Highly Recommend Sugar on Top!
Jennifer at Sugar on Top made our wedding cake in October 2022 and she was amazing to work with! The whole process was so painless and it was super easy to collaborate with her on flavors and design. The cake turned out better than we could've hoped for and was so delicious! I had multiple people reach out afterwards wanting the details of who made it. On top of that, her sweets and treats at her bakery in Genoa are wonderful and we stop by whenever we can! I highly recommend getting your cake or wedding sweets from Sugar on Top! -

Simply amazing!
Sugar on Top Bakeshop was the best! She sent us a beautiful sketch of our wedding cake while in the planning process, she worked with another local baker to get us macarons for our cake, made a beautiful sweets table, and our cake was picture-perfect! Everything was so delicious and guests were raving about everything. We highly recommend! Also very reasonable priced! -

Amazing Wedding Cake
Our cake was as delicious as it was beautiful - we literally had guests raving about how good it was! And she was wonderful to work with, extremely creative and professional, and made our mid-Covid remote cake tasting super fun for us and our kids. Highly recommend!!! -

Wonderful to work with, amazing cake!
My husband and I eloped in 2021. We never had a wedding cake for our wedding so decided for our 1 year anniversary to get a small cake for the 2 of us. Jen had made a cake for a friend of ours who got married in 2021, and it was so gorgeous.. so I reached out to her to make ours, and I was treated just as special as someone ordering an extravagant wedding cake. We got 3 samples to taste and decided on an almond cake with vanilla buttercream frosting. I was so excited to finally (a year later) get the wedding cake of my dreams. It was so cute and it was absolutely delicious! -

A joy to work with (and delicious!)
Jennifer was by far one of the easiest vendors to work with for my wedding. My desire for my wedding cake was something small and simple but what I really wanted to focus on was having a dessert table. Instead of fancy desserts or donuts etc I wanted an old school dessert table of brownies and cookies and cheesecakes which was actually hard to find, but then I found Jen! Her sweets are absolutely delicious and homey and wonderful. Her brownies are still my favorite to this day. Her prices are reasonable and she is so helpful and easy to talk to. It felt like working with a friend. I drove almost an hour to meet with her and it was well worth it. Her brownies are still my favorite and my guests LOVED the dessert table and still talk about her cheesecakes. And to top it off Jennifer does beautiful work on her wedding cakes. Mine was gorgeous, she has such an eye for design and style. No doubt work with Sugar on Top, you seriously can't go wrong. -

AMAZING! Go with Sugar on Top!
Jen was so easy to work with. She made our vision come to life with a four tier cake and sweets table. The cake was perfection, and it tasted even better! All the guests were raving about the butter pecan cake and cream cheese frosting. She even worked with another baker to get us macarons for the cake! I can tell she really cares about each couple she works with. I just wish we lived closer so we could order more cakes from her! She is very reasonably priced as well. -

Amazing all around!
Working with Jennifer was amazing! From the moment we reached out, to cake tasting, to changing our wedding date 3 times. She was amazing through it all! Her cake, frosting, and filling flavors are to die for. We ended up doing a very small ceremony in May of 2020 which she was so nice to provide a cake for us. Flash forward to May 2021 and she did the most beautiful cake for us! We also had sugar cookies in the shape of tractors and people could not get enough of them. I highly recommend using Jennifer for your big day. -

Amazing, Simple, Delicious, & Exactly what we wanted for our wedding.
Sugar on Top did my wedding in September. Jennifer was wonderful to work with. I had some bridesmaids with allergies. She made amazing gluten-free cupcakes. My friend said they were the best gluten-free cupcakes she had ever had. We hade. Small two tier cake and cupcakes. All was delicious and turned out exactly how I wanted it. The guest loved the cupcakes that they were gone fast. -

Jen is Amazing!
Jen worked with us through rescheduling our wedding and having to downsize due to covid. She had us on her books for over 2 years. She's great to work with. Our guests raved about our cupcakes. Our cake, cupcakes and cookies were all beautiful and tasted amazing. She nailed nailed vibe we were aiming for. Highly recommend her and her champagne cake strawberry buttercream! -

Beautiful and delicious
My wedding cake was delicious. There weren't any left overs and everyone raved about how good it was. My wedding was originally scheduled for May of 2020. Due to covid I have to reschedule. Jen was so easy to work with during this incredibly stressful process and was very accommodating when I had to make a bunch of last minute changes (turning a spring wedding into a fall wedding). I highly recommend choosing Sugar on Top for your special day. You won't be disappointed. -

