  Sukran is an incredibly gift seamstress. My dress fit me so perfectly I honestly don't know how she did it. She was great to work with and I would hire her again in a heart beat. Thank you again Sukran!

  Impeccable Work

  Sukran did a phenomenal job with my wedding gown! She altered it to fit perfectly, and got everything done with time to spare before the wedding. She made an absolutely beautiful veil out of an extra train/extension that came with my dress. It matched great with the gown and fell at the perfect length with my train.
  
  Sukran was extremely flexible working with my work schedule to meet with me for fittings, and was able to get started as soon as my dress came in. She even was able to take on two bridesmaids dresses I needed altered for weddings within 2 months of my own, and got them done early as well! Her work was top-notch. I referred my best friend to her for her wedding gown, and strongly recommend Sukran to anyone looking to get their gown altered!

  So professional and welcoming!

  I can't say enough about Sukran and how perfect she is both professionally and personally. Before I visited Sukran's Bridal, I have already been to some other bridal stores, but none of those visits gave me the impression of "that's the one." Once I walked into her store, she was so professional and definitely got me from the very first moment. She works with her husband at the same store. Both of them are great people. They were so welcoming and kind to me when we met. She first tried to figure out what type of bridal gowns I had in mind for my big day, then she pulled out several gowns. I guess I tried six gowns, and at each try, I was quite fascinated and fell in love with each dress I put on. She doubtlessly understands your expectations thoroughly and responds what you exactly ask for. She is also very good at tailoring. She was very open to any custom alterations that I requested, even they were some big changes in the dress. I decided to work with Sukran without hesitation, which was one of the best decisions I have ever made. My husband rented his tuxedo from Sukran's store as well. He was also very happy with his choice. I recommended Sukran to one of my bridesmaids, and she was feeling very happy in her dress at the end. All in all, Sukran never frustrated any of us and her store is most definitely the best in town. In our wedding night, everyone fell in love with my bridal, and I still hear great comments about it from families and friends. I can't thank Sukran enough! She made my big day! I truly felt gorgeous in the dress.
  
  Beyond all, I would like to thank Sukran again and again for being so kind, helpful, hands-on and always responsive. Until the wedding day, my work schedule was quite packed. Whenever I called her to reschedule our appointment time or request some alterations in the dress (even two weeks before the wedding), she never said no. She always called to update me about the bridal. Her help lifted a weight off our shoulders. She made everything great and stress-free for me. She is a true lifesaver.

  Sukran made my wedding dream dress come to life!! From the moment I walked into her store I knew she was the one I wanted to work with for my big day.
  
  I called Sukran prior to coming and described what kind of dress I was looking for. She had a variety of dresses pulled out for me upon my arrival, ready to try on. She was so warm and welcoming and I was really looking forward to working with her.
  
  I chose a Maggie Sottero gown. The gown was sweetheart neckline. I was interested in something off the shoulder, so Sukran suggested that we ordered extra lace and she could make detachable off the shoulder straps. Her creativity and dedication to making me look and feel amazing was incredible. She went above and beyond and created the most fabulous wedding dress I could have ever asked for.
  
  Sukran is professional, experienced and all around a wonderful woman. She truly cares about making her clients happy. She was punctual and always and kept me up to date with everything throughout the whole process.
  
  In the end, I found everything I was looking for from a wedding dress experience, and then some. I cannot express how great it was to work with someone who cared so much about my happiness.
  
  I HIGHLY recommend Sukran for any wedding or formal event. She will not let you down!!

After trawling through all of Connecticut, I found Sukran, who was so accommodating and kind, I knew right away I was in good hands. And by the time she was done expertly cinching, pinching and winching I looked every bit as lovely as I hoped I would and she was as good as family to me. Sukran, thank you for making the whole experience from beginning to end, so very special. I'd have been lost without you.

She was able to really understand what I was looking for in a dress and even made alterations to the design of the dress I chose so that it was perfect for me. The alterations were perfect and I appreciated that she listened to my feedback. I also liked that I was able to have multiple fittings to be sure that I loved the way the dress fit. My maid and matron of honor also got their dresses from Sukran and my mom got her dress altered by Sukran. The four of us could not be more pleased with the results of all of our dresses. I got so many compliments on my dress and am so happy I bought my dress from Sukran. I highly recommend this shop to anyone!

  Sukran was great to work with during my entire dress shopping/fitting experience. I told her what I was looking for in a dress and she picked out one that checked off everything on the list with some alterations. She transformed the back of my dress from a keyhole to an open V amazingly. Additionally, I showed her a beaded belt I loved and she was able to find it in NYC, order it, and sew it on my dress. Lastly, she custom made the perfect veil to finish the entire ensemble.
  
  I received a ton of compliments on my dress and veil, many saying the dress was perfectly made for me!
  
  Sukran was easy to contact and accommodating as I was coming in for fittings from NYC (her shop is in my hometown). She opened up her shop early sometimes or kept it open late for me. She also gave me a loaner veil for my hair trial!

