Prom dress and wedding dress!

When I was in high school I was swimming in my hand me down prom dress — my mom told me I likely would not be able to wear it. Sukie’s made it fit me beautifully. She added straps from my corset back and with the extra fabric from the excessive length she made me a shawl. I saved up my cash and went and I got to wear my dream dress. When I got married years later, I was again swimming in the dress I chose but waited FAR too long to get alterations. Sukie’s got my dress to perfectly fit me within one appointment and I again got to wear my dream dress. She not only makes basic alterations but has such a skilled eye and hand that she turns the clothes into something that’s one with your body. I’d never go anywhere else!

Perfect!!!

I was so nervous taking this in...I’ve never had anything altered before and of course the first time is my wedding dress. It came out perfect!!! Process was quick and easy. Everyone in the shop is very nice. Price point is exactly where I expected it to be Highly recommend!!!

Expensive, but worth every penny

I got my dress online for $250 and while it was a beautiful dress for the cost, I needed a lot of alterations. It was kind of expensive, but for everything I had fixed and altered I still paid less overall than most brides do for dresses. They were always flexible and kind, as well. I had a great experience.

Wonderful experience

I had such a good experience with this facility. The staff is very knowledgeable and kind. They will help you and even make suggestions of what kind of alterations to get. The appointments went quick and all my questions were answered. I got my dress back in a timely manner and it fits perfectly! Can't wait for my wedding day.

They did an amazing job altering my daughters wedding dress. They took her 2 weeks before the wedding, had it altered the following week. The dress looks amazing, we couldn’t be happier. Everyone was friendly and excited for her. She did the bustling, hem and cleaning. So worth the cost...

Fast and Friendly

When I got my wedding dress I only had less than two months to get it altered. Most places I called were already booked, as I feared. From a recommendation from a friend, I contacted Dan through email who responded back in a few minutes and we scheduled my appointment. Sukie was very attentive and straightforward about the alterations my dress would need. It had to have seven layers of fabric hemmed, a tear fixed, add a bustle, and the back taken in a bit. She recommended a couple things to save me money and steamed my dress. They said it would only be ready in two weeks! At my second fitting I was very happy and she showed me how to bustle the back and make it sit beautifully. Very happy with her quality of work. They made something that was scary into a quick and painless process. Great communication, great seamstress, would definitely recommend!

Amazing!

Sukie was amazing!! I had two weeks for alterations and she did them with no problem. She was so flexible and helpful! My parents ended up working with her because of how great she was! She goes above and beyond.

Best Experience

I'm so grateful I found this little gem! My initial visit was great! Suki and staff were very attententive to my need of a wedding dress that I could purchase the same day. In which I found!!! Later I requested alternations so I could still eat my chips and fit the dress perfectly. Suki visiable knew were the alterations should be and never marked them. Upon pick up Suki was very warm, friendly, professional and fun! The dress was Perfect!! We danced, had our own photo shoot, threw our hands in the air, pushed the wedding button and rode out!!! We Had The Perfect Visit!! Thank you Suki and Staff!

Dress and Veil press done quickly for me and they looked great!!

I forgot about getting my dress and veil pressed for my upcoming wedding but they were able to quickly accommodate my needs! Great pricing too!! I will definitely be coming back for anything else I may need.

Sukie’s amazing!

I was stressed because my dress was not fitting, it’s always easier to get a dress smaller than expanding it. Sukie didn’t give up on finding a way to make my dress fit me. She figured out how to make it work and had this crazy idea. Then I came back in to try it on and I couldn’t even tell she did any work on it because it looks perfect! I tried the dress on and it fit just right! The relief I had was indescribable, I can’t thank her enough for the work she did. She was very positive the whole time and so friendly as was the guy that works at the desk! Great customer service if there is anything I need fixed that is important I would 100% go to Sukie’s. Her work is incredible and I couldn’t be happier, I hope everyone knows that they can go to her and know their in good hands!

Best Alterations

Sukie and Dan were amazing to work with! I emailed about alterations pricing and they were able to squeeze me in the next day. Within 3 weeks, all of my alterations were complete including a whole reworking of the straps on my dress. I would recommend everyone come see these two for your alterations!

Very professional

Loved the alterations on my wedding gown. I went in kinda last min to get some alterations on my dress due to pear briadal going bankrupt and not having my belt or alterations done. They took matters into their own hands with the short time and made my dress fit perfectly. They are all very nice and professional I highly recommend them!

