My Dream Wedding Dress Experience

I cannot speak highly enough about the people at this bridal shop. My mom came to visit me one weekend from Wyoming and, as we were looking at other shops, I felt like I was simply a customer; I was just another number or appointment to them.

We randomly looked up bridal shops in Omaha on Google Maps and thankfully stumbled upon Suburban Bridal. From the moment I walked in and began trying on dresses Jacque made me feel so, so special. When I first walked in, she had me take a look at the different dresses on display and asked me what I liked and didn't like about each dress. She went to the back and found a bunch of dresses in my "style" and she ended up helping me find my dream gown.

A week later when I went with my sisters to show them my top three gowns, their jaws dropped when they saw THAT dress; I felt like a princess. My dress experience felt like one I could only dream of. All of the women who worked there, including the owner Mary Lou, were helping me pick out my veil and taking into account exactly what I loved about each one.

I truly felt so, so special from the moment I walked into this store to the very moment that I said, "Yes to THE dress!" I will post another review with the shipping and alterations process but I have absolutely NO DOUBT in my mind that the review will be positive as well.

I could not recommend this place enough; get your dress from here! You will not regret it. Every single dress looks like it was thought out with such detail. Thank you all for everything! I cannot wait to send you pictures of it on our big day!

I found the Perfect dress! Paid less than I expected to pay! Kim was awesome helping me nail down what I wanted. The owner was so sweet giving me advice on the most flattering designs and also giving me advice on flowers! Thank you for making my experience amazing. I'll post pics after the ceremony!

Wonderful Bridal Experience

I had such a great experience at this bridal store. Mary Lou & Jacquie were both absolute angels. So helpful, funny and kind. I highly recommend this place as not only are they wonderful people but the dresses are GORGEOUS. I had gone to 2 other stores before this one and never loved a dress I tried on and I felt so defeated. Then I came to Suburban Bridal & I immediately LOVED so many dresses right off the bat. It was hard to even make the decision because I loved several! Thank you again Suburban Bridal for making this so special for me!

This was the first & only place I needed to find my wedding dress. We had the salon all to ourselves for the appointment which made the experience so intimate. Kim, my consultant was absolutely amazing and i she pulled the perfect gowns out of their large selection for me after only hearing a brief summary of what i was looking for. Kim made the experience so much fun & so personal. It was the best experience I could have asked for!

Amazing people! I found my dream dress here and i’ve never been happier! All the ladies were incredible to work with and very willing to help make adjustments to the schedule as i was coming from a different state. loved the entire experience, definitely recommend!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Very helpful, good availability

I had a great experience at Suburban Bridal. I was able to make an appointment as early as the next day when I called on a weekend. This worked great for last minute plans with family/friends to attend. This was the first and only appointment I needed to find my dream dress! I went in not having a clue what I liked and left feeling so excited to have found my dress so easily. Christine was a great help! She was very genuine and informative, she helped me in and out of all the dresses so my family could just relax. We looked at the display dresses and she picked out a bunch in the back for me to try. I only tried on five or so dresses before I found my dress. Also, I had the pleasure of meeting Mary Lou and she was wonderful! Mary Lou had great advice and it made me feel good knowing she designed the dress I bought.

Amazing service, best place in Omaha

After shopping at almost every bridal shop in town and feeling discouraged I walked into Suburban Bridal. The lady’s were very helpful. The owner was there and helped me customized my dress. I love the friendly assistants and no pressure to purchase. Best in Omaha!

I received so many compliments!

The lovely woman who owns this boutique sold me my dress, and THEN told me she designed it! She knew so much about the fabric, and I was the only one in the small store. It was a wonderful experience. The dress was cheaper than it would have been elsewhere (about 1/3 the cost). I would recommend this place 1000 times over!

Above and Beyond

Christine spent over an hour and a half with me and didn't make me feel rushed. The other consultant and her were very cognizant of my budget and didn't even bring out any that were in the higher end of my budget of $1,000-$1,500. These gowns were all gorgeous with handmade lace at very reasonable prices. I left my consultation without a dress, but had one I was on the fence about. I went to two more salons that day and gave them a call close to closing time asking if I could try it on once more. They had it pulled and ready to go when I arrived. All I needed was to try it on again and I knew it was mine. I would highly recommend Suburban Bridal to anyone in the search for a wedding dress. My future sister-in-law found her wedding dress here too. I spent about $1,300 for the dress, veil, and tax on them.