  Sukran did an amazing job altering my wedding dress. I cannot imagine that any other seamstress would put as much attention to detail and time into making alterations than Sukran does. She completely transformed my dress into exactly the figure that I imagined having on my wedding day.

  I was so happy to get my wedding dress at Sukran's. Not only is her pricing fantastic, but she is incredibly talented at alterations. I had originally picked out a keyhole back Maggie Sottero dress. I think Sukran could tell I liked it but didn't love it, and therefore didn't put the order in. Thank goodness for that, because when I came back a few months later I ended up falling in love with a different Maggie dress that I loved 100x more! Sukran turned that dress into a one of a kind, original dress for me by adding on a belt, changing the buttons on the back and adding lace to the sweetheart neckline. She even use the same lace to make me a handmade veil which matched my dress perfectly. The end result was absolutely perfect, and fit me the exact way I wanted. It was the best dress!
  Every time we went into her shop Sukran greeted us with hugs! She is warm and easy to work with and we never felt pressured to buy anything. She would make suggestions and we could say yes or no.

  Sukran and John were so wonderful to work with!! We got the bridesmaids dresses and tuxedos--everything was delivered on time. The dresses and tuxedos were great quality and very reasonably priced. You must visit this store--Sukran and John really care and are passionate about everything they do!

After shopping around for months for the perfect dress, I came to Sukran and she picked out a flattering gorgeous dress right away within my price range that I adored. Sukran paired the dress with the perfect veil and the most special sequined gloves. She and her lovely assistants made me feel so beautiful. I highly recommend Sukran's Bridal to any bride to be who wants to feel special and look her best. Sukran even made her own daughter's wedding dress "Well, I made two for her and she chose this one".   You cannot go wrong here. I thought it would be well out of my price range since it was in Westport but boy was I wrong! They had dresses as low as $700 and as expensive as tens of thousands - all of which were equally gorgeous. Her tailoring skills and alterations came out impeccable and I was so happy with the final result. Love Love Love this place. Added note - don't let the location and the claustrophobic feel deter you from stopping in. They really know what they're doing and have a unique selection of items from trunk shows, samples, and individual pieces. You can have a dress like no one else without breaking the bank.

  Excellent service. Friendly and family-oriented - felt like a part of the family versus just someone who was selling you a dress and tuxedo. Always had the utmost confidence that things would be done well. Very detail-oriented ensuring everything fit to absolute perfection and that everyone in our wedding party was also taken care of. They really took ownership and control of so many of the details, and we always felt they were on top of everything. Truly a pleasure to deal with, and folks who I hope we can use again for other formal attire needs. We would recommend them without hesitation.

  I rented my Tux at Sukran's, as I have since I was in high school. I've tried different places, but I always come back - and they pulled it off perfectly for the most important day. As one of my groomsmen, who is the most picky and stuck up when it comes to fashion, said: "I've never had a more expertly tailored rental tux." We ended up purchasing our own ties because we wanted a particular color and it was easier to eye it out, but they are really cost effective, responsive, communicative, and friendly. They chased me on making sure to get everything done in time, which I thought was great.

  They were wonderful! I got the most beautiful dress at a VERY reasonable cost. They staff are very kind and sweet. Sukran is an amazing seamstress and very knowledgeable. The store itself is not physically impressive, but do not let that shy you away--they are terrific!

  This is a tiny little dress shop in Westport. Sukran is extremely helpful and "can do a bustle like its nobody's business". My dress was gorgeous. By the time I was done with my fittings, I felt like I had known Sukran forever.

  Sukran is amazing! I knew exactly what I wanted and she created my dress for me. The quality was couture-level but for about half the price. Her shop is chaotic but she's really sweet and does a fabulous job.

  I found my dress at Sukran's bridal and my husband found his tux there as well. In addition to being an expert dressmaker, Sukran is also a tailor. Before my appointment, Sukran asked me to send her some styles of dresses I was considering. The fourth dress I tried on was a perfect fit! Sukran was incredibly accomodating - as most brides do, I lost about 10lbs from when I first purchased the dress to my wedding day, and even though we had multiple fittings, Sukran wanted to make sure that I had an absolutely perfect fit! I loved my dress and my guests did too! Furthermore, my husband had some special tailoring he wanted for his tux, and Sukran's husband, John, was able to tailor everything perfectly. We couldn't recommend Sukran's any higher!

  I didn't purchase my wedding dress at Sukrans but it needed serious alterations. Sukrans Bridal was a pleasure to deal with. They know what they are doing when it comes to alterations and make their best effort to get you in when needed. Keep in mind you get what you pay for and although they are not cheap, the craftsmanship is well worth every penny. Thank you Sukran for all your help with my dress and making me feel beautiful.   Sukran made my dream dress

  Sukran is an amazing seamstress, and such a wonderful person to work with. I bought my dress from her, but with her alterations, she made me a dress that was custom fit for me. I felt amazing on my wedding day and didn't want to take it off! I felt so beautiful. My husband rented his tux from Sukran as well, and was very happy with it. Thank you, Sukran!