We had a Boston cream filling with yellow cake and buttercream icing. Heaven on earth. Made with love. Unforgettable!! The design was based on a inspiration picture but we took it so much farther with custom metallic details and a unique topper. Listen: she is a dear soul. We had our original wedding date for April 25, 2020, but we decided to reschedule it. I'll never forget how she told me to come to Sugar on Top that day anyway and she gave us goodies on the house!! It made my unwedding day special to us. When my actual wedding happened on August 15, she took care of ALL the details. Plus? It came in under my cake budget. It's been 4 months and my guests are still raving about this cake. Don't hesitate, just call her!! Jen will take care of you! -

Easy, Fun, & Delicious!
Sugar on Top made my September 2020 wedding cake, & it was perfect! Not only was it absolutely delicious, but Jennifer worked with us closely for the design/style we wanted. The cost was affordable, & I’ll continue to order from the shop for future birthdays, celebrations, etc. -

Just simply amazing!
The best tasting cake!! They put spins on regular flavors love it! Our wedding cake was a piece of art so elegant and simple. Their prices are very reasonable for what you get!! Also everyone loved the gluten free cake!! People who aren’t even gluten free accidentally ate it and said it was delicious! -

Jennifer did the cake for my cousins wedding last year and I remembered how good it was, so I went ahead and got a quote.
I sent her a photo of what I wanted and the pricing was so reasonable I couldn't believe it.
Fast forward to the day of, the cake was delivered without a hitch, it was to the T exactly what I wanted and OMG it was delicious!!!! Can't wait til our one year anniversary to eat that top tier!!! BTW she also does cookies which are equally amazing! -

Wedding Cake and Cupcakes
We had a two-teir wedding cake, additional sheet of the same cake flavor, and 120 additional cupcakes prepared by Sugar on Top for a +150 guest wedding at less than $650! Jennifer creates amazing flavors, like strawberry champagne, or the white chocolate raspberry (our cake flavor). Everything was smooth, calm, and as expected. We even had to change our order a few weeks out from the date and there was never a problem. The cake was delivered on time and was a huge hit! I plan to get cakes made for anniversaries/special occasions in the future with Sugar on Top and, again, can't recommend it enough! -

Best cake I could have ever asked for!
I didn't have much of an idea of what I wanted for my wedding cake, all I knew was what I wanted it to taste like. We got a white cake with a fresh strawberry filling and the best buttercream I have ever had! The design she went with was a white on white style with textured details all around on the bottom tier with an edible print of our engagement picture on the side with a beautiful border around it. The top tier was covered in edible pearls in an ombre effect. That little suprise of the picture made me cry I was so happy. I couldnt have asked for a better experience, or a more beautiful cake! -

Insanely delicious
If I could eat a baked good from Jen every day for the rest of my life, I would. Sugar on Top produces some of the most amazing and delicious cakes ever! As a wedding planner, working with Jen is a breeze! She is reliable, creative, funny, and as sweet as her cakes! As a bride, I wouldn’t have booked anyone else. Every single cupcake was eaten, our cake was gorgeous, and she even made a special birthday cupcake for my father-in-law!! I cannot wait to work with Jen again in the near future! -

We had three flavors of cakes! Just could not decide. She was really thoughtful of ways to keeping us on a budget by offering a small tiered cake to cut, then two sheet cakes. The tiered cake was an epic geode cake perfect for us matching our colors and theme of geology. Very personal. I highly recommend Jennifer! -

Best Baker AROUND!!!
The worst thing happened when planning our wedding... I was diagnosed with Cancer. While battling, Jennifer went above and beyond to now only make sure our cake and cupcakes were amazing, but she also worked with our other vendors to ensure the day went smoothly. Jennifer is amazing! We would highly recommend her and the Sugar on Top Bake Shop for your wedding!!!
P.S. The Champagne Buttercream with strawberry filing cake & cupcakes are to DIE FOR!!!!! We ordered an extra 2 dozen so we could eat them after. -

I could not recommend Sugar on Top Bakery enough for their wedding cake service. Not only was my wedding cake amazingly delicious and beautiful but Jennifer at Sugar on Top Bakery is excellent to work with. She listened to what my husband and I wanted and was open to trying new things. Did I mention her cake are delicious? Perfectly rich and moist, our wedding cake was the best cake I've ever tasted.