Glad I chose them for my alterations

I did my homework before choosing where to take my dress since my dress has very fine delicate lace. I chose Sukie's Bridal because I was pleased with all their reviews and they're located in the west side ( most known seamstress are in the east side very far for me). Since the moment I walked in her husband Dan was very welcoming, helpful, very kind. Sukie was so friendly and fun to talk too. She immediately knew what work my wedding dress needed and gave me some pointers and was also very kind when I had questions or made suggestions. She told me she has been in the business for 20 years if i remember correct. I must admit when I was walking into the store I was a little nervous to leave my dress behind but after my appointment the way they run their business made me feel a lot more comfortable with my choice. I also liked that they make emergency alterations if needed on day of event hence another reason why I chose them . Gives me a sense of security. Thank you Sukie and Dan for all your help and kindness!

Last Minute Wedding

I had a very short notice wedding and I can't thank Sukie's enough for fitting me in and getting my dress done in time! I had to Reschedule my last fitting last minute and they were so kind and understanding and didn't want to stress me out so they worked with me best they could. Definitely gonna be coming here in the future for dress alterations.

AMAZING customer service and products!!

Dan is always helpful, friendly and provides by far the best customer service I’ve experienced! His friendliness and knowledge on the most current styles is reason enough to choose them for wedding or prom essentials. Don’t waste your time at men’s warehouse or David’s bridal, go straight here! We went to men’s warehouse first and they had teenagers who knew nothing about men’s fashion or fitting men and prices were through the roof so we went to Sukie’s and Dan promised he’d take care of us and he definitely did! They price match for men’s suits (not sure about women’s dresses). The seamstress Sukie is so knowledgeable and I felt very comfortable leaving my wedding gown in her hands. Overall amazing experience, don’t waste time with large chains, you will see what I mean after just one interaction with Dan or Sukie.

Best experience ever!!

I can’t say it enough, Sukie’s Bridal was a godsend! Long story short, I was in a Brides worse nightmare, my first dress ( purchased somewhere else) didn’t fit. I was freaking out to say the least, with only 3 months left till my big day. Sukie went through all the options and helped calm me down, she was kind and understanding, everything I needed in that moment. Fate would have it, I ended up finding the dress of my dreams in her store. She even went above and beyond to get me the veil of my dreams as well!! I felt beautiful on my wedding day, thanks to sukie. All my guest raved about my dress it was the talk of the evening! P.S. she also altered my husbands suit as well. We are so happy we went to Sukie’s Bridal and you will be too!

A great shop that has very reasonably priced gowns. Plus they do alterations no matter where you bought your wedding gown. I brought mine in for a free quote and it was very reasonable since I needed alot of alterations done to it. It turned out beautiful and I couldn't be happier! Highly recommend them.

Absolutely superb customer service. Excellent quality. I sent my teenage son in there by himself to rent a tux for prom. The ladies there took care of him as if he was their own. He looked stunning!!! I definitely recommend Sukie’s.

I am the mother of the bride for a wedding that took place on Oct. 20th, 2012. i purchased my dress and had it altered at Sukie's and my son-in-law, husband and the groomsmen rented their suits from her. The prices were very reasonable and her customer service and quality are amazing. Had we realized she was there before my daughter bought her dress. I'm sure we would have done that, too. This is a small business that deserves your support. You will not be disappointed!!

I got my dress at this shop, and also had it altered! Every time I went into the shop I was greeted with a smile. Sukie altered my tea length dress to add a corset in the back, and also to fit my DD chest. We also ordered my husband's vest from her shop. She was the only place in town that could offer something that fit him comfortably! I would recommend her to anyone! And already did!

Totally awesome all around! I have a naturally large bust (DDD) with a 28" waist that makes it virtually impossible to find a cocktail dress, button down shirt or anything that resembles cute. After three days, 67 dresses and a wedding the next day, I was ready to say forget it and let my husband go solo to our friends wedding when I suddenly caught Sukie's Bridal & Tux out of the corner of my eye. Sukie was AMAZING along with the gentleman at the front desk. They listened to my dilemma and immediately showed me their beautiful selection of ready to buy dresses. With my only concern being I needed a dress, I didn't bother to even look at the store hours. Needless to say, Sukie never once said her store was already closed. She understood my dilemma and had nothing in her mind but to provide superb customer service. (If you've shopped anywhere lately, it's hard to come by "true" customer service anymore.) I picked my dress and she tailored it for the wedding by the next day! The price was incredible as well. I'm always looking for great deals and this is a one stop shop. Sukie has it all. My wardrobe consists mainly of t-shirts or shirts that have to be worn with tank tops. Thanks to Sukie's, that will no longer be the case.

I took my wedding gown to Sukie's after David's Bridal botched the alterations, and she was able to fix all the problem areas for a very fair price! I was extremely satisfied with the results!

Since then, I have used Sukie's several times for clothing alterations and have always been very happy with the end result! They are very courteous and eager to help!

Suki did a wonderful job of tailoring my wedding dress. I bought the dress somewhere else (retail chain). She told me they sold me the wrong slip and brought me a slip that was so much more comfortable and made the dress much more beautiful. The dress was perfect.