My sister bought her dress here, so I knew there wasn't any place else to shop and there certainly wasn't! My experience has been great! They have directed me all along the way. Everything is turning out perfectly. They have an outstanding selection. Their staff is great. They will either get hands on to help you or let you do it more yourself to figure out what you want. Not to mention the prices are great!

I love this place! I had a very tight budget and not only did I have one dress to look at (like other snooty bridalshops around town), I had several that I had to choose between! I was so excited, the staff was so helpful and had lots of input! I would recommend to everyone, CHECK THEM OUT!!

If I had one word to describe my experience with Suburban Bridals it would be WONDERFUL! First off, Quality of Service, they always listened to what I wanted and then helped me find it. I had been several other places to look for a dress and none of them seemed to care about what I wanted. Second, Responsiveness, if I ever had a question they always answered right away. If they didn't have the answer at the time they would find out for me and call me back as soon as they could. Third, Professionalism, the ladies at the store always greeted me with a smile and were ready to help me at anytime. I really enjoyed going into the store because they always made me feel like a princess. Fourth, Value for Cost, I was shocked how inexpensive my dress was considering the couture build of the dress. The fabric of my dress was amazing and it was built so wonderfully, I looked 15 pounds lighter in my dress. Last of all, Flexibility, they have great hours to fit any schedule. Suburban Bridals is open late four nights a week and they are open on both weekend days. The only thing they could do to make their hours better is to have been open 24 hrs a day so I could have spent every free moment with my dress...lol...just kidding, they are awesome. I would recommend Suburban Bridals to everyone. I looked for my dress at several stores in Nebraska, Iowa, and Kansas. They are hands down the best store in all three states. Don't waste your time or money going anywhere else. Go to Suburban Bridals and have the once in a lifetime WONDERFUL experience they provide.

I loved shopping here. Best store in Omaha! I will recommend this store to everyone. I had a great time every time I went to Suburban Bridals. My dress was so beautiful. Everyone was so helpful and nice. Hortence did my alterations and she pressed and bustled my dress for free. I am sad my wedding is over because I don't have a reason to go in and chat with the girls anymore. You have to shop here, you will love it. They will make you feel so wonderful! Can't thank them enough for what they have done for me.

I orginally went to David's Bridal to find a dress and they wouldn't even look at us without an appointment. So we went to Suburban Bridal and they helped us right away. They asked me what kind of style I was looking for and even helped me find the accessories to go with my dress. I was able to find a dress in my price range and even had a great selection to choose from!

These guys were the friendliest store around! I went to them all to find the dress, actually fould it at another store, but my consultant told me to make sure I price check before I buy, they try to beat! I had gone back to order my dress and the other store where the dress was had "a price increase" of $400.00! I called these guys and they had said there was a recent increase but it was the price that I had seen before, not $400 higher! They even called the manufacturer to make sure the dress would be able to be here in time! You need to check this store out...they like to help the consumer not gouge them!

I don't know why people are giving such bad reviews to Suburban Bridal- I had a great experience there. After a long day of shopping we showed up here at the end of the day without an appointment- because I had just heard about it that day- and they still squeezed me in to their busy day and provided me with great service! I fell in love with a gown there- and all the gowns I tried on I liked a thousand times better than any other bridal shop I went to that day (David's Bridal, Bridal Traditions, Bridal Details).

I have nothing bad to say about Suburban Bridal. It was recommended to me by a friend who got her wedding dress there and raved about how great it was. Bridal traditions, on the other hand, was the worst experience of my life. They do not allow appointments, therefore when you go on a weekend you will stand in the store waiting for an hour just to be acknowledged and when you get a room to try on dresses they don't interact with you whatsoever.

I found my dress here and ordered it at the end of November. I came in with my mom and sister and it was the first place I tried on dresses. Lori and the other woman who was helping us were extremely helpful even though I had a hard time articulating what it was exactly that I wanted. They helped me find a perfect dress that I probably wouldn't have tried on, but they got to know my taste and my wedding style and knew exactly what would work. We signed the contract that afternoon! I came in the next day to show a bridesmaid and my father and she let me try on my dress again to show them and also have my bridesmaid try on a dress my sister had found the day before, even though it was about 10 minutes to close when we showed up. Reading some of the reviews about the service are surprising to me- I'm glad I didn't read them before I went. I have had nothing but a very positive experience with them so far, though it is making me reconsider using their alterations department.

