Amazing Wedding Cake - Beyond our wildest dreams!

We had our wedding cake made by Sugar, Butter, Flour and it turned out amazing! We gave them a specific theme and design of the cake we dreamt of and it turned out beautifully. Wedding Cake

They did a great job on our wedding cake! The cake was beautiful! They helped put our flowers on the cake from our florist. It was also very delicious. I recommend them for your wedding or event cake needs!

We used Sugar Butter Flour for our cupcakes and small cutting cake for our wedding. We ordered 150 cupcakes in 3 different flavors and they were all delicious! We got to do a complimentary tasting before ordering which was great because they and some really unique flavors that I wouldn't have necessarily just ordered without trying. They were timely when my FIL went to go pick them up and we had zero problems with them.

Sugar Butter Flour has created 2 wedding cakes for our family, and the most recent was even more spectacular than the first! The cake was delivered expertly and was like a beautiful, classic work of art. Every bite was moist, fresh, and filled with delicious ingredients. Our guests universally commented that it was the best wedding cake they had ever tasted! Thank you to Mojgan and her team for another outstanding job!

I would highly recommend Sugar Butter Flour! The cake tasting was so delicious that we ended up buying some goodies after our appointment..haha! They are very professional and we received many compliments for our cake.

Yum! The cake was great, looked great. Once we had it ordered, they completely took care of it, coordinating with the reception site and the florist. We didn't have to give it a second thought. Also got to do a tasting well in advance and they were very generous and flexible regarding flavors and design. All in all, a very good experience!

We had met with three other bakeries prior to going to Sugar Butter Flour. Two of the bakeries would not use fondant and both did not offer square cakes. Then the other bakery did offer square cakes but charged more per layer, I was like "what? Your going to charge me more to cut cake off a round cake to make it square." And another bakery would not even offer delivery, how many people can really go pick up their wedding cake the day of there wedding? I sure didn't have time and I wouldn't trust picking it up and having to drive a hour to the reception site.
Ok back to Sugar Butter Flour now that I gave some bad on other places. We had our cake tasting about three and a half months before the wedding. It was very hard to pick between all the flavors. We worked with Matt and he was great. He actually let us make each layer of our cake different plus the sheet cake was a different flavor.
He also gave us some quotes on different style cakes that we were deciding between.
After deciding our cake we received an email with our contract.
At the reception the cake arrived early and it looked amazing. I was expecting some random person to show up with the cake that was just going to drop it and run. But it was actually Matt that arrived with it and he helped us place our wedding topper on top.
Another big reason I picked Sugar Butter Flour is because when they do your wedding cake they save your information and your cake in their system and they call you on your one year anniversary and give you a replica of the top tier of your cake for free. They even continue to save it after that in case you ever call down the line on your, for example, 25th anniversary and then they can create the top tier again.
Great service and great prices.

My husband and I got married a few weeks ago and cake was a high priority for us. We're dessert people, and we wanted to share our love of good cake with those who had been invited to share in our most special day with us.

We tasted more cake than we'd like to admit, but through it all Sugar Butter Flour stood out and never failed to impress. We worked with Matt in the Sunnyvale location. At our tasting he presented us with 10 or so flavor combinations (more than any other bakery we went to) and he was more than helpful as we worked our way through the delicious cake. He even let us take home what we didn't finish (which kept us from gorging ourselves in the store).

Throughout the rest of the process Matt continued to follow up with us, making sure that the cake we were getting was the cake of our dreams. He even asked us to bring in a sample of our wedding invitation so that he could match the color of cherry blossom design on the cake to our wedding invitations. Amazing detail-orientedness and follow through!

Our wedding day finally arrived and all were amazed and impressed by not only the beauty of the cake (and how perfectly it matched our color scheme) but also it's deliciousness. One layer devil's food with mocha buttercream, another layer white cake with marzipan and fresh strawberries (think princess cake, but lighter). People raved about our cake and for good reason.

Too often dessert is overlooked or the mass quality is not as good as when you first tasted it. Not so with SBF. They provide an excellent experience from start to finish. Five stars for SBF!

4 tier wedding cake

Relationship
Matt and Irit are personable, friendly, and professional. They even e-mailed me pictuers of the wedding cake upon request the morning of the wedding so I could see it before it went to the venue!

They are comparable in price to other bakeries in the area

Presentation/Concept
COMPLETELY nailed what we wanted. The cake was stunning and it was everything we wanted!! The guests loved it and thought it tasted great.

Sugar Butter Flour worked hard and did a great job. Of all the placed we visitied we know they'd really pull of something special for us. So glad we went with them for our wedding cake!

Sugar, Butter Flour was excellent every step of the way. At our tasting, we tried dozens of flavors and each flavor came in a WHOLE PIECE...not just enough for one bite. Kathleen DeManti made our cake and she was just wonderful. She provided sketches of what the cake could look like and helped me to tweak everything so it was exactly what I wanted. And, the TASTE! My husband and I have been married a year and people still tell us how wonderful our wedding cake tasted. I recommend Kathleen and Sugar, Butter, Flour 100%.

Their cake was awesome! I had 4 tiered cake and they made it exactly how I wanted. Each layer had different flavor of cakes and everyone at my wedding loved it. I loved red velvet and banana cake. You must try them!
Although tasting is little confusing. You may want to take friends who has done tasting before. They give you cake and topping separately and I had hard time deciding because there are too many choices!!