I took my dress to Sukie's for alterations and she was great. She was able to alter the dress without me being in the state (of course, I was there for a final fitting) The price was a little high for me but I think it was right along what most alteration shops charge, it just happened to be more than I spent on the dress in the first place but that's not Sukie's fault.

Great choice going to Sukie!

I bought a dress that needed to go from a size 10 to a size 2, with the wedding 4 weeks away. Sukie gave me a quote and said she would not charge me more than that regardless of how many dress fittings I did. One price, that’s it 👍🏼 . She assured me that the dress would be ready 7-10 days before the wedding. We ended up doing 3 dress fitting and I had picked it up 8 days before the wedding. The dress was gorgeous once it fit me. I asked her to add off-the-shoulder straps so she carefully took out some of the lace along the back of the dress and made the shoulder straps like I wanted. I couldn’t even tell where she cut the lace! She did phenomenal work on my dress and I couldn’t be happier. Thank you!!

Suki was great and altered my wedding dress to the Belle ball gown that I always dreamed of wearing for my wedding day. Dresses were very affordable and embellishments were beautiful.

I came to this shop because it was recommended by a friend who said they were friendly and well priced. My experience was the complete opposite. I went in to talk about alterations on my dress; I had bought it off the rack and it needed to be taken down a couple sizes. The woman (Suki maybe? She never introduced herself and never asked my name.) seemed too busy and uninterested in talking to me, even though they had no one else in the shop and they were expecting me due to my appointment. She finally stepped away and hurried me into a dressing room, yanked the zipper down on my dress bag, looked at it for 30 seconds, and quoted me $750 for the job!

The woman was rude towards me questioning why I bought it, where it came from, and how much I paid for it. It was embarrassing. She didn't even have me try it on and pin it to get a closer look. She clearly didn't want to do the work because she gave me that outrageous quote and I believe she was mad that I hadn't bought a dress from her shop. When you advertise for alterations, you should expect that people will come to you needing alterations on pre-purchased items.

There was a man working there with her as well who was nice and courteous the whole time. He came and offered to carry my dress to a hanger nearby then answered my questions about the tuxedo rentals that they offer.

I walked back out to my car feeling terrible and wishing I had never even bought my dress to begin with. I was in tears worrying that I would have to pay nearly $800 to alter a dress that cost just over $800 alone.

Because of the way the woman handled everything I will never go back to that shop and if anyone asks my recommendation, I will tell them to steer clear of Suki's too. Weddings are a very special and emotional time for couples while they are prepping and planning. Being in the wedding business, they should know that and treat customers accordingly; not make them feel like an inconvenience.

My one star rating of this business is being COMPLETELY generous at best! My daughter ordered her wedding dress from a different bridal shop (Thank God!) but picked out bridesmaid dresses from this shop (Unfortunately). I am usually not one to write reviews but feel people, especially when shopping for a big day can be forwarned as to what they are getting in to. My youngest daughter who is 13 is a size 9, and has been in 2 other weddings this year, the most recent 2 months ago. When going in to be fitted I was out of town and my sister in law took her. I figured how hard can this be? This is what these people do for a living, when picking up the dress today not only was there NO CUSTOMER SERVICE involved I had to point blank ask them to come fit the dress. When I questioned why in the world a size 12 was ordered Sukie kept saying she went by measurments. I was then informed after I kept insisiting the dress was humongous it would be an additional $60.00 to alter the dress. I came home and looked at the measurements taken by the 2 OTHER bridal stores within the last year and they were identical AND 5-6" OFF what Sukie measured! Ridiculous! I called my older daughters Bridal Shop and they were more than happy to help me, before even getting my story out all I mentioned was the name Sukies Bridal and she actually groaned. Later in the conversation she stated they hear horror stories from MANY other Sukie customers quite frequently. If you want correct measurements or ANY quality of customer service GO ELSEWHERE!

As for my more than truthful review I was NOT hiding behind a screen name these are linked to my social networking site! And YES, I do feel you are a VERY RUDE person that posseses NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS! I do also feel you are UTTERLY and ABSOLUTELY INCOMPETANT BUT if you read my review I stuck to the truth and facts and did NOT allege you were EITHER RUDE OR IMCOMPETANT! You NEVER offered to fix your mistake, you stated for me to bring my daughter in and you would show me how you measured her! Not ONCE did you offer to fix YOUR mistake! Nor did you EVER mention if there was a discrepancy in your measurements you would try to make things right. Congratulations I think you have shown any future customers what type of unstable person they would be dealing with if they ever had the misfortune of purchasing a dress from your store! I mean seriously? Posting my name, address and phone number that I DID NOT GIVE YOU OR ANYONE ELSE AT YOUR BUSINESS PERMISSION TO POST???!!!! BUYER BEWARE IS ALL I CAN SAY!!!!!!!!!