After going to a couple of other places looking for a dress and experiencing rude service and poor selection, this place was a breath of fresh air!!! The owner waited on me personally and was genuinely interested in my taste and what exactly I was looking for before she picked several for me to try on. As it turned out, the one I picked had been designed by the owner herself. She didn't push it on me, but told me after I had picked it.

The lady who did my alterations there was WONDERFUL! I cannot say enough about her! Her name is Renee. I have a large chest, and she told me exactly who to go to for a strapless bra, and it was like a miracle, I never thought I'd be able to go strapless. Everything fit beautifully on my wedding day and everything was FANTASTIC!

The ONLY issue I had with them was that we had been told by the alterations person that when my dress was done and I picked it up, I would get a garment bag from them for free (we had a destination wedding and needed to take it on the plane). However, when my husband picked up the dress, they wanted to charge him for the garment bag and even argued with him over it, so he left. He then went to another bridal shop and bought 2 for cheaper than Suburban wanted to charge him. I later talked to Renee (alterations) and she was very upset that we had been treated that way by the person at the front desk.

Overall, though, this was a great experience that I actually enjoyed and I am NOT a dress person and was NOT that into the wedding planning.

Made the experience memorable!

My experience at this store was amaizing! I tried four stores before this one and I can say that the atmosphere, quality, and price of dresses cannot be beat! The store keep their dresses in excellent condition so that you can buy a sale dress that does not have rips and tears. It made wedding dress shopping into the experience I was searching for.

My whole life I have hated wedding dresses. I've always felt sorry for the women who "had to" wear one, if they didn't have a model perfect body. I am short, stocky and 47 years old, not the typical young bride. I have never been married before and my fiance would not accept a "good enough" mentality. He insisted on a traditional, formal wedding. I dreaded shopping for and "having to" wear a wedding dress. I visited a few other shops where I was treated poorly; then I visited Suburban Bridal. Jacque gave the right amount of space and attention. My sister, mom and I selected various types of dresses to try on. The third dress I tried actually looked good. I bought it. The seamstress created a higher back and sleeves and the dress was one of a kind and stunning. I had curves that went the right way, I could move, sit and dance in comfort. I felt beautiful on our wedding day and I will forever treasure the moment my husband saw me walking down the aisle.

I had a great experience with Suburban Bridal and absolutely loved my dress! Since I live out of town (family is in Omaha though), they were very flexible on fitting me in for fittings during specific weekends. I got my dress right on time and it was beautiful! I am a Kansas City bride, but bought my dress in Omaha, my matron of honor's hometown, after I went looking there with her over a long weekend. The reason I bought from Suburban bridal was mostly because of the selection of beautiful but also very affordable dresses. My dress was from their store specific line, and therefore less expensive but needed longer time to produce. I would definitely recommend any Omaha or Lincoln brides to look at Suburban Bridal for the great value, however don't go in expecting the phenomenal "Say Yes to the Dress" experience. The store itself is more modest than others but still has all the essentials (dressing rooms, large hmirrors/pedastals, etc). The majority of staff is very knowledgeable and helpful, but we did get some conflicting information at times about details that was slightly frustrating and we did get it resolved fairly easily. I was also a bit underwhelmed with their lack of help with post-sale matters (my dress was not steamed and I was not given a zippered bag for my gown, because I was not doing my alterations with them due to the travel distance)

Found the perfect dress at Suburban! They had a wide array of designs to choose from and after finding the perfect gown, Mary Lou personally helped me find the perfect veil to pair with it. There are many gowns in many price ranges as well, so they are able to accommodate many budgets!

After reading some of the reviews, I was hesitant about going here. However, the consultant was very helpful and she knew exactly what I was looking for. I had pulled 5 dresses and wasn't having any luck and she came in with the ONE! The experience was amazing! My mother even commented on their salesmanship because they dimmed the lights to make my dress sparkle even more!

I was able to purchase my dress off the rack at Suburban Bridal in Omaha, NE. My experience here was, for the most part, pleasant. Most of the employees were helpful and courteous. They offer a payment plan. They offered me a significant discount on the dress since I bought it off the rack. I did not have alterations of bead work done there due to the cost. I will go back there for dresses for other formal events in the future and would recommend this vendor to others getting married or looking for formal wear for other events.

Only complaint picked out all bridesmaids dresses and paid for them, then received a call the following week saying they wouldn't be ready in time and had to go elsewhere. Got our money back. My dress was purchased there and was absolutely beautiful.