Sugar, Butter, Flour is probably the BEST vendor we had for our wedding. Truly, the owner and lead baker, Kathleen, was amazing in her flexibility and willingness to go the extra mile to provide top-notch, first-rate service and very reasonable prices. She was patient, responsive, and provided so many different options we consider for the budget we had. We ordered both a small cake for the cake-cutting ceremony and cupcakes for our guests. The cake was the best tasting, moist wedding cakes I've ever had which is a refreshing change from most wedding cake I've had at most weddings. The cupcakes were hands-down the best cupcakes I've had, and many would agree. We highly recommend Sugar Butter Flour.

Excellent, beautiful cake, just what we wanted! We loved their flexibility and how easy they made everything for us. Mojgan was a joy to work with and was able to figure out what we wanted when we had challenges articulating it.

In a word, GREAT! We went to our first tasting, and knew this was the place. They made the cake exactly to our specs. Gorgeous! So many people commented on how beautiful the cake was. Delicious red velvet especially, but they were all great!

Loved our wedding cake. It was beautiful and tasted amazing. Working with Irit was easy and very professional. We tried different flavors and chose our cake design. She made sure it turned out beautifully. Definitely recommend Sugar Butter Flour!

Awesome wedding cake! Lots of choices and styles of cakes to choose from. They made a baseball themed cake for our wedding and it came out great. Only complaint, it was sometimes difficult to contact the person who took our order, but others quickly jumped in to help out, and they were more than capable. Very professional, delivery was on time, and the guests all loved it, and so did we. I would highly recommend them to anyone else, especially if your trying to avoid a headache.

This vendor did exactly what I asked, the cake tasted great and looked even better. Also, for those who are thinking of freezing your cake top, this place won't allow it!! They will make you a free small cake for your 1 year anniversary with whatever you want.

All in all this vendor was fabulous.
However, it didn't start out that way. I made it to my initial meeting on time but was put aside and ignored for almost twenty minutes. After Mojgan realized I was a bride she came straight away to me. I was kind of having a bad day too so this wasn't a good start. But since my groom couldn't join me because of work, she offered to let me take the cake samples home so that he could try as well. That put her back into a good standing.
After going back and forth on two final vendors I asked one last time if we could get more samples. I was preparing a cake-off. I wanted a sample from my groom-to-be's favorite cake place and mine. Well, Sugar Butter Flour blew his choice out of the water.
After coming down on headcount I asked Sugar Butter Flour to add a groom's cake to their list. They were able to put together a fabulous grooms cake, within my budget, in a weeks time for our rehearsal dinner. He was absolutely surprised and they did a fabulous job with the design.
Our actual wedding cake was beautiful. It was exactly what we wanted. Five tiers of yumminess. The only issue was that delivery was late! Apparently they showed up at 5:20pm! Our cocktail hour started at 5pm! Delivery was supposed to be between three and four. Then the delivery guy had the nerve to tell my day-of coordinator that the delivery time was 5pm and she replied that it wasn't and even if it was it's 5:20pm and you're still late!
But it all worked out, and i never knew what happened. I'm just glad it was there and everyone loved the taste.

My wedding cake ws by far the most raved about piece of my wedding. We celebrated with with 2 different flavors of cake, the rich chocolate made in sheets for mass quantities, and the lemon raspberry, for cutting and display, both exceptionally delicious. The process was easy, and delicious, as you get to experience the cake tasting and your most difficult decision being which you want to represent you. Our only problem, was the bakery was 45 mins late for delivery, but we the time window was big enough that we didn't experience any hitches or embarrassment when it did finally arrive. I very higher recommend this bakery to anyone for any occasion, even the occasional Tuesday dessert date!

We found out about Sugar Butter Flour through Yelp when we researched bakers for our wedding. We were charmed by their ability to create unique cakes, like the kind you see on those cake shows on TV. SBF was the first place we tasted at and the one we happily went with. Irit, the owner, met with us for the tasting. Me being a red velvet cake lover and my new husband a chocolate lover, we were in heaven when we took bites of SBF's chocolate hazelnut ganache and red velvet with cream cheese. My husband even reeled back a little from the chocolate cake - he was in love! We ended up getting one more flavor too: white cake with peach filling, for our less adventurous guests. I brought along pictures of our inspiration and Irit made some great suggestions on how to tie it in better to our wedding palette. The cake would be ivory and the flowers would be white, with some having gradual orange centers. Extra sheet cakes were ordered to feed our 200 guests and because of this, the cost was very reasonable. On my wedding day, I SQUEE-ed when I saw the cake! It was more adorable than I had even imagined. I still can't get over it! It was so good, I had all three flavors and even took my cake plate out on the dance floor to eat some more.

Hi, I just there today, I ordered 2 cookies chocolate, 2 walnut chocolate and 2 cranberry oatmeal cookies, I also ordered the opera chocolate cakes and the strawberry pies. The girl that helped me was okay but the older dirty blonde woman with an accent had a bad attitude towards customers, she’s very rude, mean and not friendly at all! She should stay at the back and out of sight cause we as customers do NOT want to see her grumpy face! This old woman should stay home or this place should close down immediately! That woman will just ruin your day, very unprofessional!! Thank you!
