut the power out to the farm and the home. Leta had called me the Thursday before to inform the barn was fine and everything was on a generator but the house was out of power and that the candles I wanted for the tables were on back order and delayed shipping due to the storm as well. She mentioned she had placed another order on Amazon and was hoping they would come in on time. The rehearsal came around and this where we really got to see Kelly, the day of coordinator, shine. The sweetest lady and let me tell you, she is on it! The rehearsal and day of ran so smoothly. She also assisted our photographer through all the pictures, from picking up my dress, to holding my flowers. Ugh, she was perfect!
Going back to the power issue, Leta kept me posted on the power status of The Lewis House all throughout the day Friday. She finally received word that the power had came back on while we were at our rehearsal dinner and we were able to stay both nights. A HUGE convenience to just be a minute away from the venue.
The next morning, they were working on putting everything together. The flicker (black) candles had not come in yet (these were originally to come from the florist and were on back order and hence why Leta ordered some herself), and sweet Leta, had gone to Walmart the night before to get dark blue candles and painted them black herself. I could have cried! We were totally okay changing our plan and using what was available but Leta was NOT having it. She told me she understood my vision and wanted to ensure I had it. It is just one testament of the type of people the Hood's are. We were SO lucky to have had them for our special day.
I feel like I could go on and on about how great our experience with Summit Farm was from beginning to end but I am unsure of how many characters these reviews allow LOL. If you are looking for wholesome people, who will literally put you above all things, this is the place. They are exceptional at what the do and I honestly sad our time with them has come to an end. You can not go wrong with Summit Farm. From the people, decorations, vendors, staff, the views, etc. it was all just so so great. We are forever grateful to have meet them and hope to maintain a relationship from afar. We are just so blessed and we could not have imagined our wedding any different. It was truly meant to be.

Summit Farm is the most magical, romantic, beautiful place to have your wedding! Becca ,Susan, and the rest of the team work over and above to ensure your day is perfect. My wedding fell on a very rainy day. I was heart broken. BUT the team a Summit Farm pulled off the most beautiful, cozy outdoor wedding under the Pavillion. It was even better than what I had planned outside with a mountain view! All their recommended vendors are AMAZING! Becca handles everything for you! I unfortunately had a stroke a few months before my wedding and Summit Farm went over and above to restructure my day and I never lifted a finger! Wow - where do I even begin? I can't even begin to describe how amazing this venue is... I will start with the Hood family. This was the very first venue I went to look at. The first day I went to see this venue, Russell and Becca were both there to show me around. I remember sitting inside the barn just talking to them about life and things that had nothing to do with my wedding day. I could tell right away that this family had strong family values and beliefs that really hit home with me. They took the time to get to know me, and they showed me that they truly care about their potential brides. I knew right away that this was the venue I was getting married at. Our coordinator, Kelly, did a phenomenal job during the event. I even had other guests coming up to me telling me how amazing she was and how everything went so smoothly the day of. Our favorite part about this venue was how they already have recommended vendors that they used for their weddings, and this helped our day flow so well because the vendors knew exactly what to do and where to set up. I am so blessed that we were able to get married here in October 2023. If you love fall like I do, I HIGHLY recommend choosing a fall date - the leaves are breathtaking! We recently had the most incredible wedding at Summit Farm in Ellijay, on September 2 2023, and I cannot say enough about this breathtaking venue. From the moment we laid eyes on it, we knew it was 'the one.' The view from Summit Farm is absolutely stunning, and it provided the perfect backdrop for our special day.
Becca and her family was incredibly accommodating, ensuring that every detail was taken care of, and they went above and beyond to make our day perfect, truly exceeded our expectations. Becca’s expertise in handling everything from start to finish made our wedding experience completely stress-free. She knows how to take care of her brides, We didn’t have to worry about a thing because Becca had it all covered.

Just do it
So living in Michigan, I was a bit apprehensive about booking a venue I wouldn't be seeing until my wedding day but WHOA it was totally worth it! Becca was amazing through the whole process and her mum and dad were absolutely fantastic the day of my wedding. I gave them creative freedom with my decor and I couldn't have been happier with the way it turned out. My day of coordinator, Susan, was really the cherry on top during my special day.
Everything was amazing; the food, the cake, the beautiful mountain backdrop..all of it. Overall just a great experience! If you're an out of state bride like I was, literally ZERO ties to the state/city, do not hesitate! It's worth that extra anxiety :) -

Prettiest Venue
This is the most beautiful venue around. The family that owns it are amazing people. The set up is beautiful and they handle everything to make it as stress free as possible. I really can't put into words how much we appreciated the staff. They helped organize the food, cake, DJ, florist, decorations and wedding coordinator. We are so lucky to have had them. -