I loved my wedding dress and veil from Suburban Bridals. My experience picking out my dress was really great too! The alterations lady isn't very friendly, however. Nevertheless, she did good job with my dress. I received tons of compliments about my dress and how unique and gorgeous it was!

The main problem I encountered occurred with my dress and veil actually coming in on time. I had to call several times about my dress. Eventually, it came in. However, when I went in for my first fitting, my veil hadn't come in yet. The sales staff seemed concerned and called the manufacturer. The veil came in a week later. However, it wasn't the right veil. Someone had ordered the wrong one. So I was told they would put a rush on the right veil so it would arrive a week before my wedding. Luckily it did. Nonetheless, it was very stressful to deal with.

I loved my dress and sales experience. I did not love the alteration lady or the mishaps which occurred with my veil. Overall, I would recommend Suburban Bridal because the dresses are beautiful, and I like the shopping environment (not crowded or chaotic).

I had a wonderful experience at Suburban. It was the last stop of the day after several other stores. I am a size 16 and still had lots of dress options to try on (that was not the case though for my bridesmaids as the bridesmaid dress size options are very limited). I found the dress I had been picturing! The service was fantastic (I am sorry to read so many bad reviews). The pricing was more than I wanted, but the dress was still less than $1000.

My dress was beautiful and I loved everything about it. I will say that they don't seem very professional. Everytime I went in I would be waiting at the counter for at least 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged I was there, I can understand once but the 6 times I went in there is a little ridiculous. Also, if you're looking for any kind of help picking dresses out, go elsewhere... They give you a room and tell you to go pick out some dresses and start helping someone else while they are waiting on you.

I scheduled an appointment at this location ahead of time. They were quick to get me situated in their store and helped me find dresses that I was interested in. I did see another couple walk in ahead of me who did not make an appointment. The sales person did not seem pleased. My frustration came when I explained my budget. I pointed to a specific dress that was outside of my price range. It was $2000. SUPER amazing, but SUPER outside of my budget. My sales lady still stuck that dress along with others near or over that price range into my fitting room. I tried them all on, just to go with it. She really kept pushing me to purchase the dress that I initially said I cannot afford. It was more frustrating than anything to feel ignored just for the person to try and get their sale. I did not purchase my dress from this vendor. If you have a flexible pocketbook, this may be a wonderful option, but ultimately not for me.

Suburban Bridal, has stunning designer gowns at very affordable prices. I bought my dream dress there and once it arrived I couldn't have been happier. Suburban even assisted me days before my wedding in getting a sash that I saw in the store for one of my fitting.

My only reservation in recommending the store to the newly engaged is all the secrecy around the dresses. My dress took longer to come in than I was told. No one called me and when I called I received short or rude responses. So be sure you order with enough time! The staff is not overly friendly and at times can be perceived as nothing but rude.

With that said. You never know, your dress may be awaiting you at Suburban.

I have mixed reviews. I ordered my bridesmaids dresses here. They told me appx 3 weeks to receive my color swatches. Over 2 months and multiple calls later I finally got them. They were ordered in the wrong color!! They did fix it though, even after they were made and delivered. It took a lot longer to get them but I love them. Although they made a big mistake they corrected it very professionally.

I would recommend to avoid...

The whole experience at suburban bridal was the worst experience I had at any bridal shop. The first thing that made me nervous was how many times this bridal shop has changed locations in the last few years. Right now, it’s situated in a tiny building space that seems more like a storage unit or small warehouse. They also only have about 10 dresses on display, the rest are in the back and they don’t allow you to see them. The consultant brings the dress out to you. Second, the owner and “designer” is so rude and off-putting. She showed me a dress and told me “that’s way above your budget, you can’t afford this dress. But I make copies of these dresses so I’ll show you the one I made and that one is within your budget”. Don’t get me wrong, they have some beautiful dresses. But it seemed like such a shady business practice. I showed the consultant my favorite dress at a different location, and the owner immediately started talking bad about the designer (Essence of Australia) and tried very hard to talk me out of getting that dress at the other bridal shop. I left Suburban Bridal within 30 minutes of walking in the door. I loved one of the dresses I tried on, but the whole experience was so off-putting that I decided the business was NOT something I wanted to support with such an important purchase.

The girls were very helpful the day I picked out my gown, which was just wonderful! The downfall came to when my gown came in and I could not find anyone to help me with my gown (to try it on again once it came in). They left me high and dry once I paid for the thing. It was a bummer at best. Still, the service I had while looking for my gown was quite nice, just wish they would have continued being helpful throughout the whole process.

I bought a dress that I was told was a design by the owner of the store. I loved the design. I figured that with the money I spent for the dress, I would get a dress with quality. Unfortunately, the dress's quality was terrible. The alteration department obviously did not take pride in their work. When I came to pick up my dress, I said I wanted to try it on before it left the store, and the alterations lady acted upset that I wanted to. Good thing I did because the seam on the back was ripped, and she fixed it. The day of the wedding, I found another seam ripped on the rouching of the dress's waist. Plus, the side seam came undone after an hour of wearing it. Overall, I loved the design, but the quality was terrible.

I will admit that I enjoyed the atmosphere of this bridal shop more than most. There were never as many people in there as there were at David's Bridal or other big chains. It was one on one attention that I enjoyed. I actually didn't even pick my dress out, the woman that was helping me did. I came in not knowing exactly what I wanted and she found a lot of things that I liked. What is nice about this place is that your dress it made for you. You don't just buy it off the rack. The problem is the amount of time that it takes to get the dress in. I ordered it in July 2005 and it didn't come in until March or April of the next year. I knew I still had some time until my wedding in July but I wanted the reassurance that my dress was here. The other thing was the tailoring. They have someone in there that does the tailoring as an outside vendor. They are separate of the bridal shop. While the women who do the tailoring are extremely nice, they charge too much. All my bridemaids and I had to have some sort of tailoring done. My one friend came in from out of town and they had her try on her dress and they pinned it. When she went to pick up her dress the next day it hadn't been touched. The wedding was in 24 hours. So you can imagine my feelings. They didn't do it and she was able to wear it with some of my own alterations. I would recommend them but watch for extra charges.

I can't really figure them out. One-on-one they were nice to me and very helpful in choosing a dress. Lisa actually found the dress I ended up falling in love with just based on my description. As much as I hate to do this, I have to ding them on service and responsiveness because they were so often rude to me on the phone, rude to my mother on the phone and in person, and rude to my maid of honor when she called. I'm not sure if it's just one or two employees, but it made me sad that people were having a hard time dealing with them. They have lovely dresses, though.

I would NOT recommend Suburban Bridal to my worst enemy. They lost my appointments, charged WAY too much for alterations, sent my dress to the wrong store so it didn't arrive until the week before the wedding. The price was perfect though, but that wasn't exactly their doing. I ordered a bridesmaid's dress in ivory (because i wanted a tea-length dress) and it was only 180 dollars. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH SUBURBAN BRIDAL OF OMAHA.

We had a horrible experience with Suburban Bridal. My dress was okay, no problems there but with my bridesmaids...
I had picked out the cutest dresses for my bridesmaids,. they all loved them, it was perfect!! When they came in, well it was the wrong dress. Okay, thats fine whatever, I let it slide, at least it was the same color I had ordered. Then one of my bridesmaids wen to pick up her dress, and what do you know, they didnt have it...at all, and she was getting married two weeks before me (and they wouldnt be back from their honeymoon until the sunday before mine) so her alterations would have to be done first. But that couldnt happen, because her dress didnt appear until two days before her own wedding. :( all they could do was change the length so it wasnt longer than everyone elses.
Oh there's more...for my same friends wedding, I was a bridesmaid as well. I went to get my dress altered and told the lady that she wanted the length to be at knee length, well, the lady was like ":well how many inches" and I said I didnt quite know, just that she wanted it knee length. I get the dress back, and its definately longer than all of her other bridesmaids dresses. so not only did I feel like a fool, but it made the pictures look bad...
basically dont go to suburban for your bridesmaid dresses..

This review is a hard one for me to write simply because I love my dress so very much; however, my dress shop experience was not anything I would recommend to any bride-to-be, or anyone looking to spend hundreds of dollars on a dress for one day so I feel compelled to share my story. Ultimately, a bride will do what is needed to get the dress of her dreams. I tried to maintain every bit of polite behavior when the alterations that were paid in cash weeks before had not been done yet, and they didn't want me to try on the dress when I picked it up before the big day. It still wasn't done two days before the wedding - things I had asked to be done immediately upon buying the dress 8 months before. Of course, they won't touch it until it is paid for, and they did allow my mom to make payments, which I know she liked. And there is some staff there that is sweet as can be. But it is ask the same question and get five different answers, and promises made are not promises kept. That was the hardest part for me. My Maid of Honor really had to be assertive with the seamstress to get any attention even though we had scheduled an appointment (or two). It was simply the worst service in my entire wedding planning year. I loved the dress. The dress made it worth it to have less than desirable service, but they really did increase my stress level quite dramatically with not delivering on promises and rules that didn't make sense (like not trying on the dress when you pick it up. She actually laughed when I told her that Martha Stewart said I should try on the dress before leaving the store with it).