WOOWWWWW!!! Summit Farm Weddings, Becca, Leta, Susan, Russell, Sam, Gracie, and all the rest of the staff exceeded my husband and I's expectations from DAY ONE! We toured in August 2022, and immediately felt at home from the kindness that Becca and her family expressed towards us. They instantly made us feel like a part of the family, from meeting their cat to meeting Fatso the farm dog! We KNEW this was where we wanted to get married, I mean, it's a GORGEOUS venue! From the mountain background of the ceremony to the beautifully decorated and lit barn. The staff set everything up and took everything down, took care of bartending, booked/organized all the vendors, and coordinated the whole day of. Summit Farm Weddings is a spectacular place to choose for your perfect wedding day! Our special day was meant to have 90% chance of rain all day with no break. The staff and family all coordinated seamlessly to make sure everything would be amazing no matter what the weather decided to do. Wish I could do it again. Absolutely amazing!
This was my first wedding so I didn’t know what to expect or how to plan or anything. We wanted to have a ceremony/reception in the same location with the mountains being in the background of the venue. When we found summit farms, we visited and it was beautiful. However, I didn’t know at the time that they had an ALL INCLUSIVE deal! That put the icing on the cake. They booked all of my vendors for me, did the setting up and taking down of decor, and I literally did not stress one second. I can not recommend this venue enough. It was absolutely amazing. My Husband and I had the most wonderful wedding at Summit Farm Weddings, it is a day I will never forget and cherish forever. We were able to enter into our marriage covenant in one of the most beautiful and self-sustaining venues I've been too. Not only does Summit Farm have packages that offer just about everything you need for a wedding celebration (i.e. free decorations, suggesting and making the arrangements with a food provider, florist, photographer, cake maker, etc.) the members and staff of the Summit team are personable, friendly, and understanding hosts that will do just about anything and everything to make your dream day come true. We know this first hand as our wedding day had unexpected showers that changed all of the ceremony arrangements last second (like 1-2 hours before the set time), and the team was incredibly accommodating, allowing us to set up the ceremony in a space that had never been for used for one before. Everything went more magically than we could have ever imagined, even with a situation that could have become a semi-tragedy. We highly recommend this venue and will always remember the best day ever in the most beautiful location at Summit Farm Weddings.Summit Farm Weddings's reply:

I have worked for many venues doing photography and Summit Farm is by far the most friendly and couple centered. I have seen the owner coloring with sidewalk chalk, calling cows up just for pictures, holding umbrellas and waiting for the photographer to get the shot and running back over to cover the couple. Summit Farms gave me the wedding of my dreams.
Being from South Florida, I had always dreamed of having a mountain wedding but had no idea how I would be able to pull it off. When I found Summit Farms on Google, I knew I hit the jackpot. From the moment I first talked to Leta on the phone, I knew there was something special about this venue, and the family that ran it. I booked it sight unseen - the phone call, virtual tour, and Instagram page were good enough for me.
The all-inclusive package was a dream. Not having to worry about booking and managing 5-10 vendors took SO much stress off of wedding planning. It allowed me to just focus on the fun part- my vision! Becca, Leta, and Sandra were amazing at executing everything I wanted, and were really flexible whenever I had a special request.They were extremely communicative, quick to respond, and just plain kind!
At the cake tasting, rehearsal, and on the big day, Russell and Leta really made us feel like we were part of their family. They demonstrated true southern hospitality with their warmth and kindness- making sure we were comfortable, surprising us with sweet treats, and overall being very calm and relaxed. They never made it feel transactional, it felt more like they were a family sharing their beautiful land with our family, which made our wedding day feel so much extra special. Everything from the food, the cake, DJ, flowers, decor, etc were truly perfect. You always hear about things going wrong on the wedding day, but I truly feel that my wedding was everything I wanted and MORE. I will forever remember this day as magical, and can’t wait to visit it again some day.
If you’re thinking about booking Summit Farms… just do it! :) -

Such a special venue & supportive staff
It was lovely having our wedding here - having so many of the vendors decided for us with the all-inclusive package was very helpful. I do wish I had experienced some better communication with some of those vendors but that is really my only suggestion. Summit Farm is first and foremost gorgeous! Let's and Becca were there for every step of the wedding planning process and during the wedding to make sure things went smoothly and we had what we needed. If we had any questions or concerns, we could text or call them and they were more than willing to work through it with us. They helped us give vendors who did great work and it was a beautiful wedding. We were told it was the most beautiful wedding some people had been to! We couldn't have done it without them! -

I cannot say enough about Summit Farms. All weddings will have some type of stress with them, but they make it as little as possible. Doing the all-inclusive wedding package is the best decision!! They do everything! And with smiles, kindness, prayers, etc. Whatever you need or ask for. They have such sweet hearts and make you feel special. They make sure you get everything you want! It poured down after our ceremony so we didn't get many pictures right away. But Russell and our wedding coordinator got a huge outdoor umbrella and got rained on to make sure we got great pictures. We originally booked this venue without even going to see it in person. When we finally did get a chance to go visit it was so much more beautiful than we imagined!! Leta and Russel were amazing and the sweetest people to work with. Our coordinator, Sandi, was also great to work with and made sure everything went as planned. Sam was our bartender and he was so sweet and fun to be around. Everyone was so wonderful to be around and helped make the day a lot less stressful. We used the vendors provided by Summit Farm and we were not disappointed!! Our guests couldn't stop talking about how beautiful everything was and I think everyone fell in love with the view! The view is BREATH taking! Russ & Leta, the owners, are just PHENOMENAL to work with. They have so many "extras' that many other places do not have or they charge you for them. Perfect day!
Wonderful experience! We highly recommend this venue for your wedding. They do everything! They provided us with an officiant, flowers, cake, photographer, videographer. They have gorgeous dressing rooms for the bridal party and groom’s quarters. The mountain backdrop was even better in person! The barn was absolutely beautiful.