Would I recommend it? I would give a long-winded warning before ever sending a bride there, but I wouldn't be surprised if she found the dress of her dreams. As long as she doesn't expect the service to be dreamy, she will be happy with her dress.

I wish I could say that it was a pleasure to do business here, but I can't. Though I found a gown I loved, the service here was pretty awful. They didn't answer any of my questions about my dress, they sent me home with the wrong size because they didn't check the tags, they misplaced my veil, and what's worse, they didn't seem to think any of this was a problem!! The owner of the shop actually laughed about it! Had I known what I know now about Suburban Bridal, I would have shopped elsewhere. And I certainly won't be recommending this place to other brides.

I was really disappointed with my overall experience here. They had the dresses I wanted for my bridesmaids, but they were extremely rude to my girls, they have terrible customer service, and their system is stuck in the stone age. FITTINGS One of them (a size 4 fit her perfectly in the store) was told after her measurements that her "butt was so big" she should order a size 12! Thankfully she ordered a size 8, and even that is too big. Another bridesmaid, normally a size 4-6 was told the same thing-- she got a 12 and its HUMONGOUS on her. Another bridesmaid was told because she is 5'10 she would need to add "additional length" (despite my other 5'9 bridesmaids being told they didn't need it). It came in and she's swimming in 6" of additional length she paid $25 extra for, that now she has to pay to get hemmed. They told my 5'1, 95 pound sister in law she would need a size 8-- she's literally a 0-00 in most dresses and ended up ordering a 2 thankfully which fits great. DON'T BELIEVE THEIR SIZING! They want you to order WAY too big so you'll alter with them and pay them even more money! We didn't alter a single dress with them because they're so ridiculous. CUSTOMER SERVICE We dealt mostly with Courtney, who I honestly feel had no idea what was going on 90% of the time. She never could answer my questions, she struggled to work the credit card machine, she just generally appeared like she had no idea how to do her job and had this weird attitude that was somewhere between fake genuine/snotty. She failed to tell me until I was placing the order that the lace could only be ordered in 3 colors of which none matched So I had to start all over looking at another style, wasting another hour of my time. Their deposit is the dress' cost minus $25-- JUST TO PLACE THE ORDER! I know these dresses are expensive and custom ordered but sheesh, $225 is a hefty "deposit." I asked them to let me know when all the girls' dresses came in so that I could make sure they were all done in

My dress was absolutely beautiful. The people at Suburban weren't always the friendliest. The main reason for the low rating is because of the alterations. The lady was very crabby and unpleasant to work with. She didn't seem to want to be there and didn't want to do the alterations I was asking for. The store has beautiful gowns, but the employees were hard to work with.

Had a 5 star experience until after myself (bride) and 7 bridesmaids purchased our dresses from here. It seemed after they had our money they had no reason to be nice anymore. The owner is so rude!! When I told her I won't send anyone I know getting married to her store she said, "oh well".

I asked her to steam a bridesmaid dress of one of my girls who lived out of town. Bc I had left the store with it and brought it back she told me she wouldn't do that. Bridal traditions did it for me in a past wedding. I had called Suburban and the lady told me to bring it in. Once I got there it was a whole new story.

The owner told me she didn't care about my dress, she cared about her equipment. She said there could be grease on my dress and didn't want it getting on her equipment. What the hell!? It was still in its bag. I asked why when I called they said to bring it in to be steamed, and now she's saying, "no". She responded with, "well, it doesn't matter, we will not do it".

No wonder your store never has customers.

I shopped there 6 months ago, and I'm still appalled at the totally rude service I had. The employee was not at all welcoming. She did not ask me my name, nor tell me her name. She did not explain anything about the store (like no "go ahead and look around" "are dresses are arranged by such and such"). She was rude to my future mother-in-law. I tried on a bunch of dresses, but she was so cold to me that I just couldn't get into it (and of course I had decided w/i 10 minutes that I would not buy a dress there). I had a great experience at the other stores in Omaha and Minnesota where I looked. I truly am surprised that this place has stayed in business.

PLEASE take all these bad reveiws to heart - this place is AWFUL!!!! To point out the facts and take the my personal opinion out of it - their dressing rooms are unbelieveably small (for the large dresses you may be trying on) and have a split curtain as the 'door' that never really closes (you get something a LOT better than this at a department store - - where you'd be spending a lot less!!!). Their 'pedistool' is a 12" x 6" wooden stool that honestly is a HAZARD. Unlike other salons where they have a nice wooden box for you to stand on to see how the dress flows, you honestly have to stand on a dangerous little stool - hoping not to lose your balance...or stand on NOTHING. They cut all the tags out of their dresses so I was unable to find my dress anywhere else and ended up having to give them business - BIG MISTAKE. They didn't call me when it was in, couldn't give me a tracking number when I asked them to ship it etc etc etc. The dress I received was so different from the one I tried on in the store that I ended up going to Bridal Traditions to buy another dress, which I was thrilled with their rooms, their runways, their customer service. Please do not give Suburban Bridal your business - - let them feel the 'downturn' to make some MUCH needed changes or simply go out of business. They ruined the experience for me - upset my entire family - and it doesn't appear I'm the first one. Best of luck to finding your perfect dress -- just DON'T LOOK HERE!!

Shopping for a wedding dress should be one of the most exciting parts of planning a wedding. Unfortunately for my sister, they absolutely ruined this day for her. The sales woman was short, rude, and cold. She started to change her attitude when a sale seemed like a definite possibility. Five of us went to help my daughter choose her wedding dress. Salesperson would now allow her to shop the store's dresses and only brought out what she thought my daughter might like.... to no avail. NIGHTMARE, AWFUL OWNER. This company/owner LIED to me & gave me run around, just awful to me. My dress was 23 DAYS LATE, NEVER EVEN SAW THE DRESS BEFORE THE WEDDING. I would never recommend Suburban Bridal ever!! The alterations lady Renee treated me like I was bothering her,not the way you want to feel ever but especially when preparing for the most important day of your life!! She was way over priced and the work was poorly done. One of the ladies on the phone, Marium, was so rude I am suprised anybody even walks into this place,I unfortunately didn't listen to my gut feelings. I will say the owner is nice but you will hardly deal with her. Avoid the extra stress so avoid this place!!!!!!

I had an absolutely awful experience trying on dresses here. If you happen to be among a large percentage of the bridal population that is average or plus sized, avoid at all costs if you want to keep your self esteem intact. Immediately when we entered, there was no kind welcome or even "hi", we were barked at to take off our shoes. I told the woman I had an appointment and she curtly asked "for what?" instead of looking where I'd clearly indicated I wanted to try on bridal gowns. They just dumped me in the room to look at dresses myself, really didn't ask what I was looking for or make any helpful suggestions. I carried my own dresses to a dressing room that felt like a cattle call, zero privacy or discretion. The first dress I tried on, the woman opened the curtain and loudly yelled to my family and friend with me that it was "WAY TOO SMALL" and they needed to come over to look. Later, in front of everyone, she said I wouldn't be able to try one on because it was too small. I assumed we were picking styles, not sizes, but again, no direction, so I didn't even pay attention to sizing. Either way, she completely humiliated me, was entirely unhelpful, and it turns out she OWNS THE PLACE! I couldn't even believe it! There are enough options in the Omaha area, I genuinely cannot believe this place is still in business if this is the way the OWNER treats people. I would not recommend to anyone.

If I could rate this business any worse I would. AWFUL! The consultants name was Lisa. If you are booked with her change your booking! I went to several different bridal salons and this was by far the worst experience I had. I should have known better than to book an appt at Suburban especially after my best friend and one of my sisters didn't have very good experiences there...even one of my coworkers said she wished she would have warned me about them. It really put a damper on my day. The day a girl picks out her wedding dress is supposed to be one of the MOST special and important days of her life. Suburban bridal ruined that for me. Not only was she rude to me (the bride) and my mother, but also to my sisters. Even if I would have found the absolute dress of my dreams I would never have purchased it from them. I would have scoured the United States or settled for another dress before I purchased it from Suburban Bridals. If I could give them a negative rating I would.

***ACTED LIKE THE DRESS I TRIED ON NEVER EXISTED IN THEIR STORE**SINCE THEY MOVED, THEY HAVE MORE PROM DRESSES THAN WEDDING DRESSES**THEY INSISTED, CONTINUALLY, THAT I WAS MIS-REMEMBERING WHAT DRESS I ORDERED**THEY NEVER ADMITTED THEY MADE A MISTAKE**TERRIBLE PLACE***

***THE ONLY "FIX" THEY OFFERED WAS A REFUND*** I DIDN'T NEED A REFUND, I NEEDED A DRESS***THE OWNER LIED TO ME BY SAYING THE FOLLOWING:

1) "I have been in business 55 years and this has never happened"

2) "The woman who took your order no longer works here, but I called her, and she remembers that this dress here (the said wrong dress) is the one you ordered."

Literally, the owner/manager? of the shop said this to me. She did not offer any possibility of finding the right dress. I did, literally say about 35 times, "this is not the dress I ordered." She never conceded that point, and she never apologized. She only wanted to alter the dress that had been delivered, or give me one of the dresses on their rack. I could not find one I wanted. My mom is waiting for a mailed check for the 50% deposit we put down.

My daughter picked out a veil with her gown, we then went back 6months before the wedding and found a veil we liked better. The salesperson told us that it would be no problem to change veils at that time. We did just that. We then went in 2months before wedding to pick up gown and veil. The veil was the first one we had picked out. We were told we had to keep this one and then if we wanted the other one we would have to purchase it, ending up with 2 veils. I attempted to talk with manager and owner both of which are the most rudest and unprofessional people I have met. We also have 6 bridesmaids that ordered dresses from here. They had plenty of our money and could not manage to come to an agreement over a $180 veil. RUDE,RUDE and more RUDE. The owner has no personality and her workers lie to keep their jobs.

Absolutely the worst! Do not go there! Dress did not come in as ordered and spent a fortune on alterations. Staff was rude and inconsisderate. Find someone else!

I actually worked for Suburban Bridal for a short while. The owner is a terrible businesswoman who clearly does not know how to run an establishment. I cannot believe they have managed to stay in business. Her mother should still be running the store! The whole system of how they do commissions is so screwed up as well as how they treat customers and choose to have their entire store set up is just disgusting. I plan on owning my own shop some day and I pray that no one says terrible things like this about me.

Absolutely terrible experience! Lisa and the alterations gal were extremely RUDE to me after my dress came in and I paid in full! The alterations were done so horribly my dress was not recognizable at my final fitting! It was also still held together with safety pins-the only thing that was done to it since the previous appointment was the lace was ripped and the dress looked dirty like someone had tried it on and worn it-when I asked about a bulge of fabric on my waist that was supposed to be fitted-the alterations gal told me it was my figure that had the problem and not her work! She also told me my dress would not be complete until the day before my wedding! I had to go out and purchase a back up dress off the rack somewhere else-luckily I did because when I picked up my dress from Suburban it was still being held together by pins and there was ripped lace and loose thread all over-they couldn't tell me how to do the train on my dress and it looked even dirtier than the previous appointment! They were so rude to my parents when they tried to reason with the manager! I would not wish my experience on my worst enemy!! If you have already ordered your dress from them DO NOT use their alterations department!

I recently went to this shop and this was the worst experience I ever had. Not only were the employees mad and put out that they actually had to help me find my dress, they made overtly racist comments and even when I returned, did nothing to help me in taking the dress home. They did not offer any services, such as alterations, nor did they offer me a bag to actually carry by dress home. and the hanger it was on broke when I put it in the car!!! If you can get your dress anywhere else, PLEASE do. It was the most unfortunate thing that I found 'the one' there. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!

I would NEVER refer any one to Suburban Bridal in Omaha. They "forgot" to order the bridesmaids dresses and flower girl dresses. And then they promised to have them the week before the wedding and called a week later and said there was no way possible to get the dresses and they weren't even going to deal with the problem and we should just come get our money and go someplace else. This was less than ONE MONTH before the wedding. Not to mention they were rude about the whole situation, not sympathetic in the least bit. They do not care about the customer at all. The manager is rude and has the personality of a rock. I would never go back here ever again for any reason.

The b ig large woman is a joke and should NOT be in gthe bridal business. She belongs in a govenment job for people with no talent, no personality. They do not have your best interest at heart and do not have talented or very experienced people working there. IT is a scary place and I have several friends getting married in the next year and I will not let them shop at Suburban. Bridal Traditions is a heavenly boutique with exceptionally talented and caring staff. If you don't want your wedding ruined don't go to Suburban Bridal. I can't believe they are still in business.
